Joe (Uncle Joe)
Fedora defends this throne with a sixth round TKO. Fedora told Jim Gray after the fight, I was working very hard for this fight. Keith always looked up to him. A hall of famer for sure. I just wanted to take my hat off to him. That's why I trained and worked so hard to. To prove to him that the world that I'm the best. 154. What the difference in fighting so well from the inside is using its reach. At this time, Fundora said it all came down to a motivational quote he read on Instagram. Birds use their wings to fly. So I thought I would use the whole wings. What? Ooh, he looked bad. Oo. What happened?
ISO Joe Johnson
I was embarrassed. Hey, Uncle Joe. I was embarrassed. Listen, obviously when you go into it, when you go into a fight, especially at this level, when is the one is the best in the game. Obviously Fedora only lost one fight to Mendoza, but you go in with a game plan. You feel each other out the first few rounds.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah.
ISO Joe Johnson
What you want to do next. When it came to Keith Thurman, whatever he had, whatever he had planned and dancing around, knowing you, you on 37 year old legs, understanding that's not going to last you. That's only going to last you so long. You got to get. You got to gain his respect. Soon as the fight started, Uncle Joe, you got the gain of respect. At no point in the fight was Fedora worried about Keith Thurman's power at all. Game plan. He came into the fight with Pandora, came out with a goddamn left and caught him right in the middle of the face.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
That was it.
ISO Joe Johnson
That was it right there. Yeah, that was it.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah.
ISO Joe Johnson
If you're gonna fight somebody that tall who the best thing you can do is fight at distance, smother the punches, fight on the inside.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
He did smother with his damn face. He smothered him. Before you go any further, you say, come out with a game plan. Hell, it looked like he crammed the night before the test. You know what I'm saying, Joe? He didn't study at all. I'm like, what the hell? I'm like, thurman, what the hell are you doing?
ISO Joe Johnson
Uncle Joe? It's one thing to understand what he should do. It's another thing to actually be able to execute it in the ring when with somebody that goddamn tall, that goddamn long pause. But you got to make a fight like that ugly against somebody like that, you got to make him uncomfortable because fighting that distance ain't it.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
No, not that man. That size.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, he was pinging him. He was pinging him all night using that jab, that southpaw. Hey, look, and that's what I'm trying to tell y' all because of the height disparity, Uncle Ocho.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
So that be similar to me and you boxing. You see how them. For real, you see them wild punches Thurman had to throw just to even try to connect one?
ISO Joe Johnson
Right, right.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Like, you know, and then he like, man, I gotta come up in here. So he had to take a couple lumps. Yeah. To the canvas, man.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah, it did.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
It did.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, look, that's why I hit you. That's why I hit you. After the fourth round, I said, oh, yeah, this man, he ain't gonna make it.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
He ain't gonna make it.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
I thought he was gonna get him in the seven. I said, he. By seven round, he gonna be out of.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Joe said he did. He did. He said. He said Thurman ain't looking good.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, but Joe. Hey, there's a difference though, Joe, you gotta understand. See, people ain't gonna make it that far.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
What?
ISO Joe Johnson
Joe, you ain't got the conditioning for that.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Hold on.
ISO Joe Johnson
You don't. You can't throw. You can't throw punches. And volume in the goddamn ring, Joe.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
That's all I needed for you to doubt me.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Can I tell you.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, hey, hey. You seen how Thurman was on that damn bicycle all night? That's how your ass gonna be at 37.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
You can't be on the bicycle. You ain't got them. That's a 20. That's a 27. 30 year old leg, not 37. Oh, that man was like what you're saying his game plan should have looked. I. I cannot. Ain't no way I'm gonna stand on the end of these damn punches. Oh, no, you better get your. Hey, come all the way in the house. You standing on the damn porch talking to that man. Hey, bring your ass in the house. Either get out, either get your ass off the porch or talk to that man from the road. Call him on the phone. But you better get your ass in that phone booth. Yeah. Hey, when I say this, you gotta take. You gotta take some of that pop. If you on the end of those punches, there's no way you gonna make it. It hurt. Hell yeah. But, oh, like you said, this man, I don't know what he thought. He walked right out there, that man hit him dead in the damn face.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, the first punch he threw was clean.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah, you know, normally. Normally they throw. They throw something, they just trying to feel you out. They're just trying to get their arms warm. They trying to get their arms loose. They ain't really trying to land nothing heavy. Man, I'll be damn if the man didn't walk right into a punch with a damn face.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Okay, Ojo?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah. He didn't look like it.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Didn't look like one time. Thurman was in great condition if you ask me. He didn't look like. He didn't look like he. I mean, I know he was in shape, but he.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
To.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
To be running how he was running.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah. Hey, hey, Joe. He got to do something. You got to do something. I mean, if you're not gonna make the fight ugly, your only other option is to build your bicycle and pick and choose when to go in there. Because every time you go in there, you're gonna take something going in.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
You remember the Jake Paul fight when he got on that bicycle?
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
You can't run on that bicycle like that. That ain't your game. I mean, do you understand how. How. How great a shape that you actually gotta be in to get on a bicycle and throw punches, man?
ISO Joe Johnson
I mean, at 37. At 37, you shouldn't be doing that. You've got to have a different game plan. If. If anything, Fundora lost to Mendoza. Right? Mendoza made the fight ugly. He made it ugly. And he wasn't on the end of those punches. He fought mid range, in close. It made it nasty.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yes.
ISO Joe Johnson
He made it nasty.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Thurman should have left this fight alone. But let's be all the way real. Ocho Burma should have left this fight alone.
ISO Joe Johnson
Think so?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
In the words of Teddy kgb, what he told me, this was no good for you. Hey, hey.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah. Two fights in the past six years.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah, man, he don't even look the same, I guess, because without the Braves, I'm like, man, what Thurman is this? No, straight up. Hey, he came out. He came out of that fifth round right after I hit y'.
ISO Joe Johnson
All.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
He gave a little flurry real quick. It was like a quick three piece after that. Mendoza, a. I mean, not Mendoza, Fedora. He got right back. Right back to that jab.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
But that. That's really the hard part, Ocho. And you know that as. As somebody that. That box is that. You know, as you get older, it gets harder to throw that volume of punches. You gotta be smart. You gotta be smart, but you gotta get the guy's attention. If you don't get his attention, if he don't think you can. If he don't feel that you. Your pop that you heard. You got any snap on those punches? He walking through those.
ISO Joe Johnson
You done. You done all you've done.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
You see the difference with Canelo and Bud? Oh, you see? Hey, he. Bud touched him. He like, I ain't walking up in here. I got to be careful. Hey, I tried the front door. Let me see if a window or a back door is unlocked. I ain't Coming in this damn front.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, hey. I understand what y' all saying, but when you look at the height disparity, bro, six' six, Uncle Ocho, like, he's probably what the tallest champion has been in a while
Joe (Uncle Joe)
at 154.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
That's what I'm saying. Who going to be able to challenge that man and be able to get in there and be able to really defeat him? That's going to be. Man, it didn't even look tonight. I could tell it was child's play.
ISO Joe Johnson
I can tell you one person joke.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Who?
ISO Joe Johnson
Charlo.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
You think Charlo can get in there and do something with him?
ISO Joe Johnson
Absolutely, because it has to.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
But Charlotte gonna have to be able to take some punches. Now.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
That's what I'm saying.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Because here's the thing though, Ocho, we saw part Charlo fight against Canelo and he felt Canelo power.
ISO Joe Johnson
I'm talking about the other Charlo, big Charlo.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oh, okay, look, Ocho, you remember Paul Williams? He's the only guy that I can remember that punches around. But you talk about big Paul, but he's like 6, 4. I'm talking about like, I think he was like 147.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I can't remember a guy at 54 this tall. Normally you get guys this tall, man. They heavyweights, they knock them down. 154, 147, man. Do you know, first of all, at 6, 6, 154, bro, you eat, you. You eating oatmeal and soup all day, every day, year round. You got a six, six frame. Ocho, you know how much weight you can put on a six, six frame?
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah, yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
So for him to make 154, he probably not. He. He's not a naturally big guy anyway. I would say at 6, 6, he's probably walking around it. Probably like 180.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
But still at the end of them punches, hey, if you don't get inside and make him shorten them punches and you gonna let him just snap off on him?
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah, he gonna kill you every time. He gonna pin you, gonna pick you apart. Hey, hey, hey, Joe. If he fights somebody that's. That's a. That's heavy handed, like a Charlo. That's the only person I could think of right now at 154, that would be a good fight because they were supposed to fight at some point. I saw the news about them fighting. It never happened. It never came to fruition. But if Charlo catch him with one of the best jabs in the business, he get that respect it's going to be a different ball game. And Charlo has no problem making it ugly and, and fighting on the inside.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, I know one thing. I know one thing. What's my man? Who, Fendor Thurman? Yeah, he better be thanking the referee tonight. Cause he was gonna be blue black tonight, partner.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Hey, I'm talking about, he about to get some serious.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
He finna hit the canvas. Yeah, it f be over. All that blood started leaking. He hollering about he tough. Yeah, tough. Hey, you boy better go sit down somewhere. Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Hey, yeah, and the thing, and the thing is, as a professional athlete, when you're in the fight game, because when that thing go, it go quick. You look bad in a hurry.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Especially because these guys are younger, they're stronger, they're faster. It's different now. Yeah, I understand. I understand. Fendor, he's. Everything that he said, he looked up to the man, and the man's gonna be a Hall of Famer. But I'm gonna beat your ass while you in here. And it gonna look good on my real. Guess what, Ocho? I beat Keith Thurman. I beat a former champion. Yeah, ain't nobody, when we talk about this, 15 years from now, ain't nobody gonna remember, man. Hey, like they said, Joe Lewis with, with a Rocky Barcelona, he was 100 years old. Hey, he beat him all day out. He might have been 62 years old, but he beat him. Yeah, you know what?
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
I also.
ISO Joe Johnson
I think the problem is, Joe, especially somebody like Keith Thurman and boxing in general, There's a thing called ring rush. And you, you haven't been in there so long. I don't care how much sparring you're doing, you. You've done or how many fights you've had to only have two fights in the past six years, you're not going to be the same, especially coming to the fight opponent like goddamn that caliber. Yeah, of that caliber, you know that, that's, that's shooting for the stars instead of getting some tune up fights before you go into a fight like that. And I think that's one of the reasons why he looked the way he did. He. He was overwhelmed by the time, by the time he got past that fourth round and figured out, well, damn, ain't nothing I'm doing is working. And when I do, when I do try to he lunging and jumping and like nothing is working.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah. Yeah, it was a rap. Hey, hey, hey. I wonder why such a long layoff. Was it a health condition that he had to have Surgery or something. What was it, Uncle Ocho?
ISO Joe Johnson
I. I don't know. I know.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I'm not really sure. Like I said, I hadn't heard. I hadn't heard from him in a while. Hell, I didn't. Because, you know, last time I heard somebody bring his name, what was Clarissa talking about? She could beat Keith Thurman, too. That was the last time I heard somebody mention his name. Ocho.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
And like you said, and I don't care what sport you play, you get good at said sport, doing said sports. All that practicing and all that sparring, and it's just like track and field. You can do all the block starts you want. You can do all the conditioning you want. You better take your ass to the meet. You better go to the Diamond League, the Prefontaine. You better go to the Drake. You better go and get competition against other guys, other young ladies. Gotta run this right here. Two fights in six years, and you come back and fight him. Nah, give me a tomato can. Give me something. I can open these. Give me something. I can just peel the top off. I ain't fooling with this dude.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, don't waste my damn 75 watching that. Come on, man.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah, I need a refund. I understand y' all had all them damn fights on there, but I need a refund. I need a refund. Cause I basically played 75 for that fight. So at least give me 45 back. I eat the 30.
ISO Joe Johnson
I thought it was gonna be a good fight, man.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Nah, I didn't.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Not.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Not after I seen Buddy. And probably after, like you thought it
Joe (Uncle Joe)
gonna be a good fight, that man come out there and, hey, if he bow.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
It ain't gonna be no good fight.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah, I. I knew. I knew something was wrong because you never get hit with the first shot, Joe.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah, not.
ISO Joe Johnson
Not at that level.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Huh?
ISO Joe Johnson
You never get hit with the first
Joe (Uncle Joe)
shot because he got a lead.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Look, y' all see, he gotta throw them wild punches just to even try to connect. So Buddy probably already ready for that. In order for him to hit Fundoza in his head, he had to throw something.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Wow. Yeah. He gotta. Yeah.
ISO Joe Johnson
Gotta jump.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
So once he opened up, he just caught him with that left flush.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oh.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
I said, oh, yeah. It's over with. He ain't gonna make it. He ain't gonna make it.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I was like, damn. And. And. And. And I'm looking at this and. And I'm like, really? I was like. I'm. I'm like. When I asked who. Who. Who looks worse, did Izzy or thermal look worse. Izzy look horrible.
ISO Joe Johnson
Wait, wait. Izzy for tonight too.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
That man knock out.
ISO Joe Johnson
You did serious. Wait. Adesanya Izzy.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yes. Adesanya Izzy.
ISO Joe Johnson
Damn, I'm so. I'm so focused on boxing.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I forgot Izzy was fighting Joe Pfeiffer.

Yeah, if you're a five, if you're a Pfeiffer fan, if you're a Piper. Yes, it was very exciting. He heavy handed Ocho.
ISO Joe Johnson
He must be really young then. He must be young. Young and upcoming.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Dc, dc. Like, I think this kid was the A kid. I mean, this fighter was like, he was ranked like 14th. So now after doing what he, he destroyed. I mean, he walked through him. He's 29. But is he on up there though? Damn, Izzy, I don't know. Is he ain't want to fight in a while?

Yep. Because it's like, I mean, it wasn't,
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I think, is it the last fight that he won, he beat Poutine Pieta. I think that might have been his last fight that he won.
ISO Joe Johnson
I mean, him and Pereira went back to back, right?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah, Pereira beat him and then he called Pereira and then he teed off on Pierre and knocked them out. That might have been the last fight that he won.
ISO Joe Johnson
Damn, man. I like, I like, I like him.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah. And the fake in the fake. Look, this, this is why you take your hat off the bones. John Jones. Hey, even at his age, he different, man.
ISO Joe Johnson
He different.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
He lost to the plants. He got defeated. He got, he got tko. I mean, so his. He got submitted, he got tko. He got Kotko in the second round. Second round, he got submitted. He lost the unanimous decision to Sean Strickland. He knocked out Pieta. So he hadn't won a fight basically in almost two years.
ISO Joe Johnson
My goodness.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
No, no. Yeah, three years. Almost three years. My bad. Three years. His last, his last win was April 8th of 2023.
ISO Joe Johnson
You know, I mean, and you know, it's funny, MMA, UFC is so much different than boxing as opposed to, I mean, losses and having losses on your record are acceptable in, in a sense because the sport is, is so much different. It's so much difficult, you know, to stay, to stay undefeated. Does that put a, a strain on, on, on people wanting to see him fight even though he's had losses back to back and hasn't won in a long time.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
You can lose, Ocho, but it's how you lose. And people don't like, bro, he got beat by. He got beat in on 20 and 25 in 30 seconds of the third. In the second round he got beat. Pfeiffer beat him in the second round, four minutes. He got submitted in the fourth round, a unanimous decision. Now he beat Pierre in the second round, but he, I mean, and he ain't got no belt, so it's only going 23 rounds. Because it's not a title fight.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
No. Ain't nobody gonna want to see that. Dana ain't gonna want to see that. Yeah, he's. He.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
He.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
He's one of the. One of the great fighters in the middleweight division. Right, but that's over. At least give me something.
ISO Joe Johnson
He's still a draw, though, no matter what.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Even if it was like, Volko, how he bounced back.
ISO Joe Johnson
Oh, he nice.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
He ain't bounced back.
ISO Joe Johnson
But I'm asking. He's still a draw, though, right, because of who he is? Based on the name.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah. But. But that. That's a Dana. Dana is.
ISO Joe Johnson
He made the call on that, huh?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah. I don't think he lets him go. He wants to see. But, I mean, he. But the thing is, is that if you're in the ufc, you don't fight no. Ain't no bombs. Them guys good?
ISO Joe Johnson
Oh, everybody.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
And they hungry, and they trying to use you as a stepping stone. It looks good on their resume.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Tko, Is it? Tko, is it submitted? Is it? I. I guess. I mean, it's probably hard to let it go, but this, for me, Ocho, this ain't a. This ain't a sport that you just hang around. Nah, you could get. You get hurt in this. Yeah, you get hurt. You. You get hurt in. In boxing and ufc, right?
ISO Joe Johnson
You don't want. You don't. You don't think you should hang it up. Should he.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I'm just trying to figure out who you think you're gonna be. The fight is getting younger. They're getting better, they getting stronger. You got to realize you can't. You're not as fast, you're not as strong. It's. The thing is. Oh, you know what it is about training? Because the training aspect of it is that when you younger, you can train harder, more. That's how you get better when you're old. Things eight and you. Like, you know what? I can't go as hard tomorrow as I could when I was younger, because I could go back to back to back. And, Ocho, you could change with intensity back to back to back. That's how you got better. Get older, man, I need a day or two off. Them young boys coming. They coming.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
That's why they say sports is a young man's game. It is.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah. Listen, unless you play. Unless you play a team sport where they can hide your weaknesses a little bit.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Boy. Hey, look here. It's kind of like going to jail when they close that door behind you, you for yourself. When they close that octagon gate behind you. Who. Who the hell you, Ocho, you.
ISO Joe Johnson
Are you on your own?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
If you want to come out there, they got to climb the fish. You got to come up out of there on your own. They ain't opening the gate. Same thing in boxing. When you go to that square, ain't no time out, ain't no. Hey, hey. Let Ocho get me for. Let me. Let Nocho take this play for me.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah, yeah. Hey, Joe, you hear that? Ain't nobody. Ain't gonna be nobody to help you. Ain't nobody. Nobody to save you, boy.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
What you mean?
ISO Joe Johnson
Once that. Once that bell go off, boy, it's gonna be. It's gonna be hell on wheels, huh?
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Oh, you. You talking about me and you or we just talking about in general and
ISO Joe Johnson
I'm talking about me on your ass. Oh.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Oh, I thought you had done left that alone.
ISO Joe Johnson
Oh, I ain't leave it alone, boy. You. Boy, you. You got.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
This is crazy, man. Look, what. Who the next big fight we got coming up?
ISO Joe Johnson
Wait, I mean, damn, what is the
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
next big fight you talking about? Like, real?
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, I got. I got one for you. Oh, Jaron Ennis Boots and Xander Zayas.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Who he.
ISO Joe Johnson
When they fight, man, I think June. Hold on. I'm gonna tell you right now. I'm gonna tell you right now.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
154. Hey, you want to see Boots in Fedora? Ocho?
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah, Xanazia.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
I don't know if I want to see that.
ISO Joe Johnson
They signed the fight in New York and the date. Oh, I don't. I don't see the date. Hold on.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Deontay next week. Oh, did Deontay Wilder fight next week?
ISO Joe Johnson
Ocho sign, seal and deliver. Damn. For real?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
No, he fighting now.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
What's this Chisora?
ISO Joe Johnson
I mean, this. This would be. This is gonna be a good bounce back win for him if. If he can win.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Damn. Did you hear what you just said, bro?
ISO Joe Johnson
Oh, why you look like that, man?
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Did you hear what you just said? What if he could win?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Fury fighting. They got some fights coming up on. Yo, Tyson Fury fight on the level.
ISO Joe Johnson
We got some good ones. We got some good ones.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, hey, but that Boots. That Boots and Xander, that's gonna be nice.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
You. Hey, Joe said he don't want to see. He don't want to see Boots in Fedora.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
No, not right now, Joe, man.
ISO Joe Johnson
Booster, wash him, boy.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, I'm paying big money for Boots. Don't. Don't get me wrong. I'm with Boots. I'm just saying, man.
ISO Joe Johnson
He A washroom door. That's a. That's a whole different type of skill set.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oh, no.
ISO Joe Johnson
No disrespect.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I'll pay to see it.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah, watching.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I pay to see it, I think. Ronda Rousey fight, huh? Carano.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
What's she doing? What kind of fighting she doing?
ISO Joe Johnson
Oh, she coming back.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Not in the ufc. It's another one mvp.
ISO Joe Johnson
Oh, they got their own league, huh?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yep.
ISO Joe Johnson
Oh, say he's trying to compete with Dana. Trying, but they got a long way to go for that.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah. Gotta start somewhere. Gotta take baby steps.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
But, yeah, this. These fights tonight. Chad. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry.
ISO Joe Johnson
Still trying to figure out how Izzy lost. Was it conditioning bad? He got. He ran out of gas.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Hey, Ojo, you ever cut grass? Yeah, if the grass ain't really thick. You ain't got to do this, right? He was running. Yeah, man, he ran through Izzy.
ISO Joe Johnson
Oh, so he didn't expect Izzy power, then? I ain't respect it. Damn.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Like action medicine. Anybody ever. Anybody ever take Egg slack, Serpent, Black draw, Phenomen. That's how that dude went through Izzy. I was like, well, damn. I mean, you gonna put up any res? Nope. It was bad. Ocho, they're boxing in the mma.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Different, bro.
ISO Joe Johnson
I mean, I think the. The strength of. Is, these game is.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Is.
ISO Joe Johnson
Is standing up, striking. Not. Not.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
That guy was a. He was a kickboxer, too. I mean, they say this record was like 75 and four in kickboxing.
ISO Joe Johnson
70.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
So, you know Izzy was a kickboxer also. Yeah, dude is a kickboxer who's much younger, much stronger. Man, Ocho, when you see this, see how this man did, is it, man, you go like, oh, man, I don't
ISO Joe Johnson
want to see that. I don't want to see that. I don't want to see it just. Just the fact that he lost it. Just because my. I. I envision, and I. I see Izzy in a different light with the fight.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Izzy got to stand up.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yes.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
What's that, dude? What? That dude took him down.
ISO Joe Johnson
It was a rap.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah. See, if. You know, if you notice, mma, a lot of this, these wrestlers are really doing good. Yeah, the wrestlers are kind of taking over, and that's what makes Jon Jones, because Jon was a wrestler, so now he can take you down, but he can strike. Yeah, Jon Jones got an 84 inch reach. He gotta reach like a damn seven footer. Yeah, he got elbows, he got knees. He. I mean, they say his. He don't have power in his hands. Like that. But he got enough to keep you up off him.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Okay.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
But then when he covered them knees and them elbows.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Night. Night.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, hey, hey.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
You.
ISO Joe Johnson
You know. You know MMA a little better than me. What made Khabib so good? I know his ground game was phenomenal.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
That's it.
ISO Joe Johnson
I know that because once he got
Joe (Uncle Joe)
you down, you couldn't get him up off you.
ISO Joe Johnson
He was the you.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
You getting taken down no matter what, period. And I'm talking to D.C. he said. He say, Shannon, the way these guys train over there.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
It's. It's hours on hours because there is. They're. They're dirt poor. They don't have anything. And their only way out is this. So if you want sheep, you want cattle, you want this? This is how you get it. So they throw everything. This all they do. You saw how once he got. I mean, if you can. If you cannot, everybody can fight, you know, for the most part, standing up or if they take somebody down.
ISO Joe Johnson
Right.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
But if you get taken down, can you get up? You remember the fight that we saw the other night once? That guy took him down to the ground. He stayed to the whole. Max Holloway.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
That guy took Max all the way down. Olivara Oliveira.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
And. And, and, and. And. And Holloway really never. He got back to his feet one time. Other than that. Once. Once Olivera took him down, he stayed. He stayed in the guard. The. The full guard of the cross guard for the entire rest of the rest of the round. Yeah. So three and a half, four minutes. That's where he was.
ISO Joe Johnson
You remember how we said that, that fight with Oliveira, Max Holloway, Remember how we all said it was boring?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah.
ISO Joe Johnson
So when Khabib fought, was Khabib fight born since his. Since his. His ground game. He was so efficient on the ground where his fights born. Or was it still exciting?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oh, he was. He was excited. He dumped it. I mean, he was submission. Now, you got to be careful. You saw what he did to Connor. Connor made one, and he got Connor down. He kept taking Connor down. And Connor made one mistake and he choked him out.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
And if you notice, when the referee tapped him to let him go, he didn't let him go because he had insult. He had insulted his family and his religion.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Oh, yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Remember he went over the top rock, went over the ring and kicked and jumped in.
ISO Joe Johnson
Okay, I remember seeing that. I remember seeing that on espn. I remember that. So he was dead serious.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, they take their religion serious. They take their family serious. Yeah, they. They. He was a devout. No, no, no. Some people, you know. You know, you joking. Like, you know, he said some things to Floyd and it was all cute. And, you know, Connor can sell a fight. He's very entertaining. He has the gift of gab. Almost just as good, if not better than Ali.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Right.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
But he went a little bit too far. I'm gonna make him pay for everything that he said. I'm gonna make him pay.
ISO Joe Johnson
I like that. That's dope. Hey, hey, hey, Joe.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
What's happening?
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey. How you think I do again?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Khabib, in his last three fights, he won by submission. He submitted Justin Gaethje. He. He submitted Poirier. He submitted Conor.
ISO Joe Johnson
Well, God damn. Back to back, all three.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yep. And, uh, Connor was first in October. No, Connor was October 6, 2018. Poirier, September 7, 2019. Gaethje, October 24, 2020.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah. He never coming back, huh? We probably never know.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
He wasn't the same. And basically, he said his dad was in his corner once his dad passed.
ISO Joe Johnson
That's right. Pops did.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
So now his thing is, is to train the next Dagestani.
ISO Joe Johnson
Okay.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
And bring them up. Yeah, but no, no. Oh. But see, the thing is, he. He trying to get people up out of there. He know it. He know what he is. Yeah. Hey, I'm gonna get you on the ground. I'm gonna get your ass on the ground. Keep me off your neck. Keep me off one of these joints to keep me from tapping your ass out or submitting you.
ISO Joe Johnson
I don't want no part of that, boy. I don't want no part of that. Hey, Joe, what's your ground game look like?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oh, you didn't.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oh, Joe, that man, that Weber, like, 145. You can handle Khabib.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hold on. He doing all that kind of damage and he only 145.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah. You got him?
ISO Joe Johnson
I got. I got him. Huh?
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
He got who? Hey, don't let un hype you up, bro.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, hey, hey. You think we can get Khabib on the show?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I don't know if we can get Khabib. We probably can get one of those guys that he's training, like Islam or somebody like that. I don't know how. Well, how good of English that they speak.
ISO Joe Johnson
Can you do me a favor?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
What? That.
ISO Joe Johnson
Like, so we can. This is why we the best show, right?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah.
ISO Joe Johnson
So before we hop on the show, we can actually have content where I get in the octagon with them and. And we. And we spar and do ground game. For like, one round.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Let's try to make it like two minutes, because, you know, rounds are five minutes.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah, that's fine. That's fine. If I get up, I get up, but it'd be great content for the show.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
What Be great, Khabib. Hey, Khabib, was. Was tussling with D.C. for real?
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah. D.C. big, though.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I know he is.
ISO Joe Johnson
I think that'll be fun, though. I can, you know, I'm. I'm not. I get my ass whooped. It's fine. I get to tell y' all what it's like to be in there with one of the best.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Nah, that. But I, I. I just, like. I don't know.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
I don't.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I don't know where Eddie go from here. I damn sure don't know where Thurman goes from this. From here.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Might be a rap, huh?
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah, you think so?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Ain't look that good, but who you telling, Joe?
ISO Joe Johnson
I was. I was upset. I was upset because I was. I was excited to see the fight. I'm ready. I'm. I waited to the last minute. Do I really want to pay this 74? But it's. Listen, it's Keith Thurman. One time I got to support one of my favorite fighters of all time, and he just didn't look like what I was, what I'm used to seeing. And it had to be, you know, being off all that time and think you wouldn't come back looking the same.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah, you know, Hell, no. Who. Who taking that kind of time off? Who taking. I mean, if you think about it, Ali was in his. Ali was. Was a lot younger, and he missed those three years. He was never the same fighter
ISO Joe Johnson
when
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Vietnam happened, and he missed those three years. He couldn't fight anywhere.
ISO Joe Johnson
Right.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
He wasn't the same. Yeah, you robbed a man of three years of his prime. So I don't know.

Joe (Uncle Joe)
to happen because I think Ali won. He won the goal in 60 and 60 in Rome. So he had to be what, 18, 19, Vietnam happened. So 70. So he missed three years basically. 27, 28, 29, 30, something like that, you know.
ISO Joe Johnson
You know what's crazy, Uncle Joe?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
What's that?
ISO Joe Johnson
No matter how great you are in the sport, it's amazing how with time off, whether it be a year, two years or three years, how different you look once you go back into that sport.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah.
ISO Joe Johnson
No matter how long you've done it.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
You right, man.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hold on. Well, how the hell Jordan. What Jordan look like, Joe, in your comparison? Because y' all was better. Better suited to answer this than me. When Jordan left and went and played baseball, how close did he look to the old Jordan before he left?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
He. When he first got back? He wasn't even. He wasn't that. He dropped that double nickel in the garden. But he wasn't close. They steal the ball. He falling. He needed to get his legs up under. Yeah. Once he got his legs up under him.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Even that. Even that year. 96, 97, 98. He wasn't that Jordan from 84 to 91. That Jordan. That Jordan.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yes.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
But he put the time in when it came to.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yes.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Because he knew he wasn't in basketball shape when he came back. Ocho, what was it about mid season?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah, I think they had like 21 games left, Joe.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So when he came back.
ISO Joe Johnson
Came back in the middle of the season.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yes.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah, right. Like, not soon before the playoff started, Ojo, he came back, he sent a
Joe (Uncle Joe)
text, says, I'm back. He sent a fax, said, I'm back.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah. And they lost. That's when they lost to Penny and Shaq. Orlando Magic, okay. They had Horace Grant on his. On 18, and Horace Grant was, you know, putting it in his face. Next thing you know, he right back at it the whole summer. Ocho, he came back with Avengers partner.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Cause if you remember, Nick Anderson said, 45 ain't 23.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
That why he said. Yeah, he said that in the paper. He took that 45 off and put that 23.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
It was over. He. He came up out that 45, and he looked.
ISO Joe Johnson
He went back to looking like 23 again.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
They just. He. He just wasn't as athletic as he was in 80. From 80 when he came in as a rookie. And when he won that first. And when he won that, that, that, that. Those first championships. Yeah, you look at Jordan from 80, man, you had to see it. Hey, hey, you had, you had, you had. You had to see it, right? You just had to see it. That first run that he had, that first three peak,
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
he wasn't playing. He wasn't nothing. Nice.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
It's ridiculous. It was ridiculous. It was just. I mean, it just. It was just, ah. Yeah, it was just, ah. I. I saw. I saw him in 97 and 98
ISO Joe Johnson
in person, and he was.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
He was still Jordan. Now, don't get me wrong, he was still Jordan. He still could give you 40, but he wasn't as athletic. He wasn't. I mean, early in his career, he could take the ball. Hey, he'd have the ball like this and just hang in the air.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah,
Joe (Uncle Joe)
he was doing. He was doing stuff like that. But I'd be like, bro, I mean, he whipping the ball up under, doing stuff like this. He got the ball because he had Giant Norman's hand. He got the ball rolling around like a softball in his hand. He doing all this right here? Yeah, he got the ball behind his back, man. This dude here.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, Ojo. With all that talent he had, though, nobody could outwork him, bro. And that's what made him special. A lot of people talk about all the stuff he did on the court, but I'm talking about the shape that he was always in. I'm talking about how he stayed in the weight room. Like that gets overlooked because he was so talented.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yep.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
But, man, he wanted to be great, dog. He was willing to do whatever it took.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
But, you know, hey, Joe, just think about if he'd put down if instead of smoking five cigars a day, he'd have just had one. And he could have left that brown liquor alone. He bought a average farted back then.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
You ain't lying, boy. You ain't lying.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Hey, he like. Hey, he like his cigars. Always have it. I think he might draw. He on the white now, you know. I'm saying he might think he might be on. He might be on. He might be on the tequila or the vodka, G. I think he'll cut back on some of that brown liquor.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, man. Listen, I think the mo. One of the most impressive things. They say the man used to go play 18.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
He would. He would.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
On a game day, Ocho.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yep.
ISO Joe Johnson
Game day.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah, he would. Yeah, he would go play golf. Yep.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
That probably you on your feet. You know how much you're on your feet when you golfing?
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Because you know what? He taking somebody money. Cause he don't do nothing for free.
ISO Joe Johnson
He gambling now.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah, absolutely, absolutely, absolutely. He don't. He doesn't do anything. He ain't shooting no pool. He ain't playing no table tennis. He ain't playing no golf. Cards. He love cards. He love. He loves cards.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Guts and Boo is. Are his games.
ISO Joe Johnson
Let's go get him, huh?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
If you get what.
ISO Joe Johnson
Let's call him out, huh?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
No, we.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, we nightcap, but we don't spare nobody.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
No, man. Man, that man be playing. 25, 53, 75,000 a hand.
ISO Joe Johnson
We got it. We got Joe. We got Joe.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
You got Joe for what, huh? For what?
ISO Joe Johnson
You gonna put up the money?
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
For what?
ISO Joe Johnson
The.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
The play, Jordan, man, Play. What we playing?
ISO Joe Johnson
Not Boo. Hey, hey, Jordan, if you see this, if you want to smoke with Nightcap, Holl.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
No, I.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
We don't want no smoke.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, how much we got to bring to the table, bro? What we got bring.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Probably, knowing him, probably quarter of a million in cash.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Now, tell them. Tell them. Tell them. I'm gonna tell them.
ISO Joe Johnson
Quarter of a million. What?
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, we all come to the table
Joe (Uncle Joe)
in the play to play him.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
We all come.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
And his buddies oatmeal.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, all right, how about we. We take. All right, how about this? We bring a hundred thousand a piece. Yeah, a hundred thousand.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
And once you lose, ain't like you can sit around now. Just when you lose, you got to leave. Leave?
ISO Joe Johnson
What you mean, leave? We gotta leave.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
You can't. Ain't no sitting around in the hotel room. Ain't no. Hey, man, I'll get me a drink. No, you got to go.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, hey, hey. We. Hey, we could put Jordan in this place, huh? Let's challenge.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I can't let you.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, Joe. What you want to do, Joe?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
You want to go get him? You.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
You want double team Mojo?
ISO Joe Johnson
Let's get him, Joe. Come on.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Let's get him.
ISO Joe Johnson
You got Oakley, I got Jordan.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. I thought we were jumping Jordan.
ISO Joe Johnson
I wanted to be fair. And we gonna play. We play spades. Whatever. Whatever they want to do.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Nah, Jordan, I don't think he played no spades. Jordan play guts and boo Ray.
ISO Joe Johnson
Okay, well, tell Jordan. Make it light on yourself, huh?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Nah, I'm good. I don't want to play. He already tried to get me to play. I said, you're not going to get my house. Cause he ain't.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, look, look. Cause. Cause he ain't got no li. Hey, look.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
To get my house.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey. Cause playing Blu Ray. If you don't really care for real about the money that's out there, you'll get booed on purpose just so you can put up the pot and then raise the problem.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yes, I get the deal. Mess around and get hit on the edge. Listen, I've seen pots get up to 70, 50, and 75, 000. No, man.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Man, listen. I seen dudes getting off the plane on each other. 150K.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yes.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
175K. Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Hold on.
ISO Joe Johnson
On the plane, Joe, on the plan.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
We can't be friends and teammates no more.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
You.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah, I owe you that. That amount of money.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
That's why Mike. Mike wanted to cut us out from gambling. He says because if you lose 25, you lose $50,000. Your mind is not on the game. Your mind is on the. Is. Is on the money that you lost. Hey, he right. Hey.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, Ojo. During the game, it could be fourth quarter, 10 minutes left, you, you. It'll be somebody on the bench. I'm like, boy, I can't wait till we get on this plane so I can get that damn money.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Look, man, we coming. I'm trying to think. Hold on. Where we coming back from? Japan, man. Burger took 50,000 off a coach. Took him two years to pay him off.
ISO Joe Johnson
You mean like a coach?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yep. Defensive coach. I ain't gonna call. I ain't gonna call his name, but
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
yep, he made him pay.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Hell, yeah. He had to pay him off in two years. Hey, wasn't even on the team no more. And he still. He's still sending burger money.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Damn. Y' all ain't do deals.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Deal.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Look, so here's the thing. When I say deals, it's like, if. If all. If we all playing and I hit for 20k, he owe me 20k.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Okay?
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
If I say, oh, man, you just pay me. Pay me 15 and we good. You know what I'm saying? But you got to pay this in a, you know, certain amount of timely matter.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yes.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
You can't just keep getting on these flights. You owe me 20k.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oh, yeah.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
You just continue to play. Now, we weren't having none of that.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
What the thing is, is that what I hate is, dude want to gamble. Like, hey, Charlotte, borrow some money.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Okay?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I give him five grand, bro. And then you want to try to fade me? You not gonna pay me with my money. You better get your damn ass up from the. You better get somebody else money. How you gonna pay me with my money?
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, hey, no, Joe.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I would, like, look like me and Burns would play. I would. I would. You know, hey, I rolling dice. I lick burns for 3,000. He good.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I ain't. I ain't never took no money from it. We playing spades, we good. Poker, we good. I don't take no money from him. Everybody else. Now, I did hit a guy. I took a. A 70 chevelle off a guy. Oh, he had. Just had it refurbished. Yeah. And so I say, you know what, man? Man, you can't go home and tell your wife that you lost your car that you spent this money on. I said, give me 10 grand and we'll call it a d. We call it.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah, yeah.
ISO Joe Johnson
You ain't taking the car.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I didn't take the car. I didn't take the car.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, Joe, tell me about. Tell me about them dudes betting 100 owing somebody 150, 775, 000 on the plane. They really paid, man.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Listen, let me tell you so. I'm gonna tell you the team I was on.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Don't.
ISO Joe Johnson
Don't say no name, though. I'm just.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
I was. I was playing with the Houston Rockets.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yes, sir.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah. This 2000, what, 18, 17, something like that?
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
And Uncle Ocho, I never seen nothing like it on the plane, bro. I never seen that. Like, first off, you get on the plane. Yeah, they big boy gambling, and I
Joe (Uncle Joe)
like to play Blu Ray, but when
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
I got to the Rockets, I'm like, damn, what's the ante up? They like the ante. Like, it's a thousand dollars just to start off.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oh, what, A thousand?
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Listen, listen, listen. It's A thousand dollars. And that's just a start off. Now when we start, when the plane started to descend, it go up, it go up to like two grand, three grand. Next thing you know, man, them folk playing $5,000 a hand, man. I told him, now I'm good. I'm gonna just watch, I'm gonna just watch them over here.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
But you know, you lose the most money playing in between. You play in between, Joe. Yeah. Now you talk about 50, 75, 000. Go quick.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Because you get an ace. Ace. Oh, high. You get another ace, it's automatically low. And then an ace come again and hit on the edges. You gotta double what's in the pot.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yes, sir.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
So what's in the pot is 10,000. You gotta put 10, 20,000. Not a pot, 30,000. Just like that. Hey, just like that. Lickety split.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, they in between. Serious.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Boy, I'm telling you. Oh, oh. I'm telling you, man. Hey, hey.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
We used to do it with shots. We used to do it with shots. You know, back, back in the day where I used to have a real good time, you know, we, we, we have a little shindig or something. We'll have shots like, you know, we play in between for shots. You know what I mean? So I know that game that can get dangerous. Partner it.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Absolutely. You got to be careful. Cause you'll lose some friendships because. Hey, I'm telling you, man.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, hey, hold up. Where any of the gambling, you will lose some friendship. That's why I say, man, listen, it's got to be a limit to some of this. You feel what I'm saying?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yes.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
You get on them teams who ain't got no limit to what they'll spend or what they willingly lose. Boy, please.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
On the SUBO trip, we playing. Hey guys. Putting six, eight super tickets in to cover debt. Yeah, absolutely. That's why I say when, when you start playing like that. Hey, money out of sight, calls a fight.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yes, sir.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, don't worry about it. Hey, Uncle Joe.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
What's that?
ISO Joe Johnson
I didn't already put the message out already. So, I mean, we. Listen, I need y'.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
All. Hey, I don't want no part of that. Hey, I know how. I'm telling you, it's fine. He gonna bet enough to make you uncomfortable. See, and when it's cash, it's not like. See like in the casino, those chips, they're chips. When you see stacks and stacks of, of hundred dollar bills. So you see 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, a hundred thousand dollars Stacked there. You can't look at that as anything but money.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, Michael. Michael Jordan. No Oakley. Y' all come see me in ISO, huh? Make it light on yourself. Whatever you want.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, we'll definitely get their ass and some talk. Some uno or something.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oka. Big time gamble, too. Cause, like, me and Oak. Me and Oak. That's how I actually met Jordan. Through. Through. Through Oak.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oak and I used to work out together.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
So he'd be at the track, running. Anytime he come to town, my homeboy, he would call my homeboy, say, hey, let Sharp know I'm in town. Okay? I'm gonna meet him up there at Houston. Oh, Joe, you remember that Houston used to be on Lennox Road?
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yes.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
So I would always. I would always meet him up there. That Houston's, then they closed that one down. We would go down to the one on. On Peace Street. But he would. I would always be like, man, you ought to come. You know you ought to come. And Gallon said, nah, Oak, I ain't gonna do that, man.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
I hung out with Oak and MJ one time here in Atlanta.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
We playing the South Angle.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Look, we played a softball game against Jermaine Dupree. He had a softball team. So Jordan came down here, he put together a softball team, and I played on it. We played the game. We. We won the game, and then we went out that night. Well, they parted different, man. He do party different. They just.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
See, Oak done chilled out now. Cause he don't drink. He don't. He don't really drink like he used to. And I'm. It's a good thing. Cause, boy, look here, y' all heard the stories. Whatever you heard about Oakley playing basketball, it is 1000% true.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Oh, it almost went down that night in the spot in the club.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
It almost was 1000%. What? No, what's. What's more than a thousand? It's a million percent for sure. He did not bulldize. I am so glad he turned. I'm so glad. Oh got married and turned his life around. He ain't one to play with. So all that talking about, man, oh, went for bad. No, Oak was bad. They ain't playing with. Oh, yeah. Ain't nobody played with. Oh, he liked. And I'm like, bro, Lord have mercy. I'm like, who? I said, whoa. But, hey, I ain't come to tussle bad. Damn. If something go down, I got to go. I got to go with him. Because then. Cause if you don't go with him when he get out, he gonna Fight you.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
He go, yeah,
Joe (Uncle Joe)
he gonna fight you. That's how old kills.
ISO Joe Johnson
Man.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I say, man, I am so glad when that man, they told me that man, he got married.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah. Hey, hey, hey, Uncle Joe, think about this, right? We don't already started it, right? We got nightcap outside, right?
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah.
ISO Joe Johnson
We did bowling, we did the Frisbee toss. We did cornhole nightcap, Nightcap outside. Special Edition, UNC, ISO and Joe vs Oakley, Jordan and Rodman and what Boot Ray?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oh, hell no.
ISO Joe Johnson
I mean, whatever, Whatever they want to play, they can make it lighter on themselves. Us three versus them three.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Look here, man, Ocho, I'm telling you, you don't understand how. Look, that little five, that little five and 25, little hundred dollar stuff that we be gambling. Oh, yo, I'm telling you, man, it
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
got to be a limit. We. I mean, the man, he's a hill.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, hold on. Hey, Joe, I don't like talking, but
Joe (Uncle Joe)
you know how that man is.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, hey, Joe, Joe, I'm talking like we ain't got it like that, though.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I ain't got it like that.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah, we do.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I ain't got it like that.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, Joe, any emergency situations for a special occasion like this? If we want to go get it, we can go get it. We just that we choose not to do it because that's not what we do.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
But I got grandkids. I'm trying to leave a little something for my grandkids, Ocho.
ISO Joe Johnson
Okay, my bad.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
You need that. You need that to caught me when I was playing. When I was playing. Yeah, I probably would. I probably would have jumped out there for 100k.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Not now.
ISO Joe Johnson
I tell you what, I tell you what, I loan you a hundred and go at them boys, huh?
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
That man ain't paid you 50 900. How the hell he gonna hold you long?
ISO Joe Johnson
5900 is an emergency fund, Joe. It means you break the glass in case of emergency.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I'm good. I don't want. Ain't no emergency. I'm just go. Hey, I will see. Oh, when I go to Atlanta, I see him. Hey, let's go grab a bite to eat, reminisce. That's it. That's all I want to do.
ISO Joe Johnson
It's too late because I already said it. So people gonna take the clip and they gonna send it to Oak and they gonna send it to Jordan, bro.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oh, came in town. I had just got the. The new 760. I had the first. I had the first one in the Southeast. I just got it. Okay. I think I had like 500 miles on the car. My homeboy Jimbo told Oak I had the car. He wanted one, but he was go. He was on the wait list.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah, right.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
So he was at the Four Seasons. I drove the car up there. He looked at it. Man, I like this. He go upstairs and come back down. He go upstairs, said, wait a minute. He goes upstairs and come back downstairs.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
How much he had with him?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
He gave me130,000 cash. So I said. He said, I'm gonna buy it. I like, okay, he said. I said, well, what the hell am I. I gotta get home. He said, you were driving home. I mean, it ain't no. I could have. I done walk home. He gave 130. 000 cash. He said, All. He said, hey. He said, do me a favor. Leave the insurance on it until Tuesday. I said, cool, no problem. You slowed on the car. He said. He said, hey, hey, I got everything taken care of. You can, you know, cancel the insurance. I canceled insurance. That was it.
ISO Joe Johnson
He bought the car right there on the spot.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Right there on the spot. Cause my homeboy Jimbo told him that I had it. So he told. Hey, Oak say he wanted to see the car. I thought he just wanted to see what it looked like. To see if he wanted one.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
I ain't know he wanted to buy it. So I drove. I drove because it's right up the street. I won't. Peachtree done Woody. The Four Seasons. I think it's the Carlisle or something. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's right there. It's right there on Lennox Road in Peachtree. Yeah. So it's a mile from the house. I drove up there. Hey, he looked at it. He walking around. He looked at it. He go upstairs and come back down. He give me a paper bag. I said, man, what's this? This is 130,000. I said, okay. I said, well, how the hell I'm gonna get home? He said, I'm gonna take you home. Hell, I know where you stay.
ISO Joe Johnson
I like, hey, that's. That's a big boy move right there, huh?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Hey, I drove home. I got out of the car. He said, hey, man, do me a favor. He said, just leave the insurance until. Until. Until Tuesday. Because he was going, I think where he from? He from Mississippi. Alabama. He. From what he. I think he from, like, Miss. He might be from. I think he might be from Alabama, Mississippi somewhere. He was. And he was going home to see. See some family members. That was it. I had to call. I think I had to call A month. Maybe a month. Maybe a month. I think I barely had 500. I don't even know if I had 500 miles. I think I had like 250, 300. Okay, that was it.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, hey, we gonna show him, though. We're gonna show.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
No, we're not.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, Joe. Okay, Joe. Unc, out. Me and you, Joe.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
I got you. I'm with you, bro.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah, me. Hey, hey, Joe, Me and you, we gonna show Michael Jordan and Oakley. You know who the big boys is, huh?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Okay, y' all go right ahead.
ISO Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, but I need. I need Unc to be there, though, like somebody.
ISO Joe Johnson
Somebody gotta film it.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
He really ain't got no credibility for me to even be with it. For real, for me to even be rocking with him, you know, that's. That's a big step, you know?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, hey, Joe. Hey, Joe. We family, not. Joe, you hear me?
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Nah, we got. Once we get our fade out the way, we can get back to being family right now, it's very disruptive in the family, you know, but, but, but, but, but the fact that we work together, you know, I. You know, I have to be, you know, let's see.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, Joe, we deeper than work, Joe.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
We.
ISO Joe Johnson
This deeper than work, you hear me?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Hey, no, man, let me tell you something, man. The one thing Oak don't play with is money. Now, hey, he good. Hey, he ain't. He ain't as rowdy as he used to be, but.
ISO Joe Johnson
Right.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Don't play with him.
ISO Joe Johnson
Now,
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
you know why I'm saying that? Cause he know you the type to come in there with two 300 bills on top of your bankroll with a bunch of.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Hell, no.
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, hey, Joe. Hey, listen, Joe, man, I fold Oakley up, man. Don't play. I fold Oakley like a lawn chair.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
That. Hey, hey, if you notice, don't nobody call Oakley out. I've been doing. I met okie. What, 93. So damn near 30. 33 years. Yeah, he don't play like that, man. But like I said, I'm glad he got married. Ocho, look at the. Look at the graphic. The graphics teams did
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
what they got.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oh, this is from Discourse. Can you see? Look at there.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Oh, man, what's that?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
What you mean? What you mean?
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Who was that?
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, why, hey, why? Every time the Gravity Team makes something got me getting punched in the mouth,
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
man, they ain't crazy.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
They came up and a fan made that one. Look at the other one, Joe. Look at the other one. Yeah, yeah.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
That's what I'm talking about. Yeah, yeah. Why you playing? Why that man playing with my money and my time, homie? Yeah, I got to get that get back.
ISO Joe Johnson
But one thing, one thing about it, boy. When I step inside that right there, whether it's the ring or the octagon, ain't none of that happening, Joe. Ain't none of that.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Hey. Oh, you hear the story about Tyrone Hill?
ISO Joe Johnson
Oh, the Tyrone that played for the Pacers?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Yeah, and the Sixers.
ISO Joe Johnson
And the Six. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
And what's the. The. The Tar Heel, the D. The. The point guard, Jeff McGinnis.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. He got some stories out there.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oh, Oak lending some money and he was dodging. Oh, and see, back then, the shoot arounds, you might be still shooting the other team coming in.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
ISO Joe Johnson
What he did to him?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Well, the first time that he did, he sent him some flowers, but had to. He had the ball boy to send some flowers over there. Oh, Joe car, he got sick all of a sudden. He didn't play that night, but don't caught up with him.
ISO Joe Johnson
This sound like some mafia type stuff.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Yeah.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Oh, used to be. He used to be. He used to be on that type of time.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, hey, what are the fire hands? What. What did the five fingers say to the face?
ISO Joe Johnson
Hey, Joey slapped him.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Hey, Ojo, that's.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
That's what he known for.
ISO Joe Johnson
Why y' all got me. Y' all got me talking. Talking trash to somebody like that.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
See you, you go to bargain up all these trees, now you go to copper.
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Don't play like that.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)
Ain't nobody trying to hear all that.
ISO Joe Johnson
All right, well, you know what I'm barking up Trico. We gonna cut it down. How about that?
Joe (Uncle Joe)
Who are we? Who are we? Oh, hey, hey, dude. Hey. Over that somebody's house. And Jeff, we're talking all that. Why are you over there? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, okay. Walked into their practice, they had shoot
ISO Joe Johnson
around at the shoot around bow. Ain't nobody do nothing to him.
Ocho (Chad Ochocinco Johnson)

Throughout the episode, the hosts inject humor, respect, and a little bit of trash talk. There's the barbershop-style teasing—especially as Ocho and ISO Joe vow to take on legends like MJ and Oakley—that keeps things lively and approachable, even as they offer pointed analysis of the realities of decline and the perils of stepping back into the ring after time away.
This episode highlights the dangers of athletic ring rust, the unforgiving nature of combat sports, and the camaraderie (and competitiveness) that defines elite athletes long after their primes. Whether dissecting technical boxing details or recounting wild high-stakes gambling, the hosts offer storytelling and insight that is both informative and genuinely entertaining for longtime fans and casual listeners alike.
