This episode is brought to you by Capital One Capital One's tech team isn't just talking about multi agentic AI. They already deployed one. It's called Chat Concierge and it's simplifying car shopping using self reflection and layered reasoning with live API checks. It doesn't just help buyers find a car they love, it helps schedule a test drive, drive, get pre approved for financing and estimate trade in value. Advanced, intuitive and deployed. That's how they stack. That's technology at Capital One.

C (0:53)
And we are currently deep diving Brandon Sanderson's fantasy epic Mistborn. But here's the catch. Steven here has not read Mistborn before.
A (1:02)
That's right. Hei hei. So each week you'll get my unfiltered raw reactions to every single chapter.
C (1:07)
And along the way we'll do character deep dives, magic explainers, and Steven will even try to guess what's next. Spoiler alert. He'll be wrong.

hey guys. Welcome to Giggly Squad, a place where we make fun of everything but most importantly ourselves. I'm Paige desorbo. I'm Hannah Berner. Welcome to the squad. Giggly Squad started on Summer House when we were giggling during an inappropriate time. But of course we can't be managed, so we decided to start this podcast to continue giggling. We will make fun of pop culture news. We're watching Fashion Trends Pep talks where we give advice, mental health moments and games and guests. Listen to Giggly Squad on ACAST or wherever you get your podcasts.

ACAST helps creators launch, grow and monetize their podcasts everywhere. Acast.com. These are the daily tech headlines for the week ending Saturday, March 28, 2026. I'm Sarah Lane. Let's catch up on the news. Increased demand for Claude has driven Anthropic to tighten usage limits during peak hours. That's 5am to 11am at least in Pacific time, causing some users to hit session caps faster. Even though weekly limits haven't changed. The change affects about 7% of users, particularly those running token heavy tasks, and reflects broader pressure across the AI industry. Iran linked attackers tied to the Handle A Hack team claim they breached FBI Director Kash Patel's personal Gmail account, leaking photos and more than 300 emails between 2010 and 2019. The FBI says the compromised material was historical and contained no classified or government data, and that mitigation steps were taken. Checkpoint researcher Gil Messian says the operation fits a broader Iranian strategy to embarrass U S officials amid ongoing conflict with similar recent claims targeting Stryker and Lockheed Martin personnel. Reuters reports it was not able to verify the leaked emails, but the address matches one seen in prior breaches. Indonesia has started enforcing a nationwide ban on social media access for children under the age of 16, requiring platforms like YouTube, TikTok and Instagram to restrict accounts as part of efforts to protect roughly 70 million minors from from harmful content exploitation and addiction. The policy will roll out gradually, though officials acknowledge enforcement challenges. This follows similar moves in other countries, notably Australia. Google Fiber is rebranding as G Fiber after merging with US Telecom Astound Broadband, with majority ownership by investment firm Stone Peak. G Fiber says existing services won't change and emphasizes fast, reliable Internet. Back in December, it upgraded its optical network to 25 GPON. That stands for passive optical network, supporting speeds up to 20 gigabits per second, though current customer plans offer up to 8 gigabits per second for $150 per month. AI powered smart glasses are gaining traction in China, driven by subsidies and tech giants like Xiaomi and Alibaba, with users renting or buying them for tasks like navigation, translation, shopping and even cheating on exams. The devices still face limitations like shorter battery life, overheating and comfort issues, while raising concerns around misuse such as covert recording and academic dishonesty. A class action lawsuit has been filed by a group identifying as Jeffrey Epstein victims against both Google and the US Administration, alleging that Justice Department disclosures exposed their identities and that Google's search and AI features, including AI mode, continue to surface personal details, leading to harassment and safety threats. The suit argues Google's AI tools actively amplified the exposure rather than acting as neutral indexes and could test the limits of section 2. 30 protections. Google also rolled out its VO generative video model globally in Google Ads, letting advertisers morph up to three static images into 10 second video ads optimized for YouTube directly within the platform. This is designed to minimize the need for traditional video production and integrates with other AI features for customization. It may lower barriers for smaller advertisers and potentially shift more campaigns toward video, which typically outperforms static formats. Sony has temporarily halted orders for Most of its CFexpress and SD memory cards worldwide due to ongoing semiconductor shortages, with the halt affecting both dealers and consumers. For the foreseeable future, though, existing inventory is still available until stock runs out. South Korean memory chip giant SK Hynix announced its confidentially filed for a US IPO that could raise 10 to 14 billion dollars, targeting the second half of 2026 as it looks to boost its valuation closer to US semiconductor peers. The company is a key supplier of high bandwidth memory used in AI systems, but some analysts say its Korea listing has kept its stock trading at a discount. The move to raise more money by SK Hynix reflects growing needs tied to AI demand chip production and infrastructure One more AI story today. AI has pushed the game of chess towards near perfect play, increasing draw rates as players rely on shared engine analysis. But top grandmasters are adapting by deliberately choosing less optimal and unexpected moves to disrupt opponents and force human decision making. Elite players like Magnus Carlsen have also shifted towards faster formats and variants like freestyle chess to reduce AI driven preparation, while a new generation is proving that surprise and psychology can still create winning chances even in classical play.
