Get out there, buddy. And I gotta break this down for you because this is plays that was just going and going. Houston get out there. The first play they go ahead, do a pass, you know what I'm saying? They, I think it was Stover. He drops the pass. The next play they give it to Marks, he gets seven. And then on third down they proceed to go empty and throw the ball. For what? For what? For what? I don't get it.

They don't get it either. They end up hunting early. Early, baby. Three and out on the first one. Buffalo get out there, man. And they do what buffalo has been known for doing, you know what I'm saying? They gonna hitting that ball to Cooks. Cooks get that. Folk what they say, that's that a successful, that successful thing. You're supposed to get 40% on the first and then you get 60 on the second.

Of the sticks, man. Alan, he gone ahead on the second down. He get pressured though, you know, he go ahead, get it to the tight end and he knocked that thing. It looked like he had stepped out of bounds to me. Even if he had caught it, I don't think it counted. But third down, I think they get, what was it, five of the six yards they needed. And they took away what was supposed to be a legal man downfield. Are you allowed to do that, like go down and then come back like that must be a thing. As long as he don't release the ball before, you know.

So obviously fourth and one, they do what they do. Quarterback gone here, Allen, big body, jump over the top. Dude, he jumped over and got almost three yards. That was crazy. Yes, that was crazy.

That was crazy. First down, they, they stopped Cooks, though. They, they stuffed him up. He ain't getting nothing. And then I think that was the second down. What Cooks, it was looked like it should have been what, like, like a two yard, two yard loss, Something like that. And then they went on ahead and blitzed Allen and he reads that things out, throws it right into the blitz with a swing pass to Johnson. They go ahead get 13 for the first time. Like the next one, the boy Knox just stiffed arm. What's zero's number, man? He just stiffed, armed him ground. That was a linebacker, wasn't it?

Yes, it was nine yards, bro.

Just stiffed arm him something stupid. Third and one. They get to that third and one. That, man Cooks, dude, they had like nine people within five yards of the line, dude. I think, I think the other two might have been within another five yards. He broke through that thing, dude, and next thing you know, house call. 35 yards. House call. I, I was like, oh, this supposed to be the number one defense?

No, they, they had, like you said, they got stiff arm. They, that, that, that was one that was probably their worst draft.

They had to tighten up.

Kicker helped him, though. He went on ahead and. And missed the extra point. You know what I'm saying? And then Houston, they get a good return on the kickoff. I think they ended up starting at, like, the 41. First play, Chub went for about seven. Second one, I think he went for about five. And then finally, Mills connects for a nice 10 yard. That. He just threaded that in there. Like, I thought he was going to the one, dude. And he threaded it to the. To Higgins on the back.

Yeah, that was a good ball, bro.

Yeah, I ain't gonna lie. That was. That was. That was a good. And then the next play, he just misses the dude. Like, how. How. You just totally miss that one. But second down, he come March. March. Did his thing now.

Yeah, Marks was toting the ball, too, and he went.

He went. He went 12 on that one. Immediately. Another first down later. I think he went for, like, 19.

Did it again. Two explosive runs.

Dude, that DB didn't want none of 77 pulling up out of there, though. Like, that's when y' all ain't allowed to cut.

Can't cut and get down there. It's first and go, dude. I think it was on the six. They run it on the first down, and then your boy Mills proceeds to miss on the second down. Like, that was something. They could have got a little closer. Easy. And then on the third down, he makes a great throw, but the receiver can't hold on to it.

He was worried. My man Kirk was worried about getting the feet in instead of, you gotta catch the ball first, and then you gonna drag your feet, gonna dead. That second leg, you put the first one in, catch the ball, you know?

Yes. Yes, dude. Now you gotta settle for three. It's three to six. And then Buffalo, like, they start. What was it like? At their 12 because they got a holding penalty on the kickoff return. And again they staying ahead of the sticks. The first down, I think Cooks got, what, maybe. Maybe five. But if he hadn't tripped, bro, it.

Was gonna be six.

Go. Yeah, that might have been another one. They was. They were sitting there on. Then that second down, I think it was. What's dude's name? Secure. Yes, secure. Dude, he lost. He lost two. Like, them boys were flying to the wall.

That's what I'm saying. After that first drive, they was making a lot of plays, you know what I'm saying? Houston's defense, that second, that the. The D line, attacking in the secondary, catching tackles.

[Debo Harrison]

Yeah. And third down, Allen. Well, it would have been a sack if he hadn't pushed him forward, but he. He hit scene, dude. And I. I see Alan doing the kick. Fumble. Everything on the ground. I'm thinking he might be up out of the game, bro.

[Joe Hayden]

Yeah, yeah, I know what it was. Wrist something. He. He got.

[Debo Harrison]

Yeah, yeah, he. He pops up, though. They end up. They end up having to punish. They give it back to Houston Chub. I think he ends up getting the ball. On the first down, he didn't get too much, but again on the second down, dude, Mills, like, he's missing wide open receivers, dude.

Yeah, he left a lot of points on the field that touched. Well, the touchdown wasn't his fault. But then this one on the third and on the third down, on the third and six, he's wide open. He's wide open. You just got to get. Get him. Get. Get. Get that ball. Get that ball in his hands.

Yeah, that third down is what you talking about, where the receiver couldn't get his feet down. Yeah, dude, he just couldn't. Like, you gotta. You gotta make that a little easier for him, dude.

So they punt the ball, but, hey, man, they punt the ball, and the punter, man, he dropped that thing like. Like Tiger woods used to, man. I don't know how he got that ball to turn like it did, bro. They dropped. They drop it down. I think it was what, inside the. Inside the five or at the five, man. Yep. Buffalo get the ball. And, yeah, I think it was Allen on that second down. Hit Davis for, like, 22 next. Cooks went on ahead, stayed ahead of the sticks.

He got. He got 13 on that one. And they end up getting them down to like a fourth and one or two, something like that.

And Allen hits Johnson for 23. 23. Boy. First down, though. They went on. Dude, who was the DN98, the D tackle, bruh? He smacked. He smacked old boy, Got through there, smacked old boy. It was. It was what, a loss of two on that one. On first down, dude, the next play, he go that, man Anderson, they lose 10 on that one. They was able to go ahead on third down, force him into a, you know, a bad play. They Was able to hold him to a field goal. So now it's six. No, sorry, it's three. It's three to nine now.

Yeah. And then Mills comes out on the first down and finally connects on there to. I think it was Collins. Yeah, it was college. 24, 25, something like that, brother. And when, dude, he was finishing on them runs, though, he was trying to destroy them DBs. Dude.

Dude, he was trying to destroy them DBs. Next play, Meals goes and scrambles for. I think it was only like four or five, but they get the face mask. Face masks, add another. What was it, 15 on top of it. And then they go and do a receiver like, reverse around he went to.

And then immediately on the second down, your boy, he throws it short like, I'm like, yo, it's no way he can like this go get seriously uncomfortable because you go have a defense like out there all day, every day with what he's doing over here.

They get to that fourth and one, and that boy marks takes lemons, dude, and makes lemonade, dude, dropping it on him, bro. Dragging old boy, like, dragging what? He ended up picking up like six, which should have been a loss of at least one or two. That's the dude. And then the next play, Mills again short, like, hit the defender in his back, dude, it turned around. He had one. All he had to do was look.

He was. But look, when. You know, when you're not. He not in the position yet. So he was still felt like he was in trail. Because if he would have threw a good ball, it would have been tough. So he was playing. That's why he didn't look back. If you're not in a position to look back, then the ball would have landed right over his head. If it was a good thrown ball. He's playing like he's going to drop a dime. Not expecting the ball gonna hit him. Be under throne, hit him in the back of the head. So good Job by the DB not to start looking back early, because if he were to dime, they'd be like, play through his hands. You know what I'm saying? You're not in position back yet.

Right, right. I got. Yeah, for sure. For sure. Second down, they get an incomplete, but they get an illegal contact that gives them the first down. What would have turned into, what, a third and ten right there?

Yeah, yeah. And then I believe it was like, third and one. I'm thinking, you know, they about to settle for three again. They. What is it? 30th ranked in the red zone. But Mark said, nah, let me go ahead. Let me go ahead and do this, man. And then they get stopped on that first down. Immediately line back up, look like they about to run the same play. Them boys suck into that play action.

And Kurt is wide open for the touchdown, bruh. Yep, wide open for the touchdown. Now they up. They up 10 to what, 10 to 9? Yes, sir, but I think it was. Was the missed field goal that made it 10:9. Yes, it would have been. It would have been 10:10.

Yeah. Buffalo. It was the. What was the first. First play, wasn't it? The linebacker ended up dropping back, getting that good little. Well, he should have picked that, dude.

No. Just took it to the crib, man. He ain't have a chance, man. You go, you, you, you go from what, up by four to now you down by three.

And you ain't even get to touch the field as a defense. Dude, that hurts.

Houston came out there and took my surprise. Buddy, come on. It was only a minute 39 left, brother. And they answered right before half. They go six plays, 75 yards for a touchdown. And on top of that, that man Mills, he makes up for missing the throws for the previous, oh, a thousand percent for the previous half, dude, he goes 5 for 6. 76. All pass plays, all plagues, dude. They didn't, they didn't. They didn't run the ball. Not one time. 20, 16 and a half.

I'm like, okay, all the defense gotta do is what they been doing, buddy. Buffalo come out there, I think they're able to convert. Like maybe it was one third down. Well, sorry, one first down, first down. And then Houston locked in. I think the next first they pressured Allen. He ended up for like scrambling for 2 yards. They go ahead and sit Cooks down on this next play. He only get two. And then, dude, I ain't never seen nobody lose that many yards on a sack.

If they just eliminate those plays, there's like nothing really there because the D lines to get there. The secondary sticky. They make plays, they own people. So like the main thing is with them is Houston on offense, are they going to be able to score those touchdowns? I think when C.J. strout gets back, it's going to be really, really big for him because you got a great defense like this. You got Nico Collins, you have some good pieces on offense. You have Christian Kirk, some of those plays like I think in the red zone, just red zone efficiency. Don't turn the ball over, be able to score touchdowns instead of field goals. I think just from, you know, his scrambling, it's not designed total runs for him. Like he's fifth, I think rushing quarterback in the NFL and that's only behind Lamar, Allen, Hertz and Daniels.

So yes, dude, if we do not stop the run, we're going to be in for a long roll. And the offense though, they have to take advantage of Chicago's defense. They're, they're, they're a 27th ranked defense and they're 25th in the rush. Dude. Now here's the issue though.

The issue is they're number one in interception rating. That's why we have to run the ball effectively because we can't get into situations where we're behind the chains and we have to pass the ball. On top of that, they're number two in third down percentage. So they know what to do on third downs when they. We can't be behind the chains as an offense not doing things effectively and having to rely on the pass game. Therefore, that's why it's critically important that our defense shut them down so that they cannot score points like the office. We cannot turn the ball over. We need to stay ahead of the chain so we have favorable down the distance situations that second and six or that third and three and four, whatever that is, we have to have that effectiveness or success rate as they say it when we get out there as an offense.

Yep, I'm with you. I think for show for show, we need to have Mount Washington playing out in the game big time. I think his him being able to help in the run game, run blocking and then being able to in the pass game. Also you don't know if you're going to run or pass me. He's there because we could run behind him because he's 300. He's going to block and we could play action and be able to pass. So I think being able to use Washington, being able to stay ahead of the sticks, like you're saying, using gain well, if we could just get the ball into their hands early. But by staying ahead. I know we need to run for.

We have to run, but I'm just saying making sure we stay ahead of the sticks and not turning the ball over on defense. Like you said, Debo, we cannot let Swift start toting the ball on us. And we need to be opportunistic because when we get in those third down in long situations where TJ Watt can get to strip sacks, where Highsmith, where Nick Burfick where they can just come strip the quarterback, be able to get after him, contain lanes too. We don't need to be able to like just trying to beat you. Not individual. We need to rush as a team. Defensive line, the front line, D tackles, y' all stay in Yalls lanes. DNS be able to come and flush him forward so he's not being able to escape.

Not only stay in your lane, dude, don't get pushed off the ball. No, no. For sure you cannot get pushed off the ball, dude. I don't care if you double team, grab grass, drop down. If you don't do just, just fall to the ground, make a pile. If you can't do nothing else, you can't get pushed back 3, 4 yards. This vertical hole.

Well, it's reports out there that Joe Flacco before he left said, you know, he was upset that they wasn't opening up the playbook. They wasn't throwing the ball down the field, you know, because, you know, the offensive coordinator didn't, you know, that's not what he wanted to do. So now this kind of puts me in a situation of if that's something that wasn't part of the plan, then what we're dealing with, with Gabriel, we may end up dealing with, with Shador. Or is it going to be a situation where we see Shador actually taking the shots down the field? Or, you know, I'm. I'm just kind of thinking like we might have. What you do is stay ahead of the sticks, hold the ball, convert on third down, you know what I'm saying? Don't turn the ball over. So with me and Shador, they need to go in, run the ball really well. Judkins, they need the offensive line needs to protect them. Know that he's a young quarterback coming in. This is his first start and not all it's already pressure. It's a lot going on. But just like when we had Dylan Gabriel in there and some third downs, I would see that he would throw the ball into the ground, even if it's not to open the playbook. On third and sixth, when you have an out route, hit that out route.

Like where you have short, short, short fields when you get in the red zone, try to get touchdowns instead of interceptions, but if you don't, don't turn it over, still be able to get three, you know what I'm saying? Like just do the simple things, do the simple things right and we're going to be able to see progress and not. You're not losing the game. And on third and six is when you can able to create, hit that, that, hit that five and out, you know what I'm saying? Scramble maybe for a couple of first downs, extend a couple of drives, you know what I'm saying? And then hit a couple of big passes. If you hit a 15 yard dig, you know what I'm saying? Some out routes on time, 16 for 22, you know what I'm saying? 160, 170 yards, two touchdowns and we win the game or one touchdown, no turnovers, you know what I'm saying? You scrambled a couple of times, so nobody's looking for you to be 30 for 30 for 35, 300 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions. That's not what we're asking from you. That's not, that would be amazing, you know what I'm saying? But for you to go out there and just be a consistent quarterback, could be able to just not turn the ball over, hit simple passes that we need and not just be air mailing stuff, throwing stuff in the traffic, you know what I'm saying? But you cannot let that money just run through your fingers, dude, because you have it. And the biggest issue with guys is they don't see it coming to an end. And they don't see it coming to an end until it's already there. And now they're like, oh man, I gotta do this, I gotta do that, I gotta take care of my body, I gotta do whatever I need to do to get back healthy. And nine times out of 10, they hurt something and they can't get back to where they were. And now is somebody else in there that's younger, that's faster, that's stronger, that's cheaper.

And they're running off with what it was that you had, but didn't take advantage of it because you were too busy living the high life, spending, flashing and all that.

It's so for, for kids, I mean, finally being able to make your dream, never having the money before. You got to realize though, it's like this thing that you believe in now. It's, it's your job, it's what you do. And this, you're hitting the lottery every single year. It could be gone before you, before you know it. But telling the player that while you're in it, you think you're about to get your next deal. This contract is what it is like, no, I'm about to get the bag. That's how always, everybody thinks. But you got to always think like, no matter what, if you're done, if you play a 10 year career, you get in when you're 21, 22 years old, you're 32, done, out.

And then you, if you get 10.

Now, if, no, this is good. This is, this is long. This is, this isn't even, even if you play on the long end like me and you, if you only think, if you can only do four or three or two, you know what I'm saying? Like, that's just, you know what I'm saying? Like, that's something that people don't really think about. You Think your career is going to last a long time and not the next year. I'm gonna be able to stack it the next year. Right now I'm gonna deal this one. So I'm gonna be able to do this stuff now. No, once you get out after two years, after five years, after 10 years when you could finally sit down and have all of that stacked, sitting in the bank and with whatever, whatever you able to play with, you know what I'm saying? Being able to have that nugget or being able to set budgets for yourself, goals of knowing. At the end of the year I need to have this much in my account because at the end of the. Once it's all done, what can I have for me? What can I be able to walk away with? Because there's been dudes that always planning on not the next year was I'm gonna be able to start stacking my. And then it's, it's, it's gone. So he's planning like this could be done tomorrow every, every year.

So every dude has to make sure that they're stacking. Matter of fact, this is what I'll say. When you're playing, everybody wants to be around you. So all those business connections that you can make, instead of making the connections with Joe Blow that does this or that, like make the connections with people who do investments, make the connection with people who own, you know, those multi million dollar companies, corporations, billion dollar corporate like make those connections. They want to be around you.

Yes. Now take advantage of these opportunities. They want to talk to you now.

Are right then and there. Because when you're, when you're done, they don't care about it. They don't want to see you. They can't flaunt you in front of whoever or whatever or take pictures with you and say I was with so and so like when you been there, dude, use that, that. I think we're too busy trying to, you know, do whatever it is that we're trying to do when we're young. I was one of those guys.

I didn't even save money, dude. I didn't until I had my son, dude. And then I was like, oh snap, I gotta worry about somebody else other than myself. And that's really what started me to, to save and invest in, and, and you know, building the actual, you know, a life after football.

So I was, I, I think it was, I got drafted and I heard so many of the, you know, the horror stories because I was a highly drafted player. Debo, you Know what I'm saying? So coming into a lot of money, you know what I'm saying? It was just something that wasn't. I wasn't normal, used to. So at the beginning, I could say I definitely did a lot of the wrong things. But you gotta go through trial and error, you know what I'm saying? You have family, you got friends, you got things that you gotta be able to set boundaries, you know what I'm saying? You have getting married, having a family, knowing like, like this could all be gone, you know what I'm saying? You want to take care of people, but end of the day, once it's all done, you'll be looking at you crazy if you don't have anything left, you know what I'm saying? So being able to save and stack so when you do retire, you can be able to live fruitfully and be able to take care of people and move how you want to and be. And keep your sanity.

I'm a good tipper. I learned from my parents, though. They always did that.

And the reason I, my big pet peeve is if I have water and my water go empty, my water ain't full, that's a problem for me. So you only go get 15 to 20. Now if I have somebody that's real attentive and really takes care of me, I'm going to take care of them.

Depending on what the bill is, I may tip 100 of the bill and depending on where I'm at, so yeah, something else. Like, I wanna. Especially if you get a good server. That's. That's just what they is, you know what I'm saying? You look around, it's not them just treating you that way. You see this table and that table, and they're doing the same. I'm like, yo, that's a good server. So I want to make sure when I come in here, they see that. See that reservation for James Harris? Hey, make sure you give me that server if they. If they own. Because, you know, I'm a. And then on top of that, if they're not there, the server's gonna be like, yo, so and so tips well, but you got to make sure you take care of them, you know? So, yeah, you have to. You have to tip well, dude. It's not. It's not a, you know, an option. You're going out, no matter what happens, you have to tip well. It's nothing worse than, you know, you as a server going and serving somebody. And then I don't care if the service is average, like, you still have to tip well. Like, no, no, no, no. Where anybody get less than 18 to 20, if they did their job effectively now, they did. They go above and beyond.
