The legislation, which mandates notifying Congress before advanced AI chip sales to adversaries, also includes a two year ban on selling Nvidia's advanced Blackwell chips to China. This measure, supported by lawmakers citing national security and US Innovation concerns, counters the White House's current policy to ease export controls, which argues that sales strengthen American leadership. Anthropic has published a revised 80 page version of Claude's constitution detailing the ethical principles and operational context for his chatbot and reinforcing the company's constitutional AI approach. Released to coincide with CEO Dario Omodi's appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the current document aims to position and as an ethical competitor. Alphabet's Waymo has launched its Robo taxi service in Miami, making it the sixth US market and initiating a major 2026 expansion plan, extending its lead over rivals like Tesla and zoox. The initial 60 square mile service area following a 2025 testing phase is expected to expand to the Miami International airport, with nearly 10,000 residents already signed up.
