Alhamdulillah, we pray. May Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, accept our dua. May Allah accept our prayers. May Allah protect us all in our families. Brothers and sisters, Alhamdulillah, my short reminder this morning is to remind you as a brother in faith that make dua and be certain in your dua. Certainty in dua. As human beings, brothers and sisters, at some point of our lives, we will be faced with trials and tests. And this is the promise of Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala as he said, Allah promised to test us, so we will face tests. We will go through many tests and trials and tribulations. Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala said Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala promised to test us. So you will be tested. But subhanallah, sometimes the tests, you know, it becomes so, you know, overwhelmed that we feel that nothing is working. We tried everything because it's so huge on us that we become overwhelmed that Subhanallah, what is happening? I did this. I did this. I did this. It's not happening. Subhanallah Brothers and sisters, we are blessed with one thing and that thing is called but subhanallah, make dua with certainty. Be certain in your dua. If only you know who you are calling upon. Allah is waiting to respond to you. And. And he promised to respond to you. And your lord said, call upon me, I will respond to you. Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala is waiting to respond to you because he is al Mujibu, the responsive God, the one who penetrate through every obstacle in order to respond to your dua. So, brothers and sisters, at dua a dua is our weapon, is what you have that will give you the calmness, the happiness and the hope and tranquility. Because you know you are calling Allah. You know who Allah is. Allah. You are calling upon the one who raised the sky without any pillar that you see. You know he can solve your problem. Just look up. Look, we are in the Masjid Mashallah, Epic Masjid. May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala bless you all. We have pillars holding this building. Without these pillars, the building will collapse. But Subhanallah, go outside and look up. You see the sky. Have you ever seen any pillar holding the sky? The one you are calling upon is the one who raised the sky without any pillar that you see. And you know he can solve your problem. So call with certainty. Look at his sign again. Just look at the bird glide in the atmosphere. Do they not see the bird glide in the atmosphere? Sometimes, brothers, the bird will Spread its wings. Sometimes it hold the wings, but it's not going to fall. None is keeping that bird from falling except who Allah. So Allah. Those who believe. This is a sign for you to know how great your Lord is. So be certain. When you are making Dua. You are calling upon the One who gives hope after people have lost hope. You are calling the One who give gives hope after people have lost hope. Listen to the Ayah. Allah will let the Allah is the One who sent the winds and it raised the clouds and he spread it in the sky as he wills. And he breaks it into fragments. And you see rain coming forth from the cloud when he makes that rain fall upon whom he wills of his slaves either whom he established. Now they are joyful, they are happy. But listen to this my point here. Even though before the coming of the rain they were in despair, they lost hope. So Allah is telling you further. Just look further. Observe. Look at the traces of Allah's mercy. How he revives the earth after its death. So Allah can change your sadness to happiness. He is Al Qadir. Allah can change your sadness to happiness. Allah can make it happen. The Prophet said. Allah said in Hadith Al Qudsi. He said I am for my slave. What he thinks of me. So how do you think? And what do you think about Allah? What is your hope in Allah? Do you know who Allah is? If you know, then make dua with certainty. Make dua with hope. Because you know he can. And whenever he decrees a martyr, he says to eat. What? I want to hear you what he says what Kun? This is the Lord that you are calling upon. When he decreases a matter, he says to it be and it is. This is Allah. Didn't you hear? Indeed. Nuhun called upon us and we were the best to respond. Because Allah is who? Al Mujeeb. The responsive God. The one who answers his slaves whenever they call Him. So call with certainty. And let me give you one last example, brothers and sisters. Just you remember what happened to Musa, him and his companions. Him and his people in front of them, the sea behind them. Fir'aun as Allah says, you have Allah. Allah is there for you. Brothers and sisters in faith. If you want your Dua to be answered, have Al Ikhlas. Be sincere with Allah. Know that you have no one except Allah. Know that Allah is able. He is Al Qadr. He can take care of you. He can remove the pain. He can change things. He can bring happiness after sadness. Always be sincere with Allah that you believe in him hundred percent that he can solve your problem believing in him. Is there any God with Allah is only Allah. He is the only one who removed the tribulation. May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala solve all our problems. Brothers and sisters, in faith, at the end, I want to remind you with the poem of Imam Fahasbuk Allah, you have Allah. Remember, you have Allah and Allah is waiting to receive you. So number two, we say ikhlas. Number two, think positive of Allah. Number three, make sure you eat halal. Very important, make sure you eat halal. Whatever you put in your mouth, in your stomach, make sure it's halal. But sometimes you may ask, but some people are eating haram and Allah keep blessing them. That's not blessing, it's called a damaging blessing. It's called. So, brothers and sisters, make sure what you eat is halal and always continue the dua. Do not stop. Be steadfast in your dua. And be patient if you want your dua to be accepted. You see one thing, brothers. Allah's time is the best and he knows best, right? Allah's time is the best and whatever he does is good. Moon. So brothers and sisters, make dua with certainty believe that Allah can solve our problems.

Host: Digital Islamic Reminder
Guest Speaker: Ustadh Abdulrashid Umar
Release Date: August 13, 2024
In this illuminating episode of Digital Islamic Reminder, Ustadh Abdulrashid Umar delivers a profound Fajr Khatira (early morning reminder) titled "Make Duaa with Certainty." The session focuses on the power of supplication (duaa) in a believer's life, emphasizing unwavering trust and certainty in one's prayers to Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala). Ustadh Umar addresses the challenges faced by Muslims in their spiritual journeys, particularly during times of trials and tribulations, and provides insightful guidance on harnessing the full potential of duaa.
The Inevitability of Trials and Tests
Ustadh Umar begins by acknowledging that trials and tribulations are an integral part of a Muslim's life, as promised by Allah:
"Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala promised to test us. So you will be tested."
(00:45)
He reassures listeners that these tests, while overwhelming, are opportunities for growth and strengthened faith.
The Power of Certainty in Duaa
The cornerstone of the khatira is the emphasis on making duaa with absolute certainty. Ustadh Umar underscores the importance of having unwavering belief in Allah's ability to answer prayers:
"Make duaa with certainty. Be certain in your duaa."
(02:10)
He elaborates that understanding and acknowledging Allah as Al-Mujibu (the Responsive God) empowers believers to approach Him with confidence, knowing that He listens and responds:
"Allah is waiting to respond to you because He is Al-Mujibu, the responsive God, the one who penetrates through every obstacle in order to respond to your duaa."
(03:20)
Allah’s Omnipotence and Signs in Nature
To illustrate Allah's omnipotence, Ustadh Umar draws parallels between natural phenomena and divine intervention:
"Do you see the birds gliding in the atmosphere without any visible pillars holding the sky? Just as Allah raised the sky without any pillars, He can solve your problems beyond what you can imagine."
(05:15)
He encourages listeners to observe the signs of Allah's mercy in everyday life, such as the way birds navigate the skies unhindered, symbolizing trust in Allah’s unseen support.
Hope and Renewal Through Allah’s Mercy
Ustadh Umar highlights Allah's ability to transform despair into hope, much like how rain revives the earth after drought:
"Observe how Allah revives the earth after its death. He can change your sadness to happiness. He is Al-Qadir, Allah is capable of everything."
(09:50)
He references the Ayah about Allah sending winds to raise clouds, breaking them into fragments to bring rain upon His chosen servants, restoring their joy after a period of hopelessness:
"Allah sends winds, raises clouds, and spreads them in the sky as He wills. He makes the rain fall upon whom He wills."
(07:40)
Sincerity and Ikhlas in Duaa
The importance of sincerity (ikhlas) is a recurrent theme. Ustadh Umar advises that duaa should be made with pure intentions and complete reliance on Allah:
"Have ikhlas. Be sincere with Allah. Know that you have no one except Allah."
(12:30)
He emphasizes that understanding and believing in Allah’s sole ability to resolve issues is crucial for duaa to be effective.
Patience and Trust in Allah’s Timing
Recognizing that Allah’s response to duaa may not always be immediate, Ustadh Umar encourages patience and steadfastness:
"Be patient if you want your duaa to be accepted. Allah’s time is the best, and whatever He does is good."
(14:10)
He reassures listeners that Allah’s wisdom surpasses human understanding, and His timing is perfect.
Practical Steps to Enhance Duaa Effectiveness
Towards the end, Ustadh Umar provides practical advice to ensure that duaa is made with the right mindset and conditions:
Ikhlas (Sincerity): Ensure that duaa is made purely for Allah’s sake.
Positive Perception of Allah: Maintain a hopeful and positive outlook on Allah’s capabilities.
Consuming Halal: Emphasize the importance of eating halal to purify oneself and ensure blessings are genuine:
"Make sure you eat halal. Whatever you put in your mouth, make sure it's halal."
(13:20)
He warns against the misconception that eating haram may bring temporary blessings, labeling it as a "damaging blessing."
Steadfastness and Patience: Continue making duaa consistently and remain patient for its acceptance.
Historical Examples and Quranic References
Ustadh Umar refers to the story of Prophet Musa (Moses) and his companions as a testament to the power of trusting duaa amidst dire circumstances:
"Remember what happened to Musa and his people—sea in front, Pharaoh behind. They called upon Allah, and He delivered them."
(15:00)
This example serves to inspire believers to maintain their faith and reliance on Allah during their own challenging times.
