For me personally, I was one of those people who, like many of us, weren't taught about finances. You know, my parents didn't know, but now this is the time where I can become somebody who creates generational wealth. Or I just sort of end up being in the same hamster wheel that we've been in for generations.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported in his Power on newsletter over the weekend that Apple is developing a smart doorbell camera with face ID to unlock doors when a recognized resident looks at it. This could potentially launch as early as late 2025, yet using a secure enclave chip to store and process biometric data, and may either integrate with HomeKit smart locks or partner with another smart lock company. Apple's also rumored to be further leaning into smart home technology with potential plans for new smart Cameras, a branded TV and other smart home displays rumored. MediaTek announced the Dimensity 8400 smartphone processor, a mid range chipset without little CPU cores, instead using eight Cortex A725 cores and offering performance and power reduction over the Dimensity 8300. The first phones with the Dimensity 8400 are set to launch before the end of the year, but no word on global availability. A new Financial Times report says that Meta may release an upgraded version of its Ray Ban smart glasses with integrated displays as early as the second half of 2025, in partnership with L? Elesor Luxottica. The new glasses could display notifications and assistant responses. Meta continues to push for lightweight AR devices to compete with smartphones. You might remember earlier this year the company also showcased an early prototype of its Orion AR glasses, the Financial Times sources say. Defense tech firms Palantir and Anduril are in talks with companies like SpaceX, OpenAI, Saronic and Scale Scale AI, with the goal to form a consortium to bid on Pentagon contracts with initial partnerships possible as early as January. This could compete with major defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and Boeing. Palantir and Andura recently announced collaboration between their AI and software platforms, emphasizing the need to keep the US at the forefront of artificial intelligence in defense. Analyst Ming Chi Kuo reports that Apple will use TSMC's advanced N3P node for upcoming M5 chips, with the CPU and GPU having separate designs in a more server like arrangement, but still on a single system on a chip. It also means the chip can run at full power longer before needing to be throttled down to prevent overheating. Kuo thinks Apple may use the M5 Pro chips to power Apple intelligence servers. Last week, a bipartisan group of US Senators sent an open letter to automakers, quote, criticizing them for opposing right to repair laws while also selling customer data to insurance companies. The letter asks the companies to do two things abandon their opposition to the laws and answer questions about how they're handling customer data. And finally, on Friday, OpenAI announced early evaluations of its O3 model for researchers who want to help safety test it. O3 mini will arrive at the end of January, with the full model following shortly after. Oh3 got 96.7% on the American Invitational Mathematics Examination compared to O1's 83.3% rating. It also scored better with humans on the ARC AGI, which is a benchmark test.
