It was the week leading up to the 4th of July and the weather was perfect. The sun was shining and the water at Crawford Pond, a lake at a main campground, was inviting. Sunny Stewart decided it was the perfect day to take her paddleboard out for a ride, but unfortunately, she never return. We aim to inform, not to decide guilt or innocence. Everyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proven guilty in the court of law. Today we're covering two major cases in the news. The first case brings us to the campground in Maine where prosecutors are petitioning right now to have a 17 year old boy tried as an adult for his alleged involvement in the death of Sonny Stewart. The second case is about a man in Tennessee whose bond was just revoked by a judge. Austin Drummond is being held as we speak for carrying out the quadruple homicide of a family. He claims he was set up by a violent street gang. But was he really the fall guy or is he a cold blooded killer?

Before we get into our top stories of the day, I want to share something that I shared on my social media and that now the Crime House team is keeping a close eye on the seventh month old baby Emmanuel Harrow, who was allegedly murdered by his parents. Jake and Rebecca Haro suffered a lifetime of abuse during his short seven months alive. Law enforcement now believes that his parents lied about his whereabouts when they filed a missing person's report for him in August and that it was all a cover up for the fact that they killed baby Emmanuel themselves. It was also revealed that Jake had previous charges for the abuse of one of his daughters in 2018 that left her bedridden. Even though Jake pleaded guilty to this, the judge in his case placed him on a four year probation instead of serving his six year PR sentence. In a press conference on the case, the Riverside District Attorney said that if Jake had been put in jail back then, maybe baby Emanuel would be alive today. This is a really big story so the Crime House team is on top of the case. We'll update you guys on our social channels at Crime House 24. 7. Our first case today happened this summer and is currently playing out in court. A closed hearing was just held in late August for a 17 year old charged with a murder in Maine. Prosecutors were want him charged as an adult and we're waiting to find out what the judge decides. It all started on July 2, 2025 when 48 year old sunshine Stewart, who went by Sunny, arrived at a Lakeside Campground called McMack Cove located in Union, Maine. Sunny grew up in Union, but at the time she lived in the nearby town of Tenants Harbor. She rented a spot at the campground for the entire season and she's not the only one. Micmac Cove is super pop. There are always people around, whether they're hanging out by their tents and RVs or boating on the lake. But as this day goes by, things settle down a bit and Sunny decides to take advantage of the peace and quiet before it gets too dark. So she grabs her paddle board and hits the water. But Is not planning on being out too long because one of her friends is back at the campsite waiting for her. It's important to note that this campground's lake is called crawford pond, which I know is a little confus. Spanning almost 600 acres, it's definitely a lake, so it's common to lose sight of people from the shore when they go out for a paddle. Plus, sunny is really outdoorsy and knows her way around nature. She was passionate about her work and had worked as both a marine biologist and a boat captain and had even sailed from Maine to the virgin islands during a hurricane. I looked it up, and that's over 1800 miles. She was clearly comfortable in tough conditions, and the calm waters at crawford pond wouldn't have been a problem for her at all. But when sunny doesn't return by sundown, her friend knows something isn't right. She grabs a flashlight and starts walking around the lake looking for sunny. Pretty soon, the campground's owner, A woman named Katherine lunt, Notices sunny's friend on the security system and gets concerned. On her way over, she sees spots sunny's car parked in its usual spot with her purse inside. And when katherine speaks to the friend and learns that sunny has been gone for hours, they decide to call the police. In the early morning hours of July 3, deputies from the knox county sheriff's office Arrive at the campground and start searching. Knowing how large this lake is, they use drones to try and cover more ground and start taking the search really seriously. But as the fog rolls in, it gets hard to see everything. That's when members of the public join the search. It's not clear how much time passes after that, but with all hands on deck, the search party finally finds something. Sunny's paddleboard. It's found on the shore of an island at the center of the lake known as 100 Acre Island. And pretty soon, the searchers notice something else. Drag marks leading up to the island's shore that lead them right to sunny's lifeless body. Based on her wounds, officers are pretty sure this was no boating accident. When they get her autopsy back two days later, on July 5, their suspicions are confirmed. Sunny Stewart had died from strangulation and blunt force trauma. This is now a murder case. While sunny's friends and family deal with the horrific news, Local authorities launch a massive search for her killer. They immediately contact the Maine state police major crimes unit, and for the next two weeks, Investigators scour the campground for evidence. Fortunately, members of the public offer a ton of help, Especially the campground owner, Katherine lunt. Who combs through hours of security footage and even encourages campers to provide DNA samples to investigators. But before investigators announce any major breakthroughs, someone else steps up to offer their help. A 17 year old boy named Devin Young. Devin's family camped at Mi' Kmaq every summer, and they were there the day Sunny was killed. Some of the other seasonal campers seem to like Devin. Like a lot of them, he enjoys boating. But he also helps people with their yard work and even cares for their pets. In some people's eyes, it's not surprising that he decides to try and help out with the investigation. On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, two weeks after sunny was killed, Devin approaches investigators at the campsite. They ask him what he needs, and Devin says he has something to show them. Authorities haven't shared what Devin wanted to show the detective. So all we know is that he says it would help the investigation. He gets into a boat with them and starts telling them where to go. Officers may have expected Devin to bring them somewhere close to the island where Sunny's body had been found. But he leads them in the opposite direction. Then he leads them aimlessly for a while in what authorities describe as a, quote, wild goose chase. A chase for what? Again, unclear. But eventually they return to shore and everyone goes about their day. For Devin, that means going back to the campground and hanging out. For the detectives, that means trying to figure out what just happened. Because here's the thing. Devin either said or did something during that boat ride that raised alarm bells for the investigators. And a few hours later, at 10:30pm the they return to the campground, make a beeline for Devin's family's campsite and place him under arrest for the murder of Sonny Stewart. On the night of July 16, 2025, 17 year old Devin Young was arrested for the murder of Sonny Stewart. After that, things move pretty quickly from there. Mainstay police charged Devin with one count of intentional knowing or depraved indifference murder. They bring him to the Long Creek Youth Development center in South Portland. Two days later, on July 18, Devin attends a court hearing via Zoom and denies the charge. His latest hearing on Aug. 22, 2025, doesn't provide any more information. Since Devin is a minor, it is completely closed to the public and the media. The big decision the authorities have to make is whether they should try Devin as an adult. That's called a bind overhearing, and the date for it hasn't been made public yet. While we probably won't get any major updates until the actual trial, we do have some insight into why prosecutors want Devin tried as an adult. In the days following his arrest, local reporters looked at Devin's online presence and spoke with people who knew him and heard some disturbing rumors. Some people claim that Devin may have had violent outbursts at home, and he has even hurt or killed multiple family pets. At Micmac Cove, people have accused Devin of harassment and suspect that he tried to drown other kids in the past. And according to the campground's owner, Catherine Lunt, Devin was caught on security cameras going out onto the lake on the evening of July 2, shortly before sunny did. So they were out there at the same time. So although we're light on the details right now, I'm willing to bet there are many more revelations to come. So make sure to follow us at crime house 24 7, because we're going to be watching Devin's trial as closely as we can. But for now, Devin is in a juvenile detention facility where he awaits the judge's decision.

The next case is breaking news. It's early in the investigation, and more news is coming out every day. It involves a man named Austin Drummond who is accused of murdering four people in his girlfriend's family. He says he's being set up by a dangerous gang. But there's a lot about this story that doesn't make sense. This all happened in Dyer county in western Tennessee, which seems like a quiet, quaint area. However, there is a pretty high crime rate and federal investigators have gotten involved. With drug related crimes there. Let's rewind to July 29, 2025. That day, a Dyer county resident is hanging out at home when all of a sudden they see an SUV pull up alongside their front yard. When the SUV speeds off, the person notices that the driver left something behind. They check it out and they are horrified to realize it's a baby girl strapped into a car seat. Fortunately, the infant is not hurt and the resident calls 911. When officers arrive, they take the baby into their care and try to identify her and her family. Pretty soon they learn that she's 7 months old and she belongs to a local couple, 21 year old James Wilson and 20 year old Adrianna Williams. Adriana lives about 40 miles away with her mom, 38 year old Courtney Rose. But before the police can even contact them, another call comes through asking officers to go check out Courtney's house. The caller says she's a friend of the family and had stopped by Courtney's. But when she got there, all the lights were off and there was no sign of anyone. This was pretty unusual, so the friend got worried. Officers quickly go to the home and like the friend had said, nobody is there. They're starting to feel like something is seriously wrong after all. Adriana's seventh month old baby is back at the station with no explanation for why she had been dropped in a stranger's front yard. So the officers go back outside and search the surrounding area. And sometime around 10pm, while walking through the woods behind Courtney's house, they discover a gruesome sight. The dead bodies of Adriana Williams, Courtney Rose, James Wilson and 15 year old Brayden Williams. Sources don't mention a specific cause of death, but it sounds like each of the four victims was shot. Dyer county police quickly launch a homicide investigation alongside the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the FBI. And it's not totally clear why federal investigators were brought in so quickly, but it may have been because the unknown suspect was likely on the run, considering how the SUV fled after dropping off the baby. But it also could have been due to the fact that when a suspect landed on the authorities radar, they knew he was a major threat.

Authorities have identified an abandoned baby and they also found the baby's parents killed in their own backyard. They were murdered alongside a mother and a brother. An entire family was gone and investigators already have a main suspect. It doesn't take them long to identify their suspect, 28 year old Austin Drummond. Austin is dating Courtney's sister, who was a corrections officer at a facility where he had recently served time, which means Austin has a violent past. Austin's life of crime began in 2001 when he was only 16 years old. He robbed a convenience store at gunpoint. Then the following year, he was convicted of aggravated robbery and sentenced to 10 years in prison. While behind bars, Austin also made threatening phone calls against the jurors in his trial as well as the victim. For that, he pleaded guilty to retaliation for past action and landed three more years. In 2020, he was up for parole, but the DA's office blocked it, claiming Austin was a, quote, dangerous felony offender. At some point, authorities came to believe that he had connections to a violent street gang known as the Vice Lord Lords. We want to clarify that this has yet to be confirmed, although they were certainly right to view Austin as someone dangerous because at some point during his stint in prison, Austin tried to kill a fellow inmate and after that he was charged with attempted murder. Then in September 2024, Austin was finally released on bond. That's 13 years after his very first crime. But the very same day Austin left prison, he was arrested on drug related charges. However, he was allowed to remain free on bond and when his girlfriend's family is found dead on July 29, 2025, Austin is nowhere to be found. Authorities quickly announced that he's wanted in connection to the murders and some people express shock at his potential involvement. One of Courtney's relatives posts on Facebook saying that Austin had always been, quote, amazing towards the family. Still, members of the public are adamant about helping investigators find Austin, especially because authorities are offering a Reward, just over $30,000 to anyone with information that leads to his arrest. Despite an active manhunt and people's willingness to help find Austin, authorities have no luck for days. But they can tell they're getting close because their investigation kept turning up. Other Vice Lord's members who have alleged been helping Austin evade the law, gang members were giving him clothing, shelter, phones and rides. Authorities eventually find a lead in the case. Just last month, on August 4, they arrested three of Austin's accomplices including 23 year old Diara Sanders, 29 year old Jivante Thomas and 29 year old Tanaka Brown. They're all charged with being an accessory after the fact to first degree murder. Tanaka Brown is also charged with tampering with evidence. It also doesn't seem like any of these people have given any information about Austin's whereabouts. But soon it wouldn't matter because a week after the murders on Tuesday, August 5, multiple people in Jackson, Tennessee about 50 miles outside of Dyer county called 911 after they spotted a man who resembled Austin roaming the woods near the residential area. The callers say he was wearing camouflage and carrying a rifle. Authorities close in on the area and confirm that the man is Austin Drummond. And even though Austin has a gun, it doesn't seem like he really puts up a fight because officers apprehend him on the scene. Pretty soon after Austin is arrested, he starts making some mind blowing claims. First, he supposedly confirms that he is in fact a member of the Vice Lords and that he had joined while he was in prison. However, Austin also claims he is an informant for the federal investigators. Austin says he fled because his cover was blown. His story doesn't make a ton of sense, but it seems like Austin is arguing that he had been set up after the gang found out he was a mole. From there, he says he went on the run to protect himself. Investigators clearly aren't buying any of it because now Austin is facing a dozen charges including first degree murder and kidnapping. Officials have also said that the death penalty is on the table. For more updates as the story develops, be sure to check out rimehouse24seven on Instagram and TikTok.
