So our boy Miles Garrett they talking about cause my man Lamar Jackson showed up, Shador showed up, DeShawn showed up, Dylan Gabriel showed up and Miles Garrett. Miles Garrett didn't show up.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Where Watts at where.
Joe (Joe Haden)
So he's on track to lose a million dollars in 2016. The compensation since his contract includes a million dollars in workout bonuses. 2016 on the bonus he need to be there for 84 of the offseason workouts, OTAs and yeah yeah, report timely for training camp.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Listen, so what you thinking?
Joe (Joe Haden)
What you thinking? Just is it what's going on?
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Miles Garrison I don't Miles can go do whatever he want to do.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
That's what I'm saying. I was trying Miles do what he want to do. So you don't want your, you don't want your top defensive player showing buy in so everybody else Miles Garrett is
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
the most brought in person in in the Cleveland Browns organization.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Thank you.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I don't thank you.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
He the most paid audience shows me like, like, like I want to see you there. Like you know I want, I want you to be there. Like I, I actually showed up for all, you know, for our stuff. Even though I went and trained out in Arizona, I still was there. Like yo, this is the part where I need to show that as one of the leaders of this team I'm buying into this So I need other players to see this so I would show up for things like that.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
But Miles lead in his own way, right?
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yes.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Miles is not a big. In front of the team.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I mean, you got a new head. Show me the new head coach. Because I'm feeling like this right now.
Joe (Joe Haden)
If that's my mom right now, my
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
dude Miles ain't show up. Oh, well, I'm rocking with you right now.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I. I feel like. I feel like Miles. Listen, I play with Miles. Miles is not the type of leader to. To speak up in front of the team. When he do speak in front of the team, he got everybody attention. Right. But he's more of the guy by guy in his room type of leader. Right. We know what Miles Garrett is going to bring to the table. I'm sure Miles Garrett had called. D and Jimmy Haslam call Todd Monkin. Welcome him to the team.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I talked to him, Juice.
Joe (Joe Haden)
He's lying. He didn't talk to him. That's what I'm saying. He'll do like that.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
That's what I'm saying.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I believed you, too.
Joe (Joe Haden)
I was like, that's what I'm saying. He'll do a straight face.
Julian Edelman
Yeah, yeah.
Joe (Joe Haden)
No, I talked to him.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
No, no. But I feel like it's communicated, you know, I think. I think to. To your point, Debo, he could have showed up for the first day, first week, and then. And then been out of there. But if a guy like Miles don't come, it's not. There's no harm, no foul. I know what I'm gonna get.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I mean, do we have a new defensive scheme? Do we have a new defensive playbook? Like, are like. Because I'm sure the new D coordinator came in there and he like, dude, I'm not about to run this dude stuff. Who just left Schwartz and left y' all hanging. I'm about to show y' all it better. You think they running the same thing? Doing the same.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
That don't change my. Garrett, just go get that quarterback.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Change what you need to know as far as where you're going to be on the field.
Joe (Joe Haden)
That's all I'm.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
The guys that play around him need to be able to get a feel for what he's going to do.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Domination.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
You know what I'm saying? I'm so used to doing things correctly that I don't know how to not have a team effort so you can get a team. Team Lombardi.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah, but when you were there, right? You had personalities, right? Was AB Laon, Bell was all these guys showing up to OTAs.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Oh, every single one. No, not every single one. Not every single time.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Right. So.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
But they was there. Was they there or not, Joe?
Joe (Joe Haden)
I mean, that the truth.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Saying the devil. Was they there when the OTAs came mandatory? No, I'm talking about the regular, like any team activities. Not mandatory, but it was. If it was a team activity. Was they there?
Joe (Joe Haden)
I got cte. I don't. I don't remember.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
This thing got cte.
Joe (Joe Haden)
I don't remember.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I would say this.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
See what I'm talking about, Jarvis?
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Go ahead.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Go ahead, Jarvis.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
No, I would say. I would say this again for Miles Garrett. He's not a player that I'm going to worry about. I understand the team aspect of it. He could have showed up maybe for the first week, but again, I'm sure he's going to be there for mandatories, you know, as far as learning the playbook and stuff like that. Deebo. Like, there's only so many tackle in twists and games that we could run that, you know, ain't nobody developing no new game or no new twist.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
That's the problem. Most of these coaches trying to redevelop the wheel. That's why everything be looking so crazy and defenses don't work and offenses look sloppy. Everybody want to put their own hook on it. You can't change too much of anything without destroying.
Joe (Joe Haden)
So this what I'm saying. I'm with you. Miles Garrett, earlier in the careers and two like he is, he just hamming off 23 sacks. When he walks into the room, everybody's going to know he's going to be mandatory minicamp. He's lifting weights elsewhere. When Miles comes, he's going to look ridiculous and look like he's ready to go 100% like, I'm with you 1,000% on this. It's not as big of a deal if he was a quarterback. If we need you to be be working with your receivers, right? Miles. When Miles comes, you pluck him in at defensive end. He's going to be the best in the league to do what he has to do. Like, you can't. You can't teach what Miles got.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
He's going to do his chess piece on the. On the board.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yes.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I don't even. Man, go do what you've been doing. You just come. You coming off.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Come back just. Man.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah. Defensive player of the year.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yes.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I get what y' all saying. Cleveland ain't got the type of coaches that's gonna actually give him any nuggets.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Right.
Joe (Joe Haden)
No, but. But he gonna come get these nuggets. I mean, ot. I mean, look.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Yeah, it's Cleveland.
Joe (Joe Haden)
It's just. It's a lot of.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I know 100. I know 100. Mandatory mini camp. He'll be there. I just don't think that he's a guy that. I know. We need to see a lot of doing OTAs and, you know, in. In just jerseys and shorts.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I'm just saying. You just got a new coach.
Joe (Joe Haden)
We're saying the same. It'll definitely be a good look two weeks early.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I'm just saying. You know what I'm saying? Hey, Miles. But I love it. You do what you want to do, Miles. You the baddest defensive player in the NFL, if not the best player in the NFL. Do what you want to do. Go where you want to go. Be where you want to be. You want to go chill with your girl. Go chill with you.
Joe (Joe Haden)
You want to go there?
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Take our vacation for OTAs? You do that. Cause you the man. And you go. Always be the man.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I'm Jarvis Landry, and I approve of that message.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
No question. No question.
Joe (Joe Haden)
That's another. That's an sec. Guy. Don't know.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I like to speak the egos, Joe.
Joe (Joe Haden)
No, I like to speak next. You know, don't go too crazy because Miles, he don't speak too much. He gonna come out there. 26 sacks.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
28.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
28.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
How many get on the Stillers?
Joe (Joe Haden)
I mean, I don't. I don't know. None. Debo hand get none.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
It's a season stat for it for a reason. It's a season stat.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
We don't care about what he did against everybody else. It's black and gold. I mean, 20. 20, you went on out there, you got you nine for, you know, you. What was it? Nine for 95, five for 95. Something like that. You know what I'm saying? You wanna. You know you won a game against.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Oh, yeah.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Oh, the playoff game. I wanted 112.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Oh, no. Joe. I'm sorry. Joe got beat. That game hot. Hey, man, how did that feel? How did that feel? How did you beat Joe? You played for the Steelers in 2020. You're just part of the team, so stop it. Let him know.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
You know what, bro?
Joe (Joe Haden)
I didn't play in the playoff game.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I don't care. I know.
Joe (Joe Haden)
I was watching. I watched.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I'm talking to. Can you let Jarvis answer this, please?
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Thank you, man. You know what, Debo?
Joe (Joe Haden)
That.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
That year was crazy because we played y' all back to back. It's almost like y' all let us in the playoffs because y' all didn't really play most of y' all starters. And then the next week we played y' all in the, the wild card game. And that was so personal to us, bro. And I think y', all, I think I could have just kind of looked at it like, like maybe look past us, but like it was. That game was so personal, bro. Like, we were so hyped. Like, I can't even tell you.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
It's like, hey, they was like, we gonna let y' all in to go ahead and slap y' all in the playoffs. That's how y'.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
All, that's how we. That's how we felt, bro. And I'm telling you, when we pulled up to the butt, when we pulled the stadium, bro, the energy was crazy, bro. Everybody had the steely eyed look, like nobody talking, you know what I'm saying? It wasn't, it wasn't even. Like nobody had to say anything before the game at that time. I think who it was, juju Smith was doing like the Corvette Corvette thing on everybody. Go, go. And all that stuff, bro. I'm telling our mentality going into that game. That's why you see the energy like that. Like when, when, when I score, if you go back to my touchdown, I ain't even celebrate. Like, I was just about to run to the Steelers sideline.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Like he's looking angry.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah. Like it's up the whole game.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Oh, listen, y' all low key, lucky
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
that we score more defensive points. That we score defensive points that game too. Cause it got out of hand early, bro.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Cause if you hit the first snap,
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
the ball flipped over.
Joe (Joe Haden)
This went over my man head.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah, yeah.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
That's how you start.
Joe (Joe Haden)
We started the game. I'm watching. I had Covid. So I'm watching from the crib. Like, oh, no, no, no. Like, I thought I was watching the movie. Yeah. First play of the game, bro. Flipped over my man here.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Horror movie.
Joe (Joe Haden)
So I'm looking at that, bro. Y' all just. It was. Yeah, it was not. Not a good look, bro.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
We.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
We who y' all play after that, man?
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Played Kansas City. Took him down to. Took him down to the wire. We had a bad. We had a bad call, bad call. One of our guys dove, see. Touchdown. He got hit. Ball crossed the line. They said it was a touchback. Listen, that game.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Oh, no, one of those, bro.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
One of those. That game. Patrick Mahomes get hurt in the third quarter. He's out for the rest of the
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
game, y' all thought it was over with you was like, we got this.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
The stars are aligning.
Joe (Joe Haden)
The stars are aligning.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Steve O. Like, I'm. Look.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I'm.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I'm looking. Like, at first, I'm like, okay, listen, we gotta be perfect. You know, you play them games and it's like, yes, bro. You gotta be perfect. You playing against Mahomes, you playing against Roetlisberger, like, you have to be locked. Locked in. Mahomes went down. We was like, listen, we really. We good. Like, we good, man. Chad Henny come off the bench, bro, and just not Henny off the Henny. Chad Henny off the Henny. Off the Henny destroyed it, bro. So we end up. We ended up losing that game. That same year, we had beat Buffalo, right? That same year we had beat Buffalo. So we knew that if we won that game, we were going to probably play Buffalo. And we had beat him already.
Joe (Joe Haden)
You already beat him already.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
We. We ain't. Look, we wasn't looking past him, but we already knew that, like, bro, we could play in a Super Bowl. Like, that was our super bowl team. And that year, we didn't even. That year, we lost Odell in, like, game, like nine. Game nine or ten, we lost Odell. So we didn't even have Odell back. And we were kind of. We made that push through the playoffs. So the next year, when we got him back, we thought it would be like, okay, now we finally here, right? Yeah. And then he got traded to the Rams, and, you know, the rest is history.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Damn.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Crazy, crazy turn of events.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Crazy turn of events.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Chad Henny off the Henny.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Crazy, crazy Chad Henny off the Henny.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
That. That into a possible historic run for y'. All.
Joe (Joe Haden)
It was, man.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
It ended the team in reality, like, Joe was talking about, because in reality, Odell left. The whole. The whole controversy between Odell and Baker happened, right? And then Odell leaves, we lose. And then that next year, I think I'm released. Like, you know, Baker's gone. I'm released. Deshaun Watson come in. Like, that's. That's. That's the end of the run. Yeah, we had two years together. That's it. It was one and a half.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Matter of fact, speaking of Odell, he's trying to go back to the Giants. What do you think of the possibilities of him being there? You think it's a good idea? You think Harbaugh actually make that man a relationship there?
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
You know what I mean? Like, I think for me, looking at it and just as a fan and as my brother, man, I want to see him ball.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yeah, thanks.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Like, I want to see him. I want to see him go somewhere. They gonna put the ball in his hands too. Like, again, like, I understand. You know what I mean? But like, put the ball in his hands.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Do you think New York would be sweet, though? I think he. I think because if they got Malik, they got Malik neighbors and then he could be. If he could still be two, you know what I'm saying? I think he could still be able to get the ball out there and I think towards you while when you get towards the end of your career, being able.

Joe (Joe Haden)
able to play where it started and it being like a good situation. They got a young quarterback. They got a scatter boo. They they starting to look. They don't just look weak. They look like they trying to do something so he wouldn't just be going they got swag. About to get beat. Yeah the quarterback got swag. They got you know what I'm saying? And that's what O brought to New York. So I think it would be a nice fitting way to, you know what I'm saying. If he because I know he still want to play. He been running around getting right. So for me I want to see him ball And I him and the 13 in New York always, it was very legendary. So. That would be crazy.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah, it'd be crazy, bro. It'll be crazy. And I think they got like the second or the third pick this year too. So I. And from. From what I've seen, the Jeremiah love kick or potentially, you know, show up there and be a giant, I think that could be amazing. Amazing fit to add a piece like Odell to that, right? Especially neighbors coming off the acl, right. It could be a great. It could be a match made. Having to be able to run the football, play action, fake some stuff. Ghetto down in different. You know that third level, second, third level, right. Let me leak neighbors do his thing. ISO and it could be. It could be a great fit. Come in scatter boot. Come back in and bring some more elements in the red zone. I think it'd be awesome. I think it'd be awesome. Match made in heaven and at a fair price. Yeah. Yeah.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Is it gonna happen?
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I mean it's gonna have to be. But I'm saying that's. That's the beauty of it.
Joe (Joe Haden)
That's the beauty of it. That's the beauty of it. We both need to take two to tango.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
No question. No question.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I get you. I can get you for 11 and you're gonna give me some. You're gonna give me that. You gonna give me some. Some return for sure?
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Yes, sir.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
It sound like a great investment. That sounds like a great investment to me.
Joe (Joe Haden)
New York.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Yeah. Let's go on down here to. To Jacksonville, man. They got. They got Travis Hunter. They saying he go be a full time cornerback. I guess they're going to give him some gadget plays offense no longer 50, 50 split like he did in Colorado. Do y' all like this move? Do y' all like him being more of a cornerback or more of a. Of a receiver? Which one do you think?
Joe (Joe Haden)
Oh, for me?
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah.
Joe (Joe Haden)
I think he can be a hall of fame. One of the best to do it at corner. I think he's a natural corner. His ball skills and what he can do a wide receiver. Putting that at the cornerback position is what makes cornerbacks elite. Being able to track the ball. Being able to not get uncomfortable. Being able to not panic on the fade, being able to not grab. Being able to like literally you see the ball, I see the ball. Now I'm going to turn the receiver, I'm going to jump over the receiver, catch the ball. And instincts. Not being afraid to tackle, not being afraid to hit. He's amazing with the ball in his hands. So when I look at primetime, Deion Sanders. Deion Sanders could have been a wide receiver. He could have been a receiver in the league and did work at receiver. But I don't think he would have been prime time the best cornerback, the best receiver to ever play. The way that I look at him as the best cornerback to ever play. And when we say gadget plays, do the same thing as him. You could put him at punt returner, let him get a couple of kickoff returns when you need it, put him at wide receiver a little bit. Those are the positions where that man's an athlete. Put him in the punt return, fair catch. But if he catches that punt, he can take that to the crib.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Game changer.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Kickoff with a chan. When he catches that kickoff with space, you want space and grass. Like what Coach T would say, give me the ball and green grass. You get that in Travis Hunter's hands, then he's going to be explosive. So on defense, in my opinion, just the footwork, the ball skills, the speed, the not afraid to hit, all that is what makes him unbelievably elite at corner receiver. He can do it too. And I'm not saying he wouldn't be amazing. He could probably go Pro bowl. But just from my eyes, I'm like, dude, you can be one of the best to ever do it at corner. From his Colorado tape, what do you think?
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
What do you think, Jarvis?
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Man, Joe said every point that I would. That I literally would say, from being elite to, you know, being a punt returner to using his instincts as from. From taking that receiver instinct to the, to the. To the defensive side of the ball. We saw a lot of that at Colorado, you know, before he came out where, you know, he fallen from he falling off of the under to. To. To the wheel, making playing off instincts, playing, I think faster that way. You know what I mean? I think his ability is through the roof of what he could do defensively more than what he can give you as an offensive player. Offensive, offensively, there's too many limitations. There's too many other needs for him to be successful. The quarterback has to be perfect. The line has to this. The coverage has to be. You know, there's so many times coach, offensive coaches draw you up a play and they run a perfect coverage that that ball don't go to you, right? So I want to see Travis Hunter be as explosive he can be on every play. And I think being on the defensive side of the ball gives us a chance to do that. Yeah, helps the football team.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Yeah, definitely helps the football team a lot more. And then like you said, you can still get him over there every now and then to see, see, we could what he could do right there on that, on that, on that one.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Because Travis Hunter, you put him on your number one receiver and I'm liking that. Like he's not afraid of nobody. Like nobody's going to out athlete that man. And then he gets to learning what route is this man going to run. I'm not just going to have to play, man. I'm going to know he's over split. It's third and three. I'm playing with the quarterback. I'm jumping this hitch because when I see him in zone cover two, he's playing high to low. Playing with the quarterback, he's picking off the low route. When you supposed to make sure you take away the seven and then you come down and pick the hitch. I'm like that. You supposed to just catch and tackle. That's you supposed to make a tackle there. When you pick that off, I'm like this, okay, you're score. You know what I'm saying? And then you score. You know what I'm saying? Like you don't even die. And he's diving, catching it. And then one, if you're in the league, you can get up and run. Like his ball skills, his way to catch the ball and all of his smarts. And now being able to let the NFL game slow down and be out there all the time knowing I'm a corner, I'm following this dude. I'm going to be able to study him now you're gonna be able to lock down and be able to be one of the best corners instead of. All right, I'm do a little bit of defense. Yeah. Then I'm gonna go ahead and try to figure out what I gotta get into this offensive bag like.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah, he's definitely game changer. Defense side.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Give me your top five receivers in the league right now. Right now, Right now.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase, CD Lamb. Like that JSN and St. Brown.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Give me your five all time.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Jerry.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yep. Larry, Nice hands
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
to yo. And I'm gonna throw in my two
Joe (Joe Haden)
dark horses because I, I Because it's your top. Because it's yours.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Anquan Bowden and Heinz Ward.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Ooh.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Over Moss.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Listen, that's, that's, that's my two dark horses. I, I think Moss is obviously Mosses Moss is there, but I didn't watch to was my favorite receiver growing up. Right.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Okay.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Jerry Rice was my. My uncle's favorite receiver. So he was the reason that my brother wore number 80.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Okay.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
And then I wore number 80 because my brother. So I just fell in. Jerry fell in love with Jerry Rice that way. Okay.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yes.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Even though he the goat. He's a goat. Greatest of all time.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yes.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Hands down, right? Heinz Ward.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yes.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I remember this dude broke somebody jaw on crack block.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Hey, listen, I told you, changing rules on both sides of the pond, that's why they brought that crack back.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Back, man.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
You should be able to go up there and clean somebody up.
Joe (Joe Haden)
You gotta realize who.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
That's the high. You gotta realize he broke River's jaw over there.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yeah. Realize what type of player that you talking to.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
You.
Joe (Joe Haden)
You running the ball, you blocking, you getting gritty with it. You trying. You are toting the ball through the paint.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
100 so them. So I watch a ton of Heinz Ward and Heinz Ward, obviously, toward the end of his career, he got bigger. Right. Had more heavier set. Right. But like, Heinz War is an animal. Like, I don't know.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
No question.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
And I hate that people. Like that gets the block.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
You hate that people.
Joe (Joe Haden)
When you say Hines war get to looking crazy. Yeah.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Or that people forget. People forget, right? Like. Like that, bro. This hall of Famer.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Yes, bro.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Like, this dude was. This dude was like, legit for a long, long, long time.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yes, brother.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
And they called us the Pittsburgh.
Joe (Joe Haden)
And that's why people like Heinz gonna always be remembered. Because people like you, they're not gonna let them be forgotten.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
He can't.
Joe (Joe Haden)
He can't.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
He on Mount Rushmore. Like, he up there like Devo. I'm telling y'.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
All.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I'm telling you, Joe. I'm telling y'. All, I used to watch this guy highlight tapes. The reason why I blocked the way I blocked was because of Hines Ward.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Come on, man.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
And then, you know, also my knock, knock, knock.
Joe (Joe Haden)
See the Hines Ward in your game, man.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
For sure, my knock was always my speed. So I was always looking at players that was very similar to me to how can I adapt my game? Cause if they playing at that level, I believe that I could play at that level, not being a speed demon or whatever it is. And back when I came in, that was a big thing, but it wasn't the biggest thing like it is now, right? As how fast is this kid? Right.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Yeah.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
But it was more about, is he a football player? And I feel like I had game speed. I watched you watch Anquan Bolden.
Joe (Joe Haden)
That's what I was about to say.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
What about Quan Bro Killer? I want to say Anquan Bolden first touch was a touchdown. If I'm not mistaken, his first touch in the NFL was a touchdown when he was out in Arizona wearing number 81. I want to see you number 81.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yes, yes, yes.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Oh, animal.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Because my time, I remember Anquan was when he played for the Ravens, and he was so strong. And I. I did not. I did not like Anquan because he would block me so hard. I thought he had a problem with me because, like, some dudes, you know, they might run the receiver off. He's a receiver if it's a run. If it's a running play, he's gonna hat and hands me. And I'm like, bro. As soon as I'm like, bro. Like, Like, I thought he was like, no, he just not.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
That's how you play the game.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Not saying nothing to me, like, nah, like, there's no communication. I'm just about to dog you. I'm like this, okay, I respect it. Cause you playing all within the rules and the whistles, but you really running up on me and hat in hand to me every time.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
My all time favorite, bro. He one of my all time favorites. And then obviously Larry Fitzgerald. Larry Fitzgerald. I got a cut up of when. When I was in high school. Larry Fitzgerald making all his crazy ass catches when he was out in Pittsburgh practicing, you know, with Pittsburgh. And I'm like, man, who is this guy? This gu. Like, damn, he catching everything with one hand. He catching behind his back, he diving all this. And I'm like, for me, he showed me that any pat, anytime a ball is thrown to a receiver in that catch radius, it's catchable.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yes, if you touch it, bro.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Bro, this man got crazy hands.
Joe (Joe Haden)
That man got the best. One of the craziest stats ever. He got more tackles in the NFL than drop passes in his career.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Come on, man.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Like, when was he tackling?
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
People don't even mention this man in their top five.
Joe (Joe Haden)
No, no, no. Yeah, that I'm not talking about.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
That's a good start.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Talking about flashy.
Joe (Joe Haden)
No, you're just talking about getting it done. I'm talking about getting it done.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Like, and he played on one team. It's a tire. Career.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Stand up, Stand up. Dude, you never heard nothing about Larry ever. Out the way.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
No.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
You know my mountain Westmore. Get out there.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Way out the way, brother. Jarvis, you. You just started your podcast, I guess, a little while ago with.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yes, sir.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
How that's going, man?
Joe (Joe Haden)
What.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
What have you learned through this process, bro.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
It's going well, bro. You know, it's a transition, right? You know, so it's a. It's a transition. So, you know, we. We still working out the case, man, but, you know, we got great people around us, great team. Like, you guys, got a great team around you, and a lot of that makes it, you know, easier on and talk and. And do our thing. And it helps having relationships with good people, man, like you guys, you know what I mean? And other people that, you know, we're bringing on the show here and there.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Sure.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
It's. It's amazing, man. I can't say enough about it. I wouldn't. I wouldn't say it's something I saw myself doing. You know what I'm saying?
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Tell me for real.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I would not say I saw myself doing it, but at the end of the day, man, I do get enjoy. I do get enjoy. I enjoy, like, feeling that locker room feel again, you know? I mean, like, just chopping it up with y'.
Julian Edelman
All.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Like, this would be conversations between pract somewhere in training camp, but you know what I mean, we would be having in the locker room. So, yeah, you know, I do. I do enjoy that a lot.
Joe (Joe Haden)
How did it come about with you, being with you and Lenny, man?
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
So. So. So Leonard was, you know, just talking one day on Instagram saying he wanted to do a podcast, and I DMed him right away. I was like, man, we do a podcast. Let me know, man, I love to, like, either come on a show or whatever. And he was like, man, you should do it with me. And then from there, it just. It just kind of came to life, man.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Oh, that's perfect.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah, bro.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Naturally.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Naturally. And, you know, we never played. We never really played together either. Like, you and Debo, right? You know?
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yeah.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I mean, we ain't played together. And I was there.
Joe (Joe Haden)
He was on the same.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I wasn't playing. Yeah, we was on the same team. Like, me and Joe was kind of the same. Well, yeah, kind of the same thing. Like, actually, you know, I was looking at, you know, doing it, whatever, and basically, you know, we're looking for someone, and me and Joe ended up going to cam softball charity game, and we just started chopping it up like we had been kicking it for the last 15, 20 years, seeing each other every day. I'm like, yo, what about Joe? Like, yeah, all right, so.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
And that's the best way to do it.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
It was like, yeah, man, I was thinking about doing one too. Like, I'm in the process. It's like, yo, here.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
That's the best way to do it, bro. That's the best way. What happened? Naturally, authentically, and organic it. You know what I mean? That makes it easy. And y' all boys got great chemistry. I'll be checking out the show all the time, bro.
Joe (Joe Haden)
So good, man.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
You know, Keep up the great work.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
When are y' all on, man? Y', all, y' all live, y' all recorded. When? What times do y' all come on?
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
So we go. We go Mondays and Thursdays.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Okay.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
And our show normally drops. Like, sometimes they drop on Tuesday, sometimes top drop on Friday, but okay, you know, for the most part, man, we, we, we shooting, you know, every week. Like last week when, when, you know, Joe came on, I got on the
Joe (Joe Haden)
show y' all gonna see me on. You know what I'm saying?
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
It's actually releasing. It's actually releasing today. So it's perfect. You know what I mean?
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Yes.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Check it out.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah, and it's. Yeah, man, it's great, bro. It's great.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Goodbye.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Definitely.
Joe (Joe Haden)
We're gonna get into the super chats on here, people.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Yeah, we're gonna jump into them super chats right here. We got. We got Liam 9875. Appreciate you, Liam. He said if his press man covers one on one. Joe Hayden, who beaten.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Damn, Joe. Why they always doing this?
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
You already know.
Joe (Joe Haden)
You already know. You already know how he's.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
It's gonna be. Hey, look, it's big on big.

Joe (Joe Haden)
Big on Big. He can't win some. I'm gonna win some.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
That's it. Period.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
You know, man, they too nice.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Respect each other and we honest.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Yeah, I know. That's why you gotta jump on this neck like, bro, you're not about to, to stop me. I'm gonna go ahead and get this seven yard dig on this, on this third and five and you ain't gonna do nothing about it.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
You see, it's like, it's the, the, the game of receiver db, right? It's like a, it's like, it's not only is it a chess match, right, but it's a, it's, it's a little bit of. I already know. I'm anticipating. I anticipate going 10 for 10, right, Joe? Anticipate going 10 for 10. But realistically, I just need one more catch. You just need one more stop. That's really who win the bat, you know what I mean? That's how it go. You know what I'm saying?
Joe (Joe Haden)
So, man, ah, that's the best part. It's always, all right, hold up, I
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
can catch no balls and then score the matchup.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Let me give you a scenario, man. Let me give you a scenario. All right. It's an all out blow.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Zero coverage.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
No, no free. Zero coverage. Zero coverage. You need three yards.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Oh, this is what I'm telling you. This is what I'm telling you. It just depends. This one, I'm telling you, it depends on the route. If he runs a go, he got me. If he runs anything under five, under seven yards, I'm not moving. So I'm standing feet planted. There's nothing you can do. I'm breaking across on the slant so he double moves me or something like that. I'm hitting and D line, y' all better get there.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Cause you ain't playing for the gonna
Joe (Joe Haden)
plan for the goal. It's zero coverage. You said zero sluggo touchdown.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah, but listen, but listen. Awesome. Based on what I think about Depot, based on the situation you just gave, I ain't got no time for no double move.
Joe (Joe Haden)
That's what I'm saying. It's all out blitz.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
You know what I want. You know what I would want in that situation?
Joe (Joe Haden)
What you want?
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I would want. Just throw it to me on the line. Give me a little smoke. Let me get that ball in my hand. And then. And then Joe gotta tackle me.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Step back. Quick.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Step back.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Just quick. I'll even come meet the ball just so I can get a little separation from Joe.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Ball in your hand, Joe in front of you.
Joe (Joe Haden)
I can get three yards.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
It really. It's really gonna be. It's really gonna be how Joe react.
Joe (Joe Haden)
It's really gonna be on my reaction. That's what I like. It's really gonna be a magic reaction.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
We're going moving backwards.
Joe (Joe Haden)
We're going to hit helmets.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah. Oh, for sure. We're going to bang it out. But if Joe, If Joe don't react. Joe don't react forward when I move backwards to catch the screen.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yes.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
It's.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
We go. We got a situation here.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yeah, I need to get there.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
This could go either way.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Oh, I'm running up.
Joe (Joe Haden)
I'm running up. That's why I said I'm not. I can't.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah, it depends on. I wouldn't even run. I wouldn't run a go on. On Joe and. And then also Joe Noah's all out blitz. He too smart to give up a swing. You know what I'm saying? If I ran a go cut me off. Off.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Come on.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
You know what I'm saying? So that ain't. It ain't really a good.
Joe (Joe Haden)
The zero. The zero. The zero blitz. Joint is on a defensive.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
We.
Joe (Joe Haden)
We.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
That's.
Joe (Joe Haden)
That's what we eat. Y' all better get there. That's on y'.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
All. Debo, don't you know the ball coming
Joe (Joe Haden)
out quick, acting blocked, looking all crazy.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Hey, sometimes you gotta. You gotta make a executive decision to fake in coverage and get the pick for the hundred. You know that's right.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yes.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yes.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Fake you but you look. But you and. But you engaged.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
This is true statement. We got boss man 93-0975 said. Debo, what was Troy like in day to day practice? He's my favorite player of all time. And I wish I. I wish he did more podcast and stuff, but I get why he doesn't. I don't know. Troy was Troy like he chilled. Troy. Troy. Listen, I ain't gonna lie. That's my guy. Troy's practice, you know, Troy practice like
Joe (Joe Haden)
practice because he was man he knew it.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
He knew where he needed to see.
Joe (Joe Haden)
He.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
He ain't gotta show up.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
You know what you gonna do. Yeah, he gave you that one now.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
You know, Troy. Troy was, you know, he was working through a lot of injuries when he played too, so I was a little different. I. I'm liable to fire off on you in practice, you know. Yeah, no question.
Joe (Joe Haden)
If you're running the ball, going to see a teammate.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Oh, no question, bro. Listen, if you running the rock, you're getting hit now pass and you come across the middle.
Advertiser / Narrator
That's a different.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I'll let you. I'm let you fly. But if you coming around that, you get that curl flat and you go to turn up. Oh, yeah, I'm gonna hit you and I'm gonna let you go. You know, I used to like a thousand percent.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Damn.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
That's just. That's just the way things go.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Coach, come get this, man.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Look, come get this, man.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
We ain't going ones on ones, man. Let me go. I'm gonna go in when the two is going, hey,
Joe (Joe Haden)
but.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
But I was the type of person, man, I needed to actually get the. Get the feel for it. I need. I need to have the actual play. Like, so me looking at it and just going over it and over it did me no good. Like, I'm like, yo, I need to know, even if it's just the first, you know, five yards, I gotta give it, get everything that, you know, I got. And in that process, if you in that five yards, you go get that full speed.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah, yeah.
Joe (Joe Haden)
That's what I would. I would get into that training camp. But then one on ones, all that. I love all that smoke. I love all that smoke. Because that's when you get better. That's when you really compete, man.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah, same.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Yeah, yeah, for sure, brother. We got boss man back again. Two dollars, it said. And Joe, any advice for my son playing flag football? He is six. You got any advice for him, Joe?
Joe (Joe Haden)
Listen, just work on your flag pulling. Listen to Coach Hayton. Work on your flag pulling. Listen to your coach. Hopefully you got a good coach.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
It's all about what if his coach is trash?
Joe (Joe Haden)
It's all about right now. It honestly doesn't matter. It's all about effort. It's all about effort. All about trying your hardest. All about running in the direction of the other team and pulling their flags. Literally. Deebo is not too much going on out there. There we running. We running. It's seven people. We got two corners, two safeties, two backers, and a Rusher smooth.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Y' all get the rest.
Joe (Joe Haden)
One rush, you got to be 7 yards off the ball. Juice, you ever play?
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Hey, Jarvis, you want to get into the flag Olympics because Joe Burrow might be the quarterback if he don't come to Pittsburgh.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah, definitely. I definitely be up. All I need. Give me good. Give me a get good little. Little month.
Joe (Joe Haden)
A little month.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
All right.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
You still moving around.
Joe (Joe Haden)
You still act?
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah, yeah, I'm still active. I don't. I'll be honest, I don't live as much anymore. I don't live really, but I play pickleball a lot. I play pickleball
Joe (Joe Haden)
all right.
Podcast Host / Advertiser
With the pickleball.
Joe (Joe Haden)
That's some good cardio.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
70 something year old man out there talking crazy pickleball.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Us, the future. The future of athletes transitioning.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I'm telling you, when it's. When it's over with and you can't
Joe (Joe Haden)
act no more, you gotta even gotta move.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
You just.
Joe (Joe Haden)
You just be. You be dinking, they call it.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
Advertiser / Narrator
That's it.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
What's dink?
Joe (Joe Haden)
You know, I know.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Yeah, we gotta get. We gotta get. We gotta get people out there, man. Yeah, we gotta get Debo out there, man.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
It made me, not it. This is the thing. The people that I see, I'm judgmental, yes, I shouldn't be, but the body, not even the people, the body types that I see talking about people do not look like people that need to be talking about.
Joe (Joe Haden)
That's the beauty of it. And watch and they mess around and be nice and I'm telling you, that'd
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
be the coldest one around.
Joe (Joe Haden)
I'm telling you.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Listen, if they beat me, we got.
Joe (Joe Haden)
See, you wanna see.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Pickleball is a friendly sport.
Joe (Joe Haden)
There you go.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
It's friendly sports.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I'm fighting a 75 year old man. Yes.
Joe (Joe Haden)
And pickleball. That's how I feel about them old.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
In golf you play somebody fight or flight, bro.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Hey, you golfing, man?
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I got the. I got, I got all of the utensils. I just don't use them.
Joe (Joe Haden)
You got all the utensils, I just don't use them.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Ain't nothing wrong with that. Jarvis, I got to you, I ain't even got the utensils, bro. Listen, bro, I went out there and I called myself, you know, driving that thing. When I hit that thing, it boom. But it just shot. It shoots to the right.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Yeah, you slicing it, you slicing it.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
So I figured if I swung harder, it might go straight. Dang work. Hey, man, I pulled my damn.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Oh. Oh, yeah.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Yeah, I said, I don't know how I did it, but I pulled my delt somehow, like swinging the damn golf club. I don't do nothing.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
That's why they say, see, you can't get hurt like that playing pickleball.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Let the club do the work.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
You can't get hurt like that.
Joe (Joe Haden)
You're not supposed to be swinging the golf club that hard, though, though. That's what it was.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Somebody that just passed away playing pickleball, bro.
Joe (Joe Haden)
What?
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Yes, A old, older man passed away playing pickleball. I guess he went to hit something, he fell, hit his head, went. Was in a. Was in a coma, and they. They ended up pulling the plug. I ain't lying to you.
Joe (Joe Haden)
That's real talking that. Well.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Well, I'm still.
Joe (Joe Haden)
That's.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
That's a freak accident. That's a freak for sure. Yeah. God was a source.
Joe (Joe Haden)
That was strong. You ain't what you had to pull up with the man, bruh.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
I'm just telling you, it's dangerous where
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
you gotta wear the safest.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
That means something.
Joe (Joe Haden)
It's crazy.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Pickleball.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Pickleball is more dangerous than football, I'm telling you.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Hey, let's get it started. Listen, y', all, listen. Y' all heard it from. Y' all heard it from Jarvis right now, baby. Pickleball, more dangerous. And I don't be out there playing.

Yes, sir.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
Man, listen, bro, I haven't officially retired yet, but I will say.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Come on.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I would say this. It's been a honor, bro, watching both of y' all play the game at a high level for as long as y' all played the game. I have a tremendous amount of respect and love for both of you.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Thank you.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
I played against both of you multiple times. You know, it's. It's. It's a privilege to sit here across the screen and have a conversation and share brotherhood and love and respect. You guys deserve your flowers. I really do appreciate y' all giving me the platform to be able to speak with y', all, man. It means a lot. I know y' all both personally good dudes, man. Y' all had great careers, good fathers, great family men, great teammates, and I just wanted to share that with y', all, bro, because it was on my heart, you know? I mean, I don't even know, you know, what it was on my heart.
Debo (Deebo Samuel)
Appreciate it.
Joe (Joe Haden)
Thank you, bro. That's what it's all about. It's there.
Jarvis (Jarvis Landry)
It's there.
Joe (Joe Haden)
My good man. My good man.
