Portage la Prairie offers an educated workforce, with over half the population having received post-secondary education. With 40% receiving a postsecondary certificate or diploma below bachelor level, Portage la Prairie has a skilled workforce with practical and applied education.

The most popular fields of study include key subject areas such as Architecture, Engineering, Business and Management, and Health.
