Nah, it was the thing. What happened? I got an audition for it. At first, I did an audition, and then I went to. I went to la. Dude audition.

And. And then I was on the road. I went back on the road. I had to go to Portland. The next day, I got a call back to go do the screen test with Kevin. So I had to leave the road for a day, go to la, and then I get to the hotel. It's. I mean, real celebrities, real stars in the waiting room. You know what I'm saying? Like, waiting to do the first of all. When I get there, I'm thinking to myself, oh, these real actors.

Yeah, I ain't.

This ain't for me. I ain't finna get nothing like this. You feel what I'm saying? And the funny thing is, like. I mean, I'm in that. Like, real celebrities, like, I mean, I would say, like, Drew Ski was there, and then a couple other people was there. I remember everybody was coming up to Drew saying, what's up to him? And stuff. And everybody was coming up to other people, saying, what's up to them?

One dude came up and I was like, hell, yeah. Finally. Like, somebody finally recognized me. And he was like, hey, bro, you know what a bathroom is?

And the first movie is like a true.

So this is your first. Was just your first screen test. Was this your first read?

That was my. I did one screen test. I did a screen test with Marcelo at first.

And then that was. That went. That went decent. But then I realized, like, everybody in. I'm telling you, everybody there was like real actors, dog. Like, they really knew what they was doing, right? And so I ain't never really, like, I do stand up, like, for real, but I ain't never getting to acting back then. So I was just so, like. So like, just lost. For real, you feel me?

Yeah. So what was your number one memory? Okay, you do the screen test with Kev, and so now they call you back and say you got the part.

So what was. What was that. What was that moment like? You like, damn, I'm just a stand up. I mean, I've been doing stand up and now I'm about to do. For real, for real, for real.

Moving. I remember I called my pops and I told them about it, and then I called my mom and stuff. I mean, it was like, it was surreal, but also like, man, you know, you put in the work and it's like, you know, that's what we working for. You feel me? And so it got to a point where it's like, now it's just time to just keep going. It's just now we starting for real. Now we really getting started.

Right? You know, so when you started. When you started, and we're gonna get to your standup career, but when you started, was that the natural transition? Because you see so many. You see Eddie Murphy, you see Richard Pry, you so many of these. Who else has done it? Said the entertainer. You see Mike Epps, you see so many take that step. And then he straight up just like, I ain't gonna lie to you, Cam. I ain't never seen like this before, so I don't know what to tell you. And that's kinda like how I've been Moving throughout my. I've been doing this five years, dawg. So it's a. You know, most comics that come through, they 2015. You feel what I'm saying? Five years in, to be this far one is a true blessing. But it's like I'm kind of navigating the whole space at, like, a different. A different pace.

Like, I wanna say toward the end of the movie, I was like, they want me to come screen test. I mean, they want me to come do it. Like an audition, right? And then I was like, all right, I'll go try. But even up to the. To the day I got the job, I ain't. I ain't think this was.
