But first, Randy Moss calls out Tyreek Moss said in an interview with the South Florida Sun Sentinel when asked where Tyreek stacks up as the all time great receivers. He's nowhere all time where he's at today game. Tyreek is probably top five. I put him top five. Ocho, you agree with that?

Listen, I mean when we talk about all the time, there's no reason to to to bring up the question about somebody being all time when they're still playing the actual game. And he has a lot of, he has a lot more time to go but he is, he is top five. He was on a historic run. Obviously he had a down season last night last year. Obviously we know why because of the the inconsistent.

[Chad Ochocinco]

He got 11,000 yards because of the.

[Shannon Sharpe]

Inconsistent quarterback play at, at quarterback last, last, last season. But you have to realize we talk about all time. He has 11,000 right now, but he's nowhere near done. He's nowhere finished most of the time players bodies start to break down, they start to lose speed. But none of that has happened to Tyreek. And even if he does lose a step or two, it's still a step or two faster than everybody else.

I agree. Look, from time to time we do this, we did this with Tom and Peyton, whether they rank all time. We did this with Aaron Donald and, and J.J. watt. Where do they rank all time? Kind of Reavis kind of got that after that year that he had in 2009. He had that historically great season and when he had one of the great cover seasons in NFL history. And and so occasionally you'll get that I don't have a problem with, Mal said, because you're talking about 105 year history and like you said, he's still going now once his career is over. We got to have to have this conversation to see where he ranks because if I'm not mistaken, he has a Super bowl ring. He's a what, 78 time Pro Bowler. He's been an all probably he's on the if I'm not mistaken, I think he's on the all decade. He might not be on the all decade team. He might. I think he'll be on the all decade team in the 2020s. I don't know if he's on the all decade team or the 2010s because he got a late start. But with that being said, I don't have a problem with what Moss said because Moss is looking like hold up. How y' all just gonna have this man leapfrog a whole bunch of people. Now I know he's had like you said Ocho, he has what, two 1700 yard receiving seasons. No other player has more than one of those. He has two. And you're right, he was on a historic run, looked like he was going to get 2000. Caught a hamstring injury, got an ankle injury. I just think the thing is like and that's why it's tough, it's tough when guys that have gold Jackets say something because it's going to generate a buzz on your because man, you heard Randy Moss say and Randy is one of those historically all time great receivers. So it carries a lot like that. Then some then, then some analyst that didn't play the game or someone didn't play look I understand that's their opinion. Everybody has an opinion. But Randy Moss opinion, when he's talking about a receiver, it carries more weight.

What he said is really not that bad when you think about it. Tyreek. Tyreek being top five right now is a really good thing, even with the down season last year. Now, let's, let's not, let's not be fooled and be. And be caught up in the moment, you know? You know, and the fact that he had a down season, but there's nothing wrong with him. There's nothing wrong with him at all. But what Moss said is fair. It's fair. I just don't like the fact that the question was even imposed and asked to Randy Moss in general when Tyreek is still playing. That makes no sense to me at all. That's just a. I call it clickbait or creating unnecessary conversations that shouldn't be had when a player is still active. Anyway. That makes no sense to me.

Had, you know, you. If, if Tyra. Let's just say Tyreek had gotten an offensive player of the year in the process. Let's just say he stays one more year Ocho, and he gets two Super Bowls and he has it off. Because see, the thing is, when we put JJ Yarn Donald in there, what they got those dpo wise, they got rookie of the years and so they were. JJ had two. He's the only guy to have two 20, 20 sack seasons. Aaron Donald on a hit was on a historic run. And so after like year six, year seven, man, where you put AD at? I ain't just talking about defense. I ain't talking about defensive lineman. I'm talking about defensive player, period. Where do you put J.J. watt at? Because J.J. watt, I think he finished second one year for MVP when we hadn't had a defensive player win MVP since 1986. That was LT. So you know, we're looking at like, well, damn. And I agree. It's just that what Ma said, because when I, when I just saw the article, I'm like, well, damn, that's harsh.

But you know, you know that I read it.

He's saying he's not a historically great right? Currently, but he is.

Absolutely. And of course, of course the article, you know, the headline is going to draw you in. It's going to draw you in and force you and force you to click on it.

But that's what you got to do. You got to get somebody to read Ocho. If they say, if they just had Moss interview with South Sun Sentinel, ain't nobody Clicking that article. But when they put Tyreek ain't all time great. Oh yeah, absolutely.

I mean that, that's, that's the game. That's, that's, that's the sevenness of the media in order to have as what we call clickbait to get to the tune in and want to read what was actually said. But in, in a sense, when, when I think about it, it's not a bad thing. It's not a bad thing. There, There are so many receivers that came before Reek, you know, that laid that foundation for what he's able to do now. And when you think about all time greats, there have been some great ones on. There have been them. There have been some games that have come before me. During your time. Before your time. So I think what, what Moss is saying.

Don hustle got like 99 touchdowns on 500 catches. How you getting out of that? How you getting out of that? Touchdown. 500 catches.

Oh, that's crazy.

And when they didn't, when they didn't throw the ball like that, I mean you got, you got a lot of great receivers. You got a laugh is Gerald. Obviously you got. We, we. We know a lot of the main characters. We know Jerry, we know to, we know Randy. Well, you know, you got Marvin Harrison, you got Larry Fitzgerald. I mean there, there are some greats. But that's not to say if Tyreek get back on the, the, the path that he was on and he has another two, three years like that, who's to say when he's got 15, 16,000 yards that we're looking like, okay, well.

We, we're gonna have to have that conversation.

And B, we're gonna have to have the conversation. See, I, I don't know. Maybe. Maybe I'm just. I mean people say I'm getting soft, but I, I've never had problem giving people credit. I ain't got no, I ain't got no problem with that. I know. I know me. But hey, don't say bro. Stop it. You know damn well that man better than you. Stop. You ain't fooling nobody. I mean, why was up defensive lineman get up there and say, but I'm just as good as Aaron Donald. Really, dude. Man, I'm just as good as lt. Really, Dude.

It's different. Different. Listen, there's levels to everything, you know. It's very smart. It's very smart to understand the DNA in which your parents bless you with, you know, and to understand that you're nothing like a certain, like a certain individual.

And that's where a lot of people get in trouble at because they measure themselves against someone else. We see this young lady, she's measuring herself. I can't run that fast. I ain't got that car. I ain't got. Yeah, bro, I measure. I measured me against me.

And what people have to understand is comparison is the thief of joy at all times. But everyone, everyone is doing something for someone else. Validation always. Well, they had it on, so I'm go get it. Well, if they're. If they're wearing it, that means that gives me a certain look, a certain. Certain type of. Of status of some sort and is. As much as we say, I'm my own person, I don't want to be like nobody else. Everybody goes out and does exactly what everybody else is doing. Everybody. Everybody's sheep. Everybody's sheep. Anytime you don't follow whatever the trend may be, or you're a little different than what everybody else is doing. Oh, you weird. Something's wrong with him. Oh, yeah, they got everybody want to fit in.

It don't bother me, Ocho. I see these guys now. And, you know, I. I guess the thing now is guys painting the nails. I ain't buy the nail polish. Yeah, it ain't me. I don't care what. Coach Belichick said the risk was taken on the other side. As I told Robert multiple times through the years, I took a big risk by taking the New England Patriots head coaching job. I already had an opportunity to be a head coach at the New York jets but but the ownership situation was unstable. Belichick went on to say he was warned by multiple previous Patriot coaches and other NFL organizations that taking the Patriots job was going to come with many internal obstacles. I mean as much two things can be true.

Just take one thing from it that you can add to your game and go back and know that you've improved in some area, whatever it may be. And the funny thing about it, that the things that they're going to improve on these players that. That happen to show up include, including Jay. The things that they're going to improve on are things that the naked eye can't see people watching on tv. You're not even going to see it sometimes. The coaches might not be able to see it, but I want them to be able to go back and make everyone job around them easier. Hell, Jaden, go back and add something to his arsenal. Goddamn, coach, look at well, shit, this is something else. This opens up the playbook. Because now what I thought he couldn't do. Well, the shit now he can. But again, when it comes to the NFL, when it comes to players in general, Unk and Jadis, I'm not talking about you in general Unk. You know what, what coaches have to do. Coaches sometimes have to hide players weaknesses. So to me that always limits a playbook and what they're able to do.

But the thing that I did at the tight end position is that I ran routes. But I was always thinking about the fourth quarter. So although he might like, oh man, yeah, I did you up on that one. No, you didn't. I'm just setting your ass up for something I got in the fourth quarter when I need it. Because I gotta keep something, you know, I gotta keep a little cash on me. Don't never leave home without some cash. Cause everybody don't take credit cards. Everybody don't take American Express because they don't want to pay that 3%. Always leave home with a little cash on you. If it ain't no but 100 on showing 20s. But I will keep some cash on me because come fourth quarter, when you covered that seven route that you like that you was up underneath, you ran to the outside like, yeah, I got that. Now I'm gonna run that basic cross on your ass.

Like, sometimes you got to save it to a little later, you know?

Yeah, I had a question, too. Do you have. Do you have the freedom, you know, obviously, you're going. You're going into your third year, right? You're going into your third year.

Over there. As far as when it comes to the passing game, do they allow you. Now that you go into your third year, do they give you a little freedom to play with your split? Sometimes, because sometimes the plays and the routes that you run, they become repetitive. And obviously with the, you know, the defenders, obviously, they study and film. They know, well, hell, if you go plus two, I already know what he doing. If the ball's on the left half or the ball's on the right hash and he's inside edge, I know what's coming. Are you allowed to play with your split a little bit? Long as you end up in the same place every time?

Okay, 100. Yeah. Going into year three, for sure, you know, just understand the playbook and all that. The game's slowing down for me, so, you know, that's giving them more confidence in me to know, you know, do stuff like that, you know, move a step out from the hat, you know what I'm saying? Whatever they may be one step out from the space, switch my feet, you know, that kind of stuff. So, you know, all that kind of stuff, you know, that stuff make a difference for when you got confidence in the play. You can just play fast. For sure. They definitely, you know, giving me a little more freedom to do stuff like that, man.

Ocho, early in my career, I would. I would. I would line up wrong. Hey, Shirley, get over here. Then when I get. Oh, he don't even know what he doing. Yeah, I'm about to kick your ass. There's a 100 different ways to run one route and still stay within the timing of the offense. No, Anytime you get that many great players together in one spot and they all run the same routes, there's always something you can steal from somebody else. Given JD's work ethic, veteran teammate Zach Ertz is particularly confident that the quarterback will continue to progress in year two. From the outside looking in, you could say he had a phenomenal year. But in the back of his mind he said, I could be better this year. And it's crazy going into his second year how good he was last year, but he's going to have that mentality for hopefully the next 15 year. He has such high confidence in himself because he wants to be great. That's really, really resonates with the rest of the guys on the field and the team he's with. Commanders also. Oh, they signed Von Miller.

I mean, listen, they made it to the NFC Championship last year. They made it to the NFC championship last year with a rookie quarterback that changed that franchise around. A rookie quarterback that wasn't afraid of the big stage. Hell, you just played at lsu. You just played at LSU and had success. So coming over there to dc, coming to the Commanders, the stage is not too big for you. And that's exactly how you played all season long. Now the one thing they always talk about, the sophomore slump, I don't think they're going to be a sophomore slump because what they have done is they've been, they've gotten better offensively. They bought in Debo Samuels, they got, they got, got brother Debo. Defensively, obviously, defense, it, it wasn't that bad. They, they weren't, you know, they won the, the goddamn Steel Curtain or nothing like that. But you, you, you got Von Miller in. Despite what people may say, it's a great addition for them defensively. He can still, he still has a motor, he can still go. But I don't think the, the sophomore slump doesn't come from a quarterback not doing well. It come from film already being out there on him.

Going up to Steel Steelers gym, Omar Khan. And I'm telling him that's not happening. If there even trades trade that gets up there, I don't think it helps our team to trade a guy like that.
