But I was so sensitive and empathetic because I've watched you go through the same identity crisis. And I was like, oh, like, it's okay.

We've had a couple people on our JV team have babies and then be like, can I work part time or can I do this? And I feel like we're usually like, yeah, like, we get it. It's.

Yeah, it's hard, but, you know, keep leaning in, you know, as. What's her name? Cheryl Sandberg.

Lean in. You know, it has been really crazy, this postpartum so far. It's been really great. But there is one thing that I. I realized that men just. You'll never. You don't ever understand, and you always forget. What is one thing that a man always forgets every month?

Oh, your period.

Yes. And it's, like, so funny because it happens every month. Like, it's not like, oh, my gosh, like, what's happening? It's like, no, it happens every three to four weeks. And I had my first. And, you know, I'm actually not one to talk about, like, things like this publicly. Usually. Like, I'm like, I'm not, like, going to talk about bodily functions a lot of times.

Totally.

Like, I just don't really feel like it's totally necessary. But I am going to talk about this first period back after you have a baby. I truly. I'm not kidding you. I thought I was hemorrhaging. I almost thought I needed to call 91 1. Like, I. It was so intense because that happens postpartum, people. My mom, actually, that happened to her after she had me. She started running before, like, the doctor. Doctor approved her, too.

Yeah.

[Danny Austin]

And she hemorrhaged, and she had to go to the hospital. And Jordan's, like, getting a little crazy.

[Jordan Austin]

Sorry. It's just, like, the. The visuals are tough.

It's. And, like, so that happened to me, and I'm only. I think I'd happen when I was only 10 or 11 weeks postpartum, which feels very early for me. And so. Because I think. I think with Stella, I was, like, six months postpartum.

Yeah.

Anyway, it's like Jordan's like, you're acting crazy. Like, you're not really. And I'm like, what do you think is happening right now, Guys?

Let me tell you, though. She was acting so crazy, it was unsustainable to be in this home. It's like, she's acting real crazy.

Jordan thinks it's spiritual warfare. I think it's just my period.

No, I. Guys. Danny, don't joke about this. We talked about it. I'm telling you, there's been a lot of things that have happened. It is straight up spiritual warfare.

It's so funny, because we don't. We don't keep anything nice in our cars.

Well, it was very clear. He, like. He had thrown, like, Stella's sunglasses, like, on the ground or he or she. And was just, like, pissed about it probably. But, yeah. No, our Our car got ruffled like some demon broke into our car.

That. No, that's. That we're not. Listen, that's like you minimizing.

Jordan was out of town last week, and I didn't even tell people, like, because I was, like, scared because I didn't want people to know I was home alone. I'm like, gotcha. Gotcha. Burglars.

Well, and we've. I mean, we've fortified this place. This place is basically Fort Knox.

Yes. But, yeah, so somebody. We had two men, and, like, my. We have pictures and video of them. They're just really not very smart. But they tried to break into our house last week, and it was like, this whole thing.

Yeah, no, this was. This is real talk. Like, we were at the Avon, and I got a text from the babysitter, and she was like, hey, are you expecting someone? And then I opened up the cameras and there were, like, two guys that wouldn't leave. They had been there for, like, 20 minutes, and they kept saying that.

[Danny Austin]

But here's the thing. They were here last Saturday and they were disguising themselves as pest control and told our. Our babysitter that they were there for an 8:30pm Saturday night apart appointment to spray our home. And here's the thing. They had their car running. They never turned their car off. So the car was still running outside of our house. We have cameras everywhere, too. So I'm like. I don't know, like, what these guys were thinking. They were younger, like, in their younger 20s, and they had no, like, gear on. They had no gear that they were holding. They just both had iPads and left the car running, which is so sketchy. Like, you leave a. It's a. It's a runaway car. Like, so you can steal something. I don't know.

They. They also had fake badges and they kept. It was 8:30 at night on a Saturday, and they kept saying, we have an appointment. Let us in.

[Danny Austin]

The owner.

And so I was on one phone with our babysitter, and then Danny called 911 on her other phone. And trick of the trade is, if something like that is urgent, the. You need to say that you believe that they're armed because we had. And DPD love all of our service members, but, like, it's understaffed, so it. It's not super reliable. And we had eight cops in like, bulletproof vests in our yard in two minutes.

I. I'm not saying this like. Like, I really think they could have been armed. Like, I don't even think that that was the way to get them out. Just saying.

[Jordan Austin]

Well, no, if you ever have a suspicion, you should just clarify.

[Danny Austin]

We believe that there are if. Like, because otherwise. Yeah, you're right, they won't come. But like, these men, I don't understand. They had to have a weapon. Like, you know what I mean? Like, how else are they going to get. So anyway. But yes, I agree with you. So I love our Dallas police department. In fact, every time I see them out and about, I go say hello or try to buy their chick Fil A. But. Yeah, so very appreciative to them. But we also have pictures and videos of these guys. Like, I was like, where do I post this stuff? I was like, I'm not going to post it on my Instagram. That feels weird.

It's like the only time I've wished I was on the next door app.

I know. So I. I send them to all of our neighbors and I was like, can y'all post these on the next drop? I don't get on the next door app because it is honestly my biggest fear in life. Like, to have my neighbors mad at me. Yeah.

I'd rather just, like, not know.

Internet hate is like, one thing, but local hate.

I'm so scared of that social media platform. But I do think it. It serves a great purpose. Remember one time Lola got out and somebody posted on there.

It was amazing. So it really is like, amazing, but.

So post mortem on the period. You're saying what exactly? That all was normal?

No, I'm not saying all was normal. I'm just saying when it comes to the emotional side of what I was dealing with, like. Like anger that I couldn't let go of. Yeah, I. I do think that is hormonal.

Yeah.

No, just in general, but 80% towards. Okay, whatever.

Yeah, it was hormonal. And you're. Yeah. Like, there's a. There's a lot at play here. I get it.

There's a lot at play. There's postpartum. There is. I'm slightly, you know, like, the weaning off of the breast feeding, like, all of that. The. I have noticed, like, my hair is falling out a little bit.

[Jordan Austin]

We have a solution for that.

Yeah, I know, but it is, like, it's postpartum, like, hormones for sure. And I am once. I am like, not totally done breastfeeding. I'm gonna get back on my. My hair vitamins. But, yeah, I mean, it's still looking great, but, you know, it just. It just happens. It happens.

That all being said, I feel like your postpartum depression is not really there.

Yeah.

Depression isn't always sad, though. You're not just like. It's a. It's like people, like, think that when you're depressed, you're just sad all the time. You're. You're more just like, what's my purpose?

What am I doing in life? For sure.

You know, I. I was thinking about when, you know, you were on your period, and I just was so scared of every moment of my life. Here I was thinking about how much we've done in the past, like, four years, and it's really, like.

It's painful to think about.

But I think that it's just that people that floss their teeth typically live longer. But that's because I think that people that floss their teeth typically take care of themselves, therefore, they live longer. Because if they're flossing their teeth, they're probably taking vitamins too. Like, they're just that type of person.

So I know the science. I looked it up because it's a little confusing. But the biggest thing that I know, that nicotine, it's like all the crunchy.

Moms are now behind nicotine.

Honestly, I think that this. This nicotine movement is even like a little before the crunchy moms. Like, I think you have to be like, ultra crunchy to know about this, because I don't even think the crunchy moms know about this. But, like, I'm sure that they catch up. You know, it always comes in waves. Yeah, yeah. And so the nicotine movement, the thing is, it has to be used, like, chronically. Like, you have to use it consistently in order for it to. To have benefits. But the biggest things that I've been reading about with nicotine is it helps prevent Alzheimer's and, like, dementia and Parkinson's, which I thought was really interesting. So then I'm like, okay, it's like, like, do nicotine every day to prevent Alzheimer? I don't know. Yeah, but I was reading about it, and this was the study, because there are some studies on it. Of course, tobacco is what's bad. So if you can just get nicotine in a patch or a piece of gum. Like, we chewed a nicotine gum that the brand's called Lucy, and it was actually really good. It's like pomegranate flavor. And the way you do it is you chew it 10 times and then you stick it in between your cheek in your teeth, and you let it sit there, and you let it sit there for maybe five minutes, and then you do it again. So it's kind of like. Yeah, it's kind of like a little fun activity for your mouth.

It's weird. I kind of like felt like I was doing drugs, but, like, it's like over the counter gum.

But did, like, it kind of felt like. And also like your aunt gave it to us. I was like, but it's kind of like Your mom gave me that gummy that one time.

So it's like this is a family.

But, yeah, it was. It made me feel. At first, I was like, I don't feel anything. And then I felt it. First of all, it made my throat really itchy. Like, it felt like there was just a bunch of pepper in my throat, you know? So I didn't like that. And then I felt really dizzy. Did you feel dizzy?

I felt like a brain fog. Like, I felt very disoriented and, like, I couldn't get my thoughts straight. Which is weird because the guy there was saying that it helped him focus, and it did the opposite for me. And it kind of made my stomach.

It's like.

Like smoking a cigar.

It's like it made me lose my appetite immediately.

I think it does do that, though.

Immediately I was like. Because I was really hungry when we got there. We were gonna do those smash burgers.

Oh, yeah. And I ate, like, two burgers.

But, no, I mean, because as soon as I. I threw it out. Threw it out. I feel like within 10 minutes, I felt back to normal.

But like, the. You know, for about five minutes, I was like. And I didn't. I did not like it, but so. Nicotine fairly specifically binds to the colog. But when she started covering the Blake Lively Justin Baldoni case, that's what got.

I got really deep into it because I love how in depth she goes and she creates all these timelines and everything was so factual. So anyway, that is how I kind of found out about the House in Habit. Candace Owens drama. House Inhabit is also another independent journalist who used to be an extreme, like, Democrat, and during 2020, switched to basically supporting Trump, became, like, a pretty strong conservative. Now, I would say she's. She identifies as, like, she's independent, I guess so. But she was very pro Trump during, like, his campaigns.

She was pro Trump for a couple days there, for sure. Yeah.

She was at Mar A Lago a lot.

Yeah. Yeah. I don't know if she still is, but she definitely was pro Trump for a couple days. And. But, yeah, she's always been pro rfk. But anyway, so they're both kind of fighting for the same causes now. They don't agree on everything, but they're both, you know, successful in their own right, have pretty cult followings. And all of a sudden, I see this Candace Owens video, and they were going at each other's necks because they were on a podcast together in January. And then House in Habit, they decided they want to do more collaborations together. So they're like. Candice is like, yeah, let's do it. And House Inhabit has one of her writers for her Substance Stack creating a hit piece about Candace Owens, even though they're talking about doing a collaboration together. And when their teams meet up, Candace finds out that this is going on and was like, what the heck? Like, we were supporting each other. We got along. And I guess that one of the biggest hits on Candace Owens was they were trying to kind of, like, out her husband for being friends with Andrew Tate, which I don't even really know if they were that close, but there's, like, screenshots and text messages that came out between House Inhabitants writer that was writing for her substack saying, hey, this article about Candace Owens is not good enough. We need a clean shot. Literally, the quote says, we need a clean shot. Take her out.

Clean shot. Oh, like. But basically a kill shot. Like you need something like, basically none of this is good enough. Like, find something more. And so Candace got a hold of that and I don't know, I just feel like it's one of those things, like, you just don't mess with Candace.

Not seen, but, like, was more conservative for quite some time, you find out that she actually never voted in this last election.

And then people thought for a bit that she was like a CIA plant that was like, put in place to gain the trust of all of these conservatives, but really, like working for, like, the Democrats. I just. I was like. And I'm like, I have all these goals that I had last year that I could just make up in the moment. And then I was like, so my goal is to not have goals. My goal is to just be healthy and run my business and keep working, but not become a workaholic.

I mean, so let me just preface by saying. So we live in actual Dallas now. If you go on these suburbs or the outskirts of Dallas, Dallas, like, suburbs, have some of the best schools, I think, in the nation.

Like, public schools.

Public schools, yes. I mean, like, even the school I went to growing up, public school, I thought it was a great school. Jordan school growing up. So there are. When people say Dallas, though, it's kind of one of those things where it's like, you know, what. What part of Dallas VFW area are we talking about? But. But Dallas proper, outside of Highland park, some of the schools aren't as. As good. And Highland park is like the wealthiest little nugget in Dallas, and we don't live in Highland Park. And actually where we live has great. We have some good public schools, but it's one of those things where it's like the middle schools are good or the elementary school is good and the high school is not as great. Like, you know, it's kind of like. So if you're gonna get into private school because it's so competitive, like, you should try to get your kids into private school in kindergarten, even if you have a good elementary school, because if you wait till they're, you know, in fourth grade, by that time, the private school is only going to have, like, two spots open if you're trying to get in. Do you know what I'm saying? So anyway, so the Dallas schools, private schools, y'all, this admission Process is truly. It reminds me of college. It might even be harder than college, because in college, you at least can work really hard and get your grades up and then get into a school and, like, prove yourself. But getting into a private school, they don't know your child. Also, like, Your child is 4 years old. It's like, the application's like, what's your child's favorite book? And I'm like, brown bear. Like, I don't know.

It's so funny. Like, it is so funny because I will wake up and I'll be like, oh, my God, I slept so well last night. And I look at my sleep score. It's like 65 every single time. And then Jordan's like, oh, no sleep. And it's like 100. It happens every single time.
