I don't know if you saw him dressed before the game, but he came dressed to play football. He came. He came dressed.
John Middelkoff
Oh, he was the one that came. Which one came like Frank Lucas?
Oscar Mayer Representative
That was Jalen.
John Middelkoff
Okay, okay. That was him.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Okay.
John Middelkoff
He came like Frank Lucas.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Hey, look like he looked like one of Detroit players.
John Middelkoff
Now you remember when Frank Lucas went to the Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier played.
Oscar Mayer Representative
In Madison Square Garden, exact same coat.
John Middelkoff
And hat, and he got his ass busted. They're like, hold on, yeah, who is that with that outfit sitting that close to the ring?
Oscar Mayer Representative
And that's exactly how he got caught up. Because they didn't have. They had no clue who he was until you decided to step out and be flamboyant.
John Middelkoff
Had that. I mean. Cause think about what that cost. That's probably 100. That was probably like 50, 50, 75,000 easy. Back in the 70s easy.
Oscar Mayer Representative
So do you know how much?
John Middelkoff
Imagine that's probably about 3, 200,000.
Oscar Mayer Representative
But that would. That was chinchilla now.
John Middelkoff
Yes.
Oscar Mayer Representative
You know how much chinchilla is today in today's market?
John Middelkoff
I'd have been chilly because I definitely wouldn't have had that coat on. I just been chill. Chilly.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Oh, don't forget the hat. Now the hat was.
John Middelkoff
Yeah.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Remember back in the day when my grandma. I'm talking about my grandma. When my grandma used to go to her go to church.
John Middelkoff
Oh, yeah, my grandma.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Them hats.
John Middelkoff
Yeah, them deacon. Them deacon asses.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Boy, ain't nobody want to see my grandma hat Game Boy. Nobody wants my grandma hat. Game Boy. She had all type of. She had all type of white, black, red. She had a dress and a hat for every dress and heel and a clutch. Play with it if you want to.
John Middelkoff
We put my grandma in the ground with a hat on.
Oscar Mayer Representative
For real.
John Middelkoff
She told my sister she wanted to be in her hat.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Right?
John Middelkoff
That's laugh. She had a hat, her sunglasses. Yeah, everything. Yes, yes, yes, sir.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Yeah. See my.
John Middelkoff
You never go see. I don't remember. And like I said, I've never. I've never seen my grandmother go to church without a hat. Yeah. Never.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Yeah.
John Middelkoff
And if she forgot it, you're gonna turn around and go get it. Yeah, very porter. Go have that hat on. Them old ladies. That was the thing. Old ladies wore hats back then, man. You know, deaconesses or the sister of the church.
Oscar Mayer Representative
And you know who had the best hat collection? The pastor. Wife.
John Middelkoff
Yes, absolutely.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Oh, she. Yeah, she came stepping every Sunday.
John Middelkoff
Deaconess. My grandmother was mother of the church. So, you know, they had to get out there. They had to get up there and they had to. They had to step.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Yeah.
John Middelkoff
But, yeah, so I. I was. What? I saw it on my feed. Ocho. On my ig.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Realize who it was.
John Middelkoff
I ain't playing no chitchel. I just, you know, I just scrolled through and I was like, damn, dude. Got on that Frank Lucas get up. Because it looked exactly. If I didn't know better, he went to say, hey, let me get the. Frank who? Frank Lucas. Right. Showed him a picture. Can you get me a coat and a hat look just like this?
Oscar Mayer Representative
And that's exactly like. Matter of fact, that's funny. When they tweeted when the bears. When the bears social media account tweeted it. I retweeted it back with a picture of Frank Lucas in the original picture.
John Middelkoff
Yes.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Standing with everybody with his wife and everything with a comparison to them. Like, well, ain't that about to be.
John Middelkoff
Yes, that's the exact ensemble.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Yeah.
John Middelkoff
And that thing long too.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Yeah, that thing was clean.
John Middelkoff
Oh, that thing long. Ocho. Michael Vick seems to be the next NFL player, former NFL player ready to make the jump into coaching. He's in discussion with both Norfolk State and Sacramento State to take over the head football coach. The biggest potential issue with Vick is that he has no head coaching experience or coaching experience at all at any level. No college, no pro, no high school coaching. Of the two jobs, Norfolk would give Vick the most time to find his sea legs, but like. But likely lacks the resources to build a true perennial contender. Sacramento State, on the other hand, has a proven history of recent success and the resources to surround Vick with experienced coaches who can help him learn the ropes faster but also have significantly more to.
Oscar Mayer Representative
I like the opportunity presented, especially the Norfolk job. Despite not having the resources, you know, that is where Bick is front. I think from a recruiting standpoint, players, young players, wanted to go play, play for Vic despite him not having the experience. I'm sure he would have, you know, a staff, people around him that would be able to guide him into. To finding the right ways to go about doing his job, even though he had no experience in it. There was one point, you and I, I didn't have experience in dating. So how did I. How did I learn? I had to get my feet wet. I had to go out there and date. You know, how do you learn to coach? You go out there and you do just that, you know, and you get better at the craft and studying and adhering to it and finding ways and studying others and understanding talking, conversations. Listen, you played in the NFL for years. You can make phone calls. You have the resources, you know, coaches, the head coaches you played for, that you can confide in that can help you in that journey if you decide to embark upon just that. I think both opportunities are awesome for Vic if it's something that he loves to do in order to coach, huh? You got to have a passion for that. You got to really have a passion and love for that. For one, uprooting your family, yo, for sure. Like Vic out there with me in Miami, you know, and having to commute to the west coast, you know, to be on Fox all the time. You know, maybe now he can find some love and some. And some consistency in being in one place, you know, instead of having to travel back and forth. And if that love and that passion for coaching is there, I'm all for it. And I love it. I love the opportunity for him because Michael Vick loves some Goddamn football. He loves it, you know, and the knowledge that he has to pass on to the younger generation that can still relate to him because he's not that far removed from the game is dope. It's really dope.
John Middelkoff
Yeah, that.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Hey, listen, listen. Me and you on the same page. It ain't about me having the patience. It's the fact that my body is still willing and able. And if you put me in any environment when it comes time to competing or challeng each other and anything competitive, my dumb ass gonna be in the way. I'mma be in the way.
John Middelkoff
Your mind is able.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Even if my body ain't able, your mind is able. They're trying to show them how to do it, my dumb ass.
John Middelkoff
Yeah, hey.
Oscar Mayer Representative
All in the way.
John Middelkoff
Hey, this is what you do.
Oscar Mayer Representative
You can't, you can't. This is what I. I can't coach at any level. I just can't. Because I'm gonna be in the way. Because the problem is I think I can still do it. My mind is telling me what to do. My mind knows what to do. Now I'm not sure if my body's going to register what my mind is telling me to do. What I used to do back in 05 and 06 and 07, hey, I feel like I can. And as far as I'm concerned, I can still do it. And I still look the same. Hell, I think I can still play today.
John Middelkoff
Amon Rob St. Brown brought pro suits for the entire live receivers room. Ocho, what's the best gift you've gave, you've ever gave or gift you received in the locker room?
Oscar Mayer Representative
Hey, that's a good one right there, un. I ain't, I ain't really, never, never really received no gifts like that. Especially, you know, during our time. We didn't have enough, we didn't win enough. Un where gifts were really needed, you know, we. We didn't win enough, you know, during my time outside of one season. And I think if, if we won enough, then gifts would have been passed out for, for certain positions. You know, I was able to reach this milestone because of y'all, because of this specific group or me giving Carson something nice because, you know, we were able to.
John Middelkoff
Carson didn't buy the offensive line because.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Normally the office quarterback always, especially for that 2005, that 2005 season. I can't remember what Carson bought, but I'm sure he bought that offensive line something because. Oh, but our offense was unbelievable that year. I don't know what the hell was happening that year. But if there was something, you know, I can't remember obviously because it's been too long, but I remember Carson buying something to follow the offensive lineman for what they, for what they had been doing. You know, that, that season that we, we were on fire offensively.
John Middelkoff
I, my 93, I was first team all pro. I was named starter of the. I was a starting tight end for the AFC and I had a ten thousand dollar if I made the Pro bowl bonus.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Right. Right.
John Middelkoff
And I went and bought the offensive lineman. I bought them all Rolexes. Stainless steel Rolexes.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Whoa, wait, hold on now.
John Middelkoff
Yeah. Wait.
Oscar Mayer Representative
How much was the Rolex? The price point of the.
John Middelkoff
It was like 25. Like it was stainless steel. Like 2500.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. I was getting ready to say because you got me thinking about Rolexes today. And, and I'm thinking about damn, that's 60, 60, 000 a piece.
John Middelkoff
Over here. Talking about. And she ain't never had a watch on a day of life. Not an Apple watch, not a Mickey Mouse where you watch it. I've noticed. I've noticed. I've known this woman nine years. I've never seen Ash with a watch out. Hey, as. What time is it? This is what she does. 9:39. Look at, look at a phone. Yeah. That's why, I mean most people, a lot of people tell time.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Oh yeah.
John Middelkoff
Really? I don't think I. Because I've always have a watch on. Yeah. So unless I'm working out. Yeah. But I, I don't really ever look at, look at my phone to get the time. I just look, look down at my wrist.
HubSpot Representative
Yeah.
Oscar Mayer Representative
You know.
John Middelkoff
Yeah, but, but that's. I mean I've never, I'm trying to think, did I do anything else though? Nah, that was it. And I was like, Damn, that little $10,000 would have came in handy.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Yeah.
John Middelkoff
It was gone. It was gone.

This is John Mittlekoff from Three and out with John Mittlekoff. Picture this. You're in the garage, your favorite room in the house, and you're tuning up your engine with parts you found on ebay. Every piece is just locking perfectly into place. You step back to admire your work, hands covered in grease. And because you're committed to driving that thing further than the odometer can even handle, you start thinking to yourself, you know what? I could probably use some new brakes, some shocks and struts. This baby deserves a new air filter. So you head right back to ebay. You can find any part you need. It's unreal. From wipers and headlights to cold air intakes, exhaust systems, and even that turbo you've had on your mind. Ebay is that stock garage of your dreams, and you've got ebay guaranteed fit. Because eBay knows DIY fixes can be major and mods are also intense. So you need to know those parts are guaranteed to fit every time before you dive in wrench first. And in the off chance you order a part and it doesn't fit, send it back. Simple as that. You know what you love more than the car itself is driving it. You're serious when it comes to engine maintenance and locked in when you're headed into a build. And that's exactly why you start with ebay. Minor fix or complete overhaul. You want to get your ride back on the road. And you've got ebay guaranteed fit. So ebay created my garage, where all you had to do is add your ride's info to get exact parts that fit. When you see that green check, you're a click away from that part, clicking perfectly into place. So now that you know all that, imagine standing at that open garage door, looking at the car you love more than anything, knowing that anything is possible, whether it's keeping it on the road forever or turning it into something that's never been on the road before. Because with ebay, your garage just got a whole lot bigger. Get all the parts you need at prices you'll love. Guaranteed to fit every time. Ebay things people love.
The Bengals. Ocho you guys still have a milks chance. 2%. This is how the Bengals get into the playoffs. The Bengals need to win out. Need the Colts to lose one of their next three games. They need the Dolphins to lose one of those.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Broncos gotta lose out.
John Middelkoff
They need the Broncos to lose out.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Can you do me a favor? Can you tell me, the Broncos. Broncos next three games. Now, do they need to lose every game?
John Middelkoff
Yep.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Yeah. I. I know what I mean, but I just. I just don't like the Broncos are playing. So I don't see them losing out. Now, some of the other other.
John Middelkoff
They play, y'all they got. They play y'all they got. They play third tonight season with the Chief.
Oscar Mayer Representative
That's for one. I'mma tell you right now, when the Bangles play the Broncos, we finna beat y'all ass. And when we go on the show that night, I don't want to hear you say foot or ball at all. I'm telling you right now.
John Middelkoff
Who y'all. Who y'all got? Who they got?
Oscar Mayer Representative
If I'm not mistaken, I think y'all got the race.
John Middelkoff
Do y'all know y'all replace. Y'all got the Steelers close off with y'all got the Steelers, the Broncos.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Oh, yeah. We. Hey, hey, you talk about a 2%.
John Middelkoff
Chance, y'all gotta get 2%. There's a whole milk Steelers.
Oscar Mayer Representative
There's a whole milk chance that we go to the playoffs and we squeeze in a little wild card spot. I'm telling you. I'm telling you. I believe. I believe in my Bangles. I believe in us because of number nine. I believe in us because of Uno and goddamn T. Higgins. Now, our issue, which has always been especially this goddamn season, is our defense. They happen to be our Achilles heel this year. I'm not sure why. I'm not sure why. I don't know what's going on, but if we happen to get into the playoffs, I don't know what we going to do defensively. I know what the hell we going to do offensively. I know a one in five going to give us. I know what Chase Brown going to give us. I know one thing. We got to score 50. We got to score 50. It makes it. Other team score 45. That's it.
John Middelkoff
All I know, we gonna go ahead and see what we're gonna put y'all out.
Oscar Mayer Representative
So if y'all be the charges, that mean we out completely and no other circumstances.
John Middelkoff
Done. Kaput. Nah, but see, those are the scenario. Y'all need all of those scenarios.
Oscar Mayer Representative
You know what? I. I don't. I don't. I honestly, I don't. Just the thought of it, like, it could be another episode of me being emotional on camera again. And that's something I don't think I can take being I can.
John Middelkoff
I like it. Hey, hell, dog. Oh, hell, I like it like that. Ocho Patrick Mahomes ankle sprain overshadows the Chiefs win versus the Browns. Mahomes left the game with an ankle injury with less than eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, which was later determined to be a sprained ankle. Back up. Carson Wentz came into the ball game to finish for the chief Andy Reid. Head coach Andy Reid said it's a little sore. It's literally day to day. He probably could have come, could have come back in, but he wanted, he wanted to go back in, but there was no need for that. Mahomes will have more tests on the ankle of Monday. If I'm not mistaken, Ocho, they play Saturday at home against the Houston Texans and then follow that up on Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Oh. So I just thought they talk about 3p. They just gotta hope that Mahomes can finish healthy.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Oh, yeah, listen, the office of line play. No disrespect to the players offensive line play there has been bad all season. Huh? That ain't nothing new. It's been bad all year. It's been abysmal all year. And there's nothing that, there's nothing that they can do. Mahomes can't complain. I mean, there's, I mean, who you gonna complain to? You got, you got to play through it and just hope at some point, you know, you have the right schemes, you have the right game plans and what you can do. But still it's not working. It's not working.
John Middelkoff
You know what they possibly can.
Oscar Mayer Representative
I think Mahomes should relax on Saturday. Relax? The Houston game. Who's the backup? Who's the backup again? Carson Wentz. Oh, see, yeah. Carson Wentz has enough, enough cachet, you know, and he, he knows how to win and manage a game. I would let Carson wins, take over this Saturday against the Texans and let Mahomes come back on Wednesday. What you think? I mean, I'm just. I mean that's, that's, that's just how I feel.
John Middelkoff
It's going to be interesting to see Buffalo. I think Buffalo has an easy schedule. Easier of the schedule. If you say that they got the page. They got the Patriots twice. They got the Eagles. Excuse me. The Patriots twice. They got the Jets. And then who else do they have? I know they got the Patriots twice, the Jets. Is that it? The Bills, Patriots twice, Jets. That's it. So they got the Patriots. They got the Patriots twice in the Jets.
Oscar Mayer Representative
But you know what's funny? That could be a trap game boy, anytime you play a divisional opponent.
John Middelkoff
What that.
Oscar Mayer Representative
You don't think so?
John Middelkoff
Have you seen the Patriots play? Have you seen the Patriots? Okay. Ain't no trapping. Right. They better hope. They better hope Buffalo get trapped in Buffalo. That's the only trap they can't get out.
Oscar Mayer Representative
The Patriots come out there and do something crazy for four quarters and stumble upon a win. It happened all the time. I don't know why it happened like that, but it just happens all the time.
John Middelkoff
Right.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Especially with a team that's been dominating the way Buffalo is.
John Middelkoff
And Kansas, Kansas City, Houston at home, Pittsburgh on the road, Denver on the road. And Denver's playing really, really well.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Yeah.
John Middelkoff
You don't remember they ended up blocking the field.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Guys been on, on the. She sat all season long, man.
John Middelkoff
Yeah. Yeah. And here's the thing.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Yeah.
John Middelkoff
Because Buffalo beat Cheese head to head. If they finish with the same record.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Buffalo, that ain't really somewhere I would want to play. Half home field advantage anyway. Honestly.
John Middelkoff
Yeah. For me, this Buffalo looks different because even last year, Josh still turned the ball over a lot.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Yeah.
John Middelkoff
And he put the ball in harm's way a lot. He hasn't done that this year. Now remains to be seen come playoff time. Pressure ramps up, expectations ramps up. Especially if he continues to play like this. Ocho. Yeah. I think it's a two horse race between he and Lamar Jackson for the mvp. Pittsburgh did a job. They kind of hurt Saquon's right. Excuse me, MVP chances. So I think it's a two horse race between Lamar and, and, and, and, and Josh Allen. Josh is playing extremely, extremely well. What? I think he has what, he has 12, 10, 12 rushing touchdowns. He has another 25 passing touchdowns. Lamar is playing out of his mind, though. Lamar had five touchdowns today.
Oscar Mayer Representative
I missed that.
John Middelkoff
So he's probably what, 33 and 3.
Oscar Mayer Representative
He was balling. I was on the plane.
John Middelkoff
Yeah, he was 30. He was. Yeah, he had five. He had, he. He had about 290 yards passing, five touchdowns. So I think it's out of those two. But Josh just keeps doing it so many. I mean, it's every week. I mean, we saw what he did last week. He's the first guy since 1954 to throw for three touchdowns, rush for three touchdowns. He backed that up with two touchdowns, another two touchdown rushing, another two touchdown passes passing. And he's kind of been doing that the entire season. And so it's going to be very, very interesting. I really think it's a two horse race. I don't think anybody else is in the conversation currently. That's just me personally. Now somebody might say, well, what about this guy? What about that guy? I think it's a two Horse race now, and I don't see anybody knocking Josh Allen off the Eagle. The Patriots, I don't see it. Now, like you said, they could rise up and play unbelievable, still lose, but suppress some of Josh's numbers. But if he doesn't. I just don't see the Eagle. I just don't see. Excuse. I keep saying Eagle, the Patriots, I just don't see. Without him turning the ball over, I just don't see how they score, have enough offense.
Oscar Mayer Representative
You right. You right about that, man. Golly, man. It just. Something about them games late in the season, I'm telling you. Especially when it comes to divisional games, it get tricky. It get real tricky, even. Listen, Buffalo is playing really, really well. I don't know what it is. It happens. I see it. We see it every year.
John Middelkoff
Late in the season, Brock Purdy reportedly seeking a contract. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Oscar Mayer Representative
He don't even top of the quarterback a year at all, but go ahead.
John Middelkoff
All I know is I ain't get him Nowhere near no 50 million. I'll give you one of them on 35. 40 million.
Oscar Mayer Representative
What you think he gonna say? What you think he gonna say to that? No.
John Middelkoff
Okay. Play on. A play on. Guess what?
Oscar Mayer Representative
What?
John Middelkoff
We'll put you on. We'll put you on what you call it for two years.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Oh, he gonna bet on himself Like Kirk Cousins.
John Middelkoff
Yes. Okay, let him bet. You always hear the story of everybody.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Betting where they lose.

What about them Snake Eye stories? There's a reason why those windows don't open in Vegas. You notice that, Ocho? You in the. You in the casino. Don't none of the rooms open. Those windows don't open. Duty. You. You ever ask yourself why these rooms don't open? I want to get some fresh air.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Talky talk.
John Middelkoff
You ain't finna take the easy way out.
Oscar Mayer Representative
You know what?
John Middelkoff
They might be stolen.
Oscar Mayer Representative
They might have no choice but to pay Purdy. Cause, listen, you don't want to pay him what he worth or what the market says he should be paid. Where else you going? At the quarterback position. You have no one to replace them. You don't have no choice.
John Middelkoff
I'm not paying him no $50 million.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Listen, they had a choice not to pay Daniel Jones.
John Middelkoff
Okay? What did they pay? What did Tampa. What did Tampa play? Baker Mayfield. 40.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Okay, okay, 33. I said three years. Have a. A Baker Mayfield type contract. Okay, okay, okay. Yeah, that's feasible. That's feasible. I'm not sure he's. He would even complain about that.
John Middelkoff
He would. I'm not giving him no 50 million. That ain't happening.
Oscar Mayer Representative
I don't know. That quarterback position is very, very, very, very important. And sometimes if you want it bad enough, you will overpay for it.
John Middelkoff
49Ers will not release Devondre Campbell. 49ers are pursuing a max suspension, so Campbell doesn't get paid. Since he is a vested player, if they were to release him, he still gets the remainder on his contract. So if they suspend him, they get to withhold that. Now, that's something they're going to have to run by the league for the amount of time that they can. Suspended. I'm thinking they're going to say conduct detrimental. Detrimental. I, I. Yeah, I would, too. You think I was. Hold on. So you want them. You want them to release it?
Oscar Mayer Representative
One thing about it, boy, I wish I. They want to hit you where it hurt. They want to hit you and take what they think you value most. That money. Yeah.
John Middelkoff
Ocho.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Yeah.
John Middelkoff
Dre Greenlaw got Nick. He's the backup. So what did he do? Right. He was where it hurt. We needed a body. He wouldn't go in the game. Fair is fair. Even swap, ain't no swimming. You hit me where it hurt, I hit you with hurt. We both hurt. Yeah. I don't care if we both blind.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Did he. Did he come out and apologize or anything? Did he say anything? Did he talk to the team or.
John Middelkoff
Man, I don't want to hear what he got to say because everybody talking about, well, you don't know what that man was going through. So I just want to know, was he going through it before the game or did it happen during the game? Because he. If he was going through something before the game, take your ass to Kyle Shanahan. Go to a, a Lynch, John lynch, who's the general manager, said, man, look, man, I got a lot on my mind tonight. I got, you know, my family, blah, blah, blah, X, Y, and Z. He got mad because they activated Dre Greenlaw and he went from a starter to a backup. That's why he got mad. We gotta stop, Ocho. We got to stop making excuses. We try to. We try to excuse everything that a.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Person who tried to make that you.
John Middelkoff
Don'T know what he was going through.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Oh, wait, hold on. If you're in the middle of a football game, don't nothing else matter what's going on on the outside, because in between them lines, that's your outlet, that shows the piece. That's your job.
John Middelkoff
What? Right. So it. So it just happened. So whatever he had going on, Ocho, it just reared his ugly head when he put the pads on. And at the third quarter when Dre Greenlaw got hurt. So it didn't happen. It didn't happen before the game, not on the way to the stadium, he get a call, hey, something's going on with the fam. Blah, blah, blah. It didn't happen. Once he got to the stadium and an hour before the kickoff, it happened. It just so happened he started going through something the moment they needed him to step in the game for Dre Greenlaw, that's when he. That's when you don't know, Shannon, what.
Oscar Mayer Representative
He was going through. Whatever I'm going through, whatever I'm going through in life, I know once I walk in that stadium and I walk in that locker room, whatever I'm going through in life, it stays on the outside until the game is over.
John Middelkoff
Once you make that decision, Ocho, once you make that decision that you show up, you gotta show out. You can't, Ocho. Now, like I said, if he has this going on before Ocho, it just so happened. It's funny. Don't you find it funny, Ocho? Whatever he started going through, it happened the moment Dre Greenlaw went down.
Oscar Mayer Representative
I like how he just put that. That was nice.
John Middelkoff
Oh, now I wonder had he been going, if Dre Greenlaw is inactive, I wonder if he's still going through that same.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Not at all.
John Middelkoff
So the 49ers are well within their right, and that's the whole thing. Oh, I ain't got no problem if you got. If you work a regular nine to five, right, you just cannot show up. Well, I was going through something. Call your supervisor, call your boss, let somebody know. Man, Ocho hit me up a. Ocho not going to be able to make it today. He called me. He said he didn't have your number, but he wanted me to let you know that he had something going on at home. He had a personal issue that he got to deal with. He's sorry he wasn't able to tell you. You just not going to show up on the damn job, man. F that job, bro. There's a common decency. There's a common courtesy that you and I'm not saying people don't have things, but you mean to tell me you don't have the common courtesy, the common decency, Right? Decency to just call and say, hey, I'm not gonna be able to come in today.
Oscar Mayer Representative
That's crazy work, bro. That's crazy work.
John Middelkoff
Man. I, I, I just don't. I just don't get God Small Business.

I could probably use? Some new brakes, some shocks and struts. This baby deserves a new air filter. So you head right back to ebay. You can find any part you need. It's unreal. From wipers and headlights to cold air intakes, exhaust systems, and even that turbo you've had on your mind. Ebay is that stock garage of your dreams. And you've got ebay guaranteed fit. Because eBay knows DIY fixes can be major, and mods are also intense. So you need to know those parts are guaranteed to fit every time before you dive in. Wrench first, and in the off chance you order a part and it doesn't fit, send it back. Simple as that. You know what you love more than the car itself is driving it. You're serious when it comes to engine maintenance and locked in when you're headed into a build. And that's exactly why you start with ebay. Minor fix or complete overhaul? You want to get your ride back on the road, and you've got ebay guaranteed fit. So ebay created my garage where all you had to do is add your ride's info to get exact parts that fit. When you see that green check, you're a click away from that part, clicking perfectly into place. So now that you know all that, imagine standing at that open Garage door. Looking at the car you love more than anything. Knowing that anything is possible, whether it's keeping it on the road forever or turning it into something that's never been on the road before. Because with ebay, your garage just got a whole lot bigger. Get all the parts you need at prices you'll love. Guaranteed to fit every time. Ebay, things people love.
Ocho, what a game it was in Motor City. Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills go on the road and beat a team that had won 11 straight games. In Jerry Goff and Detroit Lions, 48 to 42. The team the highest scoring game this year. The team combined for 90 points. A thousand and eighty total yards, 12 total touchdowns. Josh Allen was sensational again. 430 total yards, four touchdowns, two in the air, two on the ground. Jerry Goff was equally as impressive, but not nearly enough. He had 507 total yards and five touchdowns. No interceptions. Remember, Ocho, it's funny how the NFL work. You remember that game? He had five interceptions and they won. He had five touchdowns, no turnovers and they lose. That's just the way it goes. Buffalo raced out to a 14 nothing lead on Josh Allen on two. Touchdown, two Josh Allen TD runs and they never look back. Buffalo. They good, Ocho. The only, the only thing that I question is Dan Campbell calling an onside kick with 12 minutes left in the ball game. You're having a hard time stopping them. I'm not giving them a short field.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Right.
John Middelkoff
The last thing I'm going to do is give him a short field. Ocho, they give him the short and you had the momentum. Now you give him a short field and now they go up. They go up by another score and you're fighting an uphill battle. But 48 to 42. I had some concerns about Detroit and that defense and it's starting to show its head a little bit. Ocho. No. Now look, Josh Allen's not an easy guy to sack. He's not an easy guy. Getting his big ass on the ground is the tough part. Yeah, absolutely is. But this was a very. If you wanted points, ta da. Here it was 48, 42. And remember, they lost the game last week. 44, 42. So they scored, they scored 90 points in the last two weeks. Good, good. Love that.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Yeah, most definitely. Most definitely.
John Middelkoff
Oh, we gave up 86.
Oscar Mayer Representative
From a fan perspective, they enjoyed this game. If you're a Buffalo fan, if you're a Lions fan, this is a game that you look forward to having even if you want to lose an end Maybe not so, but the fact that, you know, you can put up these kind of points against good teams says now we need to work on the other half. You goddamn defense. 40 point. They put up 90. Some point. What, 80. 80 something. Together.
John Middelkoff
They gave. You talking about. You talking about Buffalo? Buffalo scored 42 last week. They scored 42 this week. They gave up 44 last week to the Rams. They gave up 42. Now, both times they were on the road. Now, I mean, you know, you're on the road, but you're gonna have to play a little better because it doesn't look like unless something happens with Kansas City, it's going to be tough for you to overtake them because you're. Two games. There's two games clear.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Hey. Okay. For some reason, I just had this feeling. It's the. It's the Bills year. It's the Bills year. Josh Allen is playing very, very well. Very well. And if he happens Chiefs again in the playoffs at some point, at any point, I think this is the year that they finally beat them. Josh Allen's playing out of this world. He's playing out of his mind again. Early in the season, obviously, I had Lamar Jackson as my mvp, but as of the past, what, maybe three, three, maybe four weeks, Josh Allen put that cape on, man. He was Clark Clinton at the beginning of the season. Now he's Superman. He's playing just like Superman. And what they're doing offensively with no superstars that we did, there are no bonafide superstars over there in Buffalo. You know, you have very good, adequate role players that are doing their job very, very well.
John Middelkoff
Yeah, they run the football really well. 34 rushes, 197 yards, 14 rushes, 105, 2 touchdown for James Cook, 11 carries for 66 yards, 2 touchdowns for Josh Allen. And I think that's the thing that when the voters look at it, say, hold on. He lost Stefon Diggs, who's a Pro bowl player. He lost Gabe Davis, who's a very. Who's a very good receiver. You look at what they lost defense, both of their safety, Trevarius White. Excuse me, Trevarius White.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Yeah.
John Middelkoff
And he's doing this. The only difference I see with Josh Allen this year, no, in the pre. In the previous years, he's not turning it over. That's. That's the biggest difference. He's been this, y'all. Yes, he's been averaging, putting up 350 and 400 yards of total offense, but he gets himself into trouble when he turns the ball. Over when they're going in to score. And he throws an interception in the end zone, and there's a touchback. He fumbles in the red zone. When they're going to get points. That is the biggest difference in which I see with this team. Plus, those guys aren't in his ear. Now, they scored 48 points. And if I'm looking at this, if my thing shows me correctly, I don't see Cooper with a target. Amari Cooper didn't get a target and they dropped 48. Now, if somebody else didn't get a target last year, we know what's going to be transpiring. So now he's the unquestioned leader of the entirety of the team. It's peace. Look at the way he's playing, Ocho. He doesn't force. He look now he did force one. He's rolling out of bounds. Ocho and he throw back to the middle of the field. And he almost got it.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Pick.
John Middelkoff
I'm say, Josh, wow.
Oscar Mayer Representative
He go. He gonna beat him a little bit. You're gonna be him.
John Middelkoff
Yeah, he is. And so they. They look, your defense is going to. If you. If you get the Buffalo Bills, your defense best. Best be on their best behavior. Cause that's not an anomaly. Now, I'm not saying 48, but if you go back and look at it, they've got, what, eight straight games with at least 30. They're probably averaging 30 a game. I think it's them. I think they're nip and chuck right there with Baltimore, but they might have overtaken Baltimore, the highest scoring team in the NFL. Are they one? Are they two? Because I know Baltimore, Detroit and them, they were right, right there. But I think after these last two games, I think Buffalo's overtaking them. But hey, boy, you gonna have your hands full. Because this team offensively, and they got. They got like, Ocho, it's just like, oh, you got Shakur doing his thing that he's so hard to get on. I mean, Josh is just so hard to get on the ground. And then you gotta worry about his legs, because now, Ojo, I can't really rush like I want to, because if I run past him, he's gonna jump out the window. If I don't keep, if I keep, if I let him get outside of the pocket, he can throw on the move and he still can go get me a first down, even if it's third and 15. So it's so hard to defend him. You just hope that he makes some mistakes. He gets anxious and he starts and he turns the ball over. But if he's calm, like he's been playing like the last.
Oscar Mayer Representative
If anything, especially with knowing that he's a dude threat, you got to take your DNS and bring your ass up field and keep contained and. Yeah, and keep contained and level your ass off. Now, if you have a spy, you know, because he's the dual threat quarterback, you got to have a spy tell your style. You got to keep your discipline. Keep your discipline. If he runs, just make sure you bring him down. You got to make the tackle, especially in man to man, because everybody back is turned. Everybody back is turned. And you is our last savior.
John Middelkoff
Yep. And like deep the end when you. When you get like. Okay, you see where he is? He's. He's back there in the pocket. He's about 7 to 8 yards. Once you get that point now, you gotta level off. Don't you run your ass by him trying to try. Oh, I'm. No, no, no, no. Don't do that.
Apple Card Representative
Bye.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Bye.
John Middelkoff
Cause all he's gonna do is step out. He gonna step out the window on you.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Yeah.
John Middelkoff
And like you said when you got your back turned, now, good luck with that. But he is. He's a big. He. He's playing extremely well. The guys are making plays for him. Coleman came back today, had a big catch. Kincaid is finally back. He's making catches. Shakura is his safety blanket. James Cook, you know, catching out of the backfield. Look, they're really good. They're a really good football team. They're playing extremely well right now. Is there a team in the AFC that has the possible weapons that what Detroit had or the Rams have? Because I haven't seen it consistent. We know the Ravens give it. Give or take. Yeah. Lions are first and points scored, second in total offense. Bill's second in point score, eighth in total offense. They keep playing like this, and they're gonna be first and toy. They're gonna be first in points, be first in point score. But they have. They have a team that's. That's. That's really good. Like I said, I didn't agree with Campbell. With 12 minutes left in the game, Ojo kicking that.
Oscar Mayer Representative
That's been.
John Middelkoff
That's. Yeah, I don't agree with that.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Always been who he is.
John Middelkoff
I don't agree with that.
Oscar Mayer Representative
Listen, he has some big cojones, and he wears them. Matter of fact, he walks down. He walks on the sideline with a wheelbarrow with his nuts in the wheelbarrow. And that's how he coaches. That's how he plays. He goes for it on four down. He goes for you. He does onside kicks and his players believe in him. He believes in his players and I think that's why he makes some of the calls that he makes that most most players, I mean most players and analysts and punish like yourself just wouldn't this wouldn't you just wouldn't agree with based on the situation, the volume.
John Middelkoff

Release Date: December 18, 2024
Host: Shannon Sharpe

Overview
In this episode of Club Shay Shay, NFL legend Shannon Sharpe delves into significant NFL topics, including Patrick Mahomes' recent ankle injury, quarterback Brock Purdy's pursuit of a lucrative contract, and the ongoing MVP race featuring Josh Allen. The conversation is marked by insightful analysis, passionate opinions, and notable exchanges between the host and guests.
Timestamp: [22:43] - [24:12]
The episode opens with a discussion about Patrick Mahomes' ankle sprain sustained during the Kansas City Chiefs' recent game against the Browns. Mahomes exited the game with less than eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, leading to Carson Wentz stepping in as the backup quarterback.
John Middelkoff highlights the situation:
"Mahomes left the game with an ankle injury with less than eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, which was later determined to be a sprained ankle." [22:43]
Oscar Mayer Representative critiques the Chiefs' offensive line:
"The offensive line play there has been bad all season. Huh? That ain't nothing new. It's been abysmal all year." [23:34]
Key Points:
Impact on Upcoming Games:
Mahomes will undergo further tests on his ankle, with upcoming games against the Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers raising concerns about his availability and the Chiefs' offensive stability.
Carson Wentz's Performance:
Wentz's ability to manage the game in Mahomes' absence was discussed, emphasizing the Chiefs' reliance on their backup.
Timestamp: [29:38] - [31:35]
The conversation shifts to Brock Purdy, the quarterback seeking a top-tier contract despite questions about his experience and performance.
John Middelkoff expresses skepticism about Purdy's contract demands:
"Brock Purdy reportedly seeking a contract. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa." [29:38]
Oscar Mayer Representative questions the justification for a high salary:
"He don't even top of the quarterback a year at all, but go ahead." [29:48]
John Middelkoff proposes a more reasonable offer:
"All I know is I ain't get him nowhere near no 50 million. I'll give you one of them on 35, 40 million." [30:03]
Key Points:
Market Value Debate:
The guests debate whether Purdy's performance justifies a high-value contract, with concerns about his lack of head coaching experience at any level.
Potential Contract Structures:
Suggestions include multi-year deals with performance-based incentives rather than exorbitant upfront salaries.
Timestamp: [46:03] - [52:15]
A significant portion of the episode is dedicated to the MVP race, featuring a two-horse competition between Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.
John Middelkoff outlines Josh Allen's impressive stats:
"Josh is playing extremely, extremely well. What? I think he has what, he has 12, 10, 12 rushing touchdowns. He has another 25 passing touchdowns." [27:04]
Oscar Mayer Representative praises Allen's transformation and leadership:
"Josh Allen is playing out of this world. He's playing out of his mind again." [46:34]
Comparative Analysis:
Discussions compare Allen's consistency, reduced turnovers, and ability to lead the Buffalo Bills offensively against Lamar Jackson's dynamic performance.
Key Points:
Statistical Superiority:
Josh Allen's dual-threat capabilities, combining both passing and rushing touchdowns, position him as a frontrunner for the MVP award.
Team Performance:
The Bills' offensive strategies, led by Allen, have resulted in high-scoring games, although defensive weaknesses remain a concern.
Voter Considerations:
The debate includes how voters weigh individual performance against team success, with Allen's consistent output giving him an edge.
John Middelkoff [22:43]:
"Mahomes left the game with an ankle injury with less than eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter..."
Oscar Mayer Representative [23:34]:
"The offensive line play there has been bad all season. Huh? That ain't nothing new. It's been abysmal all year."
John Middelkoff [29:38]:
"Brock Purdy reportedly seeking a contract. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa."
Oscar Mayer Representative [31:00]:
"I don't know. That quarterback position is very, very, very important. And sometimes if you want it bad enough, you will overpay for it."
John Middelkoff [46:34]:
"Josh Allen is playing out of this world. He's playing out of his mind..."
This episode of Club Shay Shay offers a deep dive into current NFL dynamics, highlighting the challenges faced by star players like Mahomes and emerging talents like Purdy, while also celebrating the exceptional performance of Josh Allen.
