Oh ojo Cam Hayward is open to sitting out regular season games in search of a raise. Cam Hayward, who's the 22nd highest paid DT, said he's looking to be valued. It's hard for me after the year I had to really justify playing at that number I'm playing at. Hayward said the team asked him to take a pay cut last summer. They ironed out a rework deal instead that runs through 2026. Hayward responded by bouncing back from an injury marred 2023 season, defending with 8 sacks, 71 tackles, 11 pass defense as the Steelers went 107 and reached the playoffs for the fourth time in five years, right?
Shannon Sharpe
Hey listen, Cam Hayward said. I can't play at 15 million. Now those that are on the outside watching, fans, NFL fans, oh the first thing gonna say oh my goodness, you can't play on $15 million. They they don't see it from that perspective. Actually being an athlete, being an all pro player and being a D Tackle that I'm not sure when it comes to D tackles, where he's ranked when it comes to tackles in the NFL right now as far as where he should be slated at right next to Lawrence, one of the betters, the Ed Olivers, one of the betters. Aaron Donald, no longer here.
Chad Johnson
He's different because he's a five technique, right? Because they're three, four defense. So he's not, he's not like in your typical like a Warren SAP. He's not like what, like Aaron Donald. What? Aaron Donald was in the 43. He's a 3, 4. He's more of a JJ watt. He's a 5 technique, right. And so I don't, I don't want to. I'm gonna try to keep it simple. But if you notice, they got two life. They got a nose tackle, they got two ends and they got two linebackers, right? So they got four linebackers, Sam and a wheel, a mic and a plug, right? And they got three down linemen. He's what we call a five technique, Right. He's a defensive end, but he's playing a five technique. Not the three technique or what we call the under tackle that Joe Green made famous and the Warren Saps, the Johnny Randalls and those, the Aaron Donalds, those type of guys. He's a five check.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
And so with that being said, but the Steelers say, hold on, bro, we just redid your contract last year. Last year.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. But unk. They asked him to take a pay cut. They asked him to take a pay cut. I'm assuming because of his injury and his play might have been down.
Chad Johnson
Right.
Shannon Sharpe
So is it warranted that he gets a raise after making all pro?
Chad Johnson
He should have just signed a one year deal. I agree with you, Ocho. Look, I'm just. From a Steelers perspective.
Shannon Sharpe
Yes, sir.
Chad Johnson
Okay, Ocho, you come in there, you're like, oh, hey bro, I wanna. Hey, man, I need such and such. Well, you know, Ocho, you didn't have the best year now. Okay, so what you thinking? Well, how about this? We're gonna tell. We're gonna do this. We're gonna give you. We'll give you 29. We'll give you 29 million for the next two years. Well, that's the risk that you run.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Because what, what he didn't expect was for the defensive market to explode like it has. So now what looked like a really good deal is like chicken feed to him. So now you get Miles Garrett. You. You got his teammate making 41 million, right? Miles Garrett making 40. You got Nick Bosa, you got Max Crosby, you got Danielle Hunter, you got Michael Parsons. You got all these guys. And he like, hold on.
Shannon Sharpe
Can't. He can't compare. He can't compare himself to the line.
Chad Johnson
He does.
Shannon Sharpe
He has to compare himself to the D tackles that played a 5 technique or other D tackles in NFL.
Chad Johnson
He looking at D. But even the D tackles, Christian Wilkins was making 25, 24 million. Look at Dexter Lawrence. Give me the. Give me the. The top five.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm curious. I'm curious because I'm not Jeff. Jeffrey Simmons got to be up there, too.
Chad Johnson
Yep.
Shannon Sharpe
Over there in Tennessee.
Chad Johnson
Aaron Simmons. Lawrence. Christian Wilkins was making 24 and a half million.
Shannon Sharpe
Did he get picked up yet?
Chad Johnson
No.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay. Trying. I'm trying to think who else. D tackles, D tackles. Oh, Vita vea via. Gotta be top five paid as well. But him being at 22, that. That's. That's. That's tough.
Chad Johnson
As she's saying it to me. Yeah, yeah. I agree to Ocho. Is that, you know, you looking at guys, I mean, at defensive players, you got like, okay, D tackles. Okay, where's the D tackles market? The D tackles market is in the mid-20s. He's like, Bro, I'm at 14 and a half, 15.
Shannon Sharpe
So what would make it happen? What would make him happy, you think? Maybe 18?
Chad Johnson
Cause being ranked, Chris Jones is the Highest paid at 31,750.
Shannon Sharpe
How did I forget Chris Jones.
Chad Johnson
Matabiquay from the Ravens. Ravens is at 24 and a half.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay.
Chad Johnson
Alan McNeil from Detroit, 24. 250. Derrick Brown, Carolina, 24. Quinny Williams, 24. Simons. Jeffrey Simmons. I don't know why I call him Keep Coming. Simmons. Simmons is 23. 5. DeForest Buckner, Colts, 23. Ron Payne, Washington, 22. 5. And Dexter Lawrence, 21, 87 5. Kenny Clark, 21.
Shannon Sharpe
I got. I got something for you right here. Huh? Yeah. I'm gonna tell you how the Rooney's thinking. I'm gonna tell you what Tomlin is thinking. How old is Cam Hayward?
Chad Johnson
Cam. Cam came in. In. In. In 2011, so he. At least 36 at the bare minimum.
Shannon Sharpe
They. They not. They, they, they not. They're not doing it. They. They're not doing it. Everybody, Everybody, everybody you just named. Are they even 30 yet?
Chad Johnson
Jones is.
Shannon Sharpe
Jones is the best. Jones is the. Chris Jones is the best. Best D tackle in the NFL.
Chad Johnson
Right.
Shannon Sharpe
You know, I mean, he only came.
Chad Johnson
Chris Jones just turned. He's 31, but I don't think Mattabique I don't think McNeil. Quinny. I don't think Quinn is. Is Quinny 30?
Shannon Sharpe
He might be 36. Come on, now.
Chad Johnson
Quinn Williams, 27. Damn.
Shannon Sharpe
Listen, Quinn, you don't remember Quinn Williams when he. On draft night when he sneezed and he said, yeah, he bless himself.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, but 36, I mean, listen, it'd be hard.
Chad Johnson
And I see, ooh, it's going to be hard for them to put. Put him in that situation. And because he's like, okay, 15. Can you give me the 20?
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, what 20? Oh, that. Oh, maybe. You know what we can do? We can give you something to sign a bonus. We'll take some of the money on the back end and bring it on the front end and put it into a signing bonus so it doesn't affect the cap. Boom.
Chad Johnson
Problem. Guess what? But guess what? That does that take? That takes money off next year's cap. That takes money off next year. Bas Salad. Hey, and now that. That 15 is 10.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. Hey, I. I'm just trying to find a way. I know it's going to be very difficult, but knowing him, and him saying he going to stand his ground and not play, that's going to be tough. Because now you're going into a season where you're trying to compete in the division. You have Aaron Rodgers, and the defense is stacked with all the people that you just added your identity. Now, I'm not calling you the goddamn Steel Curtain, but with the team, with the players you have on paper, you should be very good and be able to compete week in and week out, especially in AFC north and against other teams that you do play.
Chad Johnson
I agree.
Shannon Sharpe
And you are a intricate part of that defense where it matters most.
Chad Johnson
Captain. You're one of the captains of the defense.
Shannon Sharpe
Damn, man, that's. That's. That's tough. That's tough for the Steelers, that's tough.
Chad Johnson
But ultra. Member the other night we talked about Dalvin Cook, and I say his value is somewhere between 11 and 13.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, I said. I said. I said 13. Five. So where'd he fall at? 12. James Cook. James Cook. 12?
Chad Johnson
Yeah, 12.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay.
Chad Johnson
Four years, 48. I say the max they'd probably be is four years 52, but I can see, you know, 11. 11 to 13, he's gonna fall somewhere. 11, 13. He not. He not. He not. 15.
Shannon Sharpe
Right.
Chad Johnson
He ain't breaking up earlier.
Shannon Sharpe
He got. He. Listen, he got 30 million guaranteed. He gonna be all right. See that 30?
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Every dollar. So you gonna be all right.
Chad Johnson
But, hey, he's like Nah, y' all not gonna get me. Y' all finna give me something? I ain't gonna play. On this contract.

Campbell Cam Ward believes he has a top five receiver core in the NFL right now. Ocho, do you believe that the Titans have a top five receiving corps?
Shannon Sharpe
Top five? Wait a minute. Let's. Let's go.
Chad Johnson
Eagles.
Shannon Sharpe
Eagles.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. Bucks.
Shannon Sharpe
Bucks. I'm throwing the Packers.
Chad Johnson
Lions.
Shannon Sharpe
Lions. Packers.
Chad Johnson
Bikes.
Shannon Sharpe
I said Vikings already, I think, didn't I?
Chad Johnson
Okay, you said Vikings already.
Shannon Sharpe
Now when Terry McLaurin comes back, him and Deebo, even though they haven't played together, we know what they can do. They've shown enough over the years.
Chad Johnson
I mean, what about the Rams? Oh, my Rams.
Shannon Sharpe
Pukunakua and Devonte Adams. Obviously we know what Devonte Adams could do.
Chad Johnson
But what about Dolphins?
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, Tyreek and Waddle.
Chad Johnson
What about the Bears?
Shannon Sharpe
A Dunze. DJ Moore.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, and Burton.
Shannon Sharpe
Burton. You Know, he, he, he. Oh, hold on. We know what Tyler Lockett could do. Yeah, we know what Calvin. Calvin Ridley is that boy, does they.
Chad Johnson
Do they have a top five receiving core?
Shannon Sharpe
I wouldn't say top five.
Chad Johnson
Okay.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. Hey, they. They have a. They have a very, very good receiver in Calvin Ridley, though.
Chad Johnson
Pff has them at the third worst receiving core. For real?
Shannon Sharpe
Well, bait, listen, look, based on rounds.
Chad Johnson
All the teams that we rounds are the worst than the Patriots, and then they got the Titans.
Shannon Sharpe
I, I, I, I, I see. Oh, that's tough, boy. That's tough.
Chad Johnson
I didn't know they weren't top five.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, you got. You got to believe they're not top five, but you have to say that you're the quarterback. You have to.
Chad Johnson
Oh, yeah, for sure.
Shannon Sharpe
You have to feel that way about your squad.
Chad Johnson
And sometimes you gotta lie to a moo.
Shannon Sharpe
Whoa, how do we ain't even mention CD Lamb and George Pickens?
Chad Johnson
Okay, man, we didn't. We did. So there you go. Gotta.
Shannon Sharpe
You gotta feel that way, though.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, for sure. If you don't believe that about your team, who will?
Shannon Sharpe
Right? Hey, who's the number three over there in Tennessee now? Now you got me thinking. Tyler Lockett. Calvin. Really? Who's the number three? Chad, who's the number three? Somebody tell me who's the number three in.
Chad Johnson
Number three to the number third, wide receiver? Van Jefferson.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, okay. Van Sala, you Van was with. With the Rams?
Chad Johnson
Yes.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. Okay.
Chad Johnson
Pittsburgh. Wasn't he with Pittsburgh? Where was he last year?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, I said since he first. I said since he first.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, I thought. I thought so. He's with Pittsburgh last year. Oho. Yeah. Cam. Yeah. Look, I appreciate you pumping up your squad.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
But y' all not top five. I'm not even sure y' all top ten. When we. When we really get down to and we start naming. Naming receiving cars. Ocho, I'm not sure they top 10.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, I know one thing. Calvin really is that boy.
Chad Johnson
Oh, yeah. But it's more. It's more than to make a. To make a receiver course. More than one.
Shannon Sharpe
Right, Right, right, right, right, right.
Chad Johnson
Well, hell, Marlon Humphrey posted a video on social media a while ago asking Michael Phelps for his help because one of the three Ravens players can't swim. So Phelps attended Ravens training camp with Ray Lewis and taught the team how to swim. We often overlook that many of these athletes grew up in inner city communities with little to no access to pool or swimming lessons. Ocho, can you swim, or do we need to call Michael Phelps for you.
Shannon Sharpe
They used to call me Flippa back in the day. You heard me, they used to call me Flippa. Charles Hadley park is where I used to swim. Sometimes they were closed. When Charles Hadley park would close, man, we jumped the gate and we go swim. I taught myself to swim. Me and my homeboy Jamie. I don't know where Jamie at. Jamie, if you see this from back in the day, I think Jamie stayed right off 45th, not too far from me. Well, they had the diving board, everything, huh? Right next to Alapatta elementary, where I could swim.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, they had a pool at Reidsville State park, and it was 50 cent to get in. Did y' all have to pay to get into the pool?
Shannon Sharpe
50 cent. It was a quarter for us.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
God, y' all expensive.
Chad Johnson
Yes, I think it's 50 Cent.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, let me tell you something. Really, too.
Chad Johnson
It might have been a quarter Ocho. And then the paddle boat might have been 50 Cent, because you can take the paddle boat out right on the lake.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay.
Chad Johnson
I've been so long ago.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, hey, let me tell you what was so fun about being on Hadley park, right? You play basketball? You can play basketball. They had karate class in the back. They had the tennis course. They had the handball course, right? And then the pool. Sit on the front street right off. Is that 12th Avenue? 12th or 10th Avenue. I'm. I'm so confused. But going swimming, right? And you hear the ice cream truck coming, and ice cream truck come to. Boy, that's one of the best feelings in the world. When you hit an ice cream truck coming, you get a little break. Get you some ice cream, get you some donuts. I used to get jungle juice. Jungle juice. Two pickle eggs and a fruit punch.
Chad Johnson
And then they told us to block all the year. Don't. Hey, after you eat, you got to stay out the pool. That's why I wouldn't eat, because you could. Oh, you know, it'll make your cramp.
Shannon Sharpe
You'll get a cramp.
Chad Johnson
That's a lot.
Shannon Sharpe
We ain't getting no cramp that young, huh? We love kids.
Chad Johnson
You. If you ate something, they would. You couldn't get back in the pool, right? For, like, 30 minutes.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, nah. Hey, man, I. That. I think that's a myth.
Chad Johnson
It is a myth.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, when you grew up, y' all ain't had a candy lady house. Yeah, man.
Chad Johnson
Well, that was in. That was in Glenville. We a candy lady. Where we at? Because I lived in the country, but sister Tillman, she had twin. Twin, twin sons. James and John, right? Their mom, you know, sold candy, so the Kool Aid, ice and stuff like that. You know what I'm saying?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, man, we had the candy. Hey, right down 51st and 12th. Right down 51st. Right on the corner across the street from park. Right. The quarter cookies. Right, the quarter. Remember, they had strawberry and she had vanilla. Then she had Boston baked beans. You know about Boston baked beans?
Chad Johnson
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Lemon heads and. Lemon heads, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, my God. Hold on.
Chad Johnson
I used to like them planks. She had them planks, too. You remember the planks with the icing that. The plank. They had a. They had like, icing. There was like a shortbread cookie, but they had icing on it. Like, look up. Plank. Plank cookies.
Shannon Sharpe
Hold on. Please tell me your candy lady had the frozen cups in the little Dixie cup. The frozen cup?
Chad Johnson
Yeah, yeah, the little. Yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, my God, yes, absolutely. Throw back, throwback. Hold on. And you get back.
Chad Johnson
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Put that up so oo can see what I'm talking about. Absolutely. And she had them, the thing called Black Cow. You remember, they were like chocolate. But I'm telling you, if you had a loose tooth, you go pull it out.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, it's coming out.
Chad Johnson
Boy, look here.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
And I tell you what will stop me. Mary Jane. Man, I was. I'll never forget this hotel I was sitting in. I was. This had to be like 1993.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
And Billy Thompson, who's the player, used to be community guy, man. He had. He had a Mary James. I went and got him because I'm about to go to Meet no Show and you know, I'm sitting there. We watch it feel right. I'm chewing. But I run my. I run my tongue right where my teeth supposed to be.
Shannon Sharpe
Ah.
Chad Johnson
I'm like. I don't feel no teeth. They're right there. Ocho.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, okay, okay.
Chad Johnson
But I think, hey, man, I need the place. I need the place, man.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, hold on. You know what else they used to do? I think the candy lady used to buy them in bulk.
Chad Johnson
Yes.
Shannon Sharpe
Hold on. The La Dunes. You know about the Lorna Doom.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. Yes.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, boy. East La Dune cookie. It might have been maybe. Maybe 10 cent, maybe 5. I know it wasn't a quarter, so it might have been a quarter.
Chad Johnson
Cookies were a penny. Like you go to the corner store, you go to the convenience store, and they had big jars sitting up on the thing.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Different types of cookie. And the cookies were a penny.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
So, you know, the short. The little shortbread cookies or whatever the case may be.
Shannon Sharpe
Right.
Chad Johnson
And Then you know, you had the giant pinwheel cookies, right? But, man. Oh, yo, that guy done the Mary Jane. Don't pull out half.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, hey, them some good day. That's memories there, boy.
Chad Johnson
Hey, I put my hand up like this here, like I was in the church, right? I say I'll be back, man. Ocho, they called me to my. Where you go? Oh, yo, I will slap to the dentist.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, right away.
Chad Johnson
Right away. Come. Oh, hey, man, you know. Hey, you know how we are we gonna clown you.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, yeah.
Chad Johnson
If they just saw that. Oh, no, but. Oh, but you're right. Those were the good old days. But on the. They had those cookies, right? Penny cookies on the thing on the counter. They had those pickled eggs like you talking about on the counter. And they had pig feet. Yes.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. Hold on, hold on. Please tell me y' all had hot sausage.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, my goodness, man.
Chad Johnson
And you know what, Ocho? Back then, when I was. When I was eating those hot dogs, it's something about them convenience store hot dogs, ain't it?
Shannon Sharpe
It's so much better. I don't. I don't know. I don't know what it is.
Chad Johnson
I go home and like, Granny, why your hot dogs don't taste like.
Shannon Sharpe
Tastes like that. Exactly. I don't know what it is.
Chad Johnson
George about. It's the roller. Well, damn it. Granny should have bought a roller.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey.
Chad Johnson
Instead of dumping 50 in a big old pot.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, you know about. You know what? Hold on. Y'. All. Y' all had chico sticks.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
What about Lily Dilly?
Chad Johnson
No, I don't know. What. What's that?
Shannon Sharpe
And them chico sticks.
Chad Johnson
Oh, yeah, the chico stick. Oh, yeah, the chico sticks. Now, they like that. But sometimes I like when I used to drive home, went from Atlanta, I go. I was going to Glenville, I would stop, you know, making. Or I stop in Dublin at a convenience store, right? To see, you know, see what type of old Charleston shoes. See what type of old candy that. You know, old candy they got, you know, getting. And you know, because like you said, it reminded me of when I was growing up. Now here I am in my 30s and 40s. But, yeah, man, that was a good old days. Ocho.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, my God.
Chad Johnson
I mean, a pen. I mean, man. Hey, boy, don't let a. Don't let me get no money. A quarter, man. Look here. With a quarter, we walked two miles because the store. The closest store was for two miles, right? A dollar, if we got a dollar.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, you. You gone.
Chad Johnson
Gone.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, I'd never forget that ice Cream truck.
Chad Johnson
Oh, yeah, but ice cream with a quarter, like, ice cream sandwich.
Shannon Sharpe
Ice cream sandwich. Oh, man, I get the ice cream sandwich. You get two Krispy Kreme donuts. You get a honey bun, warm it up in the microwave. Nutty Buddy, man. Oh, my Nutty buddy.
Chad Johnson
I mean, once you kind of ate the. The crunch off the top of it, I mean, you. Yeah, you got a little ice cream with a cone in it. And then I remember that when they came out with that superstar. Remember they came out with that superstar, the red, white, and blue ice cream.
Shannon Sharpe
Ice cream. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I remember that.
Chad Johnson
But it was a day. Bad. It was a day. Hey, boy, I could. I couldn't wait for PE because, you know, that was the only time you get ice cream. You get to go. You get PE. You go before you go out, hey, quarter. You know, you go get. You, you know, get your ice cream, you know, once a. Once a week. You know, we got a granny would give us a quarter, give me a spank, a quarter, something, or, you know, I don't know what happens. Sometimes quarters just followed me out of Granny's room. I mean, quarters had legs. Oh, yo, the quarters had legs. I don't know how they just walk up and jump in my.
Shannon Sharpe
Autumn ate them some good. Oh, my God. How did I forget this? Y' all ain't. Y' all ain't had mango trees where you from? I'm not.
Chad Johnson
No, we have no mango trees. We had fig. We had grape. We had plum.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
We had pears.
Shannon Sharpe
Man, I used to get the Fig Newton from the Candy Lady House, but then they also sold in a Ziploc bag. You can buy mangoes, right, with the salt and vinegar already on the mangoes.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, my goodness.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, we had. And we had huckleberries. You know, obviously, we had blueberries, but those, man, look here, man. Those. Whoo, man, I. Man, that. I, I. I don't really eat pears like that anymore because I ate so much of them, right? And you talk about to tear your stomach up.
Shannon Sharpe
Pears. Yeah, I like pear. I like pears and plums. Pears and plums were.
Chad Johnson
Oh, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, man, I had. I had a procedure a couple of months ago, Ocho.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
And you know, they give you the anesthesia. You know, you'd be backed up, right? I said, shelly, go give me some chocolate milk and give me two apples.
Shannon Sharpe
That's it.
Chad Johnson
I ain't. Ocho, guess what? I ain't really want nothing but the peel I ain't eating nothing but the peel, right? That chocolate milk. Yeah, about 30 minutes.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, you, you was clean. Clean. You right out.
Chad Johnson
What? So you 57 Chevy, you like. Hey, with the car burn clean and that number of water be coming out the exhaust.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. So you can't drink coffee or nothing like that.
Chad Johnson
Oh no. What? Look here. I could drink it if I'm sitting on the toilet, right? Because they're gonna go straight through me. Yeah, I don't fool with no coffee, man. Well, I don't really, I don't, I don't even. Like I said, like that warm tea, right? Like I used to drink that warm tea, right. Man, I got tired of getting up in the middle of the night.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, I have about 3, 4 cups of coffee a day. I can't go, but I can't go without my coffee.
Chad Johnson
But I'm too, but I'm too, I'm too, I'm too high strung anyway, Ocho, right? I'm too high strung. I can't, I can't, I can't fool with stuff like that. But like I, I know what works with me, right? Like we going through the airport and I'm like, yeah, now, now, let me leave that alone.
Shannon Sharpe
Right, right, right. Damn.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, yeah. Hey, me and Time be doing commercial together. He got, he got on small depends. I got no big depends. Blow it down, you know. Hey, dude, I don't fool with that stuff. But look, I learned how to. Hey, Levy, I remember if you from the Atlanta area, you know, Eatonton, there's this camp called Rock Eagle. And I never forget, it was my grandma scraped up. I think she might have borrowed the money from Mr. Joe and Ms. Joanne. 35 was 35 to go away from the week. You left Monday morning and you came back Friday afternoon. But anyway, ocho, so it's 35 and you put down the activities that you wanted to do. Like if you could swim, like you could do canoeing and you could do all this other stuff, you could do archery, you know. But the first year we. I went my. So I couldn't swim. So my sister like, I think I was like the fourth grade. My sister signed me up for something and I'm saying, man, all my friend, cuz it came pool time and then all my friends, I see Grady kick Lotta Ricky, Bland, semi driggers, Walter, everybody in the pool, man. I'm like, Ocho, I got my face, I got my. In the wirefish like this. And I'm looking, I just looking, I just looking. It's like Shannon, come on in. I was like, I don't know how to swim. It's like, just jump in. I'm like, are y' all crazy? What the hell is that? I'm like, did y' all not hear what I said? I said, I can't swim. Yeah, they talking about, we'll teach you. So, you know. Oo. I come on in there, right? I said, well, okay. So I o. I'm thinking, I'm like, they gonna give me some lessons. Say, okay, you do this and you do that, right? They said, well, jump in. I said, well, how you teaching me? They said, look, jump. Go on the diving board. They ain't put me in the little kitty area.
Shannon Sharpe
They said, wait, you went to the. You went to the deep end?
Chad Johnson
Ocho, I get jump. They said, jump off the diving board. They say, if you drown it, we'll save you. Oh, my dumb ass.
Shannon Sharpe
Baloo.
Chad Johnson
Hey, I. I know, I know they're not watching this, but Rock Eagle, that's where I learned how to swim. That's. So I jumped. I jumped in off the. It was 13ft. I jumped in. Yeah, they say, see, you can swim. I like. I don't really think that's swimming what I did, but.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, boy, listen, black folk play too many games. Somebody save you there. It'd be just somebody. Look, you jump in there and they sitting there laughing and kikiing and. Haha. Yeah, and you mess around and drown, boy.
Chad Johnson
I don't play. But hey, we had. I mean. I mean, for the most part, it's a small. Glenville ain't that big, right? Most of the guys, we were in the same. We're in the same homeroom, so we're in the same class. We know. We. I. I've been knowing them, right, Since. Since I went to kindergarten. You say kindergarten. Kindergarten, right. We say kindergarten, but I've been notable. I went up there, jumped off and been. Been swimming, been. Been learned. Basically taught myself. I can't swim like Michael Phelps, but I can save myself. Yeah, but. But, man, those were the days, Ocho, man, the things that, you know, like, I'd be thinking about it, man. I'll be talking to my brothers. I said, man, you remember that? You remember we did. But hey, don't y' all go. Don't y' all go down there and go swimming in the clay hole. What we do? Go right down there, go swimming in the clay hole. I said, boy, just. I look, if something would have. If something would have happened to us, Papa would have killed all the rest of us.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Because I. I would have had to been the one because I was the youngest, Ocho.
Shannon Sharpe
Right.
Chad Johnson
So I would have been. I would have been the one that they pushed up to tell Papa what happened. Cause obviously, you know, I'm the youngest by two years. So it's me, then it's Lanny, then it's my brother, then it was Eugene, rest his soul. And then it was Arnell. Arnell's. My sister's the oldest. On my. On my. On my. On my mom's side of the grandkids. My sister Odin, she eight years older than me. Arnel was seven years older than me. Eugene was six years older than me. Spanky's three years older than me. Lane is two years older than me.
Shannon Sharpe
Right.
Chad Johnson
Those are the boys. That's. And then we had Robbie and Bernard, who was our second cousin. That's Granny, my grandma. That's her sister's son. Kids anime. Rest her soul. So Robbie is six years younger than me, over older than me, and Bernard is four years older than me. So I'm the youngest way, way young. And my dad. My grandfather died. I was eight. So, you know what I'm saying? So obviously, they teenagers. So anytime they need. They wanted something, hey, go ask Papa. Or go ask. They would say, go ask Uncle Barney. Well, you know, Ocho, I go ask, but it gonna cost you something. I just can't go ask.
Shannon Sharpe
Right, right, right.
Chad Johnson
For free. What y' all got, man? My brother told a story, Ocho. You hear him tell the story? Man, he cut me. He cut me on my leg. It's a little ashy. I don't want y' all to see this, but he cut me on my. He cut me on my leg, Ocho. But what he didn't tell. What I didn't tell y'. All. I didn't tell y' all the full story, and I apologize. He cut me on the leg. I put on two pair of jeans and a pair of shorts. He was sharpening his knife. A wet rock. I know you don't know what that is, but that's how you sharpen things. In the country, we call it a wet rock, right? And we put three in one oil on it, or we put something to get it and sharpen the knife. And he's like, man, he run his finger across. He said, I think it's sharp. I said, I don't know, spank. I don't think it's that sharp. He said, yes, yes, Shannon. It's really sharp. So, man, that joker hit me with that Blade, Ocho.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
But, you know, it started burning. It started tingling. I said, oh, Ocho, you got me. So I look back down. I said, it's bleeding. I said, oh, oh, oh. I'mma tell papa Ocho. So I tell him. He's like. I said, man, look here, man. How much money you got? So he had like, hold on, Ocho. Hold on, Ocho. I got. I gotta tell you. I gotta tell. I gotta tell the whole story. I said, how much money you got, Ocho? He had like. He had like three silver dollars. He had like a two dollar bill.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
So he ended up giving me like $5. So I got the $5, and I was thinking, I got to cut you back. So I cut him. He let me cut. He let me cut it. Well, he let me. Or I would go get the file, I get the money and tell papa anyway. Yeah, I cut him. I cut him across his wrist right here. He still got his car.
Shannon Sharpe
But that's. That's funny.
Chad Johnson
But he cut me first and then. Oh, well, look here. We. I. We were. We were.
Shannon Sharpe
Ooh.
Chad Johnson
I don't know how we became so close. Cause, boy, we try to kill each other.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Growing up. No, you don't know about the country, but if you're from. If you're from the country and you from the south or you from Texas or somewhere, you know, to pick fork is right.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. I know about the pitfall. Yeah. For the hay.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. Ocho, that joker made me mad.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
I stuck the pig fork in his leg, right, Ocho? I stuck it in his leg.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
And I froze. You know what that joker did?
Shannon Sharpe
What?
Chad Johnson
Pull it out and stuck it in my leg. I don't know why I froze, Ocho. If I could have just took off running, he couldn't have got me. But I froze because I think. I think my. Like, I'm like, damn, I did that.
Shannon Sharpe
You. You wait. You ain't stick him hard though, huh?
Chad Johnson
Oh, it went in. Yeah. Oh, yeah, it went in. I don't know why I froze with you. I could have. I could. I could have ran. I could have ran and gotta wait.
Shannon Sharpe
It better not to run. Go ahead and take your punishment right there. You know he gonna get you one way or another. Yeah, man, but that's funny.
Chad Johnson
That boy, Ocho, you ever play, man, we used to play like, who could hit the. Who could hit the softest? I fall for that. I mean, I fell for this thing like four times before I caught on. So, you know. Oo, like, okay, we gonna punch, punch in the arm and see who can hit the softest, right? So you know, he's like, you go first. So I was like, oo. Then he was like. I was like, oh. By the third time that jo go, I lost. Oh, Joe told me like three or four times before. I'm like, hold on, bro, you ain't trying. You ain't trying to win, right? But, oh, we do. Hey, man, look here. That yo used to beat me down, Ocho. He ain't let nobody else pick on me, right? Man, I'm gonna get it. John Randall says he used to not shower before games. During an interview with Marshawn Lynch. Beast Mode went on to talk about how old Lime on his team peed on himself before the first snap of every game. What's the wildest opponent story like this Ocho you have?
Shannon Sharpe
Ooh, that's a good one.

Shannon Sharpe
Damn. I ain't got nothing. That crazy, huh?
Chad Johnson
Oh, all the linemen. I mean, everybody knows. Stink will tell you. Stink would pee on himself. You know what I hate, Ocho? Them linemen, they make themselves throw up, and, you know, it's a gag reflex. You hear that? In the bathroom.
Shannon Sharpe
Right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right.
Chad Johnson
I'm like, come on, man. Damn.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. I'm trying to think because, I mean, I'm sure. I'm sure. Obviously, the lineman did some crazy stuff back then.
Chad Johnson
We had a guy on our team, Ocho, named Darren Drozdov, rest his soul. He ended up getting. He was. He came, he returned, became a professional wrestler and ended up breaking his par. Breaking the neck. Paralyzed himself, and he ended up passing away. Oo. He could throw up on command. You could be. Hey, you could be standing there talking to him, talking to him just like you and I having a conversation.
Shannon Sharpe
Right, right.
Chad Johnson
Like drive dog, throw up.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. I mean, he got control. He got control of his.
Chad Johnson
Oh, he threw up on the. He threw up on. He was. He was the nose guard.
Shannon Sharpe
He threw up on the ball.
Chad Johnson
Yep.
Shannon Sharpe
I know. John. Were hot, right?
Chad Johnson
No, it was. He was on the opposing team. Oh. Oh, but, hey, lineman. Offensive lineman, them jokers there, they.
Shannon Sharpe
They crazy. They got some weird.
Chad Johnson
They got. They got to be like that just in the locker room or around the guys. Ain't no way. Cause, you know, most of the offensive linemen, they got like three, four, five kids. Ain't no way y' all like this at home, right?
Shannon Sharpe
Right, Right.
Chad Johnson
Y' all nasty. A locker junkie.
Shannon Sharpe
Wow.
Chad Johnson
Y' all funky. I said, oh, no.
Shannon Sharpe
Drunk coming in drunk. You can smell it in the middle.
Chad Johnson
But, yeah, yeah, but the offensive lineman. Yeah, but Stink was notorious for peeing on himself. I mean, we used to pee on the sidelines, you know what I'm saying?
Shannon Sharpe
Because we can, you know, get a little towels. Training.
Chad Johnson
Get a little towel. You kneel down, you got the. The training trunks.
Shannon Sharpe
You just.
Chad Johnson
Just lean a. Just. Just go in the bag, literally. Y' all know, y' all didn't. Fans right there. Y' all didn't know what we were doing.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, I remember good days, but I.
Chad Johnson
But I had to take. I mean, I took a shower before I. You know, because I did contrast. I did hot, cold, hot, cold, hot, cold. I did it, you know. Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
I did it before the game as well.
Chad Johnson
Okay, so we mentioned it earlier. Bill's running back, James Cook have agreed to a four year, $48 million extension, and that slots him Right there with Josh Jacobs. And basically, you know, or it's 11.5. Actually, it's 11.5. So saquon is still the highest paid at almost 21. And then you got C. Mac D. Henry, Jonathan Taylor, Albert Camara at 12, 250, Josh Jacobs at 12 million. And then you got James Cook at 11, 5. That. I felt that that slot ocho, between 11 and 13 was where he would land, right? So I thought, hey, look, it's more than what he was going to make, which was probably a million, $2 million, right? So he can't be. It can't be mad. He got, he got money. That's, that's. That'll set him up for his boys, for his career, for his future. 30 million guaranteed. You straight? Not, not to say that's all he's gonna make, right? Because he's young. He can't be what he 23, 24. So yeah, go ahead and try to get you a. A goodly a 10 year bid. You straight good. But congratulations, James. He was on earlier this year, Ocho Raptor season. We talked to him about it. Like, hey, I need to get, bro, you know, I need to get broken off with my bread, hey, so forth. And so yada, yada, yada. And they took care of him.
Shannon Sharpe
You got it. And he got it now.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. Oh, man. Roberts broke into the home of Texas hall of Famer. He's the first Texan in the Pro Football hall of Fame. Andre Johnson ransacked his house stealing multiple valuable items, including its hall of Fame ring. It happened in late July and an active police investigation is currently ongoing.
Shannon Sharpe
And Houston.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. Let me ask you a question. I mean, y' all gonna fence this? I mean, who, what, what pawn shop? You, you ain't trying to put your thumb down on no pawn shop. Listen, you got to give up that thumb at the pawn shop.
Shannon Sharpe
There, there. There are people. There are people.
Chad Johnson
They're fancy.
Shannon Sharpe
Listen, you know, I'm talking about buying, man. I. I think he gonna get his stuff back. Yeah, don't get his stuff back.
Chad Johnson
Joe Burrow got his back. Keanu Reeves got his back. I ain't got mine back.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, listen, Dre know the right people that whose eyes and ears are to the street. He gonna get his stuff back. Guarantee you he gonna get it back. Ah, he getting that back, man.
Chad Johnson
Ocho, I was reading the story about J. Paul Getty, the all the oil tycoon, right?
Shannon Sharpe
Like, like Getty Museum in la.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, yeah, that's him. Jay Paul.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay.
Chad Johnson
Ocho, his grandson Got kidnapped. I think it was in Italy.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
If I was reading the story, I. I ended up seeing them. I saw the movie, and end up. They ended up kidnapping his son and holding his son for ransom. His grandson for ransom. And he didn't want to deal with them. Cause so he ended up. I think it was. I think it was like, $2 million, because that was the max deductible at the time.
Shannon Sharpe
Right.
Chad Johnson
And then he loaned his son 800,000 at 4%.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay.
Chad Johnson
He said if I paid the full ransom, I would have 14 kidnapped grandkids.
Shannon Sharpe
Wait.
Chad Johnson
Huh?
Shannon Sharpe
Bring that to me again.
Chad Johnson
They kidnapped his grandson.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay.
Chad Johnson
Said if he paid every ransom, guess what's gonna happen. Oh, he started kidnapping all of his grandkids.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, that's tough. That's tough, man.
Chad Johnson
I hate that because I talked to. I. I was just. You know, I was just at the hall, and I saw Drake talk to him. Man, I like Dre. I didn't really get an opportunity. Ocho. Cause I was leaving as he was coming in, right. And so I didn't really get an opportunity to spend time with him. But, you know, being we did the road show in Houston and being at the Hall, I like him a lot, man. He real down to earth. He a chill brother. I like him. As a matter of fact, he was at the table. He was at our table. He was at the table with me and my brother at the Hall. But the thing is that, like, when you. You an inductee new right. You don't get to talk in the NISKI luncheon. So you just got to sit there and watch us talk, and then, you know, SAP is at the table, because, you know, SAP talking the whole while. Yeah, but it was good, man. I'm sorry to hear that, Dre. Hopefully you get everything back.
Shannon Sharpe
Get it back. Trust me.
Chad Johnson
Lamar Jackson has officially dropped his trademark case against Troy Aikman over the number eight, per the Baltimore Sun. Lamar filed a lawsuit against a last year. Said it caused confusion to customers who were looking to buy his apparel. It's just hard because so many people have eight.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
In Alexander Ovechkin, eight.
Shannon Sharpe
OV is eight. Obiwan eight. I got injured.
Chad Johnson
You got. You got this. Steve Young, eight. Kobe was eight. Numbers are hard. Now, if you talk about Gretzky or something like that. Maybe something like Gretzky.
Shannon Sharpe
Right.
Chad Johnson
But I think Dale Earnhardt Jr. Was eight. Wasn't Darryl Earnhardt Jr. Eight?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. Eight. The number eight car. Yep.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, it's number. Numbers are hard. Now, if you want to say a Phrase, you know, three peat. Pat Riley has that three, Pete. You know what I'm saying? There are certain things, but a number is hard.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
But he's. He's dropped the suit. Just missed. With prejudice, officials will be cracking down on faking injuries during the college football season. Ocho. The National Football foundation announced today that to combat the act of players faking injuries to stop the game clock, beginning this season, if a player on the field presents as injured after the ball is spotted for next play, the player's team will be charged a timeout. If the team does not have any timeouts remaining, a five yard delay of game penalty will be assessed.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, well, that tactic is out the window for coaches that like to use that tactic to their advantage. Now you can no longer do it.
Chad Johnson
Yep. The player also must remain out of the game for at least one down, even if that team is granted a timeout and may not return until receiving approval of a medical professional. Ocho, do you like this new rule?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, yeah, I like it. I like, gets. It gets rid of the rhetoric that goes on in college games.
Chad Johnson
The gamesmanship.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. By itself, more time to do whatever it is you may need to do. So, I mean, I like it whatever.
Chad Johnson
They do, because Ocho, we see they over there telling, go down, go down, go down. And so now look, and I get it, you know, sometimes guys, you know, might be hurt. Well, if you seriously hurt. If you're seriously hurt, they don't need to tell you to go down. When the last time you see somebody really hurt themselves and they like, go down.
Shannon Sharpe
No, they gonna go down if they. If you really hurt you.
Chad Johnson
Exactly. So I'm. So. I like this rule. I like it because, look, just like anything, it's a copycat league. And so once somebody did. Saw that, what happened, you could stop it.
Shannon Sharpe
Everybody else do it.
Chad Johnson
It's the same thing, Ocho, with. When the defense used to backset sound like said hut.
Shannon Sharpe
Yep.
Chad Johnson
Now that cost you a penalty.
Shannon Sharpe
Yep. Right away, no more cheating.
Chad Johnson
Cristiano Ronaldo got engaged recently. Ocho.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
You see. Did you see what he put on her finger?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, I saw it. I saw it. I saw it.
Chad Johnson
Lord of mercy.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Five million.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. Listen, that. That's. That's. That's a nice ring. I think that's one that you. You're not going to wear everywhere. But to. To make it as a. It's a state.
Chad Johnson
Why not? He got security everywhere.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, but I. I just. I don't know.
Chad Johnson
She ain't taking that off. Ocho, I'm sorry.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, that's a little gaudy. I think she'll probably have something smaller.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, a little ostentatious.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, Yeah. A little.
Chad Johnson
Little.
Shannon Sharpe
Very. Got it. A very, very Elizabeth Taylor ish.
Chad Johnson
You say, look, I done been by. I don't been by this man for this many years.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
What? They got three. Three boys, right? Don't they got three boys on show?
Shannon Sharpe
I thought it was.
Chad Johnson
I think it's three boys and a girl.
Shannon Sharpe
They got four, I think, if I'm not mistaken, it's for. Yeah.
Chad Johnson
That'S good. God Almighty.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, man.
Chad Johnson
Now, hey, don't y' all run telling y', all, boy, don't y' all go showing this to your husband. But y' all husband and boyfriend, they ain't got bread like that. Ain't no man make two that make. Man make a quarter bill a year.
Shannon Sharpe
It's different.
Chad Johnson
Hey, hey, Ocho, what they say? Make 3.4 million a week?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, a week.
Chad Johnson
$3.4 million a week. That's huge. Congratulations. Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, yeah. Hey, hey, hey. You know, I'm going. I'm going to Dallas Sunday, right?
Chad Johnson
What's in Dallas?
Shannon Sharpe
Playing the big, Big three. Big, Big three. Celeb game.
Chad Johnson
Tell us about it.
Shannon Sharpe
So, Ice Cube, obviously, I think Michael Beasley's team is playing. I'm not. I'm not sure who they playing. They playing somebody, but I'm. I'm focused on the celeb game. You know, on my team is me. Hold on. I just had it, too. Who my team? Me. Hesigod. You know, Hesi. God, right? You don't watch basketball like that, huh? All right. Me, Hesigod. Waka flocka. Cam Patterson, mo motivator. And our. Our coaches, Clyde Drexler.
Chad Johnson
Okay.
Shannon Sharpe
And. And Ice Cube. Team is Gilly Wallow. DEZ Bryant.
Chad Johnson
Oh, y' all about to get cooked.
Shannon Sharpe
Lucy and Simba. So, listen, I'm like. I'd be doing all this talking, you know, I'm. I'm an exquisite basketball player. So I done started training down in Miami, you know, just to get my muscle memory back. And so I think it might have been D. Wade training. So I've been if on. On Instagrams and people in the chat, you go look at Remy workouts on Instagrams, and Remy and Julian, they've been helping me out, get myself better prepared for Sunday. So when I go out there and when we talk about the show and what I do in this game, and I drop 22, 10, and 9, I don't hear no excuses. There's gonna be. They're gonna be footage. It's on cbs. So you can watch me play, huh? Ad so, you know, I do all that talking and I'm gonna see Michael Beasley in person.
Chad Johnson
But y' all gonna get cooked.
Shannon Sharpe
Nah, man. Man, listen, not with me. This me. You ain't never seen me hoop. Mm.
Chad Johnson
Mm.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, now, I might not be as good as you when it come to talking it and understanding the game, but.
Chad Johnson
When it come to playing, I could.
Shannon Sharpe
Listen, I could probably. Honestly, I'm not even playing. I could probably come off the bench right now for the Heat. Right now.
Chad Johnson
Interesting.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, yeah. I don't need you.
Chad Johnson
I don't.
Shannon Sharpe
Don't set me no screens. I'm calling for ISO. Every time I'm a three level. I'm a three level score, huh?
Chad Johnson
You do realize those guys that's on the bench are really, really good.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, yeah, they good. They good. I was with him. Listen, let me tell you who was there today. Jay Rich was in there getting shot ups. Faron for Ron, man. Was one player from the Knicks. No, no, no, Ferran. Was it Hunt, I think Ferran. Hunt, then the player that played with the Knicks. God damn, I forget these dudes names. Jeff Green. Jeff Green was in there. Jeff working out. And so once they.
Chad Johnson
Jeff was with the Rockets last year.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Jeff. Hey. Hey, man. Man, them boys tall as hell, man. Jesus Christ. So you know. Yeah, I was in there. I was in there getting my work in.
Chad Johnson
I'm.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm in there every day. I leave here Sunday morning, go out there, drop by 20.
Chad Johnson
Good luck.
Shannon Sharpe
I don't need no luck, man. I don't need a look. Listen, when you prepare, it's like Shador. He got his opportunity. You saw what he did, right? So what you think I'm gonna do?
Chad Johnson
Ocho? Sometimes the happiest couples post the least. Couples who post each other excessively on social meet on social media are three times more likely to break up within two years. Research from Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin shows that oversharing your relationship online can be linked to insecurity, not intimacy. Psychologists call it relationship broadcasting, using public attention to mask private uncertainty. Psychologically, it raises the questions, oo, are you sharing joy or. Or performing for it? If love is real, it doesn't need to con. It doesn't need a constant audience.
Shannon Sharpe
Says who?
Chad Johnson
Says you're three times more likely to break up in two years.
Shannon Sharpe
Me? You'll break up regardless whether you post or not.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, I Know. See, I love. See, I love the way you frame it because you post constantly. So I love how you'll break up. Cop. You break up.
Shannon Sharpe
I mean. I mean, that's just. That's.
Chad Johnson
That.
Shannon Sharpe
That's life in general, whether you post or not. I mean, statistically, when you're together with someone, most of the time. Let me finish. Let me finish. So the longer you're together, most of the time, if you and that individual are evolving 9 out of 9 times out of 10, when you grow, they grow the opposite way. Most of the time.
Chad Johnson
It's just how long, though. They say within you three times. Three times more likely. So if you're going to break up, you're three times more likely to break up.
Shannon Sharpe
Right?
Chad Johnson
Within two years.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, well, you know, all my relationships are six years or longer, so I. That. That's. That's wrong. And I post every motherfucking thing. Oh, my bad.
Chad Johnson
But at the end of the question, again, public attention, private uncertainty.
Shannon Sharpe
I don't know about that.
Chad Johnson
I'm just the people that study. But here, listen. You're gonna break up anyway. Let me ask you a question, Ocho. You're gonna die eventually. We all gonna do it.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chad Johnson
Would you get. Would you get in the car and drive 200 miles an hour?
Shannon Sharpe
Me?
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Nope.
Chad Johnson
Why not? You're gonna die eventually anyway, so.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, no, no, I'm. I'm speaking statistically. I'm not talking about me.
Chad Johnson
No, I'm saying statistically, you're gonna die. Statistically. 100%. Well, that's 100%. A relationship ain't 100% that you're gonna break up, but it's 100%. Chad. Oo. Sico Johnson will. Will meet his. Hold on.
Shannon Sharpe
You just said a study was done, right? That study was done. Yes, a study was done. That's where they got. That's where they got their statistics from, so. Studies also show that 99. 99% of the people that get together, whether they post or not, they break up.
Chad Johnson
Not 99%, Ocho.
Shannon Sharpe
I mean, that's what the studies at Harvard. That's what the studies at Harvard.
Chad Johnson
99%.
Shannon Sharpe
Google it.
Chad Johnson
You get. You get up there with a. The pill, contraceptive. You get a. This man say d. Hey, this man said 99%.
Shannon Sharpe
I know who not breaking up, though. Me.
Chad Johnson
I would take your word for it.
Shannon Sharpe
Me and man, matter of fact, you know, I'm. I'm getting married. You coming to the wedding?
Chad Johnson
I'll. I'm. I'll be there.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay. Are we going through. I mean, we're going to the courthouse.
Chad Johnson
The outfit that I have. The outfit. Never mind.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. Yes, we use the same outfit. We going to. Going to the courthouse.
Chad Johnson
Oh, you going to the courthouse.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, we're going to courthouse. I ain't got time for that. I ain't got time for that. We do a big wedding later.
Chad Johnson
Hey, just let me know and I'll. I'll shoot down there.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, okay.
Chad Johnson
I'll shoot down there. I'll, I'll. I'll stand in there. I'll be your witness.
Shannon Sharpe
Right. Appreciate that. Appreciate that. All I need is one witness before I sign.
Chad Johnson
Man. Why I got. Why I got. But then the story will be Shannon Sharp in Miami secretly weds.
Shannon Sharpe
Wait a minute, wait a minute. Now. We can, we can, we can double it up.
Chad Johnson
No, we can't.
Shannon Sharpe
I care. You get married. That's a beautiful story. That's a beautiful story. So what you think you want to do it? I don't think that's never been done before. What, like two people get married at the same time?
Chad Johnson
Yes, it's been done before. I mean, there's probably. There was a situation. What was that? What. What Asian. What Asian country was that in? Was it Korea? Where they had like a thousand, two thousand people got all got married at once? Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
For real?
Chad Johnson
Yeah. Broke the Guinness Book of World Record. World largest wedding.
Shannon Sharpe
Well, hold on. Well, it is. It wasn't me and you. It wasn't Uncle. No Joe. Uncle no Joe married, headlines, boom, out the game waving the white flag. Game over to South Korea.
Chad Johnson
How many people, 35,000 couples got married in South Korea at once?
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, okay. Matter of fact, we can get. We going. We going to go to Cambodia and we're going to have a Cambodian wedding. Huh?
Chad Johnson
That's where your people from?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You don't want to go? No, we fly free.
Chad Johnson
I mean, I. I mean, ever since, you know, I would kind of been turned off with Cambodia since I read about Pol Pot.
Shannon Sharpe
What's Pol Pot?
Chad Johnson
Don't worry about it.
Shannon Sharpe
Is it bad or good?
Chad Johnson
He was bad.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, I'll tell me the story.
Chad Johnson
Looking at me like, oh, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
I don't. I don't know. I don't know about Popot.
Chad Johnson
Don't worry about it, Ocho. But you got. I mean, your people from Cambodia. Does she go home much?
Shannon Sharpe
You know what? That's a good question. Not really. It's been a minute. That's a long flight, huh? Okay, I get it.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. It's just that. That History thing that.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, a long time ago. The popot. Huh.
Chad Johnson
I was. Oh, look at these photos. This is a statement. This isn't snow. It's a. It's spider season in Australia. Referring to the phenomenon as mass ballooning, where numerous spiders release silk threads to float through the air, often creating a blanket like appearance resembling snow. This event, typically seen in late summer and early autumn, is a natural way for spiders to. To disperse and migrate. While it might seem like snow, the snow is actually silk threads spun by spiders, a harmless natural occurrence.
Shannon Sharpe
That is so beautiful. That remind. That's beautiful. You know what's funny? I don't know, Chad. I don't know your age.
Chad Johnson
Look at that. Look at that.
Shannon Sharpe
They remind me of arachnophobia. Remember the movie Arachnophobia? You didn't see that?
Chad Johnson
I remember. That's.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh my goodness.
Chad Johnson
I mean, just when you think you've seen it all or you're in awe of animals and, and, and insects or whatever the case may be, they surprise you. Well, not because, you know, it ain't nothing worse than walking into a spider web. God.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Cause you don't expect it. Yeah, but that, that's. Hey, I think that's what we need to do in the off season with football season. We need to go to. We need to go to Australia and other insects that we don't have here at our disposal. I think we need to go out there.
Chad Johnson
Australia got. Got at least five or six of the most dangerous snakes in the world.
Shannon Sharpe
That's what we need to hunt the western, the.
Chad Johnson
The taipan. The inland taipan.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
I want no part of that. They got all these spiders. Nah.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, you know, it'd be fun if we go find kangaroos and, and fight kangaroos.
Chad Johnson
No, you go ahead. I ain't Kangaroo Jack.
Shannon Sharpe
Nah. But Kang. No kangaroo. They throw, they set up. They be.
Chad Johnson
Oh, yeah. I mean, look, if I go to Australia, I ain't really trying to go to the outback.
Shannon Sharpe
Why not?
Chad Johnson
For what.
Shannon Sharpe
It'S about. You don't want to have fun. You don't want to.
Chad Johnson
I'm going to have fun at the Sydney Opera House. Who's performing at the Sydney Opera House? That's what I want to know.
Shannon Sharpe
Huh?
Chad Johnson
Who performing at the Sydney Opera House?
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, now we talking. Now we talking. You didn't. Now you speaking.
Chad Johnson
I ain't really trying. I ain't really trying to. I ain't really trying to be out there with no dangerous. I ain't really trying to be out there with them. Dangerous.
Shannon Sharpe
Since you mentioned opera, let's go to Portofino and go see Andrea Pacelli.
Chad Johnson
When?
Shannon Sharpe
Well, I was supposed. I was supposed to go on the 22nd of June, 22nd of July, but I couldn't. I, I. I was. I was. I was tied up. But, you know, hey, listen, I've seen Andrea Bocelli every year for the past 70 years. He just came back at where the Florida Panthers play normally is Valentine's. So this. This year, I went. I went. I went solo.
Chad Johnson
Which one? Which one is like, going down? Is it Bocelli, a blind. A Pavarotti or Bocelli?
Shannon Sharpe
Pavarotti passed away.
Chad Johnson
Passed away. Okay, so. So it's Bocelli that's going.
Shannon Sharpe
Andrea Pacelli? Yeah. Hey. In person, boy. Unbelievable. Unbelievable, man. And I've seen him every. Every year. I ain't. I ain't missed. I ain't missed him in years. Except Covid messed everything up. But now he's like. He's back. He's back coming again. And I was supposed to go the 22nd of July. And in Portofino.
Chad Johnson
I heard Portofino is nice.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, yes. Hey, uncle, you ain't never. Oh, see, see, now we can do that, too. We can go to Portofino. We can go to Australia. We can do. All right.
Chad Johnson
That's on the opposite side of the world. You somebody go to Italy and then go to Australia. You know how far Australia is from here?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, I know, about 18 hours. But listen, I told you I got the TVU camera pack, right? You see what Casa Knot them be doing? Yeah, me and you could do that around the world in the off season, like for the old folks.
Chad Johnson
Yo, so you. We're gonna get Jordan. We gonna get Jordan to film us doing that, huh?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, exactly. Hey, Jordan. Jordan, can Jordan hear me?
Chad Johnson
Yeah, Jordan can hear you.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, Jordan, you know how to work the TVU backpack?
Chad Johnson
He said you know how to work the TVU backpack. Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, man. I'm telling you, Unc, man, we could make a hit. It could be like our own little show. We could travel, have fun. We could do. We could go running with the bulls.
Chad Johnson
I'm not running nothing.
Shannon Sharpe
Will you just stand there and film me? Watch me?
Chad Johnson
Okay, I'll let Jordan do it. I'm gonna be at the end. I'm be sitting up on the fence.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, we could do bull fighting. You can watch me bull fight.
Chad Johnson
Oh, Lord have mercy. This man gonna get gored sure as I'm sitting here.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm good. I'm telling you, man. I'm telling you. We. We. Hey, me and you is musty tv. Then we can go country. We can go in the country. You can teach me how to hunt. You teach me how. I'm telling you.
Chad Johnson
Okay. I got you.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
All right, it's time for our final segment of the evening. It's time for Q and A.
Shannon Sharpe
That'd be fun, man. Got so many ideas.
Chad Johnson
Ice Trade 23 said. Love the show. Y' all always put me on game with knowledge. Y' all drop Ocho. I can pick you up from the airport in Dallas if you need. You need a ride?
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, hey, listen, if. Send me a DM on Instagrams. I know Unc don't really like when I get rides from people, but listen, I. I'm not paying for the Uber because why would I get it? Why would I get in an Uber? And they go charge me 60 bucks just to get somewhere. When you could pick me up, we can go grab a bite to eat, and we could talk football, and boom, it's perfect. I made a new friend. And, I mean, you're not gonna kidnap me. Why would you kidnap me? I don't have nothing to offer, so I like that, man. Send me a dm. Pick me up, man. And that's love. I appreciate that. Hold on. Before you go, hey, remember what. Hey, chat. Y' all remember what was that?
Chad Johnson
Chicago, Cincinnati. Were you.
Shannon Sharpe
No. When you got mad at me for getting picked up in. For having somebody.
Chad Johnson
Was that Chicago or Cincinnati? Chicago. It was Chicago.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. Oh, my good. That was. Hey, that was so funny. Hey, y' all remember when uncle's.
Chad Johnson
No, it wasn't. That you got picked up is that he locked the keys and you sat there and waited for him. Oh, you getting picked up is one thing, because if you got picked up, made it on time, I don't care about that. But you sitting there waiting for the tow truck like you got, hey, now hop in an Uber.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, that was so funny. But I didn't want to hop in Uber and leave him, and he took. He went out his way to come pick me up. So I was like, you know, hey, we in this together. I'm get in trouble. But that was funny that night, boy. That was funny.
Chad Johnson
Jay is Cal. You said the quarterback is the most important player on the field since he touches the ball on every single play. Does that mean the center is also the most important player on the field? How many pass have you ever seen the center complete? How many times you ever see the center hand the ball off? Come on Jay. Dr. Frankie L. Bellamy. Said, fam, I've been rocking with y' all so long, I'm running out of questions to ask. But don't worry, I'm still here every night showing love and supporting Doc. We appreciate that. We know we can count on you, Doc. Even when you don't get a question in, we know you watching Aaron. John said. Hey, Uncle Oo. As an Eagle fan, Shador's best comparison to me is Jalen hurts. He's got the proper passing. Training. Training. And now look at him. I don't think he's as athletic as Hurts.
Shannon Sharpe
Not as fast.
Chad Johnson
We'll see. Jalen has improved so much throwing the football. You look at him from where he got to Alabama, and you look at him where he ended.
Shannon Sharpe
Oklahoma.
Chad Johnson
And you look at where he started in the league and you look at him now. So you know what? If Shador can improve like Jalen Hurst has, I don't think he'd be disappointed. My question is, who do you have winning defensive player of the year? Early pick? You as well, Ocho, who's winning defensive player of the year this year? Yep.
Shannon Sharpe
I know. Who's running Rookie defensive player of the year.
Chad Johnson
You go. You go with Trav.
Shannon Sharpe
Nah. Abdul Car. Abdul Carr.
Chad Johnson
You go Abdul Carter.
Shannon Sharpe
Absolutely. Now Defensive player of the year. That's a good one. It's probably going to be a defensive end.
Chad Johnson
Yep.
Shannon Sharpe
Wait a minute.
Chad Johnson
You want Miles Garrett? You want Micah. I was just gonna say tj.
Shannon Sharpe
I say maybe. Maybe TJ Water. Miles Garrett. Yeah, maybe Miles. This might be Miles Garrett's here though.
Chad Johnson
Again. He wanted two years ago.
Shannon Sharpe
Or TJ1 or the other. Unless somebody comes out the blue and.
Chad Johnson
I want Michael to win it. I would like to see Michael get paid. Yeah, but if he doesn't get paid, I want him to win defensive player of the year.
Shannon Sharpe
Right.
Chad Johnson
And get 50 million.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, I like it.
Chad Johnson
Free game, Xavier. Hey, when you gonna acknowledge the tribal chief and get him on club? Shay Shay. That's Roman Reigns, right? I think that's the tribal chief, man. He.
