Marco Summers
Yeah, you know how to go Overlooking.
Craig Melvin
I mean, that little. Is that the hustle behind you?
Marco Summers
Nah, it's. I don't know what it is. It's 20, 000amonth, though.
Craig Melvin
Oh, Lord.
Marco Summers
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Hey, hold on, hold on.
Marco Summers
I'm in New York. I'm in my condo. I'm in New York.
Chad Johnson
Oh, okay. How much you said it is a month?
Marco Summers
20, 000. I mean, we just. It comes with our furniture and stuff.
Craig Melvin
That's a backdrop. That's probably green screen.
Marco Summers
No, it ain't. No, it ain't no green screen.
Chad Johnson
Can I ask you a question?
Craig Melvin
Hey, get up and walk back to. Get up there. Walk back.
Marco Summers
I don't walk around in my apartment like that.
Craig Melvin
Okay, that's what I thought. It's green.
Marco Summers
Yeah. I don't wanna. Somebody break in my house you gonna like. You feel me? I just.
Craig Melvin
How'd you be somebody gonna break in your house if you paying $20,000 a month for a place in New York? That guy, they got guards because I.
Marco Summers
Got two of them. So it's 10,000amonth. So I'm just say 20. I'll just sum it up.
Craig Melvin
What you mean you got two people. Okay.
Marco Summers
No, my mama live next door. What's funny? Hey. Yeah. Hey. Hey.
Chad Johnson
Hey. What up? Can I. Where that hundred dollars at? You over.
Marco Summers
What's up? What's up?
Craig Melvin
What's up?
Marco Summers
Hey, hold on, man.
Chad Johnson
With that hundred, why you call him uncle?
Marco Summers
Y'all the same age. Why are you just saying why? You ain't never asked him that. Why you call him Uncle? Like make him feel.
Chad Johnson
Hey, why you. Why you ignoring me? Where's the hundred dollars you owe me? Marco, I don't want to. I don't. Listen, I don't want to have to put no hands on you, boy.
Marco Summers
Man, all I gotta do is call Harrison. Don't let me get Harrison on. You know what I'm talking about? Was that any Harrison? What's name?
Craig Melvin
James Harrison?
Marco Summers
Yeah. Who's about to. And you just sit there and let him watch you and do nothing. You were smiling the whole time. You and. Yeah, you knew. You.
Craig Melvin
I'm the promoter.
Marco Summers
No, but I'm saying you did. You. You seen, he was scared. And you just watched it go back and forth.
Craig Melvin
No, Ultra ain't scared.
Chad Johnson
You see? You see who was?
Marco Summers
Oh, you see how you guys scared of him? He a big dude scared.
Chad Johnson
I don't care about nobody being big, man. Listen, you'll see. You hold on. Stay with me real quick. You'll see. When we fight, super bowl week, we'll See, who's scared?
Marco Summers
I know you ain't be scared to get beat up.
Chad Johnson
Who get beat up? No, you scared to lose.
Marco Summers
I mean, I wouldn't fight him. Why? I protect myself. You see, I'm gonna. You see, where I live, I live in good environments. I work hard for myself.
Chad Johnson
Too. But you can't just let. You can't just let people. Because they big. You're not supposed to be.
Craig Melvin
What you gonna say? You scared as hell?
Marco Summers
No, I was just not saying, you know, I don't do that cussing. It's cool.
Craig Melvin
Man. Mark, let me ask you this. Were you. Were you funny growing up, or did you stumble into comedy? Were you a class clown or did you prank people? How did you. How did you stumble? How did you come into this role that you are now?
Marco Summers
Well, in school. Well, I'm dyslexic, so.
Chad Johnson
Wait, you what? You what?
Marco Summers
Dyslexic? I'm a struggle.
Craig Melvin
You got away with words like ocho.
Marco Summers
What's funny?
Chad Johnson
Hey, you can spell it.
Marco Summers
I'm not really.
Craig Melvin
Okay, so you was dyslexic. And then what happened?
Chad Johnson
My bad.
Marco Summers
I was just struggling in school and just, you know, once. Once people pick on you for not being able to read a spell. You got to find your way to get out of it. So I used to just try to find a humor, you know, here. I ever heard of popcorn reading? Popcorn reading is where you, like, read and somebody pick you to read. So, like, they used to give me the read. So, like, a lot of people used to pick on me and pick.
Craig Melvin
So did you. Did you. Great. Did you get a diploma? Did you get a certificate participation award? So what happened?
Marco Summers
Yeah, it was what it was. Five students in the classroom and a dog. Two teachers, Ms. Collins? Well, we were. We on here to speak our truth for what?
Craig Melvin
Yeah, for sure.
Marco Summers
I know.
Chad Johnson
Go ahead. My bad, My bad.
Marco Summers
I'm just saying, what school. Did you. Did y'all all graduate? Did y'all all go to, like, school? How many people was in your classroom?
Chad Johnson
Yeah, I mean, I was. I was in a full class.
Marco Summers
What's a full class?
Chad Johnson
42. 42 students, dude.
Craig Melvin
But. But I changed. I changed classes.
Marco Summers
Focus on you with 42 students.
Chad Johnson
I mean, it's a professor. That's what happened.
Marco Summers
We have four students in our classroom because we can get, like, the teachers focus on the. The main people.
Craig Melvin
Did you stay in that same classroom the whole day, or did you change classes at any point in time during.
Marco Summers
The day, I stayed in the same classroom. We had two teachers. So they. They wrote.
Craig Melvin
Interesting.
Marco Summers
Why you say that?
Craig Melvin
Well, I mean, normally. I mean most. Most.
Marco Summers
When you say normally, what do you mean by that?
Craig Melvin
Because I like, normally most students, they change classes unless, you know, there are some deficiencies.
Marco Summers
What does that mean? I don't know what that word mean.
Craig Melvin
That means that, you know, you're deficient in certain things and they don't want you to get lost between changing class, so they just keep. They just keep. You. Let me ask you a question. Did the teacher meet you Would let the school bus pull up, did the teacher meet you there and walk you to class and then walk you back to the school bus, or did you.
Marco Summers
I was the only one that rode my bus.
Craig Melvin
Oh.
Marco Summers
I stayed in club. Huh? I was. I stayed in Cloverleaf Apartments in Kansas City. So I was on. And that's because I lived in a project. So I. I was. I got selected to go to that school. That's what my mama told me. I was selected.
Craig Melvin
How many recesses and how many lunches did you have in a day?
Marco Summers
We had one, and then we had dog walk. Dog walkers. Where you get to walk the dog.
Craig Melvin
Oh, okay. So what was. No, at home. Not in. Not in school.
Marco Summers
Oh.
Craig Melvin
What was your favorite subject? Lunch. Nap time. I mean.
Marco Summers
I mean, you know, school was just, you know, it was fine. I graduated.
Craig Melvin
You did?
Marco Summers
Yeah.
Craig Melvin
With a diploma or certificate?
Marco Summers
It was both. It was. It was in a plastic. It was a plastic. It was. What's that called? Lemonade. It was lemonade.
Craig Melvin
Oh. But, you know, you have to have it laminated. They don't hand it to you laminated?
Marco Summers
No, they hand it laminated with us. And you open it up and they say, congratulations, Marco Summers. You have completed high school diploma.
Chad Johnson
Oh, that's the. Oh, you ain't. You ain't go to college.
Marco Summers
I know I ain't go no college. You know, college ain't for everybody, right?
Chad Johnson
You know, I know y'all only went.
Marco Summers
To college because y'all was good at sports. Everybody on here. Let's be real. Everybody on here ain't that smart.
Chad Johnson
Well, hold on.
Marco Summers
Wait. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Craig Melvin
That. That's.
Chad Johnson
That's a fact.
Marco Summers
Listen, I can read that one thing especially. I got. I could read a Harry Potter book in a day. So that's one thing that I am good at.
Chad Johnson
A Harry Potter day.
Marco Summers
So that's one thing a lot of people. I can't. I am good at reading.
Craig Melvin
Oh, okay.
Chad Johnson
Okay. I. I have a question. How did you go from trolling in Walmart to interviewing rappers and Celebrities on couches like that, that's. That's tremendous for someone that didn't go to college, for someone that did.
Marco Summers
Okay, okay, okay. You ain't gonna add all that, like. I know.
Chad Johnson
Okay, my bad, my bad. Okay. I'm just. How did you go from.
Marco Summers
I mean, I believe. Because at Covid time, it was like the city was shut down. So I was out and I got, you know, I was interviewing people on the streets, like, you know, right. And I was like, always paid them for their advice, like, how did they feel about COVID So I was the only one working during COVID like Tom still doing, you know, so that was one big thing. So. And then, you know, with me being able to talk to, like people out on the streets, it was just like opening the door that I was good at communication, so. And then, you know, just getting a chance to talking to a few underground rappers, and then it start going up and up, you know, and there you go. See, I like that.
Chad Johnson
I like that you just said that.
Marco Summers
$20,000 a month. This condo I worked hard for.
Chad Johnson
At what moment, at what moment or what celebrity was your breakthrough? Where it was like, you know, what. What I have going on and what I'm doing right now just might be bigger than just Internet. Funny where it's. Where it's taken off to the point where you can afford a twenty thousand dollar a month condo.
Marco Summers
Yeah, the one I'm in right now, right?
Craig Melvin
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Marco Summers
All right, well, talking and getting to sit down with Nicki Minaj, that kind of like open.
Chad Johnson
Oh, that took that.
Marco Summers
That was a little scared, you know, like, see a good part. I was just scared, you know, talking to her. But hold up.
Craig Melvin
Nicki Minaj sat down with you and she won't sit down with me?
Marco Summers
Shannon, you know how you are. It's kind of hard sitting down with you. You know how you are when you sit down? Because you. How am I, Shannon? You. You warm people up and then you just like, you, You. You hit them with it, like. And then you act like, oh, I already know it. So, like, one thing I don't. No, but you really good at manipulating the situation, which you're great at what you do, right. Because everybody love you for it. Everybody watch your interviews. But you're really good at willing somebody in. You could be a detective on the show.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Marco Summers
If 50 Cent is watching this, he need to put you on power as a cop. It.
Chad Johnson
Like that. I like that. Hey, listen, bro, your interviews like that.
Marco Summers
Real good that you got on. What's that you wearing. Is it real?
Chad Johnson
Yeah, it's real.
Marco Summers
I'm saying, let me see the tag. I know where you got that from.
Chad Johnson
No, no. Yeah. Louis Vuitton and balhop.
Marco Summers
But you say money, though. It ain't. It ain't. It's not, because you cheap.
Chad Johnson
Listen, you. I don't. I don't think you understand. It's 2025, and I'm in a season of Ocho this year. I'm spinning all year long.
Marco Summers
Okay, well, why you ain't paying? On kids, on your own.
Craig Melvin
Yeah.
Marco Summers
You owe him $5,000. Why you ain't pay him?
Chad Johnson
But you owe me a hundred. Let me get my hunt.
Marco Summers
That's a little money.
Chad Johnson
It ain't little money. It's the principle.
Marco Summers
Like I said, you need to go. $100 is $100. Get your money. So that's. That's what we need to talk about.
Chad Johnson
Okay? How about we do this when you pay me my hundred, I pay uncle's money.
Marco Summers
You put me in the midst of that fire.
Craig Melvin
Yeah, I mean, I don't think that really has anything to do with it. Ocho, one should not have anything to do with the other.
Chad Johnson
Listen, the fact that I didn't even know he was coming on here, but he owed me money, and I ain't seen him since I let him.
Marco Summers
You know what? I've never seen a bald headed homeless person. Y'all do really good for y'all community. No, I'm just saying. No, I said I never seen like, all ball head men do really good. We can't.
Craig Melvin
Yeah.
Marco Summers
Shannon, have you ever seen a ball head dude bad, like, going back.
Craig Melvin
Oh, okay.
Chad Johnson
I see what you mean.
Marco Summers
Michael Jordan, everybody that's bald headed or is always like, they good.
Craig Melvin
Yeah, Steve Harvey.
Chad Johnson
Okay. Yeah, you're right. Okay.
Marco Summers
I'm just saying, everybody that's bald headed, they ain't got to worry about. They. They stressed out their head ways, brothers.
Craig Melvin
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, you're right. Hey, are you.
Marco Summers
You married? No. You know, I want to get married, but I see, like, it just seemed like it's a lot of papers to read and stuff. I'm not really a reading type of dude, but.
Craig Melvin
But, but hello. Did you just have. Didn't you just have a little one?
Marco Summers
Yeah, I did. Yeah. But me, that was, you know. You know how that goes. You know.
Craig Melvin
No, tell me.
Chad Johnson
Wait, you had a baby.
Marco Summers
You know how that go. Why are we talking about.
Chad Johnson
You're not. You're not a virgin?
Marco Summers
I ain't a virgin.
Chad Johnson
Why they.
Marco Summers
Why they say I'm gonna see it. Cause I don't be speaking on, you know, okay.
Chad Johnson
I mean, probably I need to go.
Marco Summers
Live so they know I'll be doing my thing, you know.
Craig Melvin
There you go. There you go. Marco, that was uncalled for. That was. That was a low blow, bro.
Marco Summers
Well, I'm just saying. No, it ain't nothing to do with you. I'm talking to him. I mean, if the shoe fit nowhere.

Hey. Hey.
Marco Summers
Congratulations though.
Chad Johnson
You got little girl, little boys.
Marco Summers
I'm both.
Chad Johnson
Oh, you got nice.
Marco Summers
You know I just genders. You can't just let. I'm let her decide or him. Whatever. I'm let them decide.
Chad Johnson
Okay.
Craig Melvin
Hey, I want to interview Bobby. Can you make that happen?
Marco Summers
I definitely can, but don't start. No. You feel me? Please.
Craig Melvin
Why am I gonna start?
Marco Summers
I'm saying, you know what you do. Look at your shirt. The joker like you. You know who you are. You wear your. Like, oh, it's all in your face.
Chad Johnson
Like, hey, who is Bobby?
Marco Summers
Bobby Otoff?
Craig Melvin
Yes.
Chad Johnson
Oh, ain't you. Ain't you and Bobby.
Marco Summers
No, don't do that. I'm just saying the chemistry y'all had together. That's a friend. She a friend of mine. But I feel like I saw that.
Chad Johnson
I saw the chemistry. I know what friend mean? What kind of friend?
Marco Summers
Look who's talking. Because are you in a relationship or not? Yes. Me.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. My girl right here.
Marco Summers
Okay, we'll respect.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, yeah.
Marco Summers
Okay. I didn't know.
Craig Melvin
I'm trying to figure out what you getting at talking about. I'm like a detective. Say I ask a question and I'll be surprised. I don't. I don't know what they're gonna say. You be like when you, when you interview people, are you not surprised at some of the answers that they say?
Marco Summers
But. But the clickbait. What I feel like people. You're really good at throwing somebody miss into it. Like you would just add some about somebody that has nothing to do with you. Like, you know what I'm saying? Just promise that you'd be like I was about to say something but it's gonna. Somebody can clip it and it's gonna sound.
Craig Melvin
I mean, if I'm asking, let's just say for the sake of argument, let's just say I'm sitting down and I'm talking to Michael Jordan.
Marco Summers
Okay, listen, can I give you example? All right, let's throw Fat Joe in there. This hypothetically hypothetic. Hypothetically speaking, right?
Craig Melvin
Yes.
Marco Summers
We're using Fat Joe, which is. This is off. Not real. You, like when you sitting down talking to Lil Kim, you'd be like, so what do you think about Fat Joe herpes? Do you feel like he should do something about it? And then Fat Joe caught a stray. You giving people strays? And. And then it'll get clipped. Fat Joe's herpes get talked about. And then Fat Joe's like, what's going on? Why am I getting tagged in it?
Craig Melvin
No, I asked. I said, hey, look him. What is Fat Joe like? What was it like to be in the studio with Fat Joe? What was it like to be around Puffy or. Or Biggie, rest his soul.
Marco Summers
That's one. No, you don't do that. You have a specific topic which you were good with. That's why you have a very successful podcast because you know how to clip people. Because you talk about Fat Joe Herpes. Can you say Fat Joe Herpes real quick?
Craig Melvin
No, Fat Joe was good. Fat Joe was good. Fat Joe was unbelievable. No, but I mean, he talked. Yeah, I asked Fat Joe questions. He answered the question. He talked about his. His son, his special needs son.
Marco Summers
Yeah, but I'm just saying. No, we're just doing that. No, we're not talking about on that interview. I just threw a name up there, right?
Craig Melvin
No, but I'm saying. But see that, that last part that you said was gonna get clicks, that Shadow Sharp said this about Fat Joe.
Marco Summers
Says what about Fat Joe?
Craig Melvin
That you said what you said about Fat Joe.
Marco Summers
I don't know what I said.
Craig Melvin
Can you people try to get. What people say is that I ask a question? Yes, I asked the questions, but I don't know the answers to the questions. That's why I'm asking. I ask questions that I think that people, if my fans that are watching or listening, if they were in those shoes, they would ask those very questions.
Marco Summers
No, no. Chad, do you agree?
Chad Johnson
I mean, I. I kind of. I kind of agree. The point of having certain interviews or to ask the questions that people want to know the answers to. And probably if they went un shoes, those are the questions that they would ask, knowing that that's what the people.
Marco Summers
They're not bad questions. They're good questions because they're very successful. But some people feel like they caught a stray. So, for instance, if somebody's trying to get out of that situation, you'll bring it back up like, damn, that's what it is. So that's where some people, like, damn, he brought it back up. So that's where things can get, like, tricky.
Craig Melvin
So what about you break? What about you sharing DMs? You bringing that up. Somebody caught them straight. Somebody text you something in confidentiality, and you showing that. What about that?
Chad Johnson
What'd that say? Who is that?
Marco Summers
What? That dm? I'm reading the chat. It says, why is Marco the sexiest person on this live? Thank you.
Chad Johnson
No, no, no. That's not what that DM say.
Marco Summers
Marco so good looking. Thank y'all. I'm reading the comments. Marco is so beautiful.
Chad Johnson
Hey, chat.
Marco Summers
I'm asking a question, though. If. If, honestly, if we all went out publicly and we was all single, do y'all feel like we take the money and fame away? Who look better on here? Let's be real.
Chad Johnson
I mean, like, honestly, like, for real. Scale of 1 to 10, scale of 1 to 10, what you rate yourself? Scale of 1 to 10?
Marco Summers
I'm gonna get my 9.8.
Chad Johnson
You're 9.8? On what scale?
Craig Melvin
A 20.
Marco Summers
No, 1 through 10, right?
Craig Melvin
Oh, no, Marco.
Chad Johnson
Oh, no, I was talking about a scale.
Marco Summers
I got big muscles. Like, let's take away the muscles.
Craig Melvin
Well, damn. All right, well, you will put me on Olympic.
Chad Johnson
I mean, hey, no, I'm Marco. Scale of 1 to 10, what you rate yourself?
Marco Summers
I mean, honestly. Okay, all right. 7.5.
Chad Johnson
7.5. I mean, before, with a haircut.
Marco Summers
I mean, you know, who's asking You?
Chad Johnson
Listen, I mean, like, life is all about confidence.
Marco Summers
I'm just saying, you're not my type. Let's get that out the way.
Chad Johnson
What you trying to say?
Marco Summers
I just would. You're not my type.
Craig Melvin
But here's the thing. If we all went out, everybody knows who each of us are.
Marco Summers
But let's say, let's take away the fame. Let's take it away.
Craig Melvin
Like, hold on, hold on. Let me get this right. We go take away the fame, and we're going to walk down the street as is. I'm as muscular as I am now. My personality is the same. The only thing you take away is the fame.
Marco Summers
But your people skills are not good.
Craig Melvin
Man, please. You just said I get people to open up.
Marco Summers
Okay, you do, but it's because people are scared of you. You are aggressive. Look at that. You see you talking to her? You are aggressive. Like, I will be scared. Like, see that? The only thing that saves you. You have a beautiful smile. Let's talk about it. But if you have that, you are aggressive like, damn.
Craig Melvin
What else you want to think about? You would cut my head off too.
Marco Summers
No, it ain't that. Like, you know, and Chad. Okay, Chad. Bald headed. Some women like bald headed people, you.
Chad Johnson
Know, all, all women. All women. All women. And listen, my personality wins.
Marco Summers
But you just look like you know how to tell women what they want to hear. So people are going to bring in as a cat person again, you just have, you know how to work your, you know how to talk, you know how to communicate.
Craig Melvin
Yeah, well, you got a kid, so you know how to do something.
Marco Summers
I mean. Yeah, but again, I just know how to dm.
Craig Melvin
And you, and you be posting it, people be catching straight they talking to you in confidentiality. You posting a dm.
Chad Johnson
Who was the dm? I still don't know. Who is it?
Marco Summers
We're gonna talk about it. No, we're gonna talk about Usher.
Chad Johnson
All right, okay. Hey, you know what? I wanted to ask you something too. You've had offset G herbo boosie. I mean, stars like Lala on, on.
Marco Summers
The couch shout out to lala, hey.
Chad Johnson
Who'S your dream interview that you've yet to do?
Marco Summers
I say, and I think, okay, I think Chris Tucker will be dope. Dave Chappelle. Oh, okay, you got Chris Tucker.
Craig Melvin
I have. He's one of my first ones, but I knew Tuck.
Marco Summers
So what about Dave Chappelle? Why you ain't got Dave Chappelle yet? Because he don't want to catch a straight.
Craig Melvin
Nah, I'm gonna get, I'm, I'm gonna have him on the show eventually I will.
Chad Johnson
That's a good one.
Craig Melvin
I gotta, I gotta listen, I got a list of people. I got like five people that I think in 20, 25.
Marco Summers
Let me ask you a question. If you could interview Michael Jackson, what was something that you could ask him right now, like live? What would you ask Michael Jackson?
Craig Melvin
What would I ask Michael?
Chad Johnson
That's a good, that's a good one there, boy.
Craig Melvin
Probably. Why wasn't Thriller enough?
Marco Summers
Break that down.
Craig Melvin
Because he drove himself crazy trying to replicate Thriller. Because Thriller, you have to understand that was Haley's Comet. Most people only see one Haley's Comet. He had thriller 100, you know, at the time, 35 million hard copies sold. But everything that came after that, even though it was doing diamond, which is 10, how many artists now, you know, the music industry, how many artists now would kill to have a diamond? A diamond album, Hard copies had it bad, was a diamond dangerous? But it wasn't Thriller. And so he made himself. You know, it's like a. It's like a pitcher throwing a perfect game. And then he's like, he has one hitter, that. He has two hitters. He has the era, but he's like, it's not a perfect game. He's still. Mike. Just because he didn't replicate Thriller again, did anybody think less of him?
Marco Summers
Right?
Craig Melvin
I mean, Prince. Do you think less of Prince?
Marco Summers
Because can we compare this to football? As in like, let's say. Let's take this in football terms. Like getting. Yes. Ring. Like, let's say Patrick Mahomes is Michael Jackson. He wants more.
Craig Melvin
Yes. But here's the thing. No, you have to take it. You have to take it as an individual. So let's just say for the sake of argument, he goes to the super bowl, he wins, and he throws for 300 yards. Now the next two subo, he throws for 150. And he's like, oh, my gosh.
Marco Summers
Right?
Craig Melvin
Those are great performances. They was in the biggest stage. So I'm. Look, I. I knew. I mean, off the Wall, I think, you know, as far as, like, musically, me personally, I like off the Wall better than not commercially. Thriller is the biggest album commercially. But you go back and look at Michael's off the Wall, right? It's a masterpiece. But that's not what he thought.
Marco Summers
So another thing, I feel like you the only person that can get 50 cent ja rule to sit down. Could you make that happen? And. No, I'm just. I really feel like you can sit them two down and also Bow Wow and Little Romeo, because people feel like it was beef between them too. If you can get them two to sit down, that would be huge.
Craig Melvin
I. I don't. I don't think there's beef between. I think the thing is, look, there's the natural comparison. They were young teenage guys, but we.
Marco Summers
Need to hear them talk. But that's the thing, because you get them two down and talk to them to get the history behind that.
Craig Melvin
I could try. I'm working. I'm working on another beef that I'm trying to. Trying to patch up.
Marco Summers
Who is that?
Craig Melvin
I ain't telling.
Chad Johnson
Hey, Marco, if you had the opportunity to host something like snl, would you do it?
Marco Summers
Oh, you got to read a teleprompter. And reading is not my fundamental. And that's, you know, don't say, don't do that. Don't do that.
Chad Johnson
I ain't do nothing you can't read.
Marco Summers
I told you I could read the Harry Potter book in a day. So it's just. I read what I want to read. You feel me? What I'm into.
Chad Johnson
So you can't read a teleprompter.
Marco Summers
They just gotta slow it down.
Chad Johnson
How slow we talking?
Marco Summers
Me? Just as in skill and in school.
Chad Johnson
No, I mean, how slow does the teleprompter need to do for you to be able to be on SNL?
Marco Summers
Probably about like 3.5. I just made that up.
Craig Melvin
Yeah, because Normally it's like 28, 30, 33, something like that.
Marco Summers
Yeah. Will you feel like. Do you feel like you'll be able to host. Would you take the BET Awards if they told you to host it?
Craig Melvin
Maybe.
Chad Johnson
What you mean, maybe that.
Craig Melvin
But see, a lot of times, Ocho, I look at stuff. I look at stuff as lifelong goals for me. That's never being a host of. Of something like that. Snl, bet. That ain't never been.
Marco Summers
No, no, no. We're talking about bt. BT said we want you to host these. The Hip Hop Awards.
Chad Johnson
Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on, hold on. Me, Unc and Ocho, the host?
Marco Summers
Oh, no, no, I'm not. No, not you. If they ask you. If they ask you to hold the BET Awards, Hip Hop Awards, do you feel like that's something that you do or it's kind of like some jobs ain't for everybody.
Craig Melvin
Yeah, but I'm not. I'm not like hip hop, though.
Marco Summers
That's what I'm saying. So you feel like you have to be, like, understand everything, you know? Yeah, right.
Chad Johnson
That's why. That's why we would do it together. It would be perfect.
Marco Summers
But you're not hip hop either. Like, you wouldn't consider, like, as an NFL hip hop player. Let's talk about it. You more of a pop.
Chad Johnson
You weren't even born.
Marco Summers
You. You're not a hip hop type of person. You don't. Like. You're not hip hop. Don't nobody think of hip hop. And think of Chad. Like, oh, Chad, you're not hip hop, right?
Chad Johnson
Hold on, hold on. When you think of me as a football player, what do you think?
Marco Summers
You know, I'm saying, like, salsa dancing. Like, I could see you just more relaxed. Like, you want to be Scarface. Smoke the cigar. Like, more calm. Like you're comfortable. Like you. Like you're not. You're not with. You know what I'm saying?
Chad Johnson
Listen, when I. When I think of. When I think of hip hop, right? When I think of our culture, like, I was. I was Future before Future that makes sense.
Craig Melvin
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Now I'm just old. I'm just older now.
Marco Summers
Let's say this. Okay. All right. When you think of hip hop, name three artists. Hip hop. That's. Overall. That's part of hip hop.
Craig Melvin
Go at it like Drake Hendrick.
Marco Summers
No, no, no, no. We talking about your time. Wasn't really.
Chad Johnson
Were you.
Marco Summers
What?
Craig Melvin
Oh, my.
Marco Summers
Are you 72? 72, right?
Craig Melvin
68.
Marco Summers
Okay.
Craig Melvin
You know, I came. I came up in. I came up in the era. I came up Rock Him, KRS1, LL Cool J, Big Daddy Kane. I came up in that era.
Marco Summers
Exactly. Okay, so, Chad, name Hip Hop 3 artists. When you say hip hop. See, that's what I'm saying. It's not just not in you.
Chad Johnson
I'm saying my time, right?
Marco Summers
You knew what I asked you. Why'd you, like, you know, you're not hip hop.
Chad Johnson
What time.
Marco Summers
I'm saying, what introduced you as a kid going through middle school? What is hip hop to you? Who is, like, introduce you to hip hop? See, that's what I'm saying, man. Let me finish.
Chad Johnson
Brick Daddy. I'm obviously. I'm from Miami. Trick Daddy, Trina and Ross.
Marco Summers
You just said, Mike, do you see, Unc, how you went? You went through it like he went through. He went from New York. He hit Tupac. You just.
Chad Johnson
Hey, you just said in. When I was in middle school.
Marco Summers
I just told you when I was in that. I get it. You talking about where you're from. Like, hip hop is worldwide wide. Again, it. Like, he said, he went kr.
Chad Johnson
So in middle school. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. When you was in middle school, you were listening to hip hop worldwide.
Marco Summers
I was listening to worldwide. Snoop Dogg. Let's say Snoop Dogg introduced. Like, I grew up on him, right?
Craig Melvin
Yeah.
Marco Summers
Y'all know Pat? Pat.
Craig Melvin
Yeah. Well, like, actually, it's a Sugar hill gang in 1979, and that really kind of jumped it off. And then you had me, you know, Grandmaster Flashing, Nefarious five. You had KR as one. You had Rock him, you had. And then you had the nwa, you had the. The Public Enemies. You had the LL Cool J Made it Cool. LL Cool J was a cool rapper. He could talk about getting the ladies and seducing the ladies, and he wasn't always talking about smashing and smoking, drinking, smoking, smoking weed and drinking Lean. LL made it cool. LL was a cool rapper. He made it fun, right? So, yeah. But let me tell you what the ESPYs. Oh, Shannon. Okay. If ESPN asked, reached out and asked you about now, now, you're talking about something Unc can get his teeth into.
Chad Johnson
Hold on now. Now when you talk about them calling you now, you're going to suggest I do it with you, or you gonna do it by yourself?
Craig Melvin
Oh, sure. I would just say I was just playing.
Marco Summers
No, no, but you said. Are you gonna do it by yourself or with him? Be like, the world is watching. What are you gonna do?
Chad Johnson
Yeah, what you gonna do?
Craig Melvin
I'm not. Look, that. That. Guys. See, those things interest you, Ocho. Those don't interest me.
Marco Summers
No. Like, listen, are you gonna answer a.
Chad Johnson
Question he just said to ask me?
Marco Summers
We.
Chad Johnson
We spe.
Craig Melvin
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Craig Melvin
That's not me. I really only do things that I'm passionate about, Marco. If anybody. Anybody that knows Shannon. That's why I'm normally successful at the things that I do, because I'm really passionate about doing it. And if I'm not passionate about, I don't do it. I don't have a whole lot of hobbies because there's not a whole lot of things I'm passionate about.
Marco Summers
Can you get Eminem on your podcast? Can you talk to him? Like, that would be big.
Craig Melvin
A lot of people I could talk to would be big.
Marco Summers
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Hey, Marco. Hey. Why don't you interview me?
Craig Melvin
You heard what he said.
Marco Summers
I don't know. Art is me. I don't know who me is. I never heard of that artist.
Chad Johnson
Can you interview Chad Johnson?
Marco Summers
I mean, what is it, you know? Like, you a cool dude, but you're not. I don't. Yeah. You're not my type. I don't want to. You know what I'm saying? I don't want to sit down and talk to you. Said we good. Like, you're a great person.
Chad Johnson
You don't think. You don't think that.
Marco Summers
It ain't about funny. It's just about.
Chad Johnson
It's just funny.
Marco Summers
It's not about fun, man.
Craig Melvin
Get me Bobby. You doing all this talking. Tell Bobby I want to sit down with Bobby.
Marco Summers
Let me call Bobby right now. While we live. Hold on.
Chad Johnson
Hey.
Craig Melvin
Hey.
Chad Johnson
Why you call her? You know what this is?
Craig Melvin
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
You know what that is?
Marco Summers
Oh, that's that thing that be on Tick Tock. The Tick Tock shop.
Chad Johnson
Nah. Yeah. You ever took one of these?
Marco Summers
I really don't need that. I ain't that old.
Craig Melvin
She don't even answer your call.
Marco Summers
Oh, yeah, you know, Shit be happening.

Craig Melvin

Hey, but I'm saying, why don't you get with somebody your age and you don't need to pop them.
Craig Melvin
Whoa, whoa. What we gonna do? Go to the doctor visit together? Hell, I want somebody my age for right?
Chad Johnson
People gonna be great, right, Marco? And you just take them like this, right, and put them on your tongue.
Marco Summers
Why are you doing that with all of us on here, though?
Craig Melvin
Why you popping my guess he might got something in the wings. Marco, damn. Let that man live.
Chad Johnson
I'm popping it. I'm popping.
Marco Summers
If it's a party full of dudes in la, you pop it like this. Like it's this number guys in here like, no, you ain't got to do that right now.
Craig Melvin
Hey, over there. I'm going upstairs to go in the bed. I don't know what Ocho got going. I ain't got nothing to do with me.
Chad Johnson
I'm at home.
Marco Summers
But I'm saying, all right, I'm at home, but you ain't got to be. Yeah, like, I don't even.
Craig Melvin
Hey, hey, Tell us about. Tell us about your facial journey. You. You've been posting that on Tick Tock. You've been telling about your journey.
Marco Summers
Oh, yeah. It's just when you. Well, I feel like being in the industry, sometimes when you accept yourself, sometimes people find things to pull away from you, and that's what brings out insecurity of people. But once you know you're dealing with something, you gotta. And you know it's a problem, you can work on it yourself. But sometimes I feel like when you get in here, people pick on you and call it out, and it can make people, like, feel insecure and they don't know what to do. But once you accept it and you be okay with it, like, I know this is what I'm dealing with, just. It becomes a journey. But sometimes people hide it because people pick on you about it. So that's one thing that don't nobody ever, you know, tell you how to do it. Because nobody knows that you're gonna be who you are. Like, we don't just pick like, you didn't know. You'll be like. Like to probably the 5th, 58th best tight end in the world. You don't know that, but whatever.
Craig Melvin
But here's the thing. Let me ask you a question. So when you was growing up, obviously kids can be very, very cruel. They made fun of your skin, right.
Marco Summers
But.
Craig Melvin
And so at this age now, you finally decided, okay, you got some money, you can go get it treated. So did they tell you that they're going to be able to treat it and you'll be able to smooth your skin out and you won't know that you had this. I think it's what you have. Acne.
Marco Summers
It's like, yeah, acne, asthma. So it's all that, you know. Yeah, because my, you know, my mama was burnt and she had me, so I came out of that. So that's where the acne came from.
Craig Melvin
That ain't got nothing to do with it. That's not a genetic trait.
Marco Summers
Okay, well, I don't know. That's what my brother told me. But okay. So more importantly, what I was trying to say is just something become a journey when you don't hide it. And I feel like being an entertainer, some people, you can use makeup all the time and you can use filters, but, you know, you just got to be true to yourself and also show people because people can look up to you and the same route. So sometimes never hide your journey. That's what I learned. Just let it be that, you know.
Craig Melvin
So let me ask you a question. So how many. How many treatments did they tell you that it's going to take? Or is it going to be an ongoing process?
Marco Summers
It's ongoing thing. It's gonna. It's gonna be a while. But you know, and also eating, I didn't know, like growing up on food stamps and stuff, we got a lot of snacks and my mama never really took us to the doctors. All we did was just eat snacks all day. But some people don't know their child. Everybody can't eat the same. So the stuff I was eating.
Craig Melvin
Correct.
Marco Summers
Making me weak.
Craig Melvin
You're making it worse.
Marco Summers
Yeah, yeah. So again, we just from the hood and when you from that, sometimes you got to learn a lot of stuff. I was on a podcast and I recently said, like a woman showed me how to love myself more. Because when you grow up without a daddy and your mom is just like working all the time, nobody there to show you that. So with that being said, I said, a woman showed me how to, like, properly take a shower. And people like, oh, you don't want to take a shower? I'm like, no, it's not that. But nobody was never there. My mama, just watch your ass and get out. And my daddy wasn't there. But when you get with somebody, they show you properly how to do it this way, they start to show you to a man. That's why I said, women are the best thing that you can introduce to your life, or whatever your partner is, whatever you love. You know, I'm saying, wherever they come from, they can show you a new step. So that's why it's always good to date somebody that's, you know, on another level that can improve you. Not just with money, not just with what they got, but what they can bring to you.
Chad Johnson
But teach you how to take a shot.
Marco Summers
Don't say, now we're gonna get clear. I'm gonna say, you didn't have to say that again.
Craig Melvin
So before you became funny, Marco, you was dirty. Marco.
Marco Summers
I mean, I necessarily dirty. It was just like, you know, I was just.
Craig Melvin
I was wonky, Marco.
Marco Summers
No, I was just rough. Like Shannon. Let's be real. You, who told you how to take a bath? Was your daddy and mama there?
Craig Melvin
No, my sister. She's eight years older than me.
Marco Summers
She don't know how to wash like a man. So you was funky, too? That's what. No, bro.
Craig Melvin
No, bro. Bro, look, I grew up. I grew up in a different situation. I didn't have a shower, so I grew up taking a bath in a tub. But, you know, she told me how to, you know, lathered up and right around here. And right around here. And go around your neck, getting all that up.
Marco Summers
But did you use two rags or one rag?
Craig Melvin
Back in the day, I only had one rag.
Marco Summers
That's not cool, bro.
Chad Johnson
So you. You use two rags?
Craig Melvin
We didn't. We barely.
Chad Johnson
Bro.
Craig Melvin
Bro. I was happy to have a tub to be able to take a shower when we had. We had to deal well water, so. Bro, slow down. I'm okay.
Chad Johnson
Hold on. Why you use two rag? What? The other one for your ass. Oh, so you. You use a different rag for. Okay, you don't do.
Marco Summers
That's what I'm saying. We gotta do that. So tonight, use two rags.
Craig Melvin
Yeah, we. I used to. I mean, I. Sometimes I use like a loop. I have one of those. Those little things, you know. Not a loofah.
Chad Johnson
A loofah.
Craig Melvin
What do they call them?
Chad Johnson
A loofah.
Craig Melvin
Yeah, the little sponge thing. That's a loofah. Yeah, I got one of those. I got one of those little, like, cloths that I use for my body, then I use that thing for my face.
Marco Summers
Well, can I ask you a question? What's the proper way? And it's like talking to men out there that's dealing with it. A proper way for a guy to leave a woman that's in love with him. Because I feel like guys don't know how to break up with women.
Craig Melvin
Yeah, it ain't no proper way.
Chad Johnson
The proper way to live.
Marco Summers
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
I mean, it's.
Marco Summers
No, it's not. When a woman love you, it's hard. It's different from a man to leave because that leave us in the quickness, right?
Craig Melvin
Yes. Well, it's always easy for the person that wants to break up because they're invested. See, if you. If somebody want. If you. If you're not ready to get. Ocho and I, we talk about this a lot. Funny, Mark, Marco, is that when somebody wants the relationship and somebody wants out, the person that doesn't want out is the one that hurts the most. Even though the person that wants out hurts a little, but it's not the same as that person that really don't want you to go. So it's hard. The more you invested in something, the harder it is to let it go.
Chad Johnson
Who are you trying to leave?
Marco Summers
No, it's not me. I just. I just want to speak for the man that's out there that's listening, you know, so. Oh, that. It was a chat. It was a chat question.
Craig Melvin
Okay, so you try to leave somebody.
Marco Summers
I don't know. You know? You know I got somebody left you. I know I got a relationship with. God, we are still in there. We doing good.
Craig Melvin
About to leave you.
Marco Summers
No.
Craig Melvin
You say you can't read.
Marco Summers
No, I'm. I'm decent. I read what I need to read. Thanks for. You know what? Take a little time.
Craig Melvin
So, hey, so. Have a woman ever made fun of your skin?
Marco Summers
Oh, yeah, I'll be. I mean, the worst comment I got as a kid, telling me it looked like somebody stepped on my face with cleats. That was a word. All right, how we exit. Hold on.
Craig Melvin
Well, women like to. Like the mass doctor. Pimple popper. They like to press mash. Blackheads.
Marco Summers
All right, but if me and you went one on one to get girls, guess who walking out with them.
Craig Melvin
Boy, stop it. Boy, stop. Don't do that. Who?
Chad Johnson
Who walking out with him.
Marco Summers
Like, you know what? I'm saying this personality skills and just what, like, nah, bro, not gonna bring money.
Craig Melvin
First of all, I'm past that stage. If you'd have caught me in my 20s. If you caught me in my 20s.
Marco Summers
Or early 30s, better. Between me and him, I'm great.
Craig Melvin
I'm a grandfather, bro. I'm a grandfather.
Marco Summers
It doesn't matter. I can get what I get. Who look better between me and him.
Craig Melvin
Really, dude?
Marco Summers
What, he the only one in here?
Craig Melvin
Oh, bro. Marco. I'm just. I'm just a granddad. I'm about to be 57, and you.
Marco Summers
Don'T look like it.
Craig Melvin
I know.
Marco Summers
I ain't check.
Craig Melvin
I ain't trying to get no girls now. I'm trying to find somebody.
Marco Summers
I'm just saying I have a great appearance. I have a nice sex appeal. And I'm letting you know in this room if. If it came.
Craig Melvin
Did you left. Did you leave it at home?
Marco Summers
I'm at home right now.
Craig Melvin
Oh, damn.
Marco Summers
I just told you I'm in New York, bro.
Craig Melvin
You not in New York. That's a green screen.
Marco Summers
It's not no green screen. What is going on with you? I work hard for this.
Craig Melvin
I get. All you gotta do is get up and walk. Get up.
Marco Summers
I'm not about to walk off on your show. I'm not doing that. I'm not rude.
Craig Melvin
Yes, bro. Do you understand that? Ocho and I being tv, and we understand how green screen work?
Marco Summers
Okay? What's green screen? It's night outside. What do y'all need to see? An airplane fly? Pass. What do y'all want to see? Man, I'm in the Grill. I'm at my house.
Craig Melvin
Exactly. You hit up with a green screen.
Marco Summers
No, I'm like. I'm at the green room. It is. I'm saying this is what I'm doing.
Craig Melvin
Hold on.
Chad Johnson
Hey, hey.
Marco Summers
Yes, I do.
Chad Johnson
And that's the Hudson river behind.
Marco Summers
I don't know what's back there.
Craig Melvin
But now, how the man got together.
Chad Johnson
What's the name of your building?
Marco Summers
I'm gonna. That's uncalled for. I don't have to speak on where I live because that's part of my safety protocols.
Chad Johnson
Well, it's pretty easy to tell based on the building.
Marco Summers
I know it's not, because it's not that pretty easy. These are $20,000 a month, partner. Okay, Anybody where you live? What's your apartment? Where's your address? Yeah, what's your address?
Chad Johnson
I mean, exactly.
Marco Summers
You see, you don't just give that out.
Craig Melvin
That got uncomfortable.
Marco Summers
Okay. Okay. Oh, yeah. This is a lot. That's why. Yeah, that's why. This is why people don't come on that damn show.
Craig Melvin
Yeah. Now tell us about that interview. About that interview. What happened?
Marco Summers
All right, so. All right, first off, let's say this while we talking. All right, you know what? All right, I was about to. You know, I gotta realize. What do you want to start?
Craig Melvin
I mean, how did it get? I mean, it wasn't.
Marco Summers
It wasn't. It was more of like they were on a level of trolling, and it was just matching it. Chicago got a nice way of trolling. So, you know, I'm saying with them, too, they was just enjoying theyself. And, you know, as a man, I could have just, you know, enjoyed it back. So it was just more of me trying to read the room. But as I'm reading it, the is real happening in real time. So they didn't mean nothing personal. They just really like trolling, you know what I'm saying? I just didn't match the troll. I wouldn't know my feet at the time.
Craig Melvin
Yeah.
Marco Summers
Weren't you scared because they. No, I was not. I wasn't scared because it wasn't like, you know what? Nothing Dark. You know what I'm saying? And like, you know, in my fighter, I'm 17 0, so besides that, in school, my school I went to.
Craig Melvin
But I ain't seen that water move yet. How you got still water behind you?
Marco Summers
What are you talking about?
Chad Johnson
I ain't seen no boat.
Craig Melvin
I ain't see the water move.
Marco Summers
Yeah, because it's night time.
Craig Melvin
Water move at night time, it just becomes. Oh, so boats don't. Can't go at night, huh?
Chad Johnson
Where the ferry at? I don't see no fair.
Craig Melvin
Ain't no plane. Ain't no bird flew by.
Marco Summers
I just moved in here. As y'all can see, it's not fake furnace or nothing. I just moved there. I just got a computer.
Craig Melvin
I ain't talking about department.
Chad Johnson
Wait, hold on, hold on, hold on. You told us. You told us it cost $20,000 a.
Craig Melvin
Month because it was fully furnished.
Marco Summers
I know, but I got to pick the furniture out.
Craig Melvin
No, if. If it's furnished, it already comes with furniture. You just move in.
Marco Summers
No, but I gotta pick the certain type of furniture.
Craig Melvin
No, you don't back the furnace department.
Marco Summers
If I get up, see, you see me Sc.
Craig Melvin
Yeah, I saw. Yeah, I see. Come on back. You come on back. Yeah. Welcome the volume.
