Hello, it's your favorite sports thunk here. Don't forget to hit that subscribe button to join the fastest growing community on YouTube. Remember, Nightcap doesn't happen without you, so please subscribe or you're going to make OO cry. But let's get to the game of the day. The Broncos beat the Dallas Cowboys by the score of 44 to 24. Cowboys defense reverted back to their old form, giving up his longest run of the year, a 40 yard touchdown run by number one overall draft pick, BJ Harvey, first round draft pick, not number one first round draft pick. And Bo Nicks. Four tubs. Dak Prescott threw two interceptions. The number one offense was held in check. The Cowboys have lost eight straight to the Denver Broncos, tying the longest streak to a single opponent in franchise history. I tried to tell Och. I said, ocho, man, y' all ain't beat us since 95. We gonna beat. They gonna beat y'. All.
Ocho
Whoa. Who was us? Who was us? I'm. I'm not. Listen, I'm not. I'm not a part of the Cowboys. I just. I just felt with them being the number one offense. George Pickett doing what he doing. CD Lamb is back. You know, Williams running the way he's running the ball. I felt they had a good chance to win the game today. Now, obviously, I was wrong. That's the good thing about sports. Sometimes you're wrong, sometimes you're right. In this case, which I. Which is very seldom for me is. Is I was wrong. And listen, I apologize, you know, for those Broncos fans that in the chat. Congratulations, y' all won today.
Joe
You said. You said they. But what's the. Like, how many times have they played a defense like the Broncos where they got them guys on the edge, especially Sir Tan. Yeah, think about it. We beat y'. All. We beat them with Sir Tan went out.
Ocho
Yeah.
Joe
Dre Greenlaw didn't even play.
Ocho
Yeah, he heard his show. Yeah, he sure did.
Joe
Can you imagine? Cause, you know, when he was in there, they was getting Nathan, they wouldn't get anything.
Ocho
Y'.
Joe
All.
Ocho
Y' all played a good game. Bo Nicks. Bo Nicks balled out. Well, hey, Cortland Sutton had some. Some really, really key catches. Some really key catches. And it got to a point where the game just got out of reach. It got out of reach. That did.
Joe
It was out of reach when y' all walked into the stadium. That's what it was. Out of reach. Listen, how many times did y' all stop us from. Hold on. Let me go look at this thing. I want to see. How many times did y' all actually stop us?
Ocho
Matter of fact, Broncos, okay, they.
Joe
They threw an interception. So y' all stopping them on the first run, and. And then it went. Touchdown, touchdown, punt. Touchdown, touchdown. End of half, field goal. Touchdown, touchdown, punt. End of game.
Stephen Curry (Narrator)
Damn.
Joe
If the Bron Broncos turned it over the first possession, and then with touchdown touch. I be damn.
Ocho
Hey, that. Hey, hold on. Let me.
Joe
Threw him like Sherman went through Atlanta, scorched earth.
Ocho
Hey, y' all play good, though, huh? I'm not even gonna lie, man. It's hard. It's hard for me to argue.
Joe
We are good. You talk about we play good. We got a good team. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ocho
Y' all got a good. Y' all got a good defense. Y' all got a good defense. And the offense, it goes as B. Knicks goes. If Bonick. Well, offensively, y' all gonna be all right. And B. Knicks had him a day today. B. Knicks had him a day today. And the defense obviously showed up. Pat went out. I think he heard, probably. Probably looked like maybe a pinch nerve or something. Other than that, I think he gonna be all right. But. But them boys on the edge, boy.
Joe
Oh, yeah. Cooper and Bonito Allen.
Ocho
Hey, man, listen. Hey, bottom jokers. Nice, bro.
Joe
Oh, yeah. We go, hey, we get after you now. Bo Nicks was 19 to 29, 247, four touchdowns, one interception. J.K. dobbins had 15 rushes, 111 yards. RJ had. I said BJ. RJ Harvey had 7 for 46. He had two touchdowns. And then Franklin, 6 for 89, two touchdowns. Courtland Sutton, 4 for 67. Pat Bryant 2 for 41, touchdown. RJ Harvey had a 1. Had a 1 catch for 5 yards on a touchdown. Well, they got. Hey, let me see what Dak numbers was. Because you know what we do is that if you got. If you got hopes of winning MVP or winning some type of war, you come to my high, you gonna leave without it. 1931, 188, two interceptions. Remember the last three. That last three games, he had thrown three touch, three touchdowns and no interceptions. Got. We got tired of hearing that. Tired of hearing it.
Ocho
Y' all can talk. Y' all won the game. Obviously, we understand how good different defense is.
Joe
Did you understand that? Because why would you pick him? Clearly you didn't understand that.
Ocho
Hold on. Why did I pick the Cowboys to win?
Joe
Yes.
Ocho
Because the offense has been on fire the past three weeks straight.
Joe
They ain't playing nobody. Hold on.
Ocho
So you saying the Broncos are somebody. Is the Broncos a team that.
Joe
That.
Ocho
That.
Joe
That.
Ocho
That teams are supposed to fear? Are you saying that their defense is like the 2,000 ravens? No. Absolutely.
Joe
No, it's not. No. They went to Philly, was down 18 to three and win the ball game. Remember last week.
Ocho
Hold on.
Joe
33 points in the fourth quarter.
Ocho
And what's the key words that I just Said, as Bo Nicks goes, that is how the Broncos will go now. Huh?
Joe
That's normally how the teams go.
Ocho
Okay.
Joe
The quarterback. Okay, what about your qu. How your team. We ain't talking about your team just yet. Dak Press got through two interceptions. The number one offense. Hold on. Let me see how many yards. The number one offense that you. You've been hyping about. Oh, they've been playing good. Let me see what the numbers are.
Ocho
I'm trying to. I'm. That's what I was looking for. I was sitting there trying to find the goddamn stats.
Joe
You wouldn't try to find those things. You ain't looking hard enough. Cause they up there.
Ocho
Nah.
Joe
Cowboys 188. They didn't have two, 300 yards of offense averaging four something. But how many points they got? And they got a little cheap touchdown at the end.
Ocho
Yeah, but this is what you have to understand. This we have to understand. Listen, even a squirrel get enough every blue moon, every so often. They're the number one offense for a reason sometimes. Listen, this was a trap game. This is the trap game.
Joe
Us.
Ocho
You know what? We going. You know what? We gonna let. We gonna let the Broncos have this one to build their confidence up a little bit, make them feel like they're really doing something. And the next week, what's gonna happen? It's gonna be right back to the old. Oh, man. Well, this is what happened, and this is why we didn't win.
Joe
We don't do that. We don't do that. We don't play. What we do. What we don't do is play down the competition. The standard is the standard. We're the Denver Broncos, three time super bowl champs. That's who and what we are.
Ocho
Oh, okay. So the standard is the standard, right?
Joe
Yeah, it is the standard.
Ocho
Okay. Okay. Just a whole matter of fact, let me write that down. The standard is a standard. I want to make sure. I want to make sure. When we come back next Sunday, I want to make sure the standard is still the standard. After that game.
Joe
It will be.
Ocho
My man. My kids. And took my pen and paper, man. God. Don't.
Joe
Don't worry about it. And I can't believe you. You asked me, Ocho. Now this chat. When was the last time y' all know Ocho to go on Sunday without tweeting?
Ocho
I ain't tweeting today.
Joe
Oh.
Ocho
Cause my Internet wasn't working.
Joe
But it wasn't. Yeah, Ocho, not tweeting is like cornflake without the milk. You know what? I'm saying something. Just go together Sunday, Ocho tweet.
Ocho
But this is, this is, this is, this is the point. You have to understand. I said it, I tweeted it out. Obviously I was using my neighbor's WI fi. I'm using my neighbor's WI fi right now. That's why I was able to come on Nightcap. I tweeted you back and said I wasn't gonna be able to come on the show tonight because my WI fi was down. The fiber optic system that they use all the wired over here, somebody cut grass, they cut a line. So when they cut the line, like boom, it messed up.
Joe
How you cut grass? How you hide the line on top of the ground?
Ocho
No, they went underneath. They went underneath.
Joe
I don't know grass underneath. Who got a bunker that got grow grass under the ground? Hey, listen, I don't know what that sound awful suspicious. Doesn't it sound suspicious to you, Chat?
Ocho
Yeah, it sounds suspicious to me. When I heard it, it sounded suspicious to me. So I'm using my neighbor's WI fi right now. So if I might go in and out. But just know I did everything I can to make sure I make sure tonight. That's why.
Joe
Hey.
Ocho
Hey. How my camera look? Because my camera ain't even my camera. Like kind of, kind of. It's, it's, it's good.
Joe
Yeah, it look good. It's you.
Ocho
Okay, okay, okay.
Joe
I mean, you put your. You. Hey, I was 3 and 0 this weekend.
Ocho
You 3 and 0.
Joe
Ravens won, Broncos won.
Ocho
But who was the third lost?
Joe
Savannah. Oh, I4 though. Savannah State won. Homecoming.
Ocho
Well, hold on. Who was the third? Who? I mean you. You.
Joe
Broncos one, Ravens one.
Ocho
That's two.
Joe
Savannah State one.
Ocho
That's three.
Joe
Bengals lost four and.
Ocho
Oh, he. Come on now.
Joe
Wait a minute. Hey, you. You. He.
Announcer
Haha.
Ocho
The Dolphins won today. What you talking about?
Joe
Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Ocho
The Dolphins won today.
Joe
I'm saying all the teams that I played for that Shannon Sharp played for won. The Guppies. You never played for the Guppies.
Ocho
Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. It doesn't matter who I play for. It's where I'm from. That's my home team. That's all I knew. That's what I grew up knowing until I got drafted.
Joe
So.
Ocho
So therefore, I'm a Dolph fan first. Before I knew anything about. Before I knew anything about the Cincinnati Bengals, I was a Dolphin. Guppies since 1968. And we won today. Did you see what we did to Atlanta? Let's talk about.
Joe
I saw that.
Ocho
Okay, okay. Let's put some respect up. Matter of fact, hold on.
Joe
Chad, he hurt about that chat. He hurt by that.
Ocho
Let's put some respect on my quarterback.
Joe
Ocho. This the only one I see right here. Hey, hey, hey.
Ocho
Put some respect on my quarterback too. Hey, we. Hey, listen. We were doing all. We were doing all that, you know that that tongue lashing and saying that, you know it. It was up and he needed to go and they need to fire Mike McDaniel was. And this even, even I was a culprit. Even, even me someone who's always been nice and trying to find excuse for people. Even I was critical. But after the day. Two is the future. Two is the future of the Miami Dawson franchise. Now they can clean house everywhere else but as long as Uno is there, we gonna be all right based on what I saw today.
Joe
Now let's talk bubblegum, bubble gum, pop pop. Bubble gum, bubble gum, bubble gum pop pop. My team, my team on top. Your team, your team a flop. Yay. You should.
Ocho
You just made that up just now.
Joe
That was the chill we had. I chilly did that when we was in high school. All that now you know we ain't bad, we ain't cocky. Yeah. Ride on you like a Kawasaki.
Ocho
Hey, wait.
Joe
Hey. But we.

Ocho oh Joe. Steelers turned the ball over in the second half once. Fumbled by Gainwell. Rogers was sacked twice. The pressure was relentless. All night they FL flushed him out of the pocket and Jordan Love had 360 passing yards as they take down as they take down the the Steelers 3525. As you can see, 360 passing yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions, 94 rush yards. It was a complete team effort. Everybody. You know, Brandon McManus missed two field goals that long one that 57. Maybe just a tad out of his range, but there's no excuse for the other one. He just, he shanked that thing really, really bad. Yeah. OO what did you like about what you saw from the Green Bay packers tonight?
Ocho
Listen, the packers look good. Obviously, I thought that the first half, I thought the Steelers was gonna run away with the game. I honestly thought the Steelers were gonna run away with the game the way it was a defensive game in the first half. The Packers, I don't know what the hell coach told him at halftime, came out on goddamn fire. Not defense, but hell on goddamn offense too. They scored on the first five possessions in the second half. And I'm not sure what happened to the Steelers defense, but you got people on that back end that you paid really good money, top quality money, simply to be able to stop the goddamn pass. They got Tucker Craft out there looking like he got them.
Joe
It was National Tight End Day to Ocho, huh? It was National Tight End Day. Oh.
Ocho
Oh.
Announcer
Is.
Ocho
Is that. Is that what it was?
Joe
That's what it is. That's what today was.
Ocho
Tucker Craft showed out tonight on National Titans Day. He had one hell of a goddamn day. Jordan Love did what Jordan Love does, but again, once they came out of halftime and the Steelers couldn't do anything defensive to stop him, it was going to be a long night. Now, the first half. The first half is good, huh? That was some good football on both sides of the ball from both teams. And I mean, listen, the packers came out at the half and Steeler couldn't do nothing with him on offense. They couldn't stop him at all.
Joe
Yeah. Jordan Love, 29, 37, 363 touchdowns, no interceptions, no sacks, no turnovers. Josh Jacob had the only rush touchdown, as you mentioned. O Tucker Carson, seven for 143, two touchdowns. He was sensational. Christian Watson, his first game back, 4 for 85. Romeo Dos had 3 for 44. Malik Heath had 3 for 29. They played really well. And I agree with you. Oo the Steelers got, you know, you. They got. You look at what they have defensively. They make the trade for J Ram. They have Joey Porter Jr. Who's a high second round draft pick, lockdown guy. You look at High Smith and you look at Watt and you look at Cam Hayward, Gary Slay. Yeah, bro, but you can't, you can't let him go up and down the field like that. You Can't. Not. Not in your building.
Ocho
And not with that kind of talent. We not. So we not just talk about. No anybody. We talk about some of the. Some of the greats that have played this game for a long time that. That bring you a veteran presence where things that you want to do on. On defense, it should be much easier because of the level of skill and talent that they do have. But it just didn't look like it did. Just didn't look like that tonight.
Joe
Did look like that tonight, huh? It did look like that.
Ocho
Come on, man.
Joe
And it look like that. Ultra. I'm agreeing with you. It didn't look like that tonight. That. All that talent that they have defensively, you don't.
Ocho
You don't. You don't have to zoom in on the jacket. That's what I'm doing.
Joe
I saw it.
Ocho
Hey, where you got that jacket? That's from Zara.
Joe
Hey, Chad. Am I doing too much? Chad? I want y' all to be honest with me. Is this too much? Because I know the one thing about the chat. Let me see what the chat say. Cause the chat gonna be honest with me. The chat always like, you doing too much. You know, Slow down. You. Hey, hey, stalling out. Don't do oh like that, Chad. I know y' all gonna be honest with me, so y' all can be honest.
Ocho
If.
Joe
Is this too much? Is the blazer the. The phone fit the T shirt? Is that too much chat?
Ocho
You feel like you feeling good tonight, huh?
Joe
I try to tell you about this. I told you this was gonna happen good tonight, huh? I told you we go do something. But I told you. I said we gonna do something bad to the Cowboys, I say, and the jets gonna get y'.
Stephen Curry (Narrator)
All.
Joe
I try to tell you that, but you ain't want. You ain't want to hear me. I'll just go ahead and sit this down right here.
Ocho
Listen, you. You didn't know the Jess was gonna do that today.
Joe
I did.
Ocho
No, but nobody. No, nobody expected just to win that game. Nobody did. No, you didn't. No, you didn't. Because I'm sure.
Joe
Put your finger down, man.
Ocho
Why?
Joe
He won't put his. Bet. He won't put his finger down, man. Come on, bro. It's all. It's all good.
Ocho
It's all good.
Joe
Oh, I was surprised with how well Green Bay moved the ball in the second half. Yeah. Now they have some. A lot of drives that they stalled themselves out in the first half, and then they missed two. They missed two field goals. Like I said, maybe the 57 yards, 57 yarder was a tad outside of McManus's range. Excuse me. Just like. But that second half was a complete domination by the, by the, the Packers. They look good. That front they got after Michael Parson. They was getting chipped. And I told you, I said the bet. The beneficiary of Michael Parsons over there is going to be Rashan. Gary.
Ocho
Gary. Yeah.
Joe
Because you're gonna have. Look, and after he had that three sack performance last week, he had four, but they took it back because of a he drop tackle. I knew that they were gonna play extra close attention. Yeah. To. To Micah. And so now Rashan Garrett's getting a lot of one on one. So I already knew that the beneficiary of this trade was going to be Ran Gary. And so now you got two guys screaming up there outside that could, that can rush with power, that can rush with speed. They do a great job of getting off the ball and they were relentless last tonight. Now I don't think the, the secondary is that great. So they're gonna have to get off.
Ocho
The ball like that.
Joe
They're gonna have to apply pressure, Ocho, because they don't have shut down guys in the secondary. They have, they have. Okay, they have decent guys. But as long as they can continue to generate the pressure that they're generating, they're going to be just fine. They're going to be just fine. You playing it the way they played. But I thought offensively they. Jordan Love, man. He. If you didn't know Aaron Rodgers actually played there every. I mean, look at the throws that he's making off his back foot. Look at how he's throwing across his body.
Ocho
He.
Joe
His mannerisms remind you. And I'm not saying he's going to be Aaron Rogers. I'm not going to say he's going to win four mvp. But I'm saying if you look at a lot of his mannerisms, you look at a lot of arm slots, the way he throws the ball off his wrong foot. Off his back foot.
Ocho
Quick, quick. The quick release.
Joe
Yeah, yeah.
Ocho
The side arm.
Joe
Yep.
Ocho
He's really good. You could tell. You can tell. He's obviously studied Aaron.
Joe
Studied and watched. Yes.
Ocho
Yeah. Study and watch him. And some of the stuff he's doing, he wasn't doing it in college. It has.
Joe
No, no, no.
Ocho
So obviously this is, this is why I say at times sometimes it's good for quarterbacks when you come in as a rookie, depending on who the starter is to sit back, relax, take it all in and learn from whoever it is that's sitting in front of you. And then when your time comes, then you look exactly how Jordan loves looks.
Joe
Some of the best quarterbacks didn't start. I mean, you look at. Obviously Brady didn't start, Patrick Mahomes didn't start. Josh Allen. I don't think Josh Allen started his first game.
Ocho
He did.
Joe
We could look that up. I don't think he did. I think but once he got in, yeah, he didn't look back. But I thought the packers gonna look. That's the Packers. That's a tough division. Well, I think it's a two team division. The quarterback play. The quarterback play in Minnesota and in Chicago is not as nearly, is not as consistent as it needs to be to be able to keep up with those other two teams, Detroit and Green Bay. I think Green Bay and Detroit obviously are the class of that division. I just don't think Carson Wentz and Caleb Williams give you consist and play week in and week out, down in and down out to really challenge these teams. Now look, it's a, it's a, it's intra division, so anything can happen. We know anything can happen within a division. But me, I just don't think the, the quarterback play is nearly consistent enough. But I was very impressed with the packers going on the road, knowing how much this game meant to Aaron Rodgers. And normally when you play a team oo that you played there, your team, your teeth comes back and you know they can pick you up. They wanna, they wanna make sure you win that game. Oh, I ain't even know I had this T shirt on up in here, Ocho. Is that too much? Hold on, hold on. Let me get my thing with jacket off.
Ocho
Oh, hey, you hiding now?
Joe
Yeah, hot down here. Yeah, hold on. Look at my. Look, look. Hey, y' all see the inside? Y' all like the inside?
Ocho
What, What'd that say? What a man. Broncos. Them little.
Joe
All the Bronco logos, all the logos. This was the first logo they had like in the 60s. Yeah, this was, I think this was like 68. This was the first one. This was the second one, the third one. This is the fourth one, you know, and you know, a little something. The Broncos, this is what they give the ring of Fame honorees. All three of the logos, orange jacket. Y' all get one of these, Ocho?
Stephen Curry (Narrator)
Huh?
Ocho
Yeah, I got, I got one. Yeah, listen, listen, you got, you got the Bronco logos. Mine got, you know, all the stripes, all the tiger stripes.
Joe
I ain't see that jacket. I Ain't see you with no jacket on when you went in the ring of Fame two years ago.
Ocho
Yeah, we had all we got. All got the same jackets.
Joe
I ain't see it. I just said I didn't see it. Oo. I got anything over there? I got anything else over there?
Ocho
I'm.
Stephen Curry (Speaker)
I'm aware.
Ocho
I'm aware.
Joe
Take it. I think I got one in there. Take it out.
Ocho
See, now, you. You ain't got to show us no more stuff. We know. We know y'. All.
Joe
I got a few things.
Ocho
We know. We know y' all won today. We know.
Joe
I got another one.
Stephen Curry (Narrator)
That's all.
Joe
Just close it up.
Ocho
Damn.
Joe
Yeah. Oh, Joe. See? See my bowling bag?
Ocho
What's that?
Joe
Bowling bag.
Ocho
You don't even bowl.
Joe
Now. I don't bowl. Let me.
Ocho
Hold on.
Joe
Hey. Told you I got to keep my shoes in here. I bet I never catch you in the alley. That's what I'm saying.
Ocho
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait. Hey, listen. I bow 280 or better. Who shoes? Them.
Joe
Is they in my bowling bag? So one would assume they buy shoes.
Ocho
And them shoes brand new. Still you on bowl, man.
Joe
Don't do that. Don't do that, Ocho. Don't do that. Don't do that.
Ocho
Listen, one thing about it. You. You're not a bowler. You're not. You might be a lot of things. You. How you gonna bowl? And your hips don't work.
Joe
They work. You're fine. Hey, I'm just saying they work fine.
Ocho
Hey, you know, when you bowl, you got to get low.
Joe
They showed it. They know. They know.
Ocho
What's that? That's eight pound ball.
Joe
I make it look like that, don't it? I got a couple of more in there. Hey, Walter.
Ocho
Ray WILLIAM jr. Hey, you know you can't bow.
Announcer
You.
Ocho
You walk around with eight pound balls, boy.
Joe
These ain't no eight pound balls, huh?
Ocho
Now you ain't no bowler, man.
Christina Williams
Come on.
Joe
Oh, that ain't like you, man.
Ocho
Hey, talk to me. I'm not trying to be no hater. What's your best score? What's your best score? On the alley.
Joe
I told. I think my best. Go like 220.
Ocho
That's it.
Joe
That's it, man.
Ocho
My daughter bowled 220.
Joe
I beat you.
Ocho
Nah, nah.
Joe
You know what? I.
Ocho
Hey, he like that.
Joe
Nathan Peterman started Week 1 of 2018 versus the Ravens before Josh Allen came into the third quarter and he didn't look back, so.
Ocho
Oh, hey, Nathan Peterman was bad, huh?
Joe
Oh, yeah. He was a verb. I mean, Peter hey, they out there petering. Was that the game he threw like five picks or was he in Sandy? Well, was he in the, in the Chargers when he had that terrible game? Ash look. Cause he had one game. He had like five picks. A fumble.
Ocho
Yeah, I remember that. I remember that.
Joe
Yeah, he was. He was good.

Been terrible. The Chiefs use a dominant second half to pull away from the Commanders by the score of 28 to 7. Patrick Mahomes tosses three touchdown passes in the second half. As you can see the numbers right there and they win comfortably 28 to 7. You know, watching this game oo I just thought the, the commander squandered too many opportunities in, in the first half they had an opportunity and the ball hits D boy in the face and Mike Dana intercepts it and they, they, they come up short on the fourth down where he tosses out of bounds. But I thought they had some really good opportunities in the first half to really put, apply some pressure. They were doing a great job of getting the ball out quick. I thought Marcus Mariota did a great job, you know, and Cliff Kingsburg did a great job of putting them in situations where they could get the ball out quick. Lot of misdirection. Use Mariota's legs a little bit. But when you'd have when you're on the road and you don't take advantage of opportunities when they're presented for you. When a team gets their rhythm, especially at their home, they're probably going to pull away for you from you. And you know you saw a very uncharacteristic some turnovers. If you notice that route was a terrible route by Hollywood Brown Ocho. How you in the slot? You already got leverage on him. How do you take two steps and stop, start looking back for the ball? You. You know, you. Hey, even Mahal went to the sideline and, bro. And you noticed he disappeared after that, didn't he?
Ocho
Oh, yeah. Yes, Absolutely. Ab. Ab. Absolutely. Listen, that. It all comes down to being sharp, being sharp and precise. Regardless of what route you running, you always have to be stay friendly to your quarterback and understand, you know, how to not only get open, but continue to create separation, to be able to catch any and everything, you know, for. For Hollywood, as long as he's been playing the game of football, you know better than that. Yeah.
Joe
You can't run the route like that. You got to put pressure on the db. You got to make him think you're going deep so he's going to want to get on top of you. If you start back, Ocho, if you take three steps and you looking for the ball, you don't run no go route like that. Who runs a go route like that?
Ocho
You're not. You're not fooling nobody. You're not going to fool nobody like that at all.
Joe
And, you know, I'm sure that was a situation. And then he hits Trav in the head with the ball, and it pops up in there. And B Wags ended up picking that off. But I thought once he got it going, guys made play for him. He did a great job of using his legs sometimes to run his way out of harm's way and sometimes to buy time. You see him hit Rasheed Rice on a couple of plays like that. He found for a touchdown, the running back for a touchdown. You see him. Trav. He hit Trav a couple of times after using his legs to buy time. But I thought. I. I thought overall, once they got it going in the second half, they had drives of what, 90 plus yards, yards, 80 yards, 70 yards. And it really broke the ball game open because for the first half, Ocho, I thought the. The commander's defense did a great job on him.
Ocho
Listen, they did. They did a phenomenal job on them. Listen, whether they play zone or whether they played man, they. They added pressure, and they played a really good game. The one thing I don't like about the first half of the commanders, and the Chiefs are one of the few teams that when they. When they turn the ball over, commanders have to capitalize. You got to make them pay. You got them. You got to make them pay. Because at whatever point, the Chiefs catch that momentum and find that rhythm, you want to stretch that lead as far as possible to make the game a Little easier. Make it a little more difficult for them to almost into a point where Centaur. You got to make them damn near one dimensional where they don't have a choice but to throw to get themselves back in the game.
Joe
Right.
Ocho
But the game was too close once they caught fire. And Mahomes started processing that information a little faster. Oh, y' all playing zone. Well, hell, I'm going to be surgical.
Joe
Yeah.
Ocho
Or find every hole. Because every time there's a defensive play called, there's always a hole in my home. Knew exactly where to go with the ball. Every goddamn time. Those plays where the defense actually called the right play. Okay, you got me this time, but I'mma beat you with my legs. Then he go beat you with the guy with his goddamn legs.
Joe
So I. I think. And you're right about that. Especially when you're on the road. When you're on the road, you try to keep the crowd out of the game as long as you possibly can. As long as they're not cheering, as long as they're sitting on the hands at the edge of their seat and they're nervous, you're winning.
Ocho
Yeah.
Joe
But when you get those opportunities, because the momentum is going to swing. If you look at the first half, the commanders had the momentum. Now what happened is that in the second half, the Chiefs got the momentum and when they got the Momentum, it went 14. It went 14. 7, 21, 7, 28. Seven in the blink of an eye. And the game's over.
Ocho
Hey, it was. It was a wrap. And they would. Where they scored what? Three. Three straight possessions.
Joe
Three straight possessions. And then they ran the ball, you know, ran the clock down late in the box or they could have let you. I'm surprised they didn't, you know, but I just thought they did a great job. They were really, really balanced. Ocho, you look at it. Targets. Travis Kelsey had eight targets. Rasheed Rice had nine targets. Xavier Word. They had seven targets. And you had six catches. Nine catches. Five catches. So you saw what they was doing. He bought time and found juju on a couple of routes. He found about time with his legs and found Kareem Hunt in the end zone with his legs. He's done a great job. As he's gotten older, he's doing more and more with his legs. He will run, but he's really looking to buy time and hope somebody comes open. And that's what makes him so dangerous. You don't want to bless him because he will come out of. He will jump out the window on you. And take off running. But he will. But he's also looking. He's constantly trying to process information. Can I throw this ball over the head? Is there. Is there a gap somewhere I can fit this ball in to get me 10, 15, 20 yards down the field and pick up a first down. But I thought they ran the ball well. You look at Kareem Hunt and Isaiah Pacheco, what they did running the football. 12 carries, 58 yards, nine carries, 40 yard. Mahomes had four carries for 30 yards, 30 rush attempts, 148 yards. So basically almost five yards of carry. That's good enough to win. Very balanced. Mahomes had 299 yards passing, three touchdowns, two interceptions. He was sacked three times. I thought they did. I thought Martin did a great job of putting pressure on him. They did a great job of forcing you out of the pocket, but you got. When you get there, you got to get him on the ground. Yeah, I don't know what that last six. I don't know what he was. He saw Mahomes gave himself up, and then you still gonna throw him down right there in front of the referee, and you don't think he's gonna call, he's gonna throw a flag.
Ocho
That's frustration. That's all frustration. That's all frustration at that point. And y' all obviously, okay, I can't hit him all game. We haven't been able to get to him all game. He's been getting out the pocket, extending plays. You know what? I finally got a hold of him. I'm gonna give him a little extra. I'm giving that extra just to let him know I'm here. And it didn't matter at that point. No.
Joe
And when you look at Locho, I think they didn't run the ball nearly as much as they needed to, because now all of a sudden, the pressure started to get into Mariota. He had eight rushes, 28 yards. Koski Merritt had nine for 25 yards. That's not enough. And it looks like McClure might have nicked that groin of that hamstring again, because he ended up coming out. I thought he made some great plays. Hell, I thought Debo was a catch right there at the pylon. And then I was looking at like, man, that's a catch by McLaurin in the end zone. Oh, yeah, that was a touchdown. Now, I don't necessarily know if I was an official Ocho, I would have overruled because I couldn't see that right leg. The inside leg did it hit down, out of bounds. He did get the elbow down. And you look at the left leg, the left leg didn't come down. But where was that right leg? There was never a clear view of where I could see what is right and what, what his right leg was doing. So I probably wouldn't have overruled it. But even in real time, I thought that those were catches with Debo and McLaurin. Hey, but you know, hey, that was a situation. I'm sure they said, oh, that's the Chiefs getting home cooking. The Chiefs getting home cooking.
Ocho
Hey, wait, listen. I'm not saying the refs are cheating, but they was cooking.
Joe
I think the thing is, Ocho, if you go back and look up it, a lot of them were out of position. Like that catch on the sideline. There were really no officials right there in the, in, in, in the vicinity. So you got to be in better position. Now. He was. They were looking at McLaurin when he was in the end zone. And they're trying to see, but you want to get there as close as you possibly can because you got a really hard job is his feet and does he hold on to the ball? If I look at where he catches the ball, I can't pay attention to his feet. So they really have a hard job. And that's really the job of two people. Yeah, that's why you always see him check. What'd you get? Was he out of bounds back there? Nah, he didn't step out. Okay. What he touched the pylon is good. So that is a two man job. But the guys got to be in position. The guys, the women and the men, they need to be in better position to make sure they're on top of those calls so they can get it right. But it's a tough situation and it's only gonna get worse since the implement of gambling and what we're starting to find out now, people are going now is really gonna ratchet up. Is really going to ramp up and say, see, I told you. I knew it all along. Bad. You can't fool me. High team play like this one week and then the next week they act like they ain't never seen foot or ball.
Ocho
Yeah. And it's the funny thing about it. Now people can say what they want to say. You can say the ref cheated, you can say that they didn't. But you understand when you ever have a quarterback, when you have a quarterback like Patrick Mahomes, it gives you a favorable chance to win any match. Yes, favorable chance to Win any game. Obviously there was some turnovers early in this game. The commander, what they needed to do to capitalize on those turnovers. And you saw what happened. And it's funny how the conversation about the Kansas City conversation about the Kansas City Chiefs had changed as the weeks have gone on. First they washed. They're not the same as they used to be. The receivers are playing bad in the first two weeks. They started 02, which they haven't done before, to now looking like the Kansas City Chiefs of old. And it was only a matter of time. It was only a matter of time of players getting back healthy. Rasheed Rice coming off of suspension, Hollywood Brown being in, Travis Kelce actually getting back to form and getting with them with, hey, now they hitting on all cylinders. And we still probably even had. We still haven't even seen probably the best Kansas City Chiefs team we can see just yet.
Joe
I'm just trying to figure out what happened to Taekwond Thornton. How does the guy be that involved? And I understand Rasheed Rice coming back. I get that. Ocho. But when a guy puts up that kind of numbers, you've got to find a way to get him on the field.
Ocho
They got so many options, man.
Joe
Look, it's hard for you to convince me that Hollywood Brown is better than Tyquan Thornton based on what we've seen this year.
Ocho
Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Joe
I'm not saying what he was when he was in Baltimore or what the year that he had in Arizona. I'm talking about right now. Based on what you saw when Hollywood Brown was in there and Tyquan Thornton was in there when Rasheed Rice wasn't. Taekwond Thornton was their best receiver.
Ocho
Yeah, he was making some plays. He was making catches, you know, especially deep balls when it was needed and it mattered most. And I knew. I knew they were going to play like this. I understood that. That's why when we had him on the show and I said, listen, once that door opens for you, make sure you put your foot in there, cross it and close the door behind you. Because this is the type of game that they play when it comes to business, when it comes to those that have already been paid, those who are making top dollar, they gonna see the field first.
Joe
I get. I get that. Rashid Rice. I get that with Rashid Rice because he is their best receiver. Oo we saw the maturation when he came in as a rookie and he got better and better and better and better. And as the year he was clear cut, he was the number one receiver yes.
Ocho
Yes, sir.
Joe
Obviously, had. Had some issues. I think he got nicked and he got that situation. Got himself. Himself, I feel. Got that behind him, Got that issue resolved. But I. I just. I'm looking like, damn. You mean to tell me this man can't get on the field and get 10 plays? He can't get one target, he can't get two targets. Now, Ocho, after doing what he's done in the absence of Rasheed Rice, look, we're not trying to start no conflict, but I think everybody in Kansas City and I think people that watch the game, follow the game, study the game, you're like, hold on. How does a man go from playing that well to not even getting in the game? Barely getting in the game, not getting any targets.
Ocho
In a sense, I'm not even upset. In a sense, I'm not even upset because I. I understand the doors with the way he played when everyone else was out, when Hollywood Brow wasn't there. When.
Joe
When Hollywood was there?
Ocho
No, no, no, no. When he. When he wasn't there. Hollywood. Hollywood wasn't there yet. He was hurt.
Joe
Where was he at? Not this year.
Ocho
What? Wasn't he hurt early on when Taekwond kept making all those plays, Making those plays?
Joe
Hollywood was in there. It was Hollywood. Xavier Rice, Xavier Worthy and Tyquan.
Ocho
Nah, nah. Somebody was missing. Somebody was missing from the equation.
Joe
But Rashid Rice was missing.
Ocho
Okay. Either way. Either way. Taekwonde was arguably easily based on what we were seeing.
Joe
Yes. That's all I'm seeing.
Ocho
But this is the only thing. This is the thing I like, is you've already put it on film now. You already put it on film, which you can do when you actually put in position to make those plays. So that door and the opportunity to play somewhere else where they will probably use him in his skill set that he does have, with that kind of speed. It's going to pay off. It just might. It's not going to pay off where he is now because obviously they don't appreciate what he was able to do because you have too many other options. You got too many other options.
Joe
And maybe it may be a situation. Ocho, maybe he's micked. Maybe there's something going on that you and I don't know about.
Ocho
Ain't nothing wrong with him. Ain't nothing. Ain't nothing wrong with him.
Joe
Scenarios out there, bro. Damn.
Ocho
You know, you know the game them folks play. You know the game they play. Hold on. Hey, I'm, you know, I'm sitting here, I gotta I gotta, I gotta grab this chair. I'm sitting here on my suitcase. Hey, look what I'm sitting on. You heard me. Look.
Joe
Yeah. Lord have mercy.
Ocho
It hurt my butt.
Joe
Yeah. See? Yeah. Xavier, think about Ocho. Xavier Worthy was injured and now Hollywood was there.
Ocho
Okay, that's what, that's what I meant. That's what. I knew it was one of them. I knew it was one of them. I just. So, yeah, it was Xavier. That's. That's right.
Joe
But Taekwondo, it may be some situation. Ocho, where T plays the same position as Worthy. Hollywood plays a different position because, you know, you got two speed guys. So maybe that's the situation. But I was, I was right. I was trying to figure out like, well, damn, how he go from being so productive to damn near. He damn near inactive.
Ocho
Yeah, yeah, it's. That's crazy. Now. I've seen it so many times. I've seen it so many times. Which is why I don't want to say the wrong thing, because they are winning. But when you have, when you have a team like that where they can, they can, they can plug and play different players in different positions and because you have Patrick Mahomes, it's going to always work regardless of who you put out there. I mean, it's hard to argue the fact is. Hard to argue the fact.
Joe
And then juju is so versatile. Juju blocked Juju make the tough catches over the middle. He understands, he doesn't miss hot reads. And that situation where they run the fake, I'm trying to figure out. I'm like, Noah, why would you run a seven route, bro? You should try to score a touchdown. Don't run that at the angle. Get that up the field. I'm like, guys, guys, do y'. All. I, I don't, I don't, I don't get it. I ain't trying. I'm trying. If I got the defense, fool, and the linebacker is trailing me from the inside, I'm not trying to get a 20 yard completion. I'm trying to get a 40 yard touchdown. And you see how Mahomes threw the ball. Mahomes threw him up the field because B Wags was trailing on the inside. He was like, he wanted to catch it and get tackled out of bounds. No, bro, take that off the field.
Ocho
Yeah.
Joe
I don't know. Maybe it was set up like that. Maybe it was a. To be a 20 yard completion and not a 40 yard touchdown. But there's like, you know, the way we ran around, like, look, if somebody's over the top, you flagged it off. If somebody's in the trail, you keep it high, right?
Ocho
Yeah.
Joe
Patriots beat the Browns 32 13. One week after finally eclipse and 17 points, Cleveland offense reverted to its old form, mustering two touchdowns. Gabriel also couldn't take care of the ball. One thing coaches have consistently praised him for is taking care of the football. Yeah, but guess what, Ocho. Two touchdowns. Shador Sanders wasn't active because of a back injury because. But the calls for him to play will only grow louder if the Browns continue to. Oh, the Browns bye week is this week, even though Kevin Stefanski said after the game that Gabriel will remain the team starter for now.
Ocho
Hey, they got. Damn, Drake May, Unc.
Joe
Boy, he looking good.
Ocho
Hey, listen, Drake May and Josh McDaniels. Now, I'm not saying. I'm not. I'm just saying the start that they're off to right now, goddamn Patriots are six and two, huh? Yes, but them boys six and two and they dealing. Boy, Drake May is dealing. They running. They running the ball. They throwing the ball. And he's not just as opposed to Flacco going to Uno, you know, all the time, 19 times, man. Drake May getting everybody, man list.
Joe
You get.
Ocho
You get a ball. You get a ball, you get a ball. Booty. Stefan Diggs, man, they was Collins, Austin, Cooper, Hunter, Henry. And everybody eating. Yes, everybody eats. And it's a good thing. It's a good thing. Obviously, you're playing the Browns. The Browns have a very good defense, but there's only so much they can do. There's only so much holding a team, holding the team down that they can do where your offense is sputtering and the offense is spreading too, too much, you know, you, you, you, you dead. The water. And then you got them. Defense is acting on the goddamn field damn near all goddamn all night long. All night long.
Joe
Yeah, it is. And I'm looking. Patriots had the ball for over 36 minutes, man. So that means. That means the. The Browns only had it for 23. Ain't a whole lot you can do in 23 minutes with the football at all you got. If you're gonna have the ball 23 minutes, you gotta be explosive. You better be explo.
Ocho
Efficient and explosive.
Joe
Kansas City. Kansas City didn't have it because you had Tyreek taking the top off. And to. In one play, two plays, 40 seconds, they don't score the touchdown. So you could understand that they don't have that level of explosiveness. So when you have the ball 23 minutes, that means Somebody else possessing it and they're gonna put foots in you. Miles Garrett had a career high five sacks today, but became the first player in NFL history to do that and lose by more than three points here. With his five sacks, Garrett passed Reggie White for the most sacks by a player, 108.5 before turning 30 since sacks became an official stats in 1982, despite personal success, Miles Garrett. Miles was caught being visibly upset with offensive woes on the sideline. Let's take a listen to what he had to say, Ocho after the game.
Ocho
Hey, you were hot, boy.
Joe
It doesn't get any easier each week, you ask me. So how do you feel about your performance act? Does the loss diminish how you feel about your performance today at August? I would throw the whole performance away.
Stephen Curry (Narrator)
For a win.
Joe
Ocho. Maybe I want you to explain it to me as if I was seven. So you're really gonna have to get down to it and explain it to me as if I was a kid.
Ocho
I got you. Talk to me.
Joe
I want you to tell me, what was Myles Garrett thinking was gonna happen? Based on everything that has happened since he's been there, what has he seen from this organization that convinced him they were going to get it right?
Ocho
Well, you have to understand as a seven year old that you are. I'm going to explain it to you in the best way possible. Miles Garrett understood. There is no more guaranteed money on my contract. So what am I going to do? Because I want a huge lump sum and I want to raise. I'm going to throw a fit. I'm going to throw a fit in wanting to get out, to demand the trade, to force their hand. Understanding there is no one else. There is no one else that can pull this off outside of me. As great as I am, they don't want to lose the asset that is me because my value is at its highest peak right now and understanding I can get what I want by doing this. This was very strategic. It was well thought out. He understood what the Browns were. They weren't changing in one year. They're not gonna change in two years. Hell, they ain't changed in the past 35 years. No, it was, you know, it's about getting. About getting your bag, getting your money. That's what it's about. You know, everything the bus around it. Now, when you get in front of the media, you know, you get in front of me, of course you're gonna see all the right things. Of course. Come on now. That's a part of the Game.
Joe
You're right.
Ocho
It's a part of the game, and that's. That's. That's what it is.
Joe
I agree with everything that you said. I think Miles Garrett is an outstanding football player. He seems like an understanding, upstanding young man, but at this point, I don't feel sorry for him. I can't. I can't. You know, this is what you. This is what you signed up for. Ocho. The days of Ocho. You remember back in the day, Ocho, people like, okay, the military, Uncle Sam looking for a few good men back. Then you go train a little bit, you're like, hey, I'm gonna get that GI Bill. I'm gonna get college paid for. Now you sign up for the military, you going to fight.
Ocho
Oh, yeah.
Joe
They got all this stuff going on around the world.
Ocho
You going everywhere.
Joe
Yeah. It ain't.
Announcer
No.
Joe
It ain't. No. Just no. No. No video games. You go a couple of weekends, and you appeal duties, and you go dope. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Ocho
All that. All. Hey, all that trying to join. All that trying to join to go get your hellcat and get you a challenger. Oh, you go, oh, you're gonna earn that.
Joe
Oh, you earned that.
Ocho
Oh, you're gonna. You're gonna earn. You're gonna earn that.
Joe
Yeah. With everything that's going on around the world, it's a different time. I can't. As much as I want to, I don't feel empathy. I don't feel. I don't feel compassion for Miles, because this is what he signed up for. Yeah, this is what he signed up for. Okay. Now that you got your money, you see that, Go ahead and ask for a trade. Try to go somewhere broad that you can win.
Ocho
Hold on. Matter of fact, what if, as great as he is, most of the time teams listen to trade talks when it comes to players like this, understand what the Browns can get for a Miles gap right now.
Joe
Yes.
Ocho
Improve and boast of their roster, their roster for the foreseeable future, understanding that they're not going anywhere. You're not going anywhere.
Joe
And he got five sacks, and they got the brakes beat off him, so it clearly it doesn't matter what he does. You're not any closer to your ultimate goal with Miles Garrett than you would be without him. So I might as well get pieces that I build. I can fill in that I believe that's going to help me get closer.
Ocho
Yes.
Joe
I would love to be able to win a championship with Miles Garrett, but you saw today, you see his impact. He's been a defensive player of the year. He's won the award, but he's in defensive player of the year contention every single year. And you're no closer to winning the division, you're no closer to winning getting into the playoffs or winning a playoff game than you would be without him.
Ocho
I have a question, too.
Joe
Yes.
Ocho
I hate to throw this out there, and I don't mean no chat. Y' all stay with me real quick and tell me what y' all think about this Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones made some phone calls, right? He made some phone calls down in Las Vegas. Yeah, Birdie told me he made some phone calls down to Cincinnati, but both of those teams said, nah, we good.
Joe
Yeah.
Ocho
You think about Jerry Jones making a call on down there to Cleveland to go and get 95?
Joe
Yeah. It's gonna probably take three first round picks, but you get. He had. The Cowboys have the capital. The Eagles will do it. Detroit will do it. You got to have somebody that. That's. That. That would put that, you know. Now here's the thing. That's. That. That's going to be tricky about Detroit because Hutch. You're gonna have to do something with Hutch this year, right? You gotta do. You're gonna have to do something with him.
Ocho
Hey, could you imagine Aiden Hutchins on one side?
Joe
No, I don't want to imagine that, man, with that offense.
Ocho
That ain't.
Joe
That.
Ocho
That's not fair. That's not fair. You might well just ship the goddamn Lombardi right out there to him right now.
Joe
Oh, for sure.
Ocho
Absolutely.
Joe
And. And if you put him in Dallas.
Ocho
Him on that turf, man, stop playing. Now, that's. Now that's a different maker. That's a different maker because the offense is so good. The offense is so good, you're gonna.
Joe
Be playing with a lead and he gonna have. He gonna get the rush all the time.
Ocho
There it is. There it is. And that's an impact player that will make your defense that much better.
Joe
For sure. That's. That's absolutely. That's absolutely for certain, Ocho. But it's just. It's just tough. I mean, you know. Yeah, I. I just don't know what he thought and I. Look, we told. I. I know why he did it, too. Like you said, there's no more guarantee. I need a. I need a contract. I ain't playing this last year with no guaranteed money. I want guaranteed money. I requested a trade. I understand what I mean in the community. I really love the city, yada yada. Yada. Oh, they came, said, we got 40 million. We got 105, 110 million fully guaranteed. Okay, I'm good. He know they not gonna win, but he got guaranteed money.
Ocho
Yeah. I mean, listen, we all know, you know, and those on outside, I mean, those were.
Joe
Let me ask you a question, Ocho, before you go any further. Do you believe if he says, I want to get traded, and he said that my destination would be the Eagles. I would like to go to the Eagles, or I got to go to, like, to go to Detroit. Do you believe that he gave him a similar contract? Cause I do.
Ocho
Yeah, absolutely.
Joe
Thank you.
Ocho
Absolutely. But what he's done before, he hit 30 years old.
Joe
He won't be 30. He won't be 30 until the 29th of December.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yeah.
Joe
That man got two months.
Ocho
Yeah.
Joe
Do you know how many sacks this man's gonna have in two months?
Ocho
Yeah, and see, that's why I said they would have been willing to do it because of what he's already accomplished. And he has 30. Right? Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. But listen, it still might happen. It still might happen because right now, the Browns, the organization, the gm, the scouts, the owner, I mean, we're really not going anywhere because they're not. Not. We're not.
Joe
They're not.
Ocho
We're not winning with them. So why don't we get pieces that we can use and continue to build for the foreseeable future?
Joe
But here's the thing, Ocho. Can they build?
Ocho
Nah. Yeah. Maybe Legos.
Joe
Exactly. Toy Land.
Ocho
That's what. That's what they. That's what they showed us.
Joe
Yes, they. They had a quarterback, but they didn't want him to be himself. He got injured and he played. He tried to play through it and, you know, had me convinced that he couldn't play.
Ocho
Right.
Joe
No, he could play. He just need pieces around him.
Ocho
Yeah. As all. As all quarterbacks do.
Joe
Yeah.
Ocho
Yes.
Joe
Look at it. When he got pieces around him. Ta da. Looking.
Ocho
Looking good.
Joe
But. But. And, you know, look, they. When they got high draft picks. But see, you got Miles Garrett. Okay. Slam dunk. You got Baker. Baker played good for a couple of years. He got injured. He. You didn't have the pieces around him. Right. But you got Denzel Ward. But here's the thing. Oo. It's those second round. It's the second through fifth. That builds your football team.
Ocho
Yeah.
Joe
That's where you make it. That's the way. That's the way you build a football team.
Ocho
Yeah.
Joe
And it's those pieces. So do we believe Cleveland can fill in. Can fill in the blanks? That's the question. Can they fill in the blanks? Ooh.
Ocho
Well, have they been able to fill them in the past, who knows how long?
Joe
No.
Ocho
There's your answer.
Joe
No, they hadn't had a quarterback since. Since Bernie Kozar was taking it to the AFC championship game consistently. Now, Baker had a couple of good years, but I'm talking about consistent play for or 3, 4 year stretch. It was burning, you know, the night. What was 80, 1980. When they had the cardiac kids. Brian Sike, Ozzy Newsome, Reggie Rucker, those guys. Yeah, but they haven't. They haven't been that in a while. You know, that was good. And like I said, when they had Bernie, they had Ernest Bona, Kevin Mack, they had Ozzy. I think.
Ocho
Metcalf was there, too.
Joe
Metcalf came in 90. Metcalf was in my draft. Now, Metcalf might have been 89. Yeah, I think Metcalf might have been 89.
Ocho
So he was there.
Joe
Yeah, he might have been there.
Ocho
He was there, man.
Joe
He was. You had to see him, man. That joker stopped on a dime. O joke with them high knees.
Ocho
Yeah.
Joe
Yeah, man. Cab was like that make.
Ocho
He must have ran track, huh?
Joe
Yeah, I think he did.
Ocho
Yeah.
Joe
Cause he was silky smooth, man.
Ocho
He exaggerated his running form as if he was on the track.
Joe
Garrett2020 23 defensive player of the year when he had 14 sacks. The five sacks today give him 10 for the season with nine games to play. It'll be tough for players on a losing team to win postseason awards, but he's going to be tough to ignore. Brian Burns is another. I think Brian Burns has 10 over 11 sacks. Gary, eight consecutive season with at least 10 sack. He's on pace to shatter his previous high of 16 sacks in a season. That's how well he's playing. But it's going to go unnoticed.
Ocho
Yeah, well, listen, if. If he. He continue to make noise. Continue to make noise. I think obviously before November 4th, I don't think he's gonna be there.
Joe
No, no, no. I don't think they trade him to see. But let me tell you. So, Joe.
Ocho
Huh?
Joe
Think about this. Do you know how hard it is to get sacks when you getting your ass kicked?
Ocho
Yeah.
Joe
This man got 10 sacks. This man got five sacks. And they ran the ball for damn near 200 yards on him. And he's still putting them numbers on that team.
Ocho
And that's crazy. I need. I need to talk to. I need. I need to talk to Andrew Barry.

Unc roasting the Cowboys’ “trap game” excuse:
"We don’t play down to competition. The standard is the standard. We’re the Denver Broncos, three-time Super Bowl champs. That’s who and what we are." — Joe (08:20)
Ocho on Packers’ halftime transformation:
"I don't know what the hell coach told him at halftime, came out on goddamn fire—not defense, but hell on goddamn offense too." — Ocho (17:38)
On Jordan Love’s growth:
"You can tell he’s obviously studied Aaron [Rodgers]... some of the stuff he’s doing, he wasn’t doing in college." — Ocho (23:56)
Joe on letting young QBs sit:
"Sometimes it’s good for quarterbacks … to sit back, relax, take it all in and learn … And then when your time comes, then you look exactly how Jordan Love looks." (24:05)
Joe, on Hollywood Brown’s poor route running:
"How do you take two steps and stop, start looking back for the ball? You don’t run no go route like that! Who runs a go route like that?" (34:46)
Ocho on turnovers:
"The Chiefs are one of the few teams that when they turn the ball over, [you] have to capitalize. You gotta make them pay." (35:04)
On Mahomes’ improvisation:
"He’s doing more and more with his legs…he’s constantly trying to process information…is there a gap somewhere I can fit this ball." — Joe (38:59)
Myles Garrett after a dominant but hollow performance:
"I would throw the whole performance away…for a win." — Garrett, as repeated by Joe (52:26)
Ocho’s “explain it to me like I’m seven” on Garrett’s situation:
"There is no more guaranteed money on my contract…Because my value is at its highest peak right now…I want a huge lump sum and I want a raise." — Ocho (53:12)
Joe, on Cleveland's woes:
"You had Miles Garrett. Okay. Slam dunk. You got Baker…He got injured. You didn’t have the pieces around him…It’s the second through fifth [rounds] that builds your football team." (60:23)
Bowling Challenge & Trash Talk (27:00–28:54):
Lighthearted back-and-forth as Unc and Ocho compare bowling skills and competitiveness.
"You don't even bowl…How you gonna bowl and your hips don’t work?" — Ocho (27:25, 27:54)

Ocho joking about losing his internet and borrowing the neighbor’s WiFi:
"I tweeted you back and said I wasn't gonna be able to come on the show tonight because my WiFi was down…somebody cut grass, they cut a line." — Ocho (09:37)
