one here is Take me well, every week I usually play a listener's voice memo detailing an embarrassing story from their childhoods. But this week it's a little different. A fellow I heart podcast. Hey, Jonas is new to the network and you know those Jonas brothers. No one ever follows their projects and I feel a little bad for them. So I wanted to promote it a little bit bit so that people know it exists. I want to play a perfectly on brand embarrassing story that Joe Jonas recently shared. So this is a clip from a recent episode to remind us celebrities, they're just like us. Let's play the clip.
Popsicle Brand Announcer
Why'd you poop your pants?
Ryan Seacrest
In eighth grade, I was scared to
Joe Jonas
use the restroom because there was a lot of kids that would hang out in the bathrooms. And I was like, well, they're gonna know. No fly zone in school, everybody poops
Stassi Schroeder
was not a book we had growing up in our household.
Joe Jonas
I went to the nurse's office and I said I had a tummy ache. I call my mom, she calls me Joseph. Do you have to just poop? If I come down there and I bring you home and you poop at home and you could have stayed in school, I'm not going to be thrilled about this. I'm walking and I'm starting to feel like this might happen any moment. It's not going to be solid. As our mother is so kind stops to have a 30 minute conversation with this lady. I just can't hold it. It starts running down my leg and I can see the principal and my mom start like smelling a little bit and we start walking away and I just, I go on to decorate the halls of the school with me.
Stassi Schroeder
That is so sad.
Unidentified Casual Speaker
No.
Stassi Schroeder
Can I just say, I think that's a universal experience at my school. You did not go poop either. Like you just didn't like, because you didn't want to be made fun of, which is so crazy. Why are people making. It's like you'd be made fun of. It's just like snickering, right? I mean you were just like, it was just an embarrassing thing to go poop in the school bathroom. So like hard relate. But that never happened to me. That's so sad.
Chelsea Handler
I know. It's so sad. My husband also did not poop in public ever, anywhere until he was like 35 years old, maybe even.
Stassi Schroeder
Actually, I think it took me being pregnant because like this is a part of like who I was too. Like I, I was scarred. I thought it was an all girls Catholic school thing. No, because like even like Peeing in a public place. I just, like, don't. I don't like it. I feel uncomfortable. But it took me being pregnant where I was like, oh, if you have to go to the bathroom, you need to just. You. You need to do it.
Danielle Fishel
I know.
Stassi Schroeder
And, like, I got over my fear, and now I've just mastered it, you know, like, you just press the.
Fred Armisen
Yeah.
Stassi Schroeder
The flesh at the same time. And, like, you do. It's like a little musical dance with how to.
Chelsea Handler
The courtesy flush. The courtesy flush is the flush you do for everyone else at the same time when you're in a public place. We all know this. Also now they make those little poo pourri things so small. You could just stash the travel ones.
Yamaneika Saunders
Yeah.
Danielle Fishel
Put those in your bag.
Chelsea Handler
I mean, I really do understand how Joe feels, though, because I recently told a story on my other podcast, Pod Meets World, about being so constipated on. On our Pod Meets World Live tour that I had no choice but to take laxatives at a certain point. It was like, seven days of no going to the bathroom, and I had to take laxatives. And I told the story that then we were in our bus, and I was like, guys, we have to stop immediately so that I can go to the bathroom.
Stassi Schroeder
I'm not gonna go on a bus.
Chelsea Handler
Absolutely not. And I jumped off and used the restroom, and they were so excited for me. I came out of the Porta Potty, which was where I had to go, and I was thrilled, and they were thrill. And then the next day, this was an actual headline on Us Weekly. It was Danielle Fishel details having to pull over on the side of the road to poop after taking laxatives.
Stassi Schroeder
Oh, my God. Don't you hate when that happens? Where it's like, this is. Sometimes I'm like, this is why I don't talk anymore. Like, I don't tell stories because you take one line and you just, like, make it a thing, and then it's, like, tied to you for the rest of your life, and it's so embarrassing.
Chelsea Handler
Yeah. You know, sometimes that's the problem with having a podcast where you get comfortable talking. You forget people are listening.
Sam J.
Yes.
Chelsea Handler
And you just share stories the way you would in your friend's living room, because that's how it feels. And next thing you know, you're in US Magazine. Poop headline. But do you have anything that you can think of when you think of, like, my number one thing I regret sharing over the years, whether it's on Vanderpump or on your podcast.
Stassi Schroeder
There's a lot I would say. One that really is annoying is when I went on Call Her Daddy and I said GLP1s or like, Ozempics, like vitamins. Because I was like, I want to try it when I. I was just making a joke. I was pregnant at the time and I was like, this Ozempic craze, like, I want to try it when I'm. When I give birth.
Chelsea Handler
Yeah.
Stassi Schroeder
And I just, like, made a joke that I was just like, it's essentially vitamins, you know?
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Stassi Schroeder
And so then, like, there was like, all these headlines being like, stasi says Ozempic is vitamins. I'm like, oh, my gosh.
Chelsea Handler
Right out of context clips.
Stassi Schroeder
Yeah, yeah, it was. Yeah, like that. I also know I. This still happens to me every week again, because, like, I have a podcast. Like, you know, we just get so comfortable saying things. So every week I say something dumb or like, something I didn't clarify as well as I should have that I'm just like, just shut your mouth. Just like, just don't do this, you know, or like, leave this. Leave that alone. Like, don't talk about, like, Vanderpump Rules anymore. Don't talk about, like, any of, like, your ex cast members, even if you're not naming names. Because I won't even name names. I'll just, like, reference something without naming names. And then it just, like, gets picked up and I'm like, oh, I feel. I feel icky about that. Or like I shouldn't have said it like that. Or like I. The way that it's now being worded is just making it seem like it's something that it's not. So, like, I'm still. I still haven't learned my lesson. Yeah.
Chelsea Handler
You know, it. It is just hard in general, though, because like you said, you're not even doing. You're not naming names. You're sharing a story from your life, from your perspective, and then the fact that it gets written about. Really the feeling is, this isn't newsworthy.
Danielle Fishel
This isn't.
Chelsea Handler
This was a conversation. This clip that you were. Or this sentence that you're going to turn into a headline is not news.
Ryan Seacrest
But.
Chelsea Handler
But because they make it news now you feel like that person thinks I was over here making a dig at them when it was really just a offhanded comment in the middle of a conversation.
Stassi Schroeder
Correct. And do you feel like. I feel like this, the industry and the media, like, doing that, you know, doing those, like, clickbait headlines and stuff? Like that. And taking things out of context, it actually is affecting real relationships, like real friendships that they don't have to be deep friendships because if you have a deep friendship with someone, you talk it out. But like, I will have like these, you know, these friendships, you know what I mean? With people. But like, then these headlines happen and then it gets weird and then you're like, did this person say this about me? But then you're like, I think I'm just going to let it go because we're not close enough to really talk about it. And so then you're kind of pitted against each other in the media and when you weren't even enemies to begin with.
Yamaneika Saunders
Yeah.
Stassi Schroeder
Now you're at this weird place where it's just awkward and the media does that. The media loves to pit people against each other when like something we would never be.
Chelsea Handler
That would never be that way normally. I know, and it is hard too because like, my first thought is, you know, maybe just us over communicating with each other is the best approach to like when you see a headline and you go, oh, gosh, you know what? I don't know that person that well. But I do want them to know the way this is written makes it sound a lot more serious than it is. Maybe just reach out and be like, hey, this headline's insane. If you want to hear the whole, if you want to hear the episode, here's a link to it so that you can see it was an. It's a non issue. But like, imagine you having to now spend all of your time reaching out. Who doesn't?
Stassi Schroeder
I barely have the time to respond to my best friends. You know what I mean?
Chelsea Handler
Exactly.
Stassi Schroeder
I'm terrible with the, the phone like that and I know, I just. It is what it is.

Chelsea Handler
Well, speaking of your podcast, one of the reasons I am very excited for House of Stasi is the emergence of Taylor Strecker.
Stassi Schroeder
Yes.
Chelsea Handler
Your co host and longtime friend. She is finally getting her TV close up. For those who don't know Taylor, will you please tell them all this little gem of a human.
Stassi Schroeder
She is probably one of the greatest people. If you get to meet her, you're like, wow, this is one of the greatest people I've ever met. She is so kind, so genuine, but so funny.
Chelsea Handler
Yeah.
Stassi Schroeder
And spicy and smart and interesting. And she is the OG radio host. Like, she. She's a podcaster now, but she had a show on Sirius XM for forever, so doing live radio for three hours straight every single morning. And she is just truly. I can't wait for the world to see how special she is because she has been working at her career for so long, and no one deserves this more than her.
Chelsea Handler
Yeah.
Stassi Schroeder
I'm proud that she's my best friend.
Chelsea Handler
Oh, it's so cute. It was so good to see her at the Hulu event.
Stassi Schroeder
Wait, I was watching you guys, and I'm like, is Taylor making official do her recorder tiktoks? Like, I'll do that for her. I'm like, why is she making Topanga do this? I'm like, why is she doing, like, this is so.
Yamaneika Saunders
So.
Stassi Schroeder
I'm, like, staring the whole time. Like, she could have asked any one of us to just record her. And I didn't realize that you guys, like, had had a thing.
Unidentified Casual Speaker
Yes.
Stassi Schroeder
Oh, my God.
Chelsea Handler
That's hilarious. First of all, it was me asking Taylor to do a TikTok with me, and so we were really. It was my TikTok.
Grainger Announcer
And then.
Chelsea Handler
That's so funny that you thought you were like that. She just grabbed me out of the Was like, can you record me doing this?
Stassi Schroeder
You record me?
Ryan Seacrest
Yes.
Chelsea Handler
Oh my God, I love her so much. We go all the way back to her radio show days on Sirius xm, which is amazing. And she. All the things you mentioned. So we know some qualities that help you know what to, to how to pick a best friend. But what gives you the ick when you meet someone new? If someone wants to enter the house of Stasi, what should they avoid?
Stassi Schroeder
Okay, so I'm a very low maintenance friend.
Danielle Fishel
Okay.
Stassi Schroeder
I don't expect to, like, I don't. I'm not needy. I don't. I'm not like one of those people that's like, needs to be in constant communication. It's like, I like to go a month, however long. And like, when we do talk to each other or hang out, we pick up right where we left off.
Danielle Fishel
Same.
Stassi Schroeder
It's not awkward being like, I wish we did this more. Why did it take so long? Like, let's not spend the time we finally are together making it weird. Like, let's just like pick up right where we left off. So when I sense that someone is a needy friend, I'm like, you could be the greatest person in the world. It's just not going to work for my life. Like, I'm at a point in my life where like, what I focus the most on is like my family and work.
Danielle Fishel
Yep.
Stassi Schroeder
Social life is like down.
Chelsea Handler
I feel this in my soul.
Stassi Schroeder
Yes. So if you're going to be a needy friend and you require like constant attention, validation, hanging out, texting, you're never going to get that from me. So if I sense that it's never going to happen.
Chelsea Handler
I love that. And you know what? I love the way you framed that, like. Cause I feel so guilty for that. I have so many wonderful people in my life and they regularly will text and say, let's get lunch. And I think, when, when are you talking about getting lunch? Oh, when, when would we do that? And so I, I then end up finding. Yes.
Danielle Fishel
So I used to.
Stassi Schroeder
I know, I understand. I had to. It took me a while to get over the guilt. I felt the guilt for a long time because I'm like, what's wrong with me? Something must be wrong with me. That, like, am I just like a shitty friend? And it's like, no, we all operate differently. And when you become a mom, your time is you. Now, when you used to have a hundred percent of your life, now you have 30.
Unidentified Casual Speaker
Yes.
Stassi Schroeder
It's like, now you have 30. And so if you're afforded like the time one day a week to get lunch with Someone. You gotta, like, choose wisely. Like, you gotta really think about who it is you want to, like, spend that extra time.
Danielle Fishel
Yes.
Stassi Schroeder
You know, it's kind of hard. And so.
Chelsea Handler
Yeah, I mean, you said it much nicer than I did. But what I used to say. And it was like, but it's a joke. But it isn't a joke. I used to say, I love having friends. I just don't need to see them.
Stassi Schroeder
Yeah, that's. Yes, of course. Yes. And we all, like, need friends.
Chelsea Handler
Yeah, I love. I love friends. I'm. I'm thrilled that I have friends. I don't need to see you or talk to you very often, but. But I love. I love you. And I would be there for you if you. If there was ever something. If you need something or there is, like, I ha. I am having a very something. I'm struggling with something. I need to talk to you. I will make the time. But if it's just the, like, shooting the shit. I don't have the time to shoot shit.
Stassi Schroeder
Yes.
Chelsea Handler
Don't have it. Okay. A big spotlight for you. Recently, you walked in the 2026 Sports Illustrated swimsuit Runway show. This is wild. Tell me all about it. And did you say yes the second you were asked?
Stassi Schroeder
Well, this is my second year. Did it. Doing it. I did it last year. And I was really nervous the first year. Like, I cried the whole day leading up to it. Cause I was just like, what are you doing?
Chelsea Handler
You know what I mean?
Stassi Schroeder
Like, you've never. You don't do this. This is not like, my brand to just be, like, out in a bikini. It's just like, not.
Popsicle Brand Announcer
No.
Chelsea Handler
Not since the Halloween. Not since the Halloween audition.
Stassi Schroeder
Not since pre Vanderpumper.
Grainger Announcer
Yeah.
Stassi Schroeder
Not since the Halloween costumes. And so it felt like, wow, I'm, like, really just being incredibly vulnerable. And it ended up being such a fun experience because I'm not joking when I say this. The team at Sports Illustrated and the girls that they choose to do this are all so supportive.
Chelsea Handler
Oh, I love it.
Stassi Schroeder
They're like, hype women. So the energy there. There's not one person that's giving you a side eye that you feel like someone might be talking about you. It is all incredibly like. It's just everyone. It wants to, like, lift each other up and build each other up. And so that made it, like, a really enjoyable experience. So then when I was asked to do it again, I was like, okay, wait, you had a great experience the first time.
Danielle Fishel
What?
Stassi Schroeder
But if you do it again, you could just like, fail. Like, do you want to, like, ruin the, like, first experience? And this time I feel like I just, like, should have done a better job.
Chelsea Handler
You judge yourself so harshly.
Danielle Fishel
I did.
Stassi Schroeder
This is what I know better than to do this. So it was the same experience with, like, all the girls being so lovely, the team being so awesome. I knew better than to go and check social media right after. And I did that. And I just, like, saw all these comments being like, her body looks like SpongeBob SquarePants.
Chelsea Handler
Oh, no.
Stassi Schroeder
She has a badass and, like, a rectangle shape. And I'm like, they're not wrong. Like, I am shaped like a rectangle. Like, that is my body type. And so I just got in my head and let it, like, kind of sour. Yeah, a little bit. And so I. If I get asked to do it again, I am going to remind myself there is no checking the phone afterwards. You are just there to do this incredibly awesome thing at 38.
Grainger Announcer
Yes.
Stassi Schroeder
After you had two kids, you know, like that. And just, like, really enjoy it for what it is because it is, like, such an incredible experience, and it is, like, such an honor. And, like, the people are so nice and the team is so nice that, like, you want to, like, do a good job for them.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Chelsea Handler
You know, well, the fact that people left you nasty comments does not in any way mean that you did anything other than a stellar job and look incredible. So don't allow the fact that there was someone sitting on their couch in probably their spongebob onesie talking about you and what you did. So what is the biggest lesson you take away from an experience like that?
Stassi Schroeder
Oh, my gosh.
Chelsea Handler
Other than don't check the Internet immediately
Stassi Schroeder
after don't check the Internet. I think the lesson is kind of just like, w. Like, if you want to, you really can do anything.
Danielle Fishel
Yeah.
Stassi Schroeder
And I've always, like, said, like, you know, yes. Like, people say, like, if you see her, you can be here. But, like, I like to think, like, farther than that. Like, you can do anything even if you haven't seen someone do it. Like, because there. There's always a first. There's always somebody who's a first who had the crazy idea to do something. And everyone was looking around, like, that's impossible. No one's been able to do that before. Well, there's. There's always someone to be the first. So, like, I just feel like there's no dream that's, like, too crazy.
Fred Armisen
Yeah.
Stassi Schroeder
So, like, put it on your vision board and you'll be able to make it happen. If you really, really believe in yourself and just, like, don't take no for an answer. I'm really good at, like, not accepting no. I love that.
Chelsea Handler
I love that. Just find another way. That door may close but that it's amazed. Go another route, Go and go another route. There's always a way out. Well, Stassi, I am so happy that we had this time together. And everybody please make sure you out. House of Stassi on Hulu and Hulu on Disney. So, Stassi, let's get together and eat some ranch one day.
Fred Armisen
Yeah.
Stassi Schroeder
So when Taylor Strecker comes to town.
Chelsea Handler
Yes. I need to meet her baby.
Stassi Schroeder
Yes. Oh, my God. She's so freaking cute. Oh, my God.
Chelsea Handler
And an easy baby.
Stassi Schroeder
They got blessed with an easy baby, which means they're probably gonna have another one.
Chelsea Handler
Oh, exactly. If you, if you have an easy one the first time, your second one, guaranteed to be a terror.
Stassi Schroeder
Yeah.
