Ocho yo Phoenix Sun 5 Booten holds him. Yeah, the Suns became the third team in NBA history to start the season 81 or better and missed the playoffs. They joined the 1970 Detroit Pistons and the 200102 Milwaukee Bucks. KD is looking to leave the Suns. Ojo who should be held accountable for the sun's failures?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
But you look at before KD got there, were the Suns playing well? Were they failing before KD got there?
Co-Host
Probably got there. What day they was in the NBA. In the NBA Finals.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
NBA Finals win.
Co-Host
They lost to 21. They lost to the Bucks and in the NBA Finals. And then they lost in what? They beat the Clippers one year. Well, that was the year they went to the finals. The next year they beat the Lakers. And then didn't they lose two of the Suns? I mean, the Nuggets, they lost to Luka, to Dallas. They was the number one seed that ended up losing to Luca.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
You know what, when it comes down to it, I'm assuming you can. Some of the blame does go on the players. Some of the blame can't go on Kevin Durant. I'm not sure how much of it you can put on one individual player. When collectively, obviously there is a group of five that have to play and have to gel together. You think obviously when you have these super teams with Bradley, Bill and Devin Booker and Kevin Durant coming together, you expect the results. Obviously show on the court. Obviously the maturation, it didn't work. The relationship between him and Bowden. How do you say the coach's name?
Co-Host
Boonehoser?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Boontonholzer. Obviously things didn't work, especially the way it started out. It started out really good. Obviously 8 and 1, but you know, not making the playoffs or playing for that matter. I mean, it's, it's, it's horrible. Everybody has to be held accountable. Obviously most of the, most of the, the criticism and the critiquing will go to the superstar players, especially one of the greatest scorers of all time. So I guess he can, he can, he can, he can, he can take that criticism. Obviously them not making the playoffs. He's easy. He would be a part of the problem if he wasn't part of the goddamn solution, for that matter.
Co-Host
I mean, this is the fourth coach in four years. They fired Marty Williams. They fired who? The Lakers coach. Vogel.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Vogel.
Co-Host
Vogel.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Vogel.
Co-Host
They fired Bud. They could fire Bud.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah.
Co-Host
They about to be on their fourth coaches now. Bud got three more years at 10 million. Vogel had several years at like 8 million and I know have tons of money, but you gotta, you gotta stay the course A little longer than a year.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, but that's the problem when it comes to owners, obviously, in life. In life, the way they fix things. Most of the time, when you see a pattern like this where you keep firing coach after coach after coach after coach is sometimes you just throw money at it and you think it fixed the problem. That's how it works in the business world. When it comes to the sports world, you throw your money at it and then you allow it time to manifest. You let it marinate for a little bit until it can jail, until it.
Co-Host
All works out, I believe. I think the only player that's going to be there is Devin Booker. He's the player that started there. I think KD is going to be gone. Bradley Bill is going to be gone. Now, Bradley Bill is a little bit more tougher than KD for the simple fact Bradley Beal has no trade clause. So he has to, he has to sign off on where you're going to send it. Yeah, kd, you know they're going to be a lot of teams, but you got to replace what you gave up. Yeah, you gave up a bunch of first round picks and players.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Well, you, you're saying replace, you won't. You will never get the value of what you got for Katie. But you can't get something.
Co-Host
Yeah, well, you got to get what you got to refill the conference up. You got to get draft capital back.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Right.
Co-Host
It's tough, man. It's tough because KD played for all that. He came half the year with Monty. They fired Monty after the season, hired Vogel, fired Vogel, hired Buddenhoser, fired him. Now they're about to be on their fourth coach, but KD won't be there up under him. I think Book stays. I think Book is the only piece that stays. They're going to try to move, but that's what happens. People just think it's more to building a team than putting three guys that can put the ball in the basket.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Right?
Co-Host
And that's what everybody think. Just oh, oh, KD. Oh, book, man. Katie gonna give you 27. Book gonna give you 27. Bradley Bill gonna give you 27. Okay, that's fine. Well and good. Until they don't do that, eh? Because they don't fit the pieces. Don't fit. O Joe.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Right. Hey, you know, when you think about it, obviously you say those names. You say those names and understanding what they can do, they know being able to score at all three levels, put the ball on the floor, catch and shoot, pop and shoot, whatever it may be. I'm thinking, well, hell, man, they finna be. Boy, they gonna be. They gonna be animal.
Co-Host
It'll be the same thing if you put Chase, Jefferson and Tyreek all on the same team. You got one ball. One ball.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, listen, just the thought of that.
Co-Host
Yeah, just the thought of that. Strike up the band and see, you look at the Patriots, the pieces always fit. One guy got. Got a lot of. Mostly the catches. And then everybody fit in after that, right? Look, you get kd. Who's kd? He's an mvp. Finals mvp. Four time scoring champ, right? Okay. He really doesn't need the ball. Bradley, Bill and Booker, they need the ball. But what they needed, see, they put. They shifted Book to the point. He can play it. But Book's a two. He don't need to be initiating the offense. If you look at Book, he had his best years. He had CP3. CP3 was a facilitator. CP3 knew how to get everybody where they wanted the ball, where they needed the ball to be the most impactful, right? But when you have all this, you got $150 million in payroll with three guys. Ocho something gotta go. Yeah, you gotta. You gotta. Hey, you got this big fancy house. You buy a big fancy house and you on a budget. Well, guess What? Be like O'Shell and Sharp. Ain't had nothing but a TV and then the bed in the bedroom. Come to the house age you, you'll be sitting on the floor like Indian style. That's all I got for you. That's what I had. That's. That's all I had. I overextended myself. I got a house that was outside of my budget, right? So it wasn't no sense in me going more over budget and putting furniture, a whole bunch of furniture in there. I got a bed and I got a tv.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
That's it.
Co-Host
Let me tell you how long ago this being. Ocho, I know you didn't know this, but Mitsubishi used to make TVs.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I remember that. I had a Mitsubishi.
Co-Host
Yeah, sure did.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Got in Mitsubishi.
Co-Host
Yep.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I ain't heard that in a long time either.
Co-Host
Oh, it was a. It was a tube. It was a tube tv. You know, I didn't have. I ain't had the money to put no, you know, back then. Yeah. TV that went on the wall with 10, 15, $20,000, baby. I said, oh, no. Put this thing up on. Putting this thing up on the chair. I can see. Cause you know, we growing. We put it on a chair.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Phone booth.
Co-Host
You had A little tv. Or you had the big foam. That was called Pro models.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, we put. We put our TVs, obviously, at grandma place. We had the crates. Remember the.
Co-Host
Yeah. Egg crate, Milk crates.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, we put.
Co-Host
We.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
We put out. We put out right on the.
Co-Host
Oh, you had a floor model tv, Ocho. Yeah, Floor model tv. Oh, that was a picture. Yeah, but they have no sound. The little one had the sound. See how we do that, Ocho? See how we did that right there? Get us on one more flow model tv. Y'all remember Sony, Sylvania, Xena? That was the big flow model Xena.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Hey, but my grandma had the big Xena.
Co-Host
Remember? With the rca, with the megaphone, with the dog? Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Hey, that's so bad.
Co-Host
Hold on.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I bet you remember the satellites, though, the big satellites in your yard. Yeah, yeah. My granddaddy had one of them big old satellites, man.
Co-Host
Yes, I. I remember that like yesterday.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Oh, that's the best.
Co-Host
But it's just because every. I mean, if you go back and look at the beginning of the year, the. The Suns were 20 to 1 odds to win the NBA title. They had better odds than everybody. Damn near everybody, except probably Boston.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Boston.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
All right. That's crazy.
Co-Host
It's just a bad. I don't know. But where does KD go?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Miami. You know, I'm always saying Miami. Now, obviously, you're gonna have to get.
Co-Host
What are y'all gonna give up to get him?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I don't know. That's not my. That's up to Pat Riley and Mickey Harrison. I'm not sure what that looks like, but as long as we keep. Bam, we gonna be all right. I think in finding some other pieces that we can get from somewhere else, we got that. We got to have some. But I'm just. I think it would be great. It would be a great place. I think Katie might have a house down here. I'm not sure I've seen him down here.
Co-Host
You got that kind of money? You got a house everywhere. Yeah. Do it quite well for himself.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah. Yeah. I just. I just. Listen, I. We need a star. We need to do what the Lakers do. Always find a way to pull one out our. I was getting ready to curse. I'm not going to curse. Pull one out our hat. We need to do that. Pat Riley needs to do that just to get. Just if. Have you seen the attendance at the games? It's not. It's not what it. It's not what it should be.
Co-Host
First of all, they don't come to. They don't come till late anyway. Y'all don't be there to talk. Look, I done been to Miami Heat games. I went for the championship game.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah.
Co-Host
And at the start of the game, I'm like, well, damn, do y'all really know this is the NBA Finals?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, yeah, you're right. You're right. You right.
Co-Host
And remember, they was leaving in that game six before Ray hit the shot. Hell happened. Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
And they tried to come running back.
Co-Host
Try to come back in now. No, that ain't gonna happen. I'm trying to say, first of all, there are only a handful of teams that have the draft capital that they're gonna need to get kd. And the question is, are they willing to break it up? Okay. Has the capital.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Who?
Co-Host
OKC Thunder. They got like 13 first round picks.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Hey, can you imagine? Can you imagine SGA and Kevin Durant?
Co-Host
Yeah, we said the same thing about Devin Booker and Kevin.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Okay, see, there you go.
Co-Host
We said the same thing about James Harden and Joel Embiid. Right. Can you imagine? Now James Harden has found the fountain of youth. He's playing. He look like the James Harden the Bowl. Yes, that he does. Kawhi got those knees healthy. He looks phenomenal. I just. I don't. KD doesn't strike me as a guy that. That, that. That live with regret or looks back on. But probably. Maybe a better move would probably been going to the Knicks.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Hey, like he should have done the first time instead of. Instead of going to Brooklyn.
Co-Host
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Maybe going to the Knicks from the jump. I don't know. It's too late now. Right? They might be an option. I don't know. I'm just saying, instead of going to Brooklyn.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Right.
Co-Host
Maybe go to the. Go to the Knicks. Maybe things would have been different. We'll never know. We'll never know. We just know this has gone horribly wrong. There's no way around it. Look, we don't have to blame anybody, but we can say this unequivocally. This was terrible.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, it was. It was.
Co-Host
Thunder filled Dylan Jones car with packing peanuts because he failed his rookie duties keeping the team. Speaker charged. Ocho, check out the video. Yo, Dylan.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Popcorn.
Co-Host
Yeah. What is that?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
That came out of there?
Co-Host
Make sure that speaker charge packing peanuts. You don't like when you go to UPS store, stuff like that. FedEx. Hey, do your rookie duties, rook. Do your duties, bro. Hold on. He better have a service crew come detailing to get that out of there. Said, better be glad they put that. Better be glad they put that pop. Put popcorn in there. Yo. You know they used to put popcorn in there.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Hey, that boy, that's gonna mess up your. I'm not sure what type of interior he would have had if they had put popcorn. Listen, a little Styrofoam thing. That's cool. That's not bad. That's not hard to get out. Obviously, it's. It's going to be a pain. He's not going to do it himself, obviously, but still. Oh, man, Unc. They got me by accident. Didn't know my windows were down. When I was a rookie with the Bengals. I don't know who did it still to this day, but they took the fire extinguisher and they. They let it off on the outside, not realizing my windows was down because it was nighttime. They had snuck out the. They had snuck out the. I forgot where we were at. We were in Kentucky at training camp and they snuck outside and sprayed my whole car up. Didn't realize my windows was down. My whole inside. I had the IS 300. The little Lexus.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
With the suede interior.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
They done messed up all my interior, man. Messing around with the fire extinguisher.
Co-Host
Yeah. Oh, they get you. They take them. Rookie duty. Serious.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah. Very, very, very, very.
Co-Host
Donuts, breakfast, sandwich, chicken to the plane.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah. When it's time to leave. When you travel, don't forget that Popeyes. The lineman. I never forget. Don't forget that Popeyes.
Co-Host
Popeyes. Hey, they send y'all. They send you all over the damn place. Got you bringing ribs and sweating up. Sweating suit hanging off. Hey, I don't think you'll make that mistake again. But it's almost over. Yeah, it's almost over. You only got like another month and a half or until you run into the Lakers. They seem to be over with. That'd be the end of that. Colorado is retiring Shadors number two and Travis Hunter's number 12. The school announced number two and 12 will officially be untouchable. The haters are out in full force. Many pointed out that Florida hasn't even tired Tebow and he wants two national championship and a Heisman. Random. I played with 15 at Texas Tech, nine at LSU. Two of the most historic quarterbacks in college football and neither had their jersey retired by. See, you basing what somebody else got based on what somebody else didn't get. Gets in trouble every time.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
All the time.
Co-Host
Gets in trouble every time. I can't worry about who. Jerk. Hey, I did what I did. Savannah State was stolen up for me, they retired my jersey. I'm humble, I'm honored. But if they had, what was that going to do? I mean, I'm just trying to figure out. Okay. I don't. But why. Who cares?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Ocho, Right, Right. I mean, listen, they decided to retire. No traffic.
Co-Host
What LSLU does at LSU, what Florida does in Florida, how did that impact Colorado?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
It doesn't. It doesn't at all. But I know one thing. When you think about schools like lsu, think about schools like Florida. Well, more so LSU in that matter.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
If they get to retire in jerseys.
Co-Host
They run out of jerseys.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
They wouldn't have no jerseys. They ain't gonna have no jerseys.
Co-Host
Yes. When you do. Yes, yes. I mean, I could. I understand. You know, Savannah State only had a handful. You know, even Grambling. All the great players that came out of Grambling. Come on, man.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Some good ones.
Co-Host
It's so funny because, you know, back in the day, that's where all the black players came from because they were so integrated. Before they were integrated. You had to go get a guy from black college football. If that's what you. But I was like, bro, come on.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, it is what it is. Again, I. I will always say, that will always be my favorite line, which is why I never compare any, anything, anything, anything, ever, ever. I've always been this way. I never compare myself one.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Worry about what they doing. Worry about what they're gonna do. Because comparison is a thief of joy. If you live your life comparing to what other people have going on, boy, you're gonna always be sad. You ain't gonna be mad because they're gonna always. They're gonna always be someone doing better than you. Always. No matter what, focus on yourself. Put them blinders on like a horse in a Kentucky Derby. Right? Just you. That's it.
Co-Host
Right.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
One lane. Stay. Stay out of other people's lane.
Co-Host
Well, you see. Well. Well, see, sometimes when you start looking, and then when it doesn't go, okay, that's how they feel about him over there.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Right? Right.
Co-Host
I don't know this. I don't know his situation over there. Clearly, they hold him in very high regards.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yes, sir.
Co-Host
Just because they hold him in high regards, oh, you automatically assume that they're supposed to hold you like that? No, baby, you don't have that relationship.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
It's different.
Co-Host
It's very different.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Very different.
Co-Host
Jerry said, Zach Martin. I think he's going to put Zach Martin in the ring of fame next year. Huh? For what? I mean, there are a lot of great blue Cowboys there Are a lot of guys in the hall of Fame, right? Bob Lilly, Randy White, Roger Staubach. It was more than a year before they got their number put up in the, in the stadium. Okay, That's Jerry's decision. That's somebody else decision. Yeah. Somebody else might have to wait 5, 10, 15 years.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
You know, anything when it comes to Jerry now, you got to take whatever you say with a grain of salt now.
Co-Host
Right? Okay. Alabama ain't retired. Okay, I get it. Alabama. Alabama, probably. I don't think of anybody number that I can think of off the top of my head retired at Alabama. They've had some great ones. Listen, they had Joe Neymar, they had Bart Starr, they had Derek Thomas. They've had some unbelievable players come out of there.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Hold on. And that's another school.
Co-Host
Now.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
You get to retire some of the greats that came out of Alabama and they won't have no football team or jerseys.
Co-Host
Usc.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
No, today, that's another school.
Co-Host
Ohio State, Michigan. What are you gonna say? Oh, dang, he retired. Tom Brady jersey.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah. Come on now.
Co-Host
But Tom Brady, Look, Tom was good, but Tom wasn't like, like Tebow or like Cam in college. Right now you get to the NFL. I mean, you should. If anybody comes to New England and ask for that number, if they even asked to take a picture of it, you should cut them on the spot.

This is today.
Savannah Guthrie
And no matter what the day holds, we come to the Today show for all of it.
Co-Host

Savannah Guthrie
Because today is where it's all happening. We get the best start to every morning because we start it together.
Co-Host
Watch the Today show with Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin, weekdays at 7:00am on NBC. Ah, some things like, you know, seven in Denver, 13 in Miami, 16 in. 16 and 80.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah.
Co-Host
In. In San Fran. Come on. What we doing here, Ojo?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Hold on, hold on. 85 in Cincinnati. Come on now.
Co-Host
Isaac Curtis had that number.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, that's my dog. Isaac Curtis, my dog. But listen, 85 resonates globally. I understand it resonates with y'all, but.
Co-Host
I'm old enough to remember Isaac Curtis. That's why.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, listen, Isaac changed the game. Now, I know about. I watched film.
Co-Host
I watched Downtown. Freddie Brown.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Oh, man. What you know about Downtown? Downtown? You from the crib, man.
Co-Host
Yeah, he went to the U. Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Eddie Brown from down here.
Co-Host
Yeah. And plus now Oklahoma, with all them Heisman trophy winning quarterbacks. Here's what it is. Each school is different. Each school has a different criteria. My brother had his number two retired to South Carolina the year. Hey, the year after. I mean, he stopped retired it. I don't know a whole lot of people that got the number. I think George Rogers, he won the Heisman Trophy. I think George has his retired. I don't. I don't know if I'm trying to think anybody else. I don't know if Jadavian might have his number retired clowning.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Okay.
Co-Host
Okay. Yeah. So they ain't got a whole lot. Nobody. Well, I don't know. But no, like if. I mean, sometimes people like when DeShawn went to Clemson, Steve Fuller wore number four. That number was retired. DeSean reached out. They pulled. He gave him his blessing. Yes.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah.
Co-Host
Same thing with Peyton when he went to Denver. Eighteen was in the Frank. Chip had it. He reached out to his family. They said to be honor Peter War. Boom. Put it back. So classic. Okay. Yeah, yeah. When? I. I don't know. Like I said, I don't. I promise you I'm going go upstairs and I'm gonna go to sleep this time and. Nope. And later daytime. And I don't. I don't need. I don't. I don't think about stuff like this, Ocho. I don't get. I. I mean, I don't know why people get mad at stuff like this.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Right. No reason to. No reason at all.
Co-Host
I mean, yeah, they're really. They're really. I mean, they're really mad about this.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Oh, yeah, Absolutely. Absolutely. You know why? You know why? We don't need to get into why. But obviously, again, comparing. Well, these players, we feel they were much greater at these institutions and these entities when they played. And their jury's not retired. But why do you deserve to have. Why does it matter? For one, you didn't like those individuals in the first place. And the same people complaining. The same people that are complaining during season and in season.
Co-Host
And you ain't even going to school there. How you complain about somebody else school. And you ain't go there.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
There you go.
Co-Host
Now, I would like with him, you know, to give my number to somebody really good to make it look good.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Put that two on.
Co-Host
Where they put that 84. No, you can't get two. Two is the. No, that ain't happening. And before I left, they retired number three. Me and my brother wore three in high school. You couldn't get that number either, so. But no. 2. No, that ain't happening. Why would you even want that?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Listen, if I was. If I was a youngster like coming up, coming in right now and, you know, going to Savannah State, you might want to let me wear that, too.
Co-Host
I'm not gonna do it.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Who. What you mean? What you mean? You might want to not. What you talking about, man. Listen, I'd make that too look better, but I mean, listen, you were that boy, but I'm just saying, a young me coming up going to Savannah State during this time right now. Well, you might want to have me because I'd be out there.
Co-Host
40 touchdowns in 39 games.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
How many? 40, but two. That's. Back then. I might get 60 with what I know now. Yeah.
Co-Host
I think, man, if I like. Hold on, man. If. Nor after my rookie year, I was like, man, knowing What I know now, if I can go back to College, I average 25 touchdowns a season.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Boy, it's amazing. If only we knew what we knew now and were able to play again like we were in our prime, our younger days. Man, please.
Co-Host
Look. And plus I think didn't Mahomes. Didn't Mahomes, they got the stadium or something named after Mahomes at Texas Tech or something. They were his paraphernalia. Adidas Mahomes. Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I mean, well, that made. That makes sense. I know no one can complain and say anything about anything regarding my home.
Co-Host
Yeah. I don't care who care about the Texas King. They're not better than my homeboy. I don't know who came before him or after him, but he the greatest.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Unless you the Jesus of Nazareth. Unless you're the Jesus of Nazareth and you don't win the Texas second play quarterback, there will be no comparison.
Co-Host
His logo is on the field, Ocho. But I think they got a deal now with. They got a deal with Adidas. Right? Okay. Yeah, I was thinking. Yeah, they signed a 10 year deal. Ocho. Travis Hunter says he would quit football if he can't play both sides. He said an NFL team told him he had to focus on wide receiver or cornerback and not play both. It would be game over for him. It's never playing football. It's never playing football again. Because I've been doing this my whole life and I love being on the football field. I feel like I can dominate on each side of the ball. So I really enjoy doing it.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Listen, he's made it clear. He's made it abundantly clear.
Co-Host
Yep.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
If a team is willing to draft him, you understand what he wants. He's voiced it many of times. He said it many of times. He has belief. Belief is something. That's what it all starts with. When it comes to playing any sport or doing anything. If he believes he can do it. If you know you're going to draft him after he's already said what he said, don't let there be any confusion. Don't let there be any confusion. And he already told you what his wishes are, what he's always done. If you don't want. If you want a player that's going to focus on one particular position, then draft one that can only focus on one particular position.
Co-Host
I think team is going to give him. I don't think he's going to play both sides of the ball as much as he played it in college.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
No, probably not. But I think they will grant him his wishes.
Co-Host
Yeah, I think they'll give him an opportunity. Absolutely. And they should. Yeah, they should. They should give an opportunity to play both sides of the ball and see how impactful he can be playing it. Oh, Joe. Cam Ward basically confirms that he's going to be drafted by the Titans. While playing Fortnite, Chad asked him, who's your top four running backs in the league right now? He said, Tony Pollard and Tyjay Spears. Ward is clearly about team Titan.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, that was a good one. That was a good one. That was a good one.
Co-Host
And look, they've canceled their workouts for the next two, three, four drop top prospects. Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
So dead giveaway. They give away.
Co-Host
Caleb Williams admits he cried after games this season. Losing in Chicago was brutal. I'll be honest with you, I've never lost this much. When I got home, I got my bed. I just drop tears. I was just so beat up mentally, spiritually. He later said, I think the NFL game has become very friendly and I don't necessarily want to be friends because I want to keep that competitive advantage. Oo. Yeah. What you think?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I mean, I like it, man. We've seen, we've seen the cry in the stands after USC game on how much it meant to him. Obviously, they won so much at usc. He was used to winning. And now coming to a structure environment at the highest level with the 1 percenters is not as easy as it was in college. You're going to have your ups and downs right now. The difference is, what he has to understand is most of the wins are going to be in his hands. He can be responsible for them winning all the time because he has the ball most of the time. So it's based on his decision making and what he decides to do with the ball. Now, with a coach like Ben Johnson and having DJ Moore and the rest of that group collectively, you can do some great things because I think Caleb Williams is special. I think he's special.
Co-Host
Huh? I agree. Oh, yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
He's special in some of the things that he can do. You know, as a quarterback, he's very gifted, and I think he has the right, right person in Ben Johnson and the rest of that staff to get the most out of, out of him and the potential that he possesses. So I don't think there will be that many tears this coming season. That's a very, very, very difficult division that the Bears are in. So we'll see. We'll see what happens.
Co-Host
Yes, Ocho. The Dolphins are looking to trade Jalen Ramsey. Chris Greer said He thinks it's time for them both to move on separately.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Okay. I'm not. I have no. I have no problem with that. And the only reason they want to move on is because of salary. They just want to get that money off their books. They think they slick, but what they should do if they knew what they were doing. And I love Jalen Ramsey. Jalen Ramsey, to me, is still a top five, top five corner in this NFL, especially when it comes to playing man to man, bump and run off, whatever it may be, very, very adequate and still good at what he does. I think he should make a move to safety. I think it would be dope, especially going into the back end. I think the McCourdian did it as well. The McCourties started out as corners, and then as they got into their 30s, they went to the safety position. And I think it can be a very viable opt option on another team somewhere else playing the safety position.
Co-Host
I don't know what you talking about. What do you think? Charles Wilson, Rod Wilson, Anias Williams.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yes.
Co-Host
All those were corners. Started out at corners and end up eventually moving to safety. I mean, look, they signed Tyreek and it worked out for a while, but I don't know. I'm still not believing that they potentially. They might move him on draft night.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Ocho, he had one, one, one, one down. I get it.
Co-Host
But I think. I think Ojo, I think if the kind of the drama that comes along with.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Right, right, right, right, right. Okay.
Co-Host
With Tyreek. Yeah. You drafted Mika Fitzpatrick. You traded him. Miami. Tunsil. You traded him.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yes, sir.
Co-Host
You looking to move on potentially with Jalen Ramsey? I mean, Vince is one of the best safeties in the league. Tunsil's one of the best left tackles in the league. You can use both of them right now.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
You could. Where did Tulsa go? He's not in Houston no more now.
Co-Host
He just went to Washington.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Oh. Ooh, that's a good one. That's a good move. Yeah, that's a good move.
Co-Host
Mike Gasicki is now in Cincinnati. He loved it with Joey B catching passes. I mean, I'm confused. I don't really know what the Dolphins are doing.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I have no idea either because I also saw. I saw the quote earlier to the write up about if a team came to us with two first round picks, we'll consider moving Tyreek Hill. I saw that one. And then right after that, I saw the Jalen Ramsey news as well. And so, okay, I'm like, what are we doing? Are we trying to compete? Are we Trying to do anything in the AFC east, or are we just trying to give it to Buffalo? Are we just trying to give it to Buffalo each and every year? So obviously what I see going on now is it's going to be years and years, years and years before we can rebuild. And I'm saying we because I'm from Miami. Years and years before we can rebuild and collectively get a team, whether it be through the draft, whether it be through off season acquisitions that can compete with the Buffalo Bills. So obviously all over again. So it goes New England dominating the AFCs for a very long time. Now all of a sudden, it's going to be the Buffalo bills dominating the AFCs for a very long time. When is it going to be our turn? And this is coming from a Dolphin fan since 1968. When is it going to be our turn?
Co-Host
It ain't gonna be your turn. It ain't gonna be your turn this year, that's for damn sure.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Nice. It sure ain't not the way they moving.
Co-Host
Yeah, I don't know. And you know, I think Taryn Armstead. Didn't he just retire, y'all? Exactly. He was injured last year. I think he just retired.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
And what's. What's the other. What's the other? Left tackle. Oh, that's the one from the Cowboys.
Co-Host
Oh, you talking about Tyron Smith.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, he's retiring too, ain't he?
Co-Host
Yeah, yeah, yeah. He signed a ceremonial contract, I think tomorrow.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, okay.
Co-Host
But I think Karen Armstead. I think he retired.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Oh, man, that ain't good. It's not getting better.
Co-Host
No, it's not looking good for you guys. Ocho High school baseball player who peed in opponent's water jug is now facing 15 counts of battery. It is then believed that the 15 players drank the pe. Tiny water. This had led to Rio Rancho player to be reported to juvenile probation and parole. With law enforcement officials believing there is cause to charge the boy with 15 counts of battery, one for each who drank the tainted water. The players facing charges saying it simply meant as a bro. See, now, see, no, this is all that playing. It's just a prank, Ocho. You know, kids being kids.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Listen, the pranks have gotten very extensive, especially this day and age. Especially this day.
Co-Host
And people don't. Ocho, people don't play the same.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I know you say. You say it all the time. People don't play the same. They don't.
Co-Host
Somebody.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
See, especially something like that.
Co-Host
I can tell you right now, there's a Good chance he don't look like us.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Oh, absolutely not. Not playing like that. There's certain type of this. There's certain things you can hear based on games that are being played. And you can hear what the person did. And you know it's not us. You know that because we don't play like that. That's not the kind of plan we.
Co-Host
That's what. See, Ocho. And people wonder why you don't play. That's why I don't play. Cause you see. Cause see, you know what I'm saying, Ocho? You do a little something, they go to the extreme.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Right? Right.
Co-Host
The best way to do that is just don't play.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Right.
Co-Host
And you don't have to worry about it.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Right.
Co-Host
Man, Somebody get hurt.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Cause I know one thing about you. You don't play by that money.
Co-Host
I don't care nobody that money. He did that. Boy, look here. But see, it had been easy back then. Cause when I was growing up, guys drank behind each other all the time.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Right? Right.
Co-Host
It ain't like it is now. Everybody got their own water bottle. Everybody got their own cup. It was nothing for you. Hey, man, let me get some wig of that. All right. Here you go. And pass it. Now, everybody got their own water bottle of their own, you know, got their name on it. They drank their special concoction, and everybody drank out the cup. And they throw it in the trash. Man. People, y'all need to stop playing all the time. I see these touching somebody. Girl in the mall and doing all this other stuff and running up on people. Okay.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Oh, yeah.
Co-Host
Oh.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
With the cameras. That. Those are the content creators today. The content creators. Now, the content creators, they, they go, they, they, they go a little overboard to create their content. So you never know how people are going to react. You, you never know. You got to be careful.
Co-Host
That's why I don't, I don't know why. I don't know why people feel like. To do stuff like that. I, I, I.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
No, I don't know. And when I. When I think about it. When you think about it, like in, in hindsight, when I see and think about. Wait a minute. He kind of peed. He peed in the, in, in the water bottle and mixed.
Co-Host
There's a guy that did that. He got, like, years. He did this at work, and he got like 15 years, I think not enough time.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Right. And, you know, that's the same thing. If you ever would have. Yeah, man. I don't want to. I'm, I was gonna go on Left field with it. But don't worry about it for me.
Co-Host
I mean, in order for. Like I said, Ocho, we had a group. It was me, Burns, dude named Alan Aldridge, rest his soul, calling Roscoe. Yeah. House and foots. It was five of us. Okay. We had, you know, But I was like, man, this stuff's getting out of hand. I said, hey, bro, let's go ahead and end this. So we ended it. But I gotta. For me, Ocho, I gotta know you don't just be. Oh, man, let's go pray. Come on, man. First of all, I'm a granddad two times now. I got time to be playing no foolish, no childish games. They be playing all this stuff. And I mean, that is. Come on. I get it, Ocho. Dropping. Putting water on somebody, you know, right? To loosen the salt of the pepper shaker. And they. Okay, that's one thing, bro. You peeing somebody water and they drank it, and you talk about. That's a joke.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, yeah. You know, you ain't never. Hey, listen, I don't mean to go in left field. I'm just thinking about it, right?
Co-Host
Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
You ain't never, like. And then, you know, and then it, like, it surprised you, and it hits you, and you taste it, like.
Co-Host
No, no, no, no.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
You know what I'm talking about.
Co-Host
Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I was trying to give you context clues without really saying it, because I don't want to. I don't. I don't want us to get flagged. But you know what? I call it? I call it. I call it the Arnold Palmer.
Co-Host
I don't call it that.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah. There are a few women you meet like that, and it's a mixture. No, no, you don't never taste it.
Co-Host
I sure don't.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Okay, I'm just asking. Okay.
Co-Host
Ocho. The incident was filmed by his friends and uploaded to Snapchat.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
You see, we don't play like that. We don't play like that. You know. You know, it's not us.
Co-Host
Nah, nah. We don't play like that. There needs to be limits on the jokes and like I said. But I've never been. My grandfather didn't like. My grandfather wasn't like that. And I think me growing up around grown folks, Ocho, that. You know what I'm saying? Like, my grandfather, like, okay, we played, but it wasn't no playing in the house. My grandfather didn't play that. No, it wasn't no playing the house wasn't. No, it wasn't. Well, I mean, hell, it was only a thousand square foot so you wasn't running before. Hey, yeah. I mean, it runs out the door, but. Boy, stop slapping that screen door.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, yeah.
Co-Host
And then we. You run out the hotel and you mess around. You think you will hit the door, and you hit the screen and you push the screen out. Oh, Lord have mercy.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Man, the whooping. You finna get there, boy.
Co-Host
What?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I remember them days. My goddamn dope letting in all them goddamn flies.
Co-Host
Yep.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Running up my electricity.
Co-Host
What are you talking about?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
What the electricity got to do with the dope being open?
Co-Host
But all those things and. Oh, Joe. All those things that they said that we took for granted.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah.
Co-Host
Look, we have no century. We had a fan and it had. We had that box. We had that box fan on your, you know, back. I don't know if they still make them, but the fan we had used to have iron blade. They had the iron blades. I don't know. Do they still make fans with iron blades? Cause now they got plastic blades. But when the blades had broke off and it be dancing. So we had to put a big. A cinder block only to keep it from dancing because his three blades is over, too. It was unbalanced. Yeah, yeah. They still make them. They still make them. But close the door. You know, do all this. But when you start paying for stuff, my brothers used to say all the time, I leave the door open, leave this open. And then what do you say? I ain't say nothing. He said, when you get your own place, you'll see.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
You understand. Hey, you don't understand until you have kids. Huh? You don't understand the things your grandma, your granddad used to tell you back in the days. Or your mom used to say back in the days.
Co-Host
Right.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
When you were younger. And it doesn't resonate to you until you have kids. Then you get a better understanding. Oh, that's why you always used to say that. Oh, this.
Co-Host
Bro, we had to go in the refrigerator. We had to already know what we was gonna get. You couldn't open the refrigerator and be.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Looking and sit down waiting.
Co-Host
Boy, close that fridge. Wait, it wasn't like. Unless you wanted some baking soda. The one thing I know is gonna be in that refrigerator is baking soda.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Every time, whether it's empty, it might not be.
Co-Host
Some tea. Some tea. And you couldn't drink that. Only my grandfather and grandmother could drink the tea. I don't know why the hell you make it. So you got all these kids in here and they can't drink no tea? TJ for y'all, too. But just open the refrigerator and just be looking. My kids being, you don't know, you went to the refrigerator for something, you know what the hell you wanted. Now all of a sudden you act like you had the grocery aisle. You just walking up, you just looking.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Oh, it was.
Co-Host
There was a day though.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, it was.
Co-Host
There was a day. But hey, hey, this dude, I don't know your name, bro. If this is true that you peed in this bottle. Yeah, that's okay, boy. Hey, hey, see, that's that. See, that's too. That's too much. See, because. See, that's the thing, Ocho. That's why. Hey, remember I told you, Ocho, Grandpa used to always say, boy, you play with a puppy, he'll lick you in the mouth.

Savannah Guthrie
Because today is where it's all happening. We get the best start to every morning because we start it together.
Co-Host
Watch the Today show with Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin, weekdays at 7am on NBC. You see, because now somebody gotta. Somebody gotta try to run up one. Up a prank.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Oh, yeah.
Co-Host
So you did. You did this, Ocho. I gotta do that.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I gotta get you back.
Co-Host
I got. I gotta extend it. I gotta keep it going.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I gotta get you back.
Co-Host
Just leave that. Just leave that. Just leave that right there. All right, Ocho dies. Time for our final segment of the evening. It's time for Q and A. Oh, man. A law A, y'all. Donated. Donated. He said, can the fellas get some big three advice or the tip? What advice you want, bro?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
He said, big three, huh? He trying. He talking about basketball.
Co-Host
I know he ain't want no big three if. I mean, you trying to play in the big three, you should have. You should.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
You got to be an NBA player, don't you?
Co-Host
No, I guess, yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I mean, do. Are there people. Are there casual. No, I'm talking about. Are there civilians that play on the big three teams? Or is everybody retired NBA players?
Co-Host
Everybody. Everybody. Everybody played in the NBA. I think that's. That's a rule. Bosky, the tempest. Three things in life is certain. Death, taxes. And 84, 85. Always gonna be open. That.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
That's. That's true. That's.
Co-Host
That's fine. Everybody love everybody. Love everybody. Night.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Hey, somebody said I got on a stripper jersey.
Co-Host
You got a fish there. Oh, that's fish, man.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Now this. This Tyrod Taylor brand.
Co-Host
Oh, is it? Yeah.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Diallo's funny. You know, Tyrod Taylor got. Got a nice, really dope brand.
Co-Host
Good.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Good stuff, man. Nice casual stuff. Yeah. Yeah.
Co-Host
Astro said Ice Cube, inner tube, Delta Blues, Lakers and fire. The great Brown said the Nuggets got rid of their coach and GM Instead of the best play, instead of their best player. At least the Nuggets did. Did that, right? Go Broncos. Yeah. Look, sometimes. Sometimes you could. Look, they went to the NBA Finals, and for whatever reason, deandre Ayton and Monty Williams could not get along. Yeah, for whatever reason. I don't know, but it seemed maybe it was Da. His motor didn't run hot all the time or as well as Monty was thinking, but for whatever reason, they had a nice team. You had A big. You had D Book, you had Chris Paul facilitator. You had a nice, hey, you have Mikael Bridges that could defend, could knock down shots. You had Cameron Johnson, you had a nice backup and campaign and they just blew it up.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
And with DeAndre Aiden at now Portland. Yeah.
Co-Host
Dab Smith said KD the Denver makes the most sense since Jokic needs an all star.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
We got Jamal Murray.
Co-Host
Not an all Star, I think.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I mean, he's not an all Star.
Co-Host
You know, but he's an all star caliber player.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
He's a goddamn all star.
Co-Host
I think the thing is what makes them look, they gave up all their defense. No, no, no kcp, no Bruce Brown. Guys that could defend on the, you know, defend and do all the dirty work. Right now you got guys that want to score, you know, I mean at the defense, who you got to play deep. That's not Joker's thing, that's not Murray's thing. That's not MPG, MPJ Michael Porter Jr. That's not, that's not what he's known for. Gordon is a defender, but I mean he's a big body guy. But I'm just trying to figure where you guys that got to defend, they gave that all that up. I don't see KD going to Denver. I don't know if they have the draft picks. I mean, who you going to get? Who are you going to give up? You going to get Murray? They're not going to give you Murray.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Right?
Co-Host
I mean, you got to go somewhere that somebody have draft compensation to give you because yeah, you want a few good players, but you want that draft pick, you want that draft capital. You got to restock what you gave up. Bria Carter says I feel like they should skip the ads, especially when we get a show this late. This show started at 1am how you think the show started because of the ads, you know. You know there are people here, there, there are producers. OO got a producer, I got a producer, we got graphics, we got editors, we got social media team. They don't work because they like 84 and 85. They work for money.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah, I don't think people understand that. They don't understand that.
Co-Host
I mean, when y'all watch the games, how y'all think these. I mean, think about the Super Bowl. How many commercials did super bowl have? How many sports? How many? Name the sporting event that you've seen that don't run any ads. As a matter of fact, tell me the event that you've seen on television that haven't run ads. I can only think of one. The masters. That time when they. They was. Everybody was boycotting because they didn't admit a woman into the thing. And they ran the commercial free. But I just want y'all to tell me, so what are we supposed to do?
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
You right. Come on, now.
Co-Host
I'm just. I just care. I mean, Chad. I just want y'all. Y'all tell us a way that we're able to do this. Pay the 15 people that we have that works on just Nightcap alone. When you say, what do you need a producer for? That lets me know. You know very nothing about television, which is why we have ads. But I'm just saying, tell me your favorite program, your favorite TV show. Tell me the one that you've seen it in its entirety. And they played. No, they had no commercials.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
All my favorites have commercials. Good times. Sanford and Son. All in the family. Small wonder. Punky Brewster. I could keep going.
Co-Host
15.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
They all have commercials.
Co-Host
Y'all do realize in an hour programming, when you see an hour program, the show is actually only 32 minutes long. The other 28 minutes are commercials.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Commercials. Yeah. The bills gotta be paid. Huh? The bills got to be paid. The bills are paid because of the commercials.
Co-Host
Yeah. We did start with zero commercials. We. We was basically. That was basically playing people out of my pocket.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Oh, speaking of. I owe you. I forgot. I owe you too. I'm glad you said.
Co-Host
But I'm look, yes, the first zero. That's the whole point. The whole point. Listen, we're not a non profit people. It requires money to do this. It does. I mean, I don't know really what to tell people. So I'm sorry, guys. We got. We got to have commercials, and hopefully we can get some more. Casey Taylor. Yo. Is there a story behind how Grinding All My Life became the intro for Club Shay Shay? Also Weezy up, baby. The Rock or Mahomes are in the future lineup. The Rock. Yes, I can try to get Mahomes. I can't guarantee it. I think I. Yeah, I think I can get Wheezy. Yeah, I think I can get Wheezy. That's. Rocky's gonna be a little bit more difficult because, you know, between the movies and just all the stuff that he has going on, basically you'll have to fly to him. I'm have to fly to Hawaii or wanted to play one of the 15 places that he calls home.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
That's a simple call. A simple call right here. Simple call.
Co-Host
Dr. Frankie L. Bellamy. Hey, fam. I saw my other unc. Sterling yesterday. He was cool as always. We had a good time. Oh, must be down at Myrtle Beach. Was it Myrtle Beach? I think it's Myrtle beach because they normally have a tournament after the Masters. The Monday after the Masters, they normally have a tournament down there. All right, doc. I appreciate that. PC said love from Toronto, Canada. Almost 3am here, but I'm rocking with you guys. Random questions. What do you do when you're low on motivation or life gets overwhelming? I. E. How do you manage tough emotions since you're both athletes? Compartmentalize. I got a job. Let me do this job. And then once the job is over, I go think about how I need to get done, what I needed to get done, whatever those emotions are. If I'm dealing with something personal in my life, if I'm dealing with kids or somebody, whatever the case may be, the job's got to get done. Ocho, only people that work a 9 to 5 have work life balance. When you run your company, there is no work life balance.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Right.
Co-Host
Because you're always on the clock because you're responsible for what comes out. Everything. So I don't get that luxury, like, oh, somebody else will figure it out. No, it doesn't work like that. Now, if you want work life balance, have at it. I got no problem. So I don't want y'all to come in here, was throwing shade at people that work nine to five. No, you work nine to five to fulfill somebody else's dreams. But in this situation, Ocho, everybody's gonna go through something. Yeah, something.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Always.
Co-Host
But I can't stop. I got a job to do. I couldn't call up the Broncos or the Ravens. I can't call up CBS or FOX or not espn. I can do that job because I don't think in the two hours that it requires me to do my job, I don't really think there's much I can do about it, especially from where I am. That's just me. Everybody deals with situations how they choose to, but this is how I choose to deal with mine. I'm gonna do what I need to do, and then I'm gonna take care of what I need to take care of. To each his own.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
And you know the first half of this question, too. I. I never understood how. How people lack motivation in general. I never understood that part. Especially when there's a. There's a.
Co-Host
Well, you're not doing something that you like. If you like motivation.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yeah. That just. I never understood that. Don't. Never. The smallest goal Short term, long term, whatever it may be, to accomplish anything in life, it takes. You got to be motivated to do it. You got to be. You got to be motivated about something. Something got to get you going. And it shouldn't. You shouldn't have to rely on other people doing it for you to do it. You shouldn't have to rely on your friends and get up and go to the gym.
Co-Host
What are you passionate about? Because if you're passionate about something, you don't. When you passionate about Ocho, you don't. You don't read. You need very little motivation. What makes you jump out of bed? That's the question. Because when you passionate about something. Oh, you. And put it. You're gonna put your all into it.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Hey, everything.
Co-Host
You're gonna be good, and you're gonna be really good at it.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Everything. Listen, when I'm. When I'm motivated, whatever it is I'm locked in on, it becomes my purpose. Yes, it becomes my purpose. It's almost as if I'm living for just that specific thing, whatever it may be at that time that has me motivated. Right, Man, I don't play. I. I don't. I don't play. But that was. You know what. You know what intentional means? When you're intentional when you do something.
Co-Host
Man, you worked all your life. We worked all our life to get in this position. This position. Now I'm supposed to relax? Now I don't. I've always been one of those guys, Ocho. No matter the goal, no matter what I accomplish, what's the next goal to accomplish? What can I. I don't. I don't stand on the mountain like, yes, yes, I might get to the top, but I'm gonna look at. Don't look on the horizon and see if there's another summit I can scale. I'm. I'm just a mo. I'm a very motivated and driven person. I've always. I always. I've always been that way.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Yes, sir.
Co-Host
And so I don't know why people be surprised when they see me have success when you know how motivated I am. I'm all in on stuff. I. I don't. I don't. When I. This is my focus, and it's one.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Thing to be motivated, but you also.
Co-Host
Think about it, Ocho. Think about how motivated you were to do for the. For the. The Bengals or.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Or.
Co-Host
Or the cw. They tell me you can't be that motivated for yourself. That's what I'm gonna give for people. People show up, need people, job and don't miss a day for 10 years, 15 years. But after do something for themselves. It's like.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
See, you see, I like that you just went there with. Now you lead me right into my next thing. Now you see why I'm enjoying myself. You see why I'm doing stuff for myself right now. You see what I'm talking about? I like that. I see you. I like that. So now you get. Why don't you do something for me, huh?
Co-Host
Do something for me.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
I am. I got you. Remember I told you in June, Baltimore show. I'm gonna pay you live, in person, in front of everybody. 5200, which you want a hundreds, one hundreds, fifties to twenties.
Co-Host
I gotta wait till then.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
That ain't too far. That's right around the corner.
Co-Host
No, I mean Uncle Sam.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
Who?
Co-Host
Uncle Sam touched your boy up today.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson
But only the only Sam I know is Cook.
Co-Host
No, that. What is that? Be pointing. Talking about Uncle Sam want you. And I'll be like, yeah, yeah, that's what you get. Uncle Sale. Accountability in Team Performance:
Chad Ochocinco Johnson (05:37) states, “...when collectively, obviously there is a group of five that have to play and have to gel together. You think obviously when you have these super teams with Bradley, Bill and Devin Booker and Kevin Durant coming together, you expect the results.”
Frequent Coaching Changes:
Shay Shay (07:32) highlights the instability by noting, “This is the fourth coach in four years. They fired Marty Williams. They fired... Vogel. They fired Bud.”
Financial Implications:
The hosts discuss the financial strain caused by constantly changing coaches, emphasizing the importance of stability.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson (08:11) remarks, “When it comes to the sports world, you throw your money at it and then you allow it time to manifest. You let it marinate for a little bit until it can jail...”
A significant portion of the episode focuses on the recent decision by Colorado to retire the jerseys of Shedeur Sanders (number 2) and Travis Hunter (number 12).
Controversial Decisions:
Shay Shay (19:30) expresses frustration, “Many pointed out that Florida hasn't even retired Tebow and he wants two national championships and a Heisman.”
Comparative Analysis:
The hosts compare Colorado's actions with other institutions, questioning the fairness and consistency in jersey retirements.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson (21:06) states, “It doesn't [impact Colorado]. But I know one thing... schools like LSU and Florida...”
Shay Shay (21:49) adds, “It's just because every... I mean, I could. I understand... you're basing what somebody else got based on what somebody else didn't get.”
Personal Reflections:
Reflecting on personal achievements versus institutional recognition, Shay Shay (30:12) shares, “Savannah State was stolen up for me, they retired my jersey. I'm humble, I'm honored.”
The conversation shifts to individual player performances and their impact on team success, particularly focusing on Kevin Durant (KD) and Devin Booker.
Kevin Durant's Role:
Chad Ochocinco Johnson (06:29) critiques Durant's contribution, “Handle that criticism... He's easy. He would be a part of the problem if he wasn't part of the solution.”
Devin Booker's Consistency:
Shay Shay (08:42) asserts, “I think the only player that's going to be there is Devin Booker. He's the player that started there.”
Team Chemistry Issues:
The hosts discuss the strained relationship between players and coaching staff, contributing to the Suns' struggles.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson (06:58) mentions, “The relationship between him [KD] and Bowden... things didn't work, especially the way it started out.”
Looking ahead, the hosts speculate on possible moves and strategies for the Suns to regain their competitive edge.
Potential Trades and Acquisitions:
Shay Shay (14:17) speculates, “Where does KD go? Miami... but what are y'all gonna give up to get him?”
Chad Ochocinco Johnson (14:43) responds, “It's up to Pat Riley and Mickey Harrison...”
Draft Capital and Team Composition:
Emphasizing the importance of draft picks in rebuilding, Shay Shay (09:20) states, “You got to get draft capital back.”
Comparisons with Other Teams:
The discussion includes comparisons with the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets, analyzing their strategies and outcomes.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson (14:43) says, “...we got to have some...”
The episode also touches upon off-field incidents affecting team dynamics and public perception.

An incident involving a rookie failing his duties by tampering with Dylan Jones' car is humorously discussed.
Shay Shay (17:45) laughs, “Make sure that speaker charge packing peanuts. You don't like when you go to UPS store...”
Cultural Shifts in Team Environments:
The hosts reflect on how team cultures have evolved, especially with the influence of social media and content creators.
Chad Ochocinco Johnson (42:04) remarks, “...the content creators today. They... go a little overboard to create their content.”
Speculating on future leadership changes, the hosts discuss the potential retirement of key figures and the need for strategic hires.
Mike Budenholzer's Future:
Shay Shay (40:46) ponders, “They could fire Bud...”
