Foreign the following podcast is a Dear Media Production. It's almost that time of year where kids are heading off to college. And if you've been following along from the very start of my influencer journey, y' all probably remember me making videos in my dorm room. That time in my life will forever hold a special place in my heart. But you know what won't be the stress of making sure I had everything I needed to go away to college. I mean, seriously, talk about chaotic and expensive. Off to college season. Save on college. Saved every day because Amazon is changing the game. What I would have given, and I'm sure what my parents would have given to have Amazon back when I was in school needed supplies for a sorority function. Amazon need last minute supplies for class but don't have a car on campus. Amazon want cute dorm or apartment decor and furniture without breaking your college student budget. Amazon. The one thing I never thought to bring to college was a steamer. And if I had Amazon back then, I could have gotten it delivered for a great price instead of having to wait for the next time I went home or to my parents came in town. Plus, imagine all the non perishable snacks you get in. I used to have to beg the upperclassmen to take me to the store to stock up on snacks for the days I couldn't fathom eating another dining hall meal. Now those days are over. So if you or your kid is prepping for this office college season, save on college. Save the everyday. With Amazon. Fast delivery, endless options, and honestly, way cheaper than dragging your mom through 15 stores. So make your life easier. Shop Amazon for college. So remember, with Amazon's low off to college prices, just save on college. Save the everyday. Hello and welcome back to your favorite podcast, D Influence. You know, I'm a little offended today.
Danny Austin
I can tell you're offended. I can't figure out why though.
Dani Austin
Me? No.
Danny Austin
Oh, that's what I was talking about.
Dani Austin
No, you've done nothing wrong. I found out that you're gonna try to make chicken and dumplings this weekend at the, at the lake. And I thought, man, I'm such a lucky woman because, sorry, woman, I can literally can't say it right. I just said women for one man. Anyway, yeah, that, that I have a man that's gonna make me chicken and dumplings.
Danny Austin
That's not what you said. Downstairs though, you go, that should be interesting. Which I thought was very condescending. I. I called you out on it. I said don't be negative.
Dani Austin
I wasn't being negative. I said this should be interesting, and it should be, but I'm. I am thankful and I'm really hopeful.
Danny Austin
You know, you also told me you said you should go watch my highlight. Like, you made my chicken and dumplings about you.
Dani Austin
No, I'm just saying I made chicken and dumplings about six months ago, and if you need help, I have a highlight saved.
Danny Austin
I might. I might watch it.
Dani Austin
It's not. It's not an easy task. Yeah, you might be a little in over your dumpling.
Danny Austin
Well, what I. What I did was I. I googled best slow cooker recipe, and chicken and dumplings is at the top.
Dani Austin
Yeah. See, the only thing is, is, like, at the lake house, like, we have to, like, be e there. So we just have to. We'll just, you know, we'll have to be there. We can't be, like, out of the pool or something.
Danny Austin
Yeah, but I thought. No, you kind of, like, set it up, and it. It runs for, like, five hours.
Dani Austin
Yeah, but, you know, like, in. No. And then, like, you know, two hours later, you got to add something, got to do something stir, maybe flip, like. Yeah.
Danny Austin
So I'm just trying to stay busy over here.
Dani Austin
No, I'm. I'm so proud of you. It's going to be great.
Danny Austin
I've also really been crushing the ninja creamy. You've never, to this day, tried One of my McFlurries that I've made in the ninja cream.
Dani Austin
I know. You know, I'm just really not. I'm not really a healthy ice cream gal. Like, if I'm craving.
Danny Austin
But you haven't even tried. You don't understand.
Dani Austin
I know.
Danny Austin
It's like a healthy McFlurry.
Dani Austin
I don't want to like it.
Danny Austin
I can tell.
Dani Austin
I also don't like the fact that it's chocolate based. I don't like chocolate. Wait, ice cream.
Danny Austin
I'm bringing vanilla mix this time.
Dani Austin
Okay, then I'm more. It's. I'm more likely to try it. I'm also not like a Reese's in my ice cream fan. Like, peanut butter should not be my.
Danny Austin
You know what I got for you? Oreos.
Dani Austin
I do like, an Oreo or two.
Danny Austin
So I feel like this is the weekend that you're going to try it.
Dani Austin
Yeah, maybe, but it's just also, like, one of those things. It's like, if I want ice cream, like, I want, you know, blue Bell. Like, I'm not. I'm not trying to be healthy while I eat ice cream.
Danny Austin
Do you know, I think you should just give it a shot.
Dani Austin
If I Want to be healthy. I just won't eat ice cream.
Danny Austin
It feels like you're being really stubborn in this. I feel like you should just try it.
Dani Austin
Okay.
Danny Austin
Just try it.
Dani Austin
I'll try it. Let's try it. I'll see how it goes.
Danny Austin
I'm also gonna grill.
Dani Austin
Wow. Okay. And then I'm also for all these activities.
Danny Austin
No, I have a. I, I made myself a meal schedule.
Dani Austin
Wow.
Danny Austin
For the family.
Dani Austin
This is, this is why I married him. Because he plans out the timing of cooking, the schedules. I mean, cooking schedule. Yeah, that. That is something I've never done in my life. It's like plan to schedule for eating or cooking.
Danny Austin
Yeah. No, it's so fun. You just make everything. It's so fun.
Dani Austin
Okay.
Danny Austin
Do you not like cooking?
Dani Austin
No, I just don't like scheduling.
Danny Austin
Well, but, but, but if you don't schedule it, how you, how do you know what you're going to cook? And then how do you have the grocery store trip beforehand?
Dani Austin
Two words. DoorDash.
Danny Austin
Got it. I don't think they deliver out there.
Dani Austin
I know, I know. That's why it is. Yeah. It is a little bit more of a feat to go out to the lake house because it's like I. I personally would rather starve.
Danny Austin
We're about three weeks away from me catching a fish, filleting it and serving it for lunch. We're pretty close. The only problem is I truly have not caught a fish in a month and a half.
Dani Austin
I just can't imagine that those waters are healthy. Like.
Danny Austin
Well, yeah, you don't eat catfish.
Dani Austin
Okay. Why?
Danny Austin
There's trout in there. Trout you can.
Dani Austin
What about a rainbow trout?
Danny Austin
I don't think they have rainbow trout. But I actually, don't ask me these questions because I don't know the difference.
Dani Austin
I knew you wouldn't know.
Danny Austin
I have no idea.
Dani Austin
So I was asking, what's the difference between a trout and a fish?
Danny Austin
A trout is a fish.
Dani Austin
Well, I like just a normal fish and a trout.
Danny Austin
Well, you got bass, you got catfish, you got trout.
Dani Austin
What's the difference between a bass and a trout?
Danny Austin
They look different.
Dani Austin
There you go.
Danny Austin
I don't think people really eat bass either. Right.
Dani Austin
They don't.
Danny Austin
True. Right.
Dani Austin
It's true.
Danny Austin
You. You eat sea bass, but not. You don't eat bass. Like, you don't a very like sportsman fish. You catch and release.
Dani Austin
I see, I see.
Danny Austin
But like I said, I have not caught a fish in about a month and a half. So I'm trying to figure that one out with chat gbt, but it's not.
Dani Austin
What's your bait? Your problem? Bait's your problem.
Danny Austin
The. The bait is the problem. So your dad comes out to the lake and he just gets live bait. So he just stops at the gas station and gets minnows, which is basically like fishing with dynamite. It's. It's too easy. It's a cheat code. I'm trying to be a real fisherman. A real fisherman, which means I use lures, and people say, listen, all these guys at the lake are trying to mentor me. And they. They keep sending me in different directions because one's like, you got to have a chatterbait, and then the other one's like, thunder cricket. And I'm like, hey, I'm not catching anything on this. And they keep saying, but when you do, it'll change your life. And so far, I've given this about a month and a half, and I'm pretty close to just going back to the plastic worms, which are all faithful, in my opinion. But I think it's a lot like golf, where you can over engineer it as much as you want. Like, you can spend all this time. I need this club. I need this gadget. I need this. And like, at the end of the day, like, just get out there and play golf. Like, I think just get out there and fish and fish with a rubber worm, and you're probably fine.
Dani Austin
Okay.
Danny Austin
But it's. It's quite embarrassing. I mean, I've changed my reel, I've changed my rod. I've. I've changed my locations. I've changed my timing. I. I just. I prayed about it. And I said, God, grant me the ability to be a fisherman. And he said, no. And so I'm. I'm trying to figure out the lesson in all this.
Dani Austin
He said, you will not fish fish. You will fish men.
Danny Austin
No, he didn't say that. But maybe he's trying.
Dani Austin
Maybe that's right. It is.
Danny Austin
Maybe he's trying. And so, yeah, maybe this weekend. And I also don't have a lot of time because the kids only, like when I fish for, like, five minutes, and then they say, we're bored. Can we leave?
Dani Austin
True. Can we do the water slide?
Danny Austin
So I'm probably gonna have to put you to bed. Put everyone to bed, then head out. Be just me and God and the fish.
Dani Austin
Just you and the fish.
Danny Austin
Praying for a solution.
Dani Austin
Well, good luck with that this weekend. Sounds like you have a busy schedule.
Danny Austin
I have a really busy schedule.
Dani Austin
We never got to talk about why.
Danny Austin
I was offended about the chicken and dumplings.
Dani Austin
No, I Didn't. Oh, I wasn't offended about the chicken and dumplings.
Danny Austin
So you were offended about something else coming into the chicken dumplings call?
Dani Austin
No, no. Into the podcast.
Danny Austin
Yes. Why were you offended?
Dani Austin
I was offended because we didn't make dumplings time. 100 magazines top podcasts.
Danny Austin
That makes sense.
Dani Austin
I know. It adds up.
Danny Austin
Heads up.
Dani Austin
It is crazy, though, how many podcasters top podcasters like, like, in the world are not on those lists. Like, it's just so silly. Joe Rogan's not even on this list.
Danny Austin
Oh, that's bull crap.
Dani Austin
He's literally number one every single week.
Danny Austin
He's number one by far.
Dani Austin
Is always, like, number three to five, and he's not on the list.
Danny Austin
Wait, who's on this? Who's on this list?
Dani Austin
Honestly? Armchair expert.
Danny Austin
Okay. You like them? Is that Dak D?
Dani Austin
Yes. Let's see. Call her Daddy.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Dani Austin
Let'S see.
Danny Austin
Mel Robbins.
Dani Austin
I don't see Mel Robbins Cereal.
Danny Austin
Cereal. The. The original cereal. Or do they have a new season?
Dani Austin
Radio Lab. Let's see. Planet Money.
Danny Austin
These are like OGs, though.
Dani Austin
Let's see. Making Oprah.
Danny Austin
Where's Oprah at these days? She's just. She in Hawaii still.
Dani Austin
I think she's got houses all over.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Dani Austin
Good. Hang with Amy Poehler. I love that podcast. Amy Pohler is funny. Yeah. I mean, it just. It's. It's really. Oh, Dirty John. That made one.
Danny Austin
Wait, is this, like, of all time?
Dani Austin
Yeah, but still, Conan o' Brien needs a friend. Call her daddy. Bodega boys.
Danny Austin
I mean, the Joe Rogan thing is clearly political because 100. That makes no sense. Like, he's so far ahead of the game.
Dani Austin
So far ahead of the game. Oh, it looks like New Heights, maybe with Travis Kelsey and what does. What's the other one?
Danny Austin
Do people listen to that, though, or do they just watch the clips?
Dani Austin
I guess people listen to it, huh? Yeah, that. Oh, Tucker calls in all. I mean, honestly, I wouldn't expect him, but he's always in the top 10 these days, and he didn't make it.
Danny Austin
Who. What celebrity do you wish had a podcast?
Dani Austin
Taylor Swift. She would have such interesting. Like. Oh, I would just. I would love to know what she's thinking each week. Let's see. What about you?
Danny Austin
I can't think of anyone that I am. Like, I wish that I knew their thoughts regularly.
Dani Austin
Shia LaBeouf.
Danny Austin
That doesn't. Yeah, he'd probably be interesting. Yeah, because he's got a lot of thoughts. Like, it seems like on a wide spectrum of emotions. Like, he's sometimes Very angry sometimes.
Dani Austin
Very creative sometimes.
Danny Austin
Very creative sometimes.
Dani Austin
Been through a lot.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Dani Austin
Yeah, he would be good.
Danny Austin
I would maybe like Adam Sandler, like just hanging out with his friends. Totally be so funny.
Dani Austin
He would be just. But, you know, I don't know. You know, he actually reminds he. I would think of Adam Sandler as a funny guy on tv and he can do some. Some comedy, but I don't think he's like, funny off screen.
Danny Austin
Yeah, I.
Dani Austin
No, I wouldn't think so. Like, a lot of comedians are just like, good. They're good performers, but they're not actually funny when you hang out with them. Yeah, you gotta watch that. You know the show I always talk about is getting coffee in cars with comedians or whatever.
Danny Austin
Yeah. With Jerry Seinfeld.
Dani Austin
With Jerry Seinfeld. And you get to see these comedians and they're not funny. But you know who would be funny? Oh, you know my favorite little guy, Kevin Hart. Oh, my gosh. I think, man. Him and Will Ferrell. I would love for them to have a podcast and just talk about random stuff.
Danny Austin
You could have Kevin Hart and who's the other little person that you're weary of?
Dani Austin
The one that scared me.
Danny Austin
Sabrina. Sabrina Carpenter.
Dani Austin
Sabrina Carpenter. No, I don't want to hear her thoughts over really on anything at all. It would just anger me. I think Gracie Abrams would be interesting.
Danny Austin
She seems like she's daughter to my favorite director. I've told you this.
Dani Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
Jj, creator of Lost.
Dani Austin
Yep, yep.
Danny Austin
What shows are you watching these days?
Dani Austin
Amy Bradley is missing. That's a good one. Her last night. Yeah, she went missing from this like, cruise ship. Did they know what. What line? Yeah, it was Royal Caribbean. Royal Caribbean. And they still like her parents like 27 years later are still looking for her. It's just crazy, you guys. I'm so excited to tell you about this next brand. Guys, I'm so excited about this ad. Y' all know, throughout my entire pregnancy with Summit, I could not stop raving about my ritual prenatal vitamins. Seriously, my family and friends were probably like, whoa, this girl's really passionate and about these vitamins. And I am because they're the best prenatal vitamins I've taken. Especially during the first trimester with when the nausea was absolutely debilitating for me, the thought of taking my prenatal vitamins was a challenge, but ritual completely changed that for me. I mean, there's always so much for expecting moms to think about while they're pregnant. The very last thing we should worry about is our nutrient support and if it's pregnancy safe. This is just one of the reasons I love Ritual. Ritual offers tailored nutrient support for key phases of pregnancy, from fertility support formula to support conception outcomes to their essential prenatal and postnatal multis to support key nutrient needs before, during and after pregnancy. Ritual has something for every mom. Their supplements are built with key nutrient levels to support a healthy pregnancy with essential prenatals, vegan, bioavailable and clinically studied key nutrients. This includes methylated folate and Nature identical choline to support baby's neural tube development, omega 3 DHA for their brain and early vision development support from mom to baby and vitamin D to support fetal bone health. What I love the most about ritual is each capsule features a delayed release design to help make it gentle on an empty stomach. If you've been pregnant before, you know how just important this is. Plus, every bottle includes a Citrus Essence tab so you can enjoy taking your multis. When it comes to pregnancy support, you want products backed by research and transparency. Mom founded Ritual, puts in the work and shows you the proof. Get 25 off your first month for a limited time@ritual.com, that's ritual.ded influence for 25 off your first month.

Okay, so you all know I'm not out here blindly following every health trend. I'm all about the facts over here. I've been on my health journey for over a year and I know that following health and fitness ads isn't going to get you the results you want. This is why I'm so excited to tell y' all about function Health Function Health is honestly one of the most comprehensive health platforms I've ever seen. You get access to over 160 biomarkers. We're talking hormones, inflammation, toxins, heart health, stress, even vitamin levels. And it gives you the real insights based on your results. I'm not guessing if I'm low in vitamin D or what's messing with my energy. I know. And y', all, that's empowering. Here's the kicker. If you tried to do this on your own, it could run you over $10,000 with function. It's just $499 a year, and that's like one $1.37 a day. For actual data on what's going on inside your body, you can go to over 2,000 lab locations across the U.S. it's fast, it's secure, and your results are tracked over time on the function platform. And what I love. No pressure. They're not trying to sell you supplements or sketchy miracle cures. Just facts, no fluff. I'm telling you, if you are not feeling good, aging well, or just want to know what's actually happening in your body, function is it even? I was surprised by some of my results. But that's a story for another episode. So here's the deal. Dani Austin
But there's, like, kind of like a lot of conspiracy theories about where she ended up. That was. That's a really good documentary. Let's see the semi turn pretty. Oh, my gosh. I'm just waiting for the Conrad reunion.
Danny Austin
I was like, yeah, I was just.
Dani Austin
I've always kind of been teased.
Danny Austin
It's on.
Dani Austin
I was just about to say, are you team Conrad or team Jeremiah? And I was. We. I actually. We would get enough fight, I think, if you told me, Jeremiah, I can't stand. No, I'm not Jeremiah. Thank God Conrad. Thank God Conrad always had, like, the more depth. Like, he's like, so much. He's like my Edward Cole colon. Like, I was never like a Jacob. Like, yeah, Jay came in. He was hot stuff. Like, yeah, I get the appeal, but I was always like, Edward, Jeremiah. I can't. I have too many thoughts.
Danny Austin
Is Jeremiah the guy we met?
Dani Austin
Yeah. Gavin. Yeah. Sweet guy. Oh, really sweet guy. Like, in person, so. Oh, my gosh. Such a great guy. He's from, I think, the Dallas area. Yeah. He goes.
Danny Austin
Strong. Christian.
Dani Austin
Yeah. Strong believer. Such a solid dude. But. But, yeah, I've always. The character. Conrad's character. I mean, come on. He's, like, in med school. He's smart, he's driven. And then you got Jeremiah, who can't even, like, pass a great.
Danny Austin
Like, this must be, like, senior. This doesn't seem like a show that husbands watch with their wives.
Dani Austin
No, because honestly, it's too. In the acting. I think that everyone has gotten better with the acting and the production has gotten a little bit better. Jeremiah, like, I love you, but it's so bad. You gotta step it up a little bit. No, he's so sweet, though. I love him. I love him, but. Yeah, so that. I don't know when, like, the next. I'm. I'm waiting for episode three. Oh, episode three's out. Oh, good. Episode three. It comes out on Wednesday. Okay.
Danny Austin
What. What. What network is this? Or what Streaming service?
Dani Austin
Probably Hulu, if I'd guess. No, it's Amazon Prime. Oh, yeah. I just make my rounds when I get on. On the tv, I just go, hulu, Amazon Prime. Like, what's out? You know, I will say I've noticed, though, because I watched. Have you watched We Were Liars or We Are Liars or whatever it is. I tried. I can't get into that. The acting's so bad. That's why I. I have a hard time with shows that have bad acting. This is why it's. This is why it's crazy that I've made it through the summer. I turned pretty because the acting was so bad that, like, I. I was like, I'm sorry, I can't. Like, I never could do. I was never, like, a Pretty Little Liars girl. Like, I couldn't get into those, like, really cheesy whatever shows because it just. I mean, it's cringe. No, it's so bad. It's so cringe. But the summer I turned pretty, like, I could. I let. My line. Yeah, I let myself go there. So, yeah, I did. Summer return pretty. I've been listening to, you know, my usuals, a lot of the Avon. He had Sam Altman on the podcast yesterday.
Danny Austin
I thought we could listen to that on the way to the lake. Is it not funny, though?
Dani Austin
No, it's not funny at all. And honestly, Theo Von just asked, like, the same question. He's like, man, so I don't understand, like, is AI gonna take over the world. Like, he just comes from this, like, place of fear the whole time, where you're just like, okay. Like, yeah, but I mean, the craziest thing about. So, Sam Altman is one of the founders of OpenAI. He's like, a bazillionaire, and in, you know, he. If anyone would know or have an idea of where Chachi BT/AI is taking us, it would be this man. He has no idea. Or that's how he makes it sound on the podcast. Like, he's like. Theo's like, so our job is going to be, like, eradicated because of a. And he's like, yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah, that's gonna happen. And then. And Theo's like, that's so scary, man. So, like, what should we be doing? He's like, well, I don't know. Nobody can tell the future. You know, like, we're just. You know, it just is what it is. And, like, every generation, you know, it's true that every generation, some big form of technology comes out that everybody thinks is the devil. Like Google. When Google came out, all the teachers are like, oh, my gosh, my children in class are going to learn anything, because now they can just Google everything and they can just find all this information on the Internet without learning through books. Like, we all thought it was like the Antichrist. And then the next thing that comes out, you know, the iPhone and then this and then that. I will say this one does feel a little different because I don't think that any innovation or technology has ever been able to, like, replicate a human and, like, the creativity of a human like this before. So is now it's, like, not just coming for, like, the technical jobs, it's coming for, like, the creative jobs, too, which is very scary. But I'm kind of like. I feel like I am kind of on the opposite side, where I'm like, everybody just, like, get it together and adapt. Like, okay, like, it's coming whether you like it or not. And so just download it, use it. And honestly, you better teach your kids how to use it, because otherwise they're going to go out to the world and they're not going to know how.
Danny Austin
To get a job, because it's probably gonna happen.
Dani Austin
All of their people are going to be like, like, using AI to, you know, build these websites and build all these really cool platforms and build scripts or build whatever, and your kid's gonna be like, I have to go to the encyclopedia to look up a word, and it's gonna be like, sorry, takes too long. You're fired.
Danny Austin
Get out. Nerd.
Dani Austin
Yeah, like, we don't do books around here anymore.
Danny Austin
You know what I think merging is going to look like, though? It's a little knurling thing. You're gonna have, like, you're gonna have, like, the trans human.
Dani Austin
So, Sam, actually. Because one of Theo's first question was like, Sam, like, because apparently there's been a lot of talk about, like, one day pregnancy or, you know, like, actually growing babies will be outside the womb. Like, it'll now be like. Because technically it. It adds up. Like, they could probably do that, you know, give all the nutrients and everything and just grow it basically in one of those little glass tubes. And, like, you could go to the hospital and visit your little, you know, whatever. What do you call it? Fetus.
Danny Austin
Yeah, yeah, fetus, whatever.
Dani Austin
Put signs on it, figure out what the gender is. And Theo's like, it doesn't sound crazy, you know, that that could be the future. And Sam was like, you know, I don't know, I just feel. He just had a kid. He's like six months old or something. I wonder if he's the same age or something.
Danny Austin
They can combine.
Dani Austin
And so he was like, I don't know. I feel like with all this technology and AI AI, where everything is headed, some of, like, the most sacred human rituals, like pregnancy or prayer or whatever will be extremely protected and sacred because everything else is going to be like. So, like, yeah, he's like, you just can't take away that. That human part of us that we want. Because he was even talking about this, like, I can't remember what it's called, but basically, like, this wealth project where all of, like, what AI does, like, all of the billions of dollars it generates, we all would receive, like, tokens, like, almost like, not. It doesn't take what it take away capitalism, because you still have to, like, do what you want with your tokens. But we all receive this just, like, common currency, and we all receive the same amount so that we all feel.
Danny Austin
Like it's like the universal basic income.
Dani Austin
Yes, yes. And we. And we all feel bought into. AI and we all feel bought into, like, what it's working towards. And he was like, it's an interesting thought, but, like, you also can't take away the human part of us, that human agency that, like, wants to feel like we did it ourselves and, like, we earned what we got.
Danny Austin
100.
Dani Austin
Because that will, like, send us all into a depression if we're all just, like, given, you know, like, just given this universal basic income. Or wealth. He called it universal wealth income.
Danny Austin
I can't remember what was the results of the study done on ubi? Because they did this, they tested this in Silicon Valley. All these billionaires were like, ah, we don't need income. Like, let's just do it. And they gave it to a bunch of people. 3,000 low income participants in Texas and Illinois from 2020 to 2023 received universal basic income. Labor participation dropped only by 2 percentage points. Recipients worked 1.3 to 1.4 fewer hours per week. Time freed up was mostly used for leisure, not education, job training or new business ventures. Some short term improvements, including reduced stress, better food security, slight increase in healthcare spending, but no substantial health gains or improvements in employment quality.
Dani Austin
Because you could still take your tokens and like invest with them and build off of them too. Like you still have, you know, I don't know. I mean.
Danny Austin
You had hard pregnancies. Would you grow a baby outside of your womb? It's kind of weird.
Dani Austin
It's tempting, I'm not gonna lie. But, well. Oh my gosh.
Danny Austin
I know, right?
Dani Austin
I mean, they said too, like, it would be like a lot healthier because you would make sure your, your like baby's getting exactly what they need at everything.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Dani Austin
I'm not gonna lie. It's. It's a thought. It's a thought.
Danny Austin
It's a thought.
Dani Austin
You know, I mean, if I'm not doing anything wrong.
Danny Austin
Yeah. Like it's your baby, it's just not your womb.
Dani Austin
I mean, it's the same thing when people use surrogates. I personally would, I would, I would do it for sure.
Danny Austin
Leading the charge. You're starting the conversation.
Dani Austin
I'd have to think about like biblically, what they say about that. But you know, it's cool. God, I mean, like, absolutely. For sure. Yeah. I was reading that, that like birth rates are at our all time low. Oh yeah, I know. I mean we've always known that. But like I just saw another study. It was like the average child that like amount of children that someone has is like 1.26 or something. I was like, I don't really understand.
Danny Austin
Yeah, I never understand the, the point. The point twos. Like what does that mean?
Dani Austin
I guess it's just kind of round down there. So.
Danny Austin
So one. So what we're saying is one.
Dani Austin
There's 1.2 children. Yeah. So which is kind of, it's kind of scary to think of like a world of only children.
Danny Austin
That's so true.
Dani Austin
You know, culturally, how. I mean, maybe that'd be Good for us. Only children are always just such amazing people, you know?
Danny Austin
Wait, no, no, no.
Dani Austin
They are. It's because their parents gave. Paid so much attention to them. I. Every single only child I ever knew, they're like 11 years old, and their mom's like, bring the cabernet from 1942. And the child's like, you're coming right up, mother. Mother. And like, like, knows multiple languages. Went to the, like, most amazing private school. Super privileged. Can, like, can, like. Right. Can drive a plane when you fly a plane. But also, like, has all these tutors. They're. They're very successful people, these only children.
Danny Austin
That seems really anecdotal.
Dani Austin
No, it is not. I know a lot of only children. I really do.
Danny Austin
Really?
Dani Austin
Yeah, I do. And I grew up with quite a few of them. One of my.
Danny Austin
What are five of their names?
Dani Austin
Kendall Garst, Preston Hex, Colin Mangram. Brandon Young. This is just annoying. Like, you're being so annoying. Like, I got four really fast.
Danny Austin
Okay, okay, that's fair. It's just, I feel like the stereotype with only children is that they struggle to work well with others. They're slightly on.
Dani Austin
All the people I named are, like, probably very successful people. And no, no, it's not.
Danny Austin
Not success or unsuccess.
Dani Austin
Like, they struggle to get along with people.
Danny Austin
Just. No, just like, a little bit more, like, struggle with being self absorbed because they only had themselves.
Dani Austin
See, I just think they're mature. I think they're, like, mature people because they, like, didn't have to deal with all that bull crap growing up. Like, your sibling fighting with you and, like, somebody taking your toys. Like, you probably just, like, grow up more peaceful because, like, nobody's taking your ish all the time. And then you get to, like, be mature where you're, like, in high school and college and you learn quickly. If I don't share, I'm not gonna have friends, so I'm gonna share. Like, you just don't go through the mess.
Danny Austin
Totally.
Dani Austin

I mean seriously, there is nothing worse than a blowout when you're in the middle of a hike or at a pool party without a change of clothes nearby. This is why Huggies is our hero when it comes to making an inevitable blowout pain free. I was using a different diaper brand last weekend actually at the lake house and Summit. Blew out all over my white shirt at the pool and I had to walk home all with his poop on me and it was terrible. Huggies is the leading brand with all around blowout protection for sizes 1 and 2. This type of protection gives us parents peace of mind during our summer exploring having a diaper you can rely on to keep your kids dry and not irritate their baby skin is one of the biggest wins we can get as parents. Huggies knows baby skin is super sensitive and prioritizes your baby's skin health, aiming to keep them clean and safe. In these last couple months of summer, you shouldn't be worrying about how you'll deal with the next inevitable blowout. You should be having fun and creating memories without the worry. This is why knowing you have a diaper brand that's got your back is so important. So ease your blowout anxiety by switching to Huggies Little Snugglers. Huggies Little Snugglers are up to 100% leak proof with blowout protection in the front and the back on sizes 1 and 2. So you can feel confident relying on them for your little ones. Huggies Little Snugglers now with blowout protection in every direction, sizes one and two. Huggies, we got you, baby. I don't know because we both really, we weren't only children, but 5 year age gap kind of gives you sort of the best of both worlds. So we just don't. We don't know. We didn't grow up as siblings.
Dani Austin
Yeah. I feel like we both got a lot of attention.
Danny Austin
Yeah, for sure.
Dani Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
So we have elements of that.
Dani Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
Self absorption.
Dani Austin
You know, we're such narcissists.
Danny Austin
We are narcissists.
Dani Austin
I bet if you. Okay, I bet if you looked at the statistics or the numbers of like influencers, like OG influencers, like people back in the day that were like, I'm gonna be an influencer. And people were like, no, you're not. You know, I bet those, they're more of them had like.
Danny Austin
They were only children.
Dani Austin
Only children traits. Yeah, probably maybe like a little more.
Danny Austin
But then they all went on because they were all Mormon, all the OGs, and then they went on to have many not only children they like, but that's.
Dani Austin
You have to like separate the Mormons because they're, they're this. That's like a religious thing. Like they wanted to.
Danny Austin
True.
Dani Austin
It's part of their.
Danny Austin
It's separate.
Dani Austin
It's part of their mission for sure. So anyway. Oh, this actually does kind of lead to one of our things that make you go chatgpt may be eroding your critical thinking skills. I think this is such bull crap. Recent MIT study suggests that frequent use of ChatGPT may erode critical thinking and memory. Participants who relied on. On the AI to write essays showed lower brain engagement, produced less original work, and struggled to recall what they'd written. Indicating a buildup of cognitive debt. Even when they stopped using ChatGPT, their mental effort didn't fully rebound. While experts warn the findings are preliminary and based on a small sample, the research highlights the risks of over relying on AI tools as mental shortcuts rather than using them to support deeper thinking. Okay, I understand this if it's like, coming from, like, if you're a student, but like, I learned so much from ChatGPT, and like, I don't think it's eroding my critical thinking skills. I think it helps me because, like, I'll ask it, I'll be like, why does everybody hate Sam Altman? You know, and then I get to hear like, oh, well, Sam Altman is a controversial figure because. And then I'll be like, who else founded Open AI with Sam Altman? And it's like, Peter Thiel. And I'm like, oh, what are Peter Thiel and the. They're in Sam Altman's relationship like now. And I'm just, I'm critically thinking all over the board, you know, and like, I, I don't think it makes me think less. I think it makes me think more.
Danny Austin
I don't know.
Dani Austin
And honestly, if I didn't have it, I just wouldn't have asked. I wouldn't go Google it. It's just too much work.
Danny Austin
I think that the, the argument they're making is like, the less that we have to engage in those parts of our brain. Like, okay, this is a great example. Remember growing up, like, I could remember like all my friends phone numbers.
Dani Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
I can't. Like, do you know my phone number?
Dani Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
Do you do?
Dani Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
Okay, I know yours, but I couldn't tell you my mom's or my dad's or my brothers or all these numbers I used to remember.
Dani Austin
Oh, see, I know all my family members.
Danny Austin
Really?
Dani Austin
Yeah. I have this like, weird thing about my childhood, though. I remember everything.
Danny Austin
Yeah, I know we should get into that later. But like, so you also have really good long term memory. But if I asked you what we talked about like five seconds ago, you're like, you, like, wouldn't remember a thing. And like, you always have these thoughts. And then I'm like, oh, what is it? And you're like, I forgot.
Dani Austin
I know, but I, I know a lot of fun.
Danny Austin
But I think the point that they're making is like, I think that we're, we can get so lazy, like having the AI think for us that without engaging in that part of our brain, like, we almost like, forget how to do It.
Dani Austin
But I don't know. How would I think it if I don't know? I don't. If I don't know who Peter Thiel is, and then I can't think it, I have to ask it.
Danny Austin
No, I. I think what you're talking about is gaining information to critically think about it. And what that article is talking about is people being like, what. What should I think about this?
Dani Austin
But here's the thing. People have been doing this. Copying things from books, copying things from Google from the beginning of time. Like, I've been doing that forever. Like, I know you're not supposed to, but we. There would be times I'd be sitting in class and I'd be taking notes and, like, writing what I. Literally, an hour later, I'm like, I have no idea what I just learned. No idea.
Danny Austin
So what you're saying is that original thought has always been dead.
Dani Austin
I just think it takes a certain type of person and a certain type of topic to get you interested. Here's the thing. I find World War II fascinating now. Like, I literally could have cared less in high school and even in college about history. I became obsessed with history. As I got older, I. I could not have told you what World War II was about in high school or college. Yeah, I literally didn't know.
Danny Austin
I actually don't know what point you're trying to make.
Dani Austin
Me either.
Danny Austin
I have no idea what you're talking about.
Dani Austin
I'm like, but did you remember the element?
Danny Austin
I have no idea what you're talking about. You're now talking about how you didn't want to learn about World War II in your childhood, but now you do. And I can't figure out the thread how this ties back to ChatGPT.
Dani Austin
Because my point is, is that I think as you get older and as you mature, you start to become more interested about things. And I think they're studying all these kids that are in school that they're like, wow, it's eroding your critical thinking skills. Everything erodes your critical thinking skills when you're in school. You don't care.
Danny Austin
Okay?
Dani Austin
You just don't care.
Danny Austin
That's a really good point.
Dani Austin
That's why I'm saying, really strong point. Even if you give a kid, like, I remember, like, back in our day, if you had to do, like, write an essay about something, we had to go to the library and we had to check the books out, and that had to be, like, your source. Right? Sometimes, if you were lucky enough, you got into the computer lab and you could have an Internet source, but that was rare. Like.
Danny Austin
Guys, like, what year did you graduate college?
Dani Austin
I'm talking about in, like, middle school, high school.
Danny Austin
Oh, I'm so sorry. Okay. Yes. Yes, that's correct.
Dani Austin
You didn't have to go to the library in high school.
Danny Austin
I mean, we both went to public school, but I don't remember, like, checking.
Dani Austin
Out books for your, like, essays that you do write.
Danny Austin
I don't remember writing essays in. In middle school.
Dani Austin
See, he doesn't remember anything. It's so bad. I spent a lot of time at the library because I actually did.
Danny Austin
Sure, sure.
Dani Austin
And not. See, now you made me forget my thoughts.
Danny Austin
You gotta stop using chat gbt. It's eroding your memory. You've got no brain left. You're gonna have to get the neuralink and just merge with it. Just merge.
Dani Austin
My point was, is that there would be. Sometimes I would just check out these books and I would just copy, like, a sentence or two from the book. I'd be like, World War II happened in, you know, 19. Blah, blah, blah.
Danny Austin
Yeah, because you're like, what? What is my fifth grade teacher gonna, like, check out this book and catch me? Like, yeah, right.
Dani Austin
Well, or sometimes you could put, like, the source that you use at the end, you know?
Danny Austin
So basically your career was built on plagiarism.
Dani Austin
Probably. Honestly. For sure. No, for sure. Are you kidding me? It. All of ours were. Yeah, we all copied lines and books.
Danny Austin
Yeah, for sure.
Dani Austin
But then in college when you had, like, the essays, but they could, like, submit their. Your essay into, like, the plagiarism reader.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Dani Austin
Then. So I quit doing it.
Danny Austin
What if. What if there was never a plagiarism reader and that was just, like, this fictitious thing that the university.
Dani Austin
No, I knew it was real because, like, some of my friends got in trouble for it.
Danny Austin
Oh, really?
Dani Austin
It'd be like 30 of your essay is plagiarized. So now, though, I guess maybe. Oh, my gosh. Do you remember there was, like, a thing where, like, you could, like, take a picture of a math problem and, like, upload it and it would do the math problem for you? I never could figure it out, but it was cool. Do you remember that?
Danny Austin
No. In college.
Dani Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
No, I mean, that makes sense that that existed, but see, this is what I always did.
Dani Austin
And, like, I don't know if this still, like, exists.
Danny Austin
I'm sure that Che. You can say it, because the cheating's got to be way more sophisticated.
Dani Austin
No, I wasn't even cheating because this was on. But, like, okay, so, like, I would go to, like, if I had a Chem 301 exam, you know, on, I don't know, hydrogen. Okay. So I would just Google, like Chem 301 hydrogen exams, and I would print them all out and I would use those as like my practice studies. And always one of them was the exam. It happened every time.
Danny Austin
Wait, I'm sorry I missed it.
Dani Austin
So, like, I would just find them online. Like, they were just there. Like, I don't know who's uploading them. Like, other schools are uploading them as. And then the teachers, they think they're getting so sneaky on us. They would take like seven questions and then like, and then take a chunk of like another test and do like another seven questions. And I did all of those practice exams for to study. And I. So I. By the time I did the. I'm like, I've already seen all these questions. You know, Sometimes they would change the numbers, though.
Danny Austin
You know what always was fascinating to me is the kids. What were Those big calculators? T83.
Dani Austin
Oh, yeah, TI.
Danny Austin
TI83. The. The kids who knew how to like, hide answers, like deep within the calculator or like, so it's like not on the main screen, but they were able to like toggle and like scroll, scroll down.
Dani Austin
And it's like, yes, yes.
Danny Austin
I can never. The. The furthest I could come to is I figured out how to write boobs on the calculator. And like, we just thought it was hilarious. That was like sixth grade. To be fair, it wasn't like high school. 80085. I remember to this day.
Dani Austin
No, what I would do is I would just like right before the test would begin, I would look at like the cheat sheet, you know, and I would take a mental picture and then as soon as they say go, I would write down all the formulas immediately.
Danny Austin
You know, there's no way you did that. I'm just saying you can't. There's no way your short term memory was firing on this.
Dani Austin
It was. This was back in the day.
Danny Austin
What happened?
Dani Austin
Well, I know. I'm actually really good. It's like, I still do that sometimes when I'm doing a script for Debbie or for a script for a brand deal. Yeah, I have great short term memory.
Danny Austin
We just talked about how you didn't. You're like, dory, we make that joke all the time. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Let's try.
Dani Austin
I can't remember.
Danny Austin
Okay, mental snapshot. What was it?
Dani Austin
Day 354.
Danny Austin
Okay, you're right. That does look like it's a five, but it looks like. Wait, so what was it?
Dani Austin
J 354.
Danny Austin
Yeah. You're good. Okay. Wow. Impeccable.
Dani Austin
You can ask me later on this episode.
Danny Austin
Okay. It. It does seem, before we move on, it does seem like in this episode, you're a little bit on one today. Is there. Was that from the frustration before the podcast? What'd you say that frustration was because.
Dani Austin
We didn't make the time. 100.
Danny Austin
Oh. So is that fueling? You're feisty in a lot of your feedback.
Dani Austin
Feisty.
Danny Austin
A little bit.
Dani Austin
I am not.
Danny Austin
You're. You're doing a lot of. You know what? Back in my. You're. You're doing a lot of.
Dani Austin
So you don't. You want me to calm down?
Danny Austin
No, no. I'm. I'm just.
Dani Austin
So you're saying you don't like my personality?
Danny Austin
No, I'm trying to meet you where you're at today. I'm trying to. I'm trying to understand what type of tone. What type of mood are we in?
Dani Austin
Why does it matter?
Danny Austin
It doesn't matter. Let's keep going.
Dani Austin
You're annoying me.
Danny Austin
This is what I was trying to call out with the chicken and dumplings. Like, I don't know how to explain it. Like, I told you I was cooking chicken and dumplings, and I saw contempt in your eyes, and I was like, why do you hate me right now? Like, and then you come up here and you confuse me because you're like, oh, my gosh, I'm so lucky to have this happen. I'm like, you literally were staring like fireballs into my soul.
Dani Austin
I was not.
Danny Austin
I.
Dani Austin
You know what? It just hurts my feelings that you.
Danny Austin
Now she's going to cry.
Dani Austin
Want to make chicks and dumplings instead of hang out with me.
Danny Austin
I knew it. I knew it.
Dani Austin
It's horrible.
Danny Austin
I knew it.
Dani Austin
I'm there too. You know.
Danny Austin
I knew it.
Dani Austin
Instead, you want to make chicken and dumplings.
Danny Austin
She's actually crying.
Dani Austin
It's like a whole day activity. What about me?
Danny Austin
It's a slow cooker. The recipe literally said 10 minutes of prep time. 5 hours of cooking in a slow cooker.
Dani Austin
Anyway.
Danny Austin
Oh, man. That's so real. Though. I knew it wasn't about the time. 100. I knew I knew something with this chicken duff links.
Dani Austin
Like, and that's my favorite meal. And you come in here and you act like it's not special. You should make it my birthday. My favorite food ever.
Danny Austin
Oh, my gosh.
Dani Austin
Make it on a random Saturday, either.
Danny Austin
You'Re PMSing or you're pregnant. We'll. We'll have to. To let the audience decide. This is what I meant, though. This is why I had to stop the podcast. I was like, I'm scared to. I'm scared to take another step forward.
Dani Austin
Totally normal.
Danny Austin
For real. Oh, my God.
Dani Austin
No. Embarrassed.
Danny Austin
No, you're not embarrassed. It's okay.
Dani Austin
Have I been really mean?
Danny Austin
No, you. You haven't been mean to me. You're just mad@chat. GPT in the world.
Dani Austin
You know what?
Danny Austin
And yourself for not wanting to learn About World War II in high school and waiting until adulthood.
Dani Austin
Oh, my gosh. Anyway, here you talk about something else that really pisses me. Okay. For real. Things that make you go. Did you hear about what Matt Healey's. Maddie Healey's mom said about Taylor Swift?
Danny Austin
Is that the. Her ex boyfriend?
Dani Austin
Yes.
Danny Austin
Yeah. What did he. What did she say?
Dani Austin
So on watch what Happened Lives. Maddie Healey's mom, Denise Welch, cheekily said she's glad she's not glad. She's glad not to be. Taylor says mother in law, a role she joked she's happy to have lost. She admitted the situation was tricky, but clarified she has nothing against Taylor personally. Doesn't sound like it, Denise. Denise also pointed out the irony that Swift couldn't talk during the relationship, but later released an entire album, possibly inspired by it. She added that Maddie took it all in stride and is now happily engaged with the family. Fully moved on. Direct quote. Obviously on pain of death. Can I talk about that? Obviously on pain of death. Can I talk about that episode? But not being her mother in law is a role that I am glad that I lost. Not that I have anything against her at all. It was just. It was tricky. She. Listen, you're not allowed to say anything. And then she writes a whole album about it. It's not wrong.
Danny Austin
She's not wrong.
Dani Austin
Yeah, she's not wrong.
Danny Austin
She's not wrong.
Dani Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
Like, meaning she was probably under NDA.
Dani Austin
Yeah. You. I'm sure.
Danny Austin
And then she, like, gets to release, like, a whole.
Dani Austin
I'm sure you can't even be in, like, the same building as Taylor without signing an NDA.
Danny Austin
Gosh, that's got to be hard.
Dani Austin
I know, but I think it's like she. It's. It's probably to the point where she doesn't even ask. Like, it's like all that her people.
Danny Austin
Well, we know that's not true. Unless.
Dani Austin
Stop. Stop. We're not doing there, guys. Yeah, we can't. Okay. Sometimes we know things and we can't tell you. Okay.
Danny Austin
We signed a Taylor NDA. No, we didn't, but.
Dani Austin
But we kind of.
Danny Austin
But we're scared. We're scared.
Dani Austin
No. Like, yeah. So. Yeah. I mean, that has to be really frustrating when it's like, I bet they signed all these NDAs. They can't say one bad thing about Taylor Swift, yet she can write a whole album exposing their relationship, exposing the smallest man that ever lived. And he can't really. But you know what? I don't feel bad for him because he can write an album too.
Danny Austin
Yeah. You know, wasn't he, like, not a good guy? I'm not saying. What his mother is saying is not fair.
Dani Austin
I mean, I think he was, like, loyal to Taylor. What makes a bad person.
Danny Austin
I just thought he was like the. The. The bad guy. The. The bad boy.
Dani Austin
Yeah. But I don't think he was, like, a bad person.
Danny Austin
Oh, okay.
Dani Austin
I think he's just kind of like a party boy, but, like, I don't think he did anything wrong.
Danny Austin
Got it.
Dani Austin
Well, she better be careful, this Denise lady. I know, cuz you do not want to upset the Swifties.
Danny Austin
Do you think she's losing some of her power, though? Like, people are kind of getting over it. No, really? Same. Still trucking.
Dani Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
She should honestly retire after that last. That last tour.
Dani Austin
I don't think she will.
Danny Austin
She's gonna, like, come out with another album, so.
Dani Austin
I would imagine so. She just doesn't seem like she's coming to, like, her end. Like, she just seems like she's. She feels like she's just getting started sometimes.
Danny Austin
Wild.
Dani Austin
I know.
Danny Austin
It's really crazy.
Dani Austin
It's. It's kind of a little ick sometimes.
Danny Austin
That's what I'm saying is like, people are kind of like, okay, too much. Like, go, be happy. Go. Go get married. Have some babies.
Dani Austin
No, I don't think she'll have kids. No, I don't think that's, like, that. She wants that.
Danny Austin
Interesting.
Dani Austin
I think she just wants to keep.
Danny Austin
Going more is what she wants. The world, the whole world.
Dani Austin
I don't know. Because you see Scotty Shuffler, he wins the Masters and he's like, I don't get the point. And then you have Taylor Swift that's like, going for like 20 years, and she's. I. More. More. And like, it's just so. Scotty Shuffler just feels so human.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Dani Austin
And she just doesn't. She doesn't feel like a human. It's like. But why, you know.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Dani Austin
Why do you keep Going. And Scotty was like, I don't know why people keep going. He's like, I just probably won't. Like, I don't. Like, I'll do it, but, like, if it ever gets in the way of my personal life, I won't. And then it's just weird.
Danny Austin
Do you think that Scotty gained respect from his competitors in the sport after that speech, or.
Dani Austin
No, I think that they. They probably all, like, were, like. Were able to take a deep breath and be like, we feel the same way, too, bro. Like, I don't know what the point is. Like, I just am doing this because my dad set me up for golf lessons and put all this pressure on me my entire life, and now I have to win, but I don't. I don't even really like it.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Dani Austin
So many people, like, hate their sport that they play.
Danny Austin
Oh. Oh. Like, professionally.
Dani Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
Yeah. There's a lot of tennis burnouts. That's what I've realized. There's a lot of people who burn out of tennis. Like, they're raised. They grow up, they play in college.
Dani Austin
I think it's because it's a single sport. You don't have a team.
Danny Austin
That's true. So is golf, though.
Dani Austin
I think a lot of people burn out of golf.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Dani Austin
Yeah. And it's like. But I think when you play a team sport, there's so much camaraderie, and there's so much, like, you really can't win on your own. You really can't. With a team sport, it doesn't matter how good you are, you still have to have the point guard. You still have to have somebody rebounding. You still have to have. There's not as much pressure on just one person, but those single sports can be a lot of pressure. It's like, it's you.
Danny Austin
It's just you, but you love it. Tennis. You played today? How'd you do?
Dani Austin
I played okay. You know, I really think it's my racket. I've decided.
Danny Austin
Retuned.
Dani Austin
Yeah. I need a new racket. My racket is so cute. It's pink, but it's plastic. And sometimes when I hit the ball, it just spins around in my hand, so. So I think I need a heavier one.
Danny Austin
Where'd you play? In the club?
Dani Austin
Yeah, at the club, with the girls, with the gals. They invited me to brunch, but I couldn't. I was busy.
Danny Austin
Too busy.
Dani Austin
It's just too busy. I said, I'll meet you for Arnold Palmer next week, ladies. So. Yeah. That's interesting. Okay. This one's super interesting. Tell me things that make you go. French President Sue's Candace Owens. French President Emmanuel Macron. I don't know if you say it right. I know it's not macaroon, but. Macro and his wife, Bridget Br. Brigitte, are suing commentator Candace Owens for defamation in Delaware, accusing her of spreading false conspiracy theory that Brigitte was born male. The lawsuit claims Owens ignored retraction requests and used the smear to boost her podcast and merchandise, causing emotional harm and public. Public humiliation. The 219 page complaint seeks damages in a jury trial marking a rare defamation case by a world leader in US Court. Oh, this makes me cringe. Owens has not yet responded directly, but her team framed the suit as an attack on free speech.
Danny Austin
Well, it is hard. I think it's really hard to win a defamation case as a publicly elected official or any type of public figure, because what. What the court will say is that the bar is so high to win a defamation case as a public figure, especially a publicly elected figure. But this one is so personal.
Dani Austin
I don't know. She does that whole episode on it, too.
Danny Austin
I. Have you listened to it?
Dani Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
Does she go, like, really deep? Like, she, like, actually states, like, a. A methodical case?
Dani Austin
Yeah. She even talks about how Bridget was his teacher, like, growing up.
Danny Austin
And is that true?
Dani Austin
Like, what do you call it when you, like, try to, from a very young age.
Danny Austin
Groom.
Dani Austin
Groom. Like, groomed him?
Danny Austin
Question.
Dani Austin
And it's weird that.
Danny Austin
Did you see that video where she punched him in the face?
Dani Austin
Yeah. Oh, so good. It was so bad.
Danny Austin
So bad.
Dani Austin
It was so bad. It was like. Honestly, like, it reminds me of one of those, like, Disney Channel movies. Like.
Danny Austin
Yeah, that was a good Internet moment.
Dani Austin
Yeah. Where, like, it was like, you. This has to be fake. Like, and they just caught. Oh. So. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, can I.
Danny Austin
Can you just summarize the case that Candace made? She was his teacher.
Dani Austin
She was his teacher in that, I guess.
Danny Austin
What's the age gap?
Dani Austin
I guess there's, like, pictures of Brigitte as a male, too, like, working at that school or during that time period or something. I don't know. I can't remember. Don't sue me, President, please. Allegedly. They. Apparently, if you say the word allegedly, then you're clear of everything. They're like, allegedly, Danny Austin. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Like, okay, so now it makes it true. The age gap is 24 years. Yeah, 24 years.
Danny Austin
That's a big age gap.
Dani Austin
And they got married, so, like, they were definitely dating when, like, he was Underage. What? They're both, they were definitely together.
Danny Austin
Okay. You also, you don't see a lot of females dating minors.
Dani Austin
That's right. She thinks it's a male.
Danny Austin
Well, but you do see a lot of like teachers that like sleep with their students that are, but maybe those are just like the, the five. And they just get a lot of press coverage because it's so.
Dani Austin
I don't know. I could, I think that the same way that males can groom.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Dani Austin
I think females can too.
Danny Austin
24 years is. That's a big age gap.
Dani Austin
Yeah. No, yeah. It's weird.
Danny Austin
I mean that, that, that in and of itself is weird. But it, the, the only thing that confused me is it feels like Candace Owens wouldn't risk a lawsuit if she, if she herself. I'm not saying it's true. If she herself didn't feel like it was true. Like, I don't really know. Like, I know she's getting a lot more publicity than she, she did in the past.
Dani Austin
Sometimes I think she's a little too big for her britches.
Danny Austin
Okay. So that could be it too.
Dani Austin
There are some things that she is so confident about and so I know it all about and, and I love to hear her opinion on things. But I think it's okay to sometimes admit that you don't know. You maybe think. But then she just, her, all of her thoughts are fact. In her mind.
Danny Austin
She's probably an 8 on the Enneagram 1 trillion. The thing about eights. Love them to death.
Dani Austin
She is such an 8.
Danny Austin
But like eights are always confident and always right about everything.
Dani Austin
Everything.
Danny Austin
There's not a shred of like I could be, I could be wrong.
Dani Austin
There's. And we're talking about unhealthy eats. They're, they lack humility.
Danny Austin
For sure. Lack humility.
Dani Austin
And I just, I, yeah, I have a problem with that in the, in Candace. But you know, I like to hear her opinions on things.
Danny Austin
Has she widened her demo? She used to be like with Daily Wire only really was like kind of like a right wing figure. But then she started covering like Blake Lively and other people. Like has she broadened her base similar to what's her name? Hold on. House inhabit.
Dani Austin
House Inhabit kind of happened to House in habit.
Danny Austin
She kind of appeals.
Dani Austin
Candace buried her in the ground. I, I, I like that is one thing. Like you do not cross Candace Owens. Like I'm sorry. Whether I, whatever I feel about her. Like you just don't cross her.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Dani Austin
She's like kind of like crossing Taylor.
Danny Austin
Swift or Candace Owens.
Dani Austin
100. So wait, can you imagine those two at it? I really can't because Taylor is smart enough to like, keep up with her. Yeah, sorry, go ahead.
Danny Austin
So has she like, broadened?
Dani Austin
Yes. So I started listening to Candace when she was covering the Blake Lively case. I was never really into her. Her politics. And so now like, you know, she'll. She'll talk about politics and I, I like it because it's like, it keeps me up to date with kind of like, honestly, I usually just listener and I have to google everything that she's talking about politically. But I'm like, yeah, it keeps me up to date with what's going on.
Danny Austin
She's Catholic.
Dani Austin
Yeah. She's converted to Catholicism. And then so, yeah, she's just so like, aggressive. It's a little off putting.
Danny Austin
It makes for good Internet. But she'd be probably pretty hard to hang out with.
Dani Austin
I actually think it's opposite. I think that she's actually probably a lot cooler in person. That's how all these people are.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Dani Austin
Then like Alex Clark in on the podcast was way more.
Danny Austin
She was like in. In her mode.
Dani Austin
She was in her mode. But like off camera, she was like way more soft spoken, kind of just like read the room was the same energy of the room. You know, she wasn't as loud as she is on her podcast.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Dani Austin
Like, I was like, oh, I really want to hang out with her. And she probably. And she just seems to be more open minded.
Danny Austin
I think you're pretty much consistent on the podcast and off the podcast.
Dani Austin
Thank you, babe.
Danny Austin
It's a compliment. It's good. It's a good thing.
Dani Austin
Thank him.
Danny Austin
You are who you are. Well, that's been a great episode today, guys. Do we have anything else to cover? Any ground to cover?
Dani Austin
Hulk Hogan.
Danny Austin
I got a five hour. Yeah, he did rip.
Dani Austin
You know, 71's young.
Danny Austin
I know, but I. He probably put his body through a lot of things.
Dani Austin
I know, but I feel like he was just performing.
Danny Austin
No, for sure. But I think like a lot of those. Like, do you ever watch Iron Claw?
Dani Austin
No.
Danny Austin
That. Yeah. You did? I think we saw it together with Zac Efron.
Dani Austin
Oh, you know. Okay. Okay.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Dani Austin
Oh, with the.
Danny Austin
Zach the wrestler.
Dani Austin
About the brothers.
Danny Austin
Yeah, about the brothers.
Dani Austin
And like, what's the brother's name? See, A horrible memory.
Danny Austin
Well, I forgot their name too, but.
Dani Austin
It'S kind of weird name those brothers.
Danny Austin
But it's like a wrestling family. And like, I don't know if in that movie or if it was a documentary I watched, but like, they used to pound steroids back in, like, the OG wrestling days. And I don't know long term what it does to you, but, like, heart issues are for sure a part of steroid use.
Dani Austin
Von Erich.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Dani Austin
Yeah, that can't be good for you. And then you. We lost Ozzy Osbourne. He also did a lot of drugs, though.
Danny Austin
Mm.
Dani Austin
Just the great. So the point of the episode is just don't do drugs.
Danny Austin
Don't do drugs, guys. Okay, we'll see you guys next week.
