Danny Austin
Foreign. The following podcast is a Dear Media production. Hello and welcome back to your favorite podcast, Be Influenced. Hi, babe.
Jordan Austin
We're back.
Danny Austin
We've been jet setting around Texas.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, we had to go to Houston again.
Danny Austin
Yes. So I went to Houston because Dr. Dooley had make like a few last adjustments on my teeth before I moved to Nashville, which I do feel like I'm kind of talking a little weird because my teeth are like hitting my gums or like the, in the outside of my mouth in different places.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, like you're, you're, I'm adjusting. It's. Your teeth are bigger.
Danny Austin
Yeah, they're bigger. Especially this one on this side. So like I have bit my gum a few times, but she says, like, I'll get used to it.
Jordan Austin
Yeah. I'm excited for you not to be numb because your numb face is very similar to your angry face. And I really cannot read how you're feeling at all. And you usually are a little bit more irritable after.
Danny Austin
I have been a little irritable. I think I'm going through that four month postpartum hormone dip and I'm just not.
Jordan Austin
Maybe for sure.
Danny Austin
Yeah. Because I'm also having really bad night sweats again. And I, I've been like ruminating on like things about our kids and it's giving me anxiety and then I can sleep and then I get mad at Jordan and then it's like, you haven't
Jordan Austin
really gotten mad at me.
Danny Austin
Yeah, I didn't, I want to be fair, I didn't get mad at you. I've just been like, I'll just look at you, sir. Crying.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, no, I forgot about. Yeah, last night was crazy.
Danny Austin
And then I woke up, I'm like, I'm fine.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, no, it's. Every day is for sure been something.
Danny Austin
God, this is why I, like, I, I, I'm not saying all females are like this, but just like, thank God I'm not president, you know, and like there are females that could handle it. I'm not saying it's like, you know, for all. I don't want to put myself in
Jordan Austin
that position, but we gotta be, we gotta be wondering.
Danny Austin
But no, hey, you better be careful. You are gonna get destroyed. You're just like living with your first female ever that is going through all this. So you're probably just like a little, like, a little shook.
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
But like, I mean, if somebody, like, if a country would have like tried to fight with me last night, I bombed them all.
Jordan Austin
No, I mean, really, you shouldn't. I should not be President, like, you'll go to.
Danny Austin
And then I wake up next day, and I'm like, major regrets, man.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, you'll. You'll go to war with, like, you know, I don't even know who you get mad at.
Danny Austin
No, the gate agent. Like, six weeks ago, when we were flying southwest, this gate agent was so rude to me, and, like, I can't stop thinking about him. Yeah, he was so rude.
Jordan Austin
Yeah. That really was about six weeks ago.
Danny Austin
Yeah, I know.
Jordan Austin
And it was. I was there. I witnessed it. It really wasn't that bad.
Danny Austin
And then sometimes there's been.
Jordan Austin
There's been way worse airport employees and. But yeah, and then I see all
Danny Austin
these families traveling to Europe, and I'm, like, triggered.
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
I'm like, I can't do that. I know we already talked about this, but it still pissed me off. I had to, like, mute some people.
Jordan Austin
No, for sure.
Danny Austin
Like, on stories, like, I don't want to see this anymore.
Jordan Austin
Who you mean?
Danny Austin
I don't want to tell you because y'. All. Y' all would know. It's like. No, it's like, so. It's. It's so me. Like, I'm the problem. Like, they're great. Like, I'm the problem, and so I need to protect my peace and my mental health. And so it's like, okay. Sometimes people will be like, hey, Danny. Like, I blocked. I. Like, I haven't followed your stories. I had to block you for a little bit. Like, you're kind of getting on my nerves. I'm like, good for you. I honestly think that's healthy.
Jordan Austin
If you had, like, the full weight of the US Military behind us, Commander in chief, I'd just be like.
Danny Austin
I would be a little scared.
Jordan Austin
Be like, I don't know.
Danny Austin
It just depends on the day.
Jordan Austin
Just depends on the day.
Danny Austin
You just have to wake up and see how she's doing. Did she get her coffee or did she not?
Jordan Austin
You know what I've really grown to appreciate, and I think this will get me points with the female crowd, is okay, so you grow up, and then you go through puberty. We all go through puberty. Okay. So that's a change. And then you have babies, and that's like, a. For your hormones. That's like, up and down, up and down. And then you go through perimenopause, which is like, pre. Menopause.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Jordan Austin
Then you go through menopause, and then you're dead. And then you're dead. I mean, really, you get, like, 10 years of stability.
Danny Austin
Yeah. I would say your 20s are probably the most stable. But is your frontal lobe fully developed?
Jordan Austin
Yeah. No, that doesn't count because your frontal lobe's not developed. Yeah, it's not stable for any of us.
Danny Austin
It's hard to be a girl. Let me tell you what I'm. I've really been struggling these last couple days because I went and got dip removed from my nails.
Jordan Austin
Well, hold on. Is the, what, what decade or what, what 10 year span is like free and clear for you guys? Probably like 35 to 45. Right?
Danny Austin
That's when you're having babies.
Jordan Austin
True. Unless you have them in your.
Danny Austin
If there isn't one. That's the point.
Jordan Austin
Oh, yeah.
Danny Austin
Like, I'm trying to tell you that there isn't one. And, like, that's why I need to tell you about my story about my nails. The hardest part about being female right now is. Okay, so I got the hormone drop. So I'm getting these horrible night sweats, like, covered in just like, sweat. When I wake up in the morning, I get. Because of the hormones, I get these migraines for my left eye. Okay. And then I'm irritable. I, I love you. And then I'm sad. And then I'm. I. I haven't really been hating you. So that's.
Jordan Austin
No, you don't hate me.
Danny Austin
But yeah, and then, you know, so it's like everything's all over the place. And then we're all like, whoa, whoa. I'm like, we're going this way. And it's like, no.
Jordan Austin
Then she's like, we're gonna, we're gonna take all four of our kids to Lake Como. And I'm like, that sounds 50.
Danny Austin
50.
Jordan Austin
It'll be good.
Danny Austin
I'm like, no, Switzerland. And so then, yeah, you have to go get your nails done on top of all of this. And to sit in a chair for two hours and not be able to use your phone, you just have to sit there because, like, they're working on your hands. It's like you lose your most valuable asset. Your hands, you know, your manners, your monos. And so, so I have, for the longest time, I've been like, serious, I'm not doing this anymore. I have held up my middle finger to the nail industry. And I'm like, screw you, I'm going to take off my own nail polish.
Jordan Austin
And then I'm like, your little bare nails with my.
Danny Austin
But so then I order acetone online.
Jordan Austin
I have a crazy story about acetone.
Danny Austin
Okay, we'll talk about it later. So then I try to take off My own dip, and I can't. I literally am locked into the vicious cycle of the nail salon. So I have to go to the nail salon just to get the dip taken off so that I can paint my own nails. So anyway, I went in and I got my dip removed. And if they use that little, like, thing, kind of the same thing they use on your teeth, the jibber. Jibbers. Jibber jabbers. And they painted my nails with Dazzle Dry. And now my nails feel like. Like, open cuticle. Like, super paper thin. And it's like the wind. Like, I feel the wind in my nails. It's horrible. It's a horrible feeling.
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
You know, and I can't open anything because, like, I try to open a Coke can, and my nails are so flimsy, they just break off.
Jordan Austin
That's so hard.
Danny Austin
I know.
Jordan Austin
So hard.
Danny Austin
And I'm just so, like, irritated by it. But the good news is I'm going to go through this, this, and then I'm going. I already ordered some Dazzle Dry from Amazon, and I'm gonna start doing my own nails, and they're gonna strengthen. Because one thing about me, I wasn't born with the best hair, but I was born with amazing nails. My nails grow faster than anyone's nails ever. Like, if you think your nails grow faster than mine, let's bet. Bet.
Jordan Austin
Let's bet. Polymarket.
Danny Austin
Polymarket. Like, I'll race you.
Jordan Austin
I know that nails is hard. You know why I know that? Because Stella didn't even want to do it.
Danny Austin
I know. She's like.
Jordan Austin
She talks about it all the time. She was like, no, I'm not gonna have my hands tied up for two hours.
Danny Austin
She's like, it's so boring.
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
And she used to love it, but, like, now she went to the nail salon. She just sat there because she didn't want to get her nails in.
Jordan Austin
I, on the other hand, found it to be a wonderful experience. I had my first pedicure, and then they come around. They're like, do you want a massage? And I was like, yeah.
Danny Austin
Like, why? You're like. You ever heard of. I was like, you're like, yahya, who?
Jordan Austin
I was like, do I have to move? And she was like, no, we'll just do it right here. And then she just like, well, I was sitting in the chair. It was the best.
Danny Austin
It's a wonderful place.
Jordan Austin
It's a wonderful place. I guess. I, on the other hand, had my hands. My mom. I was able to read a book.
Danny Austin
And the best thing about You. There's a lot of other good things about you, but you have nice feet. Wow.
Jordan Austin
Thank you.
Danny Austin
Yeah, like, they're like.
Jordan Austin
You've never told me.
Danny Austin
Yeah, they're, like, nice and clean. Your toes are like. You know, everybody kind of has, like, a crazy toe. Like, you know, like, I have a couple that, like. They're just like, the Sasquatch toes.
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
You know those toes that are just like.
Jordan Austin
Are you talking about your. Your middle toe?
Danny Austin
Oh, no, it's the fourth one.
Jordan Austin
The ring.
Danny Austin
Yeah. It's like. It just, like, gets so skinny. Then it gets fat, all of a sudden, they go skinny again. It's like, how did that happen?
Jordan Austin
Right?
Danny Austin
And. Yeah, and your surgery is all very, like, proportional.
Jordan Austin
Wow. It hasn't gotten me anywhere in life, I'll tell you that much. Well, have you ever tried to sell my feet? Pigs.
Danny Austin
Well, I mean, you said it.
Jordan Austin
I mean, there's probably a market for it.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Jordan Austin
Especially now. You're creating the market. Now people are intrigued.
Danny Austin
Yeah. Let's title this the one about the foot.
Jordan Austin
Well, actually, I did sell my feet on a picture once.
Danny Austin
Oh, yeah. I broke my toe down that picture the other day. It's so funny.
Jordan Austin
I broke my toe. This is like 2019. I broke my toe literally in half.
Danny Austin
I was like.
Jordan Austin
It was like, literally, like a 90 degree angle.
Danny Austin
No. This was so funny about Jordan. So we were married, and he was so bad.
Jordan Austin
I forgot about that.
Danny Austin
He was on, like, a business call, and, like, we were living in a condo. So he's on this call, and then all of a sudden he's like, danny, Danny. And he had. He had the guy on mute that he was talking to. And I looked down and he had stubbed his toe, his pinky toe. And it's literally 90 degree angle. Like, what? It's like, literally out of, like, a movie. Like you. It was like, kind of like in those horror movies when, like, joints twists and turns in ways that they probably shouldn't. Like, that was your pinky toe? Yeah.
Jordan Austin
I never got off the call, though.
Danny Austin
He never. So he's like, still. And he's like. He's, like, on mute. He's like, come on, we gotta go to the hospital. And I'm like, oh, my God. Like, I'm, like, grabbing my phone, like, my mullet. I'm, like, freaking out. And he's like, yeah, yeah, yeah. On the phone. So we literally drive all the way. I drive him all the way to the hospital or not, like, an ER clinic while he's still on the phone. And then we had to get there and, like, pop his toe back into place.
Jordan Austin
Yeah. But people really wanted to see the pic, and so I said, fine. You can see the pic if you sign up for email, if you join Danny's email list. And, I mean, biggest surge in history on that one.
Danny Austin
I mean, yeah, we probably had, like, a hundred thousand signups or something.
Jordan Austin
No, it was crazy how all these
Danny Austin
marketing gurus are like, how did you get there? We're like, yeah, it's just, like. It's tough. Let me see. I found it the other day. Broken. Broken toe. I don't know why. Like, it just popped up the other day, and I was like, why is this happening? Broken toe. Oh, maybe if I type.
Jordan Austin
I've been waking up. I've been telling you this, and I feel like no one's listening, but I've been waking up, like, sore. Like, when I get out of the bed, the first steps I take, I'm like. My feet are, like, sore.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Jordan Austin
And I'm like, am I just getting older?
Danny Austin
It's possible.
Jordan Austin
That's crazy.
Danny Austin
I am a little concerned about you. That. That. That's not normal.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, it's like.
Danny Austin
It's like.
Jordan Austin
It's like, like. But, I mean, the good news is when I take five steps, I'm fine. You know, it's just like a blood flow thing.
Danny Austin
Weird.
Jordan Austin
Maybe. I don't know. I. I think I need to start stretching. I need to focus on my mobility.
Danny Austin
Maybe you're taking too many peptides.
Jordan Austin
I thought about that. I did research that.
Danny Austin
And they're like.
Jordan Austin
They're like, no.
Danny Austin
It's a no, thank goodness.
Jordan Austin
No, that was like, where my mind first went is. I was like, I had a DEXA scan I was supposed to get this week, and I didn't. It got canceled. I'll check my bone density.
Danny Austin
You should probably get a DEXA scan still.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, no, I'm gonna get.
Danny Austin
Or no. Like a. A full body mri.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, either or. Either or. I'm gonna do both. I'm gonna do both.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Jordan Austin
Just to make sure things are good.
Danny Austin
Yeah. You know, I'm so sorry. I was gonna say something, but I
Jordan Austin
can't remember about my toe. Is it bummy toe?
Danny Austin
No, I. I forgot. I lost it.
Jordan Austin
One thing I've learned as a parent is that you're constantly trying to make good decisions for your kids, but sometimes it feels like you're just guessing. Are they getting what they need nutritionally? Are we covering all our bases with four kids? Those are things we think about a lot. That's One of the reasons we've loved First Day. It's the one brand I feel good about using for our whole family because it just simplifies everything. They actually make different formulas for toddlers, kids, teachers, teens and adults so it's tailored to your stage of life. Instead of taking a one size fits all approach. What also stood out to us is how transparent they are about their ingredients. There's no added sugars, no artificial dyes, and nothing unnecessary. Everything is tested for more than 200 toxins and has earned the Clean Label Purity award. Honestly, it just makes me feel better knowing we're covering our bases. It takes the guesswork out of it and with busy schedules, that's one less thing to think about. Plus, it's just two gummies a day, so it's easy to stay consistent. Over a million families use Firstday and they also offer a 45 day money back guarantee for a limited time only. Our listeners are getting an insane deal. okay moms, I need to tell you about something I've genuinely been loving lately. I'm four kids in Smith is still so little Summit just turned one and I feel like I'm in that season where my body is doing a lot and needs all the support it can get. That's why I started taking Parallel's Daily Resilience Complex. One thing that immediately stood out to me is that it contains lactoferrin, which is the active protein found in Colostrum. Except this version is dairy free and doesn't involve taking colostrum from baby cows. Instead, Parallel isolates the lactoferrin through fermentation so you get those immune and gut health benefits without the dairy. And honestly, I love how simple it is. It's one unflavored scoop that I can throw into my morning coffee or smoothie and not have to think twice about. The Daily Resilience complex also includes 10 grams of collagen peptides to support hair, skin, nails and joint health, which I know a lot of postpartum moms can't appreciate. What I really love is that it was formulated by doctors and nutritionists. It's safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding, and it pairs really well with your prenatal or postnatal routine. Right now it Feels like one of those things that's genuinely in my corner while my body recovers and adjusts to this season. If you're pregnant, postpartum or momming, you need to check out Parallel. I cannot recommend it enough. I had them give me an exclusive code just for you. New customers can use Code dani and get 20% off your first order at parallelhealth.com Danny that's P E R E L E L Health.com Danny if you've

got kids, you know that keeping up with everybody's schedule can feel like a full time job. Between school, activities, appointments, sports, church, work and everything else, there are a lot of moving pieces. And if you're anything like us, half the battle is just making sure everybody knows what's going on. That's why we've really loved Skylight Calendar. Skylight Calendar is designed to bring families together for more time. It's an all in one digital smart calendar that syncs seamlessly with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook and more. So everything is in one place instead of spread across multiple apps, texts and sticky notes. One of my favorite features is that you can manage events, chores and grocery lists while assigning colors for each family member. It makes it so much easier to see who needs to be where and what needs to get done. The tasks feature also helps kids build healthy routines and independence. Things like brushing teeth, homework and chores become fun and rewarding. And Skylight stands behind their product. If in four months you are not 100% thrilled with your purchase, you can return it for a full refund, no questions asked. Families are better when they're working together. Right now, Skylight is offering our listeners $30 off their 15 inch calendars by going to myskylight.com Danny go to myskylight.com Danny for $30 off your 15 inch calendar. That is my S K Y L I g h t.com Danny have you been seeing what's been going on with the d'? Amelios?
Danny Austin
You know, it's really been bothering me. I was so dis. I know. I could tell that you couldn't sleep last night.
Jordan Austin
No, no, I'm. No, I'm actually being slightly serious on this one because I think it's so sad.
Danny Austin
I know. And we always like respected the way that they like raised their kids and kept their family together.
Jordan Austin
But I also was super skeptical. I. I was like, there's just no way these are teenage girls. Like really?
Danny Austin
I feel like you and I both were like, they've done a really good job at keeping their family Unit together. Like, the businesses they launch are together. Like, their kids are still. They have a. Like a show about their family. Like, they've always kept their kids very close.
Jordan Austin
Yeah. Do you watch the show? I don't think I watched it either.
Danny Austin
Oh, is it. Are they talking about the drama? Well, why don't you tell everybody about the drama?
Jordan Austin
Well, all I saw was that Mark d' Amelio went on a live, an Instagram live, and was like, basically disclosed he hadn't talked to his daughter Charlie since 2025. So sad.
Danny Austin
And
Jordan Austin
to me, it came across as, like, very defensive.
Danny Austin
Well, I think that. I think I could be wrong, but I think there were, like, legal battle. There's like, a legal battle.
Jordan Austin
Yeah. I don't know if that's true or not, but it was very defensive in his argument is basically that she's being, like, brainwashed by. She's being brainwashed by, like, the people in her corner. And, you know, he was like this, said it would happen in la. And there was kind of like, weird part of the live where he kind of, like, not compared himself, but, like, brought up, like, Michael Jackson's dad and, like, these, like, parents of stars who, like, push their kids. And he was like, I never wanted to be that, but it was just like, very not mature, in my opinion, to go on a live and talk about something that's so private and personal when, you know, like, your daughter's gonna, you know, see it. And maybe he felt like his back was against the wall, but to me, it kind of made him seem a little bit more guilty.
Danny Austin
Yeah. And, like, it just makes me feel like he cares more about his public perception than, like, his family, because. Did you ever see when that happened with the Beckhams?
Jordan Austin
No, but I. I know.
Danny Austin
Well, so, like, the youngest Beckham or the one that just got married. What's his name?
Jordan Austin
Brooklyn.
Danny Austin
Brooklyn Beckham got married to whatever her name is.
Jordan Austin
This other girl. Yeah.
Danny Austin
And I'm so bad with Rags. Who did he get married to?
Jordan Austin
Yeah, Peltz. It's like a big, wealthy family.
Danny Austin
Yeah, yeah. Nicola, right? Nicola. Nicola, yes. So. So Brooklyn got married to Nicola and he basically made this, like, public statement about his family and how he, like, how his family cares more about, you know, public perception and more about, like, the wedding and more about, like, every. Didn't care about, like, them and their relationship and about Nicoletta, and he made it all public. And, like, David Beckham's response was just, like, so mature.
Jordan Austin
And it was like, yeah, exactly.
Danny Austin
Like, we love you. Like, I'M sorry you feel this way. Like, we. We would love to have a relationship with you 100%, like, didn't go and, like, defend himself because it's like, I
Jordan Austin
mean, you're on an Instagram live and like, he's like, literally reacting to people, throwing questions at him, and he's like, name dropping. He's like, you should look up this person who's on our team and, like, trying to get the Internet, like, really stoked around, like, these people on her team. And it just is such a bad look. But the. The allegation is that they were taking money out of. Heidi and Mark d' Amelio were taking money's money out of accounts that were for her as a minor and then transferring them into other accounts. And honestly, most likely they were. And here's why. They launched a shoe company.
Danny Austin
They managed her.
Jordan Austin
They managed her. Have you heard?
Danny Austin
They moved to LA for her.
Jordan Austin
Have you heard of the shoe company since it launched?
Danny Austin
I don't even know what it's called.
Jordan Austin
D' Amelio Shoes or something. And then, like, they launched this popcorn brand. I remember seeing the popcorn brand. I was like, dude, how. How's this gonna make money like that? That doesn't make sense. And you and I both know that when you launch something like that, you have to put your entire heart and soul and storytelling power behind it, or else it's gonna go boop and then just completely flop. To me, I've seen a couple interviews with him, and I think that there's two sides of his brain, and I think that both can be true at the same time. The first is that I want my kids to have business, businesses that can stand on their own, so they don't have to be a slave to the Internet that attacks them every day. Like, that was our philosophy. I totally get it. But at the same time, it's like, now you're kind of like this public figure CEO of the d' Amelio brands, and you're raising money under the d' Amelio brands. But the d' Amelio brands is like, actually just your children. So it's just like, from a dynamic operating standpoint, it's. It's so messy and it has so many, so much room for error to ruin your family because you're now, like, taking something that your daughter probably loved. Like, I saw this clip from their show, and she was like, my dad's just such a fun sucker. Like, I just want to, like, dance and make TikToks. And like, he just, like, Makes everything fun. Unfun.
Danny Austin
Why? Because it's business.
Jordan Austin
Because he stood, he stepped in and was like, I need. Like, it's kind of how like you and I were early on when we started working together. It's like you. You think you're doing the right thing by taking something that, like, you know, these creators love to do and then trying to kind of, like, build it into something bigger. But sometimes building it into something bigger is the exact thing that makes it unfun or starts the race to the bottom. You know, like, as it became an empire, like, you lost sight of Dixie and Charlie being sisters and, like, you know, just making content together. Then you move them to la, then Dixie is like, real, not well, you know, and then they both go off social media and they come back on and it's like, I don't know, it's just so. And then you're. He's gonna take the blame no matter what. So I understand him trying to defend himself, but it's like, man, you. You probably took your eye off the ball of the family because you created this thing that was so, so large that left no room for error or margin in anything failing. So then he's the guy.
Danny Austin
Because you know for a fact that at one point in time, Charlie and Dixie are like, come on, dad, help us.
Jordan Austin
We want to 100.
Danny Austin
Like, help us launch his brand. Like, we want it like, dad, like, you come work for us, and then you get 20% of everything.
Jordan Austin
And then.
Danny Austin
And then what happens is he sacrifices everything, moves out to la, then he gets. He gets stuck in the cycle. He's working with all these people, he has all these brands that are relying on him.
Jordan Austin
And so then Walmart's calling him, saying, hey, we need Charlie to post about the popcorn. So then he's the guy that has to say, hey, Charlie, like, living expenses
Danny Austin
go up, their lifestyle expenses go up to try to keep. Keep up. And then Dixie and Charlie are not working as much. So then they need money. And then they pull money out of Charlie's account. Well, you know, they feel like it's fair because they sacrificed everything to get there. And so it's. I see both sides.
Jordan Austin
It's a mess. It's a giant shit show. It probably is, but I think the one thing that made it worse was going on Instagram live and trying to defend yourself.
Danny Austin
Yeah. Because at the end of the day, it's like, that's gonna come back and hurt your daughter.
Jordan Austin
She didn't even do that. She hasn't even made any public comment and, like, he's doing it, but I kind of feel like what's also probably going on is that his entire reputation for himself, so his entire ego, his entire sense of accomplishment, his entire sense of worth is tied directly to his daughter.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Jordan Austin
Daughters, you know, and, well, people loved their parents.
Danny Austin
They were kind of like the Internet's mom and dad.
Jordan Austin
They loved the family. But, like, just keeping that together, keeping it truly authentic when, like, showbiz wants to come in and make it all these other things, it's so hard.
Danny Austin
It's so hard.
Jordan Austin
I feel for him. And honestly, what I want to do, I don't know him at all, but what I would want to do is be, like.
Danny Austin
Have him on podcasts.
Jordan Austin
Oh, no, truly. Okay. Reach out to him. What I would want to do, truly, is be like, you guys, like, need to move out of la.
Danny Austin
LA destroys everyone.
Jordan Austin
It destroys everything in its wake.
Danny Austin
Marriages, everything. I think it'll be really interesting to see what happens to the marriages in the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, the LA edition. Oh, yeah, I think it'll be really interesting to see.
Jordan Austin
Oh, who's in that? Sorry.
Danny Austin
Like Bobby Altoff, Avery Woods.
Jordan Austin
Yes.
Danny Austin
Madison von Tempo.
Jordan Austin
Well, look at what happened to the. The Utah ones. I mean, what are they.
Danny Austin
But they all moved to la. A lot of them, like.
Jordan Austin
No, but the marriage is like, what are they, like, 50, 50 now?
Danny Austin
Like, I mean, it's Taylor.
Jordan Austin
Taylor was always including this.
Danny Austin
The. The scandal. Tick tock. Scandal. It's probably like 70, 30.
Jordan Austin
Oh, we can clear. But that. That's what made them.
Danny Austin
Yeah, but I mean, that ended. That was like, what? That was three marriages that ended because of that.
Jordan Austin
So bad. It's so hard.
Danny Austin
Fame and money, man.
Jordan Austin
Huh?
Danny Austin
Famine, money. It'll destroy you.
Jordan Austin
It just will destroy you. I mean, think. Thank God we did it the right way. Putting your mother on Instagram. No, but honestly, you know, what we did? You know we did what? I. I think that we did it well. And here's why. Is we gave her an opportunity and now we have nothing to do with it.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Jordan Austin
Like, you know, it's like, here, Mom. It's like, no, really. I mean, we. I feel like I helped her out, you know, you. You obviously pushed it. And then I helped hire her, her first two employees and set up her payroll and, like, do all that stuff. And then I was like, hey, you're now making Fly birdie fly. And she soared.
Danny Austin
She soared.
Jordan Austin
She's on a cruise.
Danny Austin
Yeah, she's like, in New York with qvc.
Jordan Austin
But, like, I think that that's the right way, because then we don't have any bounds to her. She doesn't feel like we owe anything. It's just the right way.
Danny Austin
Yeah. I'm very good with, like, boundaries when it comes to work and friends and family.
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
Like, I am, like, and it's not because I just woke up when I was good at it. It's because I've learned from many mistakes.
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
But, like, I think it even. I think it even, like, annoys people how much, like, I keep my boundaries because people are like, oh, just this one time, or just like, danny, it's fine. And I'm like, no, because.
Jordan Austin
Because it's never just this one.
Danny Austin
It's never just this one time.
Jordan Austin
And it's never just this photo shoot. And it's never just this. It's like all these. Because then. And this has never happened. But let's say your mom's like, hey, I'm doing this, or I'm launching this, and I want you to be in this photo shoot. Okay, well, let's say that photo shoot makes the launch do really well. Then it's not just that one time. It's like, then the brand's gonna come back and be like, hey, you know, it works really well whenever it was Danny and you. And so then.
Danny Austin
But it's like, it's not even about the logistics. Sometimes it's just, like, the expectations that people want from me that I feel guilty to. Like, I. It emotionally impacts me. So I just try not to even go there.
Jordan Austin
You've gotten so much better. You remember? Oh, man. Like, 20, 21, you had just, like, vultures all over you with these expectations, you know?
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Jordan Austin
Because I feel like your boundaries have gotten so much better.
Danny Austin
Yeah. Cause I, like, won't do, like, I will not do, like, collabs and stuff that are like. Like, if I want somebody to do something for me, like, I always pay them. Like, my friends are in my sheets. Like, I pay them, like, because. And everybody. Like, my friends are like, dude, we have to pay us. And I'm like, no, like, you don't understand. Like, it's for the health of our relationship. It's. It's for just keeping everything fair because, like, life gets really busy, and sometimes you miss those little things that rub people the wrong way. And so I just. And, like, sometimes I'm not able to prioritize my friendship, so I never want my friends to feel that resentment towards me because sometimes they know they're not going to become first in my life. And so sometimes it's going to be family. Sometimes it's going to be health, sometimes it's going to be my kids, school or whatever. And so. And friendships are different in different seasons of life. And so I'm just like, I just don't want to go. I want it always to be fair.
Jordan Austin
No, for sure. You've gotten so much better at it. I was going to say something to you.
Danny Austin
And I even have gotten better about how much I give to people. Like, sometimes I've given people, like, these, like, extravagant gifts because I'm so gracious, like, you know, or is like the most giving.
Jordan Austin
Or if you're around when Danny's cleaning out her closet, you are about to make bank on some trash bags of clothes.
Danny Austin
So true.
Jordan Austin
Literally, cleaning lady will make out like a bandit.
Danny Austin
I'm not gonna say who, but I had someone, like, in my closet, and they're like, I really like this Louis Vuitton backpack. I was like, you can have it. I kind of regret it, though. Sometimes I think about it, I'm like, I really wish I had that back. I was like, just in one of those modes where I was like, oh, you just have it.
Jordan Austin
There is one area in terms of, like, work expectations that I'm a little bit concerned about that I haven't brought up to you.
Danny Austin
Wait, I didn't finish my story. I lost it.
Jordan Austin
Oh, I thought it was over.
Danny Austin
No, I was saying, oh, oh, oh. I think I was just saying, oh. There's been times in the past where I've been too. Too gracious. No, like, you know, like, you're just like, on one of those modes where you're like, I was gonna buy them, like, this thing, like, you know, because you're just like, I just want to, like, bless them.
Jordan Austin

Okay, I don't know if anyone else does this, but every summer I get to a point where I look in my closet and realize half of what I own is either uncomfortable, too trendy or or just not something I actually reach for anymore. Lately I've been trying to simplify things and invest in pieces that are comfortable, easy to style, and feel a little more elevated. That's exactly why I've been loving quints. One of my favorite things about quints is that they focus on really high quality essentials without the luxury markup. I'm talking beautiful linen pieces, organic cotton, washable silk, and those classic staples that make getting dressed so much easier. Personally, I've been reaching for their linen pieces non stop. They're lightweight, comfortable, comfortable and somehow make you feel put together even when you're running around with kids all day. And that's honestly my favorite kind of clothing right now. I also love that quint works directly with ethical factories and cuts out the middlemen so you're getting incredible quality without paying the crazy prices you'd expect from similar brands. In fact, everything is priced 50 to 80% less than comparable luxury brands. And it's not just clothing, they have beautiful home, kitchen and bedding pieces too. So it's become one of my favorite places to find elevated everyday essentials. If you haven't tried quince yet, I genuinely recommend checking them out. Elevate your summer wardrobe. of nowhere even your dad goes, what's going on? She goes. He goes, is it like this every night? And I go, no, Mark, I actually don't know what's going on right now.
Danny Austin
I know you know why I did that.
Jordan Austin
No, I don't.
Danny Austin
Well, I love you, but also like, I just know that I'm like really good at making tacos and I, it, it pains me to see you cook something sometimes. And like, I just wanted you to have a good taco. You just don't do it right sometimes. And I was like, I don't think
Jordan Austin
I've ever made a taco.
Danny Austin
I know, but like I have seen you make them and it's just, it's different. It's sad. And I was like, this man deserves a good time.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, okay.
Danny Austin
Like, prepare it the right way. Well, my, my learn melted the exact like, and then just like the right amount of sauce and like the tortillas heated up. Like, Jordan would just take a tortilla and like eat it cold. And I'm like, this poor man that
Jordan Austin
my learned hopelessness is working.
Danny Austin
Yeah. It's just.
Jordan Austin
I'm like, oh. I'm like, how do I make a talker?
Danny Austin
He's like, I'm so hungry. Am I. Am I losing weight? He's like, there's nothing to eat around here.
Jordan Austin
So you were saying?
Danny Austin
So anyway, I was just saying, like, you know, I've gotten better about not being too gracious.
Jordan Austin
That's good. I would. So my.
Danny Austin
I'll give you a gift, but, like, I'm not going overkill. Because I've learned better.
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
Because then I'm like, why didn't you get me something nice, too?
Jordan Austin
For sure. For sure. You know, there is one area I'm. I'm a little bit worried about. Your boundaries. Like, I think that they've been breached.
Danny Austin
Oh, my work boundaries. Okay.
Jordan Austin
I think.
Danny Austin
Oh. Because I was texting the Divi team on a Sunday morning. No, no, I did apologize for that, and that was their fault.
Jordan Austin
No, I'm saying. No, I'm saying, like, for example, you were talking about how sometimes when you ask for things, then it creates this, like, debt, and then, like, the expectations are on you.
Danny Austin
So curious what you're going to say.
Jordan Austin
Well, you got us. You got us for no real reason, in my opinion. You got us, like, free toilets for our new house and.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Jordan Austin
Also, like, you know, a swing set. And, like, you know, there's just. There's a lot of things that are. It's. I.
Danny Austin
Okay. But here's.
Jordan Austin
There's a lot of brand debt.
Danny Austin
Here's the.
Jordan Austin
That you're creating on this house.
Danny Austin
Here's the thing that you don't realize. I went after them.
Jordan Austin
No, I'm. I'm aware.
Danny Austin
They didn't come after.
Jordan Austin
No.
Danny Austin
Didn't come to me and say, hey, Danny, we want to work with you. I said, I want to work with you.
Jordan Austin
No, I know.
Danny Austin
And I don't usually do that.
Jordan Austin
No, you don't.
Danny Austin
I don't reach out to brands.
Jordan Austin
You've been going. You've been going hard because I wanted. I think you got us, like, a free iron door. Like, who even knew that they would know what Instagram was?
Danny Austin
First of all, you're saying all these things, and nothing has been signed and no contract. So, like, we don't know if any of that is even true. I guess you'll have to keep falling to see.
Jordan Austin
Like, I mean, if someone. If someone came and offered us, like, door handles right now, I feel like you'd be like, yes, I will take it. What do you want three story slides, two reels. What do you want?
Danny Austin
Well, it depends on, like, how bad I want them, right?
Jordan Austin
I. Yes, you. Okay. You know what I'm saying?
Danny Austin
You know why I'm also doing that is because the love of the game. That. But also because it's helping me. It's holding me accountable for creating content about things that are cool, you know?
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
Because otherwise, I'll just do something cool and I won't listen.
Jordan Austin
I'm not really that worried about it. You got it.
Danny Austin
Jenny and I are working on a document called how much money Danny saved with her brand partnerships on this house. Okay. And I'm gonna present it to you at the end of the year.
Jordan Austin
I'm gonna be like, that's the equivalent of three brand deals. And now you are locked into content for two years.
Danny Austin
It's like. It's like these brands, like, have, like, my face, like, flashing on ads, like, everywhere for, like, two years. Like, I am the face of iron doors.
Jordan Austin
So true.
Danny Austin
It's like, you can't get on Instagram without seeing an iron door ad in my face. No, I'm just kidding. No, but it's, like, really interesting content that I want to be creating anyway. Like, let's just say I do get a swing set brand deal. Let's just say, hypothetically, like, I can't wait to make a video about that. Let's just say I get an iron door in my house in two different areas, and let's just say one of them is going into where a wine fridge would be. And let's just say I had to pick out the glass. Is it going to be fluted or not fluted? Like, I can't wait. I want to make that video. Like, I want to. And I honestly, like, the biggest reason why I want to work with them is because they know they're ex. They're, like, more of experts than I am. So, like, I want to learn from them, and then I want to share everything I learned.
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
Like, why am I getting this size? Why is this important with this swing set? Why is the iron door, like, why did I do this color? Like, what? You know, it's just so exciting. And, babe, this toilet brand deal, like, it's. It's the. No, it's not. Toto. Bam.
Jordan Austin
Oh, I'm sorry.
Danny Austin
You're gonna get me canceled from all these brands that are wanting to sponsor.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, I know. I know. That's why you don't like that we're talking about this because I'm hurting your negotiations.
Danny Austin
You're hurting negotiations. I knew that. And, like, first of all, I want Kohler toilets. Yeah. And there is a very specific toilet.
Jordan Austin
Toto's right now is like, shit. Literally.
Danny Austin
No, I want Kohler. And there's a very specific, like, Studio McGee collab toilet that I want. And then there's this other toilet that. Babe, it literally, like, has, like, gold on it. It's actually brass, but looks like gold. Okay. And so I. You can ask anyone on my team, considering, like, you don't really know what's going on with my business right now, which is a totally healthy thing. It's fine. But everyone knows that I am most excited about this toilet brand deal.
Jordan Austin
I know. I know.
Danny Austin
The content is going to be so fire, and I just can't wait. I cannot wait to share all my toilets with everybody.
Jordan Austin
No, for sure.
Danny Austin
I, like, if. If there was an influencer that, like, could talk about toilets, it would be me. Like, I am made for this.
Jordan Austin
Are you going to. You know how, like, you made your, you know, your natural birth content drop for, like, two weeks? Everyone thought you were in a hospital.
Danny Austin
I'll probably do that with the toilet content.
Jordan Austin
Well, I just like the house in general, but, yeah, sure. The toilet, too. I was going to say, like, I feel like your house content's going to go for, like. Like, it's. It's 2031. Danny's still talking about this house she moved into.
Danny Austin
Totally. For sure.
Jordan Austin
It. It should be. It's great. It's a new thing.
Danny Austin
Yeah. And if you. If you. If you're a brand and you want to use my house as, like, you
Jordan Austin
better get in on this house because she's about to talk to for. Talk about it for the next six years.
Danny Austin
Like, if you do hardware, if you do turf, like, you could do pipes and drains and I'll, like, you're welcome. Tile.
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
Concrete. I don't need concrete. But concrete's expensive. Maybe another house. I would love to be sponsored by concrete.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, that's. It's. It's interesting. You know what else is interesting that I think you should share? I'm putting you on the spot, but I think you can do this. I want you to tell them about the crimson worm.
Danny Austin
Oh, man.
Jordan Austin
I know. She's thinking about how she's gonna do this. She forgot about 80% of it.
Danny Austin
Well, the scripture is in.
Jordan Austin
Okay, so let me. Let me help you.
Danny Austin
Is it Ezekiel?
Jordan Austin
Yes, Danny. Isaiah.
Danny Austin
Isaiah. See, this is where it's, like, so sad because, like, as a Christian, it's like, we're Called to memorize Scripture, but I'm like, what if God gave me a Woodle Bo? It's not my fault. I feel like I want to learn and, like, I want to remember everything about the Bible, but I just, like, can't. And that's why sometimes I put on those shows that the kids watch and I just have to refresh my memory. It's like. It's like the story about.
Jordan Austin
She's talking about Joseph, the dead seed squirrels.
Danny Austin
No, I'm talking about the Bible series on.
Jordan Austin
Oh, the Joseph.
Danny Austin
But it's like the story, you know, the one that always trips me up is Joseph. And the. The. The Technicolor, the coat. The colorful coat. Coat of mini. I can never remember that story. Do you remember it?
Jordan Austin
No.
Danny Austin
See, I know. And. But all I remember is that his brothers, like, really, like, are mean to him and throw him in jail or something. Anyway, I've literally watched that one, like, 18 times, and I can't remember.
Jordan Austin
It's gonna be so great because by the time we're retired and our kids are out of the house, like, I'm just gonna take you to the same museums, like, over and over again, and you're just gonna.
Danny Austin
I'm like, what started forward to.
Jordan Austin
It's like 50 first dates. It's like we go through the same thing.
Danny Austin
I'm like, it's so sad. But okay, so this is actually very cold. Was it Ezekiel or Isaiah?
Jordan Austin
So Danny. So Danny has been reading the unseen Realm.
Danny Austin
Yes, yes, yes, I have.
Jordan Austin
And sharing it on her stories.
Danny Austin
Well, not, like, anything about it.
Jordan Austin
With no credit. It's fine, though.
Danny Austin
This is not about you, babe. It's about Jesus.
Jordan Austin
So she's been reading on senior, and Danny found the best fact.
Danny Austin
Oh, this had nothing to do with that book. No, but this showed up on my TikTok.
Jordan Austin
It kind of sparked it. And so, yeah, you're. You can take it.
Danny Austin
Okay, so let's see if I can remember this. So the crimson worm, when Jesus is dying on the cross and he's being crucified, he says, my God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Which was first said by King David back in Psalm 22. And in Psalm 22, he's going through some type of suffering. I don't really remember what it was about, but he's suffering. And he says he cries out to God, my God, my God, why have you forsaken me? The same thing that Jesus said while he was on the cross. And in that scripture, he talks about how he. In Psalm 22, 6. He says, I am a worm. And no man, if you go to the, like, Hebrew translation, the Hebrew word for worm was tola, I believe. I don't know how to pronounce it, but that back then was interpreted into like, specifically crimson worm. Crimson worm, which is specific to. This worm, is specific to, like, an area in Israel. Like, they only have these worms in Israel, and they are actual red, like, crimson worms. And they climb up trees whenever they are ready to have babies. And they build this like, kind of like a really hard shell around them when they're about to have babies. And so they latch onto the, Onto the wood and they have their babies. And when the babies come out, the worm sacrifices itself and stays there and the worms literally eat the mom alive. So it sacrifices its body for the baby worms. And when this happens, it creates a red crimson, like a blood, like, stain on the wood. And so it's literally like exactly what Jesus does for us. Like, he sacrificed his body, sacrificed himself for his, you know, for his children, for us. And we basically just like eat off of his flesh and eat up, you know, and like, so that happens. And then in three days, on the fourth, on the third day, the. The shell on the tree literally, like blows away. Like, it just like disappears and it leaves like that red crimson stain.
Jordan Austin
That's crazy.
Danny Austin
Yeah. Isn't that crazy? I feel like there's other parts about it.
Jordan Austin
No, no, no, that was it. That was it. You did. You did great. Yeah, that was it. That was the mic drop. Yeah. It's just so crazy.
Danny Austin
I know.
Jordan Austin
And so the reason I connected to the unseen realm is as you read the unseen realm, I feel like you find so many of these, like, parallels in scripture, like things that were talked about thousands of years is like a prophecy for this. And it's like all just sort of makes sense as this very. Written over multiple books, chapters over thousands of years story that, like, pieces together perfectly.
Danny Austin
Yeah, it's like, like how, like, how could that have happened? It's like the Toba worm, three days sacrifice. It's like, it's too on the nose.
Jordan Austin
It's too on the nose.
Danny Austin
And there's so much. Like you said. Yeah, there's too many scriptures, too. Too many, like, little. It's just. And my thing is, like, what's the purpose of life?
Jordan Austin
Let's ask that right now.
Danny Austin
Like, if you ask people, like, like I asked somebody the other day that, like, wasn't really a believer. I was like, okay, so why do you think we're here? It's like, they never have an answer. It's like, why would we be here?
Jordan Austin
It's. It gets harder. I feel like when you're younger, it's,
Danny Austin
like, harder to be.
Jordan Austin
Like, it's harder to think about that as, like, an adult.
Danny Austin
The purpose of life.
Jordan Austin
Yeah. Or, like, ask, like, really existential questions. Like, I feel like when I was a kid, like, I used to ask all of these, like, existential questions.
Danny Austin
Oh, see, I feel like I'm the opposite.
Jordan Austin
Oh, really?
Danny Austin
Yeah. Now it's, like, so much easier for me to understand, like, the purpose of life. Where, like, back then, I was just, like, I was overwhelmed.
Jordan Austin
Oh. Yeah. I feel.
Danny Austin
And I was like, why do we all. Like, I. I didn't understand, like, life. I was like, why do we get jobs? Why do we go to school? Like, why are we doing all this stuff if none of this actually matters? And then as I get older, I'm like, oh, I see. Little bit of purpose.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, I. Yeah. I don't know. I just. I feel more overwhelmed later in life, like, to where it's like, if you were like, hey, like, what's the meaning of life? I'd be like, I don't.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Well, we're in.
Jordan Austin
I don't. No, I know it. I know the answer. But existential, big questions like that, I
Danny Austin
feel like that's unseen.
Jordan Austin
Maybe it's because we have, like, four young kids. Like, I just don't feel like I have the mental capacity.
Danny Austin
Oh. And then, like, having four young kids. And then, like, also, like, reading scripture about how children are a blessing and, like, how they're a gift. Like, I get it more than ever.
Jordan Austin
Oh, yeah.
Danny Austin
Because I used to be like, no, they're not. Like, you know, feel like I don't get it. And then it's like, it's the same. It's like, the one. It's that feeling, like, when you're first in love and, like, you're so obsessed with someone and, like, you just can't stop thinking about them and you get the butterflies. It's like, I've always said that it's like, with kids, you get that every day.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, I know. True.
Danny Austin
It's like, so. It's such a blessing. It's like, the best thing ever. And then it's like, I just. I feel like this book is actually really helping me understand, like, the purpose of, like, life and, like, why. And then, like, also, like, I never understood why God. Not, like. Like, why does God let bad things happen? You know? But I never. Like, I. And I understood. It's like, oh. Because it draws us closer to him. But, like, I understand it so much more now about, like, why there's so much, like, sin in the world and why all these bad things happen. It's like, because that was a gift that God gave us, was free will. And as soon as we accept, as soon as, like, free will entered, like, this. This world and like, it's on earth and that. That created sin, and, like, God can't come in and clean up every single thing because then that's him controlling us again.
Jordan Austin
Totally.
Danny Austin
And so. But so our free will was a gift. And so that's the. The flip side of that is that evil entered and, like, sin and sickness and all this stuff. And so I get it more now. It's like, it's. That's. That's part of free will.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, you got to finish the book, too.
Danny Austin
I know. It's like, when I got sick, I got a little depressy, and then I. I don't like to, like, read when I'm depressed. I like to, like, binge really bad shows.
Jordan Austin
Yeah. Are you going to read my next book, too, about the Federal Reserve? No, I'll tell you about it.
Danny Austin
That's, like, a little too over my head.
Jordan Austin
There's a funny story.
Danny Austin
We had that meeting with her bank. I didn't understand the word they said. I was sitting there like. And they're like. And then the depreciation adds up on the gains and the capital gains up in the end.
Jordan Austin
And I'm like, this is actually really funny. So I'm reading this book about the Federal Reserve, and I take Danny to a meeting with our bankers, and I'm like, hey, listen.
Danny Austin
And I'm like, what does that even mean? Bankers?
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
What are you just, like, holding my money? Like, what you doing over there? Like, you're like, what's a banker even do? Like, are you just standing in front of technically, the big vault with all the money?
Jordan Austin
No, here's the craziest thing. There's not money in the vaults.
Danny Austin
I know, I know, I know.
Jordan Austin
Only 10% of our money is actually God.
Danny Austin
Because think about it. If some. If it was in there and somebody broke it.
Jordan Austin
No, you don't understand. I'm about to get on a. It's called fractional reserve banking. And what it means is that if I give the bank a hundred dollars, they only have to keep 10 of that. Those dollars on their balance sheet. They can lend and then they go invest it. No, no. Lend to other people.
Danny Austin
Yeah, they go invest it or lend it out to other people. Yeah, our money's just all circulating.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, it's all circulating.
Danny Austin
I know. I knew that.
Jordan Austin
So if we went to the bank and we were like, hey, give us.
Danny Austin
Yeah, they don't have it. You have to give them, like, enough.
Jordan Austin
Like, no, no, they. They probably have ours. But like, if 15 to 20% of all.
Danny Austin
Yeah, everybody. They wouldn't have it.
Jordan Austin
It'd be a bank run.
Danny Austin
I know. That's why you have to get gold.
Jordan Austin
Well, no, we're off the gold standard
Danny Austin
now too, but one day maybe.
Jordan Austin
Okay. Anyway, we'll talk about this a whole another episode.
Danny Austin
Can I just ask you think.
Jordan Austin
I'm trying to get the author of this book on. He's 94.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
So it's like.
Danny Austin
Is a. I don't know if he's. Is a banker, like the same thing as, like an accountant, but they just work the bank.
Jordan Austin
No, so a banker. A banker's job is to get your money into their bank number one. So relationships. And then they are good at basically helping you with any problems that come up with regards to your money. Whether that.
Danny Austin
Which is like literally everything. So, like, what? Like, I just talked to them about everything.
Jordan Austin
No mortgages. Yeah, you call them and you're like, hey, we just got a new house.
Danny Austin
I'm like, I just made this really big Zara order.
Jordan Austin
And they don't get involved at like, the transaction level.
Danny Austin
Okay, so like mortgages. What else?
Jordan Austin
So mortgages, like, as your. Your portfolio grows, like, you can start doing more things with it. Like, you can say, hey, I don't want to actually put 30% down on this house. You know, can you let me pledge some of my stock assets against the down payment so that I can keep putting my cash in stocks and stuff? But that's like a different level. Like most bankers, like Chase, the retail.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Jordan Austin
You know that we used to be at the retail Chase. It's there for service, convenience, so that like when you need to deposit a check, you can go into the branch, you can sit down with someone and ask them questions about, like, investing. They have like a wealth management division, which is separate from just standard banking. That's where they take your money and they help you invest your money.
Danny Austin
Oh, wait, who does that? What's who? That.
Jordan Austin
That's like a wealth manage. It's usually like wealth management within a big bank.
Danny Austin
So what. Why would you hire wealth manager inside of a bank instead of like one outside of a bank?
Jordan Austin
Because when you hire them inside of a bank, they typically, like, want access to all of your assets, so they have a broader understanding. Like if. If you called someone outside of your bank, you can obviously give them insight into where your cash is and where your different assets are. But typically when someone's managing your money, the more holistic approach they can take, the better, because then they're able to diversify things.
Danny Austin
And so when people have, like, family offices.
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
What are they doing? They're just like. It's like having bakers in house.
Jordan Austin
When you're a family office, you kind of become the bank depending on the size.
Danny Austin
Like, you hire basically a banker in house to, like, invest your money.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, but it's not a banker to
Danny Austin
make sure to pay your bills.
Jordan Austin
It's not a banker. It's like, when you're a family office, someone who needs a loan can come to you and you can do a private credit deal and say, hey, I'll loan you this money.
Danny Austin
So when you're a family office, you're
Jordan Austin
a bank, you can. If you want to get into private credit, then you can become a bank.
Danny Austin
So then you, like, lend people and then you charge interest and you. You make money off of your money.
Jordan Austin
So, like, if some people, some people who can't get a loan at, like, a standard bank because their risk profile, like a JP Morgan, you know, who we're with is just not good for, doesn't want to do this type of asset. So then you go to a family office and they can do more like debt and equity or something like that. And so they'll become the bank, and then they will become your lender and. Or your partner in the. The company.
Danny Austin
What a disaster.
Jordan Austin
What? Sorry? What's a disaster?
Danny Austin
It's just, like. It's overwhelming. I can't, like, I don't know how people do it.
Jordan Austin
Yeah. So anyway, here's the funniest story. So we go in with our bankers, who are great, but they were all like. They were all great. They were super sweet. They, like, got us lunch. So anyway, we bank with JP Morgan. Highly recommend them. They're awesome. And I'm reading this book about the Federal Reserve, and obviously, like, the banking in America was like, Rothschilds, JP Morgan, like, all these people. And so I tell Danny a story when we're walking. I'm like, hey, listen, like, you know that ship, the Lusitania that sank after the Titanic? And she's like, yeah.
Danny Austin
And I'm like, before the Titanic?
Jordan Austin
No, it was after. I was like, allegedly, it sank by German u boats because J.P. morgan needed to draw us into World War II. And so I tell Danny that as we're like in this skyrise building, sitting across from the Dallas Federal Reserve. And I was like, they walk in and Danny goes, I go, tell them. Hey, tell them that story about J.P. morgan. I go, danny, no. And she goes. I go. And they go, yeah, tell us. And I go, guys, y' all wouldn't be interested. It's the deep tracks. And she goes, no, no, Jordan, you should tell them. So I tell them. I'm like, yeah, have y' all ever heard of Lusitania? And they're like, yeah. And I'm like, well, there's a theory
Danny Austin
that your founder, that your founder started
Jordan Austin
let it be sank by the Germans so that we could get drawn into war too. And the room just fell totally flat.
Danny Austin
Was the Lusitania like a, like a luxury? Like just a ship? Like kind of like the Titanic?
Jordan Austin
It was a luxury liner.
Danny Austin
But why did Germany bomb it?
Jordan Austin
So, okay, here's what's crazy is it was a luxury liner and basically there were like 1600Americans on it. But the Germans, before it took off from New York or wherever, ran ads in several newspapers that were like, do not board this ship if you're American. Like, this is going to come into war torn waters essentially, and we will have no choice but to sink it. It also was built as like a warship. So there were two ships built at the same time, Lusitania and then like the Marionetta or something. And the Marionetta got repurposed for war. But if you went on the Lusitania, it had like all of the hatches and things for guns and to be set up if it needed to be converted. And so the allegation was that we were transporting weapons to Britain to basically offload from Lusitania to supply them. So the Germans caught wind of this and were like, yeah, now, no, you can't, you can't do that. We're going to sink this ship. But that ended up being the, the, the pivotal moment that drew us into the world.
Danny Austin
Were there weapons on it?
Jordan Austin
This is like a deep conspiracy theory. Like they, I mean, there, what, there are weapons. There's a book, there's a book called Dead Wake that I'm reading and I haven't gotten to that part, but they dove for it. So they found it. This was like in The, I don't know, 90s or something, they found it and they didn't. I don't, I don't want to misspeak because I haven't read this yet, but I don't think it was Sank by a German U boat because there was no, like, missile damage, but it imploded from the inside. So the allegation is like, there were weapons that, like, combusted.
Danny Austin
Oh, so this isn't like a confirmed thing that Germany bombed
Jordan Austin
was. Okay, so, you know, like the Gulf of Tonkin, they got us into Vietnam.
Danny Austin
Yes.
Jordan Austin
That ended up being a huge, like, false flag event. So this is like that of World War II. It's like, it's like, alleged to be the false flag event that allowed for us to get into war. And the conspiracy side of it was that JP Morgan, like, really needed, like, he had. He had debt out because all these big bankers used to fund both sides of every war. And so the whole book's thesis is that, like, war is a construct by the bankers. And we're sitting with our bankers and Danny's like, you should tell them this story. And I go. I go. So the room falls flat and I go, you know, let's not talk about JP Morgan in his own house.
Danny Austin
They're like, oh, we don't know, babe.
Jordan Austin
Like, there's like, there's like conspiracy theory, then there's like the deep tracks, then there's like, tinfoil hat. And you, like, literally asked me to tell our bankers, like, a tinfoil hat, like, level conspiracy theory.
Danny Austin
Well, you shouldn't tell me things that you don't want to share with people.
Jordan Austin
I just. I told you in confidence 10 minutes before they walked in over a Diet Coke. Just leaked it.
Danny Austin
I bet they loved it, babe.
Jordan Austin
Maybe I couldn't tell if they liked us or not. If I'm be honest.
Danny Austin
They said that they do like 10 of those lunches a week.
Jordan Austin
Oh, yeah, that's. They're.
Danny Austin
They're just like.
Jordan Austin
I felt so special. I was like, we are so honored to be here. I was like, danny got out of the house for this.
Danny Austin
Yeah. And then we were like, how many do you do a week? And they're like, oh, they probably do 10 of these a week. And we're like, yeah. So anyway, we're going to Nashville. We are going to Nashville. Oh, yeah. We're going to be launching our pink dry shampoo, Citrus. Sunkissed Citrus is our new scent. It smells good. Delish. And we're having an event in Nashville, a big parte. And it's going to be fun because it's also like, kind of like our welcome to Nashville party.
Jordan Austin
Macy said I can invite 20 to 30 friends.
Danny Austin
Whoa, that's a lot.
Jordan Austin
I know. I'm going to invite 20 or 30 friends.
Danny Austin
You should.
Jordan Austin
I don't have. Do I have 20? I can come up with 10.
Danny Austin
Yeah, I have a few people that I want to invite too.
Jordan Austin
Yeah. I don't know who's coming from your crew already.
Danny Austin
Yeah, well, from Dallas, I think Janine is the only one that rsvp.
Jordan Austin
Okay.
Danny Austin
So. Yeah, so that'll be fun. And then we're doing, like, a lot of house stuff. I'm also looking to hire some people in Nashville, so.
Jordan Austin
Yeah. I got us a doctor today.
Danny Austin
Oh, yeah? Did you like him? Great.
Jordan Austin
Yeah. Great.
Danny Austin
Is he concierge? Can you come to our house?
Jordan Austin
She is, yeah.
Danny Austin
Oh, love it. That's so, like.
Jordan Austin
Well, they're not, like, it's not as fancy as you think. It's basically like you only do it when you're sick and we don't get sick. I'm sorry. We get. You get to go on.
Danny Austin
I. Babe, when you say stuff like that, like, our kids are sick every week.
Jordan Austin
I know. I'm sorry.
Danny Austin
It's like, whenever you said that, going from three to four kids is not hard.
Jordan Austin
Yeah. I think I rescinded that publicly. Right?
Danny Austin
Yeah. You didn't.
Jordan Austin
I did. That was. I. I redact. I redact that semen.
Danny Austin
Yeah.
Jordan Austin
And.
Danny Austin
And like, our kids do get psycho locks, too.
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
It's stupid. Stupid. He's like, we never see the doctor. I'm like, she's literally on sweet Al here once. I think she was here yesterday.
Jordan Austin
What I mean is, I never get sick.
Danny Austin
But this isn't about you, though, babe.
Jordan Austin
No, I know.
Danny Austin
Wait, was the doctor for the kids or for us? Both. I love that. So it's all one.
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
Oh, this is so great. I was so worried.
Jordan Austin
And everyone knows each other. That's the craziest thing. It's like a small town. They're like, oh, you talk to this person. Oh, you talk to this person.
Danny Austin
Speaking of which, this lady on Instagram is going on sharing my address. I'm not going to share it. Who? Because I'm not trying to take anybody down, but she's trying to take me down. She's been commenting. Okay. She commented on one of my posts and was like, you guys, you tore down my parents house of 50 years and then built your house on top of it. I'm like, what are you talking about? Like, we just were in Nashville one day and saw a house going up and then bought it from a builder. I'm like, I literally don't know what you're talking about. And then she's like, people are like calling Back. And then she like, shares our address.
Jordan Austin
I do think so.
Danny Austin
Then I sent her a dm Intern was like, what do you mean? But I'm always like, I always think about, oh, is this going to be screenshotted and shared to cancel me. So I always am like, very, like, yeah, like I'm very matter of fact. And. And I'm not nice, but I'm not mean. I'm like, hey, can you please respect us and take this down?
Jordan Austin
I do think that we're gonna experience more of that in Nashville. Not us, but just I think Nashville natives are like, pretty bittersweet about new people coming in, you know, because they're like, oh, man. Like, this is like our small town. They don't want it to change. But what I want to say to any Nashville people listening to is, we want your way of life. We don't want to bring our own. We just want to be invited into yours. Because they're probably worried about change. And I'm like, hey, we're not here to change anything. We didn't knock down your parents house.
Danny Austin
Okay. This is so funny. Her husband just DM'd me. Well, I DM'd like them saying, hey, can y' all please stop sharing the address? Should I read it?
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
Okay.
Jordan Austin
Did he apologize for her?
Danny Austin
So I said, it's come to my attention so. And so is sharing our address online. She's been telling people we bought her old house and tore it down, which is not correct. We don't even live in Nashville. We saw the house being built on a trip and then bought from a builder. If you see this before her, do you mind asking her to please delete anywhere she's sharing our address online? We have four small children and I would really appreciate. Appreciate or I would. I would really like to protect our safety.
Jordan Austin
Oh, you DM'd him.
Danny Austin
Yeah. I said, can you guys please respect that? Because she was like, sharing our address online and she isn't like, online.
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
So I was like, hey, can you please stop? Completely understand. I'll ask her to take down the comments. As with many neighborhoods in Brentwood, developers are going in and buying an older house, is tearing it down and building a new house and selling it. Nothing wrong with that at all. That's how a real estate business works. Blank. Understandably, got. Understandably, got very emotional seeing the lot where her childhood home used to stand and seeing strangers parade around in a new house built on the property and seeing strangers parade around in a new house built on the property. But it doesn't excuse the comments she made, and I know she and I would feel the same as you if we were in your position. I know it will ease the emotion she's trying. She's going through to know that a young family will build their own awesome memories in the same spot her family did.
Jordan Austin
I'm so confused.
Danny Austin
No, I'm. I'm sorry. There's no excuse for, like, what you're. Like, he's, like, making excuses for her, and, like, I'm sorry. There's no, like, excuses. Like, it's just wrong. And I know he's trying to be nice and stuff, but, like, understandably, she got emotional seeing this. Like, I understand that emotions get high, but sharing my address online doesn't negate that. Like, that doesn't. That's not the right thing to do. Like, I get hurt by things too. Like, I'll see people together, and I'm like, I wish that I was there or whatever, but I don't go, like, commenting and making, like, comments about it to hurt people. So, like, understandably. No, I don't understand.
Jordan Austin
It's kind of, like, oddly narcissistic. Right? Because it assumes that we, like, know.
Danny Austin
And I'm, like, parading around your home. I'm like, dude, I didn't even know. Like, I literally was visiting that first of all. In this neighborhood. Yes. That. That happens on our street too. That's happening to my childhood home. Like, it is the way that it is, and, like, I have nothing to. To do with that.
Jordan Austin
Yeah. I wish you would do better, though. I wish you would just do better. Can you just think about it?
Danny Austin
And so I. I would. I need to do better.
Jordan Austin
Yeah.
Danny Austin
I'm listening and learning.
Jordan Austin
Yeah. Wow. That was a whole era. Yeah. You need to listen and learn. Learn and listen.
Danny Austin
And the way he said parading around the new home, I'm like, what do you mean, parade? Yeah, it's a home that we bought.
Jordan Austin
I mean, it was. It was. It was. It gave parade vibes. The. The real.
Danny Austin
In a home that we bought.
Jordan Austin
No, I'm joking. Yes, of course. We're parading around our home. We just bought. We. We're happy. We're happy. We're trying to create childhood memories. Like, you. What's her name? I'm not Cynthia.
Danny Austin
I'm not gonna share, but, you know, I could. And, like, here's the thing.
Jordan Austin
Let me see.
Danny Austin
Let me see, Mr. I'm hormonal right now. I just had a baby.
Jordan Austin
That's true. I was gonna say this is, like, this should stay in the pod. Because it's. It's a. It's a real look at postpartum.
Danny Austin
No, because, like, I have problems, too. Okay? And so you're messaging me and putting my address out there. Like, that affects me, too. I'm sad.
Jordan Austin
Yeah. We could sue. Honestly, I think that when people. When someone who they think will never see their message. DMs back. I think it's actually a very embarrassing, shameful experience because they're like, oh, my gosh.
Danny Austin
Like, people saw it.
Jordan Austin
Like, I literally felt so righteous in doing this, but then when I experienced some type of opposing force, it's like, oh, shoot,
Danny Austin
you know what I'll probably do? I'll probably send him a voice memo.
Jordan Austin
Okay, you do what you think is right.
Danny Austin
Honestly, it's. It's just a shame that I'm, like, hormonal, because, like, if I wasn't hormonal, I probably would drop this.
Jordan Austin
Yeah, that's what I'm saying is maybe you shouldn't send a voicemail.
Danny Austin
No, but here's the thing. I'm going to be so, like. Like. Like, I'm. I just. Everything I ever do online like this, I always imagine being shared to the. The masses.
Jordan Austin
No, I think you'll.
Danny Austin
Tactically, like I said, it's why I never showed nudes.
Jordan Austin
It's, like, why? It's why. Well, for all Nashville natives, we are really happy to be there. We don't plan on making or causing any trouble. We just want to be a part of your world. Okay. Dani will be done with her hormones pretty soon, so it's all gonna be okay.
Danny Austin
I'm like, okay, well, we love you guys.
Jordan Austin
Goodbye.
