Up first. Today we're diving into a case from Spain that's attracting global attention not only because the victim is a billionaire, but because the case recently took an unexpected turn. On December 14, 2024, 71 year old Isaac Andik, co founder of the international fast fashion brand Mango, plunged to his death. Isak had been hiking with his son, 44 year old Jonathan Andick, when he fell 320ft from a cliff into a ravine. The case was initially reported as an accident, but the investigation took a turn and now Isaac's death is being investigated as a homicide and the prime suspect is his son Jonathan. To get a better sense of why, let's first look at Isak's background. Isaac Andik was born in istanbul, Turkey in 1953. His father worked as an importer of electrical goods, but he ended up losing his business due to political and social upheaval. With little money to his name, he moves the family to Barcelona, Spain in search of new opportunities and 15 year old ISAK was eager to help out. So as soon as they arrived in Barcelona, Isak and his older brother Naaman came up with an idea. Isak always had a creative flair. Him and his brother would make their own clothes and even embroider shirts, and people in Barcelona started complimenting his style. So they began selling handmade shirts to students at a local high school. Eventually they make enough money to be able to set up shop at local outdoor markets. And their popularity only grows from there. So much so that they start retailing in stores all over the city. Through all of their hard work, they're able to build the kind of wealth and stability their family had always dreamed of. And in 1984 when Isak was 31 years old, he founded the fast fashion brand Mango and opened his first store in Barcelona. To call the brand a success would be an understatement. Over the next couple of decades, Isak becomes a billionaire. However, despite being a high profile fashion mogul, he values his privacy above all else. And he prefers to spend time on his yacht with his loved ones over attending fancy parties. And he especially loves spending time with his three children. By 2015, he's decided he wants to focus less on work and more on his personal life. So he steps down and puts a few trusted directors in charge, including his son, 35 year old Jonathan. Pretty soon, though, Isaac becomes disappointed in his son's work. The company starts seeing a major loss in profits, and with each passing year, they lose millions. He allegedly feels like the company is not only losing touch with customers, but it's losing its soul. And he blames Jonathan. By 2023, Isaac reclaims his position at the wheel, but Jonathan remains vice chairman of the board. So as far as their friends and family can tell, there's no bad blood between Isaac and Jonathan over the matter. And by 2024, the company has stabilized and his net worth is estimated at $4.5 billion. Unfortunately, around the same time, his family becomes the center of some other financial disputes. It all starts when Isaac rewrites his will. He leaves equal shares to his three children, but he also leaves some for his domestic partner of a few years, Estefania Newth. When Estefania sees the terms of the will, she's unhappy and says that she and Isaac are essentially in a common law marriage and she feels like she's entitled to more money in the event of his death. Esak's children aren't too excited about this, and members of the family enlist attorneys to try and settle the matter. I'm guessing it's not what Isak envisioned for himself when he first set out to build his own company. But while lawyers deal with the issue, he tries to keep out of the drama and enjoy his Life. So on December 14, 2024, when Isaac and Jonathan plan to go for a hike, Isak is looking forward to a peaceful, refreshing day. The weather is clear and mild that morning, and the two of them set their sights on the Montserrat Caves near Barcelona, which is a popular hiking spot. As they enjoy the serene views, Jonathan walks slightly ahead of his father. They take careful steps along a stretch of the cliffside path where there are no guardrails. And then, according to Jonathan, tragedy strikes.

On December 14, 2024, fashion mogul Isak Andik is hiking with his son Jonathan outside of Barcelona. They're getting some fresh air, enjoying nature and trying to put their family's financial feuds aside for the morning. According to Jonathan, he's walking slightly ahead of his father when all of the sudden he hears the sound of falling stones behind him. There's nothing Jonathan can do as his father tumbles 320ft into a ravine and dies. Panicked, Jonathan calls Isaac's partner, Estefania, and then calls emergency services. When local police arrive, they seal off the area and bring Jonathan into the station. They know the story will make international headlines, so they need to gather all of the facts as quickly as possible. However, it's not easy because Jonathan is visibly shaken. Officers think that's why his story is not only vague, but the details keep changing slightly. The discrepancies aren't anything suspicious. For instance, Jonathan seems to have trouble remembering where he parked his car. While it's frustrating for investigators, it's not incriminating for Jonathan, especially because a mountain unit assesses the spot where Isaac fell and finds no evidence to suggest Jonathan's lying. So when the story makes headlines, everyone believes Isaac's death was a tragic accident. That is, until police speak more with Estefania. She tells them something Jonathan didn't that Isaac's relationship with his son was strained. She says the friction began when Isaac put Jonathan in charge of his fashion company, Mango, but quickly became unhappy with the changes his son was making from there. Disputes over Isak's will only added fuel to the fire. Her statements spur investigators to look more closely at the case, and over the next year, they find clues that suggest Isak's death wasn't an accident after all, but homicide. The investigation is still underway and authorities haven't shared much information with the public. But one thing that is certain, police quickly placed Jonathan at the top of their suspect list. Jonathan was the only person present at the time of Isaac's death and Estefania's statement alludes to a financial motive. Finally, In September of 2025, investigators track Jonathan down again and approach him on the street. However, he's not under arrest. Officers simply ask him to hand over his cell phone right then and there and Jonathan hands over his phone willingly. Days later, police inform him that he's being investigated for his father's murder. As of this recording, investigators haven't shared any concrete evidence that Jonathan is responsible for his father's death and the rest of his family is standing behind him. For now, this case is far from over and we'll make sure to keep you up to date with any breaking news. Our second story today follows the investigation into the death of 17 year old London Thomas in Detroit, Michigan. London disappeared without a trace on April 5, 2025. Authorities struggled to track down any leads until finally an earth shattering tip came in leading to the discovery of London's remains. Her family and community were completely devastated. And their shock only worsened when they realized who police were eyeing as London's killers. Her very own boyfriend, 23 year old Jalen Pendergrass, and Jalen's mother, 49 year old Sharla Pendergrass. On October 16, the mother and son were each charged with murder and and now authorities are gearing up for a potential trial. So who was London before she was betrayed by those closest to her? Let's get into it. In April 2025, London is living in Detroit. Everyone she's close with knows her as being full of life, with a big personality and an even bigger heart. London is especially generous when it comes to her family. She's close with all of her family members, but she has a truly special connection with her grandmother, Justina. She's always promised to take care of Justina when she's too old to take care of herself. But sadly, London never gets the chance. The last time her loved ones see her is at 4am on April 5, 2025. At that time, London's sister drops her off at her boyfriend Jaylen's house in Inkster, which is a suburb of Detroit where he lives with his mom Sharla. London's sister expects to hear from her later on. But as the hours tick by, they never hear from her, which is not like London. Her sisters never go more than a day without speaking, and they are getting worried that they haven't heard from her. They keep trying to get in touch, but they can't. London's sister knows something is wrong, so that same day, she files a missing persons report with the Inkster Police Department. But another day goes by and the fear continues to build as Lunden still doesn't come home. So the next day, on April 6, her mother also files a missing persons report with the Detroit Police Department. When investigators look into London's cell phone data, they discover that her phone last pinged in Westland, about seven miles west of Inkster, in the opposite direction of Detroit. It wouldn't make sense for London to have passed through Westland on her way home from Jaylen's house. Something isn't adding up, and their attention turns to Jaylen. Nobody had heard from London since her sister dropped her off at Jaylen's house. Investigators on the case are troubled by their age gap. Although there's nothing illegal about their relationship, it's still concerning. And they're suspicious enough of Jaylen to name him as a person of interest in London's disappearance. When London's family learns about all of this, they become even more desperate for answers. They post online and reach out for help from their community to search for London. News breaks out about her last known location and her cell phone ping. So London's friends, family, neighbors, and even just concerned strangers form search parties in both areas. They come together and fan out in the nearby woods, fields, and wetlands. But they don't find anything. Now, it's been almost two weeks since London disappeared, and there's been no progress. Local authorities need all of the help they can get, so they offer a $2,500 reward to anyone with information leading to London's whereabouts. But that's not enough to move the investigation forward, so local police bring in the FBI. On April 17, 12 days after London disappeared, the FBI head straight to Sharla and Jaylen's home. They speak with Sharla, who says she saw London leave their house on April 5th. But there's no evidence to back that up. And as the agents continue their investigation, they discover clues that suggest Jaylen and Sharla know more than they're letting on. However, they still don't have enough to crack the case until a crucial tip comes in that leads them to a tragic discovery.

It'S been three weeks since 17 year old London Thomas went missing and her family is becoming more and more frustrated with the lack of progress in the investigation into her disappearance. Especially because London's boyfriend, 23 year old Jalen Pendergrass, and his mom, 49 year old Sharla Pendergrass, were the last people to see her alive. But they haven't told authorities anything helpful. However, it turns out if they won't speak up, someone else will. In late April of 2025, authorities receive a tip. The man says he's a friend of Sharla's and that he has a hunch about where London might be. He claims that on April 7, the day after London was reported missing to the Detroit Police, Sharla called him and asked him for a favor. She needed help moving a plastic storage bin out of her house to another home about 15 miles away. He agreed to help, and on April 11, he and Sharla brought the bin to a nearby suburb of Southfield. There, they loaded the bin into an SUV that was parked in someone's driveway. The bin was tightly sealed, so the tipster never asked what was inside and Charlotte never told him. But now that he's heard the news about London's disappearance, he has a sinking suspicion. The man tells police that he and Charlotte simply loaded the bin into the SUV and left it there. So Michigan State Police head straight to the address the man provided and when they get there, there's an SUV parked in the driveway. Not only that, but the plastic bin is still inside. Officers brace themselves for the worst, and when they open the bin, they make the tragic discovery they'd been bracing themselves for. They find London's remains inside. It's not immediately clear how she died, but soon they make another grim discovery. Officers speak with the residents in the area who tell them the SUV has been parked there without moving for at least two weeks, which likely means London has been in this very spot the entire time. Now all signs are pointing to Jaylen and Sharla as the likely culprits behind an innocent girl's tragic and untimely death. To me, the fact that she was in a plastic bin and relocated is enough evidence that she was murdered. But when the autopsy comes back, it's confirmed London's cause of death was was asphyxia. Since this investigation is still ongoing, it's unclear when and how London was asphyxiated. But for her family, the only thing that matters is that they'll never see their precious daughter, sister, or granddaughter ever again. And more than anything, they want justice. Sharla is initially arrested and charged with providing false information to a peace officer. However, the charges quickly dropped due to a technicality. Sharla had allegedly lied to a federal agent, which, according to Michigan law, doesn't constitute a peace officer. I would have thought that lying to a federal agent would have come with harsher punishments than lying to a peace officer, but apparently not. After Sharla's charge is dropped, London's family gets no updates from for months. They're angry and disappointed because they believe Jaylen and Charlotte don't deserve to be walking free. They consider hiring a private investigator. But fortunately, authorities are still working to gather enough evidence to make arrests. And on October 16, 2025, they finally have what they need. Jaylen and Charlotte are both arrested and charged with second degree murder and tampering with evidence. If they're convicted of second degree murder, it could mean life in prison for both mother and son. If they're convicted of just tampering with evidence, they could be looking at up to 10 years. At an arraignment hearing on October 17, both Jaylen and Sharla plead not guilty. Jaylen is denied bond, and a $5 million cash bond is set for Sharla. Their most recent court appearance was a probable cause conference, which took place on October 22nd. More information about a potential trial is expected to be released in the coming weeks. As for London's family, they may have some more answers now, but it doesn't take away the pain they'll always feel knowing London is gone. Her stepfather says it's hard to be in the house and imagine her sitting at the table. And her father wrestles with a lot of conflicting emotions. He's angry about what happened to his baby girl, but he's also glad that the people he believes are responsible are facing justice.
