all right but that's okay cuz no here is hello everybody. Welcome to a special edition of Teen Beat. A Danielle's Diary, if you will. Recently you may have seen some very big news for me that I'm super excited about that I am going to be hosting only my 400th podcast, the American Idol Official Official Podcast. I'm so excited about it. I have been watching every episode of American Idol. I have several favorites. It's going to be a very exciting opportunity. It starts the first episode you guys will be able to watch and listen to will be April 1st and I will be there for the first live show on March 30th, which is when I will be recording the podcast. I'm going to get to talk to the eliminated idols. I'm going to get to interview very special guests. I have a couple of the names of people I'll be able to talk to over the course of the season and I can't share those with you yet. But some very exciting former idols, current Idol production, just very exciting, interesting stories I'm hoping to hear and share with you all. Unlike my other podcasts, this one here, Teen Beat and POD Meets World. We do not record. We don't record video for those podcasts. But this one, the American Idol Official Podcast will be on video so you'll be able to watch it every Wednesday on Disney and Hulu. So that is fun and and makes it a change for me. And yeah, it's very similar. The schedule wise it's very similar to a Dancing with the Stars. Although Dancing with the Stars was on Tuesdays very long show days, their live tapings for American Idol are on Mondays and I will start glam with my Wonderful Glam team Lori Julie I will start Glam at my house at 10am I'll be in there in Glam for about two hours and then I will head to the American Idol studios where I will watch the dress rehearsal from 1 to 3 and then I will get to do some social posts and some BTS stuff from about 3 to 5 and then the live show starts at 5pm and I will be at the live show from 5 to 7 and then shortly after that I'll get to start my podcast interview. So I will then be there probably from 7pm to 9pm and then I'll be back on my way home. So that's my upcoming Crazy Monday schedule until May 13th. That's when the final episode of the American Idol official Podcast will air for this season. For this 2026 season. The theme this year for American Idol has been Idol University and watching Carrie and Luke and Lionel work with the contestants and already just seeing the amazing adv they get. It reminds me in so many ways of the experience of being on the dance on Dancing with the Stars. With the exception of the celebs that are there for Dancing with the Stars aren't hoping to go forward and have a career as a professional dancer. So the advice that the judges are able to give you doesn't have as dramatic of an impact on your life or your career as it does on American Idol. Like seeing these insanely talented performers come and audition and then getting really good advice and direction from three of the world's most successful artists, really, you can see it have an impact on who they are as people, on how maybe they go forward and, you know, pick songs to sing or their writing or their performance. It's been very interesting to watch. So as a fan of the show, this has so far been a great experience and I can't wait to for you all to hear and see the first episode. Other things going on in my life I am heading back out for the Dancing with the Stars Live tour. I'm so excited about that. I have four more dates that I get to perform at, so the 9th I'm in Houston, the 10th I'm in Dallas. The 11th I am in Kansas City and the 12th I am in Denver. And then I fly home very early in the morning on the 13th so that I'm able to get back for American Idol. So that's a little crazy. I'm also going to Vegas for WrestleMania for Pod Meets World. Will Writer and myself are going back out there to do some truly incredible interviews. We are interviewing some ladies in particular that I am stoked about. And I don't think I can tell you who they are now, but I will tell you, they are some of my all time favorite wrestlers. And the fact that we get to interview them, I'm like jumping out of my skin. You also just know how much I love Vegas. It's going to be a very quick trip. We're only there for two days. We're actually not going to WrestleMania. Unfortunately, our schedules are just too hectic to actually be able to stay for the show. So we are going to do some interviews and then we'll be coming home. Of course, your girl will find some time to have some fun at tables, because it did. If you don't, even if you don't play a little blackjack, are you even in Vegas? You know, that's how I look at it. In my personal life. Things have been great. Very, very busy. My oldest son, Adler, had jumped up a level in his little league baseball. He's now playing at a slightly higher age bracket. And last weekend we had three games in four days. He is not quite seven. He's gonna be seven in June. He had a Friday night game. So long week at school and then Friday night game. So actually he had Thursday night practice, Friday night game, Saturday morning game, and then Monday night game. I really like being at the Little League field. I do. We play baseball at a nice place. They have a great snack shack. Your girl loves snacks. Great snack shack. I love watching the kids play. The parents are all really nice. We get all like, I like being there. I was there too much. I was there just too often this past weekend, three games in four days. It's just too much just gonna say it. It's just, I don't. Nobody needs that. I was like, what is he, a Dodger? Is he a professional baseball player now? So, yeah, that, that's been busy. Both my kids are still in karate. My youngest, Keaton, also started baseball. So now, even on a slow weekend, Adler has a game on Saturday and Keaton has a game on Sunday. They both also so adorably have started dance. I don't know if you're picking up on this. We are not aggressively pushing our kids to be this busy. It's just not. We're not. My oldest loves everything and wants to do everything. He wants to experience everything and he loves to be busy. He loves, like at night, one of the, you know, when I put him down for bed, he wants to know, mom, what's tomorrow? And then he wants to walk through what is on his agenda for the day. And one of my favorite things about him is the fact that when I say, well, tomorrow is Wednesday and you have school on Wednesday and then you have a reading lesson, he's like, okay, and then what? I'm like, and then we'll eat dinner and we'll go to bed. He's like, okay, and then Thursday. I go, yep, Thursday. Then you'll go to school. He's like, and then what do I have after school? I'm like, you've got baseball practice. He's like, yes. Okay. And then Friday. And he just wants. Every day, he wants there to be something, and he looks forward to it. And he says yes every time. And I know he means it because he also never complains when we pick him up from school. And we're like, hey, you know, you've got baseball practice days, like, cool. Or, hey, you've got karate today. He's like, yeah. Like, he just loves life. He loves life. He likes making the most of it. He loves his friends. He loves walking around saying hi to everybody at the baseball field. He, like, knows people we don't even know. And he just, like, walks, you know, across the. Across the field and goes over and says hi to a family. And I just kind of wave at them like, oh, hello. I. I guess, you know my son. And yeah, he's just.
Sophia Bush
It's great.

And then, because he likes all that stuff, his younger brother, who thinks everything his older brother does is the greatest thing ever, he wants to do it so adorably. After I did Dancing with the Stars, both my kids started talking about the fact that they wanted to do dance, and I loved that for them. And I was like, do you want to do ballroom dancing? Like what you just saw in Dancing with Stars? And they were like, Adler was like, no, I want to do hip hop. I want to do hip hop. And I was like, okay, cool. We brought it up a couple of times. Did you. Did you still want to go to hip hop? And he was like, no. He kept saying no. So we were like, okay, great. No big deal. You don't need to. You've got a bunch of other things going on. And then one of his very good friends from baseball, we ran into him at a movie theater. We were seeing Goat, and they were talking, and this friend from baseball was like, yeah, on Friday nights, I take a hip hop dance class. And Adler was like, you do Where? And, you know, basically we talked with the parents, and they were like, yeah, he really likes it. It's this fun hip hop class on Friday nights. And, and it's great. And Adler was like, I want to do it. So we signed Adler up. He did one class, loved it, wanted to sign up. They have like a recital at the end of however many classes. So he's doing a recital. They're doing like a hip hop Harry Potter, which is so cute. And then since then, we actually haven't seen that friend back at the hip hop class. He just hasn't been there for the last couple of weeks. But it hasn't bothered Adler. Adler's just been like, no, I'm a part of this now and I love it. But the minute he started, Keaton then decided he also wanted to do a dance class. But of course they're never at the same time because they are of course different ages. So Adler has a dance Friday nights, Keaton has dance Saturday mornings. Adler has baseball Saturdays, somewhere from either morning to 3:15 in the afternoon, and then Keaton has baseball Sunday. So as if as a parent to small children, your weekends already didn't really belong to you enough once you throw in sports and all of that stuff. Good luck ever having a moment to yourself. Thankfully, my kids, now, at almost 7 and almost 5, Keaton will be 5 at the end of August, will let me take a 20 or 30 minute nap on the couch with them. Like they don't nap, they're not napping, but like if I go, let's put something on, do you want to watch a movie? And they're like, sure. And I put a movie on and then I can cuddle up next to them. I'm like, hey, bring me a blanket. They'll bring me a blanket. They'll cuddle up next to me and I'll fall asleep. And then after about 30 minutes, one of my kids will go, mom, mom, can you wake up now? And I'll go, yeah, yeah, I can. And then that's pretty great. That is pretty great because that can save a weekend when you've been that busy. Also, it's been so hot here in California. We had full blown summer weather. I'm talking 100 degrees where I live, which is apparently on the surface of the sun. And it's March and we were already experiencing 100 degree weather. It is now back into the reasonable 80s and we can, you know, tolerate that. I know most people are surprised to learn what OCD really is because pop culture has spread the idea that it's just about being super neat and organized. But that's not accurate at all My husband has OCD and I can tell you it is so much more than that. Real OCD is a serious condition where you get unwanted, distressing thoughts called intrusive thoughts. They're stuck on repeat in your mind, often focusing on people or things we care about like relationships, identity or character, making them hard to ignore. And then you feel driven to do certain behaviors called compulsions to try to make the anxiety stop. This obsession and undying desire to make it go away can completely derail you for decades. Jensen ruined his own life and the happiness of those around him purely because he couldn't make the repeated worry go away. But he'd eventually learn it doesn't have to be that way because OCD is one of the most treatable mental health conditions. Once you get the right kind of specialized therapy, OCD needs ERP therapy. That's exposure and response prevention, which has proven to be the most effective treatment. Regular talk therapy isn't recommended and can actually make OCD worse. NOCD is the world's leading OCD treatment provider and all of their licensed therapists specialize in ERP Therapy with NOCD is 100% virtual, covered by insurance for over 138 million Americans and includes support between sessions so you never have to face OCD alone. To learn more about starting OCD therapy with no CD, go to nocd.com and book a free call with their team. That's n o c d.com hey, it's

Anyway, lots of exciting things going on. Also we are doing Book Meets World which you may have heard if you follow the Pod Meets World account. We're very excited about that. We've been working on it. Writer Will and I are are so invested in in how this amazing book turns out and we we've been loving what we've seen so far and we're contributing pictures that nobody's ever seen before and stories. We also have some very some other very exciting news that I won't have to wait long to share with you, but I can't quite tell you yet, so I probably shouldn't have even said that. But. But the POD Meets World team has some very exciting news and you will be hearing about it probably within the next month. So yeah, lots of really exciting, wonderful things going on. I still have my hair care company, Be Free by Danielle Fishel. We are about ready to segue into some more body care. As you guys may know, I have a face wash that I love

and
Danielle Fishel
I mainly made that again, this entire company. Be Free by Daniel Fishel started because I wanted products that I felt good using that also worked and that didn't have what I consider to be iffy ingredients that are endocrine disruptors or cancer causing agents and stuff like that. So I couldn't find anything that was on the market that I liked. So I started this hair care company and one of the other things that I noticed when I was going through my own personal collection of things I was using on my body and getting rid of stuff was that the face wash I had been using for years and years and years was very bad for me and I was like, well, I need a new face wash. So I was like, I know I'm a, I started a hair care company but I need a face wash because I need something to use. So I started a face wash. So similarly, I have been looking for a couple of other body care items and I have decided to segue the company into doing some body care stuff as well. So we will be launching those on qvc which is my other my home away from home. For Be Free by Daniel Fishel. You can buy the hair care products on bfbydf.com or be freebydanielfishl.com and also qvc.com we have a lot of scents and special sizing that are on QVC that we don't necessarily carry on our website. And I, I always love doing qvc. I'm a QVC girl. I've been a QVC girl since I was a kid. My mom watched QVC when I was growing up. So I for me it's like the coolest thing in the world that I now have a company that can go on QVC and it's so much fun every time I go make a trip to Philly, get to be in studio. Of course I occasionally do appearances via Skype because it is hard for me to get all the way to Philly. Regularly, but it's great. I. I love it and I love that company that still keeps me pretty darn busy. And yeah, you've heard me talk about the kids and their schedule and it's been nuts. It's been nuts. And it doesn't show any signs of slowing down. I'm also going to be directing an episode of Vampirina for Disney Channel, which I'm excited about. So I'll be. I'll be going back there for at least a week. I wanted to be able to do two, but I don't think. I don't think I'm going to be able to do it because my schedule, I just don't have time to block off enough days to dedicate to a full directing week. So anyway, that's kind of a general update for you. I'm feeling really great. I have been working out up a storm. I've been taking care of myself. You've heard me probably on Pod Meats World talk about the fact that I have been eating very few things other than chicken, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, fruits, vegetables. I'm like making sure I'm prioritizing my fiber, making sure I'm prioritizing protein and veggies, which of course is fiber. So I'm taking really good care of myself. I am currently, like, pretty fit. I'm like, way more muscular than I usually am, which feels really good. I'm sleeping better. Although if you're anywhere near my age, you are experiencing any sort of perimenopause symptoms. I recently, and by recently I mean in the last like two weeks, have been waking up every night somewhere between midnight and 3am Just hot as can be. And we sleep with our room at like 66 degrees. It's not hot in the room. And actually when I go to sleep, I'm cold. I'm like in, you know, my pajamas, kind of curled up in a ball, like, oh, it's cold in here. And then somewhere between midnight and 3am, I wake up and I'm like, I'm not sweating, but I'm hot. And I'm like, oh my gosh, I'm hot. And then I feel like my heart is racing a little bit and it takes me quite a long time to fall back asleep and to get comfortable. And so that's really annoying. And I've pretty much narrowed it down to either being that I need to eat something, like either my blood sugar is dropping in the middle of the night or it's perimenopause or it's A little bit of both. So one of the things I think I'm gonna do to switch that up in case it is my blood sugar dropping in the middle of the night, try to eat something, maybe like half an avocado shortly before I go to bed, like, with my dinner, so that I have some kind of, like, high fat in my bedtime diet. And then if it's perimenopause, just I don't think there's really anything you can do. Being a woman is. Being a woman is hard. It is. It's just hard. So, anyway, thank you for listening to this Danielle's Diary update. If there are episode ideas and things you want to hear me talk about, talk more about, please send them to teenbeatpodmail.com or leave them in a message for us. Eenbeatpod on Instagram. Yeah, I would love to know what you guys want to hear more about. So thank you for listening to this episode of Danielle's Diary. Always wonderful to connect with you. Looking forward to the next one. Please make sure you tune in to the American American Idol official podcast. It starts Wednesdays, April 1, and then every Wednesday through May 13. That's in conjunction with when the live shows start. So make sure you also tune into American Idol every Monday starting March 30th for the live shows. It's gonna be so much fun, and I'm looking so forward to having those great conversations and bringing them to you via the podcast. Hopefully kind of of peeling back the curtain a little bit, too, of American Idol, showing you some fun BTS situations. As you guys know, I want to be Ryan Seacrest. For as long as I can remember, when I would go into meetings, I actually very specifically remember a time where I was, I was looking to hire an agent, and I met with William Morris Endeavor and caa, two of like, the biggest agencies in Hollywood. And. And I went in and I met with these. These different agents, and they were asking me, like, what is it you want with your career? What do you want to do? What are you looking for? And in both situations, I said, I would love to have a career like Ryan Seacrest's. I just think he's so busy. He's so diversified in the things that he does. He's got such a great personality. He's such a wonderful host. His career was just something I always looked up to and admired. And then recently when we did a really great deal with Iheart for podcasting, my one of my quotes was, you know, about me yelling up and down the hallways of the iheart offices. I'm the next Ryan Seacrest. And then here we are just a couple months later. I get to work with him on American Idol for the American Idol Official podcast, which I'm just thrilled about. He's a wonderful guy too, so I'm looking forward to working with him. Hopefully. He may just want nothing to do with me for all I know, but I love him so looking forward to following in his footsteps, taking as many notes as I possibly can. Wonderful talking to you. I will hope to see you all next time. Don't forget to tune in to American Idol and the American Idol Official podcast and make sure you have some subscribed to Teen Beat Pod on Instagram and to Pod meets world. Check out all the things we've got going on over there. All right, see you later.
