This expansion creating thousands of jobs, will include two new fulfillment centers in the East Midlands by alongside previously announced centers in Hull and Northampton, which will open this year and next respectively, each creating 2,000 jobs. Britain is Amazon's third largest market with the company currently employing 75,000 people in the UK, according to recent court filings. We now know that OpenAI and Jony I've's initial AI device will not be an in ear device or a wearable. Furthermore, the AI device is not expected to ship until at least 2026. Tang Tan, IO's chief hardware officer and former Apple design Leader, in the June 16 declaration that the prototype Sam Altman referenced in his video is at least a year away from being offered for sale, he added. Its design is not yet finalized, but it is not an Internet device nor a wearable device. T Mobile is launching its Starlink powered satellite service Tsatellite on July 3rd. Initially it will support SMS on both Android and iOS and MMS on Android with iOS MMS to follow. The service will be included in the Experience beyond plan or cost $10 and will be available to all US users, not just T Mobile customers by October 1st. T Mobile plans to upgrade the service to include data connectivity for select apps like AllTrails, AccuWeather and WhatsApp, and has partnered with Apple and Google for this expansion. Accessible via search labs, this tool currently supports English queries, allowing for complex multi part questions and follow up refinements is powered by a custom version of Gemini 2.5 and supports voice image search. In India, a significant market for Google, the company aims to attract users who prefer chat based AI tools. By offering its own product, its early testers are asking significantly longer queries Australia's Internet watchdog is clashing with YouTube over a proposed exemption for the platform from the world's first law banning social media access for users under 16. The eSafety Commissioner, Julie Inman Grant argues that there should be no exemptions, citing research that 37% of children aged 1015 reported seeing harmful content on YouTube and criticized the platform's pervasive divine features and opaque algorithms. YouTube, however, accused Edmund Grant of providing inconsistent advice and ignoring government research showing 69% of parents considering the platform suitable for under 15s. The Australian government is currently considering the regulator's advice. As the December rollout of the new law approaches, AT&T is upgrading its 911 network to allow users to share pictures and video messages with emergency services starting in October. This enhancement TO AT&T's ESI emergency communication, the communications platform will help dispatch centers process calls faster and more regularly by replacing analog connections with fiber based IP networks, better prepping first responders with visual information. Since its 2018 launch, 1,700 emergency call centers have adopted this technology and finally, within a day of operation, the U.S. national Highway Traffic Safety Administration contacted Tesla due to multiple online videos. These videos reportedly showed Tesla robo taxis in South Austin violating traffic laws including speeding and in one instance, swerving into the wrong lane. TechCrunch reported that Ed Niedenmaier, author of the Unvarnished Story of Tesla Motors who is monitoring the Austin Robotaxi rollout, captured a video of a Tesla Robotaxi abruptly braking twice without apparent reason. A video reviewed by TechCrunch and posted on YouTube shows that in both instances the Tesla braked as it approached police vehicles in parking lot driveways adjacent to the road.
