Tonight, he will not be able to join the Georgia Bulldogs. Down the Auburn Tigers 20 to 10. It looked to me oo that Auburn was getting ready to deal them a death blow. They were getting ready to go in, make it 17, nothing, because up until that point, it Georgia had done nothing. They might have had 10 yards of total offense, but they got rejuvenated, they scored. They same thing that happened Monday night, remember? Trevor Lawrence tried to go over the goal line. The guy knock it out of his hand, Georgia recover it, go down, get a field goal right before the half. And from that point on, they never look back. Auburn, for whatever reason, Arnold was not able to get on track because I thought he played well early. But once that play happened, it was it like all of a sudden he could not connect with his receiver. He was low, he was high, he was behind, he was in front of. And Georgia dominated. Georgia defense took this game over. Yeah, that's what that was. They, they took this game over and I, I, I couldn't, I wanted to get number 52's name. That's a bad player, that D lineman.
Chad Johnson
Hey, he the real deal.
Shannon Sharpe
But, but, but he gonna be playing on Sundays. Yeah.
Chad Johnson
When I look at a game like this, Unc, and it comes to to Auburn playing a team like Georgia, you got to put them away. You got to keep your goddamn foot on the pedal all the way. No conservative plays. And obviously from the quarterback position, you have to be almost perfect to win a game like this because you know, Georgia's built to be able to come from behind. They, they have the tools, they have the players, they have the coaching to be able to come from behind. And that's exactly what they were able to do tonight.
Shannon Sharpe
They did, they did. Look, like I said and Chad, I don't know how you guys feel. I know some, a lot of you guys watch the game, some of you guys are watching Texas A M in Florida or maybe the lsu, South Carolina ball game. But watching this game, I really felt that Auburn was about to deal these guys a death blow. And you know it was, and that was second down. So if they don't get, they get stopped there, they still get third down. And I don't know if you freeze goes for it on fourth down, but once that played, the momentum it was like, is so deflating because you're so close from a momentum altering play because you're like, man, we about to go up 17 nothing over what. They're the number 10 team in the country and we got them on the ropes because up until that point they had done absolutely nothing. They couldn't run it, they couldn't throw it. Even when you look at them now at 31 carries, 79 yards, Gunnar Stockton play, he got guys started making plays. He was 24, 38 for 217. But they had done nothing up until they got that fumble of the goal line. And then they did really didn't look back because like I said, they scored 20 unanswered point and it spoils Cam Newton's jersey retirement. They stopped it, they replayed it. I don't care how you look at it, that was not a touchdown because he's losing possession as he's about to cross. He doesn't have, he doesn't maintain, he doesn't have full possession of the football. You can't give them that. No, that was that. They called it on the field as a fumble and as replay evidence upheld the right call. That was a fumble. I know Auburn fans might not like it, but that was a fumble. And you just got to do, I'm sure the quarterback coach and Coach Fury, the offensive coordinator who's ever going to be dealing with the quarterback, they're going to say, son, we got to have the most important thing is ball security. You cannot turn. We cannot, we're not equipped. There are very few teams in college football as we want to talk about, we saw Oregon lose at home today to Indiana. There are very few teams equipped to fumble the ball at the go because it's such a deflating, it's such a demoralizing play. Ojo. We go from getting six, possibly seven points with the PAT till we get nothing. And then they go down and get a field goal. That's a 10 point swing. And now they got life. Now as bad as they play for the entirety of the first half, the they go into halftime feeling like they got momentum and they get the ball to start the second half. So Kirby is telling these guys that a way to fight your ass off. Guys, you hung in there. Give us a chance. You gave us a defense. Great job. You gave us a chance to stay in this ball game. Offense, now it's your turn. And they got momentum and they got, you know, they got a touchdown and they kicked a couple of field goals. But you can't, you, you cannot, you cannot turn the ball over. You just can't. You, Auburn especially, you're not good enough. This is not Cam Newton's Auburn Tigers. They're not. And, and, and they turned it over and they paid the ultimate price. But Georgia, Georgia get a get. Find a way to keep. They's like, let's just keep fighting and scrapping. They still got a couple of games to go. I think they got, I think they still got Florida, but Florida, Florida is not the Florida we were thinking about. Oh, Joe. The Texas Longhorns dominated the number six Oklahoma Sooners in the latest edition of the Red River Rivalry. 23 6. After disappointing showing against Florida last week, Arch Manning played sensational today. 21 of 27, 166 yards, one touchdown. Trailing six nothing minutes into the second quarter, Texas score 23 unanswered points over the final 34 and a half minutes and out gained the Sooners 188 to 88 at the half ceiling the program's largest margin of victory, 17 points over a AP top 10 opponent. As an unranked team since 1957, Ocho, you, Me, you and Johnny have been very, very critical of Arch Manning.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
This is the best I've seen him play against a ranked opponent.
Chad Johnson
Absolutely. And this is in the good thing. The good thing for Arch, he needed a game like this. Hunk. He, he need a game like this. Not against San Jose State or a smaller school where you're supposed to win and you're supposed to play well, but you need to have a game like this against a ranked opponent. That has equal to somewhat talent that you do as well. He played phenomenal day and this is great for his psyche, is great for his confidence. Now he can build from this going into next week and the rest of the games going forward saying, okay, you know what, I actually can do this. And I think he's playing so bad because it's happened to me before in my younger days when I first got the opportunity to start where things aren't going well and I start questioning myself. I start questioning myself, well, am I doing it right? I'm putting all the work and all, all the work I'm putting in practice is not showing up when it actually matters and counts. So for Arch to have a game like this today against a very, very good quality team, this is going to be a huge boost for his confidence. So I'm, I'm glad, I'm glad he had a game like this so he can go forward and you just stack one on top of another and build from there.
Shannon Sharpe
He needed this game oo and rightfully so. I don't think anybody has been out of line by criticizing him. Look, you're going to have to look and you're in that the sec, it's like being in the Big Ten. You're going to have to win games against Ohio State, you're going to have to win games against Michigan, you're going to have to win games against Oregon and so forth and so on. If you play in the sec, you've got to beat Georgia, you got to be Auburn, I mean, excuse me, Alabama. You've got to be some of the upper echelon teams.
Chad Johnson
Yes.
Shannon Sharpe
He has not played well when he's played conference opponents or out of conference opponents when they're been on his level. Level or maybe a little better. Today I thought he threw the ball. I thought he was decisive. I thought he threw the ball exceptional on the move. He was great on the move. Now look, we always knew that he was more athletic than both of his uncles. I don't know if he's as athletic as dad. His dad was a hell of a receiver. But. But he had a neck injury that ended up costing him his career. So. But we know after seeing him move regardless of the division that he played in in high school, the way he moves, we know he's more athletic than his uncles. The question that we have, can he process information as good as his uncle? Will he be as tra. Will it transition? Will he translate as good as his uncle today? This was the best Arch Manning that I have Seen against opponent that we like. I want to see what he can do against these opponents because we've seen him against other opponents and it didn't go well. This was sensational today. This was the best Arch Manning chat. I like to know what you guys think. This was the best I've seen him play against a big time school since he's been at ut. Yeah, he's filled in for when Quinn Ewes went down and man, Arch needs to start. Arch needs to start. Bro, that's San Jose State. Bro, that's a, a, a utep. No, no, no, no. When they do, when he does that against Bama or Georgia, Ohio State or like he did today, Oklahoma, Tennessee. Now you got my attention. But beating teams that you should be. Nah, that, that doesn't do anything for me. But I thought today OO was his best game that I've seen him play in a big. Since he's been at ut.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
And so I don't, I don't know what's going on with this.
Chad Johnson
What happened.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm trying to get this, I don't know what it is with this Internet. This, my Internet is so slow in here.
Chad Johnson
Hey, but again, oh, you. I'm telling you got to get rid of that dialogue. You gotta, you gotta, you got to get rid of that dial up, man. I'm telling you, spend a little extra cash. Get, get the fiber, fiber optic wires.
Shannon Sharpe
We got fiber optic optics.
Chad Johnson
My bad, my bad.
Shannon Sharpe
We got everything in here. Arts was 21 of 27, 166, one touchdown. They ran the ball 35 times for 36 for 136 yards. Look, you have no gaudy numbers, but. Oh, oh, you had the one thing we know about Brent Venables when he was at Clemson, they were. No, they had, you know, you think of DeShawn and you think of Trevor Lawrence, but their defenses were really, really good. AJ Terrell, Kristen Wilkins, Cleland Pharaoh, Dexter Lawrence, they had Brian Reed, they had guys that could get after the quarterback. They had outstanding defense and he is a pressure, pressure guy.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
So if you thought that, you know, he was going to have, you know, 350 yards against that defense, probably wasn't going to be likely. That is a division, that is a conference opponent. They play each other every year. They're very familiar with each other. But given the circumstances, considering how he's played against big time opponents since he's been there, this is the best. Look, I'm not saying the guy's gonna be Peyton. I'm. But I'm Saying we beat him up when we play, when he play bad. We should be able to lift him up when he plays good. That's all I'm saying.
Chad Johnson
Hey, listen, the key words you just said, he play, he played good. He didn't play great. He played. He played good. But this is, this is a confidence builder for him. And it's all about stacking wins on top of another. It's all about playing consistently and stacking those on top of another. And once you get in the groove and only always being consistent and protecting the ball, making the right reads, making the right throws, it'll. It'll come. It'll come to you.
Stephen Curry (voiceover)
He.
Chad Johnson
He gonna be, gonna be all right. He gonna be all right.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, no. I thought he played very good. He didn't just play good. He played very good. You look at the throws that he made on the run. Rolling to his left, rolling to his right, opening up his hips to throw the ball back to the middle. Threw on timing the touchdown, the guy broke free and he, he got that there. The big run at the end of the game to seal it. Ocho, you know, May, I don't know if you trust, trust Eli, but I've seen Peyton run some naked boots and be able to get it get down. But no, he played really, he played really, really well today. And I'm a firm believer because we beat him up pretty good and I think rightfully so. I don't think any of the criticism that's been levied by anybody that's been on this platform towards has been out of line. He hasn't played well based on what, what we've been told the product is. Yeah, like I said, I'm not interested if they beating utip, I'm not interested in beating San Jose State or they're beating lesser tier. You're going to cut your teeth. You're going to earn your keep by beating Alabama, beating Georgia, beating lsu, beating Tennessee, beating Oklahoma, beating those teams. That's when Ohio State, if you played that, when you played Ohio State and it didn't go well, but when you play teams like that ultra, that's how you make a name for yourself.
Chad Johnson
Absolutely.
Shannon Sharpe
When you step up in competition or you play a level competition or you go on the road and you win games, don't people don't give you an opportunity, don't think you can win or you're not supposed to win because you're an underdogger for whatever reason. I mean, obviously you go on the road, you, you want to win and you like hey, we got just as good a chance. But today he showed me something. That is a big rival. That's the red. That's our look. Texas and Oklahoma, they steal each other. They steal each other. Players. We come into Oklahoma and get your guys. You come into Texas and get our guys, right? And then guess what? We have a showdown the second week. What? Second week in October and for all for the bragging rights. And you see, they bring that trophy out and everybody's excited and celebrating because it's a big deal. Archman, you showed me something today, bro. You absolutely showed me something today. Hopefully they can carry over. Who do they play next week, Ash? Hopefully this is. This carries over and you can build on it. They're four and two. Think about. They started the season number one. Yeah, they were the number one ranked team in April.
Chad Johnson
Where they ranked now?
Shannon Sharpe
Since they have two losses, they just ranked. They stank. So they ranked. They're not ranked. Like I said, this is the first time that they've beaten a top 10 opponent as an unranked opponent since 1957. Hell, even I wasn't alive then.
Chad Johnson
Oh, they play Kentucky.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, they play Kentucky.
Chad Johnson
Wait. Oh, hold on, Ash, that game is October 18th.
Shannon Sharpe
No.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm gonna be at that game. I'll be at that game. You know, mocha, she got me tickets to sit in the student section. If I'm not mistaken, that's Kentucky's homecoming. Am I right? I'm correct, Ash.
Shannon Sharpe
Right? I don't know why they would do that.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, she told me to come. She said, daddy, come to. Can you come to the homecoming October 18th? So I told Doug, I say, doug, don't put no number schedule for October 18th. I'm going to sit in the student section. I'm a paint my face with, you know, the blue heart and the. And I'm aware to check. I'm a wear the checker overall. You know, to check overall. And I'm gonna send the student.
Shannon Sharpe
Man, they stole that from Tennessee. Tennessee wore them to wear checker overalls.
Chad Johnson
That's where they got that from. Yeah, yeah, they, you know, Kentucky got the blue and white one, so I got mine.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm ready to know that is from Tennessee. No, but look, this is something they can build on. I don't know what Texas schedule is, remaining schedule, but this is a big. This is a big boost for him. He knows he hasn't played well. He knows he hasn't played up to expectations. Everybody loves the backup quarterback until he has to start to play this is what you know. Oh, he play him in front of yours. Play him in front of yours. Don't you think if he was better than yours, Steve Sarkeesian would have put him in there? Yeah, of course he would have. Now, that's not to say that he won't go on and be a better pro than what yours. But they got Kentucky. They. At Kentucky at Mississippi State. They get Vanderbilt at home, which would not be easy. They get at Georgia, Arkansas, at Texas A and M. They don't got no easy schedule. Yeah, Texas A and M and Texas do not like each other. Texas, Texas. Texas A M actually tried to keep Texas out of the sec, so that's a little bad blood. Hell no.
Chad Johnson
How can you do that, huh? How can you keep another.
Shannon Sharpe
Another school not to let their ass in?
Chad Johnson
Oh, okay.
Shannon Sharpe
That's how you do that.
Chad Johnson
That's messed up.
Shannon Sharpe
At Kentucky, at Mississippi State, Vandy at home, at Georgia, Arkansas at home, Texas A M at home. So it's not like they got it. They. They desperately, desperately needed this win today. Yeah, desperately needed this win today. Mississippi State. I mean Kentucky. I mean rest of them all. All SEC opponents. Kentucky, Mississippi State, Vandy, Georgia, Arkansas, Texas A M. Oh, that's a good.
Chad Johnson
That's a nice little gauntlet, too.
Shannon Sharpe
Boy.
Chad Johnson
That's a nice little gauntlet, too. But again, as Texas goes have everything is based off the quarterback play.
Shannon Sharpe
Which.
Chad Johnson
Man, this ain't just about Texas. This goes for any team, whether it's college, whether it's high school, whether it's NFL. The better your quarterback plays, the better your chances are at competing and winning games.
Shannon Sharpe
Yes, you're abs. You're absolutely correct because they've sit. They've sit. They. They. The way they've set the game up now oo. The ball is in his hands. The way they protect the quarterback, the way they protect the wide receivers with targeting, especially in college with targeting and all that stuff. Yes, the quarterback, he's far, far too valuable and. And directly impacts how well your team plays. He. When he plays well, the team plays well. When he plays like crap. It's hard in today's game, but be it college, NFL or high school, to overcome poor quarterback play, especially in today's game. But University of Texas get a win on the Red river rivalry over the Arrivals, the Oklahoma Sooners by the score of 23.

Ashlyn Harris
My worth is not wrapped up in how many things I've won, because what I came to realize is I valued winning so much that once it was over, I got the blues and I was like, this is it for me. It's the pursuit of greatness. It's the journey, it's the people, it's the failures, it's the heartache.

3 to 6. They scored 23 unanswered points to take the win. Drew Allen's college career is likely over. And Penn State, once promising season, has turned into a nightmare. The Nittany Lions lost their third straight game on Saturday, a 2221 loss at home to Northwestern. Nittany Lions coach James Franklin confirmed after the afterwards that Aller would miss the rest of the season because he played four more games each of the past four years. Aller has no more eligibility remaining. Only way Aller's career could be extended if there's some type of NCAA eligibility rule, right? Franklin, after the loss is 100% on me and we've got to get it fixed. And I will get it fixed. But I think now y' all still. Oh, we, I remember three weeks ago we talked about this. We talked about James Franklin continuously lose games. He, he never wins the game that he's not that he's supposed to win. When he goes up against Ohio State, I think he's beaten Ohio State maybe once, but he finds a way to lose. And then last week, and then again this week, Northwestern, Northwestern. I understand you lost your quarterback, but you got more talent than Northwestern, right?
Chad Johnson
Hey, whoa, whoa, wait, wait, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Now, you know how, how severe it can become offensively to run offense. Think about what you Just what you just said. When it comes to having a quarterback, consistent quarterback play, and how difficult it becomes to actually win games down. So maybe, maybe he doesn't have the talent you think he may have, or you wouldn't have three losses in a row even.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, no, no, I don't, I don't. Look, I think James Franklin is a good coach. I don't think he's great. I don't think there's anything special about him, to be honest. That's just me watching him, watching him when he was at Vanderbilt, watching him over his career. I don't think he's special. I don't think he's a. Must have. I don't think he invigorates your. Like, oh, my God, we got James Franklin.
Chad Johnson
Right, right, right, right, right.
Shannon Sharpe
I don't think, I don't think. You know, if one of these big time. So you think if Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama of one of these big time college programs, the first card is reaching out to James Franklin. No. No. Absolutely not. Look, bro, they go, you go to Northwestern. You're like, man, I'm gonna be a doctor, I'm gonna be a businessman, I'm gonna be a lawyer. I'm. I would be journalism man. Come on.
Chad Johnson
Hey, so you're not giving the football player no credit, huh?
Shannon Sharpe
I mean, look, Pat Fitzgerald was a hell of a football player in college. I mean, I don't really know a whole lot of Northwestern players that play in the NFL. I mean, I know a lot of them that's in, you know, Mike Wilbon and Mike Greenberg. I know a lot of them.
Chad Johnson
You know what I think I know.
Shannon Sharpe
A lot of businessmen, a lot of business people that went to Northwestern.
Chad Johnson
You know. You know what I want to say too? Obviously, I'm not taking up for James Franklin. You have to win games, especially playing for, For a school, a prestigious school like Penn State that has had much success throughout their, throughout their tenure. In general. I also, I look about. I think about Bill Belichick, as great as he is, as great as his resume is in the NFL and going to North Carolina and obviously having expectations. A lot of people expecting them to, to look like what Bill did and what he's able to do with the Patriots and then him not having success in North Carolina as similar to James Franklin. We have expectations for them to look a certain way, but maybe he doesn't actually have the tools and the players to be able to do what he needs to do to beat some of the big schools.
Shannon Sharpe
Penn State sunk millions and millions of dollars in retaining key veterans from 2025, aiming to repeat Ohio success in 2024. So they spent money to bring a lot of them guys back.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, the offensive tackle, he got hurt. He's the highest paid tackle in football at the Chargers. He went to Northwestern. Rashawn Slater.
Chad Johnson
Oh, he the real. Hey, he's the deal. He the real deal.
Shannon Sharpe
It's a. But. But that season is over, Ocho. They. Wait, where you going? You ain't going to the Big Ten championship. You ain't going to no college football playoffs, bro. You lost it. You lost the Northwestern. Even if you. I don't even know if you can get into college football football playoffs if you only had one loss and you lost to them. Ah, man, that. This. I mean, this was. This was horrible. This is. This is. It's hard to say this is James Franklin's worst loss because he's had so many worst loss.
Chad Johnson
Right?
Shannon Sharpe
But this is.
Chad Johnson
You gota. You gotta remember, too, those worst losses were against much, much better schools. Very, very not.
Shannon Sharpe
It ain't supposed to be no much. You. Penn State. You do realize Penn State won national championship. You know they put a lot of guys in the NFL. Penn. Penn State used to put. Penn State. Used to be Alabama. Putting guys in the NFL before.
Chad Johnson
I know. Hey, listen, we going back to Lavar Arrington. We're going back to Kajana Carter.
Shannon Sharpe
Kerry Collins.
Chad Johnson
Kerry Collins. Let me keep going. Hold on. Well, obviously, we know Micah. We know, brother. Abdul.
Shannon Sharpe
Abdul Carter.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. Abdul. It's more than that, though. It's more.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, yeah, for sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chad Johnson
Way more than that. That's just off the top of my head on what I can remember.
Shannon Sharpe
But they have not been good at all. And I think they put up. I think I was reading today they would owe Dwayne Franklin about $49 million if they were to buy him out.
Chad Johnson
Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Stop, stop, stop, stop. How much?
Shannon Sharpe
49 million.
Chad Johnson
Hey, what you think about me you getting into college? Coaching?
Shannon Sharpe
No, I want no part of coaching. I don't have the patience.
Chad Johnson
You got the who?
Shannon Sharpe
I don't have the patience.
Chad Johnson
You ain't patient enough for 49. $49 million.
Shannon Sharpe
I am not. Ain't no sense to me fully, J. Y' all know who I am. Y' all know how I am. Yeah. So ain't no sense. You know, they had Ocho, Saquon, Barkley. They had D.J. carter.
Chad Johnson
I'm tripping. Saquan.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm sorry, Doer. Kajana Carter, Saquon Barkley. Oh, they had some. They've had some running back. I think Curtis Enis went there too.
Chad Johnson
Curtis Enis? Curtis Enis, man. Uncle, you ain't said no receivers yet.
Shannon Sharpe
I think Kyle Brady went to Penn State.
Chad Johnson
Oh, hold on. K.J. hamler.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
K.J. hamlin. Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
They had another. Had a. Had a. Dude, I forget. I think he came out a couple years before me. Kurt Warner might be the best running back, but he ended up getting hurt. He went to Seattle. He was a. He was a monster.
Chad Johnson
Oh, wait, Chris Godwin went there?
Shannon Sharpe
Yep.
Chad Johnson
Hey, where did Curtis Conway go?
Shannon Sharpe
Usc.
Chad Johnson
Okay. That's right. Yeah. That's right. That's right.
Shannon Sharpe
You talk about Layla Lee's husband?
Chad Johnson
Yeah. Okay. Okay, you're right. Yeah. Curtis. I'm thinking somebody else. Somebody else?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. I don't know. Ocho.
Chad Johnson
O.J. mcDuffie.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. That's who. Yeah.
Matt Jones
He ended up.
Shannon Sharpe
He went to Miami. He played for your Dolphins and he had a. He was there with a turf toe injury. Yeah. End up having a turf toe injury. And they injected it and he kept. And it messed him up and he. And I think he sued the Dolphins.
Chad Johnson
Damn.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. Oh, Cho. The Indiana Hoosiers go in to Oregon and they come away with a 3020 victory, snapping the Ducks 18 game home winning streak, holding them to only 64 yards in the second half. The victory is Indiana's second ever against the top five opponent, joining the 1967 win over Purdue. It's the program first world road win over a top five opponent in programs history. History.
Chad Johnson
Hey, listen, that's one of the few games I wasn't able to watch. Obviously out here where I am in London, I don't get. I was able to get to see a few games. The actual. The main games. I wasn't able to see the Oregon game. Please explain to me with this being the one game I wasn't able to watch, how in the hell did Indiana beat Oregon, which I think is much better in the trenches, much better at the skill position and hold him to how many points in the second half?
Shannon Sharpe
They held him to 64 yards.
Chad Johnson
60. Oh, 64 yards. Wait, was it. It was. It must have been raining real bad, huh?
Shannon Sharpe
It wasn't raining.
Chad Johnson
No. Okay. Okay. I'm just trying.
Shannon Sharpe
I mean, Indiana had two guys that had 13 total tackles. They had two guys that had eight. They had two guys that had 8 tackles. Or they got after Mocho. Well, let's see. 3, 4, 5, 6. 6 sacks, 8 tackle for losses, 4 QB hurries.
Chad Johnson
Jesus.
Shannon Sharpe
Gotta do it.
Chad Johnson
They must have been blissing. They must have been blissing out the wazoo.
Shannon Sharpe
They can get out there. Hey, to Mac. Pat McAfee. P. Mack, he picked it. Everybody else across the board with Oregon.
Chad Johnson
Oregon. Pat McAfee the only one picked Indiana to win.
Shannon Sharpe
Indiana.
Chad Johnson
He knows something. He know ball.
Shannon Sharpe
Indiana is like, we saw a little bit of this last year and we thought it was like an outlier man. They ain't gonna do. They're like, we tried to show we for real and they backed it up. They back. They backing up last year, following up, they consolidating. In tennis, when you break serve now, you get to serve now. Can you consolidate it right? They're trying to consolidate last season with this season. And they're off to a great start. They're not a. They're not. No put. This is not the Indiana that, you know, that we grew. That I grew up. You know, they had a few good players. Anthony Thompson, he came out with me, a running back, I think most. Most rushing touchdowns, something like that. But this team was really, really good. Really, really good. It's gonna be. I don't. I don't know if Ohio State or Michigan's on their schedule, but they got a chance to go back. Ocho to do it again. Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Wait, What's Indiana record?
Shannon Sharpe
6 0. Number seven team in the country.
Chad Johnson
Do they have any other ranked opponents left on their schedule? Is it pretty easy from this point?
Shannon Sharpe
Pull up your schedule. Let's see what they're looking like. They. They say we. I don't know if they've already played Penn State, but if they do, that's a victory. I don't know if they play fair, but that's a victory for them. Hell, no. Okay. Ocho.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
They got Michigan State at home, UCLA at home. They go at Maryland, at Penn State, Wisconsin at home, at Purdue. They can easily run the sketch. They could easily run the table.
Chad Johnson
They could run that table. But I. I would say that UCLA game might be a trap game. I don't know.
Shannon Sharpe
UCLA playing better.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. Since they fired. Since the fight coach got fired or he just.
Shannon Sharpe
Yes, he got fired, man.
Chad Johnson
Ever since he got fired, boy, they've been playing Old World.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. Rick Dale appointed. Rick Neuheisel's son is the interim coach and he's done a great job. He's got it playing well. The quarterback is playing a lot better. Yeah. Look, Sean Foster just wasn't getting it done no other way around it. Because all I know is that those same players that he hadn't won a game with somebody else came in and they won with him.
Chad Johnson
Hey, what is that? Why does that always happen, huh?
Shannon Sharpe
I don't know.
Chad Johnson
When a coach gets fired in the middle of the season for some reason, the players respond a little better and play much and play well. I, I, I don't understand. I know coach coaches looking like, well, hell, why y' all ain't do this when I was there? Why you didn't play this way with.
Shannon Sharpe
This kind of effort, Maybe coaching them up, maybe it's a different, different philosophies or maybe it's how you call in plays. Because I think Newhouse is calling the plays.
Chad Johnson
Okay, so damn.
Shannon Sharpe
Michigan State, UCLA just be dropped the ham on them. So. And then they got UCLA following that up. Then they at Maryland, at Penn State, Wisconsin and then they got Purdue.
Chad Johnson
So, you know, my, you know, my college quarterback is the head coach at Michigan State too.
Shannon Sharpe
Is he?
Chad Johnson
Yeah. Jonathan Smith, he was, he was my quarterback at Oregon State. Then he was the, was the head coach at Oregon State. Then he just got the job at Michigan State. I think this is his second year. Maybe either second. Yeah, I think it's your second year.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, that's what so congratulations to iu. Go on the road and take knock off the number three Oregon Ducks by the score of 30 to 20. Held them to 64 yards in the second half. Coach prime returned to the sidelines only four days after having surgery to remove to remove blood clots. Uh, the CU Buffaloes get their second wins in the Coach prime era over a ranked opponent, number 22 Iowa state cyclones 2417. Uh, he apparently did not sit down during the entire game and ESPN report reported that an assistant on the sideline was following him around with a stool in case he needed it. Colorado linebacker Jeremiah Brown said, it gave us a reason to fight, a great reason to fight. Coach prime had surgery on Tuesday and he came back that Wednesday morning after four hour surgery and he was hurt, he was limping on the field, hurting, still running around, still giving us all the energy we need. So I think that's all we needed to fight. He said. There are some coaches out there make you want to run through a brick wall for Ocho. How impressed were you with what you saw with the Buffaloes?
Chad Johnson
Listen, I'm obviously, I'm really impressed. I'm really impressed with them actually fighting. They've had some game that they lost this year. What where everyone is really damn. They counted them out. They've really counted them out. You go in there, you're playing against another ranked Opponent in Iowa state being ranked 22. And they fought. They fought their tails off. And I'm sure prime having to come out of surgery, still being there, still being there, showing up, showing up for your players. And it gives you a little bit more. Will gives you a little more want to, as a player, to want to fight not only for your coach, you know, but for your teammates as well. And to show people like, this ain't the same Colorado Buffalo. We not the same Colorado Buffaloes. Even though things aren't going well this season, we have some losses, but we want to show we can compete at this level too, against ranked opponents. And I'm sure everybody in the Mama, if you're a gambling man, you probably pick Iowa State to win this goddamn game.
Shannon Sharpe
Of course. Yes. I mean, considered they had only one. Had only beaten one ranked opponent in his tenure. And seemingly, for whatever reason, they don't play their absolute best when they play ranked opponents. So, yeah, if you are a gambling man, if you're a betting man, you absolutely would have picked Iowa State. And I was a little concerned. 37 rushes, 236 yards. But I thought Kaden Salter played extremely well. He threw the ball extremely, extremely well. Today they ran the ball well. 140. 140 rush yards on 39 carries. The receiver had eight for one. 128. They play, they. They played well. Ocho. This was the best. Look, we wanted a clean game, too. No turnovers. Yeah, clean game. You know, they're. They're not. They're not good enough to overcome that turnover. Yeah, they're not over.
Daniel Jeremiah
They can't.
Shannon Sharpe
They can't overcome turnover. They can't. That. That's not who they are. I mean, you look, they should. There are some games on that show. They're at Utah, Arizona at home. West Virginia on the road. Arizona State at home. K State on the road. So Utah is always tough.
Daniel Jeremiah
Yes.
Chad Johnson
Every time, every year.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. I was concerned, though. I was like, damn, see you. Can y' all stop the run? Another 230 yard performance. You know, you don't normally win games. You let team run for 230 yards on you.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Cause they possessed the ball. So you have to be really, really good when you get the ball because they run the ball like that. But. But somehow. See you won the time of possession. See you. I mean, the difference in the ball game. Mocho. Third downs, Iowa State was 2 or 12. Colorado was 7 to 15.
Chad Johnson
Get you every time.
Shannon Sharpe
Every single time.
Chad Johnson
Third down.
Shannon Sharpe
I was good in the penalty phase. Ocho, they didn't. It's 6 for 43. You could live with that. Iowa State had 7 for 59, had one turnover, interception. Time of possession was damn near even. 29.57 for Iowa State, 30.03 for CU. But, yeah, see you. See you. Look, if you're gonna get this kind of play out of Salter, and if they can run the football like this now, you got to do a better. They got to do a better job of stopping to run. I mean, you're not gonna. You're not gonna have a whole lot of success giving up 230 plus yards.
Chad Johnson
They ain't got that kind of meat and potatoes up there, Mom. They ain't got that kind of potatoes up there.
Shannon Sharpe
Well, they gotta stun or something, Mocho. They gotta do something.
Chad Johnson
Okay? Because if you stunt, you open, you open up.
Shannon Sharpe
You open, you do your door. You do. But I mean, time got to be really, really impressed. I mean, really, really happy with his ball club. Obviously, going through what he's going through, that's not easy. But I noticed something, see? And I said. I looked at mother. I said, well, damn. I know. I said, I know. Timing on the sideline. He got one shoe on. I said, but he looked like he wearing. Is he in his socks? But I thought it was a white sneaker. I. I mentioned it last week. I was like, what? I'm like, damn. And they didn't. They zoomed it, but they didn't zoom back in on it. So I was like, all right, I'm just gonna chalk it up. Like, man, he got on this, man, you know, a bigger shoe than, you know, otherwise. But I was like. And come to find out he was actually in his sock on the sideline. He had a shoe on the right foot, but no shoe, just his sock on the left foot. I was like, damn. And. And you know, going through what he's going through. Cause I know a little bit, a lot about what he went through, especially at Jackson State, and. And this last situation is tough, man. It's tough. You like, man, but you talk about somebody that. That believes that if anybody can handle something like this to go through what he's gone through, he's the guy. He's a believer. He has the faith. But it's not easy. It's not easy, but he. But his family, as he said, has a history of blood clots. I think he had an uncle a past or something from blood clots. So blood clots running his family, that seems to be hereditary. So it's going to be very, very interesting man. I just. How much can that body. How much can that body take? I mean, you know, they're carrying a stool behind him in case he needed to sit down, fatigue. But if you just watched him, you'd have never knew he had surgery as serious as a surgery as he had on Tuesday. If you just watched the game, if you just watched him, he just, he looked like time.
Chad Johnson
Normal. Yeah, he looked normal.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. But obviously we know what he went through. I don't know the specific details of what they do to try to clean up blood clots. I mean, obviously they try to go in there and dissolve them. He's on blood thinners, probably going to be on those for the rest of his life. But this is a big win for him. I. I think those kids did him a solid. They did him a solid today. And I know he's very, very proud of those kids because, like, he. After the game, he was talking to the reporter, I don't know her name, but he's like, look, God got me. This is by the kids. This is by the kid. He ain't know that the kids storming the field gonna cost. Go cost the athletic department 50k.
Chad Johnson
Listen, I know that, listen, I know that letter. Park department is not worried about the little 50k. And this. If we got to pay, if we got to pay every time we play at home, we willing to pay that 50k. We can get these results for every home game.
Shannon Sharpe
They gonna start increasing it though now, 50k, now they probably double it next time. I mean, look, that's a rank. That's a ranked opponent. Yeah, you hadn't had very many wins over ranked opponents. And it's a home victory. You know, you lost at home to Georgia Tech. You lost at home. No, you lost at home by three to byu, which was a ranked opponent that you really should have won that game, could have easily won the Georgia Tech game. Maybe the season looks a little different. They need to string some wins together, though, you know, they need to string some wins together, find a way to go get to beat a Utah team. I don't. I don't. I don't know. Utah's record hadn't played a whole lot, paid a whole lot of attention to them, but they need to find a way to try to put two or three wins together, go up to Utah and play extremely well, take care of the football, turn them over and get a win, and then come home against Arizona and try to put two or three, you know, try to get some wins. Ojo and get bowl eligible. Yeah, let's see. One, two, three. Right now they three and three. So I think you need. You need six wins to become bowl eligible, Right? So they're going to have to win. Oh, they're going to have to win one of these road games. They have to win one of these road games to become bowl eligible. So Utah, West Virginia, K State. And you're going to have to, you know, you're gonna have to hold serve at home. You got Arizona and Arizona State at home. You're gonna have to win both of those. And you're gonna have to win one game on the road at least.
Chad Johnson
That's a tough task. Hey, you just called out, too. Now. Case Stadium. K Stadium. No joke.
Shannon Sharpe
No, no. Case KK State. Ain't no.
Stephen Curry (voiceover)
Ain't no.
Shannon Sharpe
Ain't no easy win, Joe. Nope. Virginia, Rich Rodriguez. You know, they're not the same. West Virginia in his first tenure where, you know, where they had Pat White and those guys were, you know, Tayvon Austin, all those guys, all in spade, playing in space.
Chad Johnson
Different boy.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, I think Steve Slayton, I think that was the running back's name. I think that's his name. They're not that right. But they're tough to beat at home, and so we'll see what, what time have in store for them. But they definitely need to get bold eligible. They need to win three more games, and I think they're more than capable of doing that. Ocho. After the game, Coach prime found out schools get fined 50k for rushing the field. But I love to see it. I really do. Is it a fine for rush in the field? Yes, sir.
Chad Johnson
What is it?
Shannon Sharpe
550? 50. 50 what? 50,000 for rushing the field? Yes, sir. How's it 50,000 for rushing the field? Who, who, who made that a rule? Excuse me. Come on, man, that ain't right. I mean, these kids. Well, we have 50,000 right there.
Chad Johnson
Believe we can chip in.
Shannon Sharpe
Let's chip in. I was. When I grew up, you know, we're going somewhere. Back before you get in the car, some gas.
Chad Johnson
You gotta chip in.
Shannon Sharpe
I think it's 250. I think it's 250 in the SEC as check and see if that. I think it's 250,000 if they rush to feel in the SEC.
Chad Johnson
No, the SEC got different kind of money. They got different kind of money. So obviously. Obviously, the price. The price is a little different.
Shannon Sharpe
True. Look, I think the thing is, Ocho, is that, you know, sometimes students, you know, they have, you know, Some of them, they got ID and they're able to drink. And sometimes, you know, I think you're trying to protect the students and you're trying to check the players. You don't want a Legarit blunt situation, you know, you don't want situations like that. So you really want to protect the players and you want to protect the student body. So I. I get why they're doing it. I do. I really do. But it's hard to tell a college kid that's excited been screaming their lungs out for the last two and a half, three hours and we just get a big victory. No, don't. No, I don't run the field.
Chad Johnson
Now what, what they can do is. What they can do is have security. When it, when you know you're going to win a game against a rank opponent and they're excited, you got to have security.
Shannon Sharpe
You don't know you're gonna win no game against no ranked opponent when you unranked.
Chad Johnson
Oh, no, I'm saying they got to already be prepared and have security lined up around that goddamn state.
Shannon Sharpe
You got 50,000 security people. Because who don't? Who? Them. 25. Did you see go back and take a look at the film, the security talk about stop. And the kids coming right by them. It's 500k performing the field.
Chad Johnson
Hey, think about that. How do you control a stadium full of college kids and tell them not to storm. Storm the field?
Shannon Sharpe
I tell you what, how do you control that? You can't. Because I guarantee you, if I don't know if Auburn is ranked and if Alabama plays Auburn, and they will in the Iron bowl and if Alabama has to go to Auburn, right. Guess what's gonna happen if Auburn wins? They storming the field. And guess what? I don't know if Georgia plays Georgia Tech, but guess what happens if Georgia Tech beats Georgia? They storming the field.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, hey, it is what it is. And guess what? If Michigan beats Ohio State.
Chad Johnson
Hey, who writes that? That comes from the college, the athletic director.
Shannon Sharpe
I mean, who they come from probably come from this. Probably the, the budget, the SC athletic department.
Chad Johnson
Hey, they might go ahead and write as soon as the game over. They see the sooner them kids storm that field, that clock is zero. They might get the check writing.
Shannon Sharpe
Mississippi State was fined 500,000 by the SEC for its fans rushing the field following a home win over then ranked number 12 Arizona State back in September. Guess what? If they play Ole Miss, you might as well should have gave them a million dollars. Because if they play Ole Miss at home. They gonna storm the field again. They gonna storm the field again.
Chad Johnson
Absolutely.
Shannon Sharpe
And guess what? They got Texas. Let them beat Texas. They're gonna storm the field again. And. And the thing is, is that, man, you ought to sort of. I look at the security. I said, y' all better get out the way before y' all get ran over. Even. Even the women coming up out the stand like, hey, we're going to the field. Yeah, they booked it.
Chad Johnson
You saw. You. You saw the kid that was stuck up under the goal post see you? Yeah, I think. I think. I think it had.
Shannon Sharpe
I just. I'm just watching. I'm just watching them come off the side, okay? Like, they storming like this. Like the troops stormed the beach at Normandy. That's how they look coming over the railings.
Chad Johnson
But damn, some little kid was stuck.
Shannon Sharpe
I guess that would be cool to Ocho.
Chad Johnson
Hey, that. That. That. That'd be. That'd be. Hey, that'd be dope. Can you imagine? You think you'd be able to make it?
Shannon Sharpe
Make what?
Chad Johnson
Let's say what happened. You.
Matt Jones
You.
Chad Johnson
You had a game, and you watch it in the stands. And all the kids storm the field. You gonna storm with them.
Shannon Sharpe
Man, I ain't moving, man. I jump. Hey, the last thing I need to do is jump down and. And my hip pop out of place. I would say. I would say. How I got down in that stadium, that's how I get my black ass up out that stadium. I walk down them steps, I'm gonna walk back up, hit the exit, and come on down.
Chad Johnson
Hell, no.
Shannon Sharpe
Hell nah, bad man. I ain't young no more. Ow. Hey, I don't be doing all that foolishness. Oh, man, I'm gonna let you have that, Ocho.
Chad Johnson
Hey, you could take my hips, you can take my knees, you can take my everything.
Shannon Sharpe
Well, because I might need to consider. You can't use them to do nothing else.
Chad Johnson
You crazy?
Shannon Sharpe
I mean, not. Not from the looks of it. You might have my hips. Why you bull driving.
Chad Johnson
Hold on, hold on, hold on.
Stephen Curry (voiceover)
Did you.
Matt Jones
You.
Chad Johnson
Did you see me today?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, I did, unfortunately.
Chad Johnson
Let me finish. Let me finish.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay.
Chad Johnson
I play a dependent. What? I play a dependent. What?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, you. You play a dependent position.
Chad Johnson
Okay, wait, wait. And I'm trying to be careful because I. I can't talk about. You know what I'm trying to say.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know your quarterback. Yes.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, I'm trying. I'm trying to be safe, but I have fun. I. I had fun. I was out there. And you know what? My dumb ass. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I mean, the curse. I should know why I'm out there running full speed like an idiot with not understanding that individual doesn't play with. With us. Where I'm going. So I'm out there. I'm back there going full speed. I'm like, oh, shoot, they. It ain't the time. The time and all off, but it was fun. I had me a good old time.
Shannon Sharpe
I don't know, Jordan. It looks suspect to me.
Chad Johnson
I know. Of course it gonna look suspect to you when you're not on the sideline watching in person.
Shannon Sharpe
I watch it close enough.
Chad Johnson
Hey, but we.
Shannon Sharpe
You.
Chad Johnson
You know what it is? You know. Hey, hey, Uncle. You see how fast I still am, though? You can't see that.
Shannon Sharpe
I saw somebody named Cinco.
Chad Johnson
Hey, hey.
Shannon Sharpe
He went mvp.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. Wait, that's. That's the other.
Matt Jones
And.
Chad Johnson
And. And.
Shannon Sharpe
And. And the girl that was on your team, she going. She mossing, folks.
Chad Johnson
Hey, no, that one my team. That's the other team.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, that was the other team.
Chad Johnson
Oh, yeah, the one who was doing all the dancing. When she asked, hey, she played flag football for real. I'm like, man, where she. I had to ask Fitzpatrick where she come from. Like, yes.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, I didn't know that, cuz. I was like, damn, she could catch.
Chad Johnson
Hey, catch.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm like, she could really catch.
Chad Johnson
Hey, hey, that was fun. It was. It was a lot of influences. A lot of influences. Influencer. I didn't even know they could ball like that. Duke Dennis, man. I'm like, well, Duke, boy, you ain't. You ain't play no sports. You ain't play no ball. All them boys who, man, Jay. Cinco. J. Cinco out there. Hey, he looked like. Goddamn, he look like Earl Little. I'm not Earl Little. Jason. Earl Thomas. Yeah, he was all over the place.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm like, but, God, that's how you supposed to have a being.
Chad Johnson
No, no, no, no, no, there's not. There's only somebody. Come on now, you. Hey, you. Hey, you saw my interception. You saw my interception? Had grab that thing with one hand, though, all upset.
Shannon Sharpe
When you gonna bring trophy back, huh? You participating in all this stuff and ain't brought one trophy home to Nightcap.
Chad Johnson
Hey, these are not individual games. These are team games I'm playing. There's only so much I could do. I could tell.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm trying to figure out what team you was on. Cause you didn't help nobody.
Chad Johnson
I. I did what. I did what I could do. I felt like A.J.
Daniel Jeremiah
Brown.
Chad Johnson
What you want me to do?
Shannon Sharpe
Not much.
Chad Johnson
I felt like A.J. brown, but I. I ain't cut up. I ain't say nothing because I understand.
Shannon Sharpe
What y' all think, Chad.
Chad Johnson
The chat understand, too.
Shannon Sharpe
No, the chat don't understand. They say you was on some bull diggity today, Ocho.
Chad Johnson
Hey, everything came.
Shannon Sharpe
You was good and terrible.
Chad Johnson
Hey, everything came my way. I snagged that. But did you see my feet? You saw my feet? I still got it, like, real natural in the back of the end zone. You seen that?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Hey, my hand. My hands was nice. My feet. Hey. And the dudes are like, hey, how you still run like that at 57?
Shannon Sharpe
Ain't nobody say that. Yeah, yeah, Ocho. I mean, for a guy that played at the level in which you played at, you don't look real athletic. I'm just saying, Chad, what y' all think? Do y' all do. Did Ocho look athletic to you guys?
Chad Johnson
Hey, I don't know. Hey, you know what? I don't know what you was watching.
Shannon Sharpe
I was watching you. I made sure. Oh, that's twice that I've seen you in celebrity events. Twice. The. The basketball. You say you was facilitating.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, I was facilitating. Hey, I was.
Shannon Sharpe
I don't know what you was doing today.
Chad Johnson
Hey, catching everything that was thrown to me and picking and picking stuff off on defense.
Shannon Sharpe
I say, well, damn.
Chad Johnson
Hey, I look good, bro. You should.
Shannon Sharpe
No, you didn't, Ocho. I mean, no, you didn't. Chad, he.
Chad Johnson
Hey, listen. Hey, listen, I. I got. I got to be careful. I have fun to have fun.
Shannon Sharpe
Glad you had fun.
Chad Johnson
I don't want to.
Shannon Sharpe
You is what we call a chad that happens to be a Karen's husband. So that's how you got your name. So you bad. I say, man, that's for real, man. You need to get your. Man, you need to get nailed out there, man. You need to get your boy, Ocho. I said, well, let me see what's going on.
Chad Johnson
Hey, listen, I said, this man out there, bull driving. I wasn't bull driving. Listen, I can't complain. I can't argue. If it come to me, it come to me. If it don't, there's nothing I could do. There's nothing. Nothing to say. That's not the place to be acting a fool. NFL invited me out here, you know, they prayed. They prayed. They paid a pretty penny for me to come here and enjoy my four days in London. That's all I could do. If it's coming, that's all you did you?
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, what they paid you to do, that's what you did. Come enjoy yourself. You enjoy yourself. Cause don't chose your aim, boy.
Chad Johnson
I tell you what. I tell you what. Tomorrow I'm going to see your Broncos play at Tottenham Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. And if they don't show up, you better not say football. If they get beat by the jets, you better not say nothing tomorrow. All I know, because I gave. I gave my all today.
Shannon Sharpe
Well, that wasn't much, huh? That wasn't much.
Chad Johnson
It don't look like much, but there's only so much I can do.
Shannon Sharpe
I can't. Hey, babe, maybe it's too many cigars. Maybe you need. Maybe you need to cut back.
Chad Johnson
Hey, speaking of cigars, right? Boy, I ain't come out no plays. I played offense and defense. I ain't even get tired. I played the whole game.
Shannon Sharpe
You weren't doing enough to get tired?
Chad Johnson
No, I was.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, you weren't.
Chad Johnson
I was running full speed. Now, you. You said I was doing it. You talking about I wasn't doing enough. Like. I can't. I can't. I control what I can control.
Shannon Sharpe
If that's your full speed, you ain't beat nobody that you talked.
Chad Johnson
You. You weren't watching. You weren't watching.
Shannon Sharpe
I watched.
Chad Johnson
No, you weren't watching. You ain't. You ain't watching.
Shannon Sharpe
Chad, what y' all think about Ocho's performance today? Honestly, what y' all think about Ocho's performance?
Chad Johnson
It's only so much I gotta do. I'm trying to.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, yo, somebody said you need to just sell cigars on the sideline.
Chad Johnson
Hey, listen, listen. People.
Shannon Sharpe
If people.
Chad Johnson
People. If people know football, if they understand football and you. And you watching, then you already know. I have to be careful. I can't say what I want to say. You know, it's just. Just. But I have fun. I know one thing. I'm fast as hell.
Shannon Sharpe
All I know is you said you go score, you about three or four touchdowns. That's what I chat. That's what our listeners. That's what our subscribers were expecting.
Chad Johnson
Ask you something. Do you want me do. How am I gonna throw? See, I'm trying to be careful. Okay? Right, right. I mean, would you. You want me to throw it to myself and then run and go catch?
Shannon Sharpe
No.
Chad Johnson
Okay.
Shannon Sharpe
You weren't getting open.
Chad Johnson
Okay? Not, not, not. That's what we gonna do is we. What we're not gonna do is we're not gonna play with my feet like that. That's what. That's what we're not gonna do you walking. We not.
Shannon Sharpe
Man out there walking in.
Chad Johnson
His r. Hey, hey, I'll put. I would put him up and put him down.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, all I'm trying to say. What year was that? That might have been like 2009.
Chad Johnson
What happened?
Shannon Sharpe
We actually had. We actually had an NFL flag football game. We had like, Marino Montana. Yeah, it was me to prime. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Stephen Curry (voiceover)
Okay.
Chad Johnson
Aiden boy. Hey, they was out there playing hard, boy.
Shannon Sharpe
They used to have a flag. A flag football game during the super bowl on mtv. For real? Yeah, it was me, Warren Moon, Dan Marino, Nelly Lachey used to be married to Jessica Simpson. Lala. Nicole Richie. Oh, yeah.
Chad Johnson
Why they stop doing that, man?
Shannon Sharpe
I don't know, but we rather play because Nelly, man, Nelly athletic as hell.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
But anyway, so the last player said, it's the last play, whoever. If we score a touchdown, we win. If they knock it down, they win.
Chad Johnson
Right?
Shannon Sharpe
Man, we put. They put Nelly outside, run a nine. Warren threw it up. Nearly ran up under 50 yards. Yep.
Chad Johnson
Nelly fast, huh?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, Nelly can. Nelly athletic. For real. For real.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, yeah.
Chad Johnson
It's so funny is you. You get to see some of these dudes that. That obviously, they're streamers. That's what they do. No, and then I actually see him, Duke, Dennis and Jason. I'm like, wait a minute. Wait a minute.
Shannon Sharpe
Boy, if y'. All.
Chad Johnson
Boy, don't put that camera down. Well, y' all could do something with that, I think.
Shannon Sharpe
Dude, Dennis was in the military. Real. I think so. What did you. Yeah.
Chad Johnson
All right. I ain't know that a military take a. Take a different type of discipline, man.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, all that.
Chad Johnson
You need to be screaming at me.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, yeah. You know, I caught me and caught me a gold. Caught me a goalball on a. He used to be married to Sophia Vergard. Joe Margiel Nello. I think that he said. I don't know how to say his last name, but he married to Sophia Vergard. Yeah.
Chad Johnson
The actor. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
I beat him on the Go Ball show. I real. I rather stutter nine on it. Hey, I felt bad.
Chad Johnson
I know.
Shannon Sharpe
I just didn't run no stutter nine on this man. And this man probably ain't never played football or hadn't played football forever.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, that was fun. Hey, Fitzpatrick was over there, man. Man throwing dimes.
Shannon Sharpe
The chance say Jay Cinco looked like prime and Ocho.
Chad Johnson
What? Hold on. He look like me.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm just Ocho the man catching touchdown. He looked like Travis Hunter. He out there catching touchdown then picking it off.
Chad Johnson
Hold on, hold on. What they got to do with me?
Shannon Sharpe
I didn't see none of that from you. What they got to do with you is that Jay Cinco, he might be the real Ocho Cinco.
Chad Johnson
Okay, okay, but, but listen. They throwing him the ball all the time.
Shannon Sharpe
I see him picking it off. He played like Ed Reed.
Chad Johnson
Well, he wasn't picking up center field.
Shannon Sharpe
Going to get it.
Chad Johnson
Listen, you, you still. I'm trying to understand what you want me to do.
Shannon Sharpe
I want you to do more than what you did. I don't know what you need to do, but just do more what you did.
Chad Johnson
You know what that would take? That would take for me? Acting a goddamn fool on the sideline and saying, get me the ball every goddamn time.
Shannon Sharpe
You used to it, You've done it before. Do it again.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, and in real games on Sunday at 1 o'.
Shannon Sharpe
Clock. That's a real game. You making us look bad.
Chad Johnson
No, I didn't.
Shannon Sharpe
They might not invite us back to nothing.
Chad Johnson
No, they gonna invite us back.
Shannon Sharpe
No, they gonna invite you back. I ain't doing nothing. I ain't doing nothing that required me to do anything above a walk.
Chad Johnson
But listen, you know, you know, you know, you know, you got to understand is, is how I have to play it safe is the fact that they keep inviting to these things. I don't want to be. I don't want them to remember the old person because if it was the old Chad, I would have been snapping on the sideline. I don't want that because I want to keep getting invited to things like this to be able to have fun and enjoy myself.
Shannon Sharpe
Man. I remember I coached in that All Star game.
Chad Johnson
I can't make it about. I can't make it about me.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, I appreciate that.
Chad Johnson
I gotta be careful. Gotta be careful, man.
Shannon Sharpe
I coached in that All Star game in Indy. NBA All Star Game. That's with the celebs.
Chad Johnson
But hey, Cash not.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, yeah, I had Puka. I had Mike on my team. Jewel Lloyd.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Jennifer Hudson. Now Jennifer Huss was on the other team. But anyway, man, my knees are back hurt so bad. All that standing. I said I don't know how them coaches do it.
Chad Johnson
And you had anybody that could hoop, man. Puka. Oh, yeah, I forgot Puka know how to play.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, Micah. Micah had. Michael, had like 30 points, like 20 rebounds. Jewel Lloyd. We had a couple of Hoopers.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, we had a couple of. And you know, you need to see who that goddamn T. Higgins and Devonte Adams.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, yeah.
Chad Johnson
Oh, my God. Boy is nice.
Shannon Sharpe
That's how your boy used to.
Stephen Curry (voiceover)
Who?
Shannon Sharpe
Come on. Before I gave it up.
Chad Johnson
Don't do that. Don't do that.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, Joe.
Chad Johnson
Okay, you got. Yeah, you got. Show me some footage. I know you got. VHS tape. Show me some VHS tape.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, Joe, we ain't do. Hey, hey. We wasn't. We didn't record stuff like that.
Chad Johnson
So I have to. I have to go off your word because if I say. Hold on, let me tell you something. If I say I did something, if I say I did something, you can go to YouTube, you can go to Google and you can actually see it. You can.
Shannon Sharpe
You can see it based on. Based. Just based on you and how you add yeast to a lot of stores so they. They grow.
Chad Johnson
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I don't add yeast. And nothing. Anything I say I've done, I did. On Sundays, it's. You can Google it. NFL Films can provide you with any information you need. Any.
Shannon Sharpe
When I say.
Chad Johnson
Huh?
Shannon Sharpe
I wasn't always. I wasn't always. When I first got the league, I wasn't like this. You.
Chad Johnson
You was that size. How much you weigh when you played?
Shannon Sharpe
32 was my heaviest.
Chad Johnson
So what you weigh right now, like 51? Oh, I was about 232. I was about 230 in 2005 and2830.
