Hello and welcome back to your favorite podcast.
Danny
No, no, I do it. Hello and welcome back to your favorite podcast.
Jordan
D Influenced.
Danny
I feel like I have to get something off my chest.
Jordan
I know what you're gonna say.
Danny
Really? You know me that well?
Jordan
Yeah, what you're gonna say. You don't feel like I've been listening to you? Oh, my God.
Danny
How did you know?
Jordan
Because I know.
Danny
I feel like you have been on your phone.
Jordan
Like, every time.
Danny
Every time I talk to you, you pull up your phone. It's like as soon as you hear my voice, you pull up your phone and disengage. Am I annoying to you?
Jordan
Is it. Is it just this morning, though?
Danny
No, it was yesterday too.
Jordan
Well, it was. It was yesterday when you really wanted to talk about how you felt about, you know, certain things. But I. I took.
Danny
Remember I tried to talk to you last night about, like, a reality. Oh, I was trying to talk to you about, like, that. That AI Instagram.
Jordan
Actually, that's where it started. It started because Danny wanted me to show me the AI food talking.
Danny
Have you seen those videos where it's like, I'm a banana. Don't put me next to the other fruits because I release toxins and I'll kill them. And then it's like, I'm a bowl of rice. Don't eat me after 24 hours because I develop some type of bacteria that can kill your gut. And it's like all these, like, fruits and vegetables, like, yelling at you.
Jordan
No, it really did start at that moment because you were like, I want to show you. And I go, I'm. I'm good, babe. I'll watch it later.
Danny
I, like, even played it out. I was like, babe, you have to watch it. And I tried to, like, play it out. And he was like, oh, yeah, that's so funny. I don't really want to watch it.
Jordan
Yeah. And you were.
Danny
And then I go, why are you being such a loser?
Jordan
And then I watched it and we watched like four or five clips. And then you hand me your phone as though like, I needed to keep watching them while you went and got a snack.
Danny
Yeah.
Jordan
So that's when it started.
Danny
You didn't actually want to be watching them?
Jordan
No.
Danny
You said they were so interesting.
Jordan
They were interesting. They're very fact filled and fun.
Danny
What is so important about your life right now that you can't watch a bowl of rice yell at you?
Jordan
It's not that my life is important. It's just sometimes I'm Just kind of like, I don't. I don't want to right now.
Danny
Yeah, I get it. But you haven't really wanted to for, like, 24 hours. 48 hours.
Jordan
24 hours.
Danny
No, it's at least. I would say at least. Well, let me think. At least 36 hours.
Jordan
No, it hasn't even been 24 hours because that was last night at 9.
Danny
No, but it was. It's been all day yesterday, too. Babe, listen, I just want to know what you're reading on your text messages. That's all I want to know. Like, and they're so extensive. Like, you're getting paragraphs, and I'm like, what is going on? Like, I feel like something is happening.
Jordan
Is that what you think?
Danny
Yes, that's what I'm saying.
Jordan
Usually. So this is what Danny's feeling. Usually when I get canceled. When she gets canceled, it used to be that I harbored it and she.
Danny
Hide it from me for, like.
Jordan
And then I would try and solve it behind the scenes with, like, the team and the crisis on the phone.
Danny
And they were secretly talking about how I was being canceled. And, like, I always knew. Like, I always had an inkling because I was like, nobody's talking to me anymore. Everybody's just talking about me and being secretive because they don't want me to find out. But now I'm going to have to go online and find out. So then I find out myself, and then they already know.
Jordan
Yeah. I think that trauma is just stored in your body. What I'm texting has nothing to do with you.
Danny
But why are they so lengthy?
Jordan
Because I'm asking very complicated questions about, like, certain, like, areas of our ad spend at Divi. It's so boring. The reason I don't tell you is not because I'm hiding something from you. I just know you don't care.
Danny
But I do care.
Jordan
I'm asking, and it's just so funny because you're so fickle. Like. Like, I. I've been more needy lately.
Danny
Okay.
Jordan
No, no, no.
Danny
I had a bad day. I cried last night. Was that the night before?
Jordan
That was the night before.
Danny
See what I'm saying?
Jordan
But you're so. You're so in and out with your neediness because, like, I'm always down to engage. And then you kind of, like, condition me to be, like, leave me alone. I just need to, like, be left alone. And then I get into that mode, and then you're, like, needy again, and then it's like, so I just don't know.
Danny
So you're saying I'm the problem. No, I get it. I.
Jordan
But honestly, there's nothing deeper this morning than we were running late to a school tour, and I didn't get to stop and get my coffee. And this is my first real cup.
Danny
Are you. Are you okay?
Jordan
No, I'm not.
Danny
I'm.
Jordan
I'm actually. I was feeling very hungry and very lethargic.
Danny
Why didn't you eat and get coffee here before we left?
Jordan
Well.
Danny
I was just curious, like. So is this, like, everybody else's fault, though?
Jordan
No, it's not everyone else. It's just, like, my ritual. Like, I feel the best when I wake up and I make the kids breakfast, and then I go get my coffee at Merit, and then I get this specific cup. The. The.
Danny
He didn't have his cup, ladies and gentlemen.
Jordan
The cup. And then it's like. I don't know if it's just me or it's like, placebo effect, but if I drink this coffee from Merit in this cup, then I feel more prepared for the day and excited about the day. And so it was like.
Danny
It is very interesting because we do make coffee from home, and we get the. Right now we've been drinking the death wish one.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
And so I drink a cup of that every morning. And Jordan, like, we have the coffee made, but we'll go and drive to Merit and get that cup of coffee, which I don't really care. It's totally fine with me if that's, like, built. I don't like a cup of coffee. Whatever. Like, you do you.
Jordan
It's my routine.
Danny
But what's hard is when, like, we are running late or, like, something is going on. It's usually, like, very early in the morning, like, we have to go to an appointment or we have to go to the airport or whatever. And, like, we're running late, and Jordan's like, I have to stop and get my cup of coffee. And I'm like, babe, this doesn't make sense today.
Jordan
I know, but then it's like. It's like a. It's like an itch. And then I, like, I can't scratch it, you know?
Danny
So you're.
Jordan
So Then I'm like, no, I. It's just. I don't know how to explain it. Like, these are. I can't be crazy. Like, surely people in the audience drink from the same cup of coffee every day.
Danny
Yeah.
Jordan
And it's, like, part of the ritual. It would be like, if I didn't. Oh, this is a great example. If I brush my teeth or Shower before bringing you your cup of coffee.
Danny
Yeah.
Jordan
It kind of throws off your morning. Right.
Danny
That's like a pregnancy thing. But yeah.
Jordan
Well, sure. But, like, still, you get what I'm saying?
Danny
Yeah. Because usually when I'm not pregnant, I'm like. I'm like, boing. I'm like, up, I think.
Jordan
So here's my best. I think that moms and dads have so much mental load that if they have to make decisions, it's kind of the same reason I wear the same thing every day. I think, too you are like Mark Zuckerberg, because the mental load of having to, like, think about.
Danny
Oh, no, sorry, Steve Jobs.
Jordan
Think about, like, what? Another decision on top of the all the other decisions. It overwhelms me.
Danny
Babe, you are appreciating to the choir about that.
Jordan
No, I know, I know. You understand.
Danny
That's why I honestly need my kids to go to private school. Because the thought of getting them dressed every single day for it, it gives me anxiety.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
Like, the thought that I have to, like, also go and, like, buy them so many new clothes. Like, my brother wear a uniform every day to school. And I. I, at the time, I was like, that's so lame. And like, like, loser. But. But, like, now I look back, I'm like, that's amazing that that took away. Like, they didn't even have to think about that. And they didn't. I would spend like an hour the night before I try on outfits for school the next day. But it was, like, so fun for me. Like, that was just. But for people that don't like it, like, that's horrible. It's miserable. I think every school should wear uniforms.
Jordan
I agree.
Danny
No matter, like, if it's like, public.
Jordan
Private, I think we should use. We're just. We should all wear the same thing in life.
Danny
It's kind of giving socialism a little bit.
Jordan
Socialism, Communism.
Danny
Communism, yeah.
Jordan
Dictatorship.
Danny
Socialism is when you're all paid the same. Yeah, communism is when. But socialism is like, when you're all treated the same.
Jordan
Socialism. Well, it's like you. You disperse the resources. The government. Yeah, the government does.
Danny
Yeah. So, like, we're equal. Like, everybody wears the same thing.
Jordan
Anyway, I want you to know that I am not disinterested in you. I'm just trying to kind of ride your vibes. And you're playing me hot and cold.
Danny
My vibes. The past 48 hours have been snuggle. 48 hours have been snuggle. Have been. Do you want to go get a massage with me? Have been wake up in the morning, give you a hug, have been at night, me opening up to you and telling you that I feel sad. And I cried. So I've been actually very emotionally available for the past 48 hours.
Jordan
You cried. When you cried, it was so. It was so hormonal. Can we just agree on that? It was hormonal. And I don't know if you knew this, but, like, you were like, I feel like I just need to cry. And then you were, like.
Danny
So hard.
Jordan
You were, like, trying so hard to cry. And you were like.
Danny
Really? I didn't feel that way. Drugs.
Jordan
It's like you just wanted it to flow because the, like, it was just. It was so pent up. It was just pent up. Like you just needed a good cry.
Danny
I thought you were gonna talk about the fact that you put that crown on me.
Jordan
Oh, no. Yeah, I did put a princess crown because she kept, like. I don't know. You asked me, like, to do seven different.
Danny
Oh, yeah.
Jordan
I would, like, sit down. You'd be like, can you give me a Stanley? And then I would sit down, and then you'd be like, I never made.
Danny
I. I asked you before. You on.
Jordan
Yeah, but I found Stella's princess crown and I put it on her head. And that's when you said, I just feel like I need to cry. So she was just crying with the snack in her hand. The princess crown. It was great. I should. I should have videoed that. That was. That was just.
Danny
You would have laugh, really video, like, life anymore, which is kind of annoying.
Jordan
Oh, I'm so sorry.
Danny
Yeah, Used to video a lot of stuff. You know, we pioneered the my wife thing back on tik tok in 2021. Yeah, 2020.
Jordan
I don't think it was called that.
Danny
But yeah, no, you would be like, my wife is crazy. Like, and you would film me around the house on Tik Tok. And that's actually how we grew our Tik Tok to be like, I think we had, like, 100,000 followers. Like, and that was all you just posting every night. Do you remember that?
Jordan
I remember that.
Danny
I. I didn't even know I had a Tik Tok.
Jordan
It was like, gambling.
Danny
Yeah. And every night you'd be like, babe, I just gained 20, 000 followers.
Jordan
Like, well, what I. What I would do is I would take all these clips of you on my phone and I would just post them.
Danny
Yeah.
Jordan
And then. Then I had to, like, figure out the caption.
Danny
This is when Tick Tock was, like, singing, like.
Jordan
Yeah, singing. And Dancing. Anyway, I care about you, and I think after this, you want to go on a walk.
Danny
Babe, if you cared about me, you would film me more.
Jordan
I feel like you're getting into this, like, stage of pregnancy where you're just, like, a little crazy, and I'm just. I'm kind of starting to get scared.
Danny
I know. Me too. I'm scared of myself.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
I mean, I can't control anything anymore.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
I'm out of control.
Jordan
But the good news, you did great in the. The parent interview at the school.
Danny
Thank you so much. So, yeah, so we just got done with that, and that's why I have a little bit of makeup on. Of course, you know, I was in a cute outfit, and I. I immediately got home and put on my sweats, which people always ask me about my sweats. All my sweats are from Aerie. It's the offline brand. I go up to a large when I'm pregnant, but usually I'm. I do mediums. If y' all were curious.
Jordan
What else has been on your mind lately? That little pregnancy brain.
Danny
I'm just, like, hungry all the time, so that's been a lot of my guys.
Jordan
Yesterday, I caught Danny eating.
Danny
Oh, yeah.
Jordan
A bagel. And she's. But she was dipping it in spinach dip.
Danny
It wasn't good.
Jordan
And I asked her, why are you eating a spinach dip? And she said, we didn't have any cream cheese.
Danny
It was bad. It was really bad.
Jordan
And also, the thing about, like. And it's cool. I don't want you to change anything. You do you right now. Yeah, but when you eat right now, like, I gave you that. You. You wanted that breakfast sandwich, so I handed it to you. And you don't, like. You're just like. It's like giant bites.
Danny
I'm that girl now.
Jordan
You're that girl.
Danny
Oh, no.
Jordan
And then you're like. And then you're, like, holding your phone, and you want me to watch some, like, talking food video, and you've got, like. Like, a cheese biscuit in your mouth, and you're like, I don't understand. Why don't you want to watch?
Danny
So you're saying I. You're not attracted to me anymore?
Jordan
I thought I just. I was like, dang.
Danny
And I'm, like, breathing really heavy because, like, I can't.
Jordan
In normal times, if I was eating a. A bagel with spinach dip, you'd be like, you're disgusting.
Danny
I know. I know. But I. I did only try it. I tried it, and then I was like, oh, this isn't good, babe.
Jordan
Trying it as one bite. I saw at least three.
Danny
No, I didn't do more than one.
Jordan
Use it more. Maybe not more than two.
Danny
No, I really didn't. Because it wasn't good. Yeah, I. Maybe. Maybe it's possible. No, I. Because I bought these bagels, and they were. They're from sprouts, and they're really soft, and, like, they were. They had the. Everything but the bagel seasoning on them. And, you know, I'm just. I haven't had a bagel in a long time, and I was, like, really scared they were gonna start to expire, so. So I was like, I better eat this. And so. But, yeah, we didn't have. And so the only butter we have is, like, so hard that you have to, like, really spread it out. And it just wasn't working for me. So I just went back to the fridge. I was like, what else is white that would work for this?
Jordan
Spinach dip.
Danny
Spinach dip. I did have a cashew dip. I probably should have done that.
Jordan
Yeah. So then. So, like, the series. The actual series of events last night was like. We talked about what you were doing with the spinach dip and the bagel, and then you were. I sat back on the couch, and then you were like, I want you to watch these talking food videos. And I kind of was just like, she can't get. Like, she's just. She's pregnant and she's hungry. I don't want to watch these talking food videos. I thought it was, like, specific to your pregnancy. And then. And then you got mad at me, and I was like, I wasn't actually mad at you. No, you weren't actually mad at me. But, like, it's all. Everything is so food related.
Danny
Oh, is it?
Jordan
Yeah, sort of.
Danny
January energy is always funny to me because everyone suddenly wakes up and is like, this is my year. Everyone dives into the new things that they think they will do. And I actually did a really good job keeping up my New Year's resolution last year, which was to text people.
Jordan
Back, you've been so much better than.
Danny
Thank you.
Jordan
You've been so much better. But most of the time, I feel like we all just kind of procrastinate in doing them.
Danny
Exactly. But I do think January is the one time of year where people actually pause and ask, okay, what am I doing with my life? And usually the answer is, I've been sitting on an idea for way too long.
Jordan
It's so important. I find that we don't Talk ourselves out of them. Why are you laughing?
Danny
Because we have so many, like, things that we've, like, trademarked that we never did anything.
Jordan
No, not that many.
Danny
Oh, I have a few.
Jordan
I feel like we've got really good at, like, committing to the things that we say we're going to do.
Danny
Yeah. But it is wild because if we waited until we knew everything before starting Divi, Divi would not exist.
Jordan
Not. Not even a little bit. We had. We had a lot of vision, we had a lot of opinions, and we honestly had zero experience, like, actually building a business in this realm.
Danny
And honestly, if you think back, Shopify is the only reason that Divi ever became a real thing instead of just a dream that we talked about at dinner. The second that we built the site, it was like, oh, wait, this is actually legit right now.
Jordan
It was just me and you in Stratton Unborn Stratton's nursery and saying, we're gonna turn this idea into something big.
Danny
And I think what scares people the most is about. I think what scares people the most is making it real. But Shopify makes that first step so much less intimidating. You don't need to be, like, a tech person. You don't need a full team. You don't need to know how to code. I remember we launched it and, like, it was just. And me on the sofa.
Jordan
Yeah. And it's like, honestly, most of the time we were working on it too. It was after hours. So, like, anyone who's wanting a side hustle can, like, build this on the weekends or at night or before their kids go to bed. It makes kind of starting a business online pretty easy.
Danny
Yeah. And can we talk about how much easier they've made the actual selling part, like, shop Pay alone? I don't think people realize how much smoother check checkout makes a difference.
Jordan
Yeah. And people. What's really crazy about it is people prefer it too. People prefer to use shop pay. Like, the conversion on that versus any other payment method is, like, way up.
Danny
And the back end. Because that was something that always kind of confused me and overwhelmed me. Like, I didn't even want to deal with it at all because it felt like so much. Like the only thing I could ever think of is, like, when I was trying to change my MySpace colors, you know, or Zango website. It was, like, so crazy. But what's so cool about the app is it has everything in one place. Orders, inventory, analytics. Super easy to digest. You're not juggling like, a million logins trying to remember where Everything lives, which I love.
Jordan
I love that back end. I had to, to wean myself off the back end because I got a little too deep into it. All those little ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. Every time an order came in, we'd.
Danny
Be like, oh, Hawaii.
Jordan
Yeah. You kind of gotta. You gotta. At a certain point, you gotta zoom out and be like, okay, okay. Yeah, I shouldn't look at this as much as I do.
Danny
But it has been nice to see how it kind of grows with our lifestyle. Or sometimes we really want to be more involved and sometimes we want to take a step back and it's so easy to do. So whether you're testing, like a small idea or you're building something big, you're not going to outgrow it.
Jordan
Yeah, I don't think we'll ever get off Shopify. I mean, we've been on it since day one and, like, we've had to upgrade it and, like, get new themes and stuff, but we'll forever be on Shopify. I think everyone is.
Danny
Yeah, it's like everybody's on Shop.
Jordan
Everybody's on Shopify.
Danny
Um, so if you're listening to this and there's something that you've been saying, okay, one day I'll do this. This is your gentle push. January is the moment to stop overthinking and just start.
Jordan
Because, trust us, no one ever feels ready.
Danny
Yeah, you just start and then you figure out as you go, yeah, you.
Jordan
Just have one kid, then you have two kids, you have three kids, you have four kids, then you have two companies, and here we are. We're never ready. Jordan

Danny
Like, what does it sound like again?
Jordan
Just tell me I'm not doing this, please. I just miss every time it's the same.
Danny
Well, really like that, though.
Jordan
You asked me that after. I do it every time, too.
Danny
I don't believe that it was actually like that.
Jordan
Yes, it is.
Danny
It's not more like. Like that? Or, like. Wait, like. Or. Hold on.
Jordan
No, it's not that. That's not that bad.
Danny
Okay, so it's more like. Is it like mouth breathing?
Jordan
No, it's. It's in the throat for sure.
Danny
Like that?
Jordan
Yeah, but a little bit. A little bit rumble.
Danny
Really?
Jordan
Yes.
Danny
Wait, like that?
Jordan
Yeah, it's.
Danny
Wait, was it that level of loudness?
Jordan
Yes. Yes. It wakes me up.
Danny
Can you film me next time I'm doing it?
Jordan
No.
Danny
Why? So you don't love me? I'm telling you, if you love me, you would film me snoring.
Jordan
I mean, this is. This is crazy. Like, you're being crazy to hundreds of thousands of people right now, and they're gonna support me because you're being. You're being a crazy person.
Danny
It's not the first I've been called crazy. One other thing. Do I snore all night or is it, like, for increments?
Jordan
I don't know, because I fall back asleep. It seems pretty consistent.
Danny
I know. I can feel that.
Jordan
Yeah. I mean, you want me to get you, like, a CPAP machine or whatever they're called?
Danny
No, it only happens at the end of my pregnancy. Right.
Jordan
Yeah, you could. You could do the mouth tape, but I don't. I don't know.
Danny
I'm scared I won't be able to breathe. That mouth tape seems dangerous.
Jordan
Yeah. I mean, don't do that. You're probably not supposed to do that. Pregnant, I don't know, maybe needs oxygen or something.
Danny
I just. Yeah. I don't know. I don't trust. Just my nose.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
Just the nostrils. Okay, well, will you please just film me next time and I'm sorry. I'm being crazy and.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
Yeah. Please don't wake me up, though, if. I'm sorry.
Jordan
Okay.
Danny
I just really need to sleep because I actually wake up, like, every other hour. I'm, like, shocked. It is probably from my own snoring, but I just. I do only snore when I'm pregnant. I just want everybody to know that.
Jordan
Yeah, no, I know.
Danny
It's because the. The uterus is now so big. It's a balloon. It's pushing all my organs up and I don't get any more air in.
Jordan
I know you can't breathe I know.
Danny
You can't sleep I can't breathe, no, I can't sleep so barely hanging.
Jordan
I don't know. But all things considered, once again, I'm.
Danny
Torn into pieces can't deny it, can't defend Just thought you were the one. What song is that? Is it just. Is it Ashley Simpson?
Jordan
It's Ashley Simpson.
Danny
Or is it JoJo? Okay.
Jordan
All things Considered. I do think you're doing great, though.
Danny
Thank you, babe.
Jordan
Like, I don't feel like you're. You're not sad.
Danny
I am talking to my therapist tomorrow.
Jordan
Oh, really?
Danny
I do feel a little sad sometimes.
Jordan
Oh, you are?
Danny
That's why I cried the other night, because. Yeah, there's nothing I'm sad about.
Jordan
Okay, that's good.
Danny
I probably just be. I'm probably sad that I just eat and snore all the time. That's probably the main thing.
Jordan
Well, it's. We're at the tail end.
Danny
I know. We're so close. We're just like. We just. We just need to make it through this. This ice storm, this Texas ice storm, which, you know, you know me, I love stuff like this. I love it. You know me. I just love. Whenever it's like.
Jordan
She loves a good Lord of the.
Danny
Flies moment, the little daylight savings, like, what's going to happen? It's like, the unpredictability and, like, we're all in it together.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
I just love it. But I really do hope everybody stays safe out there. I do feel like, because we had this happen in 2021, that I feel like people are more like, like, prepared and more aware of, like, hey, don't do this. Or do this, do this. And so I am hoping that more people stay safe. But besides that, I'm just kind of excited, you know? I'm like. Everybody's, like, dreading it. They're like, what are we going to do? I'm like, are you kidding me? This is what life is all about.
Jordan
I. I don't know if I'm being naive. I.
Danny
You don't believe it.
Jordan
I don't believe it.
Danny
I know. It's the media. They've just now. We don't trust anything.
Jordan
And the reason I don't believe it is on Twitter X they rolled out this new feature where they're Trying to get people to read long form content and they're paying like a ton of money.
Danny
Pay me.
Jordan
So. So all of these, like, hobbyist meteorologists are writing these like, doomsday articles about the storm. And that's why I don't believe it.
Danny
Because I'm like, they're being like, over the top.
Jordan
They're. People are acting like the world is going to be over on Sunday.
Danny
Well, people are saying it's supposed to be, like, way worse than 2021.
Jordan
But didn't they say that in 2021?
Danny
Okay, 2021, we actually, like, my theory is that so bad on our part because we were in Tulum, but, like, we really didn't know that it was gonna happen. Like, we literally went to Tulum because I was like, postpartum and it was like our first trip away from Stella, and everybody in our life was like, yoko, you deserve it. And so we're like, literally in Tulum and it's like the most dangerous ice storms back. And then we got stuck in Tulum. So then we're like, oh, we're stuck. And everybody's like, oh, crime your river. And I'm like, I know, it's a horrible look. It really was like, I'm not gonna lie, that was like a PR. Freaking nightmare. Anyway. But. So, yeah, this time we're. We're here. But why was I talking about this?
Jordan
You were talking about it because people are saying it's going to be worse than.
Danny
Oh. So, yeah, we don't really know because we weren't here. So we don't really know how bad it was.
Jordan
Yeah. So, yeah, I just. My theory. When do we watch the Weather Channel.
Danny
When something bad happens?
Jordan
When there's like, tornadoes coming.
Danny
You think the Weather Channel is just trying to capitalize off this?
Jordan
They're on cloud nine right now. They're like, our viewership is up. Like, because honestly, if it's a bad storm, I'm gonna be streaming the Weather Channel all day.
Danny
But you won't have the channel because the power will be out.
Jordan
No, I think that they bolstered the grid, at least in Texas.
Danny
Well, I guess we'll see about that.
Jordan
We'll see.
Danny
But anyway, I mean, have you winterized our home yet? You know, I've been sending you all of those reels and tick tocks. You don't. That's another thing. You never reply to my texts. It's like, I feel. I feel like I love you more than you love me. Oh, it's funny because he said that same thing.
Jordan
To me. And you. Literally. I go, I said that to her this morning on the way to the school tour. And I go. And I was, like, kind of kidding. I was like, I feel like you love me or I love you more than you love me. And you go, I'm not playing this game with you right now.
Danny
I go, babe, I'm not playing this game.
Jordan
You go, I'm not playing this game with you right now. Like, and you go, you know what? You don't understand.
Danny
You always try to hold my hand when I'm doing something.
Jordan
Yeah. Like, you're, like. You always are trying to, like, hand me coffee when I'm busy. Like, hold my hand whenever I'm busy. And then you go. And then you go, you know what? Like, you may have, like, a lot of intellect, but you're spatially dumb.
Danny
I did not say the word dumb, babe. I would never call you dumb.
Jordan
He said I was spatially ignorant.
Danny
No, inept, I think.
Jordan
Spatially inept.
Danny
Wait, let me.
Jordan
So then I literally stopped talking to you. And then I was like, I'm just gonna, like, text Natasha from Divi. And then you're like, who are you texting? And what is more important than what I'm about to tell you? I want you to watch this video of Fernando Mendoza, who I told you about. You didn't even watch the national championship.
Danny
I'm exaggerating right now. Okay?
Jordan
So.
Danny
But let me just clear the air. Okay. This morning, Jordan, like, was trying to hold my hand when I was putting on my seatbelt, and I'm like, this is so annoying because I'm trying to put my seatbelt on. And I was like, babe, I love you. Like, I want to hold your hand, but, like, why are you always try to do things for me when I'm busy? And then he goes, I feel like you. I love you more than you love me. And I'm like, babe, I'm not playing this game. I go, you're just. You're just spatially inept. And then I was like, no.
Jordan
And you drilled down, and you were like, do you think that you are spatially inept? And you were like. I was like, I don't think it's that deep, Danny. And you go, no. Sometimes I feel like you want to hold my hand so that. Because I'm busy. So that you can be the victim because I'm putting on my seatbelt. I was like, you know what? I was like, I'm. I could get mad right now, but I was like, this is so crazy. I'M just gonna ignore it and text the text.
Danny
Okay, so Jordan says I'm actually being real about this.
Jordan
Psycho.
Danny
Jordan does. Okay, Jordan does have this thing, like, when we go to the mall or we go to the airport or something. Like, he is, like, not spatially aware of, like. It's like, you know, being, like, socially aware is, like, a thing, but, like, spatially aware of people. So, like, we'll have this stroller, and Jordan will stop in the middle of the hallway, like, and people, like, literally can't get by, and he is, like, in a la la land. And I'm always like, babe, can you move? Like, people are trying to walk by. Like, and you. You block things off, like, all the time. Like, you just. It's like, you only can see forward. Like, not how, like, you're spatially affecting other. Other people. So this is a thing that he does when he brings me coffee in the morning, which is so sweet, and I so appreciate it, but I'm literally, like, under the covers, and I'm, like, cuddling, you know? And every morning, he'll come and stand next to my bed and just hold it out to me instead of putting it next to my bed. Okay, so. Which means I have to, like, get out of the covers and accept the. Accept the coffee when I'm like, you could just put it down, and I'll get it when I, like, get up, you know? But he has to stand there, and I'm like. Sometimes I feel like you want. Like, you're. You're like, look at me. I'm bringing you something, and you want me to feel uncomfortable in order to receive it. So this is another thing, y'. All. I. I am not kidding you. Like, I will get in the car. And, like, you know when you have, like, a. Like, bajillion things in your hands, like your purse, whatever, your jacket, and you're getting in the car to, like, put your seatbelt on. Like, when I'm in the middle of all that, Jordan will put out his hand to hold my hand, and I'm like, I literally have no hands right now. Why are you doing this to me? And then I feel like sometimes he does it to be rejected, to be the victim. So then when he said that this morning, and he's like, I feel like you don't love me. I was like, it. It meant so much more because I was like, you do this to yourself. Like, you. You. You want to hold my hand when you know I can't hold your hand? Like, you do that.
Jordan
No, I don't you're literally. You need to go to the loony bin. You're a psychopath.
Danny
You do that, though, baby. You always try to hold my hand when I'm like, but why, babe? Like, I'm writing a check right now. Or like, I was like, I'm writing a check.
Jordan
I'm writing a check. Where's your checkbook?
Danny
Or I'm, like, trying to put my seatbelt. Or like, my hands are so full. And you're like, but I don't. Oh, you did that last night, too, when I got. Oh, my God. When I was getting in bed, you know, like, you're getting in bed. Like, you're getting the covers, and you're just getting them just right. And, like, I'm about to get in bed, and, like, Jordan throws his hand at me to hold my hand. I'm like, how am I gonna hold your hand while I also get in bed? This is impossible. And then I had to reject you. I'd be like, babe, can you give me a second? Like, let me get situated, and then I'll hold your hand. But see, I feel like you like that. I feel like you like the fact that I have to say no, because then you get to get in the car and say you don't love me as much as I love you.
Jordan
It's like, the reason I just stopped talking to you is I was like, I can't.
Danny
Am I making sense, though? Am I making sense? Yeah, See, I'm making sense. It's like. It's like a thing. Guys, I just time that you see Jordan at the mall. Watch how he walks. He literally thinks he owns a place. He will walk and just stop in the middle. And, like, some people will be looking at something, and he'll just walk right in front of them. And, like, he's really not trying to do that. He's just so spaciously inept. It's so funny. Unaware. Spatially unaware.
Jordan
That's what I. Oh, my gosh. It's just so, like. I don't. It's like. It's patient. It's like, when she's done, we'll hold hands.
Danny
Oh, my God. It's, like, so cringy for me. Like, especially because sometimes when you're holding out your hand, it, like, gets in the way, and I have to, like, push it away. And then I'm like, you're asking for this. Like, you. You want me to push you away? You know?
Jordan
Why would I want that?
Danny
I don't know. I think you. You like being the victim.
Jordan
I don't feel like the victim.
Danny
You don't feel like the victim?
Jordan
No.
Danny
I don't care. You love me more than I love you.
Jordan
I mean, I was, like, kind of kidding.
Danny
We need to stop laughing. It's not funny.
Jordan
It is funny. It might be one of those things that's just funny to us.
Danny
Yeah. Is it relatable? Like, I don't know, do other husbands do this?
Jordan
All right. I had one of those moments recently where I realized how disconnected everything can feel. You know, when you actually slow down for a second? Maybe you're outside walking, traveling, or just away from screens, and you remember what it feels like to be in your body again. And then you go back to real life, open the pantry, and it's just chaos. Powders, supplements, labels you don't trust, ingredient lists that feel like a guessing game. That's where the idea of simplifying nutrition really clicked for me, because nutrition shouldn't feel like the hunger Games. You shouldn't need a chemistry degree to know whether something is helping you or quietly working against you. That's what drew me to cachava. It's an all in one nutrition shake built around the idea of clean inputs. No nonsense. Cachava is designed to support your whole body in one simple step. It covers energy with key vitamins and minerals, digestion with fiber, probiotics and enzymes, strength with plant based protein and electrolytes, metabolism with B vitamins and minerals, cognition with essential nutrients for your nervous system and immune support with things like vitamin C and zinc. It's not about replacing everything else. It's about filling nutritional gaps in a way that actually makes sense. And it's also just incredibly easy. Two scoops, blend it up and you're done. There are six flavors. Chocolate, vanilla, chai, matcha, coconut, acai and strawberry. And people get creative with it. Nut milk, frozen fruit, peanut butter, iced coffee. Cachava even has a whole kitchen of recipes. If you want to mix things up without overthinking it, what stands out is the quality. No artificial flavors. No artificial colors or sweeteners. No soy, no gluten, no animal products. Just thoughtfully sourced ingredients that fuel wherever your day takes you. It's nutrition that feels intentional instead of overwhelming. Rewild your nutrition@kachava.com and use code Danny Austin. New customers get $20 off an order of two bags or more now through the 31st. That's Kachava. K A C H A V A.com code DannyAustin.

Okay, here's something I've been thinking about. A lot lately. Cleaning products are one of those things we use every single day without really thinking about them. Our kitchen counters, our laundry, the floors the kids crawl on. It all adds up. And with a new year here, I've been really asking myself a simple but important question. Do I actually know what I'm bringing into our home and how it might affect how we feel? That's a big reason why I've become so passionate about Branch Basics. It's a female founded brand that completely changed the way we think about cleaning. A lot of products look clean, but still contain ingredients linked to hormone disruption, skin irritation and respiratory issues. And most brands don't even have to list everything inside. Branch Basics does the opposite. Total transparency, plant and mineral based ingredients, and it's safe for babies, pets and the whole family. What really sold me is how simple it is. Their premium starter kit comes with one powerful concentrate that replaces basically everything. Laundry detergent, bathroom cleaner, glass cleaner, even a produce wash. I was honestly shocked by how effective it is. It made cleaning feel less overwhelming and way more intentional. Especially, especially during the reset season or now that I'm nesting. As a mom, peace of mind matters so much to me. Knowing what I'm using in our home is human, safe, biodegradable and actually works has made such a difference. It's one of those swaps that feels small but has a huge impact on your everyday life. And once you make it, you don't want to go back. And here's the good news. Branch Basics is now available everywhere you shop. @Target, Target.com Amazon and of course Branch Basics.com tossing the toxins has never been more convenient. And. And for anyone grabbing the premium starter kit, you can still get 15% off@ branch basics.com with our code Danny. Just use Danny for 15% off the premium starter kit@ branch basics.com after you purchase. When they ask where you heard about them, please make sure to mention our show. I'll say it again because this one really matters. Branch Basics is available@target target.com Amazon branchbasics.com and you can get 15 off the premium starter kit@branch basics.com with co code Danny. Just use codes Danny for 15 off. Do you realize that you do that with the stroller though sometimes? Like, come on. Like really? I. I just like I want to.
Jordan
I think there's a specific moment.
Danny
No, there's so many.
Jordan
No, no. There's a specific moment in the past week that you are thinking of. I remember it. We were on 12 South. We were in that one store on 12 South. And I remember because you go, jordan, you left the stroller in the middle of the people are trying to get. Do you remember that store? It had the little leopard seats.
Danny
Yes. But you had done. It was at Alice, Olivia. Okay. And, like, my mom. We're all there, like, looking at the clothes, and Jordan walks in and literally blocks the entire hallway to walk in with our stroller and walks and goes and sit down. I'm like, I. I would never. Like, I would. I'm, like, so awake. Like, it's like. It's, like, annoying how aware I am of, like, my spatial surroundings. Like, I would tuck this stroller off. Like, I. Honestly, there's a part of me that would probably fold it up so people felt more comfortable. And, like, every single store was, like, the size of a shoebox. And we'd open the door, and Jordan would be, like, ramming the stroller inside. Like. Like. Like, we were, like, every single store that we walked into, people were like.
Jordan
Whoa, it was a double stroller.
Danny
It's hard, I know, but see, what I would have done is left the stroll outside and have the kids just walk through the door with me. But you know what? I didn't even say that because I'm such a good wife. And I didn't. I didn't complain, but I thought about it.
Jordan
That's where you think you're the victim is you're always like, see, I didn't even say anything. But then you always end up saying it. And then you're like, jordan, here's why I'm such a good wife is. I said it to you once, but I wanted to say it for 50 times. And so therefore, like, I'm not even nagging. Like, you have no idea. If you want me to show you naggy, I'll show you naggy. Like, you're the victim because you've just been bottling up these, like, stupid little things that bother you.
Danny
I. Silent off my chest now, you know? Yeah.
Jordan
Okay. Right.
Danny
Let's just take a deep breath.
Jordan
Oh, this is the last time. This is the last time. This last. No, this is the last time we ever have to go through this crazy pregnancy. We. I found a doctor. He's gonna snip it. We're done. We're gonna. We're gonna live a long, happy life with sanity from here on out. No more.
Danny
I don't remember what that looks like.
Jordan
I know. I think that that's the toxic urge in us to, like, be like, should we run it back again? Because this is the new normal for us.
Danny
Yeah. Just, just.
Jordan
It's like we don't. It's like we don't want peace.
Danny
I feel that we're 30 minutes in. Should we get to the script?
Jordan
Do you have anything else you want to get off your chest? Now's the time. It's. For some reason, this is always the time.
Danny
Yeah. No, I think I'm good.
Jordan
You think you're good?
Danny
I have told you not to wear the vest with us before, and you just do it despite me. And I know it. I know it. I know that you just do it.
Jordan
That one is true.
Danny
I know you just do it to say I'm in control and you're not, but it's okay. You know what? I thought about it and I didn't say anything, so I'm a really good wife.
Jordan
That one is so true.
Danny
I have told you that that vest does not go with that sweatshirt.
Jordan
I really think it does, though. It is so comfortable to wear this vest with this sweatshirt.
Danny
No, it does. It works for, like, everyday, like, hangout life. But you were going to a school, like, interview.
Jordan
So I can be wearing it now.
Danny
Yeah, it's just funny because I told you not to. Yeah, but no, it's cool. Like, I don't care what you. I don't care what you wear, like, you know, around the house and stuff. It was a school interview. That's what I was like. You know, but every time I look at you, I do, I am reminded.
Jordan
That might be a subconscious thing, that I did do it. Because I, I, I really could have grabbed anything.
Danny
I know, I know. I know how you are. You know, you act like I'm the crazy one all the time, but I know we all know the truth. I know the truth. Oh, the truth will come out. Anyway. Yeah, let's talk about Fernando Mendoza. I know I didn't watch the game. I did watch the beginning of it, but I don't really need to watch the game because I can watch all the highlights on, yeah, Instagram.
Jordan
The way you posted on your Instagram story, though, it made it seem like you watched the game. I just want you to know that.
Danny
No, it didn't. I literally said, this is the coolest, craziest play I've ever seen.
Jordan
Yeah, I know, but it was, like, vague enough to where. It's like you stayed up with your husband, watched the game, and you didn't.
Danny
I really didn't. I don't. I wasn't insinuating that at all.
Jordan
Okay.
Danny
No, I was literally just. I had seen that clip. And I was like, this is the craziest, coolest play I've ever.
Jordan
I know. And then you fall in love with Fernando Mendoza. And I. Before you went to bed, before the game, I was like, you got to go watch interview clips.
Danny
I know. I actually think. I think I did in bed that night. And then I, like, fell in love with him. And then I woke up the next morning, I was like, look at what my little Fernie did.
Jordan
Yes.
Danny
Yes.
Jordan
And so from my perspective, I was like, you didn't know who he was when you went to bed.
Danny
Why? Why does it matter? Are you being such a hater?
Jordan
No, I'm not. I'm not. He's a great guy.
Danny
So then I was like, yeah, I was like, we have to name our new child Fernando. Did you see how he called his mommy? Like, mommy and poppy, like, not. I know it wasn't like, m O, m m y. But he like. Because I guess they're. What are they? Italian?
Jordan
Cuban, Probably Italian. Cuban, probably Italian.
Danny
What is he, Italian.
Jordan
I think Mendoza is probably Italian. Sorry, we have a fill in producer today. She's a little slower.
Danny
Oh, I was right. Cuban.
Jordan
Normal producer said he found cheap flight tickets. Took a trip to New York during an arctic tundra.
Danny
We're like, I wonder why they're so cheap. I Wonder why it's $67 to New York. We won't see you for a week.
Jordan
Yeah, he'll be gone for a while.
Danny
Yeah. So he's.
Jordan
Wait, he's what, Cuban?
Danny
Yeah, he's Cuban. So he calls his mommy like, mom, like. Like how I. How I call Stella. My mom always called me mom.
Jordan
Oh, he's from Miami. That makes sense. From Miami.
Danny
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Sweet baby. I think every. I think every mom right now is like, how do I raise a son like that?
Jordan
Every female. It's not like it doesn't seem like they're like, attracted to him. They're more just like, I love you.
Danny
In like a. I want you to do well. I want. I want the best for you. It's like, I don't want to make out with you, but I want to see you making out with somebody lovely. I want. It's like theoban. Like, I want you to have a really hot girlfriend. I don't want to be the girlfriend, but I want you to be happy.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
Like you deserve.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
A hottie or a sweetie. I can't wait to see who. Fernando. Like, I feel like I could see him, like, dating someone famous.
Jordan
Oh, for sure.
Danny
Who do. Who would we, like, want ship with Fernando. Let me think. I would have loved, like, Selena Gomez and Fernando.
Jordan
Oh, that's so random.
Danny
Like OG Selena Gomez, huh? You know, when she was a little bit more normal.
Jordan
I mean, like a hadid.
Danny
What? No.
Jordan
Okay, stupid. No, stupid.
Danny
You know, like. Like maybe like one of the Fanning sisters. Elle Fanning.
Jordan
Huh? Oh, interesting.
Danny
You know? Yeah, let me think.
Jordan
What about, like, a supermodel?
Danny
No, no, no, no, no. Oh, no, no, he's not. He.
Jordan
He.
Danny
It. There's got to be. It's got to be something with depth maybe. Like, Let me think. Who's single these days that we, like. Oh, wait, no. I mean, I know this isn't gonna work out, but Kelsey Ballerini, she's probably a little too spicy for him, don't you think? Yeah, Sadie Robertson's already taken. Let's see. Let's just do single famous women. You know, it's funny. What's her name? The girl? Emma. Emma from Harry Potter? She did kind of cross my mind a little bit. Emma Watson.
Jordan
Oh, Emma Watson.
Danny
I thought about it.
Jordan
What about the girl from Landman? What's her name?
Danny
Susan Glenn Powell. Is she the blondie?
Jordan
Yeah. Or is that a rumor?
Danny
No, she really is.
Jordan
Oh, wow.
Danny
Yeah. No, she's taken. I don't know who. Who do y' all think? Floor. Florence. Who do you think Fernando should end up with?
Jordan
I think he's going to be like a. A superstar, because he's like. He's. He's clean cut. He's like a good guy. Like, as long as he doesn't got to fall to.
Danny
What do you think are, like, Hollywood things, like, dark sides. Like, what do you think he, like, struggles with? Because, like, I saw an interview of him and he. This was way before, and they were asking him, like, do you have a girlfriend? He's like, no, no, I don't have time for that. He's like, girlfriends, they take up a lot of your time. And, you know, I wake up and I'm at the gym and I'm at class until three, and then, you know, and then I have to do my homework until 5. And really, if I had a girlfriend, then she would take up that time until five and. And I just don't have time for that. It was, like, so, like, sweet and, like, logical. Like, he's like, practically. I wouldn't have time to talk to my girlfriend or something. Would have to give. And I was like, smart man. Oh, I just had somebody who? Kai Trump.
Jordan
That's really good. That's good. That's really good. That's probably your best friend.
Danny
I don't know if he could handle the family, though. But Kai seems so. Like, I don't want to do anything with politics. Like, I want to be in sports. Like, she seems so normal, and she's like. Like, wants to completely separate herself, but she also seems, like, really smart and sweet and whatever.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
And so.
Jordan
That'S pretty freaking good.
Danny
Yeah, that was good.
Jordan
You call it. You called it. If it happens, they have to come on here. I think Fernando would. Come on. We could break it down. Break Fernando on.
Danny
I think we have a better chance of getting Kai than we do Fernando right now.
Jordan
Probably.
Danny
Sweet, baby. Congratulations. Indiana Hoosiers.
Jordan
They did great.
Danny
Y' all did great. What have you been listening to? What have you been watching?
Jordan
What was that one show that I tried to get into, but I couldn't get into it? The Rip.
Danny
The Rip. I liked it. I watched it.
Jordan
Did you watch the whole thing?
Danny
Yeah, I was taking little naps here.
Jordan
And there, but, yeah, it was a solid, like, C for me. Just wasn't engaging. Did you like it?
Danny
It was okay. It's just like.
Jordan
What would. What would you rate it on? Rotten Tomatoes?
Danny
76.
Jordan
76. That's so specific.
Danny
Yeah, the RIP 76, to me is like, a movie worth watching, but it's, like, gonna be a movie that.
Jordan
Oh, it's got 81.
Danny
That was close.
Jordan
It just felt really cheap to me.
Danny
It did feel like a cheap.
Jordan
Like a cheap, like, cheap streaming, Netflix movie kind of thing.
Danny
Right, right, right. Oh, you should tell them about the sinners, because you've been obsessed with that movie.
Jordan
Oh, we watched, like.
Danny
Nominated for, like, 16 Oscars or something.
Jordan
14 Oscars. We avoided sinners for a long time.
Danny
Because we thought it was demonic. And we felt like we had enough to.
Jordan
Felt like we were just escaping the demons. We can't bring them back in.
Danny
It's really not.
Jordan
But it's not demonic. It's more vampirey.
Danny
There is one scene where the vampires are kind of, like, mocking the Lord's Prayer, and I didn't like that part.
Jordan
Well, and then I started praying on.
Danny
My own during that part.
Jordan
Yeah, there's one part where the vampire does, like, kind of become Lucifer a little bit. But anyway.
Danny
Yeah, but that part, I. That didn't scare me. It was like when you.
Jordan
It's more monster ish than it was.
Danny
When you mock, like, a prayer. I just. I can't get.
Jordan
But sinners top. Probably. Probably top 10 list for me of all.
Danny
You loved it.
Jordan
I Loved it so much. The music was so cool. I think anything to do with, like, the Mississippi Delta, like, true. What was that one with Matthew McConaughey? True Detective in, like, the Bayou.
Danny
We should watch that again.
Jordan
Like, season one of True Detective was so awesome. It's just such an interesting, like, part of America. And this was, like, set in the what? It was prohibition, so I would say.
Danny
Prohibition. What is that, like, 19? It's 20s, 30s.
Jordan
Yeah. Well, the roaring 20s. Yeah. Yeah. Prohibition. Yeah. So 1920s. The music was awesome.
Danny
Yeah.
Jordan
The, like, the cast was like. I mean, it had Michael B. Jordan and he's big, but everyone else was, like, pretty relatively, like, unknown.
Danny
Haley Steinfeld.
Jordan
Hailee Steinfeld was in it. And it just like, it was so unique, so creative.
Danny
Yeah.
Jordan
How many Oscars is it nominated for?
Danny
I. I think it was either 14 or 16.
Jordan
That's crazy. A lot. I don't. Yeah. I mean, the last Oscar nominee that I was like, that deserves it was Parasite.
Danny
Oh, did it win? That was a really good movie.
Jordan
That was like the last one where I was like, man, this movie deserves that. I also thought. What was that one movie we watched? I don't like endorse watching it, but it was like the. It was the movie about the stripper that be like, fell in love with that Russian guy.
Danny
Oh, it won a lot of awards, too.
Jordan
Yeah. What's that called?
Danny
It's her name or something.
Jordan
Yeah. Anora. I thought that, that, like, I. Again, I don't think people should just, like, watch it.
Danny
Yeah.
Jordan
But I thought it was like a very creative. Like, it's a take on, like, Cinderella story type of thing.
Danny
Yeah. And it just had a very. It's just like, very realistic and.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
Yeah.
Jordan
So I. Yeah. I mean, I really. I'm not saying you should watch Sinners, but it's not as, like, evil as I thought it was going to be.
Danny
Yeah, it's definitely like a movie that I'm not. I didn't have nightmares about and I did it, like. And it's mainly vampire stuff.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
But. But if you get spooked easily, I don't. I get really. I don't like anything. Anything demonic. Like, I won't watch. I don't watch, like, a lot of scary movies.
Jordan
I don't even like Horror Grudge or.
Danny
The Ring or Poltergeist. Like, I don't watch any of those. But when it's like vampire, I'm like, okay. It's like, not that scary.
Jordan
And then. Yeah, we don't even really like watching horror Trailers like when we go to.
Danny
The movies, we're like X that we don't need that demonic forces in our lives, no way. But yeah, it was good to watch. We watched that when we were in Nashville. Are you learning anything new?
Jordan
Oh, I'm learning so much.
Danny
Will you tell us? Because I just feel like my brain's kind of trying to rot. All I do is eat and sleep around here.
Jordan
I've been listening. Well, I listened to the entire three part series on the Punic wars by Dan Carlin.
Danny
You know what? I think you already told us about this hardcore history.
Jordan
Well, now I'm onto a book called SPQR.
Danny
Sounds amazing.
Jordan
It's like, it's about 800 pages and it's basically like the most in depth, like historical analysis on the Roman Empire. I'm sorry, am I boring you?
Danny
No, sorry.
Jordan
I'm having trouble making it through it, to be honest. But I'm going to power through through the book and then I'm going to read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
Danny
Oh, that's a good one.
Jordan
Well, the reason I'm learning about the Romanish Empire is because understand I'm, I'm. I've decided that my Q1, my topic of focus is going to be learning about early Christian history. So I'm starting, yeah, I'm starting with the Roman Empire and then I'm going to read the Gospels in the context of knowing like how ruthless they were and how protective of the state that they were because that's pretty much why they crucified Jesus, you know?
Danny
Yeah, yeah.
Jordan
And then, and then I'm gonna move into. There's like a couple other. Well, there's, there's one podcast, it's like kind of controversial. So I'm going to listen to that after.
Danny
Can we do it?
Jordan
I can. Oh, well, there's a, there's a podcast called Martyr Made.
Danny
Okay.
Jordan
And he's very. I've never listened to it, but he did this podcast series called Fear and Loathing in the New Jerusalem. And I don't know what it's about because it's later on my early Christian history list. But the reason that people don't like him because he's very similar to Dan Carlin where he's like, he talks about history but he gets a lot of flack because what I think he tries to do is understand wars from like the human perspective, like so seeing both sides and so he's kind of gotten labeled like, you know, all of these things of like apologists for Hitler and all these types of things because he was trying to, like, understand the war from the minds of the Germans.
Danny
And sometimes, like. Or how maybe the Germans didn't know everything. So what they were being fed, what the Nazis were being fed and what they're. It's the same thing with, like, some of the people that are fighting wars for America. Like, sometimes, like, they're like, we don't even really know why we're here. But you. But they labeled, you know, all of the soldiers in Vietnam as this and this and this. And in Vietnam, like, straight up, they're just like, we're just doing what we're told, you know?
Jordan
So he. I, I don't know. I. I haven't fully wrapped my brain around people, why people think he's controversial. I think it has a lot to do with, like, his World War II.
Danny
Stuff, but apparently, yeah, probably because he's talking about a different perspective.
Jordan
But people say when they listen to Fear and Loathing in the New Jerusalem, it, like, blew their minds. Like, they say it's, like, one of the best, like, series. And so I'm excited to make it to that. And I feel like I'm powering through SPQR just to, like, like, reach the carrot, because I don't want to go out of order. Like, I'm trusting the process.
Danny
Oh, I can't wait for you to tell me more.
Jordan
I know you're probably going to love it. And so it's funny because I thought I was going to need all year to learn about this, but I'm really powering through this stuff. So I might make it to, like, World War II by Q4.
Danny
That's the thing about Q1. It's like, we just. There's. There's a little extra free time there.
Jordan
There's a little extra free time, and.
Danny
Then you just wait till baby comes, you know? I'm doing a maternity leave.
Jordan
Really? How long?
Danny
Not that long. I get bored.
Jordan
I know.
Danny
And like, But.
Jordan
But the Divi team's like, well, we're giving Danny two months maternity leave. And I. I just laugh.
Danny
Well, the thing is, I will. I won't be like, I won't have requirements, but, like, I probably will be posting and creating content because, like, it's. It's something I love to do.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
But I won't have brands being like, where's. Where's this do? Where's this do? So it's like, if I don't want to do it, I don't have to do it. But I like creating because I feel like it Actually, like, keeps me sane.
Jordan
Yeah. That's just so, so sorry. How long are you gonna. How long are you saying it's gonna be? A month?
Danny
About a month.
Jordan
Yeah, but that's like, you're not saying like a month. No posting. You're saying like a month.
Danny
A month. I don't know what I'm gonna do. Like, I might not want to post for two weeks. I don't have to do anything.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
But I, and I. For a month, I won't have any requirements for, from any brand. But I've, I've started to notice after like five weeks if I have, like, if I work with a brand, like, if I do like one thing on a Tuesday, that's fine. Like, it gives me a little bit more like, purpose and just like, you.
Jordan
Know, I think for you and maternity leave, it's like the freedom to do what you want to do when you want to do it.
Danny
Yes.
Jordan
That's the most important.
Danny
Yeah. And I'm still feeling pretty rested from my life.
Jordan
Just generally in life, I would say that's a good principle that you like to live by.
Danny
Yeah, I don't. Yeah, I don't really.
Jordan
Like, it's like, it's like, it's like you, you're like, oh, I want to do this photo shoot, but the minute it goes onto the calendar.
Danny
No, I planned two photo shoots last week.
Jordan
I know, but you plan them.
Danny
I know.
Jordan
That's the thing is like, I was excited for them. You gotta be in that driver's.
Danny
Yeah, yeah. But, yeah, so I. We'll see. We'll see what happens. I might. I. I honestly am still feeling pretty rested for my last two month hiatus that I still feel like I'm like, very appreciative.
Jordan
Wasn't that long ago.
Danny
It was a year ago.
Jordan
Yeah. Not that long ago. Yeah, it feels like yesterday.
Danny
I still feel rested from that. So, like, I still feel excited to. To work. There's nothing that's like, weighs on me anymore.
Jordan
No, you're light. Light is a feather, baby.
Danny
Should we move on to like our first topic?
Jordan
Yeah, let's do it.
Danny
Okay. So have you seen this trend going around about 2016? Everybody's getting really nostalgic, posting and reminiscing of the old times from 10 years ago. It's been so crazy to look back on what's been happening and what it looked like. I posted one myself of us back in 2016. It is crazy to, to look back. But I have heard that, you know, everything on the Internet, it's like a Pendulum, it swings back and forth, back and forth. So I have heard, like, I follow a lot of, like, business accounts, like marketing advice accounts, you know, those type of things. But. And a lot of them are saying that the pendulum is now swinging from, okay, we had the phase of perfection and, you know, everything was very curated. And then the pendulum swung to I'm so relatable and relatability and just being, you know, true to yourself, whatever. And now the pendulum is now swinging back to more curated content and more like, art and just things that can really, like, grab your attention because people are feeling overwhelmed by all the quote unquote authenticity.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
And I, I feel that, like, I.
Jordan
Don'T feel like anything's authentic.
Danny
I. I don't feel like anything is authentic.
Jordan
No.
Danny
Like, and so it's, I think especially because consumers got so much smarter with like all the editing apps and like, they've started creating content too. Like, it's just like a thing that people do, like, as a hobby, you see how it's done. And so now when you see someone, like, wake up with me, am I like. Or get like my natural morning routine? It's like, we know how it went. And so now people are like, kind of swinging back to like the 2016. They want to see, like professionals doing cool things or they want to see, like, I wouldn't say like models again. Like, they still value authenticity but like, in a different way where it's not being like abused.
Jordan
It's kind of like how somewhere in the past, like two or three years, like if you were still trying to be like girl boss, like, it was kind of like, oh, man, this is like that era is over. It's feeling like this whole parasocial era is diminishing a little bit. Just, I think people are like, waking up like, oh, like, we're not, like, we're not like friends. Like I've never met you. You know, they're probably like, like they're like waking up in their own minds and they're probably just starting to appreciate the content that is more like, oh, this is like aspirational.
Danny
So I was reading too. I don't know if this is true or not, but like, social media use is like at an all time low right now.
Jordan
Is it?
Danny
Can you Google that? I. I did read that it is.
Jordan
For me, but I didn't know that was for other people. I mean, it's. I say it's for me, but like, I mean, my screen timeline.
Danny
Post less than they did five years ago. Yeah. So social. Yes. What. What source is that? Okay. Yeah, so I was reading. It's from BBC. They were saying that a third of the users post less than they did five years ago. And I don't know, I kind of feel that within, like, my own friends, like, I don't feel like my friends post as much. I feel like they're not getting, like, their information as much from social media. It does feel like the younger generation, it's not as, like, I don't know, like, addicting for. For them as we think it is. I think it's actually more addicting for, like, our parents.
Jordan
Yeah. And, like, boomers are gone.
Danny
I mean, my. I, like, I can't talk to my parents without them scrolling.
Jordan
Yeah, I know.
Danny
Like, it's so funny. And I would. If I'm, like, with a group of people, like, I. I forget about my phone. Like, I just, like, completely, because I. I just know it's not going to do what I think it's going to do for my brain, and it doesn't really get me going anymore. So, like, I'd much rather be in person. But, like, our parents are always, like, one step behind. Yeah. But I think it is still very addicting for millennials. I was talking to a couple girls on our team team, and they are saying that, like, millennials are still all over Facebook.
Jordan
Really?
Danny
Yeah.
Jordan
Millennials.
Danny
Yeah. Like, especially moms. Like, because the groups and stuff.
Jordan
Oh, the. Yeah, the Facebook groups.
Danny
Yeah. Wait, I would kind of love for Facebook to make a comeback. Just, like, spice it up a little bit.
Jordan
I don't think so.
Danny
Wait, why, though?
Jordan
It's like, honestly, and I know I sound so old, but for saying this, but, like, it's hard for me to navigate.
Danny
Like, Facebook is, like, a lot.
Jordan
It's kind of confusing. Like, I can't. I feel like I can't even log in.
Danny
I don't even know. Like, I have a. A Danny Austin page, and then I have, like, a personal page, and I. I don't even know how to switch between the two.
Jordan
I know. I can't figure it out.
Danny
They need to make it more, like, user friendly. Maybe our parents should teach us. Your mom's a master at Facebook.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
She could help us out.
Jordan
Yeah. She's got a lot of friends on Facebook.
Danny
She's, like, famous.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
On Facebook. Do you ever go and just stalk, like, random people from your past on Facebook? Just see what they're.
Jordan
No, I don't have Facebook. I can't figure out how to get in.
Danny
Oh, I deleted it because of all of Your controversial posts?
Jordan
No. How many controversial. No. I can't figure out how to get into my Facebook.
Danny
It's so funny.
Jordan
And I'll try, and then I'll just be like, I don't really care that much. And then it's like, linked to this like, like UT email address, and I'm like, it's gone.
Danny
Oh, it's gone.
Jordan
It's gone.
Danny
See, I. I would say, like once a month I go and like, stalk someone from my past, and I'm just like the most random person.
Jordan
Really.
Danny
Yeah.
Jordan
That's kind of what it's good for, though.
Danny
Yeah. And I'm just like, what are they up to? And there's this one guy.
Jordan
Do they. Are they posting still?
Danny
Yeah, some. Yeah. Yeah. There's this one guy from. From high school. I don't know if I'll say his name. He was.
Jordan
It never goes well.
Danny
True. But I'm actually having to say good things about him.
Jordan
But.
Danny
Okay. He was like the biggest pothead, like, at the time. And he was one of the kids that like, came to our high school kind of late. And he. He grew up in, you know, that, you know that neighborhood that's like North Dallas, that's gated. It's really close to where I grew up, but it was like all the rich kids or rich, like, states, like, huge. Okay, whatever. You don't know what I'm talking.
Jordan
No, I do know what you're talking about.
Danny
Okay. It was like, like, at me growing up, I was like, this is where, like, the celebrities live, you know?
Jordan
Anyway, you've showed me this. Neighbors.
Danny
He had a house in that neighborhood and it was like super modern. Looked like an elevator. Like, you know, back in like 20, you know, 2010, 2009, like, it was like really crazy. And he got transferred from private school to like, our school. And he. His parents were never home. So we had so many parties at his house, like, and we. People would just like, trash his house. Like, the whole football team would show up, like, anyway. But he. Because he was rich, he would always get everybody weed. I didn't smoke weed back then, but, like, he was just kind of known for that. So I was just like, I got to see what this guy's up to because, like, he's just so. It's. I have to know. And he is like, he has like four kids, like, super normal. Was like, all his kids were like, dressed in like these smocked dress, like, super preppy, like, has his life together. Had like a super legit job. And this was like the one guy in high school that I was like, he's gonna end up on the streets.
Jordan
Dang.
Danny
You know, so sometimes it's not the typical high school story. You love that I know as I love. I love a happy ending.
Jordan
You love to hear it.
Danny
Yeah.
Jordan
He's good for him.
Danny
I wish I could say his name, but no, I won't. Yeah. So back in the the.
Jordan
Do you ever get any messages from people from your past? Facebook. You ever check those?
Danny
I never look at this. Yeah, my mom runs into a lot of my friends, parents at the gym because they still live in the same neighborhood. And she'll tell me that they talk about me sometimes.
Jordan
Good, bad, both.
Danny
You never.
Jordan
It's a mixed bag.
Danny
You never know. 2016, cultural moments. Donald Trump elected the first term Pokemon Go craze. Oh, remember how dangerous that was?
Jordan
Pokemon Go.
Danny
Yeah. Remember, like, people were, like, falling off cliffs?
Jordan
Oh, yeah.
Danny
Trying to follow the Pokemon.
Jordan
Wow. Was that 2016? We were in Colorado 10 years ago.
Danny
Beyonce dropped Lemonade, the album. Yeah. That didn't feel that long ago. I thought that was, like, more recent.
Jordan
No, that's the scary part is that 10 years will go.
Danny
Leo. Leonardo DiCaprio finally got his first Oscar for the Revenant. That's crazy.
Jordan
That is crazy.
Danny
He deserves a lot more. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt split up. Justin Bieber makes his comeback. Wow.
Jordan
What was his comeback?
Danny
The Mannequin Challenge. That was so old. Oh, my gosh. Is this when people used to do the planking. Planking challenge. Remember planking? Vine was still alive. The clowns. I don't know what that is.
Jordan
I don't remember the clowns either.
Danny
Kim K. Vers. Taylor Swift icons passed away like David Bowie, Carrie Fisher, Alan Thick, George Michael, Muhammad ali and Prince R.I.P. wow. 2016, baby. Okay. Things that make you go. Hm. Let's talk about Blake Lively versus Justin Baldoni.
Jordan
Oh, gosh. She told me all about this in the car.
Danny
Yeah. So I guess the world just can't get enough of it ends with us drama. So let's dive back in, this time with Taylor Swift. So, long story short, a lot of these text messages between Blake Lively or emails between Blake Lively, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, all these celebrities. Taylor Swift have come to light because of this. This case. And I honestly don't understand why they're pulling all these personal text messages and emails. It really scares me. And just like, it feels very intrusive, and it really scares me because they're so personal. And it makes me feel like we all need to Be on watch. And, like, just like, you can't trust anything. It makes me want to voice memo everything.
Jordan
Have you.
Danny
I hate when people say my voice memos too. I'm like, what, are you gonna try to sue me? Like, I literally, every time it's, like, saved, I'm like, you're suing me? I like, it's so I. I make sure that I don't save people.
Jordan
Would you rather have your bank account drained or your text messages released? I saw this trend.
Danny
Probably my text messages released.
Jordan
Yeah, same.
Danny
You know, because then I could just go live a private life while every he.
Jordan
I oftentimes think about if my text message got released. And I. What I always think about is, I would say, honestly, I hope that they're released so people understand how funny I am over sex. I say it a lot to myself.
Danny
You are funny.
Jordan
Like, I would say, like, yes, there's probably some things that I shouldn't have said, but, like, at the same time, like, you gotta admit, it was funny.
Danny
See, I. For the same reason that I've never taken nudes. Yeah. I always assume that my text messages are being read by somebody else too.
Jordan
Yeah. So that's a good practice.
Danny
Most things that I've ever. And I think it's because when I was in high school, some girl texted, like, a nudie to a guy on the football team, and it got out. And I feel like I learned that lesson, like, from her that year, and I was like, anything and everything I ever post, especially with the icloud and all of that, like, anything I say, like, could be.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
You know, released. And so I actually feel like my text messages. I'm definitely. Probably harsher, like, in person. But, yeah, I try to be pretty vague in my text messages. If I'm like, you know, anyway, it just. Yeah, it feels yucky that they're releasing these. And I. I truly think that that is why Taylor Swift and Blake Lively are not. Are no longer friends. It. Their friendship, I think, was. Was on the rocks before. I think they were having struggles before. But I think when Blake Lively submitted those. Because she submitted all of these texts and messages and emails. I think when she submitted them, Taylor was like, why are you including me in this? Like, leave me out of this. I am going on tour. I'm like, in my tour, I'm getting engaged to Travis Kelsey. I'm, like, trying to build my life. Like, please just keep me out of this. Like, what do I have to do with this? I let you use my song. Like, you should not be I would be pissed. I'd be pissed.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
I think if I let somebody use my song and, like, my work, and then you're pulling me into the. The case.
Jordan
Like, did she. So did Blake's team release all these?
Danny
Yes. Blake released all these to make herself look better, but they don't really make her look great. They make her look a little manipulative, in my opinion. So.
Jordan
Dude, anyway, if I was Ben Affleck or Matt Damon, like, I'd be like, I'm not talking to you anymore. Like, well, so weird.
Danny
So what happened was a lot of things seem to be, like, weird on set with Justin Baldoni. And I'll. I'll agree with that. I think he was a little unprofessional. I think he said things he probably shouldn't, said anything that he should be, like, sued for. I don't know. I don't think so. I think he was just kind of like a creeper weirdo. And I don't know what his religion is, but I think that Blake was, like, kind of creeped out by his religion and she kind of felt like he was in a cult. And I think it was like his first experience doing such a big project that there's probably some mistakes that were made. And Blake is very experienced. She's very, like a feminist. Like, she's very strong willed. She's probably an 8 on the Enneagram where she's like, I'm gonna take. Take over and just like, do what I want. And so I think just naturally the personalities clashed. And so she had a very poor experience working with Justin Baldoni. And she kind of like, she calls him all these horrible names, like a clown. He's a douche. She's the worst. He's a narcissist. And you know, those things might be true, who knows? But at the end of the day, there were these two edits that were being done. So Justin, he purchased the rights for this movie. Like, for five years he was working on trying to get this movie. He worked with the financiers. He's the one who, like, this is his movie. He's directing, he's acting in it. Like his movie. Blake was just cast as, like, an actress. This is not her movie. She doesn't own it. Nothing. So. But while they're filming, Justin starts to feel like Blake is trying to take over his project and. And trying to in kind of starting to step on his toes. So he probably felt disrespected anyway. At the end of the day, Justin House has this edit of the movie that he's submitting to Sony. And then Blake, 10 days before the edit is due, takes all the footage and edits her own, which she's not really. Like, that's really not fair. Like, she doesn't own the rights to the footage. Like, it's like. But she just steps in because she. I'm sure she wants the movie to be great, so she edits her own version. So they submit them to, I guess, Sony, and they do, like, an audience test. Like, you get an audit. Audience score. And Justin Baldoni's version edit won by, like, a landslide. So people liked Justin's movie better, which really pissed off Blake. So Blake wrote all these emails and text messages to all of her celebrity friends. Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Taylor Swift. Did I say Ben Affleck? Yep. And included their wives and wrote these pretty lengthy, kind of manipulative emails and text messages asking them to, like, basically back her edit and not Justin's. And now he's a total joke. And this has been a nightmare. It's been the worst experience of her life. So I guess they released all these. These text messages to show that she was distressed and she was, like, annoyed. But to me, they didn't really, like, prove anything, except for you have famous friends that you're trying to manipulate, and, like, you're also kind of a mean girl. So the exchanges with Taylor and Blake Lively were funny to me. Like, Taylor Swift does call him the B word. But, like, you know, you go to bat for your best friend. Like, if Ellie were to come to me and be like, this person was mean to me, I'd be like, what's their address? I'll go beat him up. Like, you know, and you just kind of, like, you. You're just, like, being a supportive good friend. You're just being silly. Whatever. So Blake is going on and on and asks Taylor to come over to her. Or, like, actually, they go over to Taylor Swift's apartment with Justin Baldoni and asks if Taylor can kind of back her version. And. And. And Taylor agrees also to give one of the songs. I think it was all too well, I can't remember, to Justin so that he can use it in the movie. And Taylor and these, like, text messages or after the event, after they. They go to meet at Taylor Swift's house. Blake Lively is texting Taylor Swift and was like, wow, you were amazing tonight. Like, you did such a good job. You're such a good friend. Like, the way you were talking about different lenses was, like, so Amazing. And Taylor goes, yeah. He basically calls him a B word and was like, if he was smart, he wouldn't put my song in your. In the film. Because now you have the upper hand. Because basically Blake is the reason why Taylor let the song in, not because of Justin. And now it almost is like Justin, like, owes her something because now Blake got Taylor's song in it. So they're just being, like, manipulative little girlies. It's like, not really that bad. Nothing like that's like character destroying, in my opinion. But people are like, do have their panties in a ruffle that Taylor Swift called him a beautiful word.
Jordan
So funny.
Danny
But, like, yeah. So I would be. If I was Taylor, I would be pissed off, too, that I'm even being included in this conversation. Like, what do I have to do with any of this? I let you have. I tried to defend you. I tried to help you, and I let you have this song. And I really think that's probably, like, why they're not friends anymore. It seems like Blake kind of, like, lives in Blake's world and just like, we'll do whatever it takes to get what she wants. And I think that started to, like, affect her friendships. But, yeah, so it's. It's a very. It's very interesting, though, the way that they're handling this, and it's creating so much more drama. Like, I feel like people kind of want to be over this. But the thing is, in my opinion is, no matter what, Justin. Val. Justin Baldoni is going to come out on top. Even if. If Blake wins this case, everyone's going to be like, well, she had more money and she had more lawyers, and she had all of this, and they're still going to be like Justin forever.
Jordan
But what does he do after this?
Danny
Well, that's the thing. I don't think anybody will want to work with him because of.
Jordan
I know some saying all the way.
Danny
This kind of like. But I don't know if they're going to work. Want to work with either one of them.
Jordan
Yeah, I mean, I don't. I. I don't.
Danny
I mean, it'd be smart for someone to come in and work with them because it's just going to, like. Like, in terms of attention, like, people are going to want to know what he does next.
Jordan
Didn't he move to Nashville? He did, yeah. That's. I feel like all these celebrities, like, who have some falling out move to Nashville.
Danny
I want to see what his religion is. Justin. Religion. Okay. He is. Was raised in the ba. Bahi Faith, a religion that emphasizes the unity of all religions and people, though his family also honored his Jewish and Catholic heritage, celebrating with Hanukkah and Christ Christmas. His mother is Jewish and his father is an Italian Catholic, and both converted to Baja Faith. So they. I guess they're. It's a religion founded in the 19th century that focuses on the unity of humanity and the elimination of prejudice.
Jordan
Seems like he's a pretty welcoming guy.
Danny
Yeah. I mean. Oh, okay. Bahi faith was established in Iran under the Universal House of Justice in 1963, the same year that the founder claimed to be the prophet, foretold by the. Bob. Bob, an Iranian religious leader who died in 1850. So, yeah. I don't know. It just. And then apparently, whatever. Blake felt like it was, like, very cultish the way that it all came together. And then the whole thing where, like, somebody walks in on her while she's breastfeeding, like, that's brought up in the case. And. Yeah, it seems like there were just some weird things, but I don't know if it's like, I like, sue you worthy. Honestly, they both should have just come to an agreement and just, like, stopped, because this is just making them both look really bad.
Jordan
She's probably an enneagram 8.
Danny
That's what I was saying.
Jordan
Yeah, she is. She's got to be.
Danny
Yeah. I wonder what Ryan's thinking.
Jordan
He's probably thinking it's good for the marketing of the movie. He's like that, right?
Danny
Yeah. I don't know. He's just, like, not my favorite person either.
Jordan
Yeah, they've got some. They've got some rebuilding to do.
Danny
But you know what? I always think about how Khloe Kardashian came back from a dui. People love her, so it's like, oh.
Jordan
When did that happen?
Danny
Long time ago. But people come back from. Like, they're gonna be okay.
Jordan
Yeah, everyone's gonna be okay. Except Justin.
Danny
We also, like, remember, like, Justin and I like, DM sometimes.
Jordan
No.
Danny
Yeah.
Jordan
Oh, during all of this.
Danny
Yeah. Remember he was Yeming me?
Jordan
No, I think that was, like, the PR people that he hired, but it doesn't.
Danny
Why can you not accept the fact.
Jordan
Sorry. That he. He DM'd you. He DM'd you. Yeah.
Danny
You were like Deming.
Jordan
Yeah. That was really smart. Remember when he, like, rolled out that strategy? He was like, I'm going to take this Internet first. He won on the Internet.
Danny
No. Yeah. That was his team.
Jordan
No, I know. That's what I'm saying. But he won on The Internet.
Danny
The thing is, I think that this. This hatred that everyone has towards Blake Lively, I think was building. Like, I don't think it was just over this.
Jordan
Nine times out of ten, if there's this much onslaught against someone, there's truth.
Danny
Yeah, there's truth. No.
Jordan
Any terrible person that has a good public perception that we know, it's like the. The masses. The. The masses of conspirators against that person. They're typically right.
Danny
Okay. This kind of reminds me of. Did we talk about the Brooklyn Beckham, David Beckham situation?
Jordan
No.
Danny
I know we don't have, like, too much time, but this kind of reminds me of how Brooklyn Beckham, I don't know if y' all saw recently, but he basically posted like, a. Brooklyn Beckham.
Jordan
Is a sweet name. That's a cool name. Like, that's a cool family. Cool name. Just vibes. Except for.
Danny
But I kind of always thought that Brooklyn was a girl that.
Jordan
That I. I could see.
Danny
I get confused a lot. Like, I thought that Brooklyn Beckham was his wife's name.
Jordan
Yeah, but, like, if you're. If.
Danny
Yeah, but if you know that he's a boy, it's a cool name.
Jordan
Yeah, it's a cool name.
Danny
So Brooklyn Beckham came up with these stories basically saying that his parents are narcissists. People love that. That word that his.
Jordan
It's. It's getting out of hand how many times we're using narcissists these days.
Danny
Because, like, we could all be narcissists, if you think about it.
Jordan
Yeah. And it's also kind of like everybody thinks, couldn't you be a narcissist for accusing someone else of being a narcissist? Narcissists.
Danny
Oh, yeah.
Jordan
It's like, I don't know. It's just so overdone.
Danny
Like, we need, like, a new word. Like, I feel like everybody's kind of like, that's been overused.
Jordan
It's a catch. Yeah. I feel like.
Danny
I feel like it doesn't really mean the same thing it used to. No. Either.
Jordan
No, it's like, it's gonna lose its sting.
Danny
That's what I'm saying is, like, he's a narcissism. Like, like, okay, everybody is, apparently. So he came out with all these stories where he was defending his wife and saying that he has no desire to rekindle or to work on a relationship with his parents or his family, saying that his mom was trying to, like, destroy the relationship. She, like, messed up Nicoletta's wedding dress, and she said she was going to make the wedding dress, and then she didn't. Like, right before the wedding, he said that his brother has turned against him. He said his parents only care about the perception of, like, how they live in the public eye. They don't actually care about them. And he just did this whole, like, I don't know how many Instagram stories. It would probably been like, four to six Instagram stories, like, of just, like, all this text, basically attacking his parents, saying they're horrible, which is so tacky. Like, so tacky. And even if those things are true, I. It really left me with, like, a very poor taste of Brooklyn back up in my. In my mouth. Like, I'm like, why are you dealing with this publicly? This is so immature. Like, go talk to your parents privately.
Jordan
Well, his accusation was that his parents. Parents were leaking stories.
Danny
Oh, leaking stories in the press, which.
Jordan
If that's true, I kind of am like, good for you. That is hard because, you know, his parents are pretty connected to the royal family.
Danny
Uhhuh.
Jordan
And the royals are pretty good at those tabloid leaks, you know, and so that's so true.
Danny
And so, like, maybe he felt like he had to. Like, he did say, this is the first time I'm defending myself.
Jordan
Years. Yeah.
Danny
It just seems like it did so much damage. Like, I feel like there was ways that he could have made a public announcement with. Without being so catty. Like, I feel like there are ways that you can say something without saying all those, like, details. So, like, what, like, what I would have done is, like, hey, like, I've seen that my parents have been leaking this information to the press. Like, this is totally inaccurate. In fact, I would really appreciate if my parents and I could deal with this, like, offline and, like, be more. More, like, mature about the way that we deal with our family dynamics. It's been hard. I love my parents, but right now I'm taking, like, a break because we're just trying to figure out how to, like, build our family, you know, like that.
Jordan
How old is he?
Danny
Maybe 26, 25.
Jordan
It's kind of that age where he's like, I'm my own man. I'm. You know, he's going to regret it. By the time he's 30, he'll regret probably everything he does.
Danny
Well, apparently David Beckham was asked about, like, his son, and he was like, well, you know, sometimes your kids just have to make mistakes. Like, I thought it was, like, such a badass answer. It is because he's just like, you know, he. Brooklyn thinks he's doing the right thing right now. But one day he'll realize, like, all these stories, like, what he did, defending or, like, attacking our family.
Jordan
He's newly married. He's like, I'm doing it my own way. Like, it's very common, I feel like.
Danny
So here's what I learned, though. So everybody is saying that I'm not gonna lie from the outside looking. I don't know that much about Victoria Beckham, but she doesn't seem like the best mother in law in the world. And not in a way that, like, she's mean or manipulative or whatever. I just feel like she's so consumed. It's almost like being related to Kim Kardashian. It's like she's so consumed with her own thing that she's just probably not, like, a very thoughtful person. Like, it's. And she's probably so used to, like, everything being about her and not in a way that's like, you know, we're not going to be like family anymore, but it's just like, it's always about Victoria and David Beckham. And so I think a lot of times Nicoletta probably feels like, man, she didn't go out of her way to, like, to really, like, think about me or to think about our feelings or how it affects us. And, like, I could just see how that maybe trickles down and, like, kind of annoys them, but apparently. So Justin Anderson went on his stories and, like, has done Nicoletta's hair before, and it's like, coming out that Nicoletta is, like, the worst.
Jordan
Who's Nicoletta?
Danny
His wife. Brooklyn Beckham's wife. And that she is really a really scary person. Like, one of the meanest people in Hollywood. Like, very, like, actually mean to people. Like, kind of like JLo vibes.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
And she apparently is a Nepo baby. I don't know, like, much about her, but, like, comes from this, like, really big, wealthy family, and people are saying that she's actually the biggest problem. And so then you get, like, these two powerful, like, women in there that are both, like, the show is about me. And it's probably hard.
Jordan
Yeah. Well, isn't it a two dominant, like. Well, it's also like a. There's also, like, always a dynamic when a son. When your son marries someone else.
Danny
Right.
Jordan
It's, like, hard for a mom, probably.
Danny
Oh, yeah. But see, I don't know. Like, I just feel like. I feel like I take on more of, like, my mom's perception of things. Like, when I think about someone marrying My son, I think of, like, a new best friend. Like, I'm like, oh, my God, I get a new best friend. Like, I get, like, a new girlfriend. I get to hang out with. And, like, my mom really does that with, like, Olivia. Like, she kind of adopted her as, like, her own daughter. And everybody used to always think, oh, my gosh, is that so annoying that your mom and Olivia are, like, so close? And I was like, no, it doesn't. Like, I'm her daughter. I know that she loves me, and I love that she's making an effort to, like, be close with Olivia, too. And that's just the way I feel. Like, that's how, like, the U.S. like, my mom and I think where I'm not like, oh, my God, I'm so jealous. I'm like, yeah, we get to all hang out, like, and so it's hard for me to put myself there. But yeah, I mean, I guess if I felt like they were, like, not treating my. My boy right, but honestly, I'd be like, I get it. He's sometimes like, you know, sometimes he, like, doesn't pick up his laundry. And I'd be like. I'd be like, girl, we'll. We'll get this. This together.
Jordan
Yeah, but that's toxic, too. But anyway.
Danny
But, you know, like, in a funny way, not, like, a serious way, I.
Jordan
Think that Brooklyn is gonna regret this in the next five years.
Danny
Yeah. Just the way you did it was, like, super caddy. You could have made a post defending yourself without attacking, but I don't know.
Jordan
Something about, like, the mid, like, 25 to 30. For men, you're a little off a rocker.
Danny
Yeah.
Jordan
You just think you know everything.
Danny
Totally.
Jordan
And then you really don't.
Danny
Yeah.
Jordan
And then it takes you until, like, 30, 32 to be like, ah, because.
Danny
Y' all mature a little bit later than us.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
So.
Jordan
Well, our prefrontal Corvetex isn't developed until, like, what, 23?
Danny
I don't know. I think for. For women, it's 22. So y' all's just probably 30, right?
Jordan
25.
Danny
It's just like, a couple more years.
Jordan
Yeah. Yeah. So he'll. He'll. He'll come around.
Danny
Yeah.
Jordan
But I mean, and his parents will forgive him.
Danny
I just. The last thing I'll say about this is when. When people do this. Like, I have seen other influencers do this about brands or they do this about, like, products they don't like, or Brooklyn did it to, like, his parents. It. You think that you're defending yourself and you think you look like you're coming out the stronger person to me, it makes me not want to, like, touch you with a 10 inch pole.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
Because I'm like, why would you not do that to me? Like, and the fact that you're willing to go so public on, like, your parents, like, just shows me that, like, I don't feel safe around you.
Jordan
Yeah.
Danny
And so I think it just. It was just an overall bad decision, but. But it made for some great TikTok content.
Jordan
Okay. We love you guys so much. Bye. Bye.
