You see what time it is what we on today. But to my far left, I got my dog, Bishop B. Heading out the pearlies. How you what Nasty?
Bishop B
What's happening Nasty? Let's get to it, baby.
Young Nacho
Now, Jay, listen man, we know you keep your feet right. You got the white ones on right now. But have you ever seen the black forces with the white laces before?
D.J. Wells
Hey man, this is my first time. This is my first time and they look cold.
Young Nacho
Oh.
D.J. Wells
Come on, man. Come on now.
Bishop B
Just for that, though, bro, I got you something, man. This from me and the team.
D.J. Wells
Yes, Appreciate it.
Bishop B
Got some forces, man.
D.J. Wells
Come on. Is it them right there?
Bishop B
No, it ain't them, but I'm gonna.
D.J. Wells
Get you, so come on, man. I wear this more Chrissy White.
Bishop B
That's my signature lace right there.
D.J. Wells
Okay.
Bishop B
Yeah.
D.J. Wells
So we better see these on Royal.
Bishop B
Rumble, then out the gate.
Young Nacho
Yes, sir.
Bishop B
Love, bro.
D.J. Wells
Appreciate it. Appreciate it, brother.
Young Nacho
Man, I can't wait, man. If at some point we see Jey uso out here in the black with the white laces, that'd be crazy.
Jay Uso
That's gonna be crazy.
D.J. Wells
Come on, man. What is a split room here? How do we feel about.
Young Nacho
That's the passive aggressive shoe for him. Like, it's like he might nicely rob you. Where he wear those. Specifically the black forces, his violence. Those come with a little bit more respect.
D.J. Wells
Soft.
Bishop B
Yeah, we'll make sure you get a pair of J. It was hard finding a motherfucker 13:13.
Young Nacho
In the black forces. Yeah, that screams violence for sure. But to my right, got my dog, Young Nacho Young. How you at?
Jay Uso
I'm chilling, bro. Y'all know I'm excited about this one. I'm the only WWE fan in real life. I mean, DJ used to watch when he was younger, but I still watch. So to have a wrestler on today.
Bishop B
Yeah, my boy, Happy boy.
Jay Uso
My favorite guest so far. We done had a lot of great players on here, but a wrestler and one of my favorite wrestlers right now. I'm gonna let you do the honors.
Young Nacho
Dude, come on, man. You see the belt right here? We tapped in for sure, man. This man's a champion, man. Tag team champ. Mr. Intercontinental champion on his way to being a world champ. Stream live on Peacock Saturday, Royal Rumble. We got the one and only. Made it. Vid J. USO in the building, Big dog. Appreciate you sliding on us.
D.J. Wells
Hey, Thing. Hey, hey, thanks for the intro.
Jay Uso
Yes, sir.
D.J. Wells
Hell of an intro, uso.
Young Nacho
You feel me?
D.J. Wells
Yee.
Young Nacho
For sure, man. Listen, we gonna talk about everything, man. But like we said, the foot game, wrestling and forces, man. How do you do that?
D.J. Wells
Man, to be honest, I tape my ankles up every single match. And then I double sock em so there is no support with the ankles, you know. But, man, I just like how they look on tv, man. Just the all whites. And then at the time when we started wearing tennis shoes, like, me and my brother were the only ones wearing Air Force ones. Everybody had to wear boots. It was like a rule. But for Us, we got away with it. Cause we was just trying stuff, man. We go to champs, get a pair of whites and black joggers. Buy one, get one free. It was. You know what I'm saying? That was a wrestling gear right there.
Jay Uso
USO Penitentiary. Y'all know. Y'all was happy. I was tapping.
D.J. Wells
Come on. That day one Ish came. We made a shirt in the middle of the mall loose. You know, we was just trying stuff. The day one Ish, that's fire. Me and him. Well, we can't say day one.
Young Nacho
Shit.
Jay Uso
Yeah, right.
D.J. Wells
So Ish was a. You know, on the rap. Rap song Ish.
Young Nacho
Yeah, that's the edited version for sure.
D.J. Wells
Yeah. Bradley, we at the drawing board with stuff, man. That's hard for sure, man.
Young Nacho
That's crazy. Like, for you, you know what I'm saying? Be a superstar. Like you said. The beginnings. Y'all just like regular people. We at the mall trying to figure it out. Where we used to go to get fresh, get airbrushed. Cop the white forces. All full circle. Moment, man. But let's talk about the beginning, man. San Fran growing up, crazy wrestling lineage. T, I know you all super tapped in about that, for sure.
Jay Uso
Grandpa to the father, to the cousins to everybody. Like, growing up in that environment where the whole. Your whole family has grew up in the wrestling world. Was you inspired to be a wrestler, or would you want to do something else? Did you play any other sports, anything else like that?
Bishop B
I already played football.
D.J. Wells
Yeah, we were ballers, man. Like, always wanted to play football. You know how that go.
Jay Uso
Yeah.
D.J. Wells
After college, you know, kind of came home getting the Real World writers. It's like, well, damn, this ain't fun, you know, you could just go to a regular job, clock in, clock out every night. Three years, start getting big, you know, athletes. When you come home, it's a different transition. Right. Like, you don't know what to do. We was just eating a lot, you know, wasn't working out, training as much. So now. Now I'm damn near tipping like, 270, like 280, you know, just unhealthy, man. Then just gotta grow up. Always make a decision. We had kids early. Wrestling was the door to walk through. It was a hard door to walk through, though. My pops wanted to. You sure y'all want to do this? Yes, sir. All right. Took us to a ring, beat me and my brother's ass for two hours.
Bishop B
Damn, that's crazy.
Young Nacho
And just notable to say who Pops is in the situation.
Jay Uso
Rikishi is his Pops. If y'all don't know.
Young Nacho
Go arresting Rakishi.
D.J. Wells
Y'all don't know who Rakishi is. Like, just look him up, man. His hands.
Young Nacho
It was no easy fight.
Bishop B
I wasn't no big wrestling fan, but your pops was out of pocket. That. That stink. Stinky, stanky face. Whatever the fuck.
Young Nacho
Come on.
Jay Uso
Hey, bro, that's restroom before he fought him and then.
Bishop B
Come on, man.
D.J. Wells
Man, Pops is doing that kind of stuff. But damn.
Bishop B
That's like, literally the only thing I really remember. He used to do his thing, but I'm like, that was like, something that stuck out.
Jay Uso
But he brought the vibes to wrestling that were too cool. They used to be dancing and stuff. They kind of brought a different element to the game at that time, though.
Young Nacho
Sure.
D.J. Wells
A little disrespectful, though, ain't it? That was crazy, bro.
Bishop B
How was it like growing up in that world, though, bro? Seeing your pops, like, was he like a different man when he came home? Like, did y'all know how famous he was, man?
D.J. Wells
No, it was because, to be honest, he ain't hit his. He hit his, like, famous. He didn't get notarization until I kind of got in high school. So I was kind of old enough to know. But as far as, like, being a kid growing up, we didn't have a lot of money. It was like we was a poor family because he was a wrestler trying to. Trying to make it.
Bishop B
Yeah.
D.J. Wells
And I remember when he. That. I don't know, you probably remember, it was when he ran over Stone Cold.
Jay Uso
Yeah, I remember, man.
D.J. Wells
I was out there. Me and my brother was fighting, like, almost every single week, man. Cause the kids were little stone testing us, man. Yeah, your dad. Your dad sucks. Your dad ran over Stone Cold. Luckily, we was good in football, so that's what kind of like, separated us from being like them the wrestlers kids right there, let alone we're twins. But we were balling, bro. My dad would come to the games, and I remember being on the field deuce. And if I see a crowd move, I know my dad's here.
Jay Uso
Yeah, that's crazy.
D.J. Wells
I would just look like the game would stop for, like, two seconds. All right, he's here. Cause you can't miss him. You know, He a big Samoan with blonde hair. Yeah.
Young Nacho
Y'all was in Florida at the time, right?
D.J. Wells
Yeah, Pensacola. Grew up in Pensacola, man. I was born in Cali, and then we moved to Florida when I was, like, five. So we've been in the south ever since. That's where I met Roman at Like, from the sandbox. It was. I mean, Little League football, middle school, all the way up to high school. Like, Ballin, bruh. He went to Georgia Tech, and my brother went to, like, a Division 2 West Alabama. That's the only time we split ways, man. And then it's crazy. Cause life. We go through life together. Oh, and now he came back as a. Wanted to be a wrestler and train. And I remember when he told me that I'm over here tripping, like, you trying to wrestle, you know? Cause it was never. He was never, like, leaning towards that. And just to see, like, where he at today, man. Like, my mom. My hat goes off, man. Like, mind blown, man.
Bishop B
That's a Roman Reigns, Okay?
Jay Uso
I mean, they all my guys, but they all. They don't know. So they got a faction called the Bloodline at one point. I'll let you go.
Young Nacho
No, no, I'm trying.
D.J. Wells
When I say. When I say we running it, they.
Jay Uso
Whole family is like.
Bishop B
I mean, shout out to the gang.
Jay Uso
I'm here to learn the linear elite right now.
Bishop B
Okay.
Jay Uso
They running everything, so for sure, you.
Young Nacho
Talking about the beginnings of wrestling. I want to ask you. I know you active on social media. Do you ever see those people who have, like, the random wrestling matches? Like, they did the fake proposal in the mall, and they ran and, like, kicked them over and stuff like that?
D.J. Wells
Yeah.
Young Nacho
How do you. I mean, obviously you had the highs up, but I know. Do y'all see that? Like, get abused by that? Like, that's crazy. Like, that's how, like, the beginning is in wrestling. Like, you just trying to find your way with stuff.
D.J. Wells
Yeah, I. I mean, I dig it because it. It shows them being, like, hungry. Yeah. Trying to. They're hungry for it, you know, but it's dangerous, though. They need to chill out on it.
Jay Uso
They be on concrete, be everywhere with Real, man.
Bishop B
How do you separate the entertainment from the real stuff, though? Like the.
Young Nacho
But they were wrestling at a closed mall.
Bishop B
I'm just saying, bro. Like, some of it. I know it's entertainment, of course, but it's some of it, bro. Y'all really be having to whoop a ass for real.
D.J. Wells
Real talk.
Bishop B
But, like, how to.
D.J. Wells
That'd be professional in there, though. There's some homies in there, though. Like, whoever I'm about to wrestle, whatever. I'm, like, gotta bring my A game with this one, you know?
Bishop B
Yeah, I like.
D.J. Wells
I like if. I like, if somebody's, like, working me or. Or, you know, say they wrestling me tonight, man. I like for them to think if Me and you wrestling loose. I want you to be like, oh, I got Jay tonight. Easy. Like, you know it's gonna be. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? The movement in there, it's all different. Even there was another. If you really think about it, the ring ain't no bigger than this. This room right here, kind of. And you in there were two big men just dancing in this. In this squared circle.
Bishop B
Yeah.
D.J. Wells
They got to be safe with each other. You know what I'm saying? Like, it's a dance to. It's an art in there, man. We just not in there. Just throwing each other around, you know? This is a loss. It's a loss. There's art to this, man. And I look at it like live television. One shot, ain't no redos. You mess up on the microphone. You can't. You know, everything's live. Ooh. Okay, so.
Bishop B
Cause our producer, he used to wrestle, but it was real thing. It was. No, like, when they used to fold him up. They used to fold him up.
Jay Uso
They used to have the curtain angle, headgear.
Bishop B
Yeah, they was. His name was Freaky Mike.
Young Nacho
Yeah, that was his wrestling.
D.J. Wells
Real wrestling.
Bishop B
Yeah.
Jay Uso
He used to wear Jordans when he was.
Bishop B
They used to go up under each other and scoop each other down.
Young Nacho
Unless in the championship, he wore white K Swiss. That was the championship, man. You got the white force. He wore the white K. Swiss. We try get the deal back. We try to tap back in, man n. Respect, man.
Jay Uso
And we dead ass serious.
Young Nacho
So you didn't wrestle? You didn't wrestle?
Jay Uso
Okay.
Bishop B
They was barefoot. Respect. Back to Jay, man. Back to J.
D.J. Wells
He had a headset.
Young Nacho
Like, he was like. He had a truck driver.
Bishop B
He had the first Dre Beast.
Young Nacho
He's. My bike is crazy.
D.J. Wells
He was getting them W's, though. He getting them W's.
Young Nacho
What was your record?
Bishop B
Okay, you said that's a short season.
Young Nacho
Oh, wow, that's great. See, move on like, high school. Lovely place to be. So, like you said, your early journey, you get going, Pops. How is that situation? Like you said, you know, he put y'all through the ringer now y'all go through, like, the smaller circle before you become a superstar. How's that grind? Like.
D.J. Wells
Yeah, hard, bro. Hard. Just do it for, you know, little gyms. They still do it. It's called independent now. But still, still, still homies out there hustling. It's kind of easier now because they got social media, and it's easy to get recognition. So, like, when I was coming up, we had to like, send in pictures and tapes. You know, take pictures and mail them in. And the only way you can get noticed is if you get on, like, the big stage, you know, either Monday Night Raw or Smackdown. Those are the only two. And there's a lot of platforms now, man. So now we got nxt. Like, so, like, it's dope to be a wrestling fan, man. If you really watch it, tomorrow's gonna go crazy.
Bishop B
I mean, yeah, bro. I'm gonna come check you out, bro.
D.J. Wells
Yeah, Br. You gonna. You gonna see?
Jay Uso
Nah, I showed him one time. I know we getting ahead of ourselves, but I showed him on RAW one time. I mean, you came out, and I was like, just watch this.
Bishop B
Yeah, he probably could have.
Jay Uso
And I kept playing it, and that's what it was. Maybe two weeks ago.
Bishop B
Yeah.
Jay Uso
And you had the. The crowd was still going. You looked. You was like, let me get back on the ropes again.
D.J. Wells
Come on, man.
Jay Uso
Y'all started yeeting and getting the crowd going. And I was just telling, like, bro, it's different. And I don't think you've been to.
Bishop B
An event before, like, when I was a little kid, bro, and I. This is what tarnished my brain, bro. So they was wrestling. I forgot who it was, and he missed him, and the dude just fell out, bro. And it was, like, finally out. Santa Claus wasn't real, bro. So it kind of. Kind of fucked me up, bro.
D.J. Wells
Very.
Bishop B
Since then. And then with him once, I really got to, you know, dealing with him, you know, Bro, really tapped into wrestling. He got onesies and everything.
D.J. Wells
You know what I mean?
Jay Uso
He out of pocket. I don't got no ones, bro.
Bishop B
He was tell telling me, like, how real it is for real, though, you know what I mean? Like, it's a real. Real sport. So I learned from him, you know, he giving me the game a little bit.
D.J. Wells
Yeah.
Jay Uso
Like he said, it's hard.
Bishop B
Yeah. That's what I'm saying. It's still a show. But I'm saying that kind of when I was watching as a kid, bro, I like. And then to go, I was like, damn, bro.
D.J. Wells
Yeah.
Young Nacho
And it's crazy because, like you said, we all grew up in the area, and probably you did, too. Like, I was gonna ask you, I mean, outside of the family, who would you like wrestlers that you like liked in with early? Cause we grew up on Stone Cold the Rock dx. Nwo, like, Ultimate Warrior, bro. Come on, bro.
D.J. Wells
That's my favorite, bro. I stole his whole. Me and my brother with the old face paint. That's all Ultimate Warrior. Yeah.
Jay Uso
I ain't run to the ring like that, though.
Young Nacho
He can't roll like that. White Force.
D.J. Wells
I be getting tired on my entrance now.
Young Nacho
I be seeing sometimes you get on.
Jay Uso
The mic, you be like, you gotta catch your breath.
D.J. Wells
They be like, go, go, go. I be like, man, I can't breathe. Hold up. I can't breathe.
Jay Uso
The energy be crazy though.
D.J. Wells
Yeah. Nah.
Young Nacho
And just dope like you intertwined the culture. Like you coming out with Quavo like that was just fire. Like that was a moment, bro.
Jay Uso
Quavo came out with him.
Young Nacho
Yeah. Disrespect. There we go. I'm out of pocket.
D.J. Wells
Hey, now, I came out when. I came out when they told me I was going with Wayne on Wrestlemania, man. I'm a big come on, man. Like, obviously got grew up listening to Wayne. And I told him my first wrestling match, me and my brother walked out to go dj. My first wrestling match, dog damn. We go dj. And then just to have him walk me out as a full circle, man, we here.
Young Nacho

D.J. Wells
Man, I'm going back man. Like either the first Carter or like.
Jay Uso
Yeah Here we go.
D.J. Wells
He tapped like the, like, block is hot.
Jay Uso
Like, oh, he going way better. Yeah.
Young Nacho
Hey, don't block his hot.
Jay Uso
I don't like blocking hot that much. Carter won, though.
Bishop B
Yeah, Carter won. He was here.
Jay Uso
Yeah. Yeah, Carter won.
D.J. Wells
Come on.
Jay Uso
That's too much right there.
Bishop B
That's a good pick. That's a great pick.
D.J. Wells
Come on, man.
Young Nacho
Shout out to Wayne, man.
D.J. Wells
It's a ugly motherfucker, though, man. I said, Damn, bro. It's 11. It's 11am Man. His took his glasses off. Bloodshot, I said. Almost walked past him.
Bishop B
Didn't have all that damn jewelry on.
Young Nacho
Hell no, man.
D.J. Wells
My son bigger than him.
Jay Uso
I know Wayne Little as hell. Him and Kevin Hart, bro, they so short.
D.J. Wells
Little though.
Jay Uso
Jeezy. That's the first rapper to mess me up that he was short.
Bishop B
Yeah, Jeezy.
Jay Uso
I was like. I just knew he was 64 the way he was talking. I said, he's 6 4, 6 5. I seen he was 5 3.
Young Nacho
I said, I might be. Might be.
Jay Uso
All right.
Young Nacho
That's why them go for show. Be here talking about how you know. I'm saying the show scar him for life. Have you had a match or a situation where you like, you know you messed up in.
D.J. Wells
Yeah, man. Hell yeah, man. Well, I did. My brother did. But I felt this. I felt just as bad. Well, we debuted. It was like. The debut is when you first show up on TV, man. It's on YouTube, too. He. He thing we supposed to jump on the top rope and then splash, boom. He jumped on the top rope and he. And he slipped. He felt like he just slipped, man. So everybody was like, ha, ha ha, idiot. You know? Cause you can kind of hear, like, the. The first five rows right there. They talk. Damn, they talking shit. But, yeah, my brother slipped, and he was real upset about him. I was like, damn. Because we didn't know. We were just trying to make sure everything was good. Because every. Every. I ain't gonna lie, bro. Every year I've been wrestling, I thought I'd get fired.
Jay Uso
Damn.
D.J. Wells
Like, that's how I think, but that's how. That's how cold it is. Because everybody's coming like this business. Everybody's trying to come get the top spot, and they bringing in little homies, and I'm on my way out. I've been in. I've been hit on. On WWE TV for going 15 years. Yes, sir.
Bishop B
Damn, bro.
D.J. Wells
So I'm in my body, bro.
Bishop B
My.
D.J. Wells
I ain't never, ever. I always felt strong, like, body kind of feel the Body creeping up.
Bishop B
Yeah.
D.J. Wells
You know, I'm 39 right now. Like, this a young man's game now. And I recognize it. I recognize it. I just, like. I just, like, man, stepping up, like, challenging all of them, because they're gonna have to go through me. They're gonna have to go through the top homies to get to take it. Yeah, I'm not gonna let you take it, bro, if you ain't. If you're not ready for this, man.
Bishop B
That shit like Tekken clock to the top to be the top dog for sure.
Young Nacho
And I just seen an article that came out a couple days ago. They was kind of speaking about what's coming up with the Royal Rumble stuff. And they were just like, you know, we. Like, we happy to see Jay was on this life. They were just like, we happy. It finally got to a point to where they're pushing it. Like, he's been the same polarizing figure since he entered this game. Like, you say, wait till you're turning to get to the top. How's it feel? It's just like, all right. I had to go through that gauntlet, but it's my time to show who I am now.
D.J. Wells
Yeah, I appreciate it, man. I'm so, bro. I'm grateful, man, because there was a moment in wrestling where there was no reaction, or I wasn't on tv, or I would just show up to work and just sit in the corner the whole time and just, man, what do I do? How do I do? So every single night, man, I treat it like. Like it's my first time, man. Because, like. Like, you've seen it. Losing the energy out there is crazy.
Jay Uso
Yeah, it's crazy.
D.J. Wells
And I really. I really vibe off that. And if. And if. And if I'm gonna take up time on tv, you know, our segments are slotted out with certain time. If, man, if I'm out there and they going crazy, you're gonna have to cut some time from the segment coming after me, because they ain't gonna get no higher than what's going on right now. That's. Yeah, yeah. Shit. I'm excited for rumble. I wanna have. Have 20,000 in my hand, dudes. Nah, that's crazy.
Jay Uso
Fire. I've seen it. It's crazy. Cause my little nephew was here, and he watched wrestling all the time. And I'm like, who your favorite wrestler right now? He used to love Rey Mysterio, so I just knew he was about to say Rey Mysterio again. He was like, jay, and I knew you were coming today. I was like, j who? He's like, uso yee. And I started laughing. I'm like, you in a rude awakening. But boy, he bout to be hyped. So when he came in here and seen you and like, I was showing him the energy that all the kids and all the fans got.
D.J. Wells
Yeah, yeah. There's something special about him. Yeah, you just feel that energy when I. The little kids don't ever come up to you? What up, man? Yeah, especially somebody like me. So for him to do that, he's got. There's something special special with him. Yeah.
Bishop B
Nah, for sure.
Jay Uso
Shout out to Special Carter. Gotta call him Special Carter.
Young Nacho
Shout out Carter. That's crazy, man. Hey, listen, you know so much about the wrestling lineage, man. You got any questions for my mans right here, man.
Jay Uso
I just wanna know, like, what it was like when you had to not, let's say, break up with your brother, but they separated you as a tag team.
D.J. Wells
I think at the time it was needed.
Jay Uso
Yeah.
D.J. Wells
Because you know, I was going through the whole angle with Roman and that kind of like. Like let me blossom a little bit. So it was perfect timing, man. I do miss my brothers though. Cause I don't see them. Cause we're on different shows now. So like the rental, the car rides and then the airports are. It changed the game. Cause I'm used to us always being together. Made travel life real easy.
Jay Uso
Yeah, I believe that.
Young Nacho
Most definitely. You talk about that life, man. What's like a typical year, like for you? How many days are you on a row? How many days are you performing?
D.J. Wells
Yeah, I was telling him like, 273 is the dates. 273.
Jay Uso
And I was complaining.
Young Nacho
82 games like shit.
Jay Uso
And 41 at home.
Bishop B
Damn near baseball player, bro.
D.J. Wells
Right?
Jay Uso
Nah, that's worse.
Bishop B
How many baseball players?
Jay Uso
I mean, but they moving.
D.J. Wells
Yeah.
Jay Uso
Every day. They don't stay in the.
D.J. Wells
We drive ourselves. We in the airport and we ain't driving. No. We do rental cars. I'm in line like everybody else. That's what makes us different. Because we're always in the trench. We're still in the trenches and we're. We're with people, regular people.
Bishop B
Yeah.
D.J. Wells
I'm literally standing behind your ass in national rental car trying to get my rental car.
Young Nacho
And you.
D.J. Wells
It's me, it's them, you know, six, seven brothers behind me and they're like this. Oh my God. Are you guys a team like now? We all, Everybody always tried to be covered up.
Bishop B
Yeah.
D.J. Wells
You know, sometimes you just don't want to Be bothered like that. And this is the most loose I've ever been recognized. Like, I can't. I go to Publix. Everywhere when I'm eating with my kids, there's somebody. Which I appreciate it, but it's just. Sometimes, man, you just. You just want to be normal and have lunch with my kids instead of.
Bishop B
You know, being bombarded.
D.J. Wells
Come with the. They come with. They come with the game.
Young Nacho
How do your kids like it?
Jay Uso
Do. Are they excited like pop.
D.J. Wells
So I gotta. I got a 19 year old. He goes to Morehouse in Atlanta. Out the gate, academic scholarship, man.
Jay Uso
Oh, no, no.
D.J. Wells
Yeah, yeah. His name is Josiah. He was gonna be here, but. Yeah, he in school. Freshman. He loving it.
Bishop B
We just talked about motherfuckers like, you have a time.
D.J. Wells
I can't. I can't. When I call him, I was like, just call me back, man. Like, he don't hit me back till like all day, man. Just hit me.
Jay Uso
Just call me, man.
Young Nacho
I grew up in Atlanta.
Jay Uso
I was 19 in Atlanta. Turning 20.
D.J. Wells
Yeah.
Bishop B
Shout out to him.
Jay Uso
Good times out there.
D.J. Wells
And then my little one out there, he over there. Dad, how old I gotta be the wrestler. I'm like 18. Five more years, me and you gonna be like Dom and Rey Mysterio.
Jay Uso
Oh, that's lit.
Young Nacho
That's fire.
Bishop B
That's hard, bro. That's hard.
D.J. Wells
He's so into it, man.
Young Nacho
I want to ask you that with the Lindy's, you know what I'm saying? Growing up with that family, being around that, is that something you would like? Hopefully the kids, like, y'all can just do what y'all want to, but you wouldn't have had the next generation usage.
D.J. Wells
Yeah, bro, I feel like if. If he wanted to, like, yeah, I let him because it is hard. But man, he got to be all in, man. But man, I got like nieces and nephews, like ready to go. 15, 16, 17, 6, 5, 300 pound. Like big Simone kids. Oh, no. Niece is slim, but she's tall. I better say 5, 10. We got some big girls now. Yeah, we got some big ones now.
Jay Uso
Like you said, your whole family like your little brother. For him to make a way in wrestling and become a star too. What was that like, seeing him grow, man?
D.J. Wells
Great, man. Cause, man, his story. He really. He was a baller too. He played at Dickinson State. He was in North Dakota. Cause he grew up in Sacramento, so that's where he went to school at. But man, he used to install cabinets. But he would do that and then go wrestle, do that and go Wrestle. Man, no money. I would help him out, but I'm trying to tell him, man, like, this. This is the grind mode. This is it right here. You can drive your ass three hours ago, wrestle. For 20 bucks, you have to go do it, because that's what you're supposed to do if you're trying to make it. And as soon as he got in, his foot in the door, though, like, I know he was going to go to nxt. And I knew they were just going to bring him up. And when they bought him up, they dropped him, like, right on top of, you know. Yeah, bought him in. Bought him in. As, you know, Roman's hitter hit her. Yeah, man, and then he took off. Character. The character part, you know, Paul Heyman. Yo, you just don't say shit. You just stand there and look big. So now we just painted him a whole character, and then he don't even say nothing. Yeah, he wasn't gonna, like, like, dye his or shave his head down. Like a bald. A big.
Jay Uso
But, yeah, big bald.
D.J. Wells
Yeah, they like the. They like the blonde hair, but everything's detailed. It was, like, from. From what you look, how you look. Everything's character, man, he funny.
Jay Uso
Like, he, like a funny wrestler. Like, he do some funny moments, like when he about to get powerbombed or something.
D.J. Wells
He'll be like, man, he funny for real.
Jay Uso
Yeah, he hilarious. I be watching him, like, yo, he be clowning, for real.
D.J. Wells
Like, he having a good time with Jimmy. Funny as hell, though. Y'all should have had him on here, too. I ain't know it was gonna be like this. I wish I would have bought him. He would have been anything.
Young Nacho
And audio. This ain't traditional media.
D.J. Wells
I'm trying to. I got. I got a lot of stuff to do today with the. With the media, man. I'll do this all day.
Jay Uso
Chilling, bro. Appreciate it.
Young Nacho
For sure.
Bishop B
What's your signature move, bro? You. You. I know your daddy. Yeah. Shout out to OG But.
D.J. Wells
Oh, man. Stink Fade Splash. Super Fly Splash. That's the original name from Jimmy Fly Snooking. Damn.
Bishop B
I love that name.
D.J. Wells
Literally, just lay on the floor and I would jump off and bam your ass.
Bishop B
Superfly Smash.
D.J. Wells
Superfly Splash. That's the original name, you know, sfs.
Bishop B
Okay. Yeah.
Jay Uso
And he gonna hit you with one of them super kicks, too, though.
Young Nacho
Yeah.
D.J. Wells
What is that? I just kick you in your face like Shawn Michaels.
Jay Uso
Yeah. The Force.
D.J. Wells
You just gotta go like this. It's coming.
Bishop B
No, that's dope, bro. I can't wait to come to this Tomorrow, man. I'm pull up.
Jay Uso
There you go.
Young Nacho
Have so much fun, man. So it's crazy, like you said, like us especially, we all the same age. We're growing up. Like everybody was in the TR with wrestling and stuff like that. Like main events and stuff like that. So like, Royal Rumble, like, that's a crazy. That's like one of the pinnacles. It's right there with WrestleMania for us, man. Like, how is that to be a part of this special moment, man?
D.J. Wells
Fire, man. I'm excited, man. I get to like. I'm already. I'm just excited because my brother's in there, my cousin's in there. Jacob Fatu is my real first cousin.
Jay Uso
It's crazy.
D.J. Wells
He's a beast.
Jay Uso
He's a beast.
D.J. Wells
He got your homie, man. He a beast.
Jay Uso
He be whooping people, bro.
D.J. Wells
He really. He really. He really from the streets too. He really from there. But just all of us being in this big match together, it was just like, it's iconic, man.
Young Nacho
Yeah, the Royal Rumble was always fire, man. Yeah.
Jay Uso
Like, what's like some of your favorite Royal Rumble moments?
D.J. Wells
Like, I mean, they just showed it with my dad dancing with two girls and then he got rid of them both.
Jay Uso
Gangster. Like, my favorite moment. I got a couple of them. I mean, Kofi Kingston did a lot of stuff in the Rumble that I thought was exciting. But Shawn Michaels, when I first seen him tap the one foot, pull herself back up. That's when I first like fell into like love with the Royal Rumble. I'm like, ah, yeah.
D.J. Wells
It's a vibe that was like 90 something. Yeah.
Jay Uso
So I'm excited to see what's gonna happen at this rumble. Cause there's a lot of great people on this rumble. Like, you have cena in the Rumble.
D.J. Wells
And stuff like that. Who you think gonna win it, dude?
Jay Uso
Oh, no, I gotta tap in. I got.
D.J. Wells
Yo, you want Robin Roman reigns in there though.
Jay Uso
I know he eliminate at least 20.
Bishop B
Yeah.
Jay Uso
I'm like, he got 20 getting out of there on his own, so I know it should be exciting, man.
Young Nacho
Yeah, yeah.
D.J. Wells
I'm happy.
Bishop B
I'm excited.
D.J. Wells
I can't wait for you to see it, bro. Like live out there.
Jay Uso

D.J. Wells

Young Nacho
You talk about how you can hear all the people in the front. Have you ever been a part of a show where one of the fans running the crowd? Because I know they have Notorious mixtapes arrested, beating the sleeves off the fans and coming to crowd.
D.J. Wells
Hell yeah. Hey, that's a rule, bro. Like, if any. If anybody ever hops to the barricade, we're allowed and supposed to them. Yeah.
Young Nacho
So why do people want that?
Jay Uso
Why they want that? I don't think people realize how big the wrestlers are. Like, I didn't know that at first either. Like, when I first seen. Took my nephew, My oldest nephew backstage one time, and we met John Cena and these guys, and I looked at his forearm, and I was like, yeah, let me stop talking crazy. Cause these dudes is way bigger like him. Like, I ain't know you was that big of a person. Pause.
D.J. Wells
Nah, he big, bro. They're all big.
Jay Uso
I'm like, this crazy.
Young Nacho

Jay Uso
It's crazy.
Bishop B
Did you ever power bomb anybody, Mike?
Jay Uso
No.
Bishop B
How does that move go?
D.J. Wells
I'll show you.
Young Nacho
Is that on or off the court? He might use his parabolom off the bat.
Jay Uso
There's something wrong with him, bro. Y'all crazy.
