Joe Hayden
I'm doing good, brother. Debo Another day, another dollar. But I ain't gonna lie to you. I am feeling some type of way. I couldn't wait.
James Debo Harrison
Some type of way, Joe. In a good.
Joe Hayden
In a good. In a good way.
James Debo Harrison
A good way. Hey, I'm. I ain't gonna lie to you, man. I'm feeling. I'm feeling some type of way the same way, you know what I'm saying?
Joe Hayden
You know?
James Debo Harrison
And, you know, I just. Just got back, you know, from getting, you know, like. Like a tub, getting some blood work done.
Joe Hayden
You know, you got to take care of the body.
James Debo Harrison
Hey, getting full physical, you know what I'm saying? Get everything checked out. You know, blood work ain't came back yet, but, you know, it's probably gonna be all right. You know, I did a DEXA scan. You know what a dexa scan is, right?
Joe Hayden
Yes.
James Debo Harrison
Okay, so you know that testing the body fat and all that, you know what I'm saying? It ain't. It ain't quite where I wanted to be, but, I mean, like, it's all right. Where you at? Where your body fit at, man?
Joe Hayden
You know, I'm. I'm trying to keep it in the single. I'm like. I'm like a nine. I'm like, yeah, when I was in the league, you know, it was crazy. I was three. I was three. Two, three, two, four.
James Debo Harrison
Yeah, that's crazy. Like, that.
Joe Hayden
Where you at right now, Debo?
James Debo Harrison
I ain't gonna lie. I'm a little disappointed. Like, it's like a 8. It's 8.2 on the DEXA, you know, Bro, that's.
Joe Hayden
That's. But that's good, Debo, you know what I'm saying? What you wearing, like, 252. Yeah, two. 250.
James Debo Harrison
251. You know, it is what it is. I'm just saying, bro. You know I'm saying. I'm just. I was hoping to get to, like, you know, maybe like 3%, you know, 3, 5 or something like that. You know what I'm saying?
Joe Hayden
Like, you gotta watch. You gotta do some diet. You doing the good dieting. You watching what you eat. That's what's gonna get the man, you.
James Debo Harrison
Know, I do what I could do when I could do it, you know what I'm saying? I mean, you had what, 9%? That's crazy.
Joe Hayden
I got.
James Debo Harrison
I'm gonna get you victim weight, right?
Joe Hayden
I'm 180 below 200.
James Debo Harrison
Yeah, that's victim weight, you know, and you. 9%. That's wild, though. That's crazy.
Joe Hayden
Look, Debo, don't be over here judging me.
James Debo Harrison
I'm just asking. I ain't, you know, I look good.
Joe Hayden
Get right fast.
James Debo Harrison
I just speak out loud. Things that go in my head, you know what I'm saying?
Joe Hayden
Sometimes I'm good on you.
James Debo Harrison
Hey, man, Joe, you know what they say, you know, a hit dog will holler, you know what I'm saying?
Joe Hayden
That's all I was, you know, Okay.
James Debo Harrison
I mean, I ain't saying that, you know, I'm. I'm just myself too, all that, you know, I'm disappointed in myself too, Joe. You know, I understand.
Joe Hayden
But when I see you at super bowl, we're gonna get to the gym.
James Debo Harrison
Disappointment, man. Like, they ain't. They. They ain't let. They ain't let Bill in.
Joe Hayden
They ain't let your boy Bill in.
James Debo Harrison
First ballot, bro.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, no. How do you feel about that, First? How do you feel about that, Debo? Hey, that's why I'm really feeling some type of way, honestly.
James Debo Harrison
Listen, listen, bro, if he ain't first, if he ain't first, who is who? I told you, now this is where they get a chance to get. They get back these writers. Bill wasn't the most media friendly cat out there, you know what I'm saying? You know, he didn't really like talking to him, and when he did his interviews, it was hard to understand. You had to really slow it down to see what he was saying. You know, communication was. Was real thin. Like, he had me so fooled that when I got to New England, bro, and you know, you got to sit down and talk to the coach, I'm like, damn, it's about to be interesting. I'mma. I'm gonna be up here trying to sort through what he's saying. You know, I need some. I need some. I need some of that words up, up underneath there so I can see, you know, understand what he's saying.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, yeah.
James Debo Harrison
How.
Joe Hayden
How was he, though? How was it?
James Debo Harrison
Total opposite. Yes, very clear, open, communicative. Dude, like, will tell you what he's thinking from A to Z, honest. Don't. Don't sugarcoat nothing. Like, total opposite of what it is that you see on. On tv, you know, Especially when he's talking just pure straight to the.
Joe Hayden
It's like, yeah, he don't have nothing to say. I'm not gonna give you nothing, because that's what. Like, that's. That's how he tro. Raised his team, and that's the way he is.
James Debo Harrison
Yeah, no, it's. It's nothing. Like that. And like I was saying before, this is where they get a chance to get their gift back.
Joe Hayden
Get back.
James Debo Harrison
I didn't like how he dealt with this. I didn't like how he dealt with that. Now you want to add on top, you know, they saying, oh, it was the spy gate and all that. Y' all should have really went into that back then. But, like, it's too late for that. Like, what he got, he got. He got. He got six as a head coach, another two as a assistant coach. This man got eight of them things.
Joe Hayden
Yes. Like what, what more do you want from this man? And, and when I look at it too, Debo, it's really pisses me off because it's. It's gatekeeping. It's. I don't like people like the Pro Football hall of Fame, the beat writers, the. These guys feeling like they got all of the power to be able to like you. It's what you do on the field. Your man, Bill Belichick, they allow some.
James Debo Harrison
Other stuff in there in the.
Joe Hayden
They allow a lot of other stuff in there. And. But then at the end of the day, if you want to say that he cheated for two of the Super Bowls or you don't like the way he talks to you, shut your mouth. It doesn't matter who are you? Nobody gives a who you are. That's Bill Belichick. We can't look at the games anymore. And you can't go back when you say you was this person remembered. We can't look at the history of the game. It's been 59 Super bowl champions. He's been in nine of those Super Bowls and won six of them and then two of them. If you want to say his assistant coach. So eight Super Bowls that he's won as the head coach has only been 59 of them. The gatekeeping, the people that like that don't. Those people. Somebody don't treat you the right way so you can try to get back at them. I hate those people. The people that didn't get picked and now they're rich and famous. So now they can just do certain things.
James Debo Harrison
Dude, they ain't even rich and famous.
Joe Hayden
I mean, not even rich and famous, but can keep you from something. But can keep you from something that is. That you worked for, that is legitimately yours. So everybody that has a right mind that can look at the pro football, watch his football, it's like this. If he's not a first ballot hall of Famer, who is? It takes all credibility away because you want to talk about, oh, no, we don't know who's else is going to get in. Show me your face, you bum. I don't care who else was not going to get in. Bill Belichick. You missed them on the other laugh. You missed them on the last time that they couldn't get in. But you going to tell me that this man with six ships isn't going to get in? Right now you're. You don't deserve a pick. You don't deserve a vote. And I want to see who you are because, like, it just makes the Pro Football hall of Fame look weak and look chumpish. Because I'm like, you going to tell all of these great players and like, even you, James, you don't think that you'd even deserve to be in the Hall. I do. I'm like, you changed the game in my opinion. I'm just speaking. Just take it.
James Debo Harrison
You.
Joe Hayden
The way you balled out, the way you. They know James Harris, you put people to sleep. That 100 yard interception in the super bowl, nobody ever did it. It's legit. You won ships and you've done things. So I'm like you saying you're not supposed to be in the super bowl. On hall of Fame, I could respect it because you can have some people to say, I don't know, maybe not. Maybe not first, he can get in, maybe a little later. But you got Bill Belichick here and we're sitting here like this. There's no question. You have six ships. You take away two of them, it doesn't matter. There's dudes that made first ballot hall of Fame. Coach Chuck, I think not. Chuck. No one. Coach Landry, two Super Bowls and he was first ballot hall of Fame. What are we talking about? I don't care if he's. If you try to. If you don't like him, he didn't treat you nice. Do you know how hard it is to win in the NFL?
James Debo Harrison
You.
Joe Hayden
They don't. You. Everybody just forgets. And then like just being able to have that longevity of teams and being able to like salary caps, being able to just get rid of players a year a little early before it's too late. He think it's sweet, like tough decisions. He's also the gm. You also put in my mind that he is his tree, the people that he puts into place. He had Nick Saban, Mike V, Brian Flores, Josh McDaniel, Matt Patricia, Joe Judge, Bill O', Brien, Eric Mangini. These are not just basic names. There's Been other, plenty other people. I'm just off the top, the first, like, eight. So he does that. He GMs. He's on point. He's able to run the teams. His. What he's done to this game, it makes me so upset that other people can take that away from him. I don't care if you don't like him. I don't care nothing about it. When you look at football, anybody, if he's not first ballot, there's no such thing as first ballot. It takes away the like. That's why I say there's different rooms. Mike Tomlin's going to make the hall of Fame eventually. Bill Belichick makes them hall of Fame, first ballot because he's the best to ever do it in our game. And if there's other coaches that have been in that made the first ballot, there's no way that he's not. You're tripping, you're bugging. You're taking away all your credibility. I'm looking at you goofy, like, how could you do that to this man? Everybody's looking at you like, who do you think you are?
James Debo Harrison
How.
Joe Hayden
Who do you Put a name on it Now, I want to see why you say that.
James Debo Harrison
You're going to say, you can't go that far, man. You can't go.
Joe Hayden
I want to. I want to.
James Debo Harrison
You can't go that far. Like, who voted for who? But I. I'll tell you what you can do.
Joe Hayden
What can you do?
James Debo Harrison
I believe, like, a lot of these cats go be around the super bowl around there. What you can do is you can go up and be like, yo, who'd you vote for? You can ask him. He. It's on him if you want to say or not. Because if it's me, and I voted for it.
Joe Hayden
Yes.
James Debo Harrison
Him to go in. I'm gonna be like, it wasn't me. I voted for him.
Joe Hayden
No. Yes. Yes. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
James Debo Harrison
Hey. I'm gonna get my name out the.
Joe Hayden
Mud, tell them the reasons why. And I've seen a reason why where.
James Debo Harrison
You ain't got to come up with no reason of legitimacy of to why no.
Joe Hayden
Like, I need to know why no. If there's a no why no. I heard one why. Know where there's other coaches, you know, like, they feel like the coaches need to be able to get in. This might be their last shot. Give me something. But still with that. I don't agree. But you give me a reason. Give me a reason. But I might not still agree with it because I'm like, this is. And I didn't even play for Bill Belichick. I don't like. I don't have a dog in a fight. But just from the outside perspective of looking at it, I'm like, this is crazy just to me of loving of the game and wanting the greatest people to be in there. I don't deserve to be in the hall of Fame. I. I don't. I didn't do enough. No impact nothing.
James Debo Harrison
If that is the. The criteria for first ballot, it should never be another first ballot hall of Famer.
Joe Hayden
It should always be somebody behind them.
James Debo Harrison
Ever in life.
Joe Hayden
For them, yes, ever in life.
James Debo Harrison
There should not be another first round. Like, no. No first ballot period.
Joe Hayden
I don't like the gatekeeping. I don't like if somebody can't.
James Debo Harrison
You can't. You can't go to the. Like, hey, y' all gotta say, say who you for. Show who it is. Now I do believe you should know who are the. The voting members? Yeah, each year like, yo, the name should be out like the. These are the 50 that's voting. Yeah, yeah. I. I think that that should be something that. That goes on. But actually, like, because if you want.
Joe Hayden
If you voting for.
Nav Green
If you in that.
Joe Hayden
If you're in that room. No, Debo. If you're in that room and. And you're making the vote, shouldn't you want to stand on your vote? Like, unless you feel like you're doing it for reasons that are not.
James Debo Harrison
Hey, again. Listen, listen. You helped me not let to win. I won't. Hey, I want you to help me not let him. Or I helped you not let to in on his first one, which he should have been first. Why don't you. You go help me not let get Bill get in on his first. Because I feel like the cheating was this or whatever it may be. They got fine did whatever all the other stuff. And yeah, they swept it on the road. But still, like, he got. He got six. Five more after that. He got. He got. He got eight all together. Like, come on, bro. Like, what is the whole issue with. Other than it being something personal? Because if you sitting there and you standing there and it's like, okay, numbers is telling me is this. Is that you gotta add something. You gotta add something personal in there. And like this. Hey, ain't no phone. The rabbit got the gun, man. The rabbit had the gun.
Joe Hayden
Ain't no fun. And build the relationships. I could see just not talking to people, just not being interactive. And these are writers and media people that he could have blatantly just like, man, whatever. Like, not answering their questions. He's been real, real, real going hard in those interviews. Like when you watch them, like, God dang, He just carried that person, like, not really giving them answers. So you can see how somebody.
James Debo Harrison
Well, you got that.
Joe Hayden
Like you said, I'm go get my get back.
James Debo Harrison
Then you got a bunch of writers, dude. Like, I feel like the guys that should vote, who gets in should be the guys that's in there. Like, let's kill all these members. First ballot guys should vote for first ballot guys. If you get enough first ballot guys to vote for, for you as a first ballot, you go. Because they in there, they know what it is. They know what to take. They ain't gonna go ahead and dilute it or put somebody in there just because, oh, he was nice. Yeah, Keep somebody in there or keep somebody from out of there just because he wasn't nice to the media. No. Like, it's gonna be the standard of play.
Joe Hayden
Here's play.
James Debo Harrison
That's it. And this coaching and your coaching is what your results are. How many, how many championships did you get? Like, all that. What, what is the. You know, what, what does your, what does your lineage look like? How was your, your coaching passed down? What your coaching tree look like? Like, if you were that good of a coach, you should have a whole thing going on. Like, all that. Like, dude, I don't, I don't understand it.
Joe Hayden
I don't understand it. I don't understand it. I don't like it. I just don't like when people are good enough for something and somebody can hold something from you that doesn't have like, valid, valid reasons. Or even when we say, like, tio, you know, the Shield wants to protect the Shield. They want you to be as clean cut and everything. But like, with tl, he didn't do anything with the law. He was in trouble with the law. It's like his numbers are unbelievable. You just don't like the way he makes you feel like he rubs you the wrong way. Shut your mouth. Like, you sound like a child. Do you know what I'm saying? Like, this dude, he wasn't. He didn't like, disrespect you. He didn't put his hands on. He did not do nothing. He's a law abiding citizen. He's a law abiding citizen. You just don't like the way he rubs you the wrong way. Get out of here. Like, and then that could be some reason why people don't get him in like, no, we gonna make him wait just because. You know what I'm saying? We didn't like the way he acted.
James Debo Harrison
No.
Joe Hayden
I just can't stand that part. He's good enough. He did not do nothing with the law. And if you want to take the weight from Bill Belichick, the thing I would say was, like, the gates, they had like, the spy gate and the Deflategate. Take away those two. Take away two years of everything. What? And he still has four ships. He still has everything. And then he still was doing at such a long time. He's also the general manager. He's also the special teams guy. He's also has his hands in every basket. So when you tell me, like, there's other coaches that made the hall of Fame for sure, but this dude right here did at such a high level. And I'm saying this from afar, just watch. I'm like, dude, he's one of the best coach I've ever seen in my life. Because just the rotation, the different amount of players, the way that he's doing it.
James Debo Harrison
What.
Joe Hayden
What is it to talk about?
James Debo Harrison
That's something that I recognized when I got there, dude. We had, like, so many different personnel, a defense, dude, and he was going to put in there who he felt had the best opportunity to execute what needed to be done on that defense in that specific, you know, personnel. And you'd have, you know, two guys go out. You have six guys go out. You may have one guy just flipping. Like, he made sure he matched his ability of his players to the job that they needed to do. Like, he didn't try and make it fit. Oh, I know you are a, you know, whatever, but I'm a play. I'm a play. You as a, you know, as a corner, even though you. You're better as a safety, you know.
Joe Hayden
He didn't play you as safety.
James Debo Harrison
Yes. He's going. He's going to put it where he can get the best out of you. And I think he had a. He had a knack of actually being able to do that because, like, when I got there, dude, I was on, like, one thing. He was like, okay, yeah, so you could do this, do that, da, da, da. By the end we got to the super bowl, dude, I was on everything but one. Like, and he puts, like I said. And that's what he does. Like, yeah, but him not getting in, that's what you call egregious.
Joe Hayden
That's egregious.
James Debo Harrison
That. Yeah, that.
Joe Hayden
That's agree.
James Debo Harrison
That's. That's that's very egregious. That's what happens when you let these media writers and all that hold all the power. But yet when it comes to Pro bowl, you give it to the fans, you give it to the coaches, and you give it to the players. But when it comes to hall of Fame, you give it all to somebody who got a score to settle and the flaws of everything. Because I'm the media person. I didn't like how you did this. I didn't like how you did that. And on top of that, most of them aren't true historians of the game. They would have knew that if you didn't let this man in, it's going to be blowback.
Joe Hayden
That's what I'm saying.
James Debo Harrison
How do you not realize that.
Joe Hayden
That everybody, like all the hall of Famers, everybody understands it. Like, if. If you watch football, if you do.
James Debo Harrison
Even people, that's like, yeah, okay, so what? He cheated. You know, take. Take that. You know, take this, like.
Joe Hayden
And I take it he got his.
James Debo Harrison
Punishment from the league. What else do you want?
Joe Hayden
Yes, yes. Consistency and just doing it for this.
James Debo Harrison
When they say, you know what? The league ain't do it right. And it's my time to make. You know what? Ha.
Joe Hayden
Y' all ain't want to do it. I'mma keep his ass out.
James Debo Harrison
I'mma keep him out. Hey, Joe, I need you to vote with me on this. Let's get 7, 8 more. So he only get 39 instead of 40.
Joe Hayden
That's what I'm saying. Cahoots. Look, you. You, yes, man. Shut your mouth. Vote for the man. It had to be. And the thing. What we said, too. Who. And if you didn't. That's what you said, Debo, you don't want to see. You don't think. People gotta be able to show their votes, but if you like your vote and if you believe in why you voted for him or you have a legitimate reason, give it to us then. Cause I just don't. I mean, it just throws me off because it's not supposed to be. Who's the 11? It had to be 11 out of the 50. So, I mean, that's. I mean, you only needed 80%. He needed 40 out of 50 votes. He obviously get 11.
James Debo Harrison
Did he get 39 or did he get less than 39?
Joe Hayden
I don't know. They're not telling us, Deebo. They just giving us just the. He didn't get 80%. So did he get more than 50? Did he get 65?
James Debo Harrison
Hey, we should at least have the numbers.
Joe Hayden
They ain't giving us nothing. They just telling us he didn't get 80.
James Debo Harrison
The numbers. You gotta at least have the numbers, man.
Joe Hayden
Bruh, those. Whoever didn't, I mean, give us the real thing is it was what.
James Debo Harrison
What they say it was a leak that this even got out.
Joe Hayden
Yeah. Then, look, that's how they get to trying to cover it up. They. They mad that we don't.
James Debo Harrison
Hey, somebody like, no, y' all ain't about to put me in this. Hey, leak it out there. I voted for him. The hell with that.
Joe Hayden
They talking about they're gonna figure out. They're gonna go through their process and about getting it out. The dudes that was voting for Bill Belichick that saw, they was like, oh, these mothers about to go crazy. I'm telling. I'm snitching.
James Debo Harrison
Will be taken to remove members of the committee. Hey, y' all got every. Every last one of them that voted no on that. If you do not remove them, you are just feeding a crock of bullshit. That should have been 50, 50, 50, 50. Whoever voted no remove. They remove them. Almost.
Joe Hayden
Yeah. It's all good. It's all good. We feel some type of way, I think.
James Debo Harrison
Oh, man. Bruh.
Joe Hayden
It's just crazy.
James Debo Harrison
Abrah, let's go on over here and see what y' all got going on in Cleveland. Yes. Listen, they went on ahead and got your boy over there. Was it Todd Monkin?
Joe Hayden
Yes, sir.
James Debo Harrison
They didn't gave him the job over there. And they. They obviously let your boy know. And the report said that Jim was visibly upset saying his goodbyes in the building and told each and told other coaches that he ain't coming back. Yeah. Ain't coming back. Hey, Joe. What, what, what. What's going on with your team, Joe? Do you. Do you. Do you. Do you. Do you like this hire? What you thinking, Joe? Tell me.
Joe Hayden
I'm having split emotions because Jim Swartz, he was hooping for us. Obviously, Miles Garrett loved him, had the defense turning up. We love him there. But now we obviously need an offensive. We obviously need an offensive coach. I was hoping that we could be able to, if we weren't hiring Jim at the head coach, that we were able to get him that keep them. But now since we're not able to keep him, I. I don't. I don't know how I feel. I like that. Todd Monken. Did you see the introduction he had with Shador when he saw him like, oh, we wanted to draft you in. In Baltimore. Did you See that? Okay, so that makes me give. I'm happy about that because we do need a coach there that's interested in making the best case scenario and helping Shador be successful. So I'm liking the vibes, I'm liking the energy him embracing. But now I'm just looking at it like, okay, I'm happy for the offense, but the defense. Jim Swartz was one thing that I was like, no matter what, I want to keep him here because the team loves him. We've been fighting for him. Him at head coach would have been dope. And then we just had to get.

Hey there.
Dr. Jesse Mills
This is Dr. Jesse Mills, director of the Men's Clinic at UCLA Health and host of the Mail Room Podcast. Each January, guys everywhere make the same resolutions. Get stronger, work harder, fix what's broken. But what if the real work isn't physical at all? To kick off the new year, I sat down with Dr. Steve Poulter, a psychologist with over 30 years experience helping men unpack shame, anxiety and emotional pain they were never taught to name. In a powerful two part conversation, we discuss why men aren't emotionally bulletproof, why shame hides in plain sight, and how real strength comes from listening to yourself and to others.
James Debo Harrison
Guys who are toxic, they're immature, or they've got something they just haven't resolved. Once that gets resolved, then there comes empathy and some compassion.
Dr. Jesse Mills
If you want this to be the year you stop powering through pain and start understanding what's underneath, listen to the mailroom on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your favorite shows.

You get your podcast Fire offensive coordinator Todd Monkin Odman cool with Jim Swahead and then Todd Mungan. I don't know if he would have took the offensive coordinator so I don't know how the organization tried to work that out. I hope the Todd Monkin works. I'm happy that he's gonna bring it in. Offensive mind trying to get us playing score points. We need that badly. I just want to make sure we can don't lose one for the other. We have a defense we had Jim running them. Them dudes were firing. We had, like, number one defense in the league.
James Debo Harrison
So if we can still or not. It didn't finish there, but go ahead.
Joe Hayden
It didn't finish there, but, you know, we were on pace. Fulio. So we just need to make sure we bring another good, good defensive coordinator here. Miles Garrett. Sending the picture of the lady outside of the Popeye stress. I feel you, Miles. It's just so much rotation, and when you finally feel like you got a good coach here, they swipe them onto your feet. So that's why he's stressed. He's a little pissed off about it, but Miles gonna ball. Miles gonna do what Miles got to do regardless. Look at Miles. Just, just. I feel you. It's been a long time. You had a good coach. Now you're stressed. Now you're outside of Popeyes stressed. So, Miles, I just need you to come with that energy. I hope we get a good defensive coordinator for you. But I'm happy about Monkin in a way that I saw that he came in. He's ready to embrace. He has done good with offenses with Lamar, so hopefully the offense does good. And Miles gets up off the bench with the Popeyes. Jo. And gets his. Gets his vibes.
Dr. Jesse Mills
Right.
James Debo Harrison
So for me, personally, me, personally, I don't think I would have hired either one of them as head coach. Okay. I see what Monking did over there in Baltimore. He really wasn't smart enough to even utilize what he had. He had a powerhouse over there. You got your running back sitting on the side. I don't know. All this switching back and forth.
Joe Hayden
But.
James Debo Harrison
With that being said and now knowing how you said the team felt about Jim Schwartz.
Joe Hayden
Yes.
James Debo Harrison
And how well he did do with the defense, that would make me at least have to give him an opportunity to go on in there and do it. Especially. I don't know if they talk. Obviously, they didn't talk to Schwartz before they made the decision on how he would feel if he would stay. All that other stuff, because I think.
Joe Hayden
He was just going. Trying to get the straight head coaching job.
James Debo Harrison
Right.
Joe Hayden
Right.
James Debo Harrison
Again, this is the Haslams making a decision based on what it is they want. Like, you got coaches writing essays, you got them taking tests and all kind of crazy stuff. Somebody.
Joe Hayden
Todd.
James Debo Harrison
This is how you get a better coach, and this is how it happens on paper. Something that's. That's. That's measurable. And they're used to running a business and looking at numbers, looking at things on paper, things that are measurable because understand the intangibles of hiring a football coach. And what you need, you can't get that on paper. And the number one thing you need when you hiring a coach is you need your players to buy in. And you had that right there.
Joe Hayden
Damn sure did.
James Debo Harrison
They have to believe in the coach that you hire. They have to believe he can lead the team. They have to have respect for him, or at least something type of something for him. So again, your GM wanted something else, your team wanted something else, and you went and went with whatever the hell it was that y' all wanted. And now, yeah, you're gonna lose your D.C. yeah, he's going to be gone. There's no way he's going to stay there. But they're thinking, you know what, he's under contract. He can't go anywhere. Nah, no. It's ways around all that. Yeah. Contract is what it is. But it's gonna be so dysfunctional around so many issues going on, and on top of it, you're still going to have him there with the players that admire him and are like, coach, you should be head coach. And then the first loss, the. The man, the dysfunction that the Browns organization is going to have, it already has. Okay. But what it will be after that.
Joe Hayden
Man, let me tell you something. If. What I hope Jim Swartz keeps his professionalism, because if they got it, if he's under contract and he don't, he don't. Can't go nowhere. I think the defense will still be great. If somehow, Deebo, you said he comes back, I would be ecstatic. He only got one year left on his deal. He's a professional. He's not going to come and just try to start Ruckus.
James Debo Harrison
He ain't gonna start Ruckus.
Joe Hayden
But I promise, like, you know, you say this yourself, too. We're in control of our jobs. And what we do is we come in there. You keep talking about the Steelers, man, I don't care what the offense does. What's our job? Not let them get in the end zone. And if they don't get in the end zone, then we win the damn game. You say that to me all the time. And I'm listening. So now just say we get Jim Schwartz back. He's a professional, don't score and we win. And it makes him look better. So what does he do? Go out there and just be shitty and then make us lose? No, go out there and give eggs and then he go get another head coaching job. So hopefully. Hopefully.
James Debo Harrison
Yay.
Joe Hayden
Hey, Are you catching what I'm putting down?
James Debo Harrison
I catching what you're putting down, but. So this is a totally different situation. He comes in there, say he's able to be like, you know what? I'mma swallow all the stuff. I'mma go and come back and I'm a coach. My guys, I'm going to do it to the best of my ability. And we go out there and we stand up as a defense, offense, don't do nothing, and we come out of there with a worse record than we did last year.
Joe Hayden
Then we fire and tight.
James Debo Harrison
Still, we hiring. I still do not get an opportunity because you never wanted me, so why would I even stay there that you didn't even want to give me a chance after what I done did and how the players feel about me? I have to. You have to have the players buy in. That's the biggest thing. The players don't have no respect for you. They, they, they, they.
Joe Hayden
They don't even. Like, they were talking about the owner.
James Debo Harrison
I'm talking about Shorts. They believe in him, dude.
Joe Hayden
They believe in him. Yes, yes.
James Debo Harrison
Like, they believe in him. You got. You got somebody coming. And now on top of that, he's thinking that he's just going to step in, and he done went through the whole process of all the BS and, And doing whatever it is that y' all want to do. He thinking. He aligned for it.
Joe Hayden
Yeah.
James Debo Harrison
You got everybody in their mama withdrawing from this dropping out. And then you go with who it is that you want as the owner that has no knowledge of football, obviously, because you ain't been able to get nothing right. You go against your GM and your team. The GM wanted what shoe house? The. The Rams shield house.
Joe Hayden
The.
James Debo Harrison
The Rams coordinator, dude. Okay, like, and the team wanted. They wanted Shorts. Like, come on, bro. What we doing?
Joe Hayden
You know, man, they see, hey, it's my team.
James Debo Harrison
That's.
Joe Hayden
Hey, that's what.
James Debo Harrison
Yes. We about to let the inmates run to jail.
Joe Hayden
All right. You're not gonna let the inmates run the asylum. I'm the billionaire here. That's what he's telling. That's what he's saying. He's the billionaire.
James Debo Harrison
But you don't want to win.
Joe Hayden
I mean, I hope so. I would hope so, but.
James Debo Harrison
Listen, man, y' all can't. You ain't gonna get those intangibles on paper. They ain't got nothing to compute. And, and, and, and, and, and draw that up, and it don't. It don't work. You can't.
Joe Hayden
Man, listen, like, defense still.
James Debo Harrison
Listen. You Get a new D coordinator and the defense tank is over with. They might. They might burn Cleveland down.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, that's what they can't. Defense can't go down.
James Debo Harrison
And you go do that to your defensive mvp, huh? Yeah. You ain't getting that, man. What?
Joe Hayden
That's what I'm saying.
James Debo Harrison
Hopefully I knew y'. All.
Joe Hayden
Hopefully the defense.
James Debo Harrison
Y' all was dysfunctional, but this. This is out of control, Joe.
Joe Hayden
Nah, man. Yeah. They just know we needed something on offense for show. I'm just trying to figure what Jimmy was thinking. We needed to make sure somehow the offense is going to get better. Defense is who it is. We still got them same players, so we're going to bring in another coach.
James Debo Harrison
The office is going to get better.
Joe Hayden
Yes.
James Debo Harrison
Because he was able to get the most out of the offense. He had.
Joe Hayden
No, I'm talking about the quarterbacks. I'm not even talking about the whole offensive. He's going to develop, and we're going to be able to get Shador. Right. And our office is going to be looking better.
James Debo Harrison
The Ravens offense wouldn't have did that.
Joe Hayden
He could have did a better job with.
James Debo Harrison
And you might have actually keeping Schwartz if you had talked to him and be like, yo, we really, you know, now we're looking at this side of the, you know, his office. We want to go and. And do this right here. We thinking it's going to be a better move for the team. We still here. They obviously did not talk to this man before this process or before this move was made.
Joe Hayden
No, they just get. Yeah, no, I'm with you. Because they probably just gave him that. He thought he was gonna get a head coaching job there, and they didn't.
James Debo Harrison
Give him a head up. Like, hey, hey. Moving in a different direction. We. We think, like, come on.
Joe Hayden
We. We still want you aboard. Maybe not the head, but we still want you on the ship.
James Debo Harrison
You could have made him. You could have made him. You could have made him D. The. The.
Joe Hayden
The assistant. And, yes, assistant head coach.
James Debo Harrison
Bam.
Joe Hayden
So if hits give him a title, give him a good title. Give him a little pay grade.
James Debo Harrison
That way he knows if this don't work out, I gotta be next in line. I'm assistant head.
Joe Hayden
And a little raise. A little raise pink just to let him know. A little title and a little raise, right? I would have kept them.
Nav Green
Damn.
James Debo Harrison
Yeah, y'. All. Boo Boo over there, man. I ain't gonna lie to you, bro.
Joe Hayden
All right, Debo.
James Debo Harrison
Next. Y' all doing that.
Joe Hayden
Next. Next.
James Debo Harrison
I'm just saying, y' all doing Bad over in the streets, man.
Joe Hayden
We gonna see.
James Debo Harrison
They say, man, that's bull. They talking about. Listen, they talking about McCarthy. He's. He definitely wants Aaron back. That's not true.
Joe Hayden
Did you watch, right?
James Debo Harrison
Hey, Joe, I ain't gonna lie to you.
Joe Hayden
Did you watch?
James Debo Harrison
Yes. Hold up, Joe. You know I watched.
Joe Hayden
How do you.
James Debo Harrison
I ain't gonna lie to you. I changed. Here comes McCarthy.
Joe Hayden
Yeah.
James Debo Harrison
I ain't gonna lie to you, right? It took. It took. I changed. Yeah, because you know, you know, you know me. I'm a gmo.
Joe Hayden
You're ghetto. You're ghetto. And you're very, very harsh sometimes because you reactionary. You go attack. You were that very reactionary. I'm looking at the joint. Me and my lady, I'm looking at it. We looking at the same thing. And you text me, is this crying? I'm like. I'm like, deebo. I'm. I'm literally looking at.
James Debo Harrison
Like this. Okay, Joe, here, here. Shut your mouth.
Joe Hayden
No, shut your mouth.
James Debo Harrison
Yes, exactly. That's why I want you to say, what exactly did I take?
Joe Hayden
Because I'm looking at it with my wife. You could use ninja, and I'm gonna use ninja. Real time. Real time. I'm watching it, and me and my wife, I'm trying to figure out what I'm gonna say. I'm looking at it, and he's legitimately getting choked up. So I'm like, oh, my God. Like, dang, he's from Pittsburgh. And now when I'm first hearing McCarthy talk, I'm like, he has that Pittsburgh accent. He sounds like Pittsburgh. So I'm really looking. He's like. Like, just. His family's there. He's getting emotional. You know what I'm saying? I'm low key. Almost getting a little choked up for him. Me and my wife. My wife is like, I love this man. I'm like this, okay? I'm rocking with it. Because at least I know he has passion. He legitimately feels it in his heart. I look at my phone, bing. Debo, is this Ninja crying? I was like, sarah, something's wrong with Devo. He's a bully. Me and my wife are almost about to, like, have a. A little bit of tears.
James Debo Harrison
Oh, my God.
Joe Hayden
Like, this gonna be good. I say, sarah, something's wrong with Debo. Something is wrong with him. He's like, is this ninja crying? I'm like, oh, my God.
James Debo Harrison
TBO has no soul.
Joe Hayden
Has no soul.
James Debo Harrison
Hey, listen, Joe, hold up. Joe, hold up.
Joe Hayden
Oh, bro.
James Debo Harrison
Oh, Joe, hold up.
Joe Hayden
Joe.
James Debo Harrison
I changed. I changed, Joe.
Joe Hayden
Joe, listen, I was laughing and crying so hard at you, cuz I'm sitting watching the joint. I'm like this. Yeah, okay, McCarthy, I say, oh, my gosh, he feels it in his heart, like saying his. His family there. You know what I'm saying? Like, he's so Pittsburgh.
Nav Green
This to crying.
Joe Hayden
I say, debo, get off my line. I couldn't even hit you back.
James Debo Harrison
I couldn't even hit you back.
Joe Hayden
I couldn't get you back. I was like, listen, let him.
James Debo Harrison
Let him sit on it for a second. So go ahead, go ahead. All right, listen, I had time.
Joe Hayden
Oh, my God.
James Debo Harrison
I had time to reflect after I sent you that initial text. That's why when you finally got back to me, I didn't say nothing. Oh, so you know me. I'm. I'm a react. Yeah, I react, man. That's why we can't do nothing live, man, because I got a natural reaction, man.
Joe Hayden
Yes.
James Debo Harrison
I'm slow in my walk. I'm young.
Joe Hayden
It takes you time. You gotta. Yeah, right.
James Debo Harrison
So. So, you know, like I said, I reacted.
Joe Hayden
Yes.
James Debo Harrison
And I said, you know what? Some said, hey, James, slow down, slow down.
Joe Hayden
Let's. Let's. Let's listen to it. This.
James Debo Harrison
This would have did, though, for me. It brought to mind the book of James where it says, you must be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
Joe Hayden
Yes.
James Debo Harrison
So I say, all right, Joe, let me chill, let me calm down, let me go back. And you know what it did? It brought to mind my hall of honor induction with the Steelers. And I ain't gonna lie, I dropped a few tears, okay?
Joe Hayden
Cause you were a real one.
James Debo Harrison
Cause you care. And the reason I dropped those tears, it really came down to this. So I'm thanking the fam. I'm working through it. I'm thanking the fans. You know, I'm thinking my teammates.
Joe Hayden
Yes, yes, coaches.
James Debo Harrison
I'm thinking my family. And then I get to my sons, right? And I look and I look, I see James, my oldest son, and he got tears going down his face.
Joe Hayden
Oh, my goodness. This is a wrap then, right? It's over for me.
James Debo Harrison
So I'm looking, I'm looking at Henry, and I'm trying my best not to cry right now. And I see his eyes filled up, right? And I couldn't fake it no more. Guess because they was crying the tears of joy that I was trying to hold.
Joe Hayden
Yes, it's joy, really, because they knew.
James Debo Harrison
They knew what it meant to me. They knew the respect and. And admiration that I had for those men that were in that hall of fame before me.
Joe Hayden
Yep.
James Debo Harrison
You know what I'm saying? Yeah. It's like, like, like, like Joe Green, Mel Blunt. Historic linebackers, bro. You're talking about Lambert, Ham, Lloyd, Kevin Green, and like, these dudes are here. Like, like it was, it was. Yeah. It was guys there in the room. And the greatest accomplishment, dude, that you could get from one of those guys back then in the old day was you could have played with us. That was the greatest accomplishment that you could get. And now I was being put in the same room with these men. And then for you, in that moment, it was validation. Right. So now I said, you know what? Let me go back and watch this interview again. And listen, his family is in the front row.
Joe Hayden
That's what kept. He got. Can't even look right.
James Debo Harrison
They know what it means to him. Okay. And how much respect and admiration he has for the Steelers organization and the men that represented that organization since he was a kid. Yep. And that's. You know what I'm saying? And that's what really got me to thinking, bro. Yeah. Like, I'm sitting there and I'm like, maybe. Ah. Not maybe. I know I reacted way too fast. Yeah.
Joe Hayden
When I was watching the joint, bro. And end of the day, when you think about stuff too, like, he is a. Like, his resume does speak for itself. When Omar and them were asking, they were like, what made you want to bring in Carthy? Talk about his resume. And he legitimately does have a resume. Great offensive mind. 9. And when I'm listening to him, he seems like he. He like the passion. Like, it doesn't seem like he's. Like, it wasn't fake. It wasn't fronted. It wasn't. It was legit. And what you want from your coach, too, is passion. I feel like his understanding of the Steelers and the in the city and the people. He knows what he needs to do. He knows what he needs to bring. Like, all of that. Like, he's not out there. He doesn't. This, this is a real thing that he knows he's going to have to come in here, but he's ready. And he's so, like, appreciative and accepting and ready for the challenge. I'm a real emotional person, so when I'm sitting there watching, you can't fake that stuff. That doesn't mean he's going to be a great coach by any means. I'm not saying that's going to take away, but when you talk about having somebody that cares and a want to and it has not. Like, his track record is terrible. No. He's been able to produce and do things the right way. So from that perspective of having him in the locker room, you doing the right X's and O's, making the offense be good. You know what I'm saying? The one thing I did was I was listening about the defense. I didn't really know when he's saying, like, he wants to kind of keep it the same way, dude. I'm like, I'm. I. I hear you, but I kind of need, like.
James Debo Harrison
I think he said like three, four. He want to keep like, three, four.
Joe Hayden
Okay, okay, okay, okay.
James Debo Harrison
I understand that.
Joe Hayden
You understand it. I. I just. I just want to make sure. I'm like, dude, I. I just need you. And then whoever comes here, we need the same voice and everything. So as long as you got that a little bit, maybe a little different than I did. But everybody, yeah, I got offense. Yeah, him. He got me. I was like, hey, I'm here.
James Debo Harrison
That's what I'm trying to tell you, Joe. I ain't gonna lie to you, man. He. He got me to flip, bro, because this. This wasn't just another head coaching job for him, bro.
Joe Hayden
Yes, this was his.
James Debo Harrison
This was the head coach.
Joe Hayden
This was the job. This was the job.
James Debo Harrison
First thing he said is when we bring that seventh Lombardi Trophy back where he was, Go start the victory parade, bro. And knows. He knows number one goal of this organization is championships. So everything that he's going to do, he's going to do with ever he needs to do within his power to make sure he can make that happen. And now I see why, Mr. Rooney, why little Dan, I call him because they'd be a little Dan to me. I see why Omar hired him. Yes, this is the right man for the job. And no, that doesn't guarantee he will succeed. But I know he's going to do everything, man, to make sure that he does succeed. It switched me to all in Joe. Again, as you said, he's an offensive. He's an offensive coach. First thing he said was like, yo, defense wins championships. He will play the 3, 4. And then he said, I'm. I'm calling the plays on offense. You know this right now, it ain't going to know who calling the plays.
Joe Hayden
I love that.
James Debo Harrison
Oh, the old coordinator is with the name. But I'm doing it at. No, I'm doing it.
Joe Hayden
It's me. It's right here.
James Debo Harrison
Right here. It's what it's gonna be. Yep.
Joe Hayden
I love that.
James Debo Harrison
And the Fact that he gave Aaron Rodgers credit. Now they're trying to say, oh, that's. He wants. No, I gave Aaron.
Joe Hayden
Roger.
James Debo Harrison
Everybody gave Rogers character. They should because it was him. Like, that was the reason. But he also said, we're going to talk and see what happens and see if it works out that it fits for us. It fits us, not Aaron.
Joe Hayden
If it's the organization, if it's us.
James Debo Harrison
Trying to win the seventh championship, we go know within the next month and month period.
Joe Hayden
Yep, I'm rocking with Adibo. I feel like he wants. He's ready. He knows, like you say, he's going to bring everything he possibly can to try to win a. Win a Super bowl. And he knows this is his spot. This is his landing spot. This is the job he wanted. He didn't want to go. Like, I think he. Him landing here. He couldn't be any happier. And that's. I don't think you could really. You can't fake those emotions. You know what I'm saying? Like, that was legit family there, being from there. And I don't know, dude, but I love it.
James Debo Harrison
He said when I bring. When we bring the seventh Lombardy, he knows what it's about. It ain't lip service. It ain't none of that. It's the seventh Lombardi period. We ain't getting all this. Rah, rah, Boo, boo. This, that. No, it's championships. It's the Steelers. He knows what it is. He been there. He been raised on it. He saw all the Steel Curtain, everything. It's championships and nothing less.
Joe Hayden
Yep, I'm rocking. I'm rocking with McCarthy. I ain't gonna lie to you.
James Debo Harrison
Matter of fact, he just hired Patrick Graham as the defensive coordinator. Okay. Got him over there in green bay in 18. I guess he was in. What is that? Looks like the Raiders.
Joe Hayden
The Raiders defensive coordinator the past three.
James Debo Harrison
Seasons he was with the Raiders. What the Raiders defense look like? Well, the offense was. Boo. Boo. I think that was the only thing that was good.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, the deep. The defense was straight. And because they know Mad Max.
James Debo Harrison
Hey, Chad, what the Raiders defense look like?
Joe Hayden
What the Raiders defense was ranked.
James Debo Harrison
Tell me something. Yeah, looking at. He got. He got. He got him a decent one. He got him a decent lineage over here, though, for sure. You got. What is that? Six, seven. Six years going back, coordinating.
Joe Hayden
The decord 20.
James Debo Harrison
19 going back to 19.
Joe Hayden
We gonna see. Man, I didn't know how good the Raiders get 20 was, but I know Mad Max was out there hooping.
James Debo Harrison
Listen, I'm gonna guarantee you this I know they did. First conference he had. He ain't bringing nobody in here that the guys ain't gonna look at, understand and have a, and have a understanding that, yo, it's gonna be buy in because he knows the job can get done with the people he bringing in. He ain't bringing in nothing less.
Joe Hayden
I think that's what they were saying too about the Raiders defense. The Raiders defense had the cheapest defense in the league. So he was doing good.
James Debo Harrison
The Raiders did more with less.
Joe Hayden
They did more with less. He didn't have a lot of money over there. And now, I mean, we got some, we got some ball players over on our side, so hopefully just the talent that we got could be able to help him out. And it's about to be them contract.

Dr. Jesse Mills
It's about engineering consciousness.
Podcast Narrator
Mind Games is the story of nlp, its crazy cast of disciples, and the fake doctor who invented it at a new age commune and sold it to guys in suits. He stood trial for murder and got acquitted. Hey there.
Dr. Jesse Mills
This is Dr. Jesse Mills, director of the Men's Clinic at UCLA Health and host of the Mailroom podcast.
Dr. Jesse Mills
If you want this to be the year you stop powering through pain and start understanding what's unique underneath. Listen to the mailroom on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your favorite shows.

He ain't too far behind. He did all this talking.
Joe Hayden
What Matthew Stafford is doing statistically, bro is crazy.
Nav Green

On June 11, 1998, a deputy from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department went missing. It's an all out manhunt for John Ajay. Every search and rescue team in LA county has been called in to help. Within days, tips started flooding into the Sheriff's department. The rumor around the drug scene was that a deputy was taken care of. Is this the story of a man who just got lost in the desert? Or of a cover up inside the nation's largest sheriff's department?
Joe Hayden
A homicide captain saying, detective, do not.
James Debo Harrison
Find out if this guy's guilty or innocent.
Joe Hayden
Who does that?
Podcast Narrator
That Valley of Shadows, a new series from Pushkin Industries about crime and corruption in California's high desert. Do you have any advice for us while looking into this disappearance?
James Debo Harrison
I wouldn't do it alone.
Podcast Narrator
Listen to Valley of shadows on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
James Debo Harrison
It said random so so but better than us. Y' all disrespectful, man.
Joe Hayden
Nah D, bro, you online. You see?
James Debo Harrison
Hey, I told you we was bad.
Joe Hayden
We was. We was bad. We was in the 20 sums.
James Debo Harrison
Yeah, we, we ended. We finished 25th. I think we finished 25th offense finished 26. Like y' all said I was hating the whole time. Oh, James is hating because the Steelers caught it. No, no. If the truth hurts, let the pain flow, period. Get out your feelings. Get in them numbers. The numbers will tell you the truth. Numbers will tell you the truth.
Joe Hayden
Right?
James Debo Harrison
We're going to do some women live with. Numbers don't lie.
Joe Hayden
Joey Porter Jr. Up on this deal. Herbic up on his deal.
James Debo Harrison
Little peasy up already.
Joe Hayden
Peasy about to get a. I think he about to. He's about to be up.
James Debo Harrison
Ah, he got one more. He was. Oh, he was second.
Joe Hayden
He was second round, wasn't he?
James Debo Harrison
Yeah, he might. No, I think they still get you with. With. With at least three in the tail. Hold up.
Joe Hayden
What's Joey. Let's chat.
James Debo Harrison
Joey Porter Jr. What's P. What's Lil.
Joe Hayden
P. What's peasy contract?
James Debo Harrison
Little peasy contract is chat. We need help. We know y' all know.
Joe Hayden
He'S four. I know he's. He going. He's coming up. I know him and Herb coming up.
James Debo Harrison
Herbert coming up already.
Joe Hayden
Him and Herbert Brody.
James Debo Harrison
I don't know if we. It just depends who out there. I don't know if we're gonna be able to keep her. Depends who looking for something because it's three.
Joe Hayden
It's Herbic, it's. It's Highsmith and it's swat. And you think we're gonna let go of. Let go hurt.
James Debo Harrison
You forgot about tj.
Joe Hayden
No tj. TJ still got TJ not going nowhere.
James Debo Harrison
I understand that, but I'm saying that's money.
Joe Hayden
Oh, yeah.
James Debo Harrison
I'm saying we may not be able to hold on to him because somebody may be able to give him. Not somebody. Somebody would definitely be able to give him more than we could give him.
Joe Hayden
Oh, for sure.
James Debo Harrison
Like, is he up up or. So I'm saying, like, if he ain't up up. If he up, we ain't gonna be able to hold on to him, bro. There's no way. There's no way we'll be able to hold on to him. Like, I mean, arguably, he was fighting for the number two linebacker on the outside between TJ and Heisman.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, but see, Herbert signed a four year deal and this man.
James Debo Harrison
Yep.
Joe Hayden
This is gonna be his last. This is his last year on his deal. So after this season. But you know how the Steelers are.
James Debo Harrison
They the season coming or the one.
Joe Hayden
We just passed this season coming up is going to be his.
James Debo Harrison
Oh, okay. Well, we still got a hold of him then.
Joe Hayden
You know, they'll probably.
James Debo Harrison
They'll probably Dangle something in his face, you know. You know, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Joe Hayden
You know, something. Something like they did. Like they did with High Smith.
James Debo Harrison
Yeah, they go. They can't do that though.
Joe Hayden
They gonna have to, bro.
James Debo Harrison
They can't do that much.
Joe Hayden
That's starting, but they gonna have to get. But the thing is, the Steelers do a great job on giving. The first year is the only thing that's guaranteed. You know, they don't get nothing passed after that first year. Oh, they do sign the bones.
James Debo Harrison
They do now, man. They do.
Joe Hayden
Not really. Except for like TJ's deal.
James Debo Harrison
Well, you got to. Even when I did mine, I knew mine was a three year deal because that's all the money that was guaranteed. I knew the fourth year came, it was going to be a restructure or I was go get released. That's what happened.
Joe Hayden
But look.
James Debo Harrison
And they didn't want to guarantee nothing in the restructure. So I'm like, yes, I can't do that. Because what's, what's to stop you from saying the year after that you want me to take another pay cut?
Joe Hayden
No, you ain't lying. We just got to look at the deals. Honestly, bruh.
James Debo Harrison
Let's go over here. Speaking of, Speaking of deals, your boy Bo Nix, he. He didn't like. He didn't like what Peyton.
Joe Hayden
I had to say about him. Yes. Do we got that?
James Debo Harrison
Why did he. This is what I want to know. Like, why would, why would the coach release all the information though?
Joe Hayden
Talking too much.
James Debo Harrison
Like, why would you even say that? Like you're saying what is his. The surgeon said and all that. Like, who does that? Is he trying to ace. He trying to a. Listen, I. Listen, I'm just. I ain't the one to say this. I'm. I am gonna say this, but I ain't the one. I'm gonna say it because I'm thinking it. Okay, this is what I'm thinking. Maybe he trying to put a little mark out there on him so that he can try and, and get him for the low.
Joe Hayden
No, no, it's too early. It's too early. It's too early. I think.
James Debo Harrison
Or maybe he's doing that so that he could maybe have a reason to pick up something else sooner.
Joe Hayden
Another quarterback?
James Debo Harrison
I don't know, man. I don't know.
Joe Hayden
I don't know, man. Sean Payton. I don't know. His relationship with these quarterbacks sometimes get a little crazy. He just be saying like him and Russell wasn't on the same he was acting crazy with Russell Treat disrespecting my young man, then with this Bo Nicks. This is your young franchise. Why are you talking so much about him? Just be quiet, like. And then Bo's like, no, he has a history. It was definitely going to turn before Beau. Like, man, be quiet. You know what I'm saying? Leave me alone. Why are you speaking on my injuries anyway? Coach don't know what he's talking about. Like, coach just sometimes just be quiet. He's like, you know, coach trying to be funny. And then I seen. He said, I told him, oh, if I knew you had these ankle injury, we wouldn't have drafted. We wouldn't have drafted you, Joe. What, you didn't see that? Yeah, Coach Sean Payton said the joint to him. So like, he just be trying to be so funny and so cool sometimes and it's not funny some. You like, you know how players keep your mouth shut. Just be quiet.
James Debo Harrison
Well, it's funny then, but when you go and you actually repeat it at this end of the season, I guess it ain't.
Joe Hayden
It ain't. I feel, I feel, I feel Bo next because, oh, my goodness, bro. Come on, Coach, who's out here trying to make me look injury prone? It's like it wasn't if, but when, right?
James Debo Harrison
That's what they said, bruh. It wasn't if, but whenever.
Joe Hayden
But you know, anybody though, if anybody.
James Debo Harrison
Else want him, it ain't about. It ain't about if he's going to get hurt. So if you want to try to give him, you know, you know, a couple hundred million.
Joe Hayden
But you know, Debo, how you. When say when we're. When we're playing in the league and say you get an ankle sprain. If they were to go look at our ankles, it would look already like something's messed up with it. Like our stuff just isn't sitting just normal.
James Debo Harrison
Clean your ankles on every day.
Joe Hayden
Well, my joint. I know I had ankle surgery and now, I mean when they first went in it just to wear and tear like my. Look like it might need to get some work on it. So some of ours, some I'm with some of my stuff.
James Debo Harrison
Yeah, man, don't be putting me in them weak ankles with you, bro. Don't be doing that, bro. I'm. I'm holding up against my weight. Plus another, you know, two, two, three dudes my size are big. You know what I'm saying now?
Joe Hayden
My bad, my bad. I'm believing on my ankles.
James Debo Harrison
You got them, you got them fleet like Quick. Used to having to take all that power. I got them. I got them hydraulic ankles. Just.
Joe Hayden
I got the Percy Harman ankles. I got the Percy Har.
James Debo Harrison
You.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, yeah, that Percy boy. Crazy.
James Debo Harrison
Oh, my God, bro. That's. That's wild, though. I ain't never seen a. I ain't never seen. I ain't never seen a coach go that deep into detail, bro, about somebody's. Especially, like, the actual surgery. What the. Like, what? Huh? Like, are you even allowed to be talking to my doctor?
Joe Hayden
You should get.
James Debo Harrison
Fine. I don't know. Hey, I'm feeling violated for him right now. Like, I don't know, Like.
Joe Hayden
But, yes, exactly right. Peyton out here violating HIPAA laws.
James Debo Harrison
Yeah, no question.
Joe Hayden
Giving an inside info on your own quarterback. He's snitching on his own mans.
James Debo Harrison
Listen, so why would you do that? The only way. Listen, I'm trying to tell you. He's trying to get a little.
Joe Hayden
Man.
James Debo Harrison
No, he's trying to set it up for later on. He thinking. Listen, he think he being slick, bro.
Joe Hayden
I' ma tell you this. Did you see when Dak. This is not. And I hate to bring this when that broke his dag on leg and still got 60 million a year. So this little minor ankle injury is not gonna keep that man away from that death. Do you remember?
James Debo Harrison
I know what you're talking about. I'm just trying to think of a rebuttal.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, there ain't no rebuttal for that one. Talking about an ankle spray, trying to hide. I'm like, did coach know you just.
James Debo Harrison
I'm just trying to think of a rebuttal. That's all.
Joe Hayden
That joint snapped off the leg, and that man went and got 60 a year.
James Debo Harrison
I don't know, man. I really don't know. Joe, you. You know what time it is? Presented by Prash Pig. All right, Joe, we got UFC 325. We let the staff make these picks, bruh, for Saturday night. Now, look here, let me know if you go rock with this, if you go fade this or what else you go do. Do you even. Watch it, bro?
Joe Hayden
I see what I'm. What I'm not about to do is lie.
James Debo Harrison
What I'm not about to do is lie, okay?
Joe Hayden
I don't know these dudes.
James Debo Harrison
Listen, I'm gonna tell you right now, I'm waiting on my son to hit me back, but this dude don't get up.
Joe Hayden
He. Oh, listen, it's noon, Debo, bruh.
James Debo Harrison
Listen, listen, listen, listen, bro. His mama vampire in your house. Let him do this. I. I. Listen, it ain't my fault. It is my fault. I went with it, too. I ain't gonna lie to do. Actually getting better grades, doing online, you know what?
Joe Hayden
So you can get a little sleep then, man.
James Debo Harrison
Little sleep. I guarantee this boy don't wake. What's today? Friday.
Joe Hayden
Friday.
James Debo Harrison
He gotta go to the. He got it. He got it. He got to go to the gym at 2:30 or something. Like, he ain't gonna wake up till 1.
Joe Hayden
What time does he go to bed?
James Debo Harrison
I don't know, man.
Joe Hayden
See, days. That's what you don't know. He went to sleep right before the show. He went to sleep at 10. You know what?
James Debo Harrison
He be. He. He be he. Man, he'd be claiming so many things. I couldn't sleep. You know, it was rough, and I'm like, what could you. You couldn't sleep with Justin up? Running through my mind, you know? He tried. I ain't gonna lie his graves on point, though, because they went. They better do. I ain't gonna lie.
Joe Hayden
Come on, man.
James Debo Harrison
I was fighting. I was fighting like, no, he can't. He gotta go to school. She like, no, I'm trying to tell you he gonna do better. And he did. I'm like, ah, I hate when I'm wrong.
Joe Hayden
So he at the.
James Debo Harrison
Online.
Joe Hayden
He don't go to school at all?
James Debo Harrison
Nah, bro, it's all. He do all his courses online. Oh, yeah.
Joe Hayden
He winning?
James Debo Harrison
Yeah. Yeah, he winning. Yeah, he went there.
Joe Hayden
I'm glad. He doing a good job, man.
James Debo Harrison
Yeah, he doing. He doing. He doing good. But he watches the ufc, though, so I'm trying. I'm trying to. I don't. I didn't. I didn't text and everything. I'm trying to let him sleep, not disturb his sleep.
Joe Hayden
All I'm gonna tell you is this. For me, looking at this and this joint says under 104 significant strikes, and just my math, I'm thinking if he hit that dude 103 times, he got to be significant.
James Debo Harrison
Got to be. Let me see that face.
Joe Hayden
That's a lot of hits.
James Debo Harrison
Hey, hey, we got. I'm gonna try and pronounce these names, bro.
Joe Hayden
See? No, you better than me.
James Debo Harrison
All right, the F is for a fighter, right? Or is he a forward? That's just a fighter.
Joe Hayden
That's just a fighter, man.
James Debo Harrison
Hey, total rounds, Raphael. This is useless.
Joe Hayden
Total rounds. It's gotta go. It's gotta go.
James Debo Harrison
Name? Chad Fizzoo.
Joe Hayden
It gotta go over two rounds.
James Debo Harrison
Is it Fizzy? Is Fizzoo what the name is? Say that. I can't even say that with my braces. For what? You got it, you got it. You got it. They say. They say he gonna go more than a round and a half. I'm looking at him.
Joe Hayden
He got a big beard, so hopefully you can take a couple faces.
James Debo Harrison
No, I ain't going with that. All right. Andy fighting first. He fighting first.
Joe Hayden
Yep.
James Debo Harrison
He fighting first.
Joe Hayden
Yes.
James Debo Harrison
All right, all right, all right, all right. We're gonna go with it. I like who we fighting. Oh, he fighting M. Ruffy. Yeah, he sound rough. I can't go with it, though. We go, we go, we go. Believe in them. We got. We got Daniel Hooker. I know that one.
Joe Hayden
You know. You know Daniel Hooker. Over 30. Over 30. Two and a half strikes. I like that. That sounds more reasonable.
James Debo Harrison
Yes. Now, listen, I know the Alex. I just came from Vulcan. Skyski Volkanotzki. We got D loop.
Nav Green
Loops.
James Debo Harrison
Loops. I don't know who that is, but I know that dude. I don't see his face.
Joe Hayden
I seen him. I seen his face for sure.
James Debo Harrison
Like.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, I ain't going. Yeah, I'm. Hey, what are you thinking, Debo?
James Debo Harrison
I'm going on.
Joe Hayden
You right?
James Debo Harrison
I'm gonna go with. I'm gonna go with it, but.
Joe Hayden
Cause I got a hot 20 fighting.
James Debo Harrison
Lopez.
Joe Hayden
They fighting each other. They fighting each other. I think they got Alex. Alex looking like under 104.
James Debo Harrison
I'm trying to tell you, man. I think Alex is a striker, though. He's. He's like.
Joe Hayden
You think he gonna hit that? You think we gonna go with it?
James Debo Harrison
Oh, he's fighting the dude below.
Joe Hayden
Yes, that's what I'm saying.
James Debo Harrison
Diego.
Joe Hayden
Alex is fighting Diego, and they think Alex gonna hit him. Less than 104 significant strikes.
James Debo Harrison
I don't think he gonna last that long. That's the only reason.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, that makes sense then.
James Debo Harrison
Yeah. Yeah. All. That's good. Oh, that's good. Oh, that's good.
Joe Hayden
Oh, that's good.
James Debo Harrison
Oh, that's good. We're gonna run with it. We're gonna run with it. Make sure y' all download the app today and use the code Debo, Joe. Not Debo Angelo Devo Joe. I still win to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 in lineups. The code Debo, Joe. Let's check. We'll see what the chat talking about, man. What we got, Joe? Super chat. Is that. Am I gonna go DMO Z?
Joe Hayden
What the DMOs one stop.
James Debo Harrison
Stop doing all these goofy ass names on y'.
Joe Hayden
All. This is more important to players. Okay, which is more important.
James Debo Harrison
It looks like DMO zone. Yeah. Or DM O Z1. Who knows.
Joe Hayden
Yeah.
James Debo Harrison
Is it DM ounce one? What is it? Read it.
Joe Hayden
Debo.
James Debo Harrison
Yeah. 20. We're gonna appreciate you for that. 20.
Joe Hayden
Thank you though. That's a fact. That's what we're gonna do.
James Debo Harrison
It says which, it says which is more important to players success, a quality head coach or coordinator. Debo, you once stole my hat at the Pittsburgh airport. Thankfully you gave it back. Why'd I take your hat, man?
Joe Hayden
He must have did something crazy to you. But I know you're not just walking around taking people's hats off their head in the airport.
James Debo Harrison
Respect you guys, great show.
Joe Hayden
Thank you my man.
James Debo Harrison
Which one is you think is more important? Here's the thing.
Joe Hayden
It for me it depends how much.
James Debo Harrison
Yeah, go ahead.
Joe Hayden
How much, how much power? How much power does your head coach have? Like some head coaches are also the D coordinators. Some head coaches are all in tied in that stuff. Some head coaches stay out the way. Let their coordinators handle the offense or the defense. So I just depending on if what's your head coach, does your head coach a defensive minded head coach to where he kind of basically runs your defense or is he just more of an overall sitting back, let the coordinators do their things and then just kind of like come around and make sure oversee the whole team and make sure everything is everything. So in that case it's more of what type of coach is it? Like is it, is it a head coach that's more hands on and this is what his, his defense is or this is how I run my offense or is he more of I'm going to put the coaches in position to run this thing.
James Debo Harrison
Yeah, I'm with you on that. So it's dependent on how well if, if, if, if we're saying as the positions are said head coach, head coach, coordinator, coordinator, then I'm going to say it's the coordinator because the coordinator should be allowed to do exactly what it is that he was hired to do. And that's pure coordinate. Now same thing though from that you still have to go to the position coach. So position coach coordinator, if they're allowed to do what they're supposed to do and you have hired someone that is smart enough and has the, the, the, the knowledge to, to, to relay it to you in ways that you understand, then that's great. Like I said before, butts linebacker coach related to me great. He gave me the defense coach, the bull's defense, the same one I thought Was so hard to learn. Taylor made once I sat down, understood and got to it. So the com the person in position and allowing them to do that position, that's what will change. Like. Like who's more important. Because if I'm a head coach and I know I know not, I've had no head coaching experience, but I go and hire a fire D coordinator, I hire a fire offensive coordinator. And from those D and O coordinators, they say I need X, y abcd coaches at these positions. And I say go ahead and run it. All I'm doing is sitting here managing time of when we're where we're doing it, how we're doing it, and then I'm just letting them run with it and report to me what they're doing.
Joe Hayden
And making sure that message is getting drawn out to the team.
James Debo Harrison
Yep. Yes. Yep.
Joe Hayden
We got another one. Debo. Mike. Mike say what up, Debo And Joe, with Bill not being first ballot, does this mean Brady will also not be first ballot since Spike also helped his legacy?
James Debo Harrison
If that's what they saying, if they trying to say it was because of Spygate, then hey, if the coach ain't going in, that got mold in the player. How the player go get in.
Joe Hayden
I say that, but they'd be losing their God dag on minds because the same thing we saying. I don't care. He's Then he went to Denton, Brady went to Tampa and got a whole nother one by himself. So Brady got seven of them joints and take away one of the ships. Like, no, there's no way Tom Brady. Like we said it again. If you say the name and you think about it and you just say, oh, no, that's first battle.
James Debo Harrison
Listen, coach can't get in Listen, coach can't get in with a high time go get in with because then it's.
Joe Hayden
Gonna be a double. It's gonna just be even. They just gonna compound on top of.
James Debo Harrison
It if they like time. It's hard to dislike time, bro.
Joe Hayden
Man, go. That's what I'm saying. Yes.
James Debo Harrison
I told you, man. I don't say this a million times, dude. I got there and I wanted to dislike this dude. I'm like, man, I hate this. I hate this. I hate this bastard. Hey, same thing with the coach. I'm like, dude, it's gonna be a like a horrible talk to this dude. Nope.
Joe Hayden
No.
James Debo Harrison
Like Tom is just straight time. He ain't changing how he is. Bill was changing because he didn't like talking to the media. Thomas time. I'm sitting over there. And I'm watching him do it. I'm like, yeah, he gonna slip up.
Joe Hayden
He go.
James Debo Harrison
He gonna do some weed, you know? Yeah. Now and then, you see him, you see him crack a little bit. Like, oh, he snap off on. Nope, nope. Dude. First person to me like, hey, man, Tom Brady. I'm like, man, that's what he said.
Joe Hayden
Go introduce himself.
James Debo Harrison
Hey, bruh, practice squad dude come in. Dude, just getting in. They just picked up. Same thing.
Joe Hayden
Same thing. No, that's what he said, bro. I've heard that. He said he just come over there because he just introduce himself. Make yourself welcome. Make yourself one of the guys. Have a beer with the lineman. Like, I never hung out with Tom, but that's what you hear. And you got you, James. You have no reason to lie. The one thing you gonna do, I know you will keep it a bean. You're gonna say what it is. I didn't want to like him.
James Debo Harrison
I had to tell you, dude. I had to tell him. I was sitting there getting taped, and he's sitting there like one across from me. I'm like, dude, I ain't gonna relax. I gotta tell you the truth. When I came here, I wanted to hate your ass. I said, but I can't. I said, you actually a real good dude.
Joe Hayden
Telling you, I know it'd be like that straight up. But if they keep out Uncle Tom, I'm blowing everybody the hall of fame. It don't make no sense.
James Debo Harrison
Why you call that man Uncle Tom, man?
Joe Hayden
He been in the league so long. Uncle Tom when he was in there.
James Debo Harrison
Just call him Tom, okay? Just call him.
Joe Hayden
You don't like Uncle Tom?
James Debo Harrison
Hey, look. Yeah, man, we got. We up. We up. Out of time, man. We want to thank y' all for joining us on this episode of Debo and Joe.

Podcast Narrator
What if mind control is real?
Dr. Jesse Mills
