We got Texans all all world Cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. CM star receiver KC Conception join later. But oh we got first we got. New video has emerged.
B
Wait, what happened?
D
Deron Payne punching Amon Ross St. Brown. Okay, after this video we gonna watch. We can't show the video. Well, I'm a firm believer guy. Y' all know who I am. Yeah, I was the strongest in. In. In. In. In. What I thought Daron Payne did was absolutely wrong. Daron Payne reached out to me today on DM and he was very, very respectful. And I'm not going to get to. To specifics but. But basically he was saying og, I appreciate you. I love the way you played the game. Everything that you were able to accomplish, you were great. He said, but I didn't unprompt, just unload on old boy.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
D
And he said he sent me the video since I was the strongest in my. My critique of the Ron Payne. Let me be the loudest and say, bro, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for judging you without knowing all the facts because all I know is what what was shown.
E
Right?
D
Amen. Ross St. Brown absolutely hit this man unprompted. They were in a little shoving back and forth and. And then he got a little quick when he. You know how we do a little thing right here. Nobody looking.
B
Hey, Uncle Chicken Wing. He get heated with.
D
Yes. Javon Kid Law. I owe you an apology too because you said he did hit Daron Payne first and we didn't. I didn't believe you. So I want to apologize to you. But the biggest apology goes to Daron Payne and I'm glad you did it because like my grandma used to say I might not break. I Might not stop you, but I damn sure break you the habit. I guarantee you, Armor Ross St. Brown was dead ass wrong. Duron Payne. You should have. See, you don't get to do something to somebody and didn't talk about that was an overreaction. Keep your hands to yourself.
C
Yes.
D
You said he told. Now this is what Almond Ross St. Brown said Sunday and Monday before the video surface and say, yeah, he hit him because now he don't have a leg to stand on. Ocho and Joe, he. He said, you know, back and forth. He didn't say nothing too crazy, but he never mentioned the part that he hit the Ron Payne in the face first. That never came out of his mouth, right? Deron Payne. I'm sorry, bro. I am so sorry. As a man, I'm never. And I've told you guys, y' all heard me say this on Undisputed. I'm never going to be too big to say I'm sorry. I'm never going to be too prideful. I'm never going to be too wealthy. I'm never going to be anything where I can't say I'm sorry. I was wrong. Duron paid.
B
I was wrong. Yeah.
D
Hey, you should. I wish you to knock this ass out.
B
Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
D
Keep your hands. Keep your hands to yourself. Or your grandma told you that. Your mom told you that. Joe. I know you heard it. Cause you from this. Oh, so you from the South. But people don't really look at Miami like the south like we look at. Like. Like we look at. Like. We look at Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas. All those states. Go ahead, Ocho.
B
I understand you're supposed to keep your hand to yourself. I understand.
D
Yes. So what. So what punishment? What punishment? Before you go, Ocho, can I ask the NFL, what punishment are y' all gonna levy against Almond Ross St. Brown?
B
I don't know. I don't know. But listen, you know the rules. You know the rules. And they talk about it in meetings before season starts again about getting angry. They always see the second person that throws a punch. They always see the second person that shoves every time. So am Rob Brown is playing a game within the game, understanding. Well, hell on I'm a chicken. Wean him, you know, and see if I can get him in trouble real quick. And it worked. It worked. And he lost his temple, you know, that's the game within a game. How can I get under somebody's skin to get my team an advantage now? It was wrong. Yes, it was wrong. It was wrong. Huh? Yeah. I'd be the first to say it, but, you know, it's. It's trick. It's tricks of the trade. Now you say you should at least have knocked him out. Now, I don't think that would have happened because they would have had to jump the wrong. Now, we don't want that to happen.
D
Now they want to jump. You see. Hey. No, you say nobody grabbed it when he slapped. When he slapped five from him and the official standing right there. Because Ocho, here's the thing. You're absolutely right. The maybe. Let's just say for the sake of argument, Joe and Ocho, but the official didn't see it. But just like they replayed it and saw what Duran Duron Payne did, I guarantee you they replayed it and saw what Amon Ross St. Brown did.
B
Yeah.
D
Hey, so did they. Did they find or suspend Duran Pain? They suspended for one game without pay.
B
Uhhuh.
D
So they. So now that they go back and look at the tape, what's gonna happen on Mar. St. Brown? I don't know, but something. A fine should be levied. Keep your hands and. And your feet to yourself. If you blocking me, I get that. You pancake me and stepping my chest. I get that. But keep your hands to yourself.
B
Yeah.
D
Especially on that football field because I can do anything I want to and it's not a crime. They might suspend me, they might throw a penalty, but it's not a crime. Keep your hands to yourself. I don't know what possessed him to do what he did. That's a grown man. I don't know if the Ron Payne has a wife. I don't know if he has kids or anything, but keep your. My grandma used to always say, boy, keep your hands and your feet to yourself. She said, boy, if somebody put their hands or their feet on him, you do everything you can to try to break them.
B
See? Hey, you heard what you just said, right?
F
Huh?
B
Hey, not hey, Joe. I told you that story. I told you that story where Ray knocked my Hammond off and he ended up.
D
Yeah.
B
Hey, hey. Were you laughing? Joe, Joe, boy. I was in the locker room looking for Ray boy, and we. We weren't even playing at home. We were playing it.
D
That was two weeks later. You was unconscious. You don't even remember when y' all was actually playing for Ray two weeks later.
B
No, no, no.
D
Y' all was playing the Bills. Ray played for the Ravens. You talk about where Ray at. Where. Where's Sugar?
B
Hey, hey, hey. I was looking for Sugar after that game. I'M telling you, like, hold on, Joe. I was upset, right? Thinking to myself, hold on. Now, me and Ray, we pray before the game. We go over a scripture before every game, whether we playing each other or not, you know, Right.
D
We like this your man, honey Grand. Yeah.
B
We don't say it a prayer before the game. And we get in the game. We get in the game and now you act like you don't know me.
D
You know me.
B
But we pray. You just try to knock my helmet off.
E
Hold on.
B
My helmet went flying by 30 yards, Joe.
D
Sure did. Hey, hey, look, Ocho know in between them lines, man, ain't no friends.
B
Yeah, listen, I.
D
He probably pray. He don't. He don't knock. He don't really knock you. Knock you out. Out. Hey, but you got to realize them guys, defensive players go to a different place, man.
B
Yeah. Yeah. Hey, I was in a different place after the game because I was in y' all locker room.
D
Security had long ago tired when that happened, Joe.
B
They had to come get me out the locker room. Joe B. To whoop on him. You hear me? Why you don't that. But you don't do nothing like that. But if you. If we do, Joe, you can't sit there and say a prayer with me. We can't read the scripture. And then you go out there and try to kill me on the field. Do that.
D
Now he was saying, lord, forgive me what I'm about to do to Ocho. Lord, I know I've come a long way and I'm trying to do better in my life, but any sins that I commit on this field today, please forgive them.
B
Hey, Joe. And the funny thing about it, Joe, is when. When people ask me who was your favorite team to go against? It was always the rate it was. It was always the Ravens and the Steelers, Joe. Because one thing about it, I call it a two chin strap game, Joe. You had that. You got. You had to bring 210 straps to that goddamn game, Joe.
F
Hey, hey.
D
You had to get some sleep tonight.
B
For that game, Joey, was hell. It was hell and I. I enjoyed it because you had no choice but to raise your level of play. You had no sleep but the rage 11 play. And then you got my crazy ass who talk during the week and give everybody bulletin board material on purpose, you know? So, I mean, there was some of the. Some of the. Some of the joyous times for me during them days, man. I. I loved it, man. I loved it. I love Ray.
D
Great.
B
I mean, still to this day, man, just being able to. Being able to see and and stay in contact. That's why I like social media so much most of the time. Like you know, back in your days, you kind of lose touch with everybody unless you go to a certain event. They make it so much easy Joe man, it just I don't know.
D
So I don't know if the Ron Paint Duron. I don't know if you're watching this, but I hope you get this. I hope you hear it for yourself. But if somebody, if you don't hear it for yourself, hopefully someone close to you, a family friend or loved one gets you this and let them and tell you Shannon Sharp did it. Did indeed apologize because you were not wrong. You were wrong for getting caught. You weren't wrong for what you did.

And then I think it was today, he's like, yeah, I, I, I kind of nudged him. It don't matter. You don't get. Hold on. You step on my foot, I say, ow. I ain't really step on your foot that hard. You don't get to tell me how hard you stepped on my foot. That's my foot. Yeah. These feet made for me to walk on, not you to walk on them.
E
Yeah, yeah.
D
Duron Payne. I'm sorry, Javon. Ken Law. I'm sorry. Because you also came out and said that he did hit him first. I said, man, that man ain't hit that man first. Ocho yesterday. Ocho, what? Likelihood of a wide receiver going around slug, and he did it. It don't matter how hard it was. It was the mere fact that you did something that you didn't have no business doing, and then he knocked fire from you. And you talking about, oh, I, I, you know, it. No, no, Duran, I'm sorry, and they should give you your money back. Yeah, but I tell you, I guarantee you, I bet he won't hit another D lineman in the face. What you want to be at, Ocho?
B
I don't know. I don't know.
D
Okay, okay.
B
Hey, one thing about us receivers, we're the, we're the most dominant position on the field, you know, whether we got the ball in our hands or not.
D
Here you go.
B
I don't know if, I don't know if anybody.
D
There's a saying that says, ocho, a lesson with a consequence. Action without consequences, there is no lesson learned.
B
Wait a minute.
D
You know what I'm saying, Joe? An action without consequences, there is no lesson learned. Yeah. Now they. Hey, hey, not far from it.
B
Yeah.
D
The NFL gonna come down with something on St. Brown.
B
Nah, no, they're not.
D
No, they're not, man, please.
B
No, they're not. Hey, listen, the NFL. The NFL is already handicapped.
F
That.
B
The NFL has already handicapped the game a lot. They, They've already taking some of the words, some, Some doors. Some of the character, you know, some of the character away from the game and what made it. What made it fun, what made it exciting. Now, before I keep going, I need you to give me that line one more time.
D
Actions without consequences, there is no lesson learned.
B
That's a good one, Joe. I'm gonna use that one in my boy Duron Payne.
D
You did right. You should have Hit him so hard on the top of his head, he peep out his ribs and thought he was in jail. Hey, you did right. I ain't giving you no more. I'm done for the night. Wait a minute.
B
Hey, hey. Bring that back one more time like a dj.
D
I said Duron Payne should have hit him so hard on the top of his head, he peep out his ribs and think he in jail. But you got it, though. Yeah. Yeah. I might not stop that act, but I bet I break you the habit.
B
Okay. You didn't drop two gems early, boy. The show just started.
D
Hey, hold on. Hey. Okay, Ocho. He got up under that. He got up under that helmet, too. When he. When he. When did you see how far he swung back? Yes, sir. He swung back from Prince George. Yeah, he. He got up under there. That's what. Oh, that's. Hey, Joe. That was the most cartoon slaps. You watch the Saturday cartoon? Yeah.
B
Hey.
D
Hey. He was pissed off. He could. He couldn't help it. Absolutely. Absolutely. So I don't have any problems after seeing the video, after having him explain what happened. And he said, oh, gee, I ain't just. I ain't just swing on old boy. He did what he did. Send me the video. I tapped on it, looking at it. They little hand fighting. And then he tried to get a quick one in. Yeah, look.
B

We got a very special guest Joining us, we got Texans all world cornerback, man. He had an unbelievable one handed interception that really started to come back. They came down, came back from 19 down in the fourth quarter to win the ball game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the division opponent. Here he is a Pro Bowler, all pro. Three picks this season, including one against Trevor Lawrence. Here he is, Derek Stingley Jr. Sting. What's going on, bro?
E
Not much, man.
D
Man, thank you for joining us, man. We really, really appreciate that. Go ahead, Ocho.
B
What's good?
E
What's up? I'm always good.
B
Okay. I like that energy. I like that energy. I see you in the off season.
E
Oh, yeah? Yeah. We gotta run.
D
Bro. Watching you play and I think the thing is about any great corner, the one thing that they all have is patience. They ain't really biting that first move because. Look, bro, all that head stuff. Let me ask you a question. What are you looking at? You looking at his breastplate? You're looking at his hips. Cause all this head doing all this and all that right there and these hips still coming straight at me. So what when you, when you lock in and you're playing press coverage, what are you watching?
E
I'm looking more at the like mid thigh, the back leg.
D
Okay.
E
To like. I start low, so then when your eyes go up a little bit, I end up around the hips and try to stay in that range right there.
F
So.
B
Yeah.
D
How did you, how did you learn to be patient? Because a lot of times, you know, these receivers are really good at round running, getting in and out of breaks. And I think the thing is that you can't be overreactive. Always biting the first move. Now, you know, sometimes they, sometimes they really are running a go and sometimes they gonna run, you know, they trying to run you off and do this comeback or do this dig or do this over route. So. So how are you playing? I mean, obviously you study tape, you see formation, you're like, okay, you think y' all slick, y' all think y' all got a three by one. You think you gonna fool me with this split, man, get out of here.
E
Yeah, I mean, it's really. Because, I mean, I'm also fast. No, I feel like people don't think that, that I'm fast, but like, I don't.
D
They don't think you fast.
E
No, but I, I can run with pretty much anybody. So knowing that in my mind, like you're not gonna run away from me. So I played like low hip. Most of the time. I can. If we get down the field, the quarterback you Know all quarterbacks don't throw accurate deep passes. So, you know, I can look back at a certain time knowing that the ball sometimes will be under, thrown or inside or something like that. Then it's just gonna make a playoff of that.
D
And, you know, you ain't gonna have much time to throw it. Y' all got those two edge guys coming off the edge, so you like, hey, I ain't gotta, I ain't gotta come alone. Yeah.
E
And that's every snap like they, they. And it's not even just them. Like, it's the whole, like, the interior like they, they.
D
Yeah, you got rankings. You got those guys.
E
Yeah, they pushing out the middle, and then you got the, the two on the outside, and then they all rotate. So, like, we got three people deep in every position on the D line, so every snap.
B
But you, you want, you wanted a few. Obviously. I, I, I'm, I'm an enthusiast when it comes to, you know, some of the better db, just DB play in general, you know, know, and, and, and being able to watch all, and, and study a game and study how you guys play. You have tremendous patience. You have tremendous patience similar to, to, to, to like Darrell Reavis, in a sense. You're very good in bump and run. Watching a film, you can tell, you watch film a lot, and you understand the tendencies and, and what's coming and what's not. And your ball skills is second to none. Your ball skills are second to none because you're one of the few, few DBs that when, when the ball is in the air, you actually look back for it and you don't panic most of the time, you, you already know most of the time. Everybody always panic, wants the ball in the air. And what's the first thing you do? You pull your tug and you get a flag thrown. But your ball skills, man, is elite. You know, I haven't had a chance to give you flowers, but just now I got a chance to. But you, you wanted the best. You know, we talk about top two you right up there. So it depends on, on, on who you, who you like based on preferences. You and brother. Brother P2 died in. In.
E
Yeah. I appreciate you, man. I appreciate that.
B
Yes, sir.
D
AD Sting. What's up, bro? Hey, tell me something. What have you learned from, you know, your father, your grandfather? Coaching and mentorship, you know, as you came into this league, what, what have they taught you kind of growing up?
E
Well, my dad, so, you know, he, well, he coached in the Arena Football League for a long time. He played in an arena. And since I was a little kid, like, as far back as I. I can remember, I'm doing DB drills with, like, his place and, like, with full pads on as a little kid or. Or, like, running routes against his DBs as a little kid, like, double moves or you know, whatever like that. So being in that type of environment, it kind of taught me, for one, like, the brotherhood that goes along with a. With a football team, because one. They was. Yeah, they was. I guess you could say, like, they was those older figures that I saw as, like, superstars. Like, it was just like a. Like a family environment.
F
Right?
E
And so that told me brotherhood and then. And then, like, seeing them go out there and play together, knowing that they was close, like, off the field, whether that was dealing with me or, you know, doing their own thing or whatever. And then for my dad, like, well, and then. And then adding on to that, like, my dad, he taught me how to deal with, like, energy levels on the. On the field. So, you know. You know, big talker.
D
He tried. He's getting. He's trying to get your head stained.
E
Oh, yeah, you know, like, he. He'll talk and he'll do all that, but me personally, like, if I make a good play, like, you probably won't see me do anything, like. Like, whether. If it's like PPU or something like that, like, I'll just walk off because, for one, I'd be tired. So, like, I don't have to do that. And then, like, if some. If something is too bad, then, you know, like, it's on to the next play. And I feel like, as. As a defensive player, like, that's. That's just how you got to live life and. Well, and it's really like that for offense, too. Like. Like a receiver, tight end, like. Like, you drop the ball, like, drop.
D
A pass, you gotta move.
E
You can't think about it because then you start thinking about catching the football, you're gonna keep on dropping the rest of them, right? You know, like, stuff like that, like, just regulating emotions and, you know, still playing with a passion and being fierce with it. But everybody don't even know that. Like. Like, if you. If you want to try to play me on the field, I just show you by just playing the game, like, I don't. I don't need to talk because I don't know how to talk.
D
Oh, you don't talk. You said what I said you don't talk. So if somebody started yapping, oh, yeah, oh, I'm about. Oh, I'm about to get this one today. I'm about to get me a hundred today. Got to get me about a couple tubs.
E
I mean, I. I'll probably just look. Well, because I don't know how to talk trash talk. So, like, I'll just look and I'll. I'll either laugh or I'll just be like, okay. Like, all right. Like, oh, no.
B
Hey, hey, hey, Uncle Joe. I'm gonna get it out of him.
D
Oh, yeah.
B
Oh, hey. I'm. Get it out. Everybody.
D
Just like this here Ocho, he like, man, what you doing? So you about to smell the deodorant? That's what I'm doing. That's what I'm doing. Don't worry about it. Hey, hey, hey. D.C. telling y', all, look, that's gonna motivate him. He ain't gotta say nothing. Yeah, but he gonna be like, okay, right? Like, it's a quiet confidence, bro.
E
Like, it's not. It doesn't matter who it is. Like. Like Ocho said, like, I know you. You say that you'll be able to get me to talk on the field, but I. I honestly would look at you crazy, and you gonna. You'll be like, what? Like, is something wrong with him? Like. Like, why is he not.
B
No, no, no, no, no, no. I'm gonna. I'm getting that work. I'm. Listen, I'm not gonna talk on the field. I'm gonna talk during the play. I'm gonna talk during the route. Like I'm different. Like, I'm different.
D
Gotta let him know. We gotta let you know, Sting. Hey, the whole time we got two quiet dudes versus two talkers. That first down on you. First down.
B
Hey, hey, Sting. Hey, hey, hey. You know, they hit me with. Hey, every time I catch a ball, I'm hitting with their own thing.
E
Yeah, yeah.
D
Oh, yeah. I don't. Hey, hey, that don't affect.
E
I don't do that, so that don't affect me. I'm saying, like, you don't. My mind is like, this is a still, like, just, I don't know, Cage or whatever. Like.
B
Yeah.
D
I tell you what y' all do. Do you let. When you got the interception, y' all ran to the end zone. So I give me a touchdown, I'm calling on my teammate. Come on, let's go to the end. Let go. Oh, yo, let go. Look.
B
Yeah. Hey, Stink. Hey, Sting.
D
You know.
B
You know who whose thing remind me of, too? Hunk. And that's the way you carry yourself. And he's always, always Even killed. No matter what. It's really hard to get him out of character. Andre Johnson. Yeah, exactly the same.
D
Don't talk.
E
Yeah.
D
Dre. Don't say nothing at all.
B
At all.
D
Let me ask you a question. Who do you kind of pattern your game after? Because, I mean, like, you kind of built like. Like Reavis, but, I mean, there's Charles Wilson, there's Rod Wilson. There's time. There's Rebus, there's Daryl Green, There's a Niels Williams. There have been a lot of great corners. Like, so did you study film when you watch it? Like, okay, this is the direction I'm going in, and I think this is what I'm going to be at in college, is what I'm going to be at the next level. Who do you kind of pattern your game after? Is there any similarities that you see between yourself and anybody that I mentioned? Maybe somebody.
E
Yeah, Nobody that you mentioned, but I've always. It's always been Champ Bailey for me.
D
Okay.
E
He's always the. You know, he get the ball, he's locked down. He. He's interchangeable. If you need to go play somewhere else, like in a different position, he could do it, like, just because he know the. Know the defenses or. No football. Yeah, he just always been anywhere. Number 24, like that. Yeah, that's. He's always been the first guy.
D
So you like, you like. Because I. I measure corners, and then this is not a knock on the corners that don't. But I like to see you get frequent flyer miles. I like to see you travel. I mean, if you got a bad dude and he normally he the X, I'm going there. If he the Z, I'm following there. If he in the slot, I'mma follow him there. If he. If he in the backfield, I'm lining up like a linebacker. Wherever you go, just know I'm.
B
Yeah.
E
I mean, and that. That's a. That's a part of it.
D
Like.
E
Like, that's a. That's a mindset. Like, I just want to cover the best. Like, if you're allowed to do it, you're allowed to do it. If you're not allowed to do it, then, you know, the people that aren't allowed to do it, I guarantee they wish that they can do it. Like, so that's something that you can't knock somebody for.
B
I don't.
D
No, no, no, no. Some people just, like, they got the defenses and you play left. He played right. Whatever the case. And that's how it was with Reavis and Crow, normally Reavis and Crow, they stayed. Crow stayed on one side, Restate on the other side. And so wherever you went, Sherman. And when they were in Seattle, he was on one side and. And Brandon Browner was on the other side. So let me ask you a question. You got the big contract, and, you know what comes along with big contracts and even more expectations. You've gone to the Pro Bowl. You've been an All Pro. What are the expectations that Sting puts on himself? Damn. The outside pressure, what you put on yourself?
E
Oh, well, really on myself, like, it's more about, like. Like, technique. Like, it's sometimes, like. Like. Well, we kind of mentioned earlier patience. We were talking about patience. Right. So sometimes or then you also said, like, like, kind of falling for the first move or want to react to the first move. Like. Like. Yes. Like, people know I'm a patient defensive back at the line of scrimmage, so I'll get harder moves, like, first steps, thinking that, okay, yeah, they're going like, you know, it's just a game within the game.
D
Yeah.
E
So I. I'm hard on myself, like, trying to make sure that I'm sticking true to who I am and. And controlling. Controlling the game, myself, not being reactive, but, like. Like, you know, like, controlling the game. And then another thing is, like, yeah, I got all the. The picks, the ball skills, whatever, with the woo. But, like, I've said this before. Like, last year, I had however many. I had, like, interceptions. I could have had double that same thing for right now. I gotta have however many I have right now. I should have double that. Like, and those are the type of things that bug me because I know my pops is sitting in the stand somewhere just, like, mad at me, like. Like frowning or something, and I. I can feel them, like. Like just being mad at me.
F
So.
E
But I'm also mad, too. So, you know, like, those. Those are the. The main things for me because, you know, like, I know how to catch a football. So, like, why am I not catching the pass on this or. Or that? Or why is this person getting, like, an inch of separation when they're. When they're not supposed to? Like, like, you know, like, stuff like that. Like, normal. I mean, I feel like that's normal. Like, football stuff. Like.
D
Let me ask you this. Do you think we're gonna see somebody? Dick Night Train Lane, his rookie season, he had 14 picks. I think in 1980, Lester Hayes had 13 picks. And we haven't seen anybody. We've seen a 10. You saw. We just saw he had 10 and we've seen a lot of 10. Champ Bailey one year had 10.
F
But.
D
But we really haven't seen somebody get that 12, 13 to really challenge that 14. We do have an extra game now and I think Train got here if they have having 12 games. I think if I'm not mistaken, could have been. I think it was 12 games. Night Train, who digs. Digs had 11. Do you think we'll see somebody ever get 15 picks in a season?
E
15. I mean you could, you could. You got to break the record. Like let's say what's his name something Hall. He played for the. For Washington. For, for. Yeah, he, he had four in one games. So like I feel like if somebody. Yeah, it's something or, or this was either last year or two years ago. Darius Slade going against uh, Justin Jefferson. And I think he had two or my. Yeah, I think he had two. But he could have had like six day games. So like those type of games were where you just catch all the ones you're supposed to kick.
B
Yeah, you gotta catch all and then.
E
Just play like your normal game. Like you know, you get one every now and then. Whatever. I did not think it's possible, but if you.
D
I think it's gonna probably come from us. It's probably gonna come from a safety, somebody that's roaming. Yeah, but you're right because normally they targeted. But once you start catching them, they start going away from me.
E
Yeah, but you know, you covering coming in the best receiver. Like they gotta throw him ball.
D
Oh, they gonna feed him now, but then that, then they gonna start. They gonna start stacking him, start running. You start running you off picks and everything and doing all that other stuff. Try to run a bunch of shallow crawls. Then they gonna whip you, they gonna start him in hard. Do Zarro do everything to try to get you off his tail.
E
Still opportunities though, like, like regardless, they gonna be there regardless of whether they try to hide the receiver or not. Like if you're on them, you own them. So that's the opportunity right there.
D
Hey, right now look, we know there only takes seven teams to the playoffs. Right now you guys are four and five and you're third in your own. You're third in your own division. You lost a couple of games that you looking at. I mean I'm sure you did when you went back and watched the film. Like that team shouldn't have beat us. That team should not have beat us. What are you guys going to do? You're four nine, four and five, with eight games to play. What do you guys need to do to position yourselves to make sure if you're not challenging for the division, you get one of those remaining three playoff spots?
E
Well, I mean, you know, going into every week, you. You wash away the week before, and you don't look past the week that you're on. But one of the things that. That my position coach, Dino, he. He always say, just. Just do your. Do your job. Like. Like, do. Take care of what you got to take care of. And then, like, don't go out there chasing plays. Don't go out there like. Like just doing your own thing. Like, just do what you supposed to do. And then if everybody do that, then, you know, the result would be what you would want it to be. So I think everybody just got to do that. So. And that's. That's with every sport, that's with every job, that's with life, that's with everything. Just do what you're supposed to do. And then, you know, the results still it comes.
D
Well, you will get some opportunities to get some picks. You got the Titans coming up. You got Calvin Ridley, Buffalo, they got a bunch of guys. And then the Colts, they got Pierce and Pittman Jr. And then you got the Chiefs, you got Worthy, and you got Rashid Rice, and you got juju. So you go get some. And then you got the Cardinals, Marvin Harrison Jr. The Chargers got what they got. So you got some opportunities. So I'm expecting we have this conversation again in about. About eight weeks. I'm gonna be looking like, okay, Sting, I mean, I've. Last I talked to you had three. Now you need to see about six or seven. We talk again, easy.
B
Yeah.
E
Yeah. I mean, you know, it is what it is.
B
I don't know.
E
Like.
D
No, it is what I need. I need sick. I need six or seven. I mean, hey, hey, hey. These things stay locked in. Don't let them. Don't let them try to have you out here trying to jump on anything.
B
I got one more question. I got. I got one more question. You know, a lot of times, especially when a player is active, you know, they're in their prime, they're playing extremely well, and they play db. They never get opportunity to. To give receivers their flowers or receivers that. Really not saying beat them, but you got to really be on your A game. You got to dot your eyes and cross your T's. When you're playing against a certain person that really have you out there thinking, you know, you got to bring your A game is Is there anybody that comes to mind for you since you've been in the league where you just know. Okay. When I'm playing, so and so I got to be on.
E
Oh, well, yeah. Since I've been.
F
Yeah.
E
Yeah. It's a. Actually it's a lot of people because we're in the field. Like, everybody's right. Right. But I've always said Garrett Wilson with the, with the jets, like, he, like I, I remember the first time I went against him, we was at some, like we was at some high school camp. Well, it was a right opening or something like that. Ryan Clark was actually my, my coach.
D
Yeah.
E
Gary, he ran like a slant rock or whatever with the woo. And I'm playing like a deep third or something. And yeah, the ball is thrown so high and I'm like 20 yards behind or like 15, 20 yards behind him. I'm thinking the ball coming right to me like.
D
And he jumps up so high.
E
Like, he jumps up so high. Catches the ball just running. And I'm just looking at like. Yeah, but since I've been in the league, like, yeah, going against him. I think I played against him like twice already.
B
Right.
E
And he. Yeah, I mean he's, he's nice. Like, he nice and then. But it's a lot of people.
D
It's so many people.
E
I can't even. Devonte Adams always.
B
Yeah.
E
Tariq, Mike Evans. Nobody talk about Mike Evans for some strange reason, like, like, he, he's Mike Evans. Like. Yeah, but it's, it's a lot of people. I can't think of everybody, but. Yeah, right.
D
Derek, you and your dad, Derek Senior run Cover one Elite. Tell us about that. What is Cover one Elite?
E
Oh, so it's really just like a, like a DB camp, like a couple years. Like. Well, we went to Hawaii for a couple years. Get some people like all throughout the league.
D
Okay.
E
Whether it's people I played like in college with or just know like throughout the league. So they'll go down there. Last year we had it in Puerto Rico. Actually, we was just talking about it like, maybe we can get this in Greece next year. Like, you know, like just going, just going.
D
What about safety? Y' all invite. Y' all invite 57 year old safety?
E
I mean, hey, look, it don't matter if you want to come, you just know you're going to work. But right.
D
Damn, y' all working on a granddad.
B
See.
D
Damn, I'm a great.
E
If you want to come, you. You gonna have to worry. Like, it ain't like you ain't Getting no free trip.
D
Damn. I thought I was gonna be able to go to Mykonos or Santorini, you know, get some olive oil, ocho, some cheese.
E
Look, you can work. All right, so the way. The way it's set up is we. We normally go out there for like, I think it's like five days or something or six days. The first day, travel day, next day, work day, then you're off the next day, then you got another work day, then you're off the next. So you know, you can do whatever.
D
Okay. Oh, okay, okay, okay. Okay.
E
Yeah, you can do your business is your business. And then.
D
And then.
E
And then.
D
I ain't really no cover safety. You don't think I. They call me graveyard, cuz when I leave the field, the body is everywhere. So you know what I'm saying? All I want you to do is follow it to me. Hey, Sting, just follow it to me. Don't even worry about. Hey, don't even worry about that slam. I got.
E
It's all good.
B
I got that.
E
We got safety, we got line.
D
I'll put that soup on.
E
We bring. We bring like four linebackers or. Or two to four linebackers, safeties, like, it's everybody. So. Come on.
B
I like that. I like.
D
So then you got. Look, you got. Look. You was on that 2019 national championship team, that great team, probably the greatest team, one of the greatest teams ever assembled in college. Arguably the. One of the greatest. You can make a case. It's the greatest offensive team. But what you guys were able to do, you. Joe. Joe Burrow was the quarterback and Jetta and Chase and Marshall and Thad Moss and Clyde Edwards Alaire and all those great offensive linemen, the DBs like yourself, they fired Brian Kelly. How do you guys get back to something similar to that? What lsu, that alums and. And everybody in boosters are proud to show up to Death Valley and know we couldn't somebody ask tonight?
E
Well, honestly, I mean, it's. It really just comes down to whoever they bring in. Whoever. It doesn't. It doesn't matter who they bring in, like, as long as the. The players, like, they really buy into being at lsu. Like, you know, you can. You can go to a certain school, you can. You can be from here and be from there, but once you get to where you're at, like, you got to know what the goal is in mind. Like. Like, yeah, you're at this university. Yeah, you're doing all this and that, but the goal should be to get to the next level. So once everybody Come get in the tune with that, like, and really break down. Like, how can we be great? Like, that's. That's what it's going to take. So I don't think it matters, like, who. Who it is or what it takes from the. I'm just saying from a coaching standpoint, like, that doesn't matter. Like, it's the players buying into themselves first and then the Colts, like, just kind of adding on to that.
D
Because you got great facilities, tremendous fan base. Stadium is electric. Death Valley at night. There's nothing like playing in Death Valley at night, man. That's Derek Stingley Jr. The great all Pro cornerback from the Houston, Texas D. Sting, thanks for some time tonight, man.
C
Appreciate that.
D
Continue success, stay healthy. Look, when we talk to you in. In January, I'm gonna be looking at the stats because I know you got three now. I'm like, okay, hey, Ocho, we gotta call him back up. You don't got seven. Oh, yeah.
E
I appreciate y', all, though, man.
D
Appreciate you, man. Congratulations on all the success, continued success. We'll see you down the road, bro.
E
All right, bro.
D
Derek Stingley Jr. Ladies and gentlemen, Eagle fans, Every time we say something about the Eagles, we mention A.J. brown. Y' all making it up. You just want clicks. Oo. You just be. You need to push back against A.J. brown again. Again. Expressed his unhappiness with the Eagles, this time while live streaming, playing matting. Yeah, Ocho.
B
Yeah.
D
Hello. He made his rounds today on social media. AJ Brown doubled down. We normally don't show full two minutes of videos, but here we are.
B
It's not just solely about my situation. I mean, guys, like, obviously I want to win too, you know, And I think if we're. If we're really focused on winning and doing our job, like, we can't just keep slapping the band aid over the defense, doing their job and getting us out of trouble.
E
At what point are we going to.
B
Pick up our slack as an offense that we're saying we're so great, you know, and that's what I'm getting at. It's not about we're not winning or.
D
I don't care about winning.
B
All I care about is stacks. No, it's been week after week. Sometimes we're not contributing, we're not doing our job on offense. So you can't just keep slapping the band aid over there and you expect.
D
To win late late in the year.
B
You think he going to go to it at the end of the year? It's not going to happen.
D
I'm Sorry, it's not going to happen.
B
It's not going to happen. You know, and last year, what it was. Thank you for the ring. But it's a new season. They adapted.
D
We have to adapt, and we have.
B
To continue to, like, get better and try to find new ways. So that's. That's where the frustration comes in. Because it's not about winning, you guys.
D
Like, I want to win.
B
Yes. I want to help contribute as well. Do our thing on offense as well.
E
That's.
B
I think that's fair.
A
Did you feel like you're misunderstood in that?
D
In that I don't care if I'm misunderstood.
B
Like, I stand up.
E
I stand up in front of it.
B
And following that sword over and over again. Like, it's about doing what we're supposed to be doing on offense. And if we are really in this business, we're trying to get better, we got to do what we got to do and not just say, oh, it's.
D
It's about win.
B
So as long as we got the win, it's cool. No, that ain't what we know. You cannot do that better.
D
Not in this league.
B
We got to continue to get better.
D
We got to do outdoor. We have to do on offense to help the defense, to help the special team.
B
Because after the game, I said all the right answers.
E
I still made a story. Right.
B
You know, in that. In that moment where I'm just talking to my friend, having fun with my friend, I'm not apologizing for that, like, like I said, because if you have eyes, you can see that. And so, like, it's not that I was throwing anybody on the bus. I'm literally trying to laugh through this. This is tough, like, but I'm trying to make fun of the situation and to try to get through it. So, I mean, you know, it is what it is, man.
D
Hey, Eagle fans.
B
Hey.
D
Now, as loud as you was talking about, all you try to do is get clicks. All you try to do is get likes. Oo. Not pushing back. Eagle fans, at any point in time, y' all want to jump in the chat and say, oh, we were wrong, because the man told you himself. Hey, now, I want to know one thing. Y' all still believe we're gonna be there next year.
B
No, no, no, no, no. Listen, listen. I said. I. I said a long time ago. Now, there is no pushback because I understand exactly how A.J. brown feels. You look at him, you look at his body language, he's upset. He's very upset. And I like what he said. I Like, one of the keywords, he said, we have to adapt. We have to. Yes, like, the wins is one thing, but thank you for the ring. But in order for us to get back, everybody's caught on to us. There's film out there. There's film out there. There's a reason why they don't look the same offensively, but they are. They are getting the win. They're getting the wins. But for us to continue to have that success, we're going to have to evolve as an offense. We're going to have to adapt to the fact that teams know what to look for with the, with the super bowl champs. And they're playing us a little different now. They're playing us a little different, so we have to evolve as an offense. And it just hasn't, it just hasn't happened. And it probably gonna bite you. It's probably gonna bite you in the ass on the back end. Not right now. Not right now, because you squeezing wins out. But when it gets to the playoffs, when you're playing better teams, it's gonna be, it's gonna be different. When they're not allowing Saquon Barkley to run, what do you have to do? Jalen Hurts is very capable. He's very capable of being able to throw the ball, you know, So, I mean, it's, I, I, I understand his frustrations. And it's, it's coming to a head, huh? It's, it's coming to it. It's like having, it's like, hey, hey, Joe is like having a pimple. That thing ready to pop.
D
Hey, look, Ocho, y' all know it's, it's different, man, when you got that bullseye on your back, bro.
B
Yeah.
D
You know what I mean? Hey, look, you getting everybody's best game, you know what I mean? They not playing. When they come in there and play Philly, bro, you, I'm talking about everybody that dotted their eyes and cross their T. They know everything that's gonna happen, they're not gonna be playing. So you're gonna get everybody's best game, and that's the hardest thing. So I understand, I understand what he's saying, but he definitely got to know that, man. They got the biggest target on their back. They the, they the champs, bro. This what comes with it. You're the measuring stick. Yeah. Because you go to everybody. Guess what? No matter where you play home or, or, or away, you're the super bowl champs. Yeah. So what is everybody saying? Oo. They're measuring themselves to you.
B
What they do against you. Yeah.
E
Yeah.
D
So they beat you. What are they saying? See, I told you. That is the defending super bowl champs. Look at all those great players. And we kick their ass today. There is no reason. There's not a team in this league that we can't beat when we lock in, when we focus and we play our type of game.
B
Yeah.
D
AJ Is absolutely right. I'm not saying AJ Is wrong. My thing is, is that. And Nick Sariana says, well, I'm. I'm kind of getting tired of talking about it. And he is. It's not going away until the offense starts to look better and A.J. brown is involved.
B
Yeah.
D
So you could get tired of talking about it, but until this office starts to look like it did, Ocho, the last half of last year and in the postseason.
B
Yes, sir.
D
It ain't going away.
B
And. And, you know, the. The one thing about it is, is things might change. They might change for the good or they might change for the bad. I mean, the fact that someone's bringing to their attention because we can all see it from the outside looking in. We can see it looking in, and we're not really saying anything. And we're looking at A.J. brown crazy. Because they're winning the games. Yeah, because they're winning the games. But as the season continues to progress, as you get closer to which. In which I consider real football doesn't start until after Thanksgiving, that's That. That's. That's when it's time to get going. That's when. When. When teams start to click and you want that momentum to carry into the playoffs. I'm hoping things change for the better because I want A.J. brown to have success. I want the Eagles to have success, and of course, I want Jalen Brown to continue to silence all his doubters.
D
Jalen hurts.
B
I'm sorry, I'm. Jalen hurts. What I'm thinking about basketball. Yeah. Jalen Hurst continue to silence all his doubters. So, I mean, I understand his frustrations. I've been there as a receiver, obviously, never been on a team of this magnitude that is coming off a Super Bowl, a Super bowl win, championship, for that matter. But I do understand the frustration of wanting to be a part, an intricate part of the offense. You know, I'm not asking for the ball 30, 35 times a game, but just make me feel like you want me, you know, make me feel like you want me. So, I mean, that's pretty much it. So I. I get his frustrations, but I can compartmentalize in a sense and as fans, not. Not really understanding y' all winning. Y' all are winning. How are you fussing when y' all are winning? And I, I understand that was my.
D
That was my only thing. Ocho. Like I said, Ocho. I'm not saying that he's wrong. I'm saying it's going to be hard to get fans to empathize with you.
B
Yeah.
D
Winning the game. So. Because then they look at it like you don't really care about winning. You care more about your stats. So it's this what Fan. I'm saying as a fan. So you would care more that you had nine for one, 140 and two touchdowns and you lost as opposed to having five for 53. It's like, no. And my only thing was, I said, when you make it public like this, yes, you're gonna get a lot of pushback because at the end of the day, the job is to win the game. So if he had kept it, if he had went up, talked to Jay Hurts about it, if he had talked to Sirian and Petula about it and just kept it behind closed doors at some point in time, Mocho, like you said.
B
Hey, he didn't probably. He didn't probably did that already, man. I'm sure he has probably did it. This started last year for sure.
D
You saw him last year.
B
So the fact that nothing has changed now, it's gotten to this point because, well, maybe y' all ain't hearing me. Maybe y' all not understanding where I'm coming from and me wanting to, to, to, to contribute to what we're doing when it comes to some of those wins that we're getting, where I'm just. I'm out here. I'm out here like goddamn Chris a Christmas ornament. So basically, you telling me I'm decoration. So I see both sides. I also understand the business side of things, too, Joe. And now when we talk about, oh, we still winning and I got this 33 million dollar salary and, and that not coming now.
D
33 million dollar receiver. Don't, don't, don't catch 50 passes.
B
Hey, and you know that game they played? I didn't want to play a different game. Well, you don't have to. You're not contributing the way you used to, where it seemed like you lost a step because your number's not what they used to be because your production is falling. Well, you told me it was about wins. So now you don't want to pay me what you're paying me. You want me to Take a pay cut because my production ain't right.
D
Ocho, it's about wins publicly, it's about production privately.
B
Oh, yeah, absolutely. I know that the fans don't understand that, which is why that's where the frustration comes. Comes from. From a player that's active. Because you already know what they f to do.
D
You absolutely, absolutely know. He said he tired of running there and win sprints. Yeah, he get great. All AJ Say, I'm in shape. I only do no cardio on Sunday. I done did cardio Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. I'm good. I. I. Like I said when this first broached up. And looking at his body language, Ocho, my thing is, look, I don't know it all, but having played the game and been around guys, the body language tell you. You hear him talking, he's telling you without actually coming out and trying to say it.
B
Right.
D
But he's like, I'm giving you hint. Sounds like it sounds like. It sounds like AJ Is unhappy with his role in this offense.
B
Yes.
D
But y' all want to make it seem like it's about clicks and light. I'm just basing it on my intimate knowledge, having played the game, having been around guys, and I know the mindset of guys like an A.J. brown. He's a. He's a. He's a humble guy, but he worked his ass off. And he's like, let me. You gave me this money for a reason. Now you got people think I'm out here tricking it off. Cause I ain't. My number is not reflected reflective of the type of salary that you're paying me. It's because y' all not doing what you're supposed to be doing. The Eagles are still going three and out more often than any offense in the NFL since 2014. And they still winning. And they still winning. The defense. Look, the thing is, is that the mark of a good offense on your is what can you get done, what you need to get done when you.
B
Have to, when it matters most. Yeah.
D
So, Joe, when they need a third and five, they get it. When they need that fourth and one and they get that tush push when they got two guys that's in front of the center, that's on the other side of the ball before the center snap the ball, they get it. Their defense is really good. Now, their defense hasn't been as. As dominant like attacking the quarterback. They still. Man, hey, Jalen Phillips gonna play big dividends. You saw. Did you see him how violent? He oo he violent.
B
Oh, yeah.
D
And that's the one thing when you looking for a defensive lineman, Joe. Yeah. Edge rusher or D tackle. Is he violent? How violent is he with his hands? Look at him set the edge. Y' all go watch him. How he locking out. He got. He got the title like this. I. Oh, come here. I don't know where you're going, Josh Jacob, but you can't go without me, Right? He's a hell of a player. He. He. And he played in Fangio's defense, so he knows this defense, so there's really not a learning curve. But AJ Is absolutely right. Yeah. Because when you look at the Seahawks, if you think you're going to hold them to seven points, you look at the Rams, if you think you're going to hold them to seven points, that ain't happening. If you think you're going to hold the Lions to seven points, that ain't happening.
B
Yeah.
D
Because at some point in time, Ocho, you're gonna have to win a game where you really score. 35, 38, 40 points, and then they're gonna come a time Even. Even when we had the 2000 ravens, there was a situation where we had to outscore Jacksonville, and we ended up beating them 38, 35. Yes, there will come a time. Defense is doing outstanding.
B
Yeah.
D
But A.J. and my only thing is that I said this when it first happened. Oh, Jasper bad. Oh, I wish he could have kept this private because it's going to look like. It's going to look like he cared more about production than wins. Man, everybody like this, dog. Where's the game? Well, okay, because I'm gonna come in here. When y' all tell me when I ain't got my 55 passes for 700 yards, I'm gonna say, hey, but we won. Yeah, my ass off for Saquon. Yeah.
B
Yeah. That ain't work.
D
And y' all gonna look at me crazy.
B
You know what? Comparison is the thief of joy, too, Joe. No, when you look at what's going on with the Rams and how they. They. Their offenses, you look at JSN over there in Seattle with Sam Donald is a completely different. I mean, in comparing and comparing the two to the Eagles, it's. It's a thief of joy, and it make you sad as a receiver. When you look at what JSN is able to do, what you look at Devonte Adams and Puk Nakua are doing over there, and it's kind of different because that offense over there in. In Philly is not. Is not run like that. So I. I listen, I totally understand Young Bull frustrations, man. And I, I hope, I hope, I hope things do get better. I'm not sure they will because this has been going on since last year. It's tough. He's in a. He's in a tough spot. He's in a tough spot, and people, especially those that are fans of the game, probably won't understand it. As a former player, as a former receiver, as a former elite receiver, just not know anybody, you know, definitely understand where he's coming from. I. I do.
D
I do. Can I ask you a question, Ocho?
B
Yes, sir.
D
You and Joe.
B
What's that?
D
If you making your money in stocks and bonds, you making millions and millions of stocks and bonds, it's gonna get hard. It's gonna be hard for somebody to get you to invest in real estate. The Eagles say we winning and winning. How we deviate. Yay. And all of a sudden try to force feed you the ball.
B
Right.
D
Cause we're having success now. If they're not having success, it's easy. The fans are also going to be on AJ's side.
C
Yes.
D
But because they're winning, it's hard to get fans to come on your side. Joe, when you're winning and you're not getting the numbers that correlates with that winning. Yeah, we sell. Me, too.
B
Yeah.
D
All right. Damn crying. Ain't nobody care nothing about that.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
D
Hey, listen.
B
Yeah.
D
I say this has been going on since last year. I bet he.
B
Oh, yeah.
D
I bet he held it in as long as he could.
B
Yeah.
D
That's why he read books on the sideline.
B
I'm trying to find things to distract me. I'm trying to find and do things in game that are going to distract me. The fact that I'm not being productive.
D
Because if I don't read this book, I'm gonna pour out all this Gatorade on the sideline. Ain't nobody going to have insta drink.
B
My baby watching. Hey, Kennedy, I love you. I love you. You should be in bed. I think they're school tomorrow, if I'm not mistaken. But I love you and thank you for supporting Daddy. What up, twin?
D
This is crazy. I can't believe they're going three and out more than any offense since 2014. And they're seven and two.
B
Yeah.
D
That's the mark of a really, really good football team. Yeah, they getting it done. Yes. Do y' all think about oo? They're seven and two and they're going out at a high clip. Of three and outs than any offense since 2014. You do realize that we saw about five or six years of the jets offense, and they're worse than the Jets.
B
Yeah. Oh, that's funny. How that work, huh?
D
They worse than your Bengals. They ended up getting Joe Burrow. Oh, Joe. Your Bengals got Joe Burrow.
B
No need to throw that in there. There was no need, but I had to.
D
I had to. I had to give. You know, Ocho, we like to do context and perspective because optics, you know, it matters, right?
B
You're right, you're right, you're right.
D
And for them to have the level of success that they're having with the amount of three and outs. But like I said, the mark of any great unit, can you get done what you need to get done when you absolutely got to have it. When they need to convert a third down, they get it. They had third and 12. Boom. Picked it up. They had 39. Picked it up. Fourth and one. They get the two is push. They pick it up.
B
Hey, you know what else, too? It come down to the quarterback, too. The quarterback is a phenomenal decision maker. He does not put the effing ball in harm's way.
D
You can't.
B
He don't put the ball. He don't put it. He. Decision making is phenomenal. If I got to check it out, I'm gonna check it down. If it ain't open, I ain't throwing it. I don't care who mad. I don't care who get upset. I'm not having no turnovers. I'm not putting my team behind the eight ball.
D
You can't. When you go three and out, the last thing, when you have the rate of three and outs that they have, the last thing you do o is turn the football over. Yeah, that's a recipe. A great grandma's recipe to get your ass tore. All right, we got a very special guest joining us. Texas A M wide receiver Casey Conception. 40 receptions, 629 yards, eight TDs on the season.
F
Casey, how you doing?
D
Amazing.
B
Hey, let me hold somebody.
D
I got you.
F
I got you. I got you.
D
So coming into the season, kc, what were you go. What were your. What was the team goals? What did you guys want to accomplish? There's 12 teams in the playoffs a the SEC title. So when. When. When Coach Elko came up there and you guys assembled together, what were some of the goals that he wanted you guys to get done this year?
F
He wanted us to be in Atlanta, you know, he wanted us to be there for the SEC Championship, you know, and then, and then, and then eventually in Miami. So.
D
Thus, so far, so good. You just went down to Miami, thump them. You got South Carolina at home, you got Sanford at home and everything that you possibly hope for, probably going to come down to you and Texas on ABC at the, at Darrell Royal Stadium. But you can't think about that. You're thinking about South Carolina now. What do you guys need to do? Cuz you guys have played extremely well. Your quarterback is probably going to be in New York as a, as one of the guys for the Heisman Trophy. Marcel Reed is playing unbelievable. What is it the connection with you guys? Because, hey, bro, you doing it, you doing your thing. You don't. You got 40 catches, but you got eight touchdowns. So once every five times you touch the ball, you, you out.
E
Yes, sir.
F
Most definitely. Yes, sir.
D
Getting to it. Got you, man, got. So let me ask you, let me ask you this. As I mentioned, your quarterback, Marcel Reed, he's a, a guy known as a more of a running quarterback. But his ability this year to throw the football because you, yeah, you guys run it, but he's dropping dimes to you and the other receivers. What have you seen in the growth and the maturation of him?
F
Yes, sir. So coming in, you know, you know, we all heard that he wasn't a pastor. He wasn't. And then, you know, up on my official visit here, I had came to see him throw and I'm like, dang, like he can actually throw the ball, you know, but, but you know, they were just letting us know that, you know, they, that they need some more weapons, you know, inside the offense that can create these big plays for them. So that's all we needed.
B
Hey, what has it been like for you as far as the season's going so far? Obviously as a receiver before every season we set, you know, long term, short term goals. We short, long, we set long term goals as well. Have, have those go. Have you met those goals yet and your expectations that you had, you set out for yourself before the season?
F
Yes, I was definitely, you know, I came here to, you know, they won a championship, you know. You know, of course, you know, we always got our personal goals, you know, but it's about the team first. You know, I came here, you know, to win a championship and whatever they need me to do to do that, I'm gonna get it done. So let's do it.
D
Casey, you, you, you kind of remind me of myself because when I was growing up, when I got anxious, I sped up my Talk. And I would have a speech impediment. I talk with a lisp. I start. I get anxious. And my grandfather would say, you don't have to be in a hurry to speak. How have you been able to. How have you been able to, like, embrace who you are? Like, okay, this is who I am. Because if you. If you take ownership of your vulnerabilities and your insecurities, no one can make you feel inferior about them. So how have you been able to embrace who you are? This is a part of who you are. But, you know, as you go to the next level, you're going to have to get better and better, and. And I'm sure you will, if that's something that you're working on.
F
Yes, sir. So, you know, I've been stuttering all my life. You know, my dad, he said is also so, you know, just, you know, having conversations with him, you know, and. And seeing how he has dealt with it, and then, you know, being a. Being a role model or somebody that these little kids can, you know, look up to, you know, if they have a speech impediment or if they have trouble, you know, talking, you know, so, yeah, that's probably.
D
Do. Do you. Do you get anxious when you have to speak publicly or you speak in front of a crowd or you talk in front of the team? Do you get anxious? You, like, don't call on me. No, I don't want to give no pregame beat.
E
I don't want to give no pimp talk.
D
I just want to go out here.
E
And do my job.
F
I just want to go out there, play, man. You feel me?
D
Like, I like.
F
I like, talk, like here and there. You feel me? But it's not like no big old speeches or nothing.
D
You a. You ain't gonna give me no. Remember the Titan speech. Also, if I'm not. Listen, correct me if I'm wrong. You love to cook, and you cook a lot for your teammates.
B
So.
D
So what. What. What's your signature deal?
F
All right, so I'll probably have the guys come over, right? I'll probably make some salmon on the Blackstone, probably make chicken breasts on the Blackstone. Make yams, Mac and cheese, probably. Little Rock.
B
Hey, yo.
E
Come on.
D
Yeah. Oh, you.
B
Hey, boy. You know, I'm a girl, too. I went to school for that. Yeah, I went to culinary. I went to culinary art school about two years for. And I. Yeah, I got kicked out. You know.
D
Go ahead, go ahead.
F
All my life, you know, I grew up watching my father, my mom, and my Auntie, you know, Paula, you know, cook and, you know, I just, you know, to watch them. And then as I got him, and then as I have gotten older, you know, I'm on my own now, so, you know, I gotta make my own meals now, so.
D
You'Ll be parking that stipend. You'll be pocketing your money that you're supposed to be spending on food.
F
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
B
Listen, this is a good thing. This is what a lot of people watching, you know, especially for us fellas. Man, you got. That's a great tool. That's a great tool to have your toolbox. To be able to cook, you know, not just for yourself, but you're not.
C
You married?
F
Nah, nah, nah.
D
You got a lady, though. You see, I ain't paused, but I got. I got somebody.
B
Okay, okay, okay, okay. But that's so great.
D
For Valentine's. Valentine's Day.
F
What you cook for your lady Valentine's Day? What I'm gonna probably cook.
B
Yeah, yeah, give it. Give us a good one. Hey, hold on, let me write this.
F
Down before you go Valentine's Day, you know. All right, look. All right, look. I'm gonna try a little mashed potatoes, you know, with the little steak bites, you know, with the.
D
Okay, okay.
E
Write that down for me.
B
You feel me?
F
Write that down for me.
E
Okay?
C
Yeah.
D
Okay, hold on. The snowflake. The snowflake steak, that's so buttery it melts in your mouth. The snowflake cake, yo. You feel me?
E
Yeah.
D
And then we go.
F
And then we go the medium well, though.
D
You feel me?
F
We go medium well.
C
Medium well.
B
Okay.
D
Now you talking.
C
Okay.
F
And then we'll probably put a little asparagus on the side. Feel me?
D
I just want you to know. I just want you to know, hopefully, Casey, before you, you know, you already done got your. Your pleasant. You done got everything you need to get done before you feed her this meal, cuz she going straight. You give a steak bites. Mashed potatoes. Yeah. Hey, she gonna hit you with the step. I just thought, just so you know. Yes, I know.
B
Hey.
D
Hey, Casey, tell me something. Who you model your game after?
F
So growing up, you know, I watched.
E
A lot of.
F
You know, I watched a lot of table highlights at West. West Virginia. And then now. And then now I would say probably Jamar Chase. I like to watch Jamar take, you know, his, you know, after. After the catchability. So definitely.
D
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because, you know, what you do, because you're tremendous once you get the ball in your hand. And I. I like Watching you in the slot. But I thought you should have had three touchdowns. Now one day you dropped that one cross. You better. Hey, rattles, it was dying too. You remember when.
F
I know what you're talking about.
D
Yeah, it was right on.
F
About that one.
D
So let. What was your. What was your personal goals coming into the season?
F
So coming into the season, you know, I just. I just wanted to, you know, bounce back, you know, from my sophomore year, you know, and just. And just let the world know, you know, that I'm. That I'm one of. That I'm one of the best players in college football.
B
Absolutely. Absolutely. Hey, you gotta do me one. You got to talk a little bit more. You got to let them know this me, I'm here. I've arrived. I'm him, you know, and if you don't want to do it, I do it for you. It ain't no problem.
E
Say this.
F
I got you bet.
E
Say less.
D
Yes, sir. Yeah, that's what got me. And had a speech impediment. Then I started talking and the more I talked, I like. Yeah, I wanted to hear exactly what I was saying. So I slow down and I'd be like, you suck. You know, you. That's how I got him. So that's all you got to do. Casey, man. Casey. Hey, man. Congratulations on the season you're having. Keep it going. You're a couple of games away from your ultimate destiny. One of your destinations is being in Atlanta. SEC championship game. Stay healthy and hey, once you guys get to Atlanta for the SEC championship game, come back and talk to us and tell her how you.
E
Yes, sir.
D
We have to come down. We're gonna have to come down. Mashed potatoes, jams. We got to come down there and see what you see. What you.
B
Hey.
F
Yes, sir.
D
All right. We gonna see if you cook it like that. Cuz we gonna put that. We gonna stream. And I'm. I'm gonna be one thou with him now. I'm gonna say this is some boo. I appreciate you, Jordan. That's KC consent. Thank you guys. Again, one of the wide receivers. 40 catches, 625 yards, 8 touchdowns. Congratulations thus far in the season. Keep it going.
