If you are a Miami Dolphins fan, if you live in the city of Miami, if you were born in the state of Florida, I don't want to hear you say foot or ball. I don't want to hear you say pig skin. I don't want to hear you say NFL. Don't do it. I'll take it from here. The Dolphins are 0 and 2 after 3,327 loss to the Patriots. They allowed points on the opponents first 10 drives this season and now face, on a short week, the Buffalo Bills. Ojo. Hey, can I. Yeah, you can tell me something.
Ocho
You know we going. We going to play in Buffalo, right, Thursday night. I know that, yes. If I was to sit here and tell you, right, that if you understand the game of football, if you understand the way the NFL works, that the Dolphins gonna go in there and they're gonna be Buffalo Thursday night, would you believe me?
267
You wouldn't. You wouldn't believe it.
Ocho
If I tell you Friday morning that the Miami Dolphins will be one and two going into week four, would you believe me? Okay.
267
I saw what Drake May did to y'. All. What you think? What do you think? What do you think Josh Allen's gonna do?
Ocho
You know, I like your confidence. I like your confidence you have in 17. I like it.
267
I. I know you don't like. I know you don't like the confidence that you got in number one.
Ocho
Are we gonna be all right? We gonna be all right. You know. You know, it's only week two, huh?
267
It's old for y', all, Ocho. You know that. I know that. Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Ocho
Slow down, slow down. So is it over for the Chiefs?
267
Yeah. One of them. One of them got two, and the other one got Patrick Mahomes. One of them got Andy Reid, and the other got Mike McDaniel. Now, which one? Who has who?
Ocho
I like. I like that you counting us out. I like that. I like that. I like that you throwing in the towel. I like that you have no confidence, man.
267
It's over for the good. Okay? The Miami Guppies, that's what y' all are officially, y' all are the guppies.
Ocho
Okay. Okay.
267
I mean, we was a little kid, Chad. I know y' all remember when you were a little kid and the fish tank, and at the end of the day, they would let you take some of the guppies home and I take. And I have no fish tank, but I would take the guppy. They put them in a little plastic bag with some water, and I end up having to throw the guppy in the wood. My grandma said, boy, don't you put that damn fishing up mayonnaise jar.
Ocho
All right. Hey, you. Hey, you. Everybody's smiling in the chat. Everybody, everybody. Everybody laughing in the chat. But when we get on the show Thursday and I get on here boasting and hollering, you won't. I say, I told you so. I took watch. Chat, y'. All. Y' all remember this, too.
267
Now, Drake may put up 33. What? Drake may put up 33 on y'. All. Drake.
Ocho
All right.
267
May 19. This man was 19 or 24.
Ocho
Hey, we gonna make a believe out of you. We gonna make a believer. Everybody in the chat.
267
That's. Man. Anybody look here. Everybody know the guppies ain't gonna do nothing. Y' all ain't did nothing in a while. They bout to break this thing up.
Ocho
Wait a minute. Hold on, hold on. You know it's still hot, right?
267
Yeah. And y' all losing when it's hot.
Ocho
You know how well we play. You know how well we play when it's hot. Especially when we go into Buffalo this early in the season. I'm just curious, you know. You know Buffalo is a division opponent, right?
267
Yep.
Ocho
You know, we know them very well. They know our tendencies. We know their tendencies. We play very well against the Buffalo Bills when it's not cold.
267
Tua got sacked five times.
Ocho
Hey, how many times Bo Nick got sacked today?
267
Two, I think.
Ocho
Okay.
267
I know. I tell you what. I bet we have a better record than the Guppies.
Ocho
The Broncos, one and one, right?
267
We better. Our record better than the Guppies. Bonitz got sacked 0 times when he.
Ocho
And I both got sacked twice a day.
267
Tyreek and Tua wasn't on the same page. Tua did. Tyreek did have 6 for a buckle, 9. A Chan had 8 for 92. Waddle had 5 for 68 in the tub. Guppies ain't gonna do nothing. No Joe. Y' all don't worry about it. Be no big fish. Y' all will be. Y', all. Y'. All. Y'. All. Y' all feed a fish. Y' all know that. You know what feeder fish is, right? That we. They feed y' all to the other fish. That's what they do with the guppy.
Ocho
Okay?
267
So they feed y' all to Buffalo and other good teams.
Ocho
Hey, keep the same. Keep the same Energy Thursday, please.
267
I am.
Ocho
Keep, keep the same energy. When we come on the show Thursday night and I sit here, I'm gonna have on my tour jersey. I'm gonna have on my tour jersey. I'm gonna be like, I told you so. I told you so.
267
Ocho, let's take a listen to what Tua had to say after the game. I think, whoa.
Ocho
Having, having some, some talks with Reek and whatnot, that if I do just don't think that, that I'm gonna throw at 80 yards. Like, as you're running. Just do your best to track it because you could potentially stop. That's what ended up happening on that play for, for Reek and then with him and waddle with those deeper outbreaking routes. Just trying to help them get open while maneuvering, you know, the corner in the flat.
267
I'm confused.
Ocho
Yeah, I need better context. I would love to see the play he's referring to.
267
Well, I saw Tariq pull up and he called a deep pass. Got kind of overran the play. I saw that. But I'm trying to figure out how you trying to help them get open on deep outbreaking routes.
Ocho
No, you have to throw them open. Just throw to throw to a spot.
267
Yeah.
Ocho
Two is a rhythm and timing quarterback.
267
Yeah, we know you're not making no plays off rhythm.
Ocho
Yeah, I mean, you throw them open and he's great at that. He's one of the best in the NFL at that. Regardless of what people may say when it comes to putting the ball in places, in position before receivers are even out of their break, he is great at placing the ball and, and throwing receivers open. That's what he does extremely well. And he always has.
267
But he, but he, but you know what, Ocho? He has to. Because he doesn't have the strongest arm, so he has to throw with great anticipation. So the ball basically have to be out of his hand before they out of the break. Yeah, but I, I, I, I'm like. So he's like, well, I need to, you know, try to, you know, get them open while also maneuvered in the pocket. But that's, but, but on deep outs, that's rip. That's timing. Ain't nothing you can do.
Ocho
Yeah.
267
You, you hope you call that play. Expecting a certain defense. I, I'm, I don't know. I mean, maybe I might have to watch some of these games so I can get a better, I mean, like, really, really hone in. And that's because I, I don't get what he's saying. Oo I really don't. Yeah, because he's like, I need, I need to get them open while also trying to maneuver.
Ocho
In, in the pocket. He obviously, we know two is not a the dual threat quarterback. Just pocket present. Maneuvering and being able to throw on the run and throw them open is the only thing I could take from that. I, I watched the game today, so that, that's all, that's all he could possibly mean.
267
Yeah. Okay. I'm gonna take your word for it, cuz O I'm, I'm a little confused. After being booed throughout the game, Mike McDaniel was asked if he's worried about his job. I think if I worry about my job security, I won't be doing my job. I won't spend one moment thinking about all the things that whatever people want me to think about. Oo put your, your prognostication hat on. Who goes first? Mike McDaniel? Tyreek?
Ocho
Oh, that's a good question. That is a great question. And I, I, I, I'd be better suited to answer that question if we were further into the season and things were looking like they look right now.
267
Well, that's the whole, whole objective. That's why we don't want you to get farther into the season. That's what, that's why I say put your prognostication hat on. Because we get farther into the season, we don't have to put the hat on.
Ocho
Right? I, I, I would think probably, probably Tyreek. I think Tyreek would, would probably go.
267
Do they have any, anybody with head coaching experience on that, on the, on.
Ocho
The coaching staff that could be what, interim coach?
267
Yes. Because there's a great chance you're gonna start owing three.
Ocho
That, that definitely not happened. I, I told you that already. Already, huh? You got to listen to me when I tell you stuff now, especially about the game of football.
267
Ain't gonna do that.
Ocho
Like I, I know, I know stuff. I know. I know you 267 and all. When I tell you the Dolphins Thursday night, when I take the Dolphins to winning Thursday night against the Bills, you have to listen to me and understand they are not starting the season 0 and 3.
267
They are.
Ocho
We are who they play after Buffalo.
267
Because I got a good, I got a suspicion they gonna Start O&4.
Ocho
Who we got at who, who we got? Who we got after Buffalo?
267
The Jets. Oh, yeah. Y' all going over?
Ocho
Oh, we definitely. But did you see, did you see the jets today and you think we f to lose to them?
267
Yeah, I saw, I saw The I saw Dolphins too.
Ocho
Hey, what I have my dry.
267
Oh, y' all gonna be one. Y' all be one. Y' all will be one in four. Oh, y' all got the Panthers. Week five, where they play the Panthers at. Oh, Carolina got y'. All. The Eagles beat the super bowl. Beat the Chiefs again in the super bowl rematch. The Chiefs are 0 and 2 for the first time since 2014. Patrick Mahomes starts the season 0 and 2 for the first time since his sophomore year in high school. Jalen Hurts is now 3 and 2 against Patrick Mahomes, including the playoffs, 2 and 1 in the regular season. The broadcast caught an exchange between Chris Jones and Jalen Hurts. Jones said, you don't even have a hundred yards, Hurts. We won the effing game. Shut your leap up.
Ocho
Yeah. Hey, it was, it was a sloppy game, though. It was, it was. It was a sloppy game. I expected fireworks. You know, obviously you think about, you think about the Eagles as great as their dog. Their defense, defensive line is the tush push dominated the game today. Saquon was decent. I, I don't like the fact that again, AJ Brown not getting involved into the game the way he should be being a top. When we talk about the top receivers in the NFL. But again, it's the offense that they do run. They are winning. And a lot of people say, listen, numbers don't matter, stats don't matter as long as we are winning games. But one of the things that I don't like on is what teams do when it comes to business. When you command a certain salary, the first going to do is they're going to tell you, well, what we're paying you doesn't match up to the production that you're giving us. You know, we want. We going to need you to take a pay cut. We don't need you to take a pay cut. That, that's why I always complain about them not getting him the ball as much. But again, they are winning that, that, that at the end of the day, that's what it's all about. I just understand the business side of things down the road. What they're going to try to pull outside of that on the cheese side of the ball. Oh, this is the receivers.
267
They got guys. Ocho and no matter what you say, they have guys. Juju is a guy. Hollywood Brown has become a guy. They're guys. Kelsey has been lazy. He's getting lazy with his head and he's getting lazy with his eyes. He knows in that area of the field he has to snap his head. He knows. I don't know what he's looking. I don't know why he's so lazy with his head. There's nobody inside. And what's 32's name? Blankenship. He got your man. Why are you so lazy? Your head. Nice. You got to snap it around. It's like he, he got it. And if. No, bro, you got to snap that. You know that. And you took points off the board. So in other words, you don't get points. And they go down and they get points.
Ocho
Points. Yeah.
267
Oh, yeah, they got. Oh, they got guys. I don't care how great Mahomes is, he's not overcoming that. They got guys that can run it. But we, and I keep telling you, Pacheco's a guy. There, there are 30 guys. You can find 50 guys in the NFL that can do exactly what Isaiah Pacheco can do. Kareem Hunt is past his prime. He's a guy. He got guys. There's nothing special about anybody on that team right now offensively other than Patrick Mahomes. Offensively, they got guys.
Ocho
But, but you heard what you just said. There's nobody on that team that is special outside of the quarterback. And that's the most important position.
267
I'm saying offensive.
Ocho
Chris Jones.
267
But I mean, look, that offensive line did an outstanding job today. Uh, they ran the ball.
Ocho
Yeah.
267
34 rushes, 122 yards. Look, Ocho, I ain't got no problem with the tush push, but if you're gonna let them jump the count, can't nobody stop it. You remember last year, they tried a couple of years ago, they tried to put emphasis on those tackles would jump in the snap count. And they started calling it. If you gonna let the offensive lineman jump the count, then start the guards and tackle start moving before the center stops the ball. But no, nobody's gonna be able to stop it. And you can see it. They jump in the counter. Yeah, but this, I mean, the chief look bad. I mean, there's no way around it. The Chiefs just look bad, ojo, they do. I mean, Patrick Mahomes, you're leading rusher. I mean, he taking. And he's gonna have to be careful lowering that, lowering that shoulder. I know his, his non throwing shoulders. But you're gonna be, you gotta be careful with that and that. But you throw caution to the wind, Ocho, because you get out there and you're a competitor and you, you, you, you know you've lost. You lost the first game, you lost the Second game, and you just want to have some resemblance of something and offensively and try to stay on the field, but he's going to need to be careful. But offensively, they got guys. I mean, Mahomes. And Mahomes had Thornton wide open, and he overshoots him by 15 yards. Now they come back and catch him again, and he makes an outstanding play. But.
Ocho
Yeah, they. They put. They put that safety on. They put that safety in the bind, had him make a choice. Either you stay with the safety and Mahomes did that dig. Safety drove on a dig, throw it over. It was too late. It was too late for Mitchell to get over from the deep third to be. But listen, you have to think about when Tyreek left the Chiefs. They just had guys. Mahomes was still able to get it done. For me, as long as I have 15, I'm not a Chiefs fan, but as long as I have 15, I have a chance. But as long as I have 87, who knows?
267
You have to make sure he's not that same guy that he was when Tyreek first left. You know that. You watched the game. You watching it. I mean, I'm not. I'm not breaking news. And everybody knows I love them, but he's not the same. It's not even close. And you lose. Rasheed Rice, who was. Had started at. If you go back and look that year that he got there, he had started to take over. Like, okay, they got something Worthy has started. Look, and now he's hurt. So now you got. Man, look, Baltimore was willing to trade a Hollywood Brown. The Cardinal was willing to let him go. Come on now, Ocho. Look at juju.
Ocho
Yeah.
267
Pittsburgh says, okay, you can go. He goes to New England. They like. Nah, you good. Go ahead. I think he went to New England first. Then he comes to Kansas City, he goes somewhere else, and he's back at Kansas City. Yeah, they're better off. I mean, if you take those scramble yards out, you got Kareem Hunt got eight carries for 31 yards along of 11. Isaiah Pacheco, 10 carries, 22 yards. 10 carries, 22 yards. Running hard, going nowhere. It's kind of. It's kind of like, man, he basically running in place. Man, I've been. I've been. But you running in place. You ain't went nowhere.
Ocho
Yeah, they gonna be all right. I mean, listen, that's the. That's the one team I. Oh, I will always have a chance, no matter what I have surrounding me. Because what I lack offensively, the quarterback I have can overcome it. This was a bad game today. But as. As the season goes on and they make adjustments. It's the same conversation we had with the Chiefs at the beginning of the season last year. All the goddamn drops. We ain't got nobody to throw to. Kelsey can't get open. He's not the same. Kelsey was, you know, back. Back a few years ago, but again, for some reason, you know where they ended up last year and it got. Damn.
267
Let me ask you a question. Do you think Buffalo is better last year than better this year than they were last year? You like the way Josh Allen is playing right now? Yes or no? Absolutely. What about Baltimore? You think they're better than what they were last year? What about the Charges? Are they better than what they were last year?
Ocho
They are the most motherfucking. They are the most improved. Matter of fact, speaking of the Charges, I'm still in Vegas. I ain't even gone home. So I'm going to the game. I'm going to the game tomorrow.
267
Okay? No, I don't. I do not. I don't been.
Ocho
I got two.
267
I don't been outside. It's time for me to come in.
Ocho
But I got two tickets for us.
267
All right. Take. Take your people.
Ocho
No, it was a surprise for you.
267
I'm good. I gotta. I gotta. I gotta stay here. Prep.
Ocho
But we could prep the. We could prep at the same time and watch the game. We could talk about the game and take notes and what are we gonna talk about when we get do. Nightcap? Yeah.
267
No, I absolutely do not want to go to the game. Well, okay, but cj. CJ said. Man told. He told Jalen hurts. You don't even have a hundred yards. Hertz said we won the effing game. Now shut your.
Ocho
Shut up.
267
And that's the ultimate thing. Scoreboard.
Ocho
Mm. Yeah. At the end of the day, but unk. How long can they play like this? Unknown. How long can you. How long can you play? Going for less.
267
They did it last year. You just told. You just told me about the cat.
Ocho
Oh, yeah.
267
I said.
Ocho
I said it. But I'm just asking you, how long are you going to be able to do that this year? This is a new year when you. When you come against a team that's an off of the juggernaut, that can actually run the ball, that can actually throw the ball, that can actually play a little better defense than what the Chief played today.
267
What happened? Play that bad? I mean, what did they give up?
Ocho
But not that bad.
267
They gave up.
Ocho
They didn't play well enough.
267
Oo think about it. They gave 100. They gave up 122 yards rushing on 34 carries. They gave up 101 passing yards on 22 attempts. So they gave up. They gave up six. 116. They gave up 216 total yards. If you give up 216 total yards, you're supposed to win. If your defense gives uphold an opposing offense to 216 yards. And they have points because they scored off Kelsey Bobble the ball and they got a pick at, at the, in the end zone. Yeah, and kudos to the left tackle Simmons, the number one draft pick. Cause he went and got it.
Ocho
Hey, you saw running back.
267
I did. Absolutely saw it.
Ocho
He was moving. Boy, to be that. Oh, to be that big man.
267
Yes. But they got, they got to get better. They got Ojo. They got a bunch of fast guys, but they don't have anybody that can consistently get down the field and catch the ball. Hollywood, I mean, they got the guy. Those guys are Ocho. The thing is about Hollywood Brown is that wherever he catches it, that's what he gonna tackle him at. He breaking no tackles.
Ocho
Yeah, but you, you gotta think everybody don't have a Jamar Chase. Everybody don't have a Justin Jefferson. Like, that's not. That hasn't been the makeup there of their team offensively since Tyreek left. No, it hasn't.
267
She writes was coming in his own. You could tell he gonna be a player.
Ocho
Oh, yeah, he was that boy.
267
Xavier Worthy saw him get better and better and better. So those were the guys that they were counting on. Look, the Chiefs knew that some kind of punishment was coming to Rasheed Rice. The reports that they wanted to suspend him for the whole year. He wasn't going for that. They settled on six games. So the Chiefs knew something was coming. They didn't expect Xavier. They didn't expect their own guy to run into Xavier Worthy and dislocate his shoulder. They weren't expecting that. Look, Tyquan Thornton. Look, I didn't know anything about him, but he goes to the combine. He runs 4, 2, 7. You're going to get everybody's undivided attention. You run that fast at that height, you're going to get people's attention. And that's what he did.
Ocho
Yeah.
267
Juju is. Look, he can make tough contestants catching Ocho, but he ain't going Ocho. He ain't going nowhere in a hurry. He's never been a speed merchant.
Ocho
Right. But you got to think about it. This all comes down to the officer coordinator. It's all about understanding the players you have and putting the players that you have in positions to make plays based on their strengths. You have a quarterback.
267
Are their strengths. How many shallow calls do you want me to run, Ocho?
Ocho
I mean, hey, listen, that's what they do.
267
That's what that.
Ocho
That. That. That's what you got to do.
267
But guess what, Ocho? And because you don't have nobody, that's great. Run after the catch. So guess what? Wherever they catch the ball, that's where they tackle that. In order to run shallows and all that pig stuff, you need guys that can run out, catch. You be guys that can break tackles, Ocho.
Ocho
But I know one thing. You keep moving the chains. You keep moving the chains. If you don't have some. Oh, wait a minute. Oh, whoa, whoa. Let's think about this. Let's think about the Patriots. Think about the Patriots. They had no speed merchants, but it was shallows, underneath, crosses, middle, middle. That I'm talking about. Not. Not the Moss Patriots. I'm talking about the Edelman, the Gronk.
267
Yes.
Ocho
You know, I mean, crossing, crossing.
267
Edelman is better than. Edelman is better than any receiver that they got right now on the Chiefs.
Ocho
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. I'm not gonna. I'm not comparing. I'm just saying the route. I'm talking about the scheme and the route. Concert.
267
Yes. That was their thing. And then they attack you. But in order to consistently run those, you got to stay on you. You can't get behind the chains. And a lot of times, the Chiefs will fall behind the chains. They'll get stuck at second and 10, they'll get second and 12, they'll get a holding call. So now all of a sudden, they don't care if you run a shallow cross. They just go tackle you and get off the field.
Ocho
Yeah. And you got to have some type of running game. Yes. You got to have some type of running game to keep the defense honest. Some type of running game to keep the defense honest. But the good thing for the Chiefs is they're not playing the Eagles every goddamn week. They not playing the Eagles every goddamn week. So other games are going to look much better than what they did.
267
You got to realize, Ocho, we saw the Chargers do this to him. That's the thing, though. I mean, at some point in time, I can only scheme so much. When you start giving me gizzards and livers and lights. I can only make such a. I can only make a dish. I can only make so much out of it. Ocho, at some point in time, if you want better dishes, you're gonna have to give me better ingredients. And right now, these. This is the ingredients that I have, and I can only do so much with it. Yeah.
Ocho
Yeah. And it's so funny. We. We had these conversations about the Chiefs and their struggles at the beginning of the season. Whether it's the opposite line, whether it's receivers getting open, whether the receivers dropping the ball in. In this case. Now, some of the. Some. Some of their best players that you expect to step up to the plate with the. With the. The absence of Worthy, with the absence of Rasheed Rice, and they're messing up the ones that you think you can count on. And. And, hey, they got to go back to the drawing board.
267
Problem is, they got to go back. The thing is, Ocho, is that when you're struggling offensively, the one thing that you can't do is what? Turn the ball over.
Ocho
Turn the ball over.
267
Yeah. You're about to get points. Because think about Ocho. There was a stretch there early in Mahomes career. You, like, 17 points. He getting that in the first half. You talking about for a game, easy. Oh, he gonna get bored of that. And think about it.
Ocho
Yeah.
267
How late it was when they got that 17. Cause for the longest time, they had 10, and here we are with three minutes left in the game, they got 10 points. So we're not used to seeing them struggle offensively like they're struggling. To make matters worse is that they turn the ball over, and they don't need to turn it over four or five times because you're already struggling. One turnover could possibly doom you when you can only put up 17 points.
Ocho
Yeah. Yeah.
267
The defense. I mean, if it's held that team to, like, hold a. Hell, that team to 20 points after they get. Excuse me. After they gave up what they gave up in the super bowl, they held them to. It was 10, 10 at the half. They gave up three in the third, and both of them scored seven in the fourth. You can't.
Ocho
Dang.
267
Look, they're in a very tough spot because of the absence of Rasheed Rice and Xavier Worthy. But ain't nobody feeling sorry for the Chiefs.
Ocho
Nah, they don't. Don't feel sorry for them because they have problems every year. We talk about their struggles. We talk about their issues on offense, on defense, offensive line, we talk about the receivers, the tight ends, and for some goddamn reason now watch they end up back in goddamn San Francisco come week. Week one in February.
267
I don't feel as confident as I did at Bud beating Canelo. So if you ask me to put some money down, I ain't doing that. And if they do, if they do end up there, bless them. But I ain't putting no money. That means something to me. All right, Ocho, we just mentioned it. The Atlanta Falcons run their record to 5001 and 1 thanks to going on the road and winning 22 to 6. They shook off a very disappointing loss. They switched kickers out. They brought a new kicker in. He was five of five and a pat. So there's a great chance he's going to be special teams player of the week. But might be the guy from Dallas who kicked a 64 yarder to get it into overtime and then the game winning field goal. So he might, you know, I'm sorry, Romo, I thought you might get it, but probably not. Aubrey. Aubrey is probably gonna get it. But the Falcons used Ocho an outstanding running game and they hounded McCarthy. They got after five sacks in the first half, six total for the game. They picked him off twice, forced to fumble once. So anytime you can press hound the quarterback six times, pressured him numerous other times and turn him over three times, you're probably going to win that game. What did you like about what you saw from the Falcons?
Ocho
Listen, what I like from the Falcons, I'm not even going to talk about the running game and what they did offensively. The beginning of the game. I really, really enjoyed Pennx and the chemistry him and Kyle Pitts have gotten going. It was a mismatch. They put Kyle Pitts in different position in different places where the mismatches were. Had him out wide at wide receiver, had him in the slot, had him at the tight end position. But defensively is where they made their hay. Obviously they did what they did on offense with the running game. But obviously it was, it was somewhat, I don't want to say of a snooze fest. But they got in the red zone. But they couldn't score most of the time. They couldn't score most of the time field goals to get you beat. But the fact that they played defense so well and the goddamn Viking couldn't get anything going offensively, let alone get in the red zone. Two score points. They only kick field goals as well. That's why they won. That's why they won the game.
267
Yeah, six points. But Atlanta's defense was outstanding. We haven't seen. Look, Atlanta's been really, really bad, Ocho, over the last five or six years at rushing the quarterback, and they made a concerted effort. They drafted early. They got Walker, they traded back in the first round, got Pierce. They got brought in Leonard Floyd, who was with Raheem when he was at the Rams. So therefore, he's very familiar with Leonard Floyd. And they attacked the quarterback. In order for you to win, your defense has to pressure the quarterback. You cannot leave him back there and let him have all day to pat the football. The Falcons did an outstanding job, and this is what they needed. They needed pass rush for a very, very last long time. I think they say they finished last the last five years they've been last, have the least amount of sacks, and nobody's within 30 of them.
Ocho
So. And I'm going to say the. The one thing I like about the defensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcon, that last name is Ulbrich. They don't have a tky, they don't have a Miles Garrett. But collectively, but collectively as a group, running stunts stamp different things with the, with the. With the defensive line, with the linebackers and adding pressure against you. You're going against a rookie quarterback, even though he's in his second year, this is his first year start, you're throwing stuff at him that's confusing him because that's the one thing you want to do to a young quarterback. You want to put pressure on him, confuse them, force them to process information a little faster than you can, and you get what you saw tonight. Interceptions, fumbles, you get stuff like that. So they play. They play really well. And I'm excited for the falcons, obviously, Penning Jr. Now being the starter. And the future is bright for Atlanta right now.
267
I don't know why they keep the camera on Kirk Cousins. Kirk Cousins. I don't know why they keep showing on Kirk Cousins. He ain't going in. And nothing was wrong with Pennix. I don't know why y'. All. Ain't nobody feeling no sympathy for him. Hell, as he done backed up the Brinks truck and that.
Ocho
Hey, man, hey, speaking of Brink truck, do you know that. Do you know how much Kirk Cousins.
267
Have made in his career?
Ocho
You know how much? I. I don't think people understand. Hey, he. Listen. He's. He's a child of God and God has blessed him because it's up runneth over.
267
Yeah. So ain't nobody feeling so ain't nobody feeling sorry for Cut Cousins, he's standing on the sideline like, man, coach put me in. No, bro, that's over. That ship sale sit there, draw your $30 million and, and be quiet. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. They gave him 100 million guaranteed y. $50 million signing bonus. He got. So he got more money coming. But I. I really, I really, really love what I saw from the Falcons. Their pass rush. If they can keep this going. Bijan Robinson alir running the football.
Ocho
Shadur calling me should do. Who?
267
Hold on.
Ocho
What's up?
267
What?
Ocho
None sitting here on the show. What's good? Yeah, we live right now. What's good? Talk to me.
267
Ask me. You want to come on.
Ocho
Huh? I mean, yeah. I mean, you. Yeah, you only. I mean, they could hear me talking and I said, I said it was you. But they can't hit. They can hear what you're saying. Why you need me?
267
Atlanta's defense and six sacks. Harrison one and a half. Doris one and a half. Pierce Jr. Half a sack. Leonard Ford sack.
Ocho
I. I ain't see. I. I ain't see it. I ain't see it.
267
So Atlanta got after JJ McCarthy comes back down to reality after he played so well the opening week. I think he was. I'm not mistaken. I think he was offensive player of the week in the NFC. Had an outstanding game. Spotted the Chicago Bears 176 and then they scored 21 unanswered points to take a 2717 lead. And the next thing you know, they end up holding on and winning. JJ played really well, but that's just the ups and downs that you're going to have as a rookie quarterback. You shouldn't expect him to be even keel especially really. He's not a rookie. But as Ojo said, it's his first year starting. He's a second year player, but this is his first year starting. But Falcons look good. Vikings back to the drawing board. Falcons run their record to 1 and 1 with a 226 win over the Minnesota Vikings thanks to a great running by. Hold on. Bijan Robinson, 22 carries, a buck 43. Algier had 16 rushes, 76 yards, 39 rushes, 218 yards. Pennix Jr. Was 13 to 21, 135, three sacks. But they win this ball game 22 to 6.
Ocho
Hey, I have a question for you. I'm curious to how you feel about it. Chat. You can, you can, you can chime into it and let me know when we talk about the tier. The tier one running backs in the NFL. Your King Henry's, your Christian McCaffreys. I think Jonathan Taylor would be in that conversation as well. Is it time we put. Yeah. Saquon. Excuse me. I'M sorry, is it time we put Bijan Robinson in that conversation as a tier one running back or is he not there yet? Is he on the fringe of being tier one? I'm just curious, what do you think?
267
Yeah, he got a. You got. He. I mean I need to see another year. I need to see some awards. I need, I think, I think I need to see an all pro or something. Yeah, right. Because all those guys, I mean you look at Ken Henry has basically been doing this since he got into the league. Saquon was offensive rookie of the year. He had another thousand, had an outstanding season. He got injured. Now he went went to the the Eagles offensive player of the year. So Christian McCaffrey's been offensive player of the year. He's been a multiple time Pro Bowl. Royce. 4,000. Received 4,000. I I think Bijan is, is on the cusp. He would be, he would be my next back to if you're looking at Jonathan Taylor, you look at it as you mentioned King Henry, Saquon and.
Ocho
And we can't forget Gibbs and Montgomery.
267
They're coming, they're coming, they're coming.
Ocho
Okay.
267
It all depends because Gibbs and Montgomery don't get the workload that those other guys get. They split a lot of the carries. King Henry gets the lion's share of the carry. Saquon gets the lion's share of the carries. Christian McCaffrey gets the Lion's share of the carries. If you notice, Robinson had 22 rushes but Alger had 16. So they do a great job and you can preserve your backs and they'll be fresher, longer where they don't take the lion share of the carries. But yeah, they're right there. I mean, look, you can put Josh Jacobs in that group there. There are some guys that, that are, that are right there ojo that are right there. Aaron.
Ocho
Aaron Jones. Yeah. Okay.
267
Ravens beat the Browns by the score of 4,117. Ravens linebacker Cal Van Oy told the Raven told the reporters that the Baltimore defense had a team dinner meeting in order to get beyond last week. 4. Fourth quarter collapse. It worked. The Ravens are now 13 and 2 following losses since 2022. It was a 103 half at the half, Miles Garrett said after the game. I mean this ish is embarrassing. We got to be better on defense. We got to be better as a team. They slowly chipped away and we did a solid job holding them to three when we could. But then eventually the dam broke and we just whatever they wanted and we have to continue to play for 60 minutes. Kevin Stefanski said after the game that won't. That he won't consider a QB change. Hey, Miles, enjoy that 160 million because this is what it's going to be like in your future until y' all get. Until you get a quarterback. This is what you're going to be resigned to. Now, I. Look, maybe, you know, getting a million. Couple of two, you know, $2 million a month every game. Check Ocho before taxes. Maybe that. Maybe that lessens it some. This is your fate. This is your fate. This is how. Ocho, let's be real. This is what. This is what's going to happen in.
Ocho
Cleveland unless something miraculously happens. We do know that Joe Flacco can go on the run.
267
Offensively, it's over. Ocho, he can give you four. It's over. You watched him today. It's over.
Ocho
Oh, yeah, today. But unk. You got to understand who they playing against. Now you're playing against a division opponent that knows you.
267
Let me ask you a question.
Ocho
What you like to do.
267
When he was in Cleveland the first time, why didn't they keep him if he was the guy? He went to Indy. Why didn't they keep him if he was the guy? He went to the jets, you know, this direction. Why didn't they keep him if he was the guy?
Ocho
You know why? I'm not. I'm not saying he's the guy. I'm not saying he's the guy, but it's what you had to deal with right now. And they definitely don't want to. They definitely don't want to make a move that early. The quarterback, number two. Because basically what you're telling your team is we waving the white flag and we throwing it all in and we gonna worry about starting our future right now.
267
I ain't got a flag. I got a sheet. I got anything that's white and I'm waving it.
Ocho
It's week two. You can't. You can't wait. You can't wave the towel to maybe week five, week six, and stuff still ain't going well. You said it yourself. What week you said they were going to switch quarter. Switch quarterbacks.
267
Oh, but the Giants eight.
Ocho
Oh, you said the Giants. Well, hell.
267
Oh, Cleveland. Cleveland gonna be much more than that.
Ocho
Week six, week six. Week six. If anything, man, week six.
267
I can just imagine how Cleveland receivers feeling. It's tough to continuously run routes, try to get open, and you like, hey, I give, I give, I give. Give. Cleveland's deep rush defense 21 rushes, 45 yards. But Lamar had 19 or 29 for 225 and photos passing.
Ocho
He did. They did say they were going to stop Derek Henry. Did Grant Dale Pitt did say it's not hard to tackle Derrick Henry. They did a good job on Derrick Henry. Not everybody. Everywhere else through the air.
267
Zay Flowers at 7 for 75. D Hop was 2 for 64, a touchdown. Walker 2 for 26, two touchdowns. Wallace 2 for 25, a touchdown. Oh, man. Roquan Smith had himself a day 15 total. 15 total tackles and a fumble return for a touchdown. They got up to the quarterback. They got up the flag. Look, Flacco is a statue.
Ocho
You can't move, huh?
267
He never could.
Ocho
That ain't never been his forte.
267
About you. I was special teams. I was. That's how I made the team. That's why I started. I cut my teeth on special teams. But 267 didn't go in as a special teams player. You would have checked my resume. Stop playing with me. Talk to him, huh?
Ocho
Let him know.
267
267. There been 30,000 men that played this game, Coach this game, own team, been a general manager. 30,000.
Ocho
Come on now.
267
I don't know what. I don't know. I don't know what. No, I don't know what 267. What percent of 30,000 is, but they're less than 400 men that got a gold jacket.
Ocho
Yeah.
267
Of 30,000.
Ocho
I can tell you what. I can tell you what that percentage is. You know, I was a math major. 2.2%. 2.2.
267
Look, yeah, I just. It's just El Oo is tough. And I just, I feel bad for the Browns fans because the one thing I know, having played in Cleveland, no matter how bad they sucked, those fans still so came and sold out. Now, a lot of times they might have had bags on the head and they might have booed when things weren't going well, but they out there tailgating knowing that they team gonna get the brakes beat off them. But they show up. They look, man, every time, if any, like, you know, like certain fan bases. Ocho, just one time.
Ocho
Yeah.
267
If Cleveland get an opportunity to say, man, we went to the Super Bowl, I know everybody wants to win, but for those, some of those fans to get an opportunity to see that, man, like I said, Browns got some loyal ass fans. And I played them when I was in Denver and I went when they was at. When they were old Cleveland and I played them at Baltimore. Obviously they love the Browns, man. They love The Browns. But ain't got no quarterback. Ain't got no quarterback. I don't care. I don't care how good your defense is. Not in today's game. Yeah, I know. Everybody say what y' all did. Yeah. With the Ravens in 2000, it's 20, 25. Yeah. That's damn near quarter century ago. Nobody's playing football like they played a quarter century ago.
Ocho
No, absolutely not. The rule.
267
The rules don't permit it. And guess what? You're paying a quarterback, all that money, you're not going to pay him to turn around and hand the ball off. It's. Look, they're going to have to find a quarterback. They thought they had a quarterback with j. With desean for whatever reason, it didn't work out. He's been injured. He. Shoulder injury, got an Achilles injury. And it seems like he's working his way back. I don't know if he's going to come back this year. We'll see. But Ocho, without a quarterback, Ocho, they're not going to do nothing.
Ocho
You don't have a chance.
267
I don't care.
Ocho
And this ain't this.
267
You need 10 miles, Gary.
Ocho
Yeah. It ain't even. It ain't even about the Browns. Huh? That goes for anything for sure. Until you figure out your quarterback position, you're not going to have any type of success. Now, you can have flashes of brilliance. You could have success maybe for a game, maybe two. But it's all about being consistent week in and week out and having a chance at winning each week. Right now, they just. They just don't have that. They don't have it. But they're gonna. They're gonna have. They're gonna have games where they go out there and win. They're gonna have games really. They go out and flack, I'm gonna throw for 303 TD. You. We're gonna have games like that at some point this season. I guarantee you that. That's just. That. That's just the way that. That's just the way the Florida game works, just in general.
267
Well, they must be gonna have one of them games on playing on a Tuesday or Friday. And we don't. We don't. We don't have nightcap on those days. Kevin Stefanski said after the game that he won't consider quarterback change for week three. Before the game, Adam Shefter dropped a bomb. The Ravens were planning to draft Shador Sanders in the fifth round with the 141st pick. But before the Ravens could turn the card In Shador let it be known to Baltimore that he didn't want to. He didn't want to be on a roster with Lamar where he wouldn't have a chance to play anytime soon. She door did not want to be drafted by Baltimore and preferred to end up in a place where he might have a better chance to play sooner. The Ravens instead drafted an offensive lineman, Carson Vincent, with the 141st pick. I'm just glad Shador was asked about it after the game. My response is I'm focused on the now. I don't really talk about anything in the past and whatever happened in the past, it is what it is. I'm more focused on the now. I'm more focused on how the game that we just gonna had and figuring out how to move forward from now. You wouldn't even believe my memory. Don't even go back that far. So yeah, I don't even remember anything post draft. I remember I'm here. I go to practice every day and it's a 24 hour rule. It serves no purpose in my life.
Ocho
Yeah, hey, we don't even have that kind of power coming into a draft though. As, as a player. You saying where you don't want to go, you don't have that kind of power.
267
Well, I.
Ocho
You don't.
267
Let me tell you something about the Ravens. I don't know Shador's situation. The Ravens. I can only speak to to what I know. I know Ozzy, I know Dacosta and I know the owner, Steve Bashadi.
Ocho
Yes, sir.
267
When Tio was supposed to go to the Ravens and he said he didn't.
Ocho
Want to go, he said he named.
267
They obliged him. Yeah, they said, you know what, don't worry about it. Boom, boom, boom. The NFL and them, they worked out some type of agreement. Tio ended up in Philly. If he said this, they would have obliged him.
Ocho
Yeah, but I doubt it though. I doubt it.
267
You know what? I would, I would like to say more, but unfortunately I think we should move on from this.
Ocho
Yeah, it serves.
267
No, I'll leave it at that.
Ocho
It served no purpose.
267
I'll leave it at that. The earlier game the Bucks beat the Texans 2019 for the second straight week. Baker Mayfield engineered a fourth quarter drive to win the game. Trailing by five points with barely more than two minutes left to play. Baker led a Bucks on 11 play 80 yard drive last week. Baker engineered a late road win with a touchdown pass to a Mecca to beat the Falcons. Ocho. Tampa.
Ocho
Hey, Tampa. Looking good, huh? Tampa. Tampa. Looking Tampa looking real good. They look very good. Listen, you know who else we had on the show?
267
Oh, Levante David.
Ocho
And look what happened.
267
He dropped that interception, though. He know he's supposed to get to the house, the dude. I mean, CJ hit it dead in his. Dead in his hands.
Ocho
He played. He's on defense for a reason. It still ain't for him being able to catch.
267
But you know what I like about the. The Bugs, Ocho, they can run the football. Hey, that guy, right?
Ocho
I seen Bucky, he broke off to the right side. I seen him hit that Peter War dead leg on somebody. I'm like, wait a minute. Okay, Saucy like that.
267
Baker, 25 of 38, 215, two touchdowns, they pressured him for. But on fourth down, Ocho, they had him dead to right. And he got up out of there, picked up a big first down. You can't run by him to a lower. I think that's a, to a Lolo Toto. He's from the University of Alabama. The linebacker, he runs by him, got him dead to right, got. They got the perfect play call. They got the perfect blitz call. They crashed him and he ran by him. Baker jumps out, jumps out the window.
Ocho
And when you think about quarterbacks that are dual threats, you don't really view Baker as a Josh Allen or view him as a, as a Lamar Jackson. But he can hurt you if you're not disciplined, if you don't come into control, if you don't come to balance when you have him dead to right, like you said, and you just aggressively just try to make the tackle, you do exactly that. Come right out the back door.
267
He, he had 33 yards rushing. Bucky Irving had 17 for 71. Rashad White has 10 for 65. Baker had three for 33, 30 rush attempts, 169 yards, 25 of 38, 215, two touchdowns. He did get sacked four times, but they, they took care of the ball and they got pressure on CJ Stroud. CJ's got to make some of those throws that he, that he missed. Oo. He got to make some of those. You got to make some of those. It is what it is. You got to make them. You got to get the O. You can't keep kicking.
Ocho
That'll get you beat every time. You got to score touchdowns. You got to score touchdowns. You got, you got, you do. And what did Mike, what did Mike Evans finish with?
267
Mike Evans had five catches, 56 yards on 11 targets. Look, you know, has Stingley chasing, had Him, Stingley, follow him around the whole day.
Ocho
That was, that was nice. Stingley did a really good job. Stingley did a really good job tonight, obviously showing why he's one of the top corners in the NFL and he traveled with Mike Evans the entirety of the game. The entirety. I had, I had to leave in, I think maybe, maybe, maybe the end of the third just to get over to the rating game so I didn't have to fight no traffic. So I missed it back in the back end of the game to get to the ra.
267
No, I mean, look, that's what, that's what, that's what you pay Sting the big bucks, that he's one of the better corners. And you says, okay, look, we're going to play, we're going to take you, take him and then we'll play coverage everywhere else. It gives you an opportunity to free up some things. That's what you, when you have one of those guys, it allows you to be really exotic defensively because you feel you got a guy that can shut down their best receiver.
Ocho
Much more defensively. When you have a. Like that, yes, you can focus. A defensive coordinator can focus elsewhere and do other things and expand the playbook defense. Because you know what, I ain't got to worry about this side. So I could do other things with everybody else to confuse the quarterbacks.
267
Yeah. And, and, and all the great ones been able to do that. When you know, Rod Whistle, that is, they pick the Steelers in prime and the Nias and Darrell Green and Charles Woodson Revis. When you got those top guys, you can get really exotic defensively because you know they're going to be able to more time than not. Look, those great receivers, they go, they get paid too now. They're going to win some. But more times than not, you feel your guy is going to be able to hold his own. And so we, now we can take somebody, you know, we can double, you know, take somebody else away. We can bring an extra guy because we feel we got a guy that can hold up where you really want to go with the football. But I thought Tampa looked good. Look, we think it's, you know, Tampa is the class of the NFC south with a little, with a little, maybe a little scare from Atlanta. But we don't think the Saints and Carolina is going to put up much resistance. So we look at it as a two horse race between the Falcons and Tampa Bay. I don't think we're going to, you know, there's a whole lot of like, nah, man, don't hey, it's only two weeks into the season. I noticed. I ain't heard nobody in Carolina say, oh, it's only two weeks in the season. I ain't heard nobody from New Orleans. It's only two weeks in the season. You know, you know what it is. It is what it is. But Baker. Baker's been playing. Look, Baker has a home. He has people that believe in him. He has an organization that wants him. They let him lead in the way he knows how to lead. They let him be him. The problem sometimes with organizations, Ocho. Well, this is the way Tom did it. He's not Tom. Well, this is the way such and such did it. Well, he's not that. You have to let a person be who he is. That's the one thing I can honestly say about the Ravens. You have your own identity. Just play like a Raven. Whatever you do, if you want to be quiet, be quiet. You want to be boisterous, be boisterous. You want to have. You want to joke and tell. Be whomever. They don't try to make you confined to anything. All they ask you is to play hard. That's it. And that's it. And I think the thing is, look, and he was not going to the Rams, what you call him, they won the Super Bowl. They were not gonna place Matthew Stafford with Baker Mayfield. So let's just say that the Cleveland and the Carolina situation didn't work out. He got hurt. He tried to play through it. It didn't work out. They, you know, you keep. You hear stories. They wanted a grownup in the room. Okay, whatever the case may be, Carolina. Ain't nobody winning with Carolina until you get more talent around them. And so he went somewhere. They had talent. They had Mike Evans. They got Chris Godwin. They did a great job. Light. Jason Light has done a great job of drafting Bucky Irving, did a great job of White. He did a great job of drafting some of those guys. And so now you see the fruits of it is like, okay, they still got a good team. There was a little drop off. Obviously, you don't have the super bowl expectation that they do, but from the outside, you don't have the same expectations that you have with Tom Brady. Tom Brady automatically come with super bowl expectations that he's Tom Brady. But Tampa, hey, Tampa gonna be the Tampa, hey, Tampa gonna have something to say about it now. Cause defensively, they can get after you. They can get after. They do a great job. Todd Bowles do a great job of dialing up different schemes he can pressure you when he needs to. Vita Veil do a great job of stopping the run, but they can pressure your quarterback. So it's going to be very interesting to see how this thing shapes up. Let's see when we get by the week eight, week ten. Oh, John. We're going to start seeing some things like, okay, because I think Green Bay is going to be a major player here. I think Green Bay is going to be a major player when it's all said and done. I. I don't think the Eagles. Look, the Eagles got to get their passing game going. We, we, we, we. Hey, it's going to happen, Ocho. It's taking some time.
Ocho
The funny thing about it is it's taking some time, but they haven't played an offense just yet that's a juggernaut.
267
They could put them under the gun.
Ocho
Under the gun and force them into doing something else outside of what they already do.
267
Yeah, yeah, I agree with you.
Ocho
You.
267
Somebody's gonna have to put some points on the board, and they don't have no choice but to throw it. Now you gotta find a way to try to get the Brown to A.J. excuse me? Get the ball to A.J. you're gonna have to find a way to get the ball to Devonte. You're gonna have to find a way to get the ball to Dawson. And right now, nobody's made them do that. They. They throw the ball on their terms, and then they get it in short, you know, second, second and short or third and short or fourth and short, and then you get to the tush push. But if you're going to let them jump the count because the guards are moving, people are moving before the city.
Ocho
Motion to that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
267
I mean, I've seen it in real time. And it's the same thing with the offensive tackles. You remember there was a push. They. Hey, we want you to guys. Because guys were jumping. I mean, how many times did they call the Kansas City right tackle, Juwan? How many times did they call him bro? He was jumping down there. Every time they crack down on it, they're going to have to crack down. Because if you let the guards move and can root people out before the center snaps the ball, well, you've created an even bigger advantage. It used to be you couldn't aid the runner, you couldn't push him, but they say now you can. And they're going to jump the snap count and you're going to let them aid the runner. I don't know how you stop.
Ocho
That's so funny. I'm not sure if the rescue didn't even see it in, in, in. In real.
267
In real time.
Ocho
See it in real time because the timing of it, when you slow it down, obviously, yes, we can see it at home when you, when you play it back in slow motion, but in real time.
267
Right.
Ocho
I don't think the refs can tell.
267
The Charges beat the Vegas Raiders 29. Justin Herbert was 19 of 27, 242 yards, two touchdowns, no turnovers. Unless they gave that last fumble that they fumbled, but I don't think. Oh, they give it. They did give it to him. They gave him two. He lost one. But they did a great job. Geno Smith was Texas toast tonight. Who. He was terrible. Geno was bad tonight, but they did a great job of pressure to Mocho. They didn't let him set his feet. And, and when he, when he had time, Ocho, he overshot some guys. He missed some throws that I'm sure that he's going to look at film tomorrow and wish he had back. But that's the game of football that we play. Quentin Johnson gave 3 for 71 on the touchdown. Keenan Allen was 5 of 61 for a touchdown. And Lad McConkey was doing what he normally does is move the chains. And so the charges look really good. Now, there was a big blow. It looked like a bicep injury to Khalil Mack. He left early. He had it in a sling, Ocho, but if you notice, his bicep was wrapped. So that's what makes me think it's a bicep injury. But I'm not sure. I don't know if they reported because obviously chat. You guys know, I don't listen to the sound. So if somebody want to jump in the chat and said what it is, what they reported, I don't know if they reported. They probably said he left the game and was not going to return, but it makes me think that it's a bicep injury because it wasn't a sling and he had his bicep wrap. But Ocho, you're watching this game and you look at the Chargers, the way they're. They're throwing the football and the way they can get out the opposing team's quarterback. What, what are you liking about what you're seeing about the chart?
Ocho
The Chargers, obviously, offensively, they do what they do. Offensively, Justin Herbert looked like Justin Herbert especially picking up where he left off from week one. But the Charger defense, huh? The Charger defense was all over the Place. Geno Smith, time to be able to sit in the pocket. Defensively, they played very well on the back end. They look really, really good as well. I'm excited. I'm excited for the AFC west to see what the charges do. Not now, early in the season, we only. In week two. I want to see if they can do this in. In December when it really counts. They can do this in January when it really counts. Where it matters most, all the moments that they're having right now. Justin Herbert playing really well. I'm glad to see the resurgence of Quentin Johnson. I'm glad to see young Bull finally playing well, playing with confidence, making plays. He looks awesome. So being able to see them in person tonight was awesome. Geno Smith again, having a life, really not having the time in the pocket to be able to throw the ball. And week one, they look really good. They look phenomenal. He threw the ball all over the place tonight. Not so well.
267
Yeah, I mean, 24, they can't. Well, neither team really could run the football. Ocho. That's the only thing that I like. Okay. At some point in time, charges, you're gonna have to run the football to alleviate some pressure on Justin Herbert. You just can't just let them tee off. But because the Raiders really couldn't run the football. They just teed off. They were just teeing off on, on, on. On Gino. But Gino made some poor throws. I mean, that one he threw down the middle lake. Come on, Ocho. You see, you see what's. Three names I can't figure. You see him running. He running with him. Why would you throw that? Why. Why would you throw that? He. I mean, he put. He threw. That was twice. He threw one of the double coverage earlier and he got. And he got picked up, but he didn't play well tonight. I'm not break. Chad. I'm not breaking any news to you guys. You know, you watch the game. You know, Gino did not play well tonight. He played really well. As Ocha said. He played really well opening week on the road in Foxborough against the Patriots. 362 yards. But tonight. Oh, he was some sloth. He was some slow tonight.
Ocho
Very difficult, too. When you have a week one performance like that, it's hard to string them back to back to back to back together like that.
267
Oh, I wanted it.
Ocho
It's really hard to string them back together like that back to back. Especially when you play a great defense like the Chargers. That. That guy.
267
Yeah, Henley, he gonna want to come back because he Told us. Look at. He had 12. He had 10 tackles, seven solo, a sack and two tackles. Hey, hand, if you want to dial in, you want to talk right quick, you know the line open for you anytime, bro. Tremendous game tonight.
Ocho
He was all over the place. Don't. He was.
267
He was. He was hunting Aston Gender is finding out what it's like in the NFL ball game.
Ocho
All those runs, all those runs that's supposed to be between the A and the B gap and trying to bounce them out and think you're gonna outrun people.
267
That's not happening. You better hit that now.
Ocho
Do everything you can and hope and hope you get to the second level.
267
Take that to take that two or three game or it's going to turn into a one or two loss because you bounce that.
Ocho
Listen, everybody is just as fast, if not faster, if not stronger.
267
Think about it. Nightcap effect. We had Henley on, look what he did. We had Bud on, look what he did. Melissa Jefferson, she was on, look what she did. Now I don't. Hey, I'm just saying. Not just three now, if you want, if you want something to be.
Ocho
Come on.
267
Hey, we had a Ryan Coogler on.
Ocho
Look at what, look at the numbers.
267
I'm just saying.
Ocho
Hey, it's not a coincidence. It's common sense. No, it ain't a coincidence. It's common sense. That's all. That's all.
267
Too many occurrences is not a coincidence. Y' all see what it is. Y' all see exactly what it is. But I, I like. Like I said, I like. I like what I'm seeing from the charges. Justin Herbert. Look, the one thing we know about Jim Harbaugh, you can say what you want to say about him. He can coach his ass off and it gets progressively better and then normally there's a little tapering off. You go back and look at what he did at Stanford. Bill, Bill, Bill. Boom. He goes to San Francisco. Bill, Bill, Bill. And then, you know, loses quarterback and things start to happen. You know, they fire him. And they had a budding the front office in gym. Whatever the case may be, he can coach. Every team that he's ever coached has gotten better once he's arrived. You go back and look at San Diego. You look at Stanford, you look at. You look at the 49ers, you look at Michigan, they hadn't won a championship. I don't know, maybe since 48. Gerald Ford might have been. Excuse me, President Ford might have been on the roster by the time. I mean, as great as we think of Coach Jim Beckler, he didn't win a national championship. Oh, let me take that back. They won in 97. The 97 team with Brian Greasy, they did win. So. But we think of Michigan, we think about, man, they get this loaded with those champions. No, it had been over 20 years since they had won a championship. And. And Jim. And, you know, people was calling for his head. Old khaki pants wasn't getting it done. Ocho started off a ball, and then he was just losing and losing, but he stayed afloat by kicking Ohio State's ass. So, you know, you can buy yourself some time if you beat your rival, your biggest rival. It's kind of like Auburn and Alabama. You one beats the other. It'll buy you a little time.
Ocho
Absolutely.
267
But Harbaugh can coach, and he has a quarterback that can make every throw on the field. But eventually, they're going to have to watch the football. I do not believe that you can just become reliant on the passing game.
Ocho
That would be the one to knock. Even the one knock. Even if they won the game tonight, they have to be able to establish run at some point to make things easier and take the pressure off of Justin Herbert so he doesn't have to ball.
267
Yeah.
Ocho
Keep the defense and whoever they're playing, you got to be able to keep them honest. No fumble, too. No fumble. Was that Omarion Hampton fumble tonight? Yeah.
267
Yes.
Ocho
You got to hold on.
267
And then they. On fourth down. I don't even know if they called that a fumble, Ocho, or fourth down, because it was going to. You know, you don't get us a change of possession anyway, because it was fourth down and he tried to do like a. Like a jet sweep, and, you know, 12 took his eye off the ball, and then the ball's on the ground. Something like that. But if you look at them defensively, had 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. They had six tackle for losses, three sacks. They did a great job getting after Gino. They did a great job of collapsing the pocket, corralling Austin Genty, the Chargers. Yeah. I don't think I'm going out on a limb. I think the charges are for real. I think they're one of the three or four best teams in the AFC right now. It's going to be very, very interesting how this thing. I know it's early Ocho. It's only two weeks into the first the NFL season, but they look good. They look really, really good. And that quarterback, he's. He. He's what they'd advertise And I understand that he's going to need to do it in the playoffs in the big moments, because we saw him in last year against the. The Texans and he was horrible. And we saw him have a 24, 27 nothing lead against Jacksonville and they got Walt. So he has those two horrible Ls on his resume. But he's gonna, he's gonna be in some big games with that coach, with that team. They're gonna be in some big games and it's gonna be up to him to. To. To carry his part. And I think he's more than capable of doing that. But I really love what I'm seeing from this defense. It's gonna be interesting to see how this thing with Cleo Mack. You know, some people say. Do we have an idea what they say?
Ocho
Something wrong with his elbow. When.
267
Elbow dislocated Elbow Stadium.
Ocho
Obviously it goes up on the jumbotron players out and it tells you a description on what it. What it was. They said elbow, so I'm not sure.
267
Okay. Yeah, yeah. Sublike Dislocated. I know the feeling. Yeah. I've dislocated my elbow. I dislocated my right elbow. It hurt like, almost.
Ocho
How long is that out?
267
I missed five weeks. Well, no, let me take that back. I missed. I heard it in the sec, beginning of the second quarter, so I missed that game in four weeks, so a month.
Ocho
Okay.
267
Played with a brace for the rest of the year. That's how mine look. Yep. I, you know, tried to brace myself.
Ocho
On the ground and somebody came from behind.
267
No, the ground and, you know.
Ocho
Oh, okay.
267
I got it pinned. I could.
Ocho
Yeah.
267
I couldn't get it out. It hurt, boy. It hurt like a mofo. But I think they'll be. I think, you know, the charges will be okay, but it's not something that season ending. He'll be back. He'll have to play with a brace. He, you know, J.J. watt played with a brace his whole career. He dislocated.
Ocho
He.
267
Yeah, he dislocated his. And played with a brace on for the rest of his career. I couldn't. I mean, it's hard to catch when you, when you, when you catch the ball. Oo. It's kind of hard to play with that thing. I mean, I had to play because they didn't. I played with it for the rest of the year and they didn't want anything to happen. But I know once that season was over and I got into an offseason, I wasn't coming back with that thing. On. I know a lot of defensive linemen and some offensive linemen. Once they do it because they doing a lot of this, you can only bend your arm so much.
Ocho
Remember Gronk played with one too.
267

Host: Shannon Sharpe (briefly referred to, but this episode is primarily Ocho and "267")
Theme: In-depth, animated NFL Week 2 breakdown focusing on the Miami Dolphins' struggles, Chiefs' early woes, Eagles' defensive dominance, stellar rookie performances, and more.
This episode delivers a fiery, no-holds-barred NFL Week 2 recap, spotlighting the spiraling Miami Dolphins, the Kansas City Chiefs’ rare 0-2 start, and impressive defensive turns from teams like the Falcons. Ocho and 267 deliver sharp, playful banter—with Miami and Kansas City as major topics—while also delving into the state of elite running backs, rookie quarterback ups and downs, and surprise standouts across the league.
Timestamps: 02:43 – 13:20
Miami’s 0-2 Start and Looking Ahead:
267 launches into a roast of Miami:
“The Dolphins are 0 and 2 after 3,327 loss to the Patriots…now face, on a short week, the Buffalo Bills.” (02:43)
Confidence Vs. Reality:
Ocho maintains hope for the Dolphins, but 267 is ruthless:
“It’s over for the good. Okay? The Miami Guppies, that’s what y’all are officially, y’all are the guppies.” (05:02)
Ocho: “Keep the same energy Thursday, please.” (08:16)
Tua Tagovailoa Analysis:
A soundbite of Tua discussing his struggle syncing with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle leads to critique:

267 prods Ocho for a prediction if Tyreek Hill or Mike McDaniel would be out first, given the team’s poor showing (11:47 – 12:07).
“We gonna make a believer out of you. We gonna make a believer. Everybody in the chat.” – Ocho (06:21)
Timestamps: 13:20 – 29:09
Chiefs’ Offense Under Scrutiny:
The Chiefs’ 0-2 start and Patrick Mahomes’ rare struggles grab attention:

Jalen Hurts vs. Mahomes Exchange:
A testy on-field exchange is recounted:
“Chris Jones said, you don’t even have a hundred yards, Hurts. [Hurts:] We won the effing game. Shut your leap up.” (13:56)
Chiefs' Wide Receiver Issues:
Repeated emphasis on Kansas City having “guys” rather than playmakers:
267: “Offensively, they got guys. Mahomes. And Mahomes had Thornton wide open, and he overshoots him by 15 yards…” (16:41–17:56)
Defensive Props, But No Pity:
267 credits the defense but notes the Chiefs are simply out of sync, especially on offense.

Props for a bounceback after a team dinner.

Power of Players to Dictate Draft Destiny:
Ocho: “We don’t even have that kind of power coming into a draft…”
267 recounts how TO did similar with the Ravens (47:00–47:43).
Timestamps: 47:59 – End
Baker Mayfield’s Resurgence:
Consecutive late-game heroics and a sharp Tampa defense:
“Baker, 25 of 38, 215, two touchdowns…on 4th down, they had him dead to rights and he got up out of there.” – 267 (49:20)
Defensive Standouts:
Stingley’s shutdown job on Mike Evans. Ocho: “Stingley did a really good job tonight…he traveled with Mike Evans the entirety of the game.” (51:10)

From calling the Dolphins “the Guppies” to discussing Chiefs’ “guys,” the hosts keep humor and trash talk flowing yet grounded in expertise.

267: “If you want better dishes, you’re gonna have to give me better ingredients. And right now, this is the ingredients that I have, and I can only do so much with it.” (26:25)
Defensive Philosophy:
Discussion of how true shutdown corners (Stingley, Woodson, Revis) allow defenses to get “exotic,” freeing up schemes.

High-level analysis, unsparing critiques, and plenty of back-and-forth make for a classic Club Shay Shay football round-up.
