Crime House Host (15:49)
On the evening of October 17, 2025, investigators from the Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI receive a second anonymous tip about the disappearance of Kada Scott. The caller tells him to return to Ada H. Lewis Middle School, where some of Kada's belongings were previously found because they missed something big the last time they were there. Investigators venture into the surrounding woods and start to notice a strange smell. As the smell gets stronger, it leads them to a wooden board on the ground with fresh dirt underneath it. Investigators know immediately what this means. They don't bother grabbing shovels. Instead, they drop to the ground and begin digging up the dirt with their bare hands. They dig past maggots, and the deeper they get, the worse the smell becomes. Finally, they uncover human remains. They're only partially decomposed, so investigators can tell it's Kayda Scott. As they wait for confirmation from the medical examiner, investigators begin pouring through digital evidence, and soon they discover some disturbing evidence regarding the circumstances surrounding Keda's death. They learn that Keon and Keda did know each other at least briefly. On October 2, two days before Keda went missing, she received a text Message from an unknown sender. It turned out to be Keon telling her he got a new number. From there, investigators find something chilling. On October 4th, the day she went missing, Kada texted Keon, quote, kidnap me again. And he replied, better be up, too. Now, we don't know if Kada actually meant to kidnap her. A lot of people use this term, as in, hey, come through and pick me up. Not actually kidnap. But unfortunately, if she didn't want to be kidnapped, it was a unfortunate use of words. But from there, the clues only get more weird. Investigators also obtained surveillance footage from the area where K's body was found. In the footage, two people are seen getting out of the vehicle around 11:30pm on October 4th. Then around 4:00am on the 5th, they're seen removing a, quote, heavy object consistent with a human body out of the passenger side of a car before carrying it in the general direction of where Scott's body was later found. The footage heavily suggests that Keon was aided by an accomplice, but so far, investigators don't know who that person may be. I do find it weird that they got all of these anonymous tips as well, pointing them to the exact location of her body. So I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kind of accomplice. Finally, Keon allegedly stole a 2008 Hyundai Accent from a nearby neighborhood. Investigators believe he used that car to kidnap Kada before moving her to his Camry and driving her to the school parking lot. Then three days later, he set the stolen Hyundai on fire before having it towed to a nearby junkyard, likely in an attempt to dispose of DNA evidence. Authorities want to bring a slew of additional charges against Keon. And when the results of Kada's autopsy come back, they finally get what they need. At the same time, the results paint a tragic picture of her final moments. According to the me Kada died just 20 minutes after she left work from a single gunshot wound to the head. By October 25th. Keon is also charged with murder, arson causing a catastrophe, conspiracy, robbery, and abuse of a corpse, and he's denied bail. So far, a court date hasn't been made public. On Sunday, October 26, Kada's family held a balloon release outside of the Philadelphia Art Museum in her honor. This case is developing rapidly, so we'll be sure to give you any updates as soon as we have them. Our second story today involves a shift shady beauty scheme that resulted in at least three deaths. Libby Automay was nicknamed the California Butt lady after she gained infamy for performing under the table. Butt injections. Even after she and her daughter were convicted of manslaughter, Libby kept soliciting clients. And on October 9, 2025, she was found guilty again, this time for murder. So what led her to pursue black market beauty scams in the first place? Let's dive in. The demand for cosmetic procedures has steadily risen over the last decade. And considering the high costs of many of these procedures, many shady practitioners have sprung up to meet that demand. If you are injecting anything into your body or having anyone cut into you, please, please, please do extensive research and make sure they are a person who is licensed and has no arrest record. Even if they do have a license, please do your research. As we will see in this case, going to the wrong person can sadly cost you your life. No one knows how Libby Adame got her start as a fraudster, but one thing is certain, she does not have a medical degree. However, in 2012, when Libby was 42 years old, that didn't stop her from launching a black market business performing illegal butt lifts in LA and the surrounding areas. Libby solicits clients on Instagram and enlists the help of her daughter, Alicia galaz, who is 15 at the time. Together, they provide customers with liquid silicone injections. People looking to get a butt lift are interested in this method because it's less invasive and and cheaper than getting implants. However, it's extremely dangerous. Liquid silicone can enter the bloodstream and cause a variety of serious issues, including fatal blood clots and strokes. For that reason, silicone injections aren't FDA approved. So if someone in the US Wants them, they need to find someone like Libby. In 2018, a woman named Taryn Quinteri reaches out to Libby, but she's not certain if she actually wants to go through with it. That's when Alicia, Libby's daughter, shows Taryn her supposed butt lift. And when Taryn sees what Alicia looks like, she's sold. She pays Libby and Alicia $3,000 for one round of injections. But she doesn't live in la, so she meets them in a Las Vegas hotel room where a few other women are getting injections done too. It's common for people to get back alley butt lifts in someone's home or in a hotel room. Taryn knows people who have done it, so she's comfortable with the location. And on the day of the procedure, everything goes smoothly. Libby and Alicia are attracting more and more clients. And in September 2019, a woman named Carissa Rajpaul reaches out to them. Karissa is 26 years old and recently moved to LA from South Africa to work in adult entertainment and she wants to have injections done. She agrees to pay Libby and Alicia $14,000 for three rounds of injections and they go to her house to perform the procedure. During the first two sessions, Carissa records a video while she's receiving the injections. She sends it to her mom to reassure her that everything's fine. But when Carissa invites Libby and Alicia over for her third and final session on October 15, 2019, something goes horribly wrong. Almost as soon as they finish the injection, Carissa has a bad reaction from the silicone getting into her system. She's gone pale and is struggling to breathe. But instead of calling for help, they try and give her sugar water. Almost a half hour goes by before they realize that Carissa won't get better and call 91 1. But as soon as paramedics arrive, they flee. Carissa is rushed to their emergency room and unfortunately, doctors aren't able to save her. However, they have no idea what happened. It's not until Carissa's autopsy results come back that authorities realize this is a murder.
