I think Chet was just more of a. We picked him with the number two pick. We know his skill set. He could be really, really good and we just gonna solidify it. Cause we did what we did. Most definitely. Shout out to J Dub and what I thought was dope about J Dub, you know what I'm saying? He recently came out and said he was playing injured. One thing I hate was people talk about when they injured, when they lose. So for him to go hoop with no excuses, I know everybody was dog pounding him like he need to show up, he need to play better. He's like, I was hurt, I had to figure it out. Shout out to him, man, that's fire. I respect that a whole lot, man. For you to play through the Injury, not complain, not try to have an excuse and get to it and win a chip. That's fire. And you got a crazy payday.

The Nuggets definitely look like they're ready for a championship. The Rockets, like you said, got kd Lakers. You never know what's capable for them. We count them out and then they go get Luga, Doncic, so you never know what may happen to them.

And then even the Grizzlies like Job being fully healthy for some reason. When he's healthy, that team just figures it out. Most definitely, it was a three seed before he went out. Like they just figured shit out. And I'm a huge drama right there.

I think he got to score, though, on that team.

Triple J. Triple J averaged 20 something points last.

You got Ty Drone on that team giving some help scoring off the bench as well.

That's what you're supposed to do when you end up like Indiana Pacers, where people have your team a long time and they don't want to stay. Yeah, for sure. All right, man. Some other songs around in the league, man. Herb Jones got paid three years, 68 M's, you know what I'm saying? The Pelicans locking down a young, nice defender on that team. A lot of people were very interested in Herb Jones looking to get him in the off season. But the Pelicans said, nah, we keeping that young roster, man. They got a lot of talent. They got a lot to figure out. Y' all think it's some hope? I know, T, you ain't really feeling it be here. You still high on the Pelicans, for sure.

I think my fears, if he healthy, he gone, he gonna have a good year. And big boy from Maryland, he nasty.

He can hoop. When I watch Jeremiah F. Play, he good, but he. He's good, but he just don't like. When I watch certain people, I look at their movements. He got good movements and stuff, but he just. He looks smaller than what I expected, you know what I mean? Like, he looked just kind of remind me of some players that he just don't look like he looked when I watched the film in college.

I mean, so with him being small what you think he gotta do to stand out, to make up for it?

He gonna have to be able to shoot way more. I mean, he's more of a, like, finish at the rim. You remember how Sharif Cooper played, and he had all that shit, and he got to the rim and he had jump into you and shit. That don't really work in the NBA. And he kind of do that a little bit, you know what I mean? Like, he gets to the rack, jump into you. They don't call those fouls no more. And it's a lot tougher to fin over those dudes in the league. Like, most of the Point guards are 6, 7, 6 5. The wings are 6, 8, 6, 9. They got good length, and the best athletes in the world, the bigs touch the top of the square down there. It's gonna be a little tougher to finish over those dudes like that. So he gonna have to learn how to get that little floater. Okay, he gonna be able to shoot that three. But his pacing, he plays fast, and he got a lot of handle and stuff, but he got to be able to create a little differently, right?

Most definitely. I think he'll have an adjustment period, but I think once he figures it out, he gonna really figure it out. He'll get all them little trick layups and flops.

Yeah, but he'll figure it out. It's like a lot of people compare their game to Kyrie Irving, but they don't realize, like, Kyrie Irving has every single shot mastered.

Like, he got every shot. So I'm not saying he can't ever get to that level. I'm not. I don't know.

Difference with Kyrie is, though, he came in the league.

That's my whole point. Like, when you see. When you seen Kyrie, you like, this is different. And I'm not saying he's not different, but it's gonna take a adjustment period. Cause he don't really. He shoot threes or layups. His midi, I mean, that's what the NBA was for a minute. They didn't shoot midi. So he fit what the league wanted to do. But he gonna have to be, like, a great passer. His rookie year. Like, until he learned that adjustment, how to get them floaters and all that stuff off, he gonna have to shoot his passing, gonna have to be on point. Once he get that, shit'll open up. But when I watch him, he's, like, trying to get buckets downhill doing that shit. And it just kind of put me in the mind of Sharif Cooper. I mean, obviously Sharif Cooper wasn't as. I mean, he wasn't that. As a. Fuck it. He wasn't that athletic, but he could pass, but he really couldn't shoot. So it was like a difference. I don't know. But it used to remind me of the same people when I watched the summer league. Like, damn, that's what Sharif was doing. Yeah. Cause I was watching the Hawks at that time.

Most definitely. One thing I like about him is, like you said, he's gonna be in a situation where he got other killers on his team. So that passing might come a little bit easy.

But they not really killers, though.

I mean, not saying they not killers, but, like, compared to NBA killing, like, they all in the same boat. Like, think about it. You got jp, jp, He a killer, but we don't look at JP as a person you about to lean on to tell my franchise, like, point guard, like, we ain't about to go put my arm around him, like, this is how you about to get it done. J.P. still kind of like the little brother of the niggas to us. Like, that's how I look at it. I mean, I know he averaged 20 points, but. Yeah, in the Wizards, like, he.

He a super talent, but he not like a staple.

Nah. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like, he cold. We know he can play basketball, but he like a six man. He like a Malik Monk. He like, true.

He can't really be the veteran to be like, hey. Cause he really wants you not to say it like this, but he trying.

So it's a little difference when somebody playing and you can see what they doing and they telling you how to get to their spot. But when I'm just talking you through it like a coach, it don't really hit the same. Like, but Alvarado, he gonna help him, but he gonna be hoping like it's the NBA. He gonna be hoping. My man's is having bad nights. Like, shit, I'm trying to get in the game. Yeah.

That's why I wish he had a dude like Chris Paul. Like, luckily I had like, a dude like Mike Bibby going on his way out. Yeah, that kind of. I wish I could have played more.

Yeah, but I wish he had, like, a little older point guard where he still get to play. Like, I wish I put it in the same, like, realm with Minnesota. If they would have did it differently with Mike and Rob. Like, they still had old Mike, but they would have let Rob play a little more. Obviously he'd be way better player, but I wish he had that same scenario.

Have y' all watched Rob this summer? Most definitely look solid. He had a game where he got comfortable. That first game he didn't look too comfortable. But that second game, he looked comfortable for sure. Him and Terence Shane was out there getting their off for sure.

Yeah, he. He looked good. I mean, it's the summer league, so you know, you know how it go. Like, especially when you in your second year, you kind of don't really want to be there. Like, you gonna go hoop? Cause you got to, but you don't really want to be there.

He kind of said that, like, I'm excited to just play basketball. Last year was a little bit tougher for me. I didn't get, you know what I'm saying, to get on the court as much I would have hoped. But I'm happy just to be out here playing the game I love. And you can really tell how he was playing for sure in that situation. Another player on that pelican scene will move on from Jordan Hawkins. Tugor. I was a really big fan of him. I don't know what the minutes like for him, but I hope he get a real chance, you know what I'm saying? Get his off. I'm a big George. Yeah. He's nice to me.

He was putting it up last year. Don't get it twisted. Some good games though.
