That's why so many guys find it hard to let go of the game because they don't get to leave it when they want to leave it and the game leaves them. And now they're fighting for their life, trying to get back into it, because that's all they know. That's all they can think about now. They're trying to get into it in coaching, whatever it is that they can do.

Man, I feel you, but that's where I'm saying that we can't put. That's from a jit, though, from a kid. We got to start understanding you can't put all the eggs in one basket because the percent of people that are going to make it to the pros, you know what I'm saying? You can go to college for free. You can be able to go to school for free. But starting off from the beginning, always knowing, like, boom, league for sure, but that's going to be able to get you to pay for school. And then having a plan on, like, what are you going to school for? Hey, hey, Joe, I want to be.

If I told you that as a kid, if your dad told you that as a kid, hey, man, don't you put all your eggs in one basket.

And up to that point, bro, I had made maybe, hell, I don't know, maybe a few million dollars, maybe 3, 4, 5 million dollars. 3, 3, 3 million, something like that. Because I had my first contract, maybe 3 million. And you know what I had, Joe?

I had 300. I had $300,000 at a house that had mortgage on it of 300,000, 320,000. That was it. Nothing else.

I have to make a future. That's the only reason that I started planning for the future. Because it was no longer about me, it was about him. And then it was about them. When my other son came in 2009, like, I had nothing saved up. From that point though, I'm gonna tell you, real talk. I invested everything I had. Except for I did buy a car. I did buy a car, okay? But that cost way too much and I shouldn't have got it. But I did get to go 186 miles in it.

He wasn't happy with being there. You know, him wanting to leave and be somewhere else. He might have just took an opportunity and said, you know what? This could help make us better. And I'm gonna be able to get this off my chest because I can't say nothing here because of whatever's going on internally that they may not allow or the coaches don't allow. You know how that grows through. Hey, man, you can't say that to certain. Certain people. You can't say that. This. This. This people, you know what I'm saying? Because they might not be reactive to that, that I die. So I think that might have been something where he did that in that way. But when I'm looking back at the whole big picture of it, that ain't nothing about putting pressure on nobody, man. And like he said, I wouldn't do that no more. Why? Because he had the Patriots.
