Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Manziel gets brutally honest about his time in Cleveland. He feels he could have had a 8 to 10 plus year career or but one of the biggest obstacles was living in Cleveland. To be honest F, man, I hated Cleveland so much, and I know this is going to be tough to hear. That place definitely added to my effing depression along the way, for sure. He explained that living in the city contributed to his depression and took a toll on his mental health. Is it fair that Johnny is blaming the city of Cleveland for the lack of success that he's had that he had in, in the NFL?
Shannon Sharpe
I don't, I don't like it. I wouldn't. You, I wouldn't use the city. I wouldn't use the city as an excuse to know.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Lift your mic up. Can you lift your mic up a little bit? Don't hear me? No, no, cuz your mic is down. Yes. No, you good now.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, man, my m, my mic trip. My mic got ed. I'm sorry, man. Hey, hey. But, but listen. All right, Let me do it that way. Okay, you got me? Yeah. I, I, I would never blame the city. The city's not excused. I'm going to play football. Huh? I'm going to play football. I've been to Cleveland before. Hell, I love Cleveland. I love Cleveland. You know, there are things that I like to do when I go to a city like that. Matter of fact, if I'm just coming from Texas A M, I love me some Johnny Manziel. Huh? I love me some Johnny Manziel. Based on what he did in college. I don't want to go to a big city. I don't want to go to an atmosphere that is similar to that of what I had in college. I was the number one pick. I want to go to a city where it's not as fast as being in Miami. I want to go to a city where I can focus on what it is I need to do. If I want to go out, go to a nice restaurant, you know, go to a nice bar, go to a nice cigar bar, jazz club, you can have that. The city of Cleveland has all of that at your disposal. But everything else. I'm not sure what Johnny might have been looking for. I, when I got, I went to, I was in Cincinnati. But Johnny and I live two completely different lifestyles. That's why my answer would be a little different based on what he's saying. His lifestyle is a little bit different from mine. When I got drafted and I'm in Cincinnati, I ain't go nowhere except the cigar bar. Then I had my friends that had my homeboys. They introduced me to the nightlife. When I did go to the nightlife, to enjoy myself and just to get out, maybe After a game I went to something called Annie's, you know, they took me nannies. And I enjoyed it because the city embraced me as such where it wasn't no issues. But I don't drink, so what am I doing now? I only went out just to have fun with those that I met. Now we've been friends for 20, 20 some years, you know, and that was it. So, I mean, I understand where he's coming from because he's looking for more when it comes to the city based on the lifestyle that he lives. So my answer is completely different because hell, you could have put me in Timbuktu. I could have been drafted to the goddamn Green B. I wouldn't care. Do they have a cigar bar? Do they have a jazz club? And I'm here to play football, I can give two. Oh, I'm sorry, my bad.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
The question I would ask, Johnny, Johnny, were you prepared?
Shannon Sharpe
What do you mean prepared?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Be on the football field. Did you study? Okay, you see, the thing is Johnny, Johnny had great improvisational skills and that helped him in Texas. A mirror. You can't improv your way in greatness in the NFL. You can't, not at that position. So my question is, did you study? Did you prepare? Well, the last thing you would have.
Shannon Sharpe
To study and prepare as a quarterback for NFL team because you can't hide that, you can't get around it because you'll get exposed.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
And it showed. Did it look like he studied? Did it look like he prepared?
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, I see what you going see you going back.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
You looking at Texas A and M. I'm talking about Cleveland.
Shannon Sharpe
You got me. You got me.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
And so I think that's the thing, at the end of the day, we gotta, we gotta self, we gotta self reflect. We do Johnny know he didn't put the time in to be. To be what he says he could have been 8 to 10 plus years. Did you put 8 to 10 plus years of studying in? Did you put 8 to 10 years of meeting in? Or did you go, did you drink? Were you coming hungover? Were you ready to play? Those are questions you have to ask. You see the thing is, Ocho, when you don't, you can have discipline, you can have regret. Which one you want now? Both you'll have to live with the rest of your life.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, he was eight.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
How many times, Ocho, how many times have we saw somebody, man, if I did this, if I'd have did that, that's forever.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm what I'm. When I'm.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
So it's greatness. Johnny. Look, I sat down with Johnny over a year ago. It was great. He was very forthcoming. Told me some of the problems that he ran into at Texas A and M. Y', all, if you get an opportunity, go back and watch the interview. And when y' all get the. We all watch the interview. Ask yourself, man. Johnny, you ain't put the time in like you supposed to. Now we can blame. You can blame the city or whatever the case may be, bro. I mean, what. Let me ask you a question. What is in Texas? What is in. Where is. Where's Texan? In Brian. Texas. I think it's in Brian. I think it's Brian. Texas. Is that what? Texas?
Shannon Sharpe
College. College Station.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
College Station, which is next to Brian. It's College Station. That's a college town.
Shannon Sharpe
Where you been to a college town before, man? It's a lot to do. It's a lot to do.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
But let me ask you a question. If he wasn't playing like he was playing, guess what would have happened? He'd have been bored there, too. Is it. Every place is jumping when you that guy.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. And he was that guy. He was that. He was that guy. He. Hell, he could. He could have been. He could have been that guy for the Cleveland Brown for the next decade.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Imagine Cleveland would have been just like should have been. Hey, I get private. LeBron went to Cleveland.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. I mean, two. That's two different sides of the spectrum, too. Discipline, focus.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
One guy went there with a purpose, wanting to be great at a very young age, understood what it took to be great, and then put that. Put that plan in place.
Shannon Sharpe
But that's. That's why I just told you. That's why I said it earlier when. That. The first thing I said is going from Texas. Texas, excuse me. Going from college, going from College Station, you know, to Cleveland, Ohio, is.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Completely different. Probably be almost shocking, you know.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Cleveland love the Browns, Ocho. Cleveland love the Browns. Absolutely. Them jokers ain't been to a championship game, ain't been deep, had a deep playoff run.
Shannon Sharpe
Listen, one thing. Hey, Brown fans, since I was in.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
The league last time, I think the last time they went to a championship game was 1989.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
So you talk about 35, 36 years, and they still show up. 70,000. Although they lose more than they win. They still show up.
Shannon Sharpe
Yes, they do. Yes, they do.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Johnny could have had. Could have had those Browns fans eating out his hand. He could have.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, hey. He was box office, though.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yes.
Shannon Sharpe
Johnny was box office boy. He was box office. Yeah, I was excited. I was excited because I was hoping he bought that same energy. And this is coming for me as a Bengal fan. He brought that same energy that he had his Texas A M. And I'm thinking, damn, he bringing that to the NFL, let alone the Cleveland Browns. Well, I'm, I'm ready. But things didn't pan out, man. I see. I see Johnny all the time. I tell him I love him all the time, you know, but good dude, man. Good dude. Good dude. Outside all other stuff.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
But yeah, yeah, I really, I really enjoyed talking to him. I really enjoyed his candidness. And he, he admits he had problems with some substance. You know, he's been, you know, he's like, clean. I got my life together. I don't drink. I don't X, Y and Z. I said I'm happy to hear that. He, he looks good. He looks good and I'm happy for. I just hate it. I hate that he had to realize this a decade after the fact.
Shannon Sharpe
It's been a decade already.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
God, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Damn, I'm getting old. Jesus.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yep. Been a decade already. Ocho, why do you think Cleveland hadn't been able to find a quarterback? And do they have their quarterback in shadow?
Shannon Sharpe
You know what I think to put things into perspective, finding a quarterback or finding they the one. The change of franchise around is very difficult. Everybody is not as fortunate as the packers were to go from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers to Jordan Love. Look how long it took. I'm trying to see what the Dolphins. But Dolphins.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Danny retired in 99.
Shannon Sharpe
That's one tour. Where else can I go with this?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Houston.
Shannon Sharpe
What did they have that was like.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
No, let me take that back. Danny retired in 2000. John retired in 99. Danny played 17 years. John played 16.
Shannon Sharpe
Houston, you had car come in, you had. Damn. Who was that mashup was? Casey? Was Case Keenum.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Right, but Case Keenum, you had hoyer. But now you had, you had, you.
Shannon Sharpe
Have your, your franchise altering quarterback. You got your, you had RG3 with the commanders, you know, now you found Jaden Daniels. These quarterbacks like this that change your franchise around, that you can build around. It's so hard to find a good quality quarterback. And I don't even think the casual fan understands it. I don't even. I don't think they understand it. The Bears now.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Well, if they eat, everybody would get them.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. I mean, this thing, that's it.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
If we. Daddy. Everybody would drive.
Shannon Sharpe
Like picking them out. It's not like picking the apple out of the Tree. It's very hard. You know who else have been fortunate? Them goddamn Bangles. Them damn Bengals. Not not only at the receiver position, but the quarterback position too. Carson Palmer wasn't no goddamn slouch, by no means. Yeah, Andy Dalton wasn't no slouch by no means. It was someone, someone that you can build around. They made it to the playoffs multiple years in a row with Andy Dton.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Oh yeah. Andy Dalton like every year, like the first five, six years.
Shannon Sharpe
Andy Dton. The Joe Burrow. So I mean some teams are fortunate to, to. To always have some in the chamber. Hell, Philly. Philly went from McNabb, who was at the McNabb, Vic.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
To what's the guy. He won. He won the Super Bowl.
Shannon Sharpe
Nick Foles.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
They had Cobb. Kevin Cobb I think was the quarterback.
Shannon Sharpe
What? Who?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Kevin Cobb. They had Kevin Cobb. Kevin Cobb was right before Vic. Kevin Cobb came after.
Shannon Sharpe
Where the hell was I? I remember Nick Foles, Carson Wentz. Nick Foles is the Carson winch year when Carson got hurt. Right, okay, okay, I remember that. Yeah. It's a few teams. Hell, Detroit had a, had a, had a, a sweeper. Detroit always had a great quarterback. I mean, just the friends.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
No, they had Stafford, they had some, they had some lean years in there. They had Scott Mitchell, they had Eric Kramer. They had Hipple. Eric Hipple.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, no, I'm just saying. I mean, I'm talking about the, the magic in the gunslinger.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Well, you see you looking at, look, we talk about great quarterback play. We talking about almost three, four decades. Oh, Green Bay. So Brett, you have Brett Favre from 91, and he played 17 years. And then you get Aaron Rodgers and, and he played 17 years. So you had 34 years right there. And now you got Jordan Love who's on year four or five. So you got four, four decades possible five decades of great quarterback play in Green Bay.
Shannon Sharpe
That, that's, that's crazy. I mean the position very, the, the. The position is very, very, very difficult to find. But when you find a good one, there's a reason they last for 10 years or longer. Because. Finding, finding.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
And that's why they pay, that's why they pay them a boatload of money.
Shannon Sharpe
Absolutely.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
24 hours after reaching a long term contract extension with Garrett Wilson, the Jets rewarded Gardner with a record setting contract. Four years, $120.4 million extension, 85.653 million guaranteed. The two time All Pro becomes the NFL's highest paid cornerback based on average salary per year at 30.1 mil.
Shannon Sharpe
Well, hell, If Sauce just got paid Sertan and got paid. J.C. horn has gotten paid.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Stingley Horn, Rams.
Shannon Sharpe
Ramsey Stingley. Well, damn, who next?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Because that, that, that Broncos made Pan the Highest paid cornerback. Cornerback. 24 million now less than basically a year later, the defensive player of the year. He's already dropped the field.
Shannon Sharpe
Damn. You know what? They gonna have to come let me, you know what the Broncos gonna do? You know, you know what they're gonna do, right? Sertain is going to place up so well, I guarantee you management goes back and redoes it again. I guarantee you.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, but it, it's gonna take because you got to realize oo he's still like, he still got two years contract, but it's, it's. And so they add a couple years.
Shannon Sharpe
So they, it's almost, it's almost criminal. It's almost criminal though. I'm, I'm, I'm not trying to be funny. I'm not trying to be funny. But it will almost be criminal for him to be ranked fifth when it comes to play. When it's, when, when, when it comes to pay.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, I believe he's the best. I believe he's the best. And no, and that's not, they're good because I think Sauce and Stingley and Ram, they're good. But I think for me, I, I.
Shannon Sharpe
I got, Listen, I knew I already watched it. It's one thing for us to, to talk about him, it's one thing to watch it on TV to see what he does on espn, but they have all the fel the position and have to deal with him every day. And those that actually had to play against him to sit there and over have a 30, 40 minute conversation on how to beat this. He's good.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, he's good. He's good for sure.
Shannon Sharpe
You know, so sometimes, you know, media hype people up, huh? And then you see him in person, you'd be like, what the, this is what they talk. This.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
His dad, he come from a background where they work. Ocho, you know, you go to Alabama, you know Nick Saban, you go work Nick Saban.
Shannon Sharpe
Now everything he's advertised to be, he.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Is that he, that he. He's for, he's for, he's for sure that.

Hey, so we all make mistakes, but owning up is the right thing to do. You know a Degree Cool Rush deodorant well, last year they changed the formula and it did not go well with their fans.
Degree's whole thing is it turns up the sweat and odor protection when you turn up the effort. And good thing it does because Cool Rush fans really turned up the effort to bring back the original formula. One guy even started an online petition and Degree listened.
They admitted they effed up and are bringing the original Cool Rush scent back. And it's exactly how you remember it. Cool, crisp and fresh. It's back in Walmart, Target and other stores now for under $4.
There's a reason why it's been the number one men's antiperspirant for the last decade. It's the same reason why people were not happy when it change. So if you never tried it, it might be a good time to see what the fuss is about.
Head to your local Walmart or Target to try the OG degree cool rush for yourself.

Ocho, we had to bring this one back. Chargers running back Najee Harris will likely miss the beginning of training training camp with a non football on the non football injury list after suffering an eye injury with fireworks accident on the 4th of July. General manager Joe Ortez Ortiz told reporters that Harris has been receiving treatment from doctors at Stanford. That can't be good. The news come days after his agent said the injury was superficial.
Shannon Sharpe
Wait a minute. So his agent said the injury is superficial, but I'm assuming the best eye doctors in the world must be at Stanford.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Some of them. When you start going to. You start going to John Hopkins, you start going to Stanford, you start going to the Mayo Clinic, you start going to Mass General, you start going to the Houston, you go start going to the Cleveland Clinic.
Shannon Sharpe
I need to go see their ass too. Then you know, to fix. To fix this right eye. Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
You and I had a conversation earlier this year. We talking about Jetta on that dirt bike. I said, ocho, put that up. I said, come on, bro. Or wear a helmet. See how freaky that was? Now, let me ask you a question. Do you think that's Nig Harris first time handling firecracker fireworks? Yes or no?
Shannon Sharpe
Probably not. Probably not.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Oh, we don't think. Oh, you don't? Look, we've been athletes long, long time. I'm 57. You don't think certain things can happen to you. But that's what makes us who we are. When somebody tell, oh, so you ain't to go, man. You're gonna be right there at the Pork and Beans. You're gonna be right here in Liberty City. You ain't going nowhere. You the hell you say. I will be here, Porky. I'm gonna come back and visit the poking beans. I ain't gonna be here. That's what makes athletes and greats. Yeah, that's what make you don't. When people told, man, Jeff, man, get that up. Jeff Bezos, man, get that up. Now he been. See, boy, that's one. But look, Ocho, things that I can't replace, like my eyes, the stuff That I can't replace. Oh, man, I'll fool around with that.
Shannon Sharpe
Listen, fireworks in general, I, I shy away from just, just, just, Just in case there's a short fuse. I can't get away. I can't get away fast enough. I just. It, I. I just don't play with it. I don't play with it and I just watch from afar with the kids. Don't you like that? Now let somebody else light it. But you're not gonna light it. Now you. You sit on back here with me, you know, because if. If you act a fool, I' ma stop getting fireworks in general. And we're gonna go somewhere and watch it myself, right? Man, oh, man.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
And all they do is put all that mess. My grandma. Like, who gonna clean up this mess?
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, listen, we got paper everywhere. We gotta. We gotta order in which way? We got the garbage bag out there. Don't like the next one until you put it, the one that's already lit in the trash bag. Let it cool off, put it on the side. You put them all together, and we already had the trash bag already ready. Oh, we have.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Man, they got this big old thing, Ocho, this thing like this thing about this big around. They got all the fireworks.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. That's what I like. You can buy the bundles. You buy the bundles and I bought them. I bought a bunch of fireworks by the age group because, you know, my age groups, they range, you know, my older 27, all the way down to French fry at 3. So I got different groups of fireworks I got to get, and you combine them all. Boom. It's a party.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, Yeah. I mean it. You don't seem like to me. Fireworks were more fun when they were illegal. See, fireworks used to be illegal in Georgia, and so we had to go to the border of South Carolina. You had to go to the border of Florida in order to get them out.
Shannon Sharpe
Wait, in what city or state of fireworks illegal? I've never heard that.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
In Georgia they were illegal.
Shannon Sharpe
What part are you talking about? In the country, like, way the state.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Of Georgia, we had to go. We had to go to the cat. We had to go to South Carolina. The border of South Carolina. Or you had to go to Florida to get fireworks.
Shannon Sharpe
Well, that. Yes. Changed now, though, huh?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Okay, it's changed now. Yes, absolutely.
Shannon Sharpe
There's somebody.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
And it seemed like before it was fun. It was fun.
Shannon Sharpe
It was somebody.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
We ain't supposed to have nothing.
Shannon Sharpe
Somebody on Twitter. Yeah, I just thought about. It just dawned on me too. You said illegal. Said her and I go back go at it every year. Every July 4th, sometimes July 3rd. She tweeted me. This year it's about chad. This is Ms. Deborah from Facebook. Are you gonna light fireworks again this year? And give our former, former members of the army, Marines or whatever me and give them PTSD or P. How you say it? Yeah, by lighting fireworks. Are you gonna do it again this, this year? Osho. Her name is Ms. Deborah. And just, we jokingly just go, go at, go at it every year about no lighting fireworks. I'm like, no ma', am, I'm not gonna do it this year. I'm not gonna do it this year. Saying that it's, it's bad for the veterans for people to light fireworks. I'm like, well, Ms. Deborah, well hell, they have fireworks all over the world. I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm. What do we do?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, right.
Shannon Sharpe
But it's funny. It's funny. Damn.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah. But hopefully everything works out for him. Like I said man, he, I mean it can't be good if you're getting treatment at Stanford and they say you're gonna start on, on the non football injury list. So hopefully everything works out for him. It's nothing serious, it just, you know, man, but the minds that ain't nothing to play with. Chargers debuted their all navy supercharger uniform.
Shannon Sharpe
I remember that. Can I tell you fun fact about the, the old Navy blue. The Chargers last time wear that now all navy blue like that was with ladanian Thomason in 2003. 2003. Fun fact.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
And we beat the brakes off him in them same uniform. I'm clt at at the hall in a couple of weeks, but man, I like those, but I like those powders. I like those powder blues.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, you know what? Some people might not like it, they might compare it to Big Bird, but that all yellow. I like the all yellow too. It reminds me of the NFL Rush uniform too. That all yellow. I like it. Man.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
The man, the Charger when they were in San Diego and man, they would be firing that candle, they talk about the San Diego. I remember that.
Shannon Sharpe
I remember that.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear over here asleep. Teddy bear like to jump off the cow. You're like, daddy, don't do that no more. I'm sorry, bro. I'm sorry. And not to be outdone, the Bucks I'm bringing out, it's the 50th anniversary of, you know, 1976, where the Bucks became a France organization. They're bringing back Creamsicles. As a matter of fact, I got that helmet. I traded helmets one year at the Pro bowl with Hardy Nicholson, and I got. I got.
Shannon Sharpe
I got 56. He was good. Hardy was nice. Now Hardy was nice. Hey, I like the Creamsicle. That uniform real nice. But, hey, the Bucks was good and terrible when they had the uniform back in the day.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Oh, they started. Oh, oh. And 14.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, but the uniform. Sweet, though. That's real sweet. I wish more team. I wish more team did that. Went back to their throwbacks. Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Hey, they trying to sell some. They trying to. They trying to sell some. Trying to sell some jerseys.
Shannon Sharpe
Absolutely. And I. I don't like the fact that sometimes when it comes to the throwbacks, they get. They wear them just one game out the season. I don't like that.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, but. But you know, Ocho, what they was doing, they didn't let you do it because they didn't want you changing helmets because. But now they'll let you interchange helmets. You had to, like, stick with that one helmet.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, I see. I see what you mean.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
So they let them change. What do you think is the best uniform of all time? Oh, yeah. What's your favorite? What? You like the white? Did you like the orange? Did you like the black? What did you like for.
Shannon Sharpe
For us, for me, for the. For the Bengals, when they wear that goddamn all white. That all white helmet. Unbelievable, Unc. And then the whole stadium, all the fans come out in all white. Ain't nothing like that. That's now. That's raw now, as far as other teams, especially when we talk about throwback, the best throwback uniform to me. Everyone else. Some people might not agree. The old Seahawks, when the Seahawks were.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Oh, you like Dosi.
Shannon Sharpe
Goodness, man, that's. That's so raw, man. That old. That old throwback Seahawks. So beautiful, man.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, I like. I mean, I. I mean, a lot of people like the old Mile High uniforms. I mean, with the horse on it. Yeah, yeah. The box.
Shannon Sharpe
Man. I'm talking. Wait. Oh, yeah, yeah. With a horse on it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's dope. But I don't. I don't like that one. I like the. The. No, I like that. Yeah, that one. No, no, the other one. The other one. Yeah, yeah, I like that.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, you like.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, I like the uniforms. Yeah, y' all will, but them.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah. And the Ravens, we had. We just had the black. They got. The Ravens got, like. They got purple. They got all black. We just had the white. We had. You know, we had white. The jersey. That was the only thing. They got purple pants now. They got black pants. Now we just had white pants with the. The white. With the white with the road and then the. The purple for home.
Shannon Sharpe
Remember when. When the Patriots. When the Patriots were with the. With the guy on the helmet snapping the ball and they wear the red. The red jersey.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Red jersey with the white pants.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I got that.
Shannon Sharpe
That's. That's enough. Yeah, that's another nasty combo. That's nice.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I don't think. I'm trying to think. Because I traded with Ben Colts one year, and I'm trying to. I'm trying. I don't think I got that one. I don't think. I don't. I don't think. I don't think. Because that's. That is a throw. That's a throwback. That's a throwback helmet. They got some sharp ones, too, because they got the all white. They got the white with the red. They got the silver. They got the blue. Ocho. Shaquille O', Neal, he's had it with RG3. RG3 decided to repost a racial, a race, a racist edit of Angel Reese NBA 2K26 cover, which drew black backlash for amplifying the post, even as he insisted he was calling out racism. I believe you could have called it out without retweeting him. That's just me. We're going to discuss it in a minute. Shaq told RG3 to stop with his post about Reese. RG3, another. Another monkey post about my girl Angel Reese, and I'm gonna punch you in your effing face. Okay, it's enough. Like, I don't usually do stuff like this, but stop it, bro. You got your job. You got your podcast. Leave my angel alone. I'm. I'm the one calling her, telling her not to respond to effing. Stop it. That's the last time, K. Thank you. It's a shame all this stuff you did in your life. You're going to be remembered for the pot. You're going to be remembered for your podcast. That should tell you you're not that effing great. I don't want to be remembered. I don't want to be remembered for Shaq's big podcast. I do not like. Leave those girls alone. You already spoke about it. Let it go.

Degree Advertiser
Hey, so we all make mistakes, but owning up is the right thing to do. You know Degree Cool Rush deodorant well. Last year they changed the formula and it did not go well with their fans.
Degree's whole thing is it turns up the sweat and odor protection when you turn up the effort. And good thing it does because Cool Rush fans really turned up the effort to bring back the original formula. One guy even started an online petition and Degree Listen.
They admitted they effed up and are bringing the original Cool Ru ascent back. And it's exactly how you remember it. Cool, crisp and fresh. It's back in Walmart, Target and other stores now for under $4.
There's a reason why it's been the number one men's antiperspirant for the last decade. It's the same reason why people were not happy when it changed. So if you never tried it, it might be a good time to see what the fuss is about.
Head to your local Walmart or Target to try the OG degree cool rush for yourself.

Me personally, I believe RG3 could have made his point without retweeting it. I do, I do. I don't believe he had. I don't. Because his following, I mean, brother, make make reference. Make reference a the, the COVID in which someone use. You know, obviously this is a racist. It's unnecessary. It's uncalled for.
Shannon Sharpe
You don't even have to bring attention to it. Just scroll by it. I saw it too. I scrolled right by it. There's no need to respond to it because when you respond to it, it brings to the light of day and it creates conversation all over again. Yeah, there's no need. There's, there's no, I'm just, I'm speaking on me. I, you know, my black ass. I love controversy, but not that type. Listen, there are three things I will never engage in and rarely talk about. Race, politics, and religion.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Religion.
Shannon Sharpe
Those are two. Never ending. Never. We'll be here all day, every day for 24 hours a day. Yes, it's a never ending debate when it comes to those three things. I'm not, I'm not going. There's no need, you know, there's no need for that. I, I, I, I, I don't know. I don't know. I just, I, it's bad enough I don't really talk about nobody anyway unless they say something to me or say something about me. But I, I, I don't know what's wrong. I don't know what's wrong, brother. RG3.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I mean, I, I think the thing is, because RG3 has been so outspoken about Angel, Reese even, and he might have been trying to draw attention to it. Nobody, everybody's done turned him off because you can't say a hundred negative things and then try to post something positive and think pop, people gonna only see the positive. It doesn't work like that.
Shannon Sharpe
He probably been good though, this time, bro. I think he went about it the wrong way. He probably been good based on the backlash he received. Yeah. On his previous comments about someone hating someone, whatever it may have been, you know, not too long.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Correct.
Shannon Sharpe
And he tried to, you know, try to spin it and say something nice this time. But you got. You got to be able to read the room in certain situations and understand, you know what? Before. Before.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Before I hit.
Shannon Sharpe
Is this the right thing to do? It just wasn't. And then the account that he retweeted. The account he retweeted from had less than 100 followers. Like, what are we.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Thank you. That's my point. Remember the car? I tell you all the time that people like, man. I said. Because the thing is, is that a lot of times when people take shots at they. People want to punch up.
Shannon Sharpe
Right.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
So if that's the case, they want you to lend them your audience's ear.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. And then, you know, once. Once you press in, it takes away. It takes on the world of its own. Takes on the world of its own.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
So somebody says something. They got a podcast. Then Ocho and I. Man, let me see what Ocho, man, I know Ocho, and I'm gonna respond. Okay, we respond then. Let me go see what he said. Now. We've taken. We've taken our listeners, our subscribers, our followers, and directed them to there.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Nah, Shaq, don't punch the man in the face, man. They're mad at me. Look, Shaq like who he likes, and Shaq is a guy if. If Shaq for you.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, yeah, you good. You good.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
You can do any wrong. You can't do no wrong. That's how he is shacking. Shaq is a big, fun loving guy.
Shannon Sharpe
But he's a loyal personality, man. I remember he.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
He's a very loyal guy. And when he likes somebody or he, you know, he rock with you. He rock with you.
Shannon Sharpe
Today I got a funny story, man, about Shaq, man. I went to. I went to a legacy. You know, Me and Shaq, we got into a fight. We got into a fight by. At Krispy Kreme Donuts, well off of Crenshaw, across the street from Louisiana. Chicken. Yeah, I never.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Shaq owns a couple of Krispy Kremes. I know he. He was. He did own that one. I think it burned out. I think they build it back up. That's on. That was on punch.
Shannon Sharpe
I mean, I know Shaq probably gonna remember Shaq, and we. I know you're probably gonna see this. We had that fight. I forgot who y' all played. I picked Shaq up, I slammed him, and I hit him three times in the face. Boom, boom, boom, boom. And he tried to get up. He tried to grab me, but I went through his leg because he was so tall. So I went through his legs and came out.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how you hit him in his face. I'm trying to figure out how you hit him in his face.
Shannon Sharpe
He got in my face. Like, he bent down and he thought I wasn't gonna hit him. So I caught him with three quick. One, pop, pop. And then he went to grab me, and I just ducked up under him like a little kid, you know how Little kid.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
And that's where you picked him up?
Shannon Sharpe
No, I wasn't gonna pick him up. I just went on the other side and I threw my setup. I threw my set up. Like, I mean, what you trying to do? And, and that's how I ended. The police came and it ended. So technically I beat Shaq ass.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Do you, you want us to set.
Shannon Sharpe
That up, me and Shaq? No, no, no. I'm saving everything for. For James Harrison. I'm saving everything for him. I just thought, you know, the world should know about that. That little fight me and Shaq had outside of Krispy Kreme, and it was all behind some donuts. It was awesome. He took, he took one of my, One of my, One of my glazed donuts. I'm like, damn. Really? And that's when he came down. He looked down in my face and like, I was nervous.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
So my reaction, it just. Because I was boxing back then, because when we, when he was with the Lakers, I was like, I was heavy in the boxing, so I just hit him with a three piece and he went to grab me and I went through his legs like a little kid. And the police came.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, I don't. I mean, I think we've all been. Got sometimes fake accounts and we, you know, re. Retweet stuff. I just, I, I, I only, you know, if it ain't. If it ain't our stuff. Club shakes your nightcap now with you.
Shannon Sharpe
I tweet all positivity. I tweet positivity. But what I do, love what I do do, so I can keep a healthy balance on my timeline. I will engage in negativity because everything can be positive. Everything can't be positive. You got to keep a healthy balance on your timeline. So if somebody talks, I'm fine right back because I, I need that. I need that. I need you to understand. You ain't just gonna say anything because I'm going to Respond to you, and it's a good thing. I. I like it. I love it. And I do it with. I do it with love. I do it with love. Oh, matter of fact, I forgot. I forgot to tell you, too. I got. I got. I got a new job, too. Yeah. In Pembroke Pines. For those that are watching, anybody that lives in Miami, I'm at a nail salon, and in. In Pembroke Pines called Lilic Nail Spa. So if you need manicure, pedicure, come by and see me. I'm there on Fridays. Fridays from 12 to 5.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Hopefully, Shaq and RG3 had a conversation off the air probably, and they.
Shannon Sharpe
You think he did? Yeah, I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure he did. Hey, look at Teddy Bear. Hey, what thanos at?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
He can hear you. Shelly. Probably in the bed. On the bed. Sleep with Shelly.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, man. Hey. Hey, Teddy Bear. Teddy Bear. If you ever want to get away, come on down here to. To Miami. I'm gonna take you to the dog park in downtown, right off Biscayne Boulevard. They got them out there. You hear me? Hey, everything. Hey, dog breed. Everything you could think of. Pomeranians, Chihuahuas, Shih Tzus. Take your pick, whatever flavor you want. Golden Doodles, Labradoodles.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
He said I got. He said I got. He can say I got fixed. I can't do nothing.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, you got him fixed. Oh, come on. What you doing? Damn.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
The Mavs are the betting favorites to land LeBron. The Mavericks are plus 125. The Heat are plus 500. The Cavaliers plus 550. Golden State plus 600. The Knicks plus 800. Ocho, do you think these rumors are true? Is Braun going to the Dallas?
Shannon Sharpe
LeBron is not going anywhere. LeBron is not going. I just talked to LeBron two days ago. Now, I didn't want to bring up the situation about the rumors that I'm hearing. You know, it's just honest conversation between. Between two people, you know, and. And I think if he was. If he was going to Dallas, he would probably give me a heads up because he's someone that I'm someone that LeBron confides in, especially with information of this magnitude and this important. Outside of that. The rumors come from somewhere. They come from somewhere. Things like this stir up. You mean to tell me we didn't know Luca was leaving the goddamn Dallas Mavericks and nobody knew, but all of a sudden, rumors about LeBron are circulating about him leaving the Lakers and going to Dallas all of a sudden? Absolutely not. Somebody created this because something's going on and they're hiding something from the rest of the world. And this is a distraction.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
LeBron is on the last year of his contract. LeBron is on what they call an expiring contract. LeBron is never, ever, when he's always had an option, he signs out of the contract, signs another two year deal, one plus a player option. This was the time LeBron opted in. There's no more years on this contract.
Shannon Sharpe
Are you, are you saying that, are you saying that to say it's a.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Possibility being reported, is being reported that LeBron wanted another year? They said, no train's gonna stop here. Now you can catch another train, but the train's gonna stop after this year in Laker in Los Angeles.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, they got, they listen and I, I don't see it happening. I'm just telling you just based on the conversation I had with him. Most of the time, when some of this magnitude is, is going to happen, a team not wanting your services after this year, when you ask for another, then you wouldn't be in an upbeat spirit. You wouldn't be feeling good about yourself. You'd actually mentioned it in conversation.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Well, he about to make 53 million, Ocho, so ain't nothing to be down about.
Shannon Sharpe
But still, outside of, outside of the money, you know, it ain't even about the money for LeBron anymore. You know, he's already a billionaire. So despite being able to make 53 million, the fact that this team is telling me I finally come to a point in my life and career where they don't want me. And that would, that would be.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
It's gonna happen. You just, you just told me an hour ago it's gonna happen.
Shannon Sharpe
I say everything has an expiration day. How it does. You right, you're right.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Okay.
Shannon Sharpe
You're right. You right, you right.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
And LeBron is on an expired expiry contract.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, I, I, that's, that's unfortunate. I don't, do we have an expiration date? No. Okay.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I mean, the Vegas and the, the thing, I, I think he wanted to like this year and get one more year and then like next lake, next year was going to be when he has this, you know, his, okay, I'm retiring, he gets a rocking chair, somebody buy him a motorcycle, somebody buy him a cardigan that somebody grandmother knitted and stuff like that, or his, you know, you know, something, you know.
Shannon Sharpe
Like. Right.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Stuff like that. But it's going to be very interesting. It's going to be very, and people like, man, I'm Tired of talking about LeBron. What do you think we gonna talk about?
Shannon Sharpe
You're right.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Until, until the trade day. Until he gets traded or the trade deadline passes and he's still on the Laker is going to be talked about. And then guess what? Oo. It's going to be talked. They make the playoffs going to be talked about. Where will LeBron play next year? Is he going to be back for the Lakers?
Shannon Sharpe
And I, I just don't like the fact that they didn't give him another year. I'm, I'm not, I'm not curious how that affects Bronnie in, in play. But I think LeBron is still trying to stretch his career long enough until his other son plays it. I believe he's going to Arizona, if I'm not mistaken. Right. Until he gets his hearing in Arizona and then gets the opportunity to play. You know, being able to say I play with both of my sons will be a tremendous accomplishment. Accomplishment that I. A feat in general I think will never be done again. You know, as far as longevity is concerned for any of the athletes that play the game of basketball. But I think it's dope. I think, I think it's dope. And I think if LeBron, hypothetically speaking, just happens to go to the Dallas Mavericks, what are the chances they win and hoist that trophy next year?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Well, I would like give him a great chance if Kyrie was healthy, but I don't know if Kyrie's gonna play. Kyrie might not play at all. Kyrie is a guy. Kyrie's a guy. He's gonna make sure he's 100 healthy because he don't want anything. Kyrie's dealt with knee problems and he know he dealt with knee problems and because he came back too soon, you know, he. Even the first year and when they went to the championship in Cleveland 2015, he, you know, he played and then that knee went out on him. So Kyrie. Would I be surprised if Kyrie missed the entire next year?
Shannon Sharpe
The whole season?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I would not be surprised at all.
Shannon Sharpe
Because he's not until he's 100% right.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yes. Three time NBA All Star Bradley Beal has agreed to a contract buyout with the Phoenix Suns and plans to join the Los Angeles clippers on a two year deal. $11 million with a player option after clearing waivers. Ocho, does Bill tilt the needle with James Harden and Kawhi. Can't hear you. Your mic went out.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, here we go. We back. Yeah. Okay. I, I said, I said you would Be better versed. Now he's just coming from obviously over there in Phoenix where we talked about a trio with Booker and Kevin Durant and they didn't look like they should look as you as a unit is together. So I'm curious. You would know better than I. Does that mean is he going to look better now or get the opportunities and be the. The scorer he once was when he was with the Wizards. Now that he's with Kawhi and Paul George.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I mean, he should have more space now. He should have had more space with kd. I. I don't know if he moves the needle for me.
Shannon Sharpe
You don't think so?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I. I thought. No, I thought Norman Powell would. Norman Powell is a better fit because Norman Powell can play off the ball. He doesn't need the ball. Norman. Norman Powell is a better spot up. Bradley Beal. When he was going to the All Star Games, he was. He was. Had the ball.
Shannon Sharpe
The main guy Kawhi.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
And James Harden's gonna.
Shannon Sharpe
How can you be a player of that magnitude and actually need the ball to be successful? He can play off the ball, I'm sure.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Well, he didn't in Phoenix.
Shannon Sharpe
Well, you know, when he was. When he was at Washington, he had the ball in his hands much more. Damn.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
He was the guy. It was him and John Wall. See, he's never been. He. It's hard. It. Look, it's one thing to go, okay, be the guy and then go to number two. Well, what about when you're the guy and you go to all the way to number three?
Shannon Sharpe
I mean, as good as he was in Washington, he shouldn't have to go to number three.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
So he gonna be in front of who KD Book or James Harden in Kawhi. I'm talking about who's gonna be not.
Shannon Sharpe
Be in front of them. Just the fact that all of these players are good or elite scores are just good and journey at what they do. I just don't understand how the maturation and playing together as one, I don't understand how it never works. So it's just.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I do. Let me ask you a question. How would it work if you put Jamar Chase, Justin Jefferson, Tyreek and CD Lamb on the same team? How would that work?
Shannon Sharpe
Well, who. Who the quarterback?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
It don't matter who the quarterback. Cause everybody used to getting 160 targets. Well, if I give everybody 160 target, that's 640 passes. Yeah, that ain't happening. You know that. I know that. So now, now you know how that don't work.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, that, that, that. That's crazy. That's. That's crazy when you think about it too. As I. As I'm continuing.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
If I put Saquon. If I put Saquon, Josh Jacobs and Derrick Henry on the same team, how does it go?
Shannon Sharpe
Somebody gonna be unhappy. Somebody.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Because guess what? You got one ball. Which you. Which big three was worse? Kevin Durant in Brooklyn. Kevin Durant in Phoenix. Phoenix. Hey, but, hey, they missed the playoffs entirely.
Shannon Sharpe
Don't think about it though, man. We talk about. We talk about, man, Bradley Beal is a walking bucket, bro. We ain't talk about no. Just no regular. I mean, I don't know, maybe. Maybe some people might have forgot. I ain't forget. You know, even with my short time of watching the game of basketball, I didn't seen Buddy get buckets. So saying because he can't have the ball in his hands, it's affecting his play. I just ain't buying that. I'm not seeing him as a player. That's one dimensional. That can be effective. Just because you didn't have the goddamn ball in his hand, he's a score. Should be able to play off the ball. Coming off pick, coming off rolls, I'm coming off screens, pop and shoot this basketball.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
That's Kevin Durant. He ain't Kevin Durant.
Shannon Sharpe
A different, different style. Okay, you're right, you're right.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
That's. I'll be stiff. Was able to morph his game and play alongside Katie. Katie was able to morph his game. But, yeah, I didn't think the Bradley Beal thing was going to work because basically he and book.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, okay, okay, now I see now, now you're making more sense to me now. I got you. I got you. I got you.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I got two. I got two of the same things I didn't need.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. But also, also in Bradley Beal's case, we have to understand that also injuries have hampered him looking and being effective as well. So not even being able to get on the court to be efficient with those other two also helped.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Think about it. Oo. You gotta sacrifice. If D. Wade. Chris Bosh doesn't sacrifice in Miami, there ain't winning nothing. You see the sacrifice. D. Wade said, you know what? I'm gonna take a backseat. Chris bosh was a 20 and 10 guy. Said, you know what, guys? I'll take a backseat. LeBron continue to do what you do.
Shannon Sharpe
Sacrifice. Because I took. Hold on. I know about sacrifice. When I asked and beg management and Marvin Lewis and Mike Brown and Katie and Choi, please, let's go get Tio and bolster this offense even more.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Teddy Bear, I'm put you down, bro.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, if this light go off one more time, I know something.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
But I hope. Look, but the thing is, is that Bill just needs to understand they don't need him to be the Bradley Bill that was in Washington. They don't need that. He might want to be that, but that's not what they need.
Shannon Sharpe
Wait, when you say that's not what they need, what do you think they need then? If Bradley Beal isn't the answer to.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Help bolster that offense, they don't need him to score. 25, 30.
Shannon Sharpe
That's what I'm saying. Okay. Okay.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
That's why I. For me, Norman Powell is a better fit with Kawhi and, And, And. And James Harden than Bradley Beal.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay. I like it.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
But we're gonna find out. Klay Thompson and Meg the Stallion has launched.
Shannon Sharpe
They go together. Hold on. Which. Hey, whatever. Hey, boy. Clay hitting threes on and off the court, huh? Okay, okay.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Great catcher. Yeah, he a great catch.
Shannon Sharpe
Great catch. And shoot.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Catch a shoot shooter.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, yeah. I'm happy for my sister Meg, too, bro. Go ahead, Go ahead, man.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
He don't rest. Yes.
Shannon Sharpe
But me. And you know what's funny too, right? You know, I remember. I ain't tell you. I know I tried my hand at music and me and Meg had, like, we had a little song together, but I think. I think it got scrapped. Yeah, that. Yeah, that's my dog now. My dog. God damn me. Goddamn Megan. Clay boy. Okay, okay. God damn. Hey, long range, huh?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
We expect a big year from Clay, you know, normally. Hey, happiness.
Shannon Sharpe
Come on. Take, take, take. Take your time. Take your time. Go ahead.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
No, no, I'm just saying. I mean, look, he. He. He's normally been very private.
Shannon Sharpe
He tries. He tries. He's too big of a figure to be private, though, right?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
And, you know, look, they young. Hey, have fun.
Shannon Sharpe
Absolutely. That's what it's. That's what it's about, huh? That's what it's about. You know, no matter what people say, you know, for, you know, with Clay, with. With Meg, your life is short. Life is short. Get out there. Whoever wants you, that's what you do. And I. I see a lot of people. A lot. I know. I know a lot of fellas probably upset, you know, at Meg, and a lot of women probably upset at Clay, but the people upset never even had an opportunity that they never had. They probably never have a chance anyway. Yeah, the people that's mad, but y' all ain't gonna have no chance.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
That's the thing. People be like, oh, he. He can do better. He. So what? He should have told you. She should have picked you.
Shannon Sharpe

That's where I'm going with it. So I'm not sure where Clay's head is at, but I'm telling you where my head is, you know, six, six. And you look at some of the other NBA players and. And their kids and. And how successful they've been. I don't. I don't know if Clay is thinking what I'm thinking, but I'm telling you what I'm thinking. No. Okay. Yeah, Yeah. I want to make sure we're on the same page.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson

Shannon Sharpe
To say, listen, if she five, nine, and he said he's six, four, we definitely getting something. Six, six or six, seven. Whether it's a girl or boy. We got one going to the NBA or we got something going to the wnba.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Man, they just started dating. Oh, let's call them out, man. Let them have some fun. Damn.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm thinking long term, though. I'm thinking long term. Okay, my bad.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Can they get a week under the bed?
Shannon Sharpe
How long it's been?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Okay. Give or take. Kendra Lamar, super bowl halftime show, has been nominated for four Emmys. The halftime show, which headlined Kendra Lamar's hit single Not Like Us, received nominations. Outstanding variety special live outstanding directed for a variety special, outstanding music direction, outstanding choreography, variety and reality. Nobody has ever gotten this kind of life out of a disc.
Shannon Sharpe
Obviously. I think it's the times that we're into unc. It's the times that we're in. The disc was. Was about. And to someone that has been almost invincible for a very, very long time. He's been the top artist in many categories for a very, very long time.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Look at all the streams he got. Look at all the number one songs he got. Look at all the diamond stuff he got.
Shannon Sharpe
Most definitely. Most definitely.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Look, but you. You know, you win some, you lose something. I mean, bro, they. He nicked you. Now he got. What? What's that? What's the album? He got out, now he got What?
Shannon Sharpe

Chad Ochocinco Johnson
What did I miss? Yes. Yes. Debuted at number two. What? Number one. But damn. Listen, Drake gonna be just fine now. Ocho, it's time for our last segment of the week.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, I don't feel. I felt good tonight, bro. I would. Hey, hey, at least we on tomorrow. Yeah, good, good. Cause I got some more to talk about. I'm feeling good, too, boy.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Mayhem. Matthew, have y' all ever thought about commenting on the WWE? Like Pat McAfee? You and Ocho going at it would be hilarious.
Shannon Sharpe
Coming. I don't want to comment on wwe. I want to wrestle. Put me in the ring. Put me, man.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
No. Well, you go right ahead. I don't want to do it in the ring.
Shannon Sharpe
We got a tag team. We could tag team against Pat MC and somebody. I'm for real. I mean, could you imagine me and you on Raw?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
You and Jordan.
Shannon Sharpe
Y' all got it, my man. Me and you on Raw. Can you imagine that?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Hey, maybe me and me, we know how you like.
Shannon Sharpe
Wait, what you say? What you see? Hey, you said something slick. Hey, can you imagine me and me and. Wait, which one of the Paul brothers. Maybe I could fight one of the Paul brothers. Oh, Logan. Me and Logan.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Me and Logan.
Shannon Sharpe
Cage match. I. I know two. I do, too, because I understand the artistry that goes into wrestling. It's an art in itself.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I don't. I understand the art of it, but I don't want any part of it. I don't want to wrestle. I. Look, I got repaired hips, man. I try to jump over somebody and out of the socket, man.
Shannon Sharpe
That'd be great tv, too, if you get hurt.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
No.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, just think about it, man. I can see. I can picture the storyline right now. Unc off the top rope. You land right, boom. Hip comes. Your hip comes out of place. But you crawl over and manage to get to me. Boom. Tag me in. I go in, start wearing Pat McAfee out, hit the ropes, clothesline. Oh, man, you can't write it no better than that.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, write me out of that script. Kimber Dover Jr. Said, My question is, where do you rank Von Miller among all time Edge rushers? And he up there. I mean, you consider that, you know, he was defensive rookie of the year. He was a Super bowl mvp. I mean, he took the game super bowl over Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers. You know, obviously it starts to start with lt, but you have to put him up there. See, edge rushes. Now you talking about end. See, I look at edge rushes like. Like linebackers, but now edges is also defensive ends. It used to be outside linebackers. Lt, The Derrick Thomas, the Cornelius, Ben Michael, Kevin Greens, Pat Willings, guys like that. I think when it's all said and done, I think you're gonna find himself in Canton. Absolutely. Marquis Farr. What's up, fellas? Marquis Fars from Macon, Georgia. I appreciate what you guys do. Thank you, man. We appreciate the support. Thank you guys for watching. We really appreciate that. From the crib, Dr. Frank L. Bellamy. Hey, fam. Who do y' all got running the east this year? Afc. Nfc. Unc, I know you got jokes about my Cowboys, but it's all love AFC Buffalo. Until somebody. The Eagles did not take a step back.
Shannon Sharpe
They got better both sides of the ball. On both sides. On both sides of the ball. The Eagles got better on both sides of the ball. Afc. I don't see how you said Buffalo. I know. I'm. I'm me. I'm biased. So you know where I'm going. You know where I'm going. I got. I gotta stick to my guns. I think this is our year. This is our year on.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Y' all in the AFC East, y'. All.
DSW Advertiser
He said.
Shannon Sharpe
He said AFC.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Dr. Frankie Albert said the east this season. AFC or NFC?
Shannon Sharpe
See? Oh, East. Well, God damn. You know, Buffalo. Buffalo gonna run the AFC east for. For a very, very long time. Ain't no disrespect to the Dolphins.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
What's up, Ocho? How good could Odell Thurman have been? He was ultra talented.
Shannon Sharpe
Odell Thurman was nice boy. Hey, Unk. You remember Odell Thurman?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
He was a linebacker.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm talking about. He was a thumper. Went to Georgia.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, Georgia.
Shannon Sharpe
But Odell was nice. But hey, Unk, he was nice. I'm talking about really nice. You know, a little undersized sideline. The sideline feel the A gap. When he's a thumper. The kind of thumper like kid. Damn. What's his name? Played for the Steelers like Brandon Spikes. They. They're a little bigger.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Oh, you know, every time.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, Kendra. Every time they feel a gap and you got a tackle pulling, you got a car, a guard pulling, and they fold the guard. A tackle like that. He was one of them, a thumper.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Cyril P. Said. Hey, guys, who is Amara St. Brown's? Closest comparison from the past. Best reception rate, Gorilla glue hands, Motor out of this world. Who would you compare him to? Oo. Amon Ross St. Brown.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, forget everything he just said. Let's talk about the route running, because that's his specialty. Amon Ross St. Brown is his. His specialty is his route running, no matter where you put him. You talk about giving the illusion that I'm going to do something that I'm actually not. Well, he's one of, he's one of the best at it. A comparison for, for Amara. Oh, man, it's been, it's been so many great ones. Is. Is almost like, oh, man, that's not fair. And that's, that's not fair because he doesn't, he doesn't, he doesn't have to do all them, all them, all them tricks and all that stuff, you know. Ben Johnson, tell Amon Ross St. Brown to line up, outside, line up in a slot, and I need you to get open on whoever the nickel is. And he can just get open. No tricks, no gimmicks. Even though they have tricks and gimmicks that they can do. He can get open on the muscle out the slot, and there's not that many slot receivers that can do that.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, I can't thank anybody off the top of my head, Ocho.
Shannon Sharpe
And it's been some good ones too, man. It's been some really, really good slot receivers that are really just shifty. Being able to transition and, and manipulate linebackers, you know, and getting open, it's just, it's too many.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson

Release Date: July 17, 2025
In this dynamic episode of Club Shay Shay, NFL legend Shannon Sharpe teams up with Chad Ochocinco Johnson (commonly known as Ocho) to delve into pressing NFL topics, including TJ Watt's contract dispute and an unfiltered discussion with Johnny Manziel about his tumultuous time in Cleveland. The conversation is enriched with candid insights, memorable moments, and engaging banter, making it a must-listen for fans seeking a deeper understanding of their favorite sports personalities.
Timestamp: [02:17]
The episode kicks off with a heartfelt discussion about Johnny Manziel's candid revelations regarding his stint with the Cleveland Browns. Ocho brings to light Manziel's reflections on his limited NFL career and the personal struggles he faced:
Chad Ochocinco Johnson: "Manziel gets brutally honest about his time in Cleveland. He feels he could have had an 8 to 10 plus year career or but one of the biggest obstacles was living in Cleveland."
Manziel attributes his depression and lack of professional success to the challenging environment in Cleveland, a point that sparks a thoughtful debate between Shannon and Ocho.
Timestamp: [02:50 - 09:44]
Shannon Sharpe expresses his disagreement with blaming the city for Manziel's struggles:
Shannon Sharpe: "I wouldn't use the city as an excuse to know."
Ocho counters by emphasizing personal responsibility and preparation, questioning whether Manziel truly dedicated himself to studying and training for the NFL:
Chad Ochocinco Johnson: "Did you study? Did you prepare? Well, the last thing you would have."
The conversation explores the broader challenges quarterbacks face in maintaining discipline and focus, especially when transitioning to a demanding city like Cleveland.
Timestamp: [11:14 - 16:50]
Shannon and Ocho delve into the difficulties NFL teams encounter in securing a long-term, franchise-defining quarterback. They compare various teams' experiences, highlighting Green Bay's remarkable succession from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers to Jordan Love as a benchmark:
Shannon Sharpe: "Finding a good quality quarterback... it's very hard."
Discussion includes references to other franchises like the Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, and Cincinnati Bengals, evaluating their quarterback situations and the impact on team performance.
Timestamp: [20:45 - 26:49]
The hosts address recent news about Chargers' running back Najee Harris, who is expected to miss the start of training camp due to an eye injury from a fireworks accident:
Shannon Sharpe: "I need to go see their ass too. Then you know, to fix. To fix this right eye."
They express concern over the severity of the injury despite the agent's claims of it being superficial, emphasizing the importance of proper medical attention from renowned institutions like Stanford.
Timestamp: [29:12 - 38:21]
A heated segment unfolds as Ocho criticizes RG3 (Robert Griffin III) for retweeting a controversial post about NBA player Angel Reese that sparked backlash:
Chad Ochocinco Johnson: "RG3 decided to repost a racist edit of Angel Reese NBA 2K26 cover... I'm gonna punch you in your effing face."
Shannon supports the stance against engaging with harmful content, advocating for positivity and avoiding unnecessary conflicts on social media:
Shannon Sharpe: "There are three things I will never engage in and rarely talk about: Race, politics, and religion."
The discussion underscores the responsibility public figures have in managing their online presence and the repercussions of their actions on their reputations.
Timestamp: [44:05 - 47:09]
Shannon and Ocho tackle rumors surrounding LeBron James potentially moving to the Dallas Mavericks. Shannon firmly denies the rumors based on his recent conversations with LeBron:
Shannon Sharpe: "LeBron is not going anywhere. I just talked to LeBron two days ago."
They analyze the credibility of such rumors, considering LeBron's contract status and his influence on team dynamics, ultimately concluding that the trade is unlikely unless there's undisclosed information.
Timestamp: [49:34 - 56:12]
The conversation shifts to Bradley Beal's decision to leave the Phoenix Suns for the Los Angeles Clippers. Shannon questions the impact of this move on Beal's performance:
Shannon Sharpe: "Bradley Beal is a walking bucket, bro. ... I don't see him as a player that's one-dimensional."
Ocho discusses the potential synergies and challenges Beal might face playing alongside stars like Kawhi Leonard and James Harden, debating whether this new arrangement will enhance or hinder his scoring abilities.
Timestamp: [40:22 - 43:52]
Beyond the heavy topics, Shannon shares a humorous story about a fictional fight with Shaq outside a Krispy Kreme, highlighting the camaraderie and playful nature of their relationship:
Shannon Sharpe: "We got into a fight by Krispy Kreme Donuts... technically I beat Shaq ass."
This segment adds a personal touch to the episode, showcasing the hosts' chemistry and ability to balance serious discussions with entertaining stories.
Timestamp: [67:46 - End]
As the episode winds down, Shannon and Ocho engage in playful banter about potential wrestling matches and discuss their mutual admiration for various sports figures. They wrap up the conversation by highlighting the importance of maintaining positivity and supporting one another both on and off the field.
