One on the board first half under twenty nine and a half so interesting it i it would be simple and very surface level for me to only identify it's a ten am start sleepy start i mean it's like me going to the big east tournament in the quarterfinals and making sure that i've got like the first half under on the very first game tight rims tight rims like oh just a little creaky to get going that's all funny that's good and entertaining but this first half could end up being a fact finding michigan mission because i don't think that utah can look at the texas tech tape and feel like it's got a really good look at texas tech strengths and weaknesses i mean obviously they looked good but especially in the matchup and i don't know if texas tech can look at the utah tape and have a good feel for what they're going to be dealing with and it's not that they won't try to take shots but the way that this total is set suggests that there are going to be like multiple possessions of moving the football and scoring and i just think that because of the way that these two teams have to learn about each other and the way that they have to learn about themselves you know first time that they've faced some real challenges this season i could just see this being one that's a little bit slower to get started so i'm going first half under twenty nine and a half.

This game yeah i do i think that the biggest difference for me with texas seconds here is that morton looks healthy and improved like he's back to what he was before the injury stuff and he's also appears to have taken a leap it's a little bit hard to judge because they have played oregon state might be sneaky awful right and they've lost what ten of their last eleven on the field they could easily be like if you told me they were outside the top one hundred from a power rating standpoint i would actually agree with you at this point so it's hard to tell and kent state is very much in the running for the worst team in the fbs so it's a little bit hard to tell but he does look really good man how much pressure can utah get on him i i do trust utah's physicality.

I man and i texas tech is such an off season darling i don't trust texas tech texas tech had gate texas tech should have had a better record last year than they did they did not do a good job of closing games out they did not do a good job of winning some of those coin flippy winnable games they they left meat on the bone and so if if that's what again like broad strokes here and they've added a lot of excellent transfer portal additions to change their makeup but i'm i'm a little distrustful of this texas tech team until they prove it to me that they can go into a place like salt lake city even with the early kickoff and come out with the win thought.

Do let's go i keep going back to that cincinnati game in which the bearcats with a totally rebuilt offensive line had a seventy percent rushing success rate in lincoln and i don't think michigan's offensive line is amazing but i do think it's better than what cincinnati has so i'm going to go ahead and take the wolverines here i think they will have the advantage on both lines of scrimmage.

Now that's what i'm saying i'm hey guys have you ever have you ever seen me fall for the hype before have you ever seen me jump way over my skis in terms of wanting to be in on something and wanting to wanting it to be now yeah i mean i just there is a chance that this is bryce's spot you know that we're all tuning in and we're thinking because this could be a matt rule program win this could be a big moment for nebraska and the sea of red and cbs and all like this this definitely was at four no for the first time in almost a decade if nebraska is able to pull off the victory this also could be bryce underwood already got one road environment to sort of feel that and go through the motions and he's continuing to stack experiences bryce this might be a spot for bryce and i'm with you on looking at how michigan lines up against nebraska's defense might be the biggest advantage between the two offenses and the two defenses so i'll i'll go ahead and i'll take the wolverines maybe like them in a in a money line situation if i don't want to have to sweat the two and a half but listen i'll take the two and a half you know or one and a half do we have one.

Nineteen yeah i i have not been that impressed by michigan i think bryce underwood shows a lot of good qualities for somebody his age i think overall the offensive operations left a lot to be desired for me i think that defensively nebraska has been pretty good throughout all of its games including the cincinnati game i don't think michigan's receivers are going to be able to be relied upon to make big plays down the field for michigan to help them move the ball i think michigan will have to run the ball i think nebraska if they know they can just put an extra man in the box will be able to stop the run i just i like nebraska at home i think not having sharon moore here is a detriment i know a lot of people will jokingly say it's you know better off for michigan because maybe biff will take you know take the sleeves off and let bryce cook but i don't know what bryce has to cook with like you can give him a stove but he doesn't have any ingredients so give me the huskers at home.

I i tip my hand a little bit in our big game breakdown i i like oklahoma a lot i don't like auburn that much and i think that jackson arnold is a very one handed quarterback in that you don't really trust him to throw the ball anyway and i think brett venables knows jackson arnold very well and i think brett venables is very figuring out what a quarterback or an offense's weakness is and forcing them to play that way to see if you can beat him that way i have a very good idea that he will have an excellent game plan for his very good defense to slow down jackson arnold and the auburn offense even though i really do like auburn's receivers i still don't know that they have a guy to get him the ball enough and offensively i talked about it you know i i also told you to take the material rushing over on the prop if you can find it because i do think he will get a lot of chances to run in this game and he probably will run a lot but i do not like auburn's back seven on defense i think oklahoma is going to be able to find some big plays in the passing game here and then matier is going to run around like crazy to keep first downs moving when it's not there so i like oklahoma i i'm taking them six and a half i don't think alt lines are a bad idea.

And a half under forty seven and a half it's going to be sweaty because with with all the yolo balls you know like those those can those there's a lot of athletes on the field in this game and some yolo balls can lead to defensive touchdowns and covering a number in the forties with defensive touchdowns is extremely difficult but i just think brent venables has a ton of confidence in his defense right now and he's going to let them go and take care of business and lead the way all right let's keep it going as we go on into the prime time slate illinois at indiana i think i might have two locks here yeah i got two locks here okay you want me to take this go for it all right so the fighting align i've gotten off to some slow starts you know and they're gonna be playing on the road you know kurt's gonna have them gassed up ready to go i i think that over the course of four quarters maybe something more on this later i think that illinois's got a chance to kind of like wasn't the nebraska game on the road last year tom yeah and just kind of hang in the game hang in the game you know where you down where are you down and then be able to go and trust luke altmire somebody who's done a fantastic job of meeting the moment at the end but slow start slow start so far so i'm going to go indiana in the first half minus three but then i am also going to add on to that over fifty two and a half i think that tom like we talked about on tuesday you're thinking illinois indiana you're thinking big ten football you probably think this is more of a rock fight than it's actually going to be when we consider both of these quarterbacks and the offenses and a game that you might need to score twenty eight points to be able to go and win.

I'M not picking anything here i've got enough on the line with this one because i'll be i'll be honest with all of you guys like this is a terrifying game for me because what's the knock on indiana always been since last year they play nobody they can't beat good teams what if what if indiana beats illinois because they might and then that means does that mean illinois is not a not a good team and then i got to deal with that because remember what happened when they beat nebraska last year people were like well nebraska is the first real test right and then nebraska goes to to bloomington and gets the crap beat out of it and then everybody's like well nebraska wasn't really that good if illinois loses this game is this going to become illinois is not really that good forget that eight next to their name in the rankings those rankings are meaningless so that's scary it's also just scary as an illinois fan because this is how things typically are supposed to go you got that ptsd it's like no they're going to lose this game but illinois could win and if illinois does win they're undefeated still they've knocked out one of their primary competitors for the playoff spot in the big ten they got a big road win two zero on the road and they start creeping up the rankings even further so i honestly my read of this game is i would rather have the illinois money line than the spread and if i am betting indiana i would rather bet an alt line down to like nine and a half because i feel like if indiana wins they could run away with it and try to run away with it to make a point whereas i feel like if it's a close game i trust the veteran experience team that's been there together for three years and has been in those games indiana has not been in a lot of close games and there's a lot of new players on that roster so when it comes to nut cutting time they might screw up so that's why that's how i feel about the game i'm not locking anything up though.

Same line of thought here give me the full game under fifty one and a half i i think the i think the defensive lines in this game will be will have a good a good enough time whereas i think i mean florida i think has the tougher battle but as i talked in the big game breakdown i think florida's still good along the lines of scrimmage i think the rest of their offense is a mystery but i do think this will be i don't want to say rock fighty but it could be rock fighty like this could be like thirteen to ten going into the fourth quarter so also i mean chip i don't want to steal any possible thunder for you but wouldn't it be hilarious this does feel like one of those games.
