James Deebo Harrison
Welcome back to the Deebo and Joe Show. I am your host, James Deebo Harrison. I'm here with my co host, Joe Hayden. Make sure you guys like and subscribe. You don't want to miss nothing that we got going on. So, Joe, I went ahead and wore my collar shirt today.
Joe Hayden
Okay.
James Deebo Harrison
Make sure I keep myself professional. And I don't, I don't go to saying things that's unprofessional, you know, so that's, yeah, that's, that's why I had to put on.
Joe Hayden
That's why you put on the shirt. Okay. You keeping it classy today?
James Deebo Harrison
Got to, got to 100, 100, you know, after, you know, Sunday, I'm not feeling myself. You know what I mean? So. Okay, but we, we'll get into that. Let's, let's, let's see what went down with this Eagles super bowl rematch with the Chiefs, man. Okay, so the Chiefs obviously lost. We know that they're now 0 and 2 for the first time since 2014. Dude, Patrick Mahomes starts 0 and 2 for the first time since his sophomore year in high school, bruh. Yes, tell me about it. Jalen Hurts is now 3 and 2 against PAT, including the playoffs, 2 and 1 in the regular season, brother. What do you have to say about this, brother?
Joe Hayden
I think so. Long story short, this is, this is not Good for the. For the Chiefs. I didn't think they started off too well this season, obviously going on too. But this is my thing. This is my take on the game. Let's just get into what I think went down. I think the Chiefs need to start getting a run game. They're depending too much on Patrick Mahomes to be Patrick Mahomes. And I know that's going to be the situation where he's going to do great things, he's going to be able to use his legs, he's going to be able to extend plays, but there's no running game. We need to see more Pacheco, we need to see more Kareem Hunt more. Just being able to get some play action, being able to just take some pressure off of him. So that was one of my main things there. And then at the same time, him and Travis Kelce, Travis was balling. When you're playing against. When it's good on good. When you're playing against a team like the Eagles, those little things like that, that drop in the end zone, that's.
James Deebo Harrison
Not a drop that turned into a pick.
Joe Hayden
So that turned into. That mean that drop was turned into a turnover. You know what I'm saying? Which was turning the points. And when you give the Eagles team which does have a run game, them being able to give the ball to Saquon Barkley, Jalen Hurts, didn't have the numbers, didn't do extremely too well. But when it was third and 10, when it was time, that ball to Devonte Smith on the. To catch that ball on third and 10 and then. And then for them to be able to get the tush push, you know what I'm saying? Score that touchdown and then not giving the ball back to Patrick Mahomes, that's the thing I love about them instead of the thing that the Ravens would do, would kick it back to him, give him a chance. No, let's finish this here. Our team's better than yours. We're going to get this first down and we're going to walk out of the stadium. He's not worried about yards. He's not worried about how many. All this. No. I left this game and we won and y' all lost and we're going to get to the next stadium. So that's why I rock with the Eagles big time. Not getting ball back to the Chiefs. But then with the Chiefs, when you're playing good on good, you're going to. You can't make turnovers like that. But at the End at the same time, you need some run game. Patrick Mahomes needs some help there. Where you do have Pacheco, you do have Kareem Hunt. Get them involved where they're, like, toting it so they have to worry about them. So I think it was a really good game. I think the Chiefs still got stuff to work on, you know what I'm saying? As far as, like, run game wise, Patrick Mahomes is still nice, but the Eagles, I think it's more Eagles good. Getting out of that stadium, playing winning football. And I think that's. That's what it is. When I see the Eagles play. That's just a great football team.
James Deebo Harrison
Yeah, I think, you know, the offense is built to run the football. You went and got Saquon for a reason, and he's doing exactly what it is that, you know, y' all want him to do.
Joe Hayden
They're.
James Deebo Harrison
They're winning with the time of possession. You know, they're giving their defense time to rest, which is, you know, letting them. When they run the ball, you know, he's. He's not getting stopped for negative yards very often. So they're staying ahead of the chains.
Joe Hayden
Thousand percent.
James Deebo Harrison
Defense gets the rest. They come out there, and when it comes down to it, you know, just the last, you know, couple games, like, the defense plays better than the defense that they play against, and they do enough so that they can be in those situations to win those games.
Joe Hayden
Come that fourth quarter, they said, complimentary football, bro.
James Deebo Harrison
Yes, very. Oh, yes, dude. It's very, very, very complimentary Football. Football. You know, when you look at it, I think it was Chris. Was it Chris Jones? Yeah. Chris Jones had said to Hertz at the end of the game, he said, you didn't even get 100 yards. And hurt said, we won the game. Shut your ass up. You know, that's. That's really what it came down to. He did what was necessary for his team to win. He may not have put up the numbers that, you know, he had put up in the super bowl, but he did what was necessary for his team to win. And I think that's all you can ask for, is for the offense and defense to complement each other and special teams add into it. And that's, you know, that's really what they have going on right now, you know, over in Philly. And you. You really can't knock it too much, man.
Joe Hayden
You love to see it at the end of the day, you know what I'm saying? People love to see points. You want to see Your quarterback throwing points.
James Deebo Harrison
I like seeing a hard fought defensive game where I don't want to see 500 yards on the field. I don't, I don't want to see. That's not exciting to me, dude. I don't understand that. I don't.
Joe Hayden
I mean, somebody's playing bad. Somebody's playing. It's bad football being played.
James Deebo Harrison
Oh, no question.
Joe Hayden
Yards, you know what I'm saying? Passing, you know what I'm saying? Somebody's getting.
James Deebo Harrison
Yes, yes. Who's in the wrong spot. Yeah. So that's when we go get to where I had to go ahead put my college shirt on. Know I had to get professional because we gotta, yeah, got, we gotta talk about my Steelers, you know, so.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, I don't see all the.
James Deebo Harrison
It's bad. Yeah, yeah, we, we lost.
Joe Hayden
My question was, look, this is what I wanted to talk to you about, James. I wanted to see how high you were with the Steelers win. And if you get real cranky and start wearing collar shirts when they lose, I guess you start wearing collar shirts when they lose. Double towed up when they win.
James Deebo Harrison
Hey, I'mma tell you, it ain't nothing like when you lose and you actually playing. It ain't nothing like that.
Joe Hayden
You're right. You know.
James Deebo Harrison
As soon as I left the game, brother, I wasn't bad, you know, I was, I was, I was pretty good.
Joe Hayden
You were present. You were in the building.
James Deebo Harrison
Yes, yes. Oh, I was in the building, brother. So, yeah, it's not that, you know, it's not the same, not the same concept as when you're, you know, you're actually playing the game.
Joe Hayden
Okay. No, for sure.
James Deebo Harrison
For the first time since 2002, the Steelers have allowed more than 30 points. In the first two games, the Steelers defense gave up 14 plays of 10 yards or more. The defense with six first. With six former first rounders allowed back to back 100 yard rushers. Goodness, man. God, Stillers don't give up rushing. They. We. That's just something as a, as a base. That's one of the things that's supposed to be the standard. You don't give up 100 yard rusher and dude, I don't. I really can't understand what's going on with the defense. I'm, I'm nervous. I'm, I'm scared. I'm, I'm. Yeah, I'm. I'm actually a little past that, dude. Like the defense is bad, dude. Like, you gave up 32 points to the jets, right? Four, almost 400 yards, dude. What was it 182 rushing and the Bills just dog walked the jets, dude. Yeah, we gave up 154 yards total, dude. Like, we're in trouble, man.
Joe Hayden
What do you think the problem is, dude?
James Deebo Harrison
We can't stop the run. We can't get consistent pressure on the quarterback. You got, dude. What, what is it? What's his name? Damn. Darnold hit us for almost 300.
Joe Hayden
No, like, hit us with two.
James Deebo Harrison
Walker hit us for 105 rushing, dude.
Joe Hayden
He was averaged almost. Well, he was over.
James Deebo Harrison
He was over eight yards of rush, dude. Our offensive line is bad, dude. We can't get a running game going. Jalen Warren is having to break a tackle in the backfield 25 of the time, dude, if not more before he gets out the backfield.
Joe Hayden
Jalen Warren was the only bright spot I would say out there.
James Deebo Harrison
No, we can't. We can't protect.
Joe Hayden
He was our leading catcher out there. He was our leading pass catcher. We can't have our leading cat, right?
James Deebo Harrison
And then, then the receiver started dropping passes, dude. Like.
Joe Hayden
I don't.
James Deebo Harrison
It was.
Joe Hayden
It didn't.
James Deebo Harrison
Look, I was a little distraught anyway. And then you got the, you got the turnover, like right there in the end zone. That didn't help us at all. And then on top of that, like when it came down to it, we lost the turnover takeover ratio because the special teams just. Johnson just had a brain fart. I don't know what happened. There I am, dude. I'm up at. I'm bumping the top. You know, I'm in the suite over there. And as soon as he touched the ball, dude, the first thing I did and he didn't turn and go to it. I'm yelling like he can hear me. Get the ball, dude. I'm screaming and yelling like he hear me. I'm like, yo. I'm like, I'm invested in this a little too deep right now. I'm yelling from like, you know, like the 400 right there. You know where you. Underneath the.
Joe Hayden
I know exactly what you're talking.
James Deebo Harrison
I'm yelling from the 400 like he can hear me, you know, like, oh, we are. We are in trouble, dude.
Joe Hayden
That did. It just wasn't like. That's what I'm saying though, Debo. It just that those things like Danny Smith. We talked about Danny Smith special teams is. He teaches that. That's what you got. Like, that's something. I don't think that Danny, Danny Smith does not, not teach that stuff. He doesn't teach because I used to Be the returner in that meeting room. He would teach us about the. Keeping your foot out of bounds when you. When you're trying to get it.
James Deebo Harrison
Yeah, grab the ball, put one foot in, one foot out.
Joe Hayden
Now, all of that stuff. So just a little. The little nuances that you wouldn't really know. He would definitely teach us all of that stuff. So just going into the game, that. That's a brain fart, but that's something that's going to put you behind the eight ball. That's not. That's seven points. You know what I'm saying? And playing in games like this, when the offense isn't going like that, we're not getting that.
James Deebo Harrison
That. That put us down by 10 right then and there, like, brother.
Joe Hayden
And then it's not.
James Deebo Harrison
Like, how do you not even attempt? Like, the whole stadium is yelling, get the ball.
Joe Hayden
That. That. For sure. For sure. I mean, he. He. Yeah, he. He W' ed out right there. That's not. That's. There's no excuses for that, bro. We're professionals. You're the kickoff return of the starting.
James Deebo Harrison
You start him.
Joe Hayden
You back there. Know what I'm saying? Know everything about there. No excuse. I say this too, though. Like, even with the run, the run, the run defense is looking kind of crazy. I think it's got. It got to be gaps. It got to be. You know what I'm saying? Because he's sometimes getting to the second level with. Without getting touched. You know what I'm saying? So that's just.
James Deebo Harrison
I don't. Listen. I don't know. I know we're bad. Like, we need. We need to. We need to get better. But then I'm trying to look at it and I'm like, is this a scheme thing? Like, are we just got to a point to where we're trying to cover everything and we're covering nothing now? Like, what is going on?
Joe Hayden
I would say some of the things, though, I would see simple mental errors. You know, Coach T, how he thrives on don't get beat to the flat. Don't get beat to the flat. We were seeing, when he's doing boots, just people running butt naked open to the flat, you know what I'm saying? For, like, catching runs for 30, 40 yards. I'm like, that's just discipline. You know what I'm saying? That's somebody's assignment that. Where's your man? Like, that needs to be your man. When they're running, we're running deep overs, and I'm seeing Jalen and them, dudes, coming across or the dig routes, you know what I'm saying? Like, there's. There's gaps, and some of these are zone coverages, you know what I'm saying? Some of these are, man, but we got to be able to understand who has who. There's a reason we're not covering everything, but, like, they're gonna be able to do catch and tackles. But people running scot free through your secondary makes no sense. You know what I'm saying? Someone should be around there.
James Deebo Harrison
Yeah, I think the big thing with the zone is, yeah, that's your zone, but when you get a guy that sits down in your zone, you want to kind of try and relate to him, you know what I'm saying? No, no, no, no, no.
Joe Hayden
A thousand percent. If somebody.
James Deebo Harrison
We're not even relating, like, he's just going there, scooting down, sitting there, and we're making. Like, we didn't even see or. Or feel this dude. Like, you gotta. You gotta have something.
Joe Hayden
We're saying. We're saying the same thing. Once someone gets into your zone, then we're matching. We're matching. We're matching because, you know, these fire zones. It's zone then, man, once he gets. Once he's in your zone that you.
James Deebo Harrison
Gotta take until he get out of your zone and get back. Like you. You passing basically to the next song. Like, we're just sitting there like, oh, my zone is right here in front of this hash. And yeah, I see him sitting in between the hashes, but. Or I don't feel him, whatever that may be. And I'm not gonna try and at least scoot that way to try and, you know, try and relate to him. I don't. Yeah, I don't. I don't know. Like I said, we're bad right now on both sides of the. Of the line on defense and offense. And when you don't have success there, you cannot have success on the football field. And that's where we at.
Joe Hayden
You gotta control the line of scrimmage.
James Deebo Harrison
I don't to. They average. Distillers only average five yards a play. Like, how. How do you average only 5 yards to play? And you're. You're passing the rock. Like. I don't. I think. You know what it was. I got too excited.
Joe Hayden
I know. You got real hype. It was a lot of wee, wee, wee, wee, wee.
James Deebo Harrison
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You know the Steelers. I've been doing a lot of the Steelers right now. You know what I'm saying? Like, I done separated.
Joe Hayden
Now you back vested.
James Deebo Harrison
Yeah. Like, you know, the most successful runs that they. Or passes that they have was the short stuff, you know, giving it to the running back. He just, you know, he just darting up out of there.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, it was Jalen Warren, man, getting. Getting Yak, getting y' alls after the catch, jumping over people, hurdling folks, giving everything he had. But at the same time, like, we need some more dk. We need some more to figure out a way to get Calvin Austin. He's speeding.
James Deebo Harrison
DK was dropping the ball. He don't normally do that. You know what I'm saying? So it was. It was a. It's a. It's a combination. But the big thing is we got to get settled up front on both sides of the ball so that you can do what it is football is made to do. Pass the ball, run the ball, stop the pass. Stop the run.
Joe Hayden
Yeah.
James Deebo Harrison
Because we can't do either one of those. It's gonna be trouble, dude.
Joe Hayden
It's gonna be trouble, bro. We can't have Walker. He was running through the defense when we trying to get more possessions. We got to be able to stop them run. And we can't keep having just big plays.
James Deebo Harrison
What was it? 8.
Joe Hayden
8.
James Deebo Harrison
8 yards a to 8. 81 a tote.
Joe Hayden
81 a tote is crazy.
James Deebo Harrison
He only had 13 carries, dude.
Joe Hayden
That's what I'm saying. Like, it's guaranteed first downs, man. Get up. Get that dude the ball two times. Yeah.
James Deebo Harrison
Anyway, man, listen. I really. To the Cowboys, man.
Joe Hayden
Was crazy.
James Deebo Harrison
Shootout in the fourth quarter, man. Dak Prescott in the fourth quarter versus the Giants. He was 15 or 20, 187 yards, one touchdown, 116 pass already. That's nothing new to me. That like that. I think that's the thing he do in the fourth quarter, and most of the time, it was because they was down and you playing a little lighter defense. But I don't. You know, I don't know if that was the case here. It's the Giants, so it is kind of to be, you know, a little bit, you know, But I will say this. Would it being the Giants and them having the defense that they have, I don't know if the Cowboys are better than what we thought they were right now. You know, they won the game. That's good. But you let The Giants put 37 on you, brother. 506 yards, 405 passing, and no real pressure on rush. You are missing Micah Parsons right now because you look at it, a week ago, Washington held him to only 231 yards. They couldn't even piss a drop. Now, you come in here and you throw up five, you got a shootout with them. So you got to play Washington. I don't know if that's going to fare well for you, considering you both played the same opponent and it's two totally different outcomes. So I don't think they. I don't. I don't think they. I think I overreacted the first week.
Joe Hayden
You know, they ain't really. You said they ain't really proved too much right here.
James Deebo Harrison
No, I think they actually put me back into the mindset of the Cowboys that they have been and were. Actually, it's a little worse now because 506 yards to the giants. 405. Cooking. I mean, to the. Yeah, to the giants. 405. Cooking. Russell cooking now, bro.
Joe Hayden
That's why I'm trying to wrestle. And I thought they won that game when he threw that bomb. He did.
James Deebo Harrison
They had more yards.
Joe Hayden
They had more yards. They were. They. They looked good. I don't know. So the good thing is just speak for Russell, they ended up. He bought himself some time because I. Even though they lost this game, Russell was cooking, Russell was balling. Russell wasn't the reason why they lost this game. Their defense needed to play a little bit better and make some more stops. Like they scored that touchdown with 25 seconds left. I'm like, oh, Russell just won this game. Came back like the offense was playing amazing. Their defense blew it, letting them get down and make that field goal with 25 seconds left. You need to play. Somehow they get into prevent defense where they just letting Dak. That's what we always talk about. A little bit more pressure. Don't give him 25 yards of just free chill.
James Deebo Harrison
Standing back, cushioning, cushioning.
Joe Hayden
Turn around, walk right on him. Like, that's just pitch and catch. You gotta throw them. And you. You're not playing to. When you're playing not to lose, and that's how you lose the game. So that's just. That's my thing there. But Russell played really, really good. Russell played good enough to win, and that's. That's just a good step for the Giants. But with all that being said, I don't think they're that good of a team anyway. And for them and for the Cowboys to get out with a win, that's bravo. Bravo. I think you're a better team. You should have got out there with a win. There's no reason that I don't think they should Be on the field with you guys like that. But it was somehow y' all won that game, so I don't. I'm not. I mean, hey, it doesn't make me feel too much better about.
James Deebo Harrison
He still had to kick a 64 yard field goal to even.
Joe Hayden
Man, they kicker is amazing. He's not tripping. He's not tripping. Soon as he gets to the 50, they feel like they got a field goal. You know what I'm saying? Then they. They're. The Cowboys kicker is unbelievable.
James Deebo Harrison
Oh, no question, dude. He got two of the. I think he got two of the four longest kicks in NFL history. Oh, he's making 64 yards or longer. Yeah, yeah, for sure. He doing the thing. He already. He already probo already.
Joe Hayden
Oh, for sure.
James Deebo Harrison
Just. Just right there off that long. As long as he don't. As long as he don't do nothing crazy.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, him and bankroll him and bankroll Boss.
James Deebo Harrison
But then like, like, you know, on the other side, like the Giants, they. They really didn't help they self. You know, the first drive, you got the tackle, James Hudson, who committed four penalties on the one drive. He had a unnecessary roughness. He had a false start, another unnecessary roughness, and another false start. So they benched him. So it says Hudson was benched the following drive and got into it on the sideline with the ball. Is that how you say that?
Joe Hayden
Yeah, Coach Debo.
James Deebo Harrison
Debo. Yeah, Coach Debo last week. Mickey Kyle. Neat. Neighbors Neighbors.
Joe Hayden
Malik Neighbors. Malik Neighbors. Number one Uno big.
James Deebo Harrison
That bigger. Malik Neighbors has issues with the same.
Joe Hayden
With the same.
James Deebo Harrison
That's Daybo.
Joe Hayden
That's David Wyatt, man. You just get the coach Day ball. Brian Dava.
James Deebo Harrison
All right, so now this week is Hudson's. Is Hudson acting up on the sideline? And you had Malik last week. You think he's. He got an issue over there? You think he can, uh, lead this team or you think they just ain't got no confidence in him?
Joe Hayden
I think you could lead the team.

@Sonos.Com, would you guys consider anything Less than a championship to be a failure from this year. I wouldn't say anything is a failure, especially because we all grow every day. Obviously, the goal is a championship.
Joe Hayden
That's. There's no doubt in that. And that's the goal.

Joe Hayden
I think it's two separate situations. I think Neighbors was going at Coach Davo because he wanted the ball. He's trying to just get the offense going. He just don't feel like, you know what I'm saying, he was getting involved enough. Hudson's wiling. Hudson, you committed four fouls on one drive back to back to back to back. You're the problem. I don't know what Daybo is doing that you're committing all these fouls. You know what I'm saying? Has nothing to do with him. That's you being not, not being professional, not being ready. False starting, unnecessary roughness, getting in your feelings, like doing stuff after the play, causing penalty yards.
James Deebo Harrison
You're getting, you're getting penalties before and after, you're tripping penalties during the play, during the play hold or whatever that's gonna happen.
Joe Hayden
And then you're doing stuff right here, roughness after play. You know what I'm saying? Like you're losing yourself. So I think that there's two different separate things that Coach Davo's getting after. With Neighbors and him, it's just really, he's trying to get better. He's trying to get the ball. Coach, what's up? Like, I'm trying to figure something out. Great player. I want to get the ball. I want to do better. Hudson, I Think he's tripping on the sideline? I don't know what the situation was, but you are unnecessary roughest. You have two of those pals and you have two false start fouls. What do you do?
James Deebo Harrison
That's what I want to know. Those are personal files, right? Do you get fined for those?
Joe Hayden
I don't know. I think it might depend on the unnecessary roughness.
James Deebo Harrison
If you hit a quarterback, it's unnecessary roughness. You get fine for that.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, Yeah. I mean, yeah, yeah, probably. I. I don't. Do you get fine for every. Every hit you get on the quarterback? That's unnecessary.
James Deebo Harrison
Not. Not necessarily. It depends if they thought it was correct call or not. So.
Joe Hayden
Okay, okay.
James Deebo Harrison
Sometimes they make a call and they'll look at it later on and you won't get a, you know, you won't get a. A fine for it.
Joe Hayden
Okay.
James Deebo Harrison
It's all depending on what they see and they actually do do that. So it's not automatic, you know.
Joe Hayden
Okay. So. Yeah, I don't know if he got fined for them or what, What. What kind of unnecessary roughnesses he had, but he. He was wild. I don't know why he was over there arguing.
James Deebo Harrison
I see you got your Cleveland, you, Cleveland stuff on. You got. Come on, you got. You got. You got some, some good stuff to say about Cleveland because, I mean, the Ravens just beat these boys 41 to 17. You know, Kyle Van. Van. No, he said all they had to do was go to go to dinner as a team, man, get it together, man, make sure they don't have no more collapses like they did in the last last week of the fourth quarter. Man, it worked. The Ravens now, what, 13 and two following losses since 2020. 20, 22. Yeah, it was 10, three at halftime. Game was going good. I thought you was probably like pounding your chest like we about to do this, huh?
Joe Hayden
No, the defense, man, they was playing really, really well. They was playing really well keeping the game close. Flacco was just doing. It was a lot of check downs at the beginning of the game almost. Then when it was getting tight, almost through the pick six, he had to strip, sack, fumble. So, I mean, Flacco wasn't doing too well this game. I think the defense was trying to keep us into the game as long as they could. We started doing just errors. Delpit, shout out. Delpit. He prevented two touchdowns. He balled out. He did his part. I mean, I had eyes on him, just watching him to see how good he played. Very, very, very good to see him ball out. But I don't think our offense did too well. Like, there was just too many checkdowns. We didn't take really any chances down the field. And then when we did, we threw picks, and it just didn't look like our offense had too much going at all. The defense was trying to keep us in the game, but, oh, yeah, at the end of the day, once that second half came, it just was too. Too much for us.
James Deebo Harrison
Oh, no question. Like. Like. Like Miles Garrett said. I guess after the game, he said, I mean, this shit is embarrassing. We got to do better on defense. We got to do better as a team. I mean, I think that's cool that. That, you know, he. He said that. But, you know, it's. It's. It's fought everywhere. And like you said, at the end of it, the second half, they gave up a lot of points, I guess. So. Yeah, you know, they. They got to do their part, too.
Joe Hayden
The bomb, the D hop, man, look, it's. It's. It's like we said earlier, Debo, it's three phases. You got offense, you got defense, and you got special teams. They gave up a big old punt return or kick return, and at the same time, they gave up a pump block that basically was a touchdown. So our special teams wasn't playing well at all. The defense was doing. They were fighting at the first half, trying to keep it reasonable, but then, like, you got it.
James Deebo Harrison
You get these short fields.
Joe Hayden
You trying to give them short fields. And then at the same day, bomb. The D hop. D hop had a great play. Lamar Jackson scrambling using his feet, and then they still had Derrick Henry running the ball. So defense was fighting.
James Deebo Harrison
But you.
Joe Hayden
You can only do.
James Deebo Harrison
If you just sit back and you were to just look at the numbers, not. Not look at the game, you would be like, how did this game end up? 41 to 17.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, because they were putting just short fields, like you said, pump blocks, easy situations where, like, nobody's helping each other out. You know what I'm saying? So special teams wasn't helping out situations. Defense was fighting. Offense wasn't really putting defense in good spots. So it just was a whole.
James Deebo Harrison
Overall.
Joe Hayden
The team just got to do better, man. It didn't. It didn't look too good.
James Deebo Harrison
Do you. Do you think it should be a quarterback change? Kevin Stefanski said after the game that he won't consider a change at quarterback in week. In week three.
Joe Hayden
I think he's just trying to. I mean, I think he's trying to build himself some more time, but I'm not gonna lie. When Dylan came in there at the end, even if it's gonna be Dylan, I like Shador. Somebody with some spunk that's gonna give us some spark. I love Floyd Flacco. I know. But we know what he's gonna give us. He's going to check it down. He's going to try to be consistent. He's going to be a veteran that's going to try to steer the ship. We know he's going to do for us. When we had these younger guys in there, he's faster. He's more athletic. He's mobile the pass. When he's in there, he's throw. He's throwing touchdown passes. He doesn't really throw too many interceptions. And he's. He's young. He looks like he's ready. So if the Browns want to give some more, if you want to have some more chances to put a spark in your offense, the younger dudes are ready. They're sitting there. It looks like Flacco, at the end of the day, when he keeps doing these check downs to me, I'm like, the one reason why I do like him because if you're going to. You can throw a decent. You can throw a good fly ball, you can throw a good fade, you can throw a good deep post, a good overball. If you're not going to throw them, then I put the other dudes in there. You know what I'm saying? Anybody could kind of check the ball down. We need. We need more points. We need.
James Deebo Harrison
And once you put one of the other guys in there, you add into a component of them being able to run. And now you can't just, you know, turn your back and lock up everybody or just go ahead and do whatever it is you want to do it while you're rushing, you know, come inside, outside. However it is that you want to rush them, you got to take into account now, like, oh, hold up. This quarterback can run. He could. He could get out the pocket on me. So now you got to rush in your lanes correctly instead of taking those liberties that you. You. You're going to take with Flacco. You're not worried about him, you know, getting out of the pocket, taking off on you. You know, worst thing he gonna do is get out the pocket and maybe get a couple yards. If he. If he does that and he's gonna get down. I mean, he. He. He's. I think he a little older than me. No, I'm saying y. Y' all pick up, you know, y. Browns you know, they're. They'll basically get, you know, anything that they. They think can help them and then just rationalize everything else out. You know, I don't know how y' all work over there. What wouldn't. Like, what's. The components that be like, all right, I'm gonna put this guy here and we're gonna do this, like, just go ahead and say, you know what, we're rebuilding and start with one of your young guys and. Because I don't. I don't think it's gonna get. It can't get much worse, right?
Joe Hayden
I mean, right now, right now, when I saw that offense the other day when I was watching Flacco just throw the ball, you know what I'm saying? Give it a chance. You know what I'm saying? We know what it is. I mean, we need something different, I think, behind the quarterback. And that game just wasn't too. He just didn't do too much for me. And I like Flacco, but I'm just saying, from a fan's perspective, if you want to be able to get a spark going on the offense, that just. It just looked real vanilla.
James Deebo Harrison
I mean, it wasn't that bad until, like you said, they got into the second half. It was, you know, it was close up until then, you know what I'm saying?
Joe Hayden
We didn't get no. But offense, we. We didn't score any. We didn't.
James Deebo Harrison
No, no, you didn't. That's true.
Joe Hayden
Defense played good. Was fighting as long as they could.
James Deebo Harrison
I mean, defense been playing good both weeks, though. When you.
Joe Hayden
When you look at it, I'm not mad at the defense at all. You can. You're gonna do it. You're gonna fight and just make sure you try to keep the yards down. But if you get put in short field positions and you're continuing to be on the field all the time, you know what I'm saying? That makes it tough.
James Deebo Harrison
Yeah, the short field makes it. Makes it real, real tough because now you got to go out there and try and put the fire out. And, you know, worst case scenario, in some of those situations, the best you're going to be able to do is three, you know, unless they go and shank a field goal or something. So, yeah, I'm not. I'm not too. I'm not too hype on the grounds. I don't. I want them to keep Flacco in there as long as they can, especially when they come play us, like, keep him in there when they. When they come play like, make sure you put him back in there, man.
Joe Hayden
That the record ain't gonna matter when we come play, y'.
James Deebo Harrison
All.
Joe Hayden
You already know what it is, Depot. That. That. It don't matter. They're gonna try to finagle something.
James Deebo Harrison
They're gonna try to finagle something, man.
Joe Hayden
They did it in the playoffs.
James Deebo Harrison
Oh, man. Let's go over here to the Bengals, man. The Bengals and the Jaguars, dude. Bengals beat them 31 to 27. But Joe Burrow is dealing with turf toe that may require surgery. He's expected to be sidelined for approximately three months. Dude.
Joe Hayden
That'S a minute.
James Deebo Harrison
Do you think they can win with Jake Browning? Well, with him missing that much time.
Joe Hayden
I don't know too much about their backup quarterback. But I'm just. I'm just sad for Joe Burrow now 23.
James Deebo Harrison
I think he went four and three and seven starts in 23.
Joe Hayden
Okay, okay. I'm just sad about Joe Burrow now, though, man, because he gonna be out for a minute, and this is just becoming a thing, you know what I'm saying? He missed a lot of games. 20, 20, 20, 23, now 2025. He says he's missing up to three months. I could be. You know what I'm saying? 12 games. I just hoping not all of these injuries don't keep adding up, you know what I'm saying? Building up, making sure that. Because it just seemed like a. I don't want it to be a pattern. I hope Joe Burrow stays healthy, but I just want him to, you know, I'm saying, watch himself, but I don't. I don't think this is a good. Good thing for the Bengals at all. Joe Burrow is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He's one of my top five. He doesn't. He makes all of our.
James Deebo Harrison
I just.
Joe Hayden
He does all for me.
James Deebo Harrison
I don't. I don't think they have a shot with the other guy. The defense is not playing that well right now. They have times or series that they do well, and then when it comes down to the whole. The whole game, it's. It's not. It's not always as consistent as it needs to be. I just don't. I don't like it without having Burrow in there to go ahead and. And throw points up, you know what I'm saying?
Joe Hayden
I don't like it at all without your Burrow. The Bengals.
James Deebo Harrison
You know, I don't think they're one of the defenses that it would be difficult to, you know, score 31 on. So.
Joe Hayden
Yep. I don't think that the Jaguars are not. Not doing too much this year either. So them doing that on them.
James Deebo Harrison
They got Travis going both ways. That.
Joe Hayden
Or what they do. I mean, I think this, this in this game, that first game, he think he played like six snaps on defense and probably like 35 on offense. And I think this one he might have played. I think. I know he played more so I know he had a pass breakup. I saw a great pass breakup. Had about two tackles. So he looked. He looked better. He's like. He's getting more comfortable. I want him to. I don't know exactly how they're doing it. I think that he can be. I think he could do. I think he could do more plays. I think. I think he wants to. I think they will want to. If it was up to me, I would have him start at cornerback mainly. I think they want to have him at receiver because, you know, they need. They need another receiver. They think his offensive ability is going to be able to score points.
James Deebo Harrison
Why would you put him at corner like he. I think he's gonna. I think he'll get more at. At the receiver. You take him out at receiver, like who else they go throw to and then, you know, the adjustments he can make to get to the ball is unreal.
Joe Hayden
No, no, for sure.
James Deebo Harrison
You get. You're giving, you know, you give what's his name opportunities to. Not opportunities. But if he makes a Aaron throw that's high, low. Yeah. Trevor. You give Trevor, you know, leeway when he, you know, makes a. A throw that's not exactly where it should be and he can, you know, he can adjust to it and get to it. I don't, I don't. I don't see him being able to be so much better on the defensive side that I would take him off of the offensive side. I would. I would do what they're doing, but I think I would be more situational with it. I don't know.
Joe Hayden
So you would have him out? I mean, either way, I would have him play off. I love him on the offensive side of the ball. I love him on the defensive side of the ball. I think they need to give him more. I think he's ready for more snaps. Just what you think.
James Deebo Harrison
Okay, I see what you're saying, so.
Joe Hayden
You know what I'm saying?
James Deebo Harrison
Giving more and having. Going almost like he was going in college.
Joe Hayden
I mean. Yeah, kind of. Kind of.
James Deebo Harrison
Okay, kind of.
Joe Hayden
But I. Because I think on the, on the offensive side of the ball, at Receiver. There's a lot of plays where receivers don't play 100 of the snaps, period. No, you know what I'm saying? They rotate. So it's a way to. Even if you're the number one receiver, your ass could play 80% of the snaps, you know what I'm saying? So if Travis Hunter is the number two receiver on the team, he could play fit 60 of the snaps. There's not all formations, not all the stuff where if there's two wise, sometimes he'll be in, sometimes he'll be out.
James Deebo Harrison
But also if you take him out and you only got him in there, you know, say like you said 60, when you could have him 80 or 85, that takes away the defense having to worry about him and have that threat in there, you know what I'm saying?
Joe Hayden
So I just think just getting them because I think Travis Hunter, it's not that I want to. I think he's ready. I think that him being different than any like a lot of the other players from as far as we saw him do it on the defensive side of the ball, we saw him do it on the offensive side of the ball in college. But I think just his work ethic, what he does off the football field, how football is really his thing. He don't drink, he don't smoke, he's not out doing nothing else. He's trying to be in the facility and be the best player that he could be. So I think film wise, he's one of the dudes that is different that I think he's ready for more. He can take more on and he takes care of his body. Like I think starting earlier than other players would have, you know what I'm saying? So I think with all of that being said, giving him a little bit more, giving him a little bit more exposure out there on the field isn't gonna, isn't gonna hurt. I think we'll do nothing but help his, help him, help his progression and help the Jacks.
James Deebo Harrison
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I understand where you're at. Yeah, he don't do nothing but, but football and, and work out. You know, he. The biggest thing you gotta have, you gotta have the endurance in the win go both ways. You know, that that's a, that's a big thing.
Joe Hayden
And I'm not mad at it because Deebo, at the same time, but when we played like when I was a rookie in Cleveland, we said defensive snaps is out there a lot. In all special teams, we are averaging like 90 snaps a game. You know what I'm saying. So it's not that. If he's out there playing, he's. Right now he's playing 43 on defense or 40. Some 36 on defense and six on offense. That's 44 snaps in the game.
James Deebo Harrison
Playing 90 snaps a game. Bro.
Joe Hayden
Bro. I mean, that's. That's when. That's. You're on the field a lot. You're on the field a lot. Oh, and then I'm playing all four phases.
James Deebo Harrison
Yeah, I understand.
Joe Hayden
And I'm playing all.
James Deebo Harrison
Yeah, I was doing that. I was starting and playing all. All four phases.
Joe Hayden
But when you use a rookie, they're.
James Deebo Harrison
Like, getting off the field, though.
Joe Hayden
I'm doing kickoff. I'm doing kickoff return. I'm doing punt. I'm doing punt return. You know what I'm saying? And then I'm doing defense every play. And we out there for a lot defense. You'll play 65, 70 snaps, you know what I'm saying? And then 20, 25, 30. Special team. Jones, you out there?
James Deebo Harrison
Oh, dude, I didn't even think about that. I was playing like that. That's wild.
Joe Hayden
You know what I'm saying? You don't really count them, but if you put up your whole. All the snaps, really out there playing, you can get some snack. You get up there in the 90s.
James Deebo Harrison
Oh, yeah, yeah. I. I forgot all about the four. You do four. Four a quarter. That's easy. That's 16 plus your 60. You probably go do more. Yeah, you could get up there, dude. Nice and easy. But we got a problem over here in Miami, though, man.
Joe Hayden
Faux show, dude.
James Deebo Harrison
The Dolphins are 02 after a 33 to 27 loss to the Patriots. You lost to the Patriots, dude, Like. Like they allowed. Whoa, dude, listen. They allowed their opponents on the first 10 drives of this season to score. The first 10 drives, everybody scored, so Indy scored the whole game. And then the first three drives of the New England game. New England score. Dude, I think they've only stopped three times. They don't. They've only stopped the offense three times. I think so far this year, I could be wrong. Somebody looked that up. Check that out for me, dude. Like, you think it's already hopeless in Miami, dude. Think it's over?
Joe Hayden
I mean, hopeless is a big word, but, like, we got. It's not looking good. They're on a downhill spiral, I'll tell you that. They're not going this way, they're going that way. Listen, I would say that.
James Deebo Harrison
Did you hear what the coach said in this interview?
Joe Hayden
What he Said.
James Deebo Harrison
What did he say? He said, he basically. They ask him something about winning, and he basically said, well, you gotta win to win. I swear. Give me that quote. I need that quote so bad. Like, I'm looking at him and I'm like, yo, he looked like he Miami'd out, if you know what I mean. Like, what is.
Joe Hayden
Dude, it was.
James Deebo Harrison
It was. No, it was nothing in his eyes that said he was upset. It was just. And it was, dude, give me that. Somebody gotta give me that clip so you can hear it. I'm like, what did he just say? It was like, you don't know what to say. So, yeah, we got. Well, you. Dude, I'm trying to tell you. It was like, we gotta win to win. I'm trying to tell you.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, man, that's.
James Deebo Harrison
That.
Joe Hayden
That doesn't sound too motivating.
James Deebo Harrison
No, not motivating at all. Like, my coach can't even give me something, you know, on the. Just something to give us some hope. Like, you gotta win to win. I don't.
Joe Hayden
I mean, they gotta. Not getting to stop in the first 10 drives of the season is crazy.
James Deebo Harrison
Hold up. I got the quote, brother. I got the quote. Hold up. I'm gonna give you to you right now. He said, McDaniel said, to win games, you have to win games, not lose the game. You own dope. Something wrong with him.
Joe Hayden
So wrong with him, people.
James Deebo Harrison
Something wrong with him. Hey, you just said to win the game, you have to win the game, not lose the game. Who the fiddle faddle? Don't know that. Something going on over there, dog? It stink. I'm trying to tell you, it stink bad, dude. It smell like a bag of chopped up Dunkin. I'm telling you, it's bad.
Joe Hayden
What? I. I told you that I. I played for. I played for your man and he. He was our. He was our wide receiver coach in Cleveland. I said he's a very brilliant, brilliant man. He's a brilliant, brilliant mind. But I don't know if he should be a head coach because that's not a head coach answer. We gotta win the game.
James Deebo Harrison
That is not an answer from anybody I know.
Joe Hayden
I think, you know, he's trying to.
James Deebo Harrison
Say I'm just here so I don't. You sure? You might as well just went marshalling.
Joe Hayden
I'm just here so I don't get fine.
James Deebo Harrison
I'm just here so I don't get fine.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, he's just, you know. But you know, like, Bill Belichick won't even answer questions. He's being a Smart ass. He know what he's saying? He knows you got to win the game. Hey, let's lose the game.
James Deebo Harrison
Belichick be answering questions but not really answer. He don't even talk like that. He'd be mumbling and all that.
Joe Hayden
I know. That's what his.
James Deebo Harrison
That's.
Joe Hayden
That's his personality to do. The thing about Belichick of no, you got to win the game.
James Deebo Harrison
That don't even make sense. At least Belichick makes sense. To win. To win the game, you have to win the game, not lose the game. You understand that?
Joe Hayden
No, I understand. He got to be saying that because he's just annoyed with the question.
James Deebo Harrison
To win the game, you got to win the game, son, not lose the game. To all those kids out there. To everybody that's looking for the answer, I got the answer.
Joe Hayden

Would you guys consider anything less than a championship to be a failure from this year? I wouldn't say anything is a failure, especially because we all grow every day. Obviously, the goal is a championship.
Joe Hayden
That's. There's no doubt in that. And that's the goal.
Christina Williams

McDaniels. You want to win the game? To win the game, you have to win the game, not lose it. And it was like an epiphany to me. Boom. Oh, my God. He's right. I don't want none of what he's on because that was not.
Joe Hayden
I don't want nothing of what he's on.
James Deebo Harrison
You are hilarious, dude. Okay, listen, man. All right, so we will roll over here to the Bears. All right? The Bears and first year head coach Ben Johnson are 0 and 2 now. Caleb was underwhelming against him. 52, 21, lost to the Lions. Hey, see, the Lions is who I thought they was. See, they went on out there. So Green Bay is really that. Because what they did to the Lions. You know what I'm saying?
Joe Hayden
Yeah.
James Deebo Harrison
And then the Lions went over here and put them paws on them, you.
Joe Hayden
Know, like, yes, because you have to.
James Deebo Harrison
Get your hands off my child. They probably had people like, like wives and girlfriends in the stand, Moms like.
Joe Hayden
Get your hands on my baby. Get your hands on my baby. Boys like that.
James Deebo Harrison
Like, that's. That's out of control, I'm telling you.
Joe Hayden
We talked about. We talked about this. We talked about 50. You.
James Deebo Harrison
You can't. You can't. You can't put no. You can't put no 50 piece on me, man.
Joe Hayden
They went and they had a point to prove. We talked about the Lions. We said, what they gonna do? We gonna see what happens when the Bears play the lines. And I'm like, I believe in the Lions more than I believe in the Bears. Just the organization and what they got going on. And they went to prove a point. They dog stomped them boys and wasn't trying to know that. That's. I like the lines because, like, this is professional football. You know what I'm saying? Like, no disrespect, but you gotta stop it.
James Deebo Harrison
You gotta. Yeah, you gotta stop.
Joe Hayden
Keep us out the end zone. You know what I'm saying? So that's why I rock with how the Lions went about this. Like, trying to prove a point. People talking crazy about their offense. They like this. Okay, we're gonna get it popping. We're gonna get it back rocking. Running back Gibbs. We're gonna get it to Amaran St. Brown. We're gonna get it rocking. So they did a great job, and at the end of the day, you got to stop them. So I'm not mad at any team that's trying to get their self going. When you coming off a loss, coming off not playing well, coming off not feeling good, you're gonna go do what you got to do because you know if it was the other, on, on the other foot, they would try to dog stomp you. You know what I'm saying?
James Deebo Harrison
So, yeah, and they got, they got.
Joe Hayden
As many places you can.
James Deebo Harrison
For sure, for sure. And you know, they got Caleb some help and you know, in this off season they brought in a couple new pieces and you know, it just, I don't, I don't know if it, if it's really helping. I mean, did you, did you see the Bears looking this bad with them actually adding something to help him?
Joe Hayden
I didn't think they was going to look this bad. But I mean, I still, like you said, for me it's a bigger sign of, I don't know what Caleb can do. I think it's the top, it's the kitchen, whoever's bringing and putting the pieces and stuff together, it's not working. And I don't know if it's the play calling now because it's been happening to too many quarterbacks. I don't think that, I think if he were to leave and go in a different situation, he may look like a better quarterback. You know what I'm saying? I don't know what the Bears got going on over there. He doesn't look like anything's going on Time.
James Deebo Harrison
I got a backup quarterback over there now.
Joe Hayden
It's not.
James Deebo Harrison
Who? Tyson. His name is Tyson Bajan. He's a, he's a undrafted, he's an undrafted guy. I think he went in for the Bears. Yeah, yeah, I do. I'm like, he's undrafted. I think they just signed into like a ten million dollar contract like three weeks ago, bro. Like dead serious. I'm trying to tell you. Like he went in, I want to say it was the, maybe the last two series of the game.
Joe Hayden
Okay.
James Deebo Harrison
Like obviously to get some, you know, get some snaps in and you talking, you know, like I said, undrafted backup. They just got dude a ten million dollar contract three weeks ago. Oh, and his daddy dude is Travis, like the arm wrestling champion dude. Yeah. Oh yeah.
Joe Hayden
Do you think, do you think they just doing that to get them some snaps? They're not about to, they're not about to start them.
James Deebo Harrison
I just gave him, I just gave him 10 million three weeks ago. Not to, not to go ahead and maybe say, hey, maybe we, you know, maybe we done messed up Maybe we need to go ahead and see if we can't. Dad, I'm not a him. You know, at what point do you say. I mean, he don't. He don't consistently do what he needs to do. Like, the first quarter seems to be the only time he could do something. I don't know.
Joe Hayden
Yeah. If I was Caleb, I would hope they try something stupid like that and let me get up out of there and go somewhere else. Like, if they thinking crazy like that, like Caleb's the problem. I think the Bears are really lost their minds. That's just my opinion.
James Deebo Harrison
You think the Bears are the problem? You don't think he has any. No downside?
Joe Hayden
I think that he has some downside. I think that he could do better, but I think that he's not the reason why they're losing games. I don't think that he's been in a position where they're not helping him with the play calling. They're not helping them as much with the run game, with the line. He's scrambling. I just don't think with all other quarterbacks, Justin Fields is looking better. Like, then, then I think it's the coaches. I think that he is. I don't think he's being coached that well over there. That's just my personal opinion. I feel like he goes to a different team. He would do better.
James Deebo Harrison
I don't know, man. I don't know if he would. If he would do better, because I ain't. I ain't seen him do better. That's. I mean, I'm saying, you know, I'm doing like. You know, I'm doing like my guy over there, Daniels, you know, I don't know if he would do better. I ain't seen him do better.
Joe Hayden
I ain't seen him do better. So I don't know if he could do better. But how you do better? You got to do better, right? That. Hey, Boom, you got that.
James Deebo Harrison
How you do better? You gotta do better.
Joe Hayden
Gotta do better.
James Deebo Harrison
Yo, bro. Hey, we need that one right there. How you do better? You got to do better.
Joe Hayden
You gotta do better. Yes. We'll see, though, man. We'll see.
James Deebo Harrison
Bruh. Jared Goff, dude, he had 334 yards, five tutties, five tuddies. Defense wasn't helping him either, now.
Joe Hayden
No, that's, that's, that's. That's what I'm trying to tell you. How many like Caleb, he gonna do as only much as he can, but he can't stop five teddies getting thrown in the air. He can't stop them not getting after golf, them not stopping to run. You know what I'm saying? I mean, it's a lot going on over there.
James Deebo Harrison
We could try and get some points over there.
Joe Hayden
We get some more points.
James Deebo Harrison
How. How concerned are you with Chicago? How concerned should they be over there?
Joe Hayden
They should be very concerned. They should be very good. There's not too many positives going on over there right now.
James Deebo Harrison
I think it should be some. Some furniture moving. Some people should be getting new addresses.
Joe Hayden
1,000%. That's the only way. That's the only way. I. Yeah. Never really been. This, the whole thing. I don't want to be a hater, but I just never really been a Brown, a Bear, a Bears fan, and they just not. They. They just don't prove to me to be, like, ready to. Ready to make something shape. Like, just the people with Trubisky, with Justin Fields, with all these quarterbacks that's still been going there and not rocking. I can understand. I play for the Cleveland Browns, so. Yeah. Not to say this organizational wise. You know how things gotta get moving.
James Deebo Harrison
It could be.
Joe Hayden
It could get ugly.
James Deebo Harrison
Right, right.
Joe Hayden
Are you confident in the Bears? Do you like them? Do you like what's going on?
James Deebo Harrison
No, I don't. Listen, man, I got. I got issues with Bears, man, but listen.
Joe Hayden
You got issue with Caleb, too?
James Deebo Harrison
I got issues with Caleb, too.
Joe Hayden
Okay. Respectfully. Yeah.
James Deebo Harrison
Yeah, for sure. For sure. Like, I don't know, man.
Joe Hayden
I just.
James Deebo Harrison
I can't have my quarterback painting his nails, dude. I. I just. You. You too. You too busy flossing your nails in the first quarter. You couldn't do nothing the next three. I don't know.
Joe Hayden
Okay. Okay. You think it's his work ethic, his dedication and stuff? Like, he worried about too much other stuff.
James Deebo Harrison
I'm worried about painting my nails in a football game, bro. What is that going to do for me on the field? I can see taping your fingers. I can see. I can see doing all that. You're talking about purely aesthetics, like, of your hands, dude.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, okay. No, I feel it. I could feel that. I could feel that. Debo.
James Deebo Harrison
I'm lost.
Joe Hayden
I mean, I mean, like, that's my quarterback.
James Deebo Harrison
Listen, man, I can't. No, I can't. I can't do it. But the coach. They beat the Broncos 29 to 28. That boy Jones about that, man. The coach are 20 for the first time since 2009 because of the first team in the super bowl era to not punt in either of their first two games. Now that. That is fire. You didn't punt, not in one.
Joe Hayden
That's impressive.
James Deebo Harrison
One game. You telling me you just. You just destroying people? You making sure, worst case, you get at least three. Or they could have went for a fourth and not made it too now, but I don't think that was the case. Like, where do you see, where you see the coats at, man? Where would you put the coats in the, in the rankings over there?
Joe Hayden
I, I ain't gonna lie to you. Danny Dimes is in a good situation right now. And this is what I'm talking about too. Like, it's the team, it's everybody. Everybody's playing well.
James Deebo Harrison
Hey, guess what they got.
Joe Hayden
What?
James Deebo Harrison
They got running game.
Joe Hayden
They got a running game. They have a great running game. They're not leaning on Daniel Jones. They're making sure he's an asset, but at the same time, he's doing exactly what he's asked to do. You know what I'm saying? And they're not leaning and defense is doing good, Running game's doing well, and he's consistently getting wins. So I'm very, very happy for Daniel Jones. And this is the thing where we're saying too like him, Jalen hurts. They're doing what they got to do to win. They have great running games, they have a good defense, and they're not leaned on to do everything. They don't have to make every play. Like with Patrick Mahomes, you have a great quarterback here. When you have good run, you need to give him some running game. At the end of the day, just making sure that you have your quarterback trying to do too much every time, like trying to be Superman, it doesn't always work. And it's a team sport. So them being able to do that extra is always going to help out. But them having to have a great running game, like who we got Taylor, the running back for the Colts. You know what I'm saying? Just being able to turn around and hand the ball off to him takes a lot of weight off your shoulders. So I think this teams, these, they're just doing a really good job of all three phases of working together. And he's doing a great job of his 111 for what I like to call it.
James Deebo Harrison
Yeah, I, I tell people that all the time. And, and the person I use is Ben. Like, when Ben first came in, Ben didn't have to be the guy he ended up being. Like, we had. We had a run game. You know, it was. It was run, run and you know, have him, you know, do a pass and if, if he, if he couldn't find a receiver, they were covered. He, you know, run around extra time. Now defense breaks down, it's spot. It's spot and throw, you know, and. But like you said, you got to make them have to put seven, eight guys in the box because they want to stop that run game. Now you give them that play action and you give your quarterback opportunity to get easier reads without having to sit there and gun and try and read all of the things that they're doing. And over the time of progression each year, each game, each game, each year, your quarterback is going to naturally get better at doing it from doing it. But trying to, you know, throw them in there and make them do it, you know, from, from day one, it's, it's gonna be difficult.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, a thousand percent. And I think they do it. That's, that's what I'm saying. It's team ball and not just leaning because you don't wanna. They can be able to grow. I mean, if they're going to have growing pains, he's not going to come in and be. Just not, not making any mistakes. But it makes it so much easier when you're not asked to just sit back on first down and shotgun and sling the ball around. When, you know, first down, you're not behind the sticks, you got a second and four, you know what I'm saying? That you, they don't know if you're gonna run or pass it. You know what I'm saying? It makes it way easier for a quarterback to convert that than it is for a second. The second attend to a third and 10, you know what I'm saying? Just being able to keep them ahead of the sticks, making sure that these are short yardage things where the defense doesn't know if you're gonna run or pass. Keeping them on their heels helps them out so much.
James Deebo Harrison
Yeah, yeah, the Falcons and Vikings. See, that's why I ain't sold on the Vikings. Dude, the Falcons beat the Vikings 22, six, bro. Like 22 to six, dude. Oh, you, you couldn't score no more than six points.
Joe Hayden
Like, I didn't know what was going on with that one.
James Deebo Harrison
Like, did you.
Joe Hayden
What did you think of the bike?
James Deebo Harrison
Like, I don't know, man. It's. Well, I know Bijan killed him. Dijon Robinson killed him. He had like almost 170 yards from scrimmage. So he went out there and he did his thing. I don't know if the Vikings are putting too much into the quarterback and the jj. Yes. I don't, I don't know if he's like that, like this the last two weeks. I know he's not like that. I mean, he may have been like that, you know, Michigan or whatever, but.
Joe Hayden
He had a really good fourth quarter last game. This game did not look too good. I was hoping that he was, but.
James Deebo Harrison
Again, that was that a good fourth quarter by him or just horrible defense by them?
Joe Hayden
It was a little, you know, you got, you got to make the plays, you got to make the plays that are available.
James Deebo Harrison
I understand. Yeah, I, I, I'll give, like you said, I'll give him credit but they, I think they assisted in helping him be able.
Joe Hayden
They clip Paul to him. Okay, I could respect that. But you got, you got to make it.
James Deebo Harrison
So.
Joe Hayden
Yeah, these two, I mean this game was, I was hoping he was going to come off with a better display after that last, coming off the hype fourth quarter, they only put up six points. I don't think that looked too good. I know the quarterback coach and my boy Josh McCown are too excited about it. So I will hope to see next week, give him another week, a good week of preparation. Let's see, let's see what he does next week. I'm gonna give him a little bit more time. Like you said, he's still a rookie. He's still young. He, you know, he's still young in the league. He's still gonna have a lot of learning curves, but not going to throw out on him yet because he's still athletic, he's still mobile and I've seen, I've seen him make some really good throws. So I'm give him a chance, Give him some time.
James Deebo Harrison
Yeah, yeah, for sure. And now the jets, they, they got, they got, you know, they got stumped out by the bills 30 to 10. And that's why I'm so nervous because the Bills went and stumped the jets out and we, me and the Steelers let them put 30 something on them. Like they shut down Fields, dude, like from the start office couldn't do nothing. Like cook ran for 132. Two tugs on like.
Joe Hayden
I mean I think, you know, they had a week of film. They had a weekly film. Bills came to study. They came, they came ready to play. They came studied up on, study up on, on Fields. He didn't really stand too much of a chance out there. And at the same time the Bills, their offense is amazing. When you have Josh Allen and then being a great Quarterback, it doesn't matter because you could just hand the ball off the cook and he was toting. You know what I'm saying? When you have that, knowing that you could just give him the ball, it was kind of obvious. They kind of spanked the. Spanked the jets up.
James Deebo Harrison
Yeah, for sure. Run through 49ers. Beat the Saints though. Mac Jones came in in relief of Brock Purdy. Jones threw for 279 yards, a career height and three touchdowns. Jones after the game said, I've worked a lot on my mindset this off season. The line did a great job blocking for me. And when they do that, I know I can sit in there and let it fly.
Joe Hayden
Shout out.
James Deebo Harrison
No question. Shout out. Mac Jones, baby. Let's get it going. I'm gonna, I'm gonna go over here to my homeboy, though. Calais Campbell, man. Hella's Campbell. With 26 seconds left, baby. Secure the win for the Cardinals 20 G7 to 28. Oh, gee. I think he in year 19. Congratulations to the Cardinals and to my dude, my guy, Calais Campbell. He trains with me in az. Dude.
Joe Hayden
Love Kales, bro. Real good dude.
James Deebo Harrison
And he's a real good dude, man. Yeah, huge dude, man. Again, man. Listen, we got to get up out of here though. Congratulations to our two ticket winners, James and Olivia, who went to yesterday's Stiller game. Hey, we sorry it didn't come out like, you know, you wanted to come out, but here's Olivia at, uh, the game yesterday. Check it out.
Joe Hayden
Olivia, go ahead. Had a little ball out there.
James Deebo Harrison
Fall out. You ain't put ball out. Put it, ball it out. Yo, we got some. We got. We got some super. We got some super chats. Yeah, we got Rick from New York. We got Rick from New York donated.
Joe Hayden
Five and said, shout out Rick.
James Deebo Harrison
Any good potsy stories? Kendra Bell? I. I got. I got some good posse stories. Not, not too many. Not too many Kendra Obel stories, but I got. I got some good posse stories, but I can't tell you them because I got to get permission from you first because that's how good they are. Yeah. Yeah. Shad Dollars donated five and said, ah.
Joe Hayden
Dollars. That's my good man, Sean.
James Deebo Harrison
That's my good. That's so. That's your good man. That's my bad right now. 100. That's for sure. For sure. Gary H. Donated five and said, what's with the defense? What's with the defenses? From college to pro body check. What? From college to pro body checking. Instead of wrapping up, I've been Seeing this. So, so many plays break. I've been seeing so many plays break to big plays from initial contact. I think it's. They're changing the rules. So guys are afraid to put their head in there. So if you put your head in there and you make contact and the dude make like he's hurt, you're going to get fine. So it's a lot of arm tackling going on. I think that's what it is. And guys, I don't. That's what I think. For me, I wouldn't. I wouldn't care. I would just go and make the tackle. But, like, facing, like, even they're doing in high school, too, even facing up somebody is. Is not.
Joe Hayden
What he say, shoulder checking, Debo, he's talking about people just launching it to people, like, just trying.
James Deebo Harrison
He's saying. He's saying guys aren't hitting and rapping. He's saying they coming in and they doing the bump and not hitting the rappers.
Joe Hayden
Happen.
James Deebo Harrison
I see it a lot. Yeah, dudes is just like, trying to shoulder bump, knock people out, you know? You know, they're not wrapping up.
Joe Hayden
They'd be thinking they. Because they be thinking they coming up with a little boom and they're gonna knock them off their feet and they be bouncing off their little stuff. You need to wrap up, little man, because a lot of dudes should be coming in that Debo. You know, I don't know if you was too big of a rapper. You were exploding the people in. Like, when you hit them, they kind of coming off their feet. Dudes be thinking they gonna do that. And dude, like, man, come on, just bounce off of that and keep going. Those dudes gotta come and rap instead of trying to just.
James Deebo Harrison
For sure. Is that. What is that name? Pronounce it for me, please. Oh, Geraldine. Last name? Yeah. Polly donated 10 and said, Great show, Devo and Joe.
