Do you see marriage in the cards? Maybe one day you think. You think you'll give in? Because, like I said, like, man, we getting older. You know what I'm saying? Like, how much. How much is it, like, when you. When you.
Alexandria
When you go.
Corey
You know what I'm saying, though, dog? Look, look, you. You. You upper 30s. Like, man, it ain't gonna be too much more outside. You gonna need something at home. Warmth, consistency, Just backbone. Like, as far as just, like, paperwork.
Paul
P, Ain't no paperwork.
Alexandria
But you said you would do the.
Corey
No, he's saying that. He's just saying, like, have you ever lived with a girl?
Paul
Yeah, that's when they get the worst.
Corey
You've lived with a girl? That's like marriage.
Paul
At a younger version of my life. Yeah. I live with. I don't think right now, in the last 10 years, I haven't lived with a woman.
Corey
So would you think. Would you again?
Paul
Yeah, but I would have my own place, though, too.
Corey
Separate bedrooms, separate houses.
Paul
No, I mean, I got the big mansion, but I also got the condo. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? The way she get hot at the
Corey
crib, you got to go and take. I got to go take my.
Paul
You know what I'm saying type shit.
Corey
There's some player. He talking right now. This going over your head.
Paul
I'm listening, though.
Corey
Why you had to, like, she got to recalibrate, bro. She got to take a TV time out.
Paul
You don't think that that's smart?
Corey
That is smart. That man got a plan.
Alexandria
You know what's wrong with me?
Corey
He got a plan. That's what. And a lot of us don't have plans.
Alexandria
What's wrong with me is this.
Corey
Ain't nothing wrong with having a plan. I like that shit.
Alexandria
What's wrong with me is, like, I'm such a lover. So, like, when I hear stuff like that, I'm just like, damn. So you don't want to be around me? Like, I love so hard, and I'm like, so. Like a sweetheart, and I just want to be up under a grave.
Corey
Every man don't want to be up under a groove all the time.
Alexandria
What I'm saying is I get that, but for me, it just makes my heart hurt a little bit because I'm like, damn, what you doing over there, babe? Like, come back to me.
Corey
I'm watching a movie.
Alexandria
I'm not an annoying person. Like, I'm cool. I know when a man needs space, I'll go to the other room. Room. I'll leave you alone. I know when you need to just get a minute off.
Corey
But, like, say that.
Alexandria
But I can say it.
Corey
All my relationships, every girl.
Alexandria
But y' all gotta stop comparing with me. I'm not. Because really, I'm not. So let's start there.
Paul
So secondly, she's trying to.
Corey
Yo, no, I set up the interviews. Like, all right, what are you gonna do if I'll get mad at you? Oh, I'm gonna go in the other room and do all that. Like, all right.
Alexandria
I hate when someone compares me to every girl, because I would never care. Comparing every man. No, you're saying what I'm saying, and
Corey
you say every girl. Like, if I interview 10 girls right here and I ask them the same ass questions, they gonna get the same goddamn answers. And then.
Alexandria
About me.
Corey
But I'm just saying the interview process y' all always go into, like, I'm not like that until you get into the situation.
Paul
And you like that.
Alexandria
He asked me about me.
Paul
That's true.
Alexandria
And I understand what you saying, but there's a situation. Go ahead, Say what you got to say.
Paul
All right, so look, I'm gonna tell you about me.
Alexandria
Like, go ahead.
Paul
Here's the truth.
Corey
Right?
Paul
Me and my child's mother.
Alexandria
Yeah.
Paul
We not. We're not. We're not in a. In a. In a. We're not together.
Alexandria
Okay.
Paul
But we are together. We're like. We're like. We're the best of friends. And, you know, and we're building on, seeing if that's an opportunity that. That awaits us in the future. But in reality, I'm just such a. A man's man, and I, like, I. I let y' all get the $5 million house, and I. I go and get me a condo, and we figure it out.
Corey
I definitely love that.
Alexandria
That's definitely. I get that. I get that. I feel like a man taking care of a woman in that way is. Always will be honored, you know, I respect that a lot. And I feel like. I understand that men have trauma when it comes to women and living, but you have to understand that not everybody is the same.
Corey
It's not. It don't have to be.
Alexandria
And I would never come into a situation with somebody and be like, you're the same as everybody else. I allow people to build up to where they're at. You know what I mean? Like, there's. There's people. There's people who are unique and different and one of a kind and chosen.
Paul
I didn't. I didn't live this long and make it to be this successful, to bet my career and a bunch of different things on a woman's feelings and emotions. So I have to make this certain adjustments and create the certain distance and. And surround myself in my life to where it's not fully committed on something happening. Because we could come together and think that we have a great foundation, have the best intentions for each other in one night. Or one false move could ruin 40 years of my life and career.
Alexandria
Real talk, that's the risk, being in love. But you have to understand the time good after.
Paul
If that's what being in love is. And I don't want.
Alexandria
Why can't you guys understand that? Like there's women that have shit to lose too. Like there's women that's not gonna record you and put it on the Internet.
Paul
Well, I'm gonna be honest for me and for me and Pete and respect to the people that's watching. Ain't no woman walking in my life that got more than me.
Alexandria
I'm not saying they have more than you.
Paul
I said you gotta be a very.
Alexandria
You don't think that there's a woman in your world that could be genuine enough to be like, I would never fuck up his career, make him look crazy on the Internet, up with his kids. You don't think there's a woman like
Paul
that circumstantial until she feel the way she feel.
Alexandria
Nah, I don't believe that.
Corey
I don't think there's no women out there like that. Because once a woman goes. Cuz you know why?
Alexandria
That's wild as hell for you. Women are emotional. Women are emotional. But there's people who are emotionally intelligent and self aware enough to understand that
Corey
once you get triggered.
Alexandria
Yeah, I've been triggered by so many men in my life. Men. All y' all do is trigger women every day. And I never put a man on the Internet and I will never put a man on the Internet and I've been in plenty of positions to do so. Hold on.
Paul
But look, when your energy gets the way it is right now, this why I got to have a crib downtown. Because I'm going to be like, babe, I got you. You're good. Stay here, stay here. Stay in this five million dollar house. Fall on, go outside with the baby. I'm going to go to the other spot. And then once we meet each other on level heads, Top of the morning, let's have a different conversation.
Corey
Right?
Alexandria
I don't believe in going to bed mad though. Why we gotta go to bed?
Paul
That's within itself Though you gotta pick yourself up.
Alexandria
Yeah, I know.
Paul
Don't go to bed mad.
Alexandria
But I'm saying, why can't we talk it out?
Paul
That seems very.
Corey
Because sometimes I'll tell you that no,
Paul
as women, everything you're talking about to
Alexandria
talk something out is toxic.
Paul
I'd rather talk when cooler heads.
Alexandria
I get that. I understand that.
Paul
Than a bed moment.
Corey
Right. You gotta cool down.
Alexandria
A lot of men say that. But what I will not stand on is y' all saying that no woman in this the world will not blast your and up your career. That's. I cannot.
Corey
No, I'm not saying that.
Alexandria
You said there's no woman in the.
Paul
No, he said there's no woman in the world that won't express how she feels to a certain extent. Like, that won't go up on a. To me.
Alexandria
I'm not saying.
Corey
I'm not saying express it to the world. That's not what I was saying.
Alexandria
That's what I said.
Corey
And that's not what I. That's not what I meant.
Alexandria
Cool. The point is, the traumatized man. Y' all don't realize that that's baggage on a woman too. Like, the traumatized the. I'll never think any woman will do this. I'll never think any woman that's so burnt out. That's so much baggage on a woman too. Like, I'm coming as fresh. Not on that. Came from a mom and a dad still married to this day for 45 years. Five sisters, all married, came from a good family, came from money, came from all of that. I don't need a man to be doing all of this for me.
Paul
But you're mad entitled with low standards for men. So that's why I'm lost at.
Alexandria
How am I entitled to low standards?
Paul
You said that you don't need this. You don't need this. Cause you come from this type of background, but then you're looking for this guy that don't got a certain amount of money that you keep holding onto this.
Alexandria
You keep holding on.
Paul
No, that's what you said your man was.
Alexandria
You asked me. You asked me if I needed a man to make a certain amount of money. And I said no. That's not something I specifically said.
Paul
But this was so crazy though, right? Okay, look, how we talking in the interview? Like, you're just triggered. You're just a black woman. You got. You got a different energy network. Hand motions this. And third, imagine if a was in your house. Your house that you paid for was in there. Like, I don't give a this down
Corey
the third like that, you be like,
Paul
yo, this gotta go.
Alexandria
No, I understand that part of it.
Paul
So me saying, I just want to go and leave you here and I come back and see you later. That should be nothing. You know what I'm saying? Like, it's.
Alexandria
I mean, I get what you're saying and I understand.
Paul
Men are solution based. Like women would love. Like women would love to fight, fight, fight, reconcile, wake up and do it all again for me at the big old age that I'm at, I don't want to fight at all. The minute we got any type of confrontation or like we ra you raising your voice at me or this and the third, I'm out.
Alexandria
But are you okay with having conversations once you cool down and kind of work through it?
Paul
Of course.
Alexandria
Okay, that's real.
Corey
That's real. That's real talk. That's real. That's real talk.
Alexandria
But I also believe, like, you can't run from shit either. You got to be able to face.
Paul
No, I can just cut you off the minute you keep showing that behavior. And it's like, no, there doesn't seem like there's no point, no return on this, and we can't make amends. I'm the. I will cut your water off.
Corey
You know what? The, the only thing this, the thing when I, when I hear you speak, it is like when you done been through it so many times, you nip it in the bud now.
Paul
Yeah, for sure.
Corey
And you don't prolong it because you'd have been in a situation where you didn't did this numerous times. So now you get to the point when you get older, it's like, I ain't got to deal with this.
Paul
And a deeper thing.
Corey
I think that's, that's the mindset. That's what I'm hearing now for sure.
Paul
But like, what. Even what I'm going into with every situation is like, man, like, we gotta be ultimately friends first. Like, let's. Let's rely on the friendship first.
Alexandria
I agree with that.
Paul
Instead of the lustful or the what we see for each other in the big grand scheme of things. I can love you, but that don't mean I like you. I love mad women that I've dealt with before. I still got nothing but the. I don't like them bitches, though.
Alexandria
Yeah, I get that.
Paul
So if I don't like you, then we can't coexist.
Alexandria
I agree.
Paul
So if we focused on liking each other and standing on what initially brought each other together, of course it's attraction, but it's chemistry is what we doing. The times we spent. I think that when the big picture get put on the whole thing, you lose the frame of the friendship. And then now I'm your man, and now you have a certain expectation of me, but you lose the friendship if you lose the friendship with me being your man. And we don't really like. We don't really like each other.
Corey
Damn. This has been one of the realest conversations. I go lie. This is real right here. Hey, y', all, look, look. This a real spit right here.
Alexandria
I understand that. I think that it takes people to have a foundation first of a friendship, because then you can talk to each other in a different way. Like, yo, why are we doing this? Like, let's be cool.
Paul
Can I ask you a question?
Alexandria
Yeah, of course.
Paul
Why do you think a woman should stay with a man throughout all the cheating, do all the stuff this down? And third, like, do you feel like when a woman stays through that and she really makes it through all the struggle or whatever, and she's the. The. What they call it? A matriarch or whatever? Yeah, yeah. Like, whatever Grandma and Autumn went through or whatever.
Corey
Like, right.
Paul
Do you feel like. Like, do women feel like that's worth it right now?
Alexandria
I don't think so. I think that the reason why older generations feel like it was worth it because they didn't have more options. So, like, I think women now are, like, getting their own money or doing this and doing that, so they feel like, I don't have to stay. I can leave if I want to. Right. And we have this whole feminist culture now, which I do think plays a role in it. You know, I'm not a feminist, and I do don't believe that men and women are equal. I feel like men are superior to women, and they're the head of the household. And that's just what I believe. But I think that we live in a generation where a lot of women see it differently now, and women have taken on more of a masculine role in society. And I think that it makes women feel like, well, f this man. I don't have to be with him. I'm independent. I don't need no man. And we have this mindset that's setting us back, because in reality, men and women, when we are together and we operate correctly, we're much stronger. There's a power in numbers and us connecting changes can change everything for you. But if you're with the wrong person, it ruins things. And I think A lot of people are choosing the wrong partners and then blaming it on everybody else.
Corey
Oh, that's real.
Paul
That's real.
Corey
Okay. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Speak, Ms. Alexandria.
Paul
I'm done. That's real talk.
Alexandria
Yeah, I mean, I get that. It's different.
Paul
Yeah. I'm just trying to figure out, like, if women are operating at that high level or whatever, why don't no women invest into men? That's my only question. Like, yo, like, I'm with all the feminist. I'm with all the women. Get a bag. But, like, I got a lot of women friends. Like, they still desire successful men that are the successful women. They don't never be like, yeah, I
Alexandria
get what you're saying.
Paul
Let me grab me something. You know what I'm saying?
Alexandria
I think, unfortunately, when that happens, women emasculate men and they no longer feel sexually attracted to them. And I'm not saying that that's right, but I'm saying that that's what it is. It feels like if I have to do this, if I have to wear the pants, if I have to invest, if I have to take care of you, the sexual attraction is no longer there because women.
Paul
So what was the point of getting the money then?
Alexandria
I think it's because, like, a lot of women, if you get the money, you don't have to have a man because a lot of women can't get a man. A lot of women can't get a man that will take care of them, and a lot of women can't get a man that's like, I will be here and I'll provide for you and I'll take care of you and your child. So there's a lot of women who cannot have that. Even more attractive women.
Paul
Right.
Alexandria
There's tons of attractive, beautiful women that don't have a man and don't have a man willing to settle down with them, buy them the $5 million house and have the child and do the things that they want to. So it's like, it's a bonus if I can have that. But I'm going to work hard for myself so I don't settle with the wrong man. Because a lot of us will just choose a man because it's like, I'm going to choose him because I have to, because I don't have nothing else going on. But when you do, you have more option to say, I'll mess with you. But this isn't really in alignment with who I am as a woman, so I'll pass.
Paul
Oh, so then that was A good one for you, P. Would you prefer a broke woman or a rich woman for your next. Your next lock in? Cause your next lock in, fuck around and be the one. You know what I'm saying?
Corey
You know what I was just thinking? The crazy thing that you said that is like, you know, with a woman, a big flex for a woman is when she treat a man like. Think about this. If you have a woman, be like, you know what? I done saved up this money, I'm gonna fly you to Brazil, put you in this hotel. Don't worry about nothing.
Paul
Says no woman, but keep going.
Corey
But I'm just saying, woman did that.
Paul
That's fly.
Corey
Would she have the upper hand on you? Like, I'll be like, hold on, What?
Paul
Yeah, I don't know if I would be too cool with that.
Corey
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Alexandria
So the question. Would you prefer a broke woman or a rich woman right now?
Corey
Damn. A broke woman or a worse woman?
Alexandria
Not broke, but yeah, I get what you're saying. Not broke, but like a woman with less money and trying to, you know.
Paul
But every woman gonna be broke to him, so.
Alexandria
Yeah, yeah, yeah. But like a woman who's not like a boss and, like, running shit and has all this money flowing in.
Corey
I mean, the majority of the women that I'm gonna meet is just gonna be broke.
Alexandria
But I'm saying, what would you prefer what I prefer?
Corey
I mean, I wouldn't mind a rich woman, but like, damn, that ain't really the standard around here. They, like, you can go out and meet a rich woman. Like, you gonna go to the club. 99.9 of the girls in there is broke.
Alexandria
Well, that's where you're going. It depends on where you're.
Corey
Well, if I go, like, I gotta go to charity events. I gotta be in the room with, like presidents or something to meet the rich women. I'm not gonna be in them rooms.
Alexandria
So you prefer.
Corey
So I'm not. I guess I prefer a broke room because that's the majority of girls I'm around. So that's my comfort level.
Alexandria
What about you?
Corey
I like. That's who I'm around. That's why I'm comfortable talking to. That's what it is.
Paul
I wouldn't look at it broke or rich. I was just thinking about availability.
Alexandria
Availability is real, you know what I'm saying? You want them to be available.
Paul
You just gotta be available.
Alexandria
And mostly a rich woman might not be as available to you, but it's double.
Paul
Because a broke woman might got A bunch of kids, too, so she might not be available as well.
Alexandria
It depends if they have kids or not. Yeah, I feel like. Like Corey. Hold on.
Corey
How broke, though? It's levels to brokenness.
Paul
Wait, as far as the women, you
Corey
can't get no gas. You need gas money.
Paul
I think all women are broke.
Corey
No, but I'm saying you need gas money. You blowing.
Paul
Oh, not like that, though. Like. No, they got a. They got a bag. But I'm saying, like,
Corey
listen, I need a dub. If she ask. No, but look. Hey, if she ask you for a dub, listen, she had a bro. Sorry, yo.
Paul
Look, not like that, but figuratively speaking, because I'm what? She spends no money around me.
Corey
Right, right.
Alexandria
I love that.
Paul
So it's kind of like I'm not looking for it. You know what I'm saying? I wouldn't know what she got in a bank account. And you want to do something. You want to do something to make a woman very uncomfortable. Get in your first date, ask them how much money she got in her bank account.
Corey
I've done that on a date.
Paul
Like, yo, like. No, like, dead ass. Like, where you want to go today? If she tell you I want to go to such and such or whatever. Like. And you know, it's a 1500 Kiki on the river. You know that. About 2000, 3000. I'm a. You get there. Y' all vibing, you know what I'm saying? Y' all having good conversation. Like, but where you at with your life? Like, how much money you got?
Corey
I was on a date one time with a girl, right? And it was just like. I was just like. I know she. I don't know how we got to this, and I'm gonna get to the point, but I was just like, show me 5,000 in your account, and I'll give you 5,000.
Paul
I like that, too.
Corey
Can we do that? She was talking. She was talking.
Alexandria
Can we do that right now?
Corey
She was like, I could do this. I could buy this. I could tell. I could tell you. I even got 5,000 in your account. Because if you show me right now on your phone, you got 5,000, I will wire you 5,000 on my phone right now.
Paul
Show me 250 cash. I'll give you 10,000.
Alexandria
250,000?
Paul
Yeah. Right now.
Alexandria
I can't do it. I don't have it.
Corey
No, I was doing the five for 550.
Paul
You going to give me a thousand?
Alexandria
I'm scared.
Paul
And that's what I'm saying, because I
Alexandria
know you have it.
Corey
Yeah.
Alexandria
But I don't have 250, 000 in my account. I'll be honest, man.
Corey
I was asking for five.
Paul
You need a. So you gotta. You gotta stop thinking about that. That halfway broke. You need a. You got less than 250.
Alexandria
I do have less than 250.
Paul
Come to the dark side, baby. We might throw you a life raft.
Corey
Most girls.
Alexandria
That is crazy. Most girls have you crazy for that.
Corey
I said, show me 5,000, and she couldn't even do it. And she was flexing like, I got this and got that, and I was like, show me 5,000 right now.
Paul
I respect her.
Corey
She didn't show it.
Alexandria
Yeah, but no, I do believe that I need a man, though. I don't believe that. I don't badly and immediately is wild. But I do believe that yes, I do need a man.
Corey
Fine.
Paul
You gotta have a little SR2. Somebody gotta knock you.
Corey
Raza.
Alexandria
Thank you.
Corey
Raza.
Alexandria
What?
Corey
Raza.
Alexandria
Oh, okay.
Corey
Azar spells backwards. Raza. Say it.
Alexandria
Okay, I'm gonna ask you this really quick, please, before we wrap it. I know we've been talking for a minute.
Paul
Let's go.
Corey
She can turn it a. Raza.
Alexandria
You said that women should leave wigs behind in 20, 26 overly.
Paul
It should have left them.
Alexandria
What do you not like a. That they could just come out your hair like you just take them out.
Paul
This not attractive.
Alexandria
Cuz of the. What? Stop.
Paul
Let me be honest with you.
Corey
Is that not a wig?
Alexandria
It's not a wig. I don't have a wig. I never wore a wig.
Corey
No, you.
Paul
That's not a wig, right?
Corey
My mama was OG wig master.
Alexandria
I've never worn wig, but this is the thing. Wigs used to be like my aunties and grandma.
Corey
Yeah, my mama had. She had them all lined up Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. I'm telling you, I'm not against.
Alexandria
Wait, let him talk.
Paul
I just think that when it got too accessible for everybody, right then that's when it went left. It's like a club, right? So wigs are like, yo, if it's Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, all these different performers, they gotta do this shit. They doing different outfits, photo shoots, this and the third. If it's a girl sitting outside of the corner store right now with a wig on and a bad wig with a screen door coming off her forehead right now. I'm not vibing with that. Yeah, just go natural.
Alexandria
You right.
Paul
I'd rather vibe with you natural. You know what I'm saying? Like, so it ain't really, like, about the Wig.
Alexandria
I'm.
Paul
I'm just like, I'm anti wig. Like, you got like zero chance of fucking with me. You got a wig?
Alexandria
Yeah.
Corey
I ain't gonna lie to you.
Paul
I don't care how rich you are, who baby mama you is, how the bad the gram think you is. You wear a wig. I'm Gucci.
Alexandria
Yeah. Wigs are different. And it does have that screen door and that lace front across the thing. And it looks bad. Like, I be like, yo, that wig is not it.
Corey
I'mma tell you something about me. I was so cocky and arrogant as a young dude. Like, when I tell you, I want to know. No, listen, I swear to God, I will not bullshit you not. I swear I wasn't playing none of that. If you ain't had natural hair, I did not talk to you. I would literally. I would literally do this to girls. Like, hold on, let me see something. If you got speed bumps, I'm not with you. Put my hand down the middle right here. If you got speed bumps, I'm good.
Alexandria
I've said this before.
Corey
No, I like, for real. I wasn't dealing with no wigs, no weaves. I was like, nah, I'm good.
Alexandria
Do you like bbls?
Corey
For sure. He do. If you gotta think more the past two seconds. Yeah, two seconds. Like that.
Alexandria
You like, like the fake titties, the BBLS and all that?
Corey
It depends on the firmness or the. The.
Alexandria
The jiggle.
Paul
The jiggle, yeah. Like, if it got some wear and tear on it. Like, I feel like I'm not really like the.
Corey
You said it got some wear and tear.
Paul
I'm not really like the overly like. Like BBL type. You know what I'm saying?
Alexandria
You like natural more?
Paul
I like natural, yeah. I'm more titties than ass.
Alexandria
You like boob job titties or real titties?
Paul
I like real titties.
Alexandria
Like, you like if they hang a
Paul
little bit, if they look good and they push.
Corey
What's the biggest side you going big boys. Medium.
Alexandria
You like huge titties or like you
Corey
like them big joints?
Paul
Yeah.
Alexandria
You like huge. You like the huge.
Corey
You like the big joints?
Paul
I like all that it got.
Corey
It depends on your body size based
Paul
on like, bitch, open up top.
Corey
I got the big areola.
Paul
It's like, oh, shit. You know what I'm saying? It's like, it's all different.
Corey
He wanna get smacked with them motherfuckers.
Alexandria
I wanna get a boob job. Yeah, that's real.
Corey
Hey, look, I know hit. I've already. I'VE been listening to him. I'm over here. Like, I know.
Alexandria
So you're more boob than ass.
Corey
Hey, look, look. Smack me around with those boys, I'm dead. Bap, bap, bap, bap, bap. He rolling with that?
Alexandria
Yeah. That's crazy.
Corey
Oh, that's real, though. That's man talk. That's trendy.
Alexandria
Cool. Yeah, Everybody that.
Paul
I'm just a firm believer that stank, too.
Alexandria
That's what they say, the BBL smell. I don't know how true it is, but they say that.
Paul
I mean, it just seems very. If you got a ass, that's a big old ass.
Alexandria
Well, that's not always true. I have an eagle laugh. I don't have no bbl. And my do not smell.
Paul
I didn't notice that.
Corey
I didn't even.
Alexandria
Yeah, I know you don't know that, but I just keep it a cooking so people know. I don't have no stinking. But I have a. I don't have no.
Paul
You got a big ass.
Corey
The people don't know. Can you stand up?
Paul
Can we see?
Alexandria
Nah, he doesn't.
Corey
People don't know.
Alexandria
He tries to make me do a 360 in a bench card.
Corey
No, but she said the people know. The people don't know you got a big ass.
Paul
Compared to who? Like, like, like. What's the. What's the. What's the. What's the ratio?
Corey
They say she Persian, but she got some black in her.
Alexandria
I have a very big booty. I mean, compared to anyone.
Paul
You got a dump.
Corey
What you looking at me for? That's your question? That was your question.
Alexandria
I mean.
Corey
I mean, you know, Clydesdale, it's. You know, what's a Clydesdale? Y' all know what a Clydesdale is?
Alexandria
See how people don't know that?
Paul
Cause I don't want my ass on the Internet.
Corey
You know what a Clydesdale is?
Alexandria
No.
Corey
Well, a Clydesdale is like the Anheuser Busch horse. It's like the horse that's, like, more built than the other one, than the ones that you gonna see at the Kentucky Derby.
Alexandria
And so I am dead.
Corey
You know, most men, we say, oh, she's a Clydesdale.
Paul
A good horse.
Corey
A bill horse, right?
Alexandria
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Corey
Y' all crazy. Salute to that. This is dope as hell. I'm so glad he came over. Hey, doing this week, man. It's. It's BET weekend, man. What we got going on, man? You got. You got anything going on?
Paul
Yeah, I'm gonna be hitting a few different spots, but I'm Here for work. Like, I'm not really like the party. I don't go to clubs. I don't do none of that. I just go to the studio. I work. I'm kind of. I'm like the overly low key. If you see me, you gonna see me on YouTube or a podcast or at a five star restaurant. Other than that, period, I'm. I'm not really like a nightlife. So I work with five different artists this week and salute to them and I love that.
Corey
Anybody are you excited about working with or want. Is there somebody that you want to work with that you haven't worked with because you've worked with all the major players in the game.
Alexandria
Yeah.
Corey
You know what I'm saying? I mean, we can go down the list of your hit list, like top, like top tier. Is there somebody that you wouldn't mind that you would say, hey, I could work with him that you haven't worked with that you was like, like, hey, this can be a good connection.
Paul
I don't know. I think that in reality, just like all the like big stars and A listers, I pretty much don't work with them.
Corey
You gotta work with them all.
Paul
So to me it's just all about what's next. The new talent. I think that's how you get like, you get kind of like, like stuck in your own ways by just catering to what you think is what your own. I want to take work with shit to take me out my comfort zone. Like the whole ride over here, I was with my team Doc, Ronnie, salute to my whole crew and like we playing all the songs of people. I'm working, but I'm like not playing the big stars. I'm playing the who's next because like the next generation is whatever.
Corey
That's what's the way. That's what's gonna be the way.
Paul
I'm saying. So as long as you stay into the new and what's happening now. So like this week, who I work with, T. Grizzly. The guy, he's the best storyteller.
Corey
He's the best story. T. Grizzly, I would love to have your Truth or Dark, man. Let me tell you something, bro. You are the best storyteller. You up there with Biggie Smalls and Pot. Like to me, nah, he happy to me. I don't care what nobody else say, bro.
Paul
I with T. Grizz, but I mean, right now probably we got like eight records at radio right now that's going crazy. I got everybody single, I'm on everybody album. So I'm just kind of like. I'm just excited about, like, the new generation and everybody that we working with and just new artists and just new newcomers, you know, like, all this. All this other, like, with this music industry, like, it's kind of like, it's fickle. But as long as you stay collaborating and you stay open and you stay continuing just to be in the now, like, you're gonna win always.
Corey
Let me ask you something. So, like, you've been in the game, what, like, 15 years?
Paul
Yeah, yeah. Like, more than that.
Corey
Like, a little over 50 dove years. Like, are you like, is this something you gonna do the rest of your life? Well, then you're gonna be like, all right, I'm done. Let me settle down with life.
Paul
I talk to my therapist about this a lot because, like, you're a therapist? Yeah, Like, I go to therapy three times a week.
Alexandria
Three times a week.
Corey
Whoa. That's crazy.
Alexandria
That's a lot.
Paul
When you in a boss position, you can't really talk to nobody. And like we said, these things are weight relationships.
Alexandria
That's so good.
Paul
I do once a week dope, I just go vent. But, like, my. I don't know, like, it used to be like, I'm turning 40. It used to be like, when I. When I was growing up, a. That was 40. He acted 40. He moved like he was 40.
Alexandria
And he really did that.
Paul
Now the lines are blurred or whatever, you know what I'm saying? Jay Z, 56. And he's just about to perform a concert or this, that and third. So, like, all this is kind of, like, blurred. Like, but to me, I'm trying to figure out, like, what's my out. Like, I got enough money. I got everything I need. Yeah, like what? I think that that's real peace when you can actually be like, I'm good. Drop mic and just let everything flow. But I don't know, like, I'm searching for that moment. Real life.
Corey
Yeah. Cause I just feel like, like, in your industry, as compared to my industry, my industry says you're too old, you can't do it, your body don't move. So the same, like, you know, I play basketball. It's like, you're not. This is a young man sport in your industry. You can do this the rest of your life. So, like, after you've had hit after hit after hit, the money is coming in. It's like, what point do you enjoy your life? Like, like, I know you enjoy it now, but, like, let me tell you something about me being in retirement to Where I don't have to check in and go to practice. I don't have to be here. And, like, I'm enjoying life. Like, do you think that you're. I'm not.
Paul
Like, when you're scared of that shit,
Corey
bro, like, enjoy your life to the fullest.
Paul
I feel like when you start working, you did. My dad, who I love dearly, he's 76 years old right now, and this nigga still own fucking 12 to 13 apartment buildings in Chicago. We still got a real estate empire. This nigga still going to collect and rent from niggas. This thing is a multimillionaire. 76.
Alexandria
My dad is 78. He does 77.
Paul
Seven this year. This man going to collect the rent. And I just think that when you stop and you become dormant, then that's kind of like the end of your. But to me, I ain't gonna lie. Like, I'm building my career up to where, like, I don't have to go to the studio every day and just write all these different things. I think in 2027, I'll be in a position to where, like, I could let other people around me flourish, and I'll give more. More time to the. My personal life. Because I've worked 40 years, and I have no personal life. I want to give a little bit to my second half of my life. I think that turn 40, you at the. That's like. That's like, halftime. You know what I'm saying? So with me, it's like. Like you said, with rap and music, you could be Quincy Jones and do this shit until you die. But, like, for NBA, it's like, say, like, 36, 35, 34. You know what I'm saying? Like, yeah, nah, this shit about to be over. But I don't know, man. And to answer your question, I'm a Virgo.
Alexandria
I knew that.
Corey
Are you happy right now in life?
Paul
Yeah, for sure.
Alexandria
So I just want to say this real quick. Virgo. Okay. I could see that outer space was my jam. Yo, when I tell you I know where I was.
Paul
Yeah, you think you my twin? Like, I'm finding this shit out right now. Like, yo, like. Like, yo, I'm. Yo, I'm on to you. Like, I'm figuring this out right now.
Alexandria
Yo, let me say this. I remember because I'm very big on music, so music is nostalgic for me. When I leave here, I'm gonna listen to it. I remember where I was at and what I was doing when I listened to Outer Space for the first Time.
Paul
That's so crazy. Where did we do that song at, Doc? We was in la. I think that that was in an era when like, like ecstasy was at an all time low.
Alexandria
It made you feel like you were on ecstasy. When I tell you, I remember, I.
Corey
So that's early 2000.
Alexandria
No, I was messing with this guy. His name was Landon and he was like tatting up this like. Really?
Paul
Who? Bobby Brown, son.
Alexandria
No, no, I listened to that song and I remember where I was at. And I was like, I remember. This is so long ago, right? 10, 12 years ago. And I remember thinking like, this song makes me high. It makes me like music makes me high. It makes me feel so good. And there's only so many songs that can do that to your body. And that is one of those songs. I don't care what no one says, that was my outer space.
Paul
You gotta go play.
Alexandria
Oh, my God. That was.
Paul
See, the crazy thing is like. It's crazy that affected you like that. But for me it was more so like that. And when I did a song, the business with the girl, like that was
Alexandria
like, oh, that's my shit too.
Paul
That's when I figured out I could be like a R and B, like songwriter or whatever, because I was just like a rap nigger that knew a bunch of different melodies or whatever. And like I did autumn songs like Turned Up, I did by myself. We was on ecstasy. This was a different time. We were living where we living in Woodland Hills right now. We had like the.
Alexandria
Right here.
Paul
I had. I remember Jesse from Full House just moved out the crib. What's that name?
Alexandria
Oh, my God.
Paul
Yo, bro, I bought the crib from that bro. I got the crib. We was out here wild and just doing.
Alexandria
Yeah, wow. So such classic. So I just want to tell you, like that song and both of those songs give me the business. Those songs were so dope. And there were such Feel good.
Corey
Wait, I know that song.
Alexandria
Yeah, that's his song.
Paul
That's me as a rapper from there. That's right. That's what's so crazy though.
Alexandria
We're gonna play it right after this.
Paul
You'll never know, like, how this shit go. Like, you do that, you go through adversity, you try and find yourself as a young. Then from there I adapted a whole different name because. And then I've sold 400 million records as hip hop.
Alexandria
Come on. I love that. That's so dope.
Corey
Like the new generation say, clock it, clock it.
Alexandria
But no, I will say that we're super grateful to have you on.
Paul
I'm grateful too. I found out a lot.
Alexandria
I found out a lot too, about myself.
Paul
We twins and you got a dump
Alexandria
that's out of pocket.
Corey
That's crazy. No, no, he ain't. He. He ain't. She ain't stand up, though.
Alexandria
He don't know I'm not gonna stand up. So the whole thing.
Paul
I'm leaving.
Alexandria
First he says he wants me to do a Vince Carter on camera. So we did a thing where like.
Corey
Hold on. First of all, do you know, Can
Paul
I see a picture? Show me a picture.
Corey
Real. Do you know what the Vince Carter is? Yeah. Wait, what part?
Alexandria
Three hundred and sixty. So look, we did a thing where, like, if we get this many, like, and 50 Cent to comment, I'll do the 360 for 50 Cent commented and he was like, we need the 360.
Paul
And did you do it?
Alexandria
But we didn't get the likes, so. I didn't.
Corey
No, no, it ran up because we didn't have the likes.
Alexandria
We didn't get the likes. We didn't have the likes. We had like 20,000 likes.
Paul
I said, I want a 360. You were supposed to do a what?
Alexandria
Paul was supposed to do a 360. Turn around and. And show everybody my body.
Corey
What the.
Alexandria
He wants to show everybody my body all the time.
Corey
I don't to do the 360. Windmill Arm in the realm.
Alexandria
You said I shouldn't be doing that.
Corey
Like, nigga, thank you.
Paul
I do look it.
Alexandria
You heard that? He knows better.
Paul
He said, I'mma get myself together. I'm going do better.
Alexandria
He said I shouldn't be doing that and I should.
Corey
No, actually, it would have looked like he was on a sexy red video if you had have did that.
Alexandria
He said I shouldn't be doing that. And you saying I should. And that's the problem.
Corey
I didn't say you should. I'm just saying.
Alexandria
Oh, my God.
Corey
I'm just saying. The community people don't believe that. This is what I said.
Alexandria
What did you say?
Corey
People come at you because they don't believe you black. And I'm like, hey, all she gotta do is do a Vince Carter and they gonna believe that you black.
Alexandria
Well, Corey, hold on.
Corey
Look at your skin tone. Your skin tone. You Persian.
Alexandria
I'm half Persian.
Corey
Her mom is Persian. Or dash black. But they like, we don't believe you. You're Persian. Shut up. You can't speak on black people. And I was like, yes, she can speak on black people. All she gotta do is do A Vince Carter. And then she'll stop getting the hate on that so that it ain't nothing to do with your sexuality. And trying to explain me showing everybody my ass.
Alexandria
And Corey Hulk will come on here is like, damn. When she stood up, I'm like, damn. Like, I don't like to be sexualized.
Corey
I'm not trying to sexualize you on the show, but this is the truth. After dark. It's after.
Paul
It is after dark.
Corey
It's after dark.
Paul
I think it is nighttime outside.
Corey
So there's nothing wrong. Hey, if you're not of age, you can't watch this show. If this is offending you. If you're not of 18 or over, you can't see, like, all right, we have the rules in here.
Alexandria
I just don't want everybody to judge me on my body. I'm cool on that. And that's why I.
Corey
You want people to judge you on your face? Yes. Well, that's the same thing.
Alexandria
Or judge me on my personality and my vibe or something.
Corey
Yeah, people gonna judge everybody.
Alexandria
But I don't wanna get up and do a360 and get.
Corey
There's a criteria list that men judge. So it's a checklist. Boom. Face, mouthpiece.
Paul
Let me see a picture. I'm lost. Let me see a picture.
Corey
Just go to her Instagram.
Paul
Don't worry.
Alexandria
I don't have it on my Instagram. He knows that. No, I don't.
Corey
She does. We have it right here. Here. Here it is right here.
Alexandria
Where? Show it.
Corey
It's right here, bro. This is the last episode we did.
Alexandria
Oh, when you try to turn me around. Stop. Don't do that. You try.
Corey
It's not even that.
Paul
I go, bless you.
Corey
I mean, this is just a picture. This is. Is you. Like, it's not the full. But this is. This is just our last picture.
Alexandria
You can kind of like with your girl.
Corey
With my girl, Hazel B.
Paul
Salute. Salute to her. That ain't my girl, though.
Corey
You sing out with Hazel B.
Alexandria
Stop call her Hazel B. Her name is Hazel E. Hazel used
Corey
to hang out with Hazel E. They
Alexandria
were on Love and Hip Hop together, though.
Paul
That was in 2014. But we.
Corey
That's right. I forgot about that. You know what I forgot about? That that Hazel Lee was a guest on our show. She was dope.
Paul
She's. She's. She's a very cool woman.
Corey
No, she's super cool. She was a good interview, man.
Paul
But that. That was entertainment, for sure.
Alexandria
Yeah, I get it.
Corey
Was y' all a couple on there or something?
Alexandria
It was Entertainment.
Paul
I just. It was a bad light and it put me in a situation to not say the best things or whatever and not be the best version of myself.
Corey
No, we're not trying to promote that here on Truth After Dark. We understand that. We gonna keep that where it is. Things that's no need not to be said. I respect that. You feel me? Things that's no need not said.
Alexandria
What's understood don't need to be said.
Corey
Yeah, we good with that. We not trying to put nobody in blah, blah, but like hit man, it's been a long time coming, man. We appreciate you.
Alexandria
Yeah, we're so grateful. Thank you.
Corey
For one of the goats in this industry.
Alexandria
Yeah, he's such a goat. In the industry.
Corey
In the industry. And all you new artists and all
Alexandria
you old artists, play our song after
Corey
this in the middle artist, you want some hits?
Alexandria
No.
Corey
Why you don't with a listen to. Listen, listen. This what I be trying to tell. Tell them P. I'm the truth. Tell em P. If you wanna hit, go to hit maker, motherfucker.
Paul
I mean, it's only right. You feel me?
Corey
That's what it is.
Alexandria
Calvin, play outer space. Youngberg.
Corey
Hey, you spin that.
Alexandria
No, stop.
Corey
Spin that, man.
Alexandria
Stop. It's been real. It's been so real. Thank you so much.
Corey
This is the taking over the game. All right, everybody. Welcome to Truth After Dark.
