It was like waiting on ice cream truck. He just didn't come down our block, you know? So anytime my kids say, dad, can you do this? If I can't do it, no, I can't do it. But if I tell you I'm going

But he was in there watching my reels for two hours straight.

I would tell them, don't give up on yourself. You know what I'm saying? That's why I started my company. No self doubt, never doubt yourself. Don't let nobody tell you what you can't do, right? Cause it was the time my mom was telling me, like, it ain't gonna work. I was getting packages to my mama house that said, hi, Davis. She didn't know how Davis was, and he was living in her basement. You hear me? Real talk. So when he finally took off, I didn't give up on myself. I knew what I wanted to do, right? Don't give up. All the young people in the game who trying to come up, don't. Don't let nobody tell you what you can't do. Not even your mama. Nobody around, right? What you want to do? Follow your path.

You said buying your first house, you like, you know, you started running up, making a little money, and the one thing that you want is like, you know what? I want my own. I'm gonna get out my mama's basement. I'm gonna get my own place.

I tell the people around me all this time, this one, even outside me wanting to meet my brother, I was living with my Granddad. I was 18 years old, and I just graduated from high school. And I asked my granddad for $100 to buy some shoes. And that man told me, stop begging. I have not asked a man for a dime since that day. He told, you gotta stop all that begging, son. I ain't asked a man for a dollar, Shannon. Since that day. Another man tell you, stop begging.
