Australian airline Qantas disclosed a cyber attack after threat actors accessed a third party platform used by its call center, potentially compromising data tied to more than 6 million customers. The breach included names, contact details and frequent flyer numbers, but not financial data, and appears to share similarities with recent aviation attacks attributed to the scattered spider group. TikTok launched its e commerce platform TikTok Shop in Japan, where it currently has 33 million monthly users. Japanese brands and ad agencies are already onboarding, expanding TikTok's footprint in a market dominated by Rakuten and Amazon. Hyundai opened UX Studio Seoul, an interactive lab where the public can test and give feedback on future vehicle designs and technologies. Visitors can engage in driving simulations, adjust car interiors and explore Hyundai's mobility platforms with data collected to inform the development of Hyundai, Kia and Genesis models. It's the first permanent public research lab by a global automaker, with a similar site planned for Shanghai in 2026. Threads now offers direct messages for anyone 18 or over to message followers or mutual Instagram followers on Android, iOS and the web. End to end encryption not support it, but Meta says it will expand features based on user feedback. Threads also introduced a highlighter tool to showcase posts in discovery feeds, with a broader rollout planned, Apple is opening a 15,000 square foot apple Music Studio in Los Angeles later this summer to mark the service's 10 year anniversary. The Culver City neighborhood space includes a live performance stage, spatial audio mixing room, podcast booths and radio studios and will serve as a creative hub for artists and Apple Music Radio. Apple Music already has studios in New York, Tokyo and Paris. And finally today, DJI launched the Power 2000 a portable power station with a 2048 watt hour lithium ion phosphate battery and a 3000 watt inverter. Designed for both mobile and home backup use, it supports up to 10 expansion batteries for a total of 22,000 watt hours, offers fast drone charging using proprietary ports, and charges fully in about 75 minutes.
