Because advancing a full contempt resolution on the Senate floor typically requires a 60-vote threshold—and Republicans hold a 53-seat majority—Chairman Rand Paul has indicated he may attempt to bypass a full Senate vote and send the criminal referral directly to the Department of Justice (DOJ). The DOJ will then ultimately decide whether or not to pursue criminal misdemeanor charges against the retired public health official. (a possibility of one year in jail) … Yeah, don’t hold your breath! Perhaps we spoiled them a little too much and never gave them jobs or chores of responsibility AND they never had to earn their allowance. Perhaps we were the spoiled selfish ones and left them to the “care” of public-school teachers and university professors, who taught them that America is bad. Perhaps we forgot to take them to church AND told ourselves we’ll let the children make their own decisions on faith and religion. We watch the gas prices, food prices and textile prices rise and fall… mostly rise. BUT there’s a volatility in the air that simply cannot remain. Like the financial crisis we talk about, there is also a morality crisis which will eventually destroy all, or will cave in on itself leaving a multitude of casualties behind.We are seeing this every day in our nation and around the world. As you know, I contend it is caused by a falling away from God OR an out and out denying of God. Much to the chagrin of the haters, our nation was founded on Biblical principles and laws… Judeo Christian values and morals. When the foundation is damaged (forgotten) the evils of men will then attempt to take over.I like to quote John Adams: “We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. Knowing that Americans, regardless of party affiliation, will “forget” or just not show up. However, those pushing bizarre and perverted ideas of our Constitution, be it local, state of federal… they show up… and they know that the voter turnout will be low on the other side of the aisle.
