Dan Casey
They're both out of their depth and deep in it, folks. Welcome back to Sagas of Sundry Question Answers. I'm Dan Casey. We're going to talk about the latest episode of Sagas of Sundry Goblin Mode in just a minute. But first I have to introduce my wonderful cast. Joining me as always, Danielle Radford, Amy Poropal, Jason Nguyen.
Danielle Radford
I love protein.
Dan Casey
And today we're gonna talk about the latest episode of Sagas of Sundry, Goblin Mode. Folks, this is an episode where a lot happened. We made a real splash in every sense of the word. And I wanna start where we should at the beginning. And that is us falling through this magical mystery portal. Or in Jason's case, Jason's case, falling. We jumped on a. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And so we had some big changes this episode. We leveled up in a major way. We're level three now. Huge, which is nice. Fibs now has 20 hit points. So he feels like he's not gonna be felled by a slight breeze. But I wanna talk about Danielle. Your character, Bizzy, she made probably the biggest change of all this episode. What was behind your decision to multi class into Rogue?
Amy Poropal
Yeah, it was just so. Every decision I've been making with Bizzy very much starts from the point of this is someone who, you know, there's that thing born sexy yesterday. This is born Skelly yesterday. She anything. We've been cooped up in that dungeon. So she's learning about the world as she's going. And so, so much of that and a lot of the Bardi stuff was like things of the world, music, other things. Maybe she doesn't know so much about learning how to be charming, learning how to be a person. Which is why her charm stat was so low initially. And then we had that great adventure where we did do the greatest heist of all time, of course, in the journey to turn a kegger into a rager. And they massive journey. Gorgeous. And so they. And then meeting the pirates who again, seeing that community, that family, and the way it presented itself in multiple different kinds of ways and really finding a connection with them and with their cool factor. And so that combination along with. Yeah. Being able to like be Kya and like really freak out that elemental dork. All of those things.
Dan Casey
Poor Doris.
Amy Poropal
Yeah, poor. So that's where we're at right as the episode ends. Is busy freaking out Palatius and having just gone on this adventure. Now we are on a pirate airship. And so as we go through and the portal is changing her, it just kind of deepens more of that feeling for, you know, like she really enjoyed the sneaking around and the stealing and the thieving. Plus, as me, as Danielle, as the person playing busy, it's like, you know, I could have done fighter, but then like that you could just be a swords bar. Sword, Sword, sword, sword.
Dan Casey
Wield the axe. And wield the axe.
Danielle Radford
Yeah.
Unnamed Speaker
Swat spot. Sword. My sword.
Amy Poropal
Here's my sword. You can have my sword and my ax. But so, you know, there are other combinations you could make that are kind of already things that you can do depending on which college you choose or which way you decide to go with being a bard. This one, it feels very complimentary with the performance. There is also the sneaky aspect of being able to do more range to things. You know, I still debating on what I'm gonna do. Probably gonna do more swashbuckly things since we do have this ship right now we are in the water. So I'm feeling that's kind of sloshbuckling. Slosh, sloshbuckling. So I'm feeling like these are all choices that are, you know, carrying her forward and kind of where her not mine. Cause she doesn't have one where her skull is at.
Dan Casey
I love that though. I love especially it's like the lived experience of busy. And it turns out she really loves doing and she's good at it. So why not multi class into that? Why not splash into that bridge?
Unnamed Speaker
She's also like, if all your friends were gonna jump off a bridge, would you? And she's like, yes, I would.
Amy Poropal
Yeah, that sounds great. Where's the bridge party? Yes, we have a bridge party.
Dan Casey
I will be the best at jumping off this bridge.
Danielle Radford
Such a smart choice. Cause it's like, let's be honest. We love lying. We love to lie. That's our thing.
Amy Poropal
We are super into it. And also, I think it's funny that there is that dichotomy between wanting to get gold stars and wanting to be the best. But it's also, having been a minion for so long, wanting to be the best does mean finding ways to do it that are also viewed as subterfuge. Being thieves, being sneaky, other kinds of things. And we're seeing that you can still do those while on this path to becoming an adventurer, to becoming less of a grubby little minion and more of a save the world type. You can do that in your party. And so this is also a way for me to be able to. You don't lose your hometown and where you grew up. Like, you keep a part of that into. And my hometown and where Bizzy grew up is evil. And so you never lose that completely. You can take the girl out of the dungeon. You can't take the dungeon out of the girl. But that's the way I could find to transfer some of those traits into now the wider world.
Unnamed Speaker
Very cool.
Danielle Radford
It's also like, I also. I feel like it gets slept on, but the fact that you have a great sword makes me laugh all the time. Yes.
Unnamed Speaker
It's just their personal.
Danielle Radford
Let's do that great sword.
Amy Poropal
Let's do a great sword. It's for decoration.
Dan Casey
Here's my clipboard for business. But I also have, like, a berserk style great sword. Do use at a moment's notice. They never see it coming. And I think that's gonna do a hell of a lot of sneak attack damage. So I'm very excited about that. Sneak attack with a greatsword is diabolical.
Amy Poropal
Right. And also that's what I like doing the shaping the bones in. I could use those as darts. I could also use those as weapons and ranged attacks and things like that.
Danielle Radford
Well, we should get a stat block for the clipboard. I feel like it's obviously Busy's weapon of choice.
Unnamed Speaker
Absolutely. Yes, yes. Very profic. And clipboard. No problem. Oh, I just wanted to read the text chain for when we leveled up to three. And Jason goes, uh oh. Tippi is an artillerist and can magically create an eldritch all caps cannon that can have legs. And follow Tippy around and I respond no, period. What period? No. And then I, to lighten it up, I go, haha. What? It's like I haven't done the math on art. I haven't done the math on artificers yet.
Danielle Radford
Yeah, yeah.
Dan Casey
And having a sentient canon follow you.
Unnamed Speaker
Around right after he got a friggin homunculus.
Danielle Radford
Artificers, I'm learning, are so cool, pretty brand new and can do so many things. And I'm not used to such a spike in what you can do at level three. I'm used to that at level two or level six. But yeah, they get to focus on a specific role as a artificer. They can be an artillerist or they can be an armorer or a battlesmith. And I just, I was like, artillerist. Cause Tippy loves guns, right? He's gotta focus in the gun stuff.
Dan Casey
It makes narrative sense. Yeah, yeah.
Unnamed Speaker
It's reminiscent when I played D and D or like D and D light with my nephews when they were younger and they wanted to be sorcerers and druids and whatever. Like things that were cool, you could say. And the youngest one was he wanted to play with his older brothers, but he didn't know how. And so we made him the magical present. And the magical present was when the older boys wanted something, they had to ask the magical present, like I want a really cool sword. And they'd have to ask the magical present, can I have the really cool sword and the magical present. Got to say yes or no and basically grant them the magic item. And I think that's you. I think you're the magical person that just like has some magic coming out of him and can grant the party extra stuff.
Danielle Radford
Cool stuff. I mean like I did a double take when you know, it says in the write up, like you can choose for the cannon to have legs if you so desire. And I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Amy Poropal
Why would you choose literally anything else than tiny legs?
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah. I texted you my double take.
Danielle Radford
Yeah, yeah.
Dan Casey
Definitely could have the right to bare arms, but did you know that legs are also an option, right?
Unnamed Speaker
To play?
Danielle Radford
Yeah. It can move within up to 15ft and walk around, following around.
Unnamed Speaker
It can make saving throws in.
Danielle Radford
It can make saving throws. It has an ac.
Dan Casey
It leads a rich inner life.
Danielle Radford
Yes. It has wants and needs, hopes and dreams.
Unnamed Speaker
Well, I can't wait to see what Tippy gets up to. And fibs. You got some more spells in the world?
Dan Casey
I got some more spells. I got even more wizardly.
Unnamed Speaker
Yes.
Dan Casey
I haven't used any of those spells yet. So I don't want to spoil anything. I did tell Jason before this because I knew we were going into sort of an underwatery area. It had been sort of intimated that might be the case. I was looking at my character list, and one of the options was air bubble. And I distinctly did not take it because I was like, it'll be funnier if I don't have that in my back pocket.
Unnamed Speaker
Yes.
Dan Casey
Because then we'll have to come up with some other solutions to figure out how do we get this mouth breathing goblin up to the surface. I mean that in a biological way.
Danielle Radford
Thank you. Thank you. I love it. That's on theme. That's like all of us being able to have cure wounds and none of us ever preparing it.
Amy Poropal
Yeah.
Dan Casey
I just haven't read the instructions and learned it yet.
Danielle Radford
I was like, cure wounds.
Dan Casey
It's so expensive to learn spells.
Danielle Radford
Yeah.
Jason Nguyen
Why?
Dan Casey
Where does the gold go, Amy?
Unnamed Speaker
Where does the gold go? Right into the weave.
Amy Poropal
Sitting on all that gold.
Danielle Radford
Yeah.
Unnamed Speaker
Oh, oh. Like I'm the monopoly bank.
Dan Casey
The heist of the century.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah. When I say the mark's got 30,000 gold pieces, I mean little old.
Danielle Radford
Also this episode. Thank God for you guys. Cause I'm terrible at riddles. And I was like, uh, oh, there's going to be six riddles.
Unnamed Speaker
Okay.
Danielle Radford
What am I going to do?
Unnamed Speaker
I have to tell you that I sent these riddles to my family because I was like, you know, I tried to make them semi. Well, I will. I did write them all, so that was really fun.
Danielle Radford
They're great.
Unnamed Speaker
They're really fun. But I sent them to my family to make sure that they were, like, you know, a little challenging, but with the word bank, maybe not so challenging.
Dan Casey
No. I liked at the word bank that there was several things could apply to each one. And that to me is like the mark of a good puzzle. Where you're like. Cause this happened to me. I'm like, oh, I've honed in. I got it. And I was wrong twice.
Unnamed Speaker
And I'm like, yes, Damn. Yes. Yes. That was actually really fun for me. I was like, ooh, yeah, I get to do.
Dan Casey
Did you have a moment of panic where you're like, oh, no, they're dumb?
Amy Poropal
Cause I did. I went over to panic where, oh, no, I'm dumb.
Danielle Radford
I for sure did.
Unnamed Speaker
I think y'all got in your heads. I also think it's easier. I will say that I think it's easier to do a riddle when the words are in front of you written out, you know, as opposed to me saying them. And you're, like, doing that math, too?
Dan Casey
Well, the Sphinx doesn't hand you a ride out.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. But I texted it to my family, and they got most of them, except for the laurel wreath. But I did take that.
Dan Casey
Amy's family.
Unnamed Speaker
That one's a little hard. But anyway, they were all like. I was like, oh, maybe they're more challenging than I thought. And then the one that got everyone. And actually, Rin, the story producer, wanted me to change was the wings, because it's made of many dead. And I was like, yeah, but hair and feathers are dead. And that's just something I know. So what if, like, other people just.
Dan Casey
Know that you're just dropping bird lore?
Danielle Radford
Every episode is with you, Amy.
Amy Poropal
Birds.
Danielle Radford
And I love bird lore.
Amy Poropal
Welcome to bird mode.
Danielle Radford
Yeah. Welcome to bird mode.
Unnamed Speaker
I know. That's. Well, that's for you, Tippi.
Danielle Radford
Yeah.
Unnamed Speaker
You'll be.
Dan Casey
You're gonna transform at a pivotal.
Danielle Radford
Mom.
Amy Poropal
Oh, my God. I want to see that beak covered in goo.
Unnamed Speaker
I'm covered in dead things. That's what birds are. They're covered in goo.
Danielle Radford
I mean, like, I had real panic. Cause I was like, am I dumb, or is Tippy dumb? Like, I don't know. Sometimes I'm like, tippy's gonna make the wrong choice because he just doesn't know any better. But then this time, I was like, I, as a player, do not know.
Amy Poropal
I did have a moment of pain.
Unnamed Speaker
Well.
Amy Poropal
Cause my eye. As soon as I saw all of them, I was like, wait, is this gonna be one of those things where every word keyword on here is gonna correlate to something else? Is there gonna be, like, six different things? And I was like, oh, that's gonna be a lot of sorting.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah, yeah. No, no, but you did wind up getting candle at the end. And that was.
Dan Casey
That was a good bit of.
Danielle Radford
That was a great save, because I would have never chosen candle. I would have gone acorn till the day.
Unnamed Speaker
Cause two things had hats.
Amy Poropal
Yeah, that was. No. And that was why. Cause once we figured out that, like, the. I think that was that, y'all. Y'all figured out that the acorn had a little hat, and that's when I was. Cause, like, a flame's like a little.
Unnamed Speaker
Hat to a little hat guy.
Amy Poropal
You're right.
Unnamed Speaker
You're right. Well, anyway, good job, y'all. That was really. It was really fun for me to make. And it seems very on brand D and D, which I never get to do. I haven't Gotten to do riddles in a really long time.
Dan Casey
No, it's also nice to, as a player, to be like, oh, we're in a dungeon that has a puzzle that we have to solve.
Danielle Radford
Of course.
Dan Casey
Classic gameplay experience.
Danielle Radford
There's always one.
Dan Casey
And also, the room is filling with water, which will be fine, but Tippi and I forgot about Loof, So thank God she went into your diving suit.
Danielle Radford
Cause otherwise, Loof doesn't let me forget about Luff.
Amy Poropal
Yeah, y'all are bonding so hardcore.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah, she webbed all over the place.
Dan Casey
What are you gonna do about it? How are you gonna stop her from webbing?
Mike Carruthers
You're right.
Dan Casey
I can't.
Unnamed Speaker
I can't.
Danielle Radford
Literally, there's nothing I can do.
Amy Poropal
Unless you hurt a baby. I wanna hurt a baby.
Unnamed Speaker
But then you do get into the security atrium of Earned Kerf and immediately. Yeah, this is a whole new world for you. Immediately actually got stolen from. Fish mugged.
Danielle Radford
Yeah. Fish mugged.
Amy Poropal
Fish mugged. Yeah, Fish mugged. I just immediately had our thing stolen and then got just completely cornered and berated by security for not being from around these parts.
Unnamed Speaker
Oh, yeah. But before that, we did. Have you got Blast. There are a couple of things in this episode that just, like, really got me, because I don't know if you can tell that's some bubble entendre. I'm trying. I'm, like, trying.
Danielle Radford
How are you doing this, Dan? How are you doing this?
Unnamed Speaker
You got it. The tone of this place is very, like, heavily surveilled, scary. And. And so it shocks me into this giggle mode whenever. Yeah, like, y'all do some word play or whatever. I'm like, oh, wait. Yeah. And we're back to silliness.
Dan Casey
I love that balance as well, because I was just like, oh, wow. We're seeing, like. We're seeing, like, DD Atlantis. We're seeing this, like, incredible underwater metropolis with all these amazing sights. But also, everyone is, like, scared and depressed, and there's, like, really intense security. It's like, oh, I didn't expect there to be this sort of, like, really aggressive, like, sort of military security state right outside of this, like, previous underwater paradise. So that was a cool thing to reckon with.
Amy Poropal
Yeah, we go right into, like, the Gulag. Like, the Glug.
Dan Casey
The Gulag.
Danielle Radford
The Glug. Glug.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah, the Gulag. I mean, the way I do imagine Earnedker Fathom is very. I mean, it is ancient. Right. If it lived underwater, then it survived the searing and everything. And so it is a place of deep lore. And, of course, at the Basis of all the lore is our beautiful tapestry.
Danielle Radford
Oh, yeah. Shout out to involving the tapestry. That's awesome.
Dan Casey
Clint Carney did such a fantastic job. He and his team, phenomenal job on all of the set design. And I just love the tapestry when they talked about incorporating that.
Unnamed Speaker
Absolutely. Yeah. And so the amount of lore, it's just kind of commonplace for these people. That's why Thresh is just like, oh, yeah, the Sundari this. That. It's like, many of the things that you've had questions about of, like, what is going on here? Like, yeah, they just kind of know. It's just now since the Scythe is here, no one's talking about it.
Amy Poropal
Yeah, we found a lot of stuff out this episode. That's why I was like, I know we had, like, moving around to do, but I just wanted to keep asking questions because we just kept finding out more and more and more of, like, these little building blocks. And some of it was stuff that we were kind of putting together above the table, but our characters hadn't got there yet. And then a lot of it was just, like, slotting in, like, these. Slotting in these little puzzle pieces, much like the pillars where we were finding out, you know, like, things and the way that they worked from this kind of breadcrumb trail that we had.
Unnamed Speaker
Totally had. Totally.
Danielle Radford
Oh, yeah. And big, big little piece of lore. We know now where Fibs is from. Kalir.
Unnamed Speaker
Oh, yes.
Dan Casey
It's still a mystery to me.
Amy Poropal
It sounds like you were a gallantling, like, looking, hearing from the flashbacks.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah.
Dan Casey
I come from a place where gallantlings roam.
Danielle Radford
And we had a busy flashback, too. A real busy day. We did.
Amy Poropal
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, yeah, it sounds like busy, obviously, like, her nightmare. Getting demoted. Still figuring out, like, what's going on with kind of, like, this cult. It's sounding like, is she part of it? Is she not part of. Who is this guy that she's trying to maybe protect by slacking? That sounds wrong and bad. So trying to protect someone and. Yeah, busy's got a lot of that. We know she got kids. We know that she has this sense of duty and that she's not using it for some reason.
Unnamed Speaker
And, you know her race. Yeah.
Amy Poropal
And we know that she's a dwarf.
Danielle Radford
Dwarf.
Amy Poropal
Yeah. And she once had several beautiful beard braids, but now she is down 1, which is really sad and, like, a huge thing in her culture. Yeah, yeah. And so. Which is like, of course, like, I'm looking at the dwarf and, like, the. Like, in the tapestry with, like, the circlet And I'm like, that's really cool. Like, I wonder if that's something that like, busy knew about. Cause it seems like it would be something that she did.
Unnamed Speaker
If it's fully.
Dan Casey
There's a connection for sure.
Amy Poropal
So that's interesting.
Unnamed Speaker
Oh, it's so interesting. Isn't it all just so interesting? Y'all did make my little heart happy. This was going. I did plan on at least the geography location earned Kerr Fathom being a lore heavy place that did have a lot of answers to questions. And it's really cool that in this episode. Yeah. Your curiosity did lead you down.
Dan Casey
That rolled well for a change, actually.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. Some deception.
Dan Casey
Yeah, we rolled well on lore Rol, but not when it comes to like, combat.
Unnamed Speaker
Combating deception. I know, I know.
Dan Casey
We're truth seekers.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah. So what do you think about Eunzu being like, maybe even a bigger player than you might have thought? Or did you always think that he was a big player?
Dan Casey
Oh, we always knew that Eunzoug was a big player, so we followed him.
Danielle Radford
Yeah.
Unnamed Speaker
Okay.
Dan Casey
Okay.
Amy Poropal
Play on, playa.
Dan Casey
Game recognize game.
Danielle Radford
I think there is a feeling, I think at least that growing for me as Tippi of like, why is this happening to me? Like, why me? I just wanted to serve Eunzoog and do my thing. But it feels like these machinations keep involving. You know what I mean, Keep ruining my life in some way.
Dan Casey
Tippy had a great. He had this great line, this episode about, I'm tired of all these cults and factions and overlords. They don't care about us. And it was just all of his anxieties.
Danielle Radford
Finally. Yeah, finally coming out. Just because he just wants to save Pekora. That's all he wants. Yeah, he's in a bikini now.
Dan Casey
I also love that you keep having him have to do some wisdom save so he doesn't kill.
Danielle Radford
Can I ask wolf wisdom? Did I roll for to a suppressed boner? Like, what was that? What was that wisdom save? You were like, oh, yeah, of course. In a bikini make a wisdom save.
Dan Casey
If you failed, you would have gone awooga.
Danielle Radford
Oh, suddenly you're holding a cushion over your private.
Dan Casey
Your eyes pop out of your sk.
Unnamed Speaker
I think we'll find out soon enough what that was.
Danielle Radford
I was like, what was that? I made an earlier wisdom save about her as well.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah, you had a DC13 and I.
Danielle Radford
Was wondering about that the whole time.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah. Yeah.
Danielle Radford
Okay, well then you have to make.
Dan Casey
A constitution, say, versus protein, so you'll be okay.
Unnamed Speaker
Oh my God, the protein. Like, I do know That I notoriously like, giggle, laugh, cry, whatever, but that I don't think I've cried this entire time until this episode when y'all went off about protein. Because here. Here's the thing I know about protein. Or smells are protein. That's, like, how you get smell.
Danielle Radford
Ganchen malate.
Dan Casey
And so it's, like, funnest acting today.
Unnamed Speaker
So there's, like, dumb in my mind. I'm, like, underwater. I think people can't. Or, like, animals can smell protein. That's like, dogs can smell the protein. And so egg on my face for even breathing that word.
Danielle Radford
Sorry. Don't need to say it.
Unnamed Speaker
I don't need to say it.
Dan Casey
So goo on my she.
Amy Poropal
Oh, yeah.
Unnamed Speaker
Oh, man.
Amy Poropal
Oh, busy's probably.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah.
Amy Poropal
Bizzy's probably gonna be really upset if we lost any of that, like, pressure. Like, it's all washed that precious unzook.
Danielle Radford
Essence. Yeah.
Amy Poropal
That was the whole point of getting the bed sheet.
Unnamed Speaker
I don't know.
Dan Casey
Maybe it'll be preserved. Cause it's been salted now.
Amy Poropal
Oh, it's been keared.
Unnamed Speaker
Oh, y'all went nuts. Y'all went nuts.
Dan Casey
It was just in the context of the bedsheet. I was just, like, losing my mind.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah, me too. And then I also know that I'm covered in really cool makeup, so I'm trying to cr. Do the thing, you know, like girls at weddings and just like, oh, where's the tears? And not trying to get it all over my face. Anyway, that's the hardest part of Dungeons and Dragons is when you laugh so hard, you cry, and then you can't. Then you're wearing cool makeup, and you can't smear it.
Dan Casey
I can't argue with that.
Danielle Radford
It is the hardest part.
Unnamed Speaker
It's the hardest part of Dungeons and Dragons.
Dan Casey
The other hard part is remembering all the notes you wrote down in previous sessions.
Amy Poropal
You are doing so good.
Dan Casey
Yeah, well, it's. Cause you'd say something, and then I'd be like, oh, my God. Like, Winter soldier activation phrase. I'd have to be like, Ify's character said this, like, two episodes ago.
Danielle Radford
Yeah.
Unnamed Speaker
Oh, yeah. And you're.
Dan Casey
Danielle discovered this when Bizzy deciphered she cast comprehend languages to remember Abyssal.
Unnamed Speaker
Yes. And Gagongan was the thing that you recognized and you nailed.
Danielle Radford
And I knew Dan was the better note taker, so I was like, fibs. You remember gagging, right?
Unnamed Speaker
I have a fun story about Gogangen. So in that moment, two whatever episodes ago, I made up that name. But that name, Gegangen I've been doing as Dan knows, and we've been partners sometimes on Duolingo, and I'm doing German, and I have been doing it for, like, a couple of years. And gegan is an actual word in German.
Danielle Radford
What does it mean?
Unnamed Speaker
Went. Like, went somewhere. Oh, like you say, like, ikave gegangen. Like, I have. Or I went. But, like, I was trying to think. I think where my brain went. Like, who freaking knows? But, like, it's underwater, so I think my brain went to Gungan.
Amy Poropal
Yep. That was what I first thought was.
Unnamed Speaker
Gungan and then hopsgift and jumped to Duolingo. And I'm just telling you that to let you know that, like, das ist.
Amy Poropal
Misa freunde inspiration comes from anywhere.
Unnamed Speaker
It comes from anywhere, including your little language app. So I. So. But. So Gagongan is canon, and I didn't have that name before you cast. Yeah. Comprehend languages.
Amy Poropal
That's fantastic.
Dan Casey
My note just says receipt. Ariel Gagangen.
Unnamed Speaker
It means E commerce. I have gone. So anyway, I'm sure other people would have picked up on that by now.
Dan Casey
Yeah. Our German audience is just like, what the hell is she talking?
Amy Poropal
See, I'm part German, but I only know the cuss words, so I would not have gotten gegangen.
Danielle Radford
I'll add gegogangen to the list because now we know.
Amy Poropal
I would just say to my Oman, she's going to be like, now what are you talking about?
Unnamed Speaker
My favorite phrase in German is Mein beIN, and it means my leg.
Amy Poropal
Mein beIN.
Unnamed Speaker
Mein beIN.
Dan Casey
And German spongebob fans know exactly what you're talking about right now.
Unnamed Speaker
Well, we are halfway through.
Danielle Radford
Yeah.
Unnamed Speaker
This tin.
Dan Casey
It's fitting. This feels like. It feels like things got extra high stakes this episode. We end on a real, like, trench hangar with, like, oh, two people, one of whom we care about, one of whom is Crandall, are in mortal peril with this death cult that's going to try and raise a demon again, collecting these all powerful artifacts, and we're in this undersea nightmare death cult arena. The Abyssum is such a cool name, by the way.
Amy Poropal
Yeah, thanks.
Dan Casey
It's just like, okay, we went from being three local idiots to three local idiots who are now underwater.
Danielle Radford
Who are now underwater. Three different idiots.
Dan Casey
Yeah, but we are. I do. Like, the sort of arc that I've seen or that I'm sensing is that we went from sort of really not understanding anything about the world around us to the point where we're just like. It feels like an Abbott and Costello routine at times. Like, who's on first? Where we're just asking these questions because we don't know.
Danielle Radford
Right.
Dan Casey
To us now being a bit more active in our choices in terms of like, oh, we should probably lie to this fish guard because he's gonna take something from us otherwise. And we just instantly distrusted him.
Danielle Radford
Yeah.
Dan Casey
So I like that there is. I like that it feels like we're not still the sort of, like, rubes that we might have once been.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah.
Amy Poropal
We definitely got the naivete. Kind of has been beating. Been getting beaten out of us for sure.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah. I mean, you've known. Well, both of you have experienced bone pile, so that means that you've dropped to zero hit points at one point. You've definitely made at least one zero.
Danielle Radford
Close to zero.
Dan Casey
We've almost done several episodes several times.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. I don't think it's gonna get easier.
Dan Casey
And this time we didn't have the captain with us to do some cool glaive maneuvers and save our baby.
Danielle Radford
Don't worry, we have Gun Tippy.
Dan Casey
It's true.
Danielle Radford
Robo Tippy.
Amy Poropal
Right.
Dan Casey
Every time there's a new Tippy, I can't wait to hear what the new name.
Unnamed Speaker
I just have to. There's so much really clever word play going on. There's protein stuff and then there's Gun Tippy and Robo Tippy. Yes.
Danielle Radford
Clever word play. Gun Tippy and Robotippi.
Dan Casey
I just love Tippy.
Danielle Radford
Credit for that.
Dan Casey
I love Tippy's panicked etymology. But he's just like, yeah, of course it's Gun Tippy.
Unnamed Speaker
Yeah.
Danielle Radford
Well, wait, didn't you give me a Pippy? Pippy is. Yeah, My now robot all the time.
Amy Poropal
Yeah. Pippy is your robot name.
Unnamed Speaker
Oh, yeah. You are Pippy.
Danielle Radford
Pippy is robot.
Unnamed Speaker
And you're Rippy.
Danielle Radford
Pippy. Rippy. There's a lot of different Ippies up in here.
Dan Casey
Yeah. There's a whole multiverse of Tippy out there that we're going to encounter, which I can't wait to see more of. I'm just so stoked to explore this undersea hellscape, find out more about this death culture, and figure out how we pull off the heist of the millennium now.
Amy Poropal
Yeah.
Unnamed Speaker
Even bigger heist with a person at the helm now. Two. Two people.
Danielle Radford
Ideally two people in bikinis.
Dan Casey
Two people in bikinis and enough goo to go around. And on that note, we're going to wrap this episode of Question Answers up. Thank you so much for joining us. And as always, if you want even more sagas of sundry goblin mode you can watch on Geek and Sundry or wherever, find podcasts or Surface. Thanks so much and we'll see you next time. Bye Bye bye.
