OnlyJayus joins Digital Social Hour for a raw conversation about blowing up online, surviving cancel culture, religion, politics, sexuality, feminism, foster care, and why the creator economy is way more unstable than people think. She opens up about how her viral “fun fact” videos started from insecurity, how TikTok changed her life, and why getting canceled at the peak of cancel culture forced her to rebuild mentally. She also talks about going back to school, growing up with 11 siblings, being placed in foster care after coming out, and why she now sees social media as fragile instead of permanent. This episode goes everywhere. Debates. Christian nationalism. Trump. Feminism. Red Pill content. Adult content platforms. Foster care. Healthcare. Taxes. Government programs. And the strange reality of getting paid to work out online. It’s funny, chaotic, honest, and surprisingly deep. ⏱️ Chap...

Only JS
Well, I got fired from my job at Best Buy in October, and two weeks later I hit a million. My topic was, I think organized religion is harmful. Just religion in general, especially getting integrated into politics is extremely harmful.
Podcast Host
Christian nationalism, I think it's like Sharia
Only JS
law a little bit.
Podcast Host
You're that opposed to it?
Only JS
100%. You know my text messages that got me canceled.
Podcast Host
Okay, guys, here with only js. You don't do any podcasts, so thanks for coming on.
Only JS
Of course. This is two years in the making. I remember you messaged me years ago and it's like years ago if I ever end up in Vegas. Sure, but now you're here.
Podcast Host
Yeah. You didn't come to Vegas. But I came to. You don't want to gamble in Vegas
Only JS
or I lose a lot of money. I'm from there, actually. I don't gamble. It's a bad idea.
Podcast Host
Yeah. Locals should not gamble. I tell that to anyone that thinks about living there. Bad karma destroy you. But how was your night yesterday? You have a long night?
Only JS
You had a long night too?
Podcast Host
Yeah. Slept at 12 and got up at 4.
Only JS
I have not slept yet. I ended up at my first orgy. I don't even know how to begin on that one. Great time. Good experience. I had fun with the cat that was there just in the corner.
Podcast Host
You weren't participating?
Only JS
I'm a little shy, but I was there. I was in the presence of it happening.
Podcast Host
Was it planned or just.
Only JS
No.
Podcast Host
Spontaneous.
Only JS
All lesbians too.
Podcast Host
Really?
Only JS
No men.
Podcast Host
They were all sober or. Walk me through the. No.
Only JS
No. Do you know what flitch is?
Podcast Host
Flitch Foot. No.
Only JS
It's like the lesbian event of the month.
Podcast Host
Okay.
Only JS
It's like the only gay thing that we have.
Podcast Host
Foot.
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
And what happens at these.
Only JS
There's a lot of lesbians coming to. I. I've been to foot so many times. I've never had. No, I don't even.
Podcast Host
I don't know.
Only JS
I don't know. Like I said, I haven't slept yet, but we're having a great time.
Podcast Host
Well, respect for coming, cuz I don't know if I could. Pot on a. They say you're a little drunk when you don't sleep.
Only JS
I believe that. I didn't drive here. I Ubered, so we're good.
Podcast Host
That makes sense. But yeah, they say you're something to do with the brain chemistry. Like you're like, slightly drunk.
Only JS
Yeah. Like, it's actually more dangerous to drive while, like, tired than it. Not more dangerous, but about equally as dangerous.
Podcast Host
Yeah. You're the Fun fact queen.
Only JS
They come out randomly.
Podcast Host
Yeah. You know, so many fun facts. I remember watching your videos years ago because you've been doing this for a while.
Only JS
It's been like seven years.
Podcast Host
Yeah. I feel like I. I watched you like five, six years ago.
Only JS
How long have you been making content?
Podcast Host
Three. Okay, three years. So you were making content before me and used to have the craziest facts.
Only JS
I straight up would just read them online. I would just be like, oh, that's interesting. Let me tell it to the world. 10 million views, really fast and loud in my bathroom.
Podcast Host
For some reason, the format was. Yeah, it was so natural. Right? You were just in your bathroom. Like, here's a fact.
Only JS
Yeah, I didn't like recording with my front facing camera because, like, I had acne. But if I recorded in my mirror, I felt more confident.
Podcast Host
Oh, that's why.
Only JS
That's why I did it, actually. It was an insecurity thing.
Podcast Host
Wow. Did you take Accutane?
Only JS
I take medication. Not Accutane, but I do take medication though.
Podcast Host
Yeah. I had bad acne growing up. I was on Accutane.
Only JS
Yeah. My brother's on Accutane. It sucks.
Podcast Host
I didn't look in the mirror for like, years when I was in high school.
Only JS
Your skin looks really good though. So it works?
Podcast Host
Yeah, it's better now. I mean, it worked physically, but it destroyed me internally.
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
You know, some side effects to it.
Only JS
I feel that.
Podcast Host
But yeah, I didn't look in the mirror for years. So, like, I would brush my teeth and have toothpaste all over my mouth and kids wouldn't tell me at school.
Only JS
Damn.
Podcast Host
Yeah. So I was just walking around with two things.
Only JS
That's sad, like, because acne isn't even really. Like, it's not like, it's not attractive. Like somebody. If somebody likes you, they're not gonna be like, oh, but you got acne.
Podcast Host
Like, okay. Sad that it's an insecure if it's bad acne.
Only JS
I still don't like if I'm attracted to somebody and they have acne. Like, I'm not even looking at it really.
Podcast Host
So have you been with someone with really bad acne?
Only JS
I wouldn't say really bad acne because. I know, but I don't think it would be a deterrent for me.
Podcast Host
So it's not a deal breaker. What is.
Only JS
What is a deal breaker? People who don't use their blinkers when driving. I think that I would. I would lose my.
Podcast Host
Yeah, that would give me anxiety, actually, to be honest. So that's your biggest deal breaker? Huh.
Only JS
That's one of them. Slow walkers is another one. Same bad hygiene.
Podcast Host
Agreed.
Only JS
I think people just don't know their own space. Probably.
Podcast Host
Yeah. Personal space is important. What about height?
Only JS
I have no issues.
Podcast Host
Okay.
Only JS
I've dated short girls. I've dated tall girls.
Podcast Host
Wow.
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
No preference?
Only JS
We're still figuring it out.
Podcast Host
Okay. Yeah, height for me. I don't think I could go tall.
Only JS
You're pretty tall.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
I knew you were tall, but then I saw you in person, I was like, you're tall. God, he's actually tall.
Podcast Host
Six. Six? Yeah. What are you, six?
Only JS
Two.
Podcast Host
That's tall for a girl.
Only JS
It is tall for a girl. You're tall for a guy though.
Podcast Host
So it's like, hello, would you rather be. We're doing some weird questions right now.
Only JS
We're. You ever wear heels? Would you put them on just to see how big you could get?
Podcast Host
No, I think it's kind of like, I don't know.
Only JS
When I put on six inch heels, I'm six foot eight and it's a pretty good time.
Podcast Host
You're taller than me. Oh my God. Six, eight. I don't know. Guys pulling off heels. You think that's the thing.
Only JS
I met a guy last night that was. I think he's 6, 4. He was wearing heels last night and I was like, dude, how are you making it around right now? He was really big.
Podcast Host
Holy crap. He was at this fudge event.
Only JS
He was at a event before. I went to a birthday party before and he was there.
Podcast Host
So that was.
Only JS
They don't like guys at foot.
Podcast Host
Oh, so it's only lesbians?
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
What if you're a gay guy?
Only JS
I mean, you could probably go, but you're not going to have a great time because there's no gay men there.
Podcast Host
Really?
Only JS
Men have their own spaces. Like LA has so many gay bars. There's not really any lesbian bars.
Podcast Host
Oh, so it's a bar.
Only JS
No, it's an event. So we take over. Like gays have their bars. Lesbians take over their bar for a night and we have the lesbian night. But there's no, like, lesbian bars. I found one recently called Untamed Spirits. Highly recommend. It's a sports bar.
Podcast Host
Lesbian sports bar.
Only JS
The first one I found.
Podcast Host
But don't lesbians go to gay bars?
Only JS
Yeah, because there's no lesbian bars.
Podcast Host
Okay, so you want just a lesbian bar?
Only JS
It's. Yeah, it's like love gays, love the community. But like being around lesbians is just a different.
Podcast Host
It's a different vibe.
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
What's it like I've never done it.
Only JS
It's. It's very pretty. There's. I don't even know how to describe it.
Podcast Host
I've never been to a gay bar either.
Only JS
Really?
Podcast Host
I get offered.
Only JS
Do you want to go?
Podcast Host
I would go just for like, oh,
Only JS
my God, I'm offering.
Podcast Host
I would go for the experience.
Only JS
You'd probably get free drinks.
Podcast Host
Really? Gay guys just give you free drinks like that?
Only JS
I get gay guys giving me free drinks and I'm like, you know I'm a lesbian, right? And they're like, it's okay, I'm bi. And I'm like, I don't think it matters that you like men. That doesn't help me, actually.
Podcast Host
They probably think a lot of gay lesbian girls would go towards the guys too, right? Probably because they swing both ways.
Only JS
I mean, if they're asking, it probably has worked before.
Podcast Host
Probably going to work on me. Guys always do that shit, though, you know, Funny. First girl they see, they'll offer them a drink.
Only JS
Yeah, but then if you go to a gay bar and you're a guy, you'll get a drink.
Podcast Host
Yeah, that'd be weird. I would turn it down, I think.
Only JS
Go to like a drag bunch or something. That's more like.
Podcast Host
It's less a drag bunch.
Only JS
Drag brunch.
Podcast Host
Drag brunch?
Only JS
Yeah. So you get brunch and there's a drag queen just performing.
Podcast Host
Wow.
Only JS
It's more low key than, like, going into a bar.
Podcast Host
You go to some interesting events.
Only JS
We're in la.
Podcast Host
A drag brunch. So what are they doing exactly there?
Only JS
They're just. Have you never been to a drag show? No, it's just somebody. It's just. It's a man in women's, like, performative outfits and then they just dance and sing, like lip sync mostly, actually. Wow.
Podcast Host
I've seen the drag queen guy on the Traders. Have you seen that show?
Only JS
No.
Podcast Host
Okay. Yeah, there's a drag queen show, I guess, and it was just some crossover,
Only JS
but you can go and see them in real life and eat food.
Podcast Host
There's probably a ton in Vegas, too. Vegas has all sorts of trash.
Only JS
I haven't been to Vegas in years. I need to go back.
Podcast Host
Do you have a. You ever miss it or.
Only JS
No, I do, but I think it's mostly nostalgia from, like, living there. I. And then I. It's just. I don't know if I could do deal with the heat and like, I got some family out there, but the
Podcast Host
weather here is unbeatable.
Only JS
Yeah, it's. It's 90 in March. It was 90 in February.
Podcast Host
Like, yeah, it's already really hot out there. When did you leave Vegas?
Only JS
In high school.
Podcast Host
Okay.
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
So your family was like, let's dip.
Only JS
The 2008 recession hit us pretty hard. So like, my family got through it by cleaning foreclosed houses, which is crazy. Like, somebody would lose their house and we got to keep ours because would go and clean it for the bank. But eventually that slowed down and my dad found work in California. So we just moved us from Vegas to California. We have more family out here too.
Podcast Host
Is that when you got into social media?
Only JS
I got into social media in college, actually, which was also very strange.
Podcast Host
You went out here?
Only JS
I went to a community college up like Central Valley.
Podcast Host
How was it strange getting in then?
Only JS
Just cuz, like, I didn't realize I was going to blow up. And then all of a sudden, like, my classmates are like watching my videos in class. I can hear my voice. Like, I remember having to ask a teacher to skip a math test because Netflix contacted me. And I was like, I have to do this. He's like, go for it. It was just like. It was a really weird time at that.
Podcast Host
Yeah. You blew up quick, right?
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
How many months in did you blow up, would you say?
Only JS
Well, I got fired from my job at Best Buy in October, and two weeks later I hit a million. And then every month after that it was like another million, another million, another million. And this was before COVID And so when Covid happened, it just. It skyrocketed.
Podcast Host
Wow. So we're going a million every couple of weeks and now you're at like 20 plus or something like that and dropping. Yeah, well, TikTok's dying.
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
It's been done.
Only JS
Yeah. What are we moving to? What's the next platform?
Podcast Host
I just think it's short form in general. I'm not sure which platform, but I'm all in on Instagram and YouTube right now.
Only JS
Like Instagram. I wish they paid.
Podcast Host
Yeah, they paid terribly. Facebook's decent.
Only JS
Facebook's pretty good. But like, Instagram will get like 30 million views a month and it's like, oh, sick. I made 19 cents.
Podcast Host
Literally. Literally. I. I get offered like, do you want the 5,000 bonus this month? I'm like, you're just capping.
Only JS
I would take it.
Podcast Host
It's bs. They don't pay you that. But Facebook, I've seen some big, big pay.
Only JS
Facebook can do pretty good.
Podcast Host
Tik Tok used to pay well.
Only JS
It used to. It.
Podcast Host
You probably lived off that. Just. Just that income, right?
Only JS
That was. Yeah, that Paid my rent pretty good.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
I was one of the first creators to actually start getting paid. They, like, started with a small little group, and I was in that, which was really cool. And then it expanded, and I don't remember when it stopped paying so good. I think it. When it stopped being, like, a creator program, it turned into, like, A.D. yeah.
Podcast Host
They always changed the name of it. It's confusing. Yeah. When did it start going downhill? Was it quick or was it all overnight?
Only JS
TikTok. I don't even think, like, it's more like punctuations. Yeah. Like, I'll have, like, really good months, and then I'll have, like, really bad months, and it kind of flows. I always. It's like a pendulum. It's gonna come back.
Podcast Host
Yeah. Are you crushing it right now or where you at right now?
Only JS
YouTube's doing okay. Tick Tock's not. Facebook's doing okay. Snapchat's doing, like, it. If one platform's doing good, another, you kind of get it.
Podcast Host
Yeah. Yeah. I have certain months where I feel like the man. And then some months, I'm like, damn,
Only JS
where did everybody go?
Podcast Host
I'll get, like, shadow banned one month.
Only JS
You should keep doing this.
Podcast Host
Yeah. That's what I've realized. Even the bad monster, it's all worth it in the end, I feel like.
Only JS
Especially if you keep posting consistently, the algorithm will reward you. When the viewers come back in, they'll watch all this stuff, like, your backlog, everything.
Podcast Host
100. How many times do you post? Right now?
Only JS
I try to post once a day, but I've been kind of. I started school, so I've been kind of.
Podcast Host
Oh, so you're still lazy?
Only JS
I went back to school. Wow. I've been bad with it maybe three, four times a week at this point.
Podcast Host
Why'd you go back?
Only JS
It. Because it fluctuates. This social media stuff is very fragile, and if it ever, like, went away, especially when they were, like, threatening to ban Tick Tock, I was like, like, what am I gonna do? Like, I don't have a degree. I don't want to go back and get a real job. I want to finish it.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
I also have a lot of younger siblings, and they are like, they want to be a YouTuber. They're like, I don't want to go to school. I want to be a YouTuber. I'm like, okay, what if you could do both? And I'm gonna try and, like, show
Podcast Host
them that you're 11 siblings, right?
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
That was crazy.
Only JS
How many do you got?
Podcast Host
None.
Only JS
None. Your only child?
Podcast Host
Yeah. What the. Yeah. Total different lifestyle than you.
Only JS
I can't even imagine. And you probably can't imagine the other way around.
Podcast Host
Yeah, I can't relate to it. I could imagine what it was like. It was probably hectic and you probably didn't have a lot of personal space.
Only JS
Oh, no. I shared a room with four of my sisters. I'm the oldest girl. So, like.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
Every. Every couple years, there was a new one coming into the room.
Podcast Host
Your parents were going hard. Did that inspire you to have a lot of kids?
Only JS
I think I will be a really cool gay aunt. I'll be the rich gay aunt that lives in la. I'll be. I'll be awesome to my niece.
Podcast Host
Yeah. Wow.
Only JS
I took care of enough kids in my lifetime.
Podcast Host
You had to grow up quick, right? A little bit, yeah.
Only JS
Did you grow up slow?
Podcast Host
I grew up slow and quick. I think when the computer came out, I just went all in, you know, So I became an adult from there on.
Only JS
There you go.
Podcast Host
Started figuring out how to make money online. Drop shipping was hot at the time. Did you ever get into that?
Only JS
Friends that did, though.
Podcast Host
Oh, my God, that was hot, like, 10 years ago. So I pretty much became an adult once I started doing that.
Only JS
Making your own money, you know, support yourself. That's good.
Podcast Host
Yeah. Similar to you in college. I feel like that's when you started making it, right?
Only JS
Yeah. Like, I got put in foster care, I think, when I was, like, 15. And so I kind of, like, I grew up a lot then.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
But it wasn't until college, moving out on, like, my actual own, getting my own job, all that.
Podcast Host
Damn.
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
Holy crap. I didn't know about the foster care.
Only JS
It's a. It was a fun time.
Podcast Host
Yeah. Actually. Are you trolling?
Only JS
I. I think it was worth it to go. I wouldn't recommend it for anybody. I get a lot of people, like, asking, like, how do I come out to my parents? I'm like, don't.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
Because, like, what if I just have the fear of, like, what if I tell you to do it? And then you also end up in the system? Like, I usually tell people.
Podcast Host
Oh, wait, that's why you got sent. Are you serious?
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
Holy crap. Religious family or Catholic?
Only JS
11 siblings.
Podcast Host
That makes sense.
Only JS
Yeah. But we're totally cool now. My parents are very accepting now. It just. It took some time.
Podcast Host
Wow. How long did it take for them to come around?
Only JS
Three years, maybe four.
Podcast Host
Three years. Okay. So before you got into making money online.
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
Okay.
Only JS
They were actually. I started talking to them and Then, like, maybe, like a month later, I blew up online. It kind of felt I'm not like, a spiritual person. It was like, oh, the universe is rewarding me right now. Like, it kind of was like, oh, cool. Like, I don't know if that makes sense. Like, I had my family, and I was doing successful at the same time.
Podcast Host
When you say you're not spiritual, do you. You don't believe in God?
Only JS
I believe in God, but I don't know what it is. Okay. I'm not gonna make claims about it. Yeah, yeah.
Podcast Host
That's what I am. But I believe in, I don't know, something.
Only JS
I've just had too many experiences in life that make me think, like, oh, there has to be something. That the coincidences are too weird sometimes, you know?
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
But I'm not going to claim I know what it is.
Podcast Host
Yeah. So you're not a fan of organized religion.
Only JS
Oh, I just did a debate about this the other day.
Podcast Host
I think that's why when I hit you up again, I think I saw you on the Dr. DA. Right.
Only JS
I've been loving that channel. Yeah. I just went. We did 20 liberals, one conservative. It was really fun. We did, like, it wasn't 20 people talking at the same time. It would be, like, four would go up. The conservative would give their prompt. It'd be like, transgenderism is a mental illness. And then we would have to talk to her about it. Yeah, it was fun.
Podcast Host
I like that format because on Jubilee, it gets hectic.
Only JS
I did this surrounded on Jubilee, too, and, like, that was. That was hectic.
Podcast Host
You got to run to the chair.
Only JS
I tried to run to the chair. This is before. So now Jubilee behind the scenes. Jubilee now makes people raise their hands like, oh, you're gonna go, okay, pretend to run to the chair. But when I went, we were running. Somebody twisted their ankle, and I'm just slow. I didn't make it to the chair.
Podcast Host
I was gonna say someone definitely got hurt doing that.
Only JS
Yeah. That's why they switched it.
Podcast Host
Yeah. That makes sense from a liability point.
Only JS
But I do like the Dr. DA that it is just interesting because it is a conservative platform, and they keep inviting me back and I'm not.
Podcast Host
Because you bring in the views.
Only JS
There we go.
Podcast Host
Yeah. I think that's a great Jubilee counter, though. I think it was needed.
Only JS
And what's really cool is it's all women.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
It's like, it's all women talking. There's no other channel that's just all women just having a discussion.
Podcast Host
That's a good point. Yeah, so you did against the conservative. Is that one out yet?
Only JS
Not yet. I recorded it like last weekend so it should be out maybe a month going.
Podcast Host
Watch that one.
Only JS
What was crazy is after the fact we learned that this woman was a flat earther.
Podcast Host
Now I think I know who it
Only JS
is and I'm like, we could have used that in it. Like, oh, you think that Donald Trump is doing a great job. You think the world is flat? Like, oh, you think being gay is bad? You think the world is flat? Like I would have just said it for everything. Like I would have responded to anything else.
Podcast Host
Do you know who it is going in beforehand? Okay, never. That makes it harder.
Only JS
Little bit.
Podcast Host
Cuz then you can't prep counters.
Only JS
And I mean I kind of go in thinking if I know what I'm going to talk about, I'm going to know. I'm not going to. I try to prepare a little bit, but nothing crazy.
Podcast Host
Yeah. So the prompts were like, no, she doesn't like gay people. She doesn't like trans people.
Only JS
She didn't like trans people. She was respectful about it. Which is also interesting, talking to somebody who's being respectful to your face but also saying that like you have a mental illness.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
The one we talked about was, she said abortion is the killing of a human life. And at that point I was like, okay, like you believe the world is
Podcast Host
flat but like for abortion.
Only JS
Yeah. I'm trying to think of the other one. She said, she said five, I don't know. But at the end they had the opportunity to do like a one on one and they chose me for the one on one. They were like, do you have a. Do you have anything that you want to say? And I didn't. So I'm sitting there.
Podcast Host
He froze.
Only JS
I didn't even. There was 20 girls. I didn't think I was going to get picked. And my, my topic was I think organized religion is harmful or just religion in general, especially getting integrated into politics is extremely harmful.
Podcast Host
Christian nationalism.
Only JS
I, I think it's like Sharia law a little bit. Damn.
Podcast Host
You're that opposed to it?
Only JS
100.
Podcast Host
Yeah. I mean you have experience growing up in that environment. So you just spoke on that basically.
Only JS
Pretty much. I tried my best and it was hard because she was like, well, I disagree. So how are we going to talk? And I'm like, I don't know, you picked me, so we're gonna talk about it.
Podcast Host
Wow. Was she Christian? Yeah. I think we'll talk after. I think I know who it is. That's crazy. So you really like the debates now, huh?
Only JS
I do. I like talking to people. Like, I've been in my house just making videos by myself for so long. Going back to school, like doing the debates. I'm like, I kind of missed being around people and talking to people.
Podcast Host
What got you into that? Were you watching debates or were you kind of.
Only JS
Yeah, I mean, I did like public speaking in high school, so like. And I'm loud on the Internet. Like I'll just, I'll say what I need to say, but it's just, it is interesting, like trying to understand where somebody is coming from on a completely different spectrum.
Podcast Host
Yeah, yeah. You've always been outspoken, which I respected because you, you dealt with cancel culture at its peak.
Only JS
I did.
Podcast Host
Literally at the peak. I'm kind of glad I got into social media when I did because I felt like cancel culture was irrelevant three, two, three years ago now. It's like a bad job.
Only JS
Still exist.
Podcast Host
It exists, but now it's like people don't take it serious when you were going through it. Like people were going hard. You know what I mean?
Only JS
I think it's because we were all still inside. It was like post Covid era.
Podcast Host
Yeah. What was that like though? Mentally, I'm sure that was insane.
Only JS
What's so like when the majority of people were watching me, I was not sleeping at all. Like I have major, major insomnia, which is crazy to think about now. It's like I was getting 5 million views a day and people didn't know that. I was just like awake for 48 hours at that point, making a random video. Like not. And so looking back at that time is interesting because it's like, okay, I was doing really good physically. Not physically, like, like in the world, I guess, but like not. And so when I got canceled, it just got worse. Like not sleeping got worse. Yeah, but I think it worked out. I think it humbled me a bit. It made me better.
Podcast Host
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think everything happens for a reason. I know that some people view that spiritually or whatever.
Only JS
I got a shirt that says that.
Podcast Host
Oh, you do? Okay. So, yeah, I view it literally. Like I think everything just happens for a lesson, you know? And look at you now. You came out on top.
Only JS
There's probably a few lessons. One that I was thinking about in the car, cuz kind. I'm not getting canceled again, but I just get constant hate. Yeah, it doesn't bother me anymore. I'll have some days that it does, cuz hormones. But it really doesn't anymore. And I'M like, when did that switch happen? Cuz it used to really bother.
Podcast Host
Same. Yeah. One little comment from like some irrelevant kid would bother me. Yeah. Now I get like pro. I probably average like a th plus a comments a day or no.
Only JS
How do you deal with it?
Podcast Host
I don't care.
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
Like I don't see most of them, but the ones I do see, I'm like, whatever. Yeah.
Only JS
I don't know what the switch happened. It's like, how did I go from sharing so much?
Podcast Host
Like, I don't know if it was like overnight or just like gradual, you know, Just got used to it.
Only JS
I think what helps is these people don't know you. They don't know me. They see what we put online and that's it.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
If they hate you, they hate that little clip of you online. They don't know you. And a lot of the times they're insulting me with things that like, I know are not true about myself. So how am I gonna let it affect me? It's like if somebody's calling you the wrong name and continue calling you the wrong name, it's not gonna. You're not gonna respond to it.
Podcast Host
Yeah. That happened to me on one of my podcasts. Somebody kept calling you kept calling me Sam. So I was like, should I tell him?
Only JS
Did you?
Podcast Host
I didn't.
Only JS
The whole interview. No.
Podcast Host
He called me Sam like seven times that episode.
Only JS
Did the comments like, were like.
Podcast Host
Yeah, they were like really confused.
Only JS
That's so funny.
Podcast Host
I didn't know if I should tell.
Only JS
See, I wouldn't either. I would just go.
Podcast Host
I just played into it. I was like, all right, straight face. Just call me Sam the whole time.
Only JS
Confidently too.
Podcast Host
That was a fun one.
Only JS
Oh no.
Podcast Host
Who was that? I forget his name. Yeah. I forget 2000.
Only JS
You don't have to remember his name because he forgot yours.
Podcast Host
It was like a year ago, though. I'll have to find that one. But yeah. So you came out on top and that's all you could do with cancel culture? I guess.
Only JS
I don't even know if I came out on top. I just came out of it. I didn't come out on top. I just, I survived it.
Podcast Host
Did you lose a lot of followers and money?
Only JS
For sure. Oh, God. I don't even know how many followers I lost because it's still. I'm still dropping, I think in the month. Probably like a million.
Podcast Host
Wow.
Only JS
But then what was weird was really weird is I kept growing after it. I don't know what happened with that. Like I went from 10 million to 9 million to 17 million. Like, how did.
Podcast Host
How interesting.
Only JS
Like, cancel culture kind of helped in that way, even though it wasn't like a. I don't know if it was a positive thing.
Podcast Host
Well, sometimes you could channel the energy into, like, look at Jake Paul. Everyone hated him at first.
Only JS
I think people still hate him.
Podcast Host
A lot of people still do, but. Yeah, but a lot of people, like, actually hated him. And he's kind of changed some of their opinions on him as he got into boxing. Are you going to get into boxing?
Only JS
I tried. You don't know about my boxing era.
Podcast Host
No.
Only JS
Oh, my God. I tried so hard to find a girl to fight me, and I couldn't. I was going to fight jojo Siwa. She accepted it online, but then wouldn't in private. There was so many other people that it was like, oh, yeah, I'll fight. I'll fight. Only J. And I was ready for it. I was training. I have a friend that went to the Olympics for boxing. Like, I was training with him. It never happened.
Podcast Host
You should hit up Aiden Ross. Have you seen his stuff?
Only JS
No, I know who he is. Like, he's actually from, like, nearby my hometown, which is kind of weird, but. No.
Podcast Host
Is he boxing in Vegas? Yeah, he started a California Cal. Yeah, he started a boxing league in Miami.
Only JS
I'd be down to join.
Podcast Host
Okay.
Only JS
I'm. I'm more in shape now, too, than I was then. Like, I'd be down to.
Podcast Host
I wonder. I feel like the girls are harder to. To find matchups for, though, Especially my height, my size. Well, no one's your height. Do you know Sedona, like, the town or.
Only JS
No, the very tall basketball lesbian player. No, I was going to fight her, too. And fully, fully accepting that I was going to get my ass kicked because she's so much bigger than me and
Podcast Host
she's a pro athlete.
Only JS
Yeah. And she just couldn't drop the weight, and I couldn't gain the weight to, like, match up, so it was like somebody was too big.
Podcast Host
Damn.
Only JS
I can't find somebody my size.
Podcast Host
We'll have to do some research. You know how there's chess boxing? You. You haven't heard of that? Okay, so they play chess inside a boxing ring.
Only JS
Wait, I'd be down for that too, though.
Podcast Host
Yeah. So that's fun. But they should do that with debates, like, while you're debating someone. Chess in between rounds. You box them.
Only JS
Yes.
Podcast Host
That'd be viral. Chess boxing's pretty hot.
Only JS
The. The Dr. Daft debates get kind of heated that I feel like that could end up happening at one point.
Podcast Host
Yeah, we might have to pitch that to her. What's the most heated it's got on set there for you?
Only JS
I wasn't part of it, but just like calling somebody weird, like, stop talking. Why are you here? Like, stop talking. And it's like the moderators had to be like, stop.
Podcast Host
Well, she's the one moderating, right? Or is it someone else?
Only JS
Dr. Daff moderates a couple of them, but she has like a staff behind the camera that takes care of it pretty good.
Podcast Host
Have you ever done that red balloon pop show, Dating One? Is that still a thing or no?
Only JS
I don't know.
Podcast Host
Okay, I know that was hot for a bit.
Only JS
Would you do it?
Podcast Host
I'm married, but.
Only JS
Oh, congratulations.
Podcast Host
Thanks. If I was single, I think it'd be fun.
Only JS
I don't know if I could. I wouldn't. I don't know if I would want to date online like that.
Podcast Host
Yeah. You hide your. Your relationships now, right?
Only JS
I don't.
Podcast Host
Or not hide, but like, not hide
Only JS
them, but like I've. I've had relationship drama go public and it's not fun.
Podcast Host
There was one this week, right?
Only JS
Is there one this week?
Podcast Host
You made a video responding to someone.
Only JS
Oh, yeah, that's like an old X. That's like a great, great grand ex. And honestly, grandex, that person, they're weird as hell.
Podcast Host
Fill me in on what happened. I didn't see it. I just saw your YouTube video title.
Only JS
So I know that they cheated on me. Everybody's known they cheated on me for years. People didn't believe me, but like, whatever, let it go. And then it started clicking. It was like, I got cheated on with a minor. Like there was a 17 year old involved. Talk to that 17 year old. They're like, yeah, that, that was extremely weird because they're older now. They're 23 and they're like, that was extremely weird. So I talked about it and when I talked about it, more people came forward about like, hey, this person also talked to me when I was 17. This person took me on a date when I was 17.
Podcast Host
Some James Charles.
Only JS
There's a pattern going on right now. I had a 14 year old reach out with text messages and it's like, okay, how do you know the text? That's true.
Podcast Host
That's too young.
Only JS
It's because their phone number match. How does a 14 year old have your phone number? So it's just weird. It's like, I feel gross that I dated a person that was doing weird shit like that.
Podcast Host
14 is. That's that's too young. 17. Depends on how old she is.
Only JS
I can't even fathom when you're in your. If you're past the age of 20, 21, you shouldn't be going for 17 year olds.
Podcast Host
Every state's different.
Only JS
Every state's different. California is 18.
Podcast Host
18. Yeah, I think most states are 18.
Only JS
I think just morally, though, like, not even morally, just maturity wise. Like if that 17 year old eventually turns 21 and then the age gap is not the issue. I think it's the age difference there. Like minor versus adult.
Podcast Host
I mean, this is what got James Charles canceled.
Only JS
Is he canceled?
Podcast Host
You didn't know that?
Only JS
I don't pay attention.
Podcast Host
Do you scroll at all or you kind of just stay in your own.
Only JS
I do, but, like, my for you page is weird and funny. Not like it's like half, like political. Like, shit. And then the calf. Like, what the f. Like, how did I curate this on my feet?
Podcast Host
I got a weird feed too. It's. It's political dating. Like red pill, the balloon pop, feminist stuff. I used to be a lot of that. I don't get too much of that. Death.
Only JS
Do you get pro feminist stuff or anti feminist stuff?
Podcast Host
Anti. Yeah, you probably get pro.
Only JS
I get all of it. I see. I try to get both sides.
Podcast Host
Like, if it is pro, it'll be a debate, it'll be a feminist for someone.
Only JS
I feel like the algorithm purposefully does that. Yeah, it's like, oh, you're a male and you're this age. Anti feminist content. What is it? The manosphere.
Podcast Host
Manosphere.
Only JS
I didn't watch it yet. Not yet, no.
Podcast Host
You would love it.
Only JS
I feel like it would piss me off. And I don't feel like being pissed off right now.
Podcast Host
Do you red pill guys piss you off?
Only JS
What do you think?
Podcast Host
Yeah, 100. I gotta set up a debate for you in one of them.
Only JS
That'd be fun. I would. Have a good time.
Podcast Host
Next time I'm out here. Who's a red pill guy in la? Feel like they're all in Miami.
Only JS
They're down in Orange county.
Podcast Host
Oc. Okay. I'll hit up some guys from oc. Why are they all over there? It's kind of like conservative, I guess, right?
Only JS
It's more conservative. Better. But they're out here too. Like, you see people with mega hats. Like, there's. I don't know any specific content creators, but, like, I know that there's Trump supporters. And it's just like, I'm. I'm not gonna like, hate you, but I'm trying to understand why. Why are you thinking like that? What's going on?
Podcast Host
Have you. Have you ever supported him in like in 2016? Never.
Only JS
I've. You know, my. The text messages that got me canceled.
Podcast Host
Which one?
Only JS
Saying the N word.
Podcast Host
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Only JS
When I was like 15 in that, I also said, I hope Trump gets shot.
Podcast Host
Damn.
Only JS
So, no, I've never been a fan of Trump.
Podcast Host
I just brought out the receipts, dude.
Only JS
No, never been a fan of Trump. He's just been creepy and gross and it's not even. It is policies after seeing how he's been doing. But it's also just the fact that he treats women horrible. And as a feminist, I can't get behind it.
Podcast Host
Yeah. So you view it from a moral point of view, not even political.
Only JS
I just don't think that somebody so gross should be the leader of the country. But I see how he is like, Trump isn't the problem. He's kind of like, we're the problem and he's what's come from it.
Podcast Host
Interesting. So society is the problem.
Only JS
Yeah. We created Donald. We got Donald Trump here. And he is like all of us. Not me and you. But like.
Podcast Host
Yeah, yeah.
Only JS
He's not the cause of all the issues, but he's like the effect of all the issues.
Podcast Host
I get what you're saying. Yeah. Have you always been into politics?
Only JS
Kinda, but I've also. I used to be conservative.
Podcast Host
Oh, really?
Only JS
Just hated Donald Trump.
Podcast Host
Wow.
Only JS
And then swung when I got into college and started learning more. Like college does that 100 going from religious indoctrination to like reading the actual Bible. It can do something to you.
Podcast Host
Yeah, that's a good point. Religion does influence people's political beliefs.
Only JS
That's what I was talking about on the Dr. Da Show. It's like, I think that's an issue.
Podcast Host
Tried wives and conservative woman.
Only JS
I was talking to anti feminists. This one episode already came out. You might saw it. They were like talking about how they want to repeal the 19th.
Podcast Host
Yep.
Only JS
It's like you're sitting here using your voice to tell us that you don't want one. It's like, well, do you vote? It's like, yeah, I vote. It's like, then don't vote if you don't want the right to vote. What are you talking about right now?
Podcast Host
That is ironic coming from a woman. Actually, it was.
Only JS
It was insane, honestly. Like, I felt bad talking the whole time.
Podcast Host
I've heard guys say it. I've never heard a woman actually maybe
Only JS
once the brain not to use brainwashed. So Lightly, but, like, brainwashed. Yeah.
Podcast Host
It is a pretty wild takedown as a woman to not want to vote.
Only JS
Not. No. I don't know.
Podcast Host
Yeah. Have you been to a lot of feminist protests out here?
Only JS
There's only. There hasn't really been feminist ones. I mean, I went to the, like, an Ice out protest, and I remember walking by and this homeless guy was like, can I go protest with you guys? And we're like, sure. And he's like, wait, but is it a feminist thing? He's with a. Like, yeah, it's a. It's a feminist thing. And he's like, oh, no, never mind.
Podcast Host
Damn. So that's his line.
Only JS
It was just funny. He was like, okay, it works if you want. Ladies, if you want a strange guy to leave you alone, just tell him you're a feminist. It works.
Podcast Host
Guys get turned off by that.
Only JS
It works if somebody's harassing you. Just like, I. I believe women should have rights.
Podcast Host
It's like, Yeah, a lot of guys run when you start saying that.
Only JS
Why is that?
Podcast Host
Why do you think they have a. They think it's a traditional view. I think they want the man to be the leader and boo. You know what I mean?
Only JS
Tell it to your grandma. Yeah, my grandma's a leader. I don't know.
Podcast Host
You got a lot of guy friends?
Only JS
I got a few. I wouldn't say I got a lot of. I got. I got a couple straight friends, which is an accomplishment for me.
Podcast Host
Well done.
Only JS
Thank you. Majority of my friends were K. And what was funny for a while said that I was like, oh, I got. I got two straight friends, and then they came out as bi, and I'm
Podcast Host
like, oh, my God.
Only JS
So I've been trying to find more. I just want to have a big. But I do have guy friends. Yeah.
Podcast Host
Okay. What. What is it about straight people that I guess you don't want to be friends with them?
Only JS
That's not what I said. I. It's. I don't know. Like, they don't want to go to the gay bars with me. They don't want to go to drag brunch with me.
Podcast Host
Like, I would go to the gay bar with you, but not, like, all the time.
Only JS
Okay.
Podcast Host
You know what I mean?
Only JS
But you would try it. Yeah, as long as you try it once.
Podcast Host
I would go for the vibe. Drag queen. I think you're losing me on that one.
Only JS
I also just think a lot of people are gay.
Podcast Host
That is true.
Only JS
So. Especially here.
Podcast Host
Well, if you study history, a lot of people were gay. Like, the. The Rome was It, though. Yeah. Romans, right? Movie 300. All those guys were gay.
Only JS
I don't think they viewed it as gay, though. But they were gay. From our.
Podcast Host
Our definition, they didn't view it as gay.
Only JS
Probably not. Like, from my understanding, they, like, men went to war and then they would like the boys. But, like, they didn't view it as gay. It was more like a dominance thing.
Podcast Host
Oh, okay. Damn. I don't know.
Only JS
From my stupid little understanding of what that was.
Podcast Host
A lot of people are gay, though. The closet, right?
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
People have guesses on, like, one out of. I think I saw one out of 20 or something. Do you think that's accurate?
Only JS
I don't. I don't. I'm not going to. I don't know the numbers, but a lot of people are gay. A lot of people are just, like, a little bit gay. A lot of people are gay and probably going to end up in a heterosexual relationship, and, like, that's fine. But, like, a lot of people are gay.
Podcast Host
Why do you think so many are gay here in la?
Only JS
Safe space. We hose pretty, like, chill. Like, I like. If you live in a conservative area, there's no place for, like, a community to go.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
I remember there was, like, the GSA at my high school, Gay Straight Alliance. So it's like a club that the high schools would have, and I wouldn't join it because all the gay kids there were, like, wearing tails. And it's like, okay, I'm gay, but, like, I'm not like that. And then you come here and it's like, there's normal gay people.
Podcast Host
Yeah, there's a lot of memes. I don't know if you've seen this at, like, conservative events about gayness.
Only JS
What kind of memes are the conservatives?
Podcast Host
So, like, at Turning Point events or at cpac, which was yesterday, there's, like, Grinder memes.
Only JS
Oh, that they, like, blow it up.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
Yeah. Because they're closeted.
Podcast Host
Like, Grindr literally crashes when a bunch of conservative men meet up. Isn't that wild?
Only JS
That is crazy. But it's like, I believe it because when you suppress something, when you're like, oh, something's taboo, something's bad, you want it more. It's kind of like. Like, with women's boobs, it's like, they're taboo. Can't see, like, so that's why we're sexualized and turned on by them because, like, it's taboo. If they weren't taboo, if women just walking around naked all the time, nobody would care.
Podcast Host
Yeah. Would. Did you Ever consider joining Only fans?
Only JS
I've always said if I joined Only fans, things are not going well, but they're about to be okay. So no.
Podcast Host
I probably could have made millions.
Only JS
People say that I have though. Like, I think because my name Only JS they think. Only fans. Only think. And then I remember a YouTuber, a drama YouTuber was like, they started a OnlyFans page and then they dropped it. No, I didn't. People just be saying shit out here.
Podcast Host
I mean, you could have made a bag, but that's where you draw the line.
Only JS
I mean, I do passes, which is not only fans. I make gym content. Like kind of a gym working out or trying to. I finally am able to do two pull ups. After a year of. Of working on it, I'm finally able to.
Podcast Host
That's.
Only JS
And the motivation of people paying to watch me work out did that.
Podcast Host
So people pay for that. Are you serious?
Only JS
Like just gym influencer stuff. Like the stuff you see on Instagram. Like, just like, I'm gonna do a bench press, I'm gonna do a squat. People pay to watch me do that because I don't post that. That's taboo.
Podcast Host
Insane. There's a niche for everything. People pay to watch you eat too.
Only JS
I could probably do good.
Podcast Host
Yeah, that's a mukbang, they call it.
Only JS
I could probably do really good on that. There's no need for Only Fans for that. If people are gonna be paying for that.
Podcast Host
Yeah. I would never make one personally.
Only JS
No. Well, you're married.
Podcast Host
Even if I wasn't, no amount of money.
Only JS
Good.
Podcast Host
I just value that privacy, I think. Are you friends? Yeah, I'm shy. Are you friends with people in that space? Adult workers?
Only JS
I think there's a lot of adult workers out here too.
Podcast Host
But yeah, yeah. L. A is like the hub of that, honestly.
Only JS
Respect. They're doing better than me. They're making more money than both of us, probably.
Podcast Host
But at what cost?
Only JS
Showing a little bit more than you're comfortable with.
Podcast Host
I guess that's all it is to you.
Only JS
What. What should it be?
Podcast Host
What if they want to get married?
Only JS
Then they're gonna marry somebody. That's okay with it.
Podcast Host
Fair.
Only JS
There's somebody out there for everybody. We were talking about this in the feminist debate too. The. The feminist or the anti feminist? Sorry. They were like, well, look at how all we are dressed and look at how you guys are dressed. It's like men are more attracted to us. It's like, okay, first of all, do you want to see my dms? Because I don't believe that one at all. But like.
Podcast Host
Wait, what do you mean by that?
Only JS
My dms. Yeah, they, the, the anti feminists were saying, like, we're more attractive to men because we're wearing the dresses. We're being men like us. And I'm sitting there like fully masked lesbian on the other side. I'm like, men are in my DMs all the time.
Podcast Host
Guys are still hitting you up?
Only JS
Yes.
Podcast Host
Wow. And they know you're paying for the gym. Wow. I'm speechless. They're still hitting you because they know you're with a girl, though.
Only JS
Yeah, they know I like women, so that doesn't matter. Not to them.
Podcast Host
That's crazy.
Only JS
A little bit, isn't.
Podcast Host
I mean, the bottom line is girls get hit up like non stop. I've seen in boxes. It's crazy. Yeah, guys just. We're simps a little bit. A lot of simps these days. Makes, makes it good for you, though. You can make some money off of it.
Only JS
So I could. I try to be good with it. Like, it's actually, it is very motivational to work out.
Podcast Host
So, I mean, it's a win. Win for you.
Only JS
100%.
Podcast Host
You're improving your health while getting paid. I'd be doing it.
Only JS
Do it.
Podcast Host
I want to get paid. You don't think girls, you think girls would. No, no, no.
Only JS
Men. Men would pay.
Podcast Host
Men would pay to watch me work out 100%. What are you.
Only JS
What are you talking about right now? Yes.
Podcast Host
This is a new reality to me. I've never heard of this.
Only JS
And you can get in the gym and it'd be good motivation. Like, I'm going to get paid today to work out.
Podcast Host
Wow. You got it all figured out right now.
Only JS
Right now. I do. I don't talk to me in a year.
Podcast Host
Working out and debates, that's your life.
Only JS
It's weird. This is a weird. Do you ever sit and just like, think about how weird all this is?
Podcast Host
It is weird to see how social media's evolved because debates weren't a thing. No, like, not at all.
Only JS
I mean, I kind of. Like when I said I was conservative, I got like red pilled from like Steven Crowder's, like, change My mind or like Ben Shapiro, like, doing his thing.
Podcast Host
I used to watch them.
Only JS
So, like, debates have kind of been a thing.
Podcast Host
Yeah, they did the college stuff, I guess.
Only JS
Do you feel like you got red pilled from that?
Podcast Host
Yeah. Especially during the pandemic.
Only JS
I. For sure.
Podcast Host
I was. I was red pill to the max.
Only JS
How do you get out of it?
Podcast Host
Seeing Trump up I guess that'll do. Yeah. I mean, his term now has been pretty abysmal.
Only JS
Dude, I passed by gas. It was like six bucks.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
I was like, I have to fill
Podcast Host
up my tank in Vegas. It was 640 yesterday.
Only JS
Oh, that probably means it's worse here.
Podcast Host
I just spent 130 to fill up my car.
Only JS
And it's. Why? Like, why? Why are we at war right now?
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
Mr. President.
Podcast Host
For the I word, right?
Only JS
For the O word.
Podcast Host
To the O word. Oil. Oh, yeah. Everyone's blaming Israel now right now.
Only JS
My Uber driver, the entire drive actually up here was talking about how it's all Israel. Like, it was actually a very interesting conversation. He taught me a lot, but towards the end, it was just like. He was like, it's the land. It belongs to Israel. Like, you understand? Turn to Jesus Christ. It was an hour long.
Podcast Host
Uber
Only JS
learned a lot, though. Read some of the Bible. It was a good time.
Podcast Host
Have you taken a stance on Israel stuff or. You stay out of that.
Only JS
I guess if you ask me a specific question, I could take a stance
Podcast Host
like, do you think the US should be funding Israel?
Only JS
No.
Podcast Host
Okay.
Only JS
I think that there's so many people in this country that are struggling, and we should probably focus on us right now. I get why, but, like, I don't get so much. You know what I mean? Like, we don't have health care. I don't have health care.
Podcast Host
I'm paying a lot for mine. And it's pretty bad.
Only JS
People got student debt. Like, people are working multiple jobs. We have, like, families that aren't even able to, like, hang out with their kids because they're all working all the time. The kids are going to schools that are. It's like, we have so much money. We have so much money. Why are we over there bombing? It doesn't make sense.
Podcast Host
Do you want more government involvement or less?
Only JS
In what?
Podcast Host
Everyday life. Like, government programs.
Only JS
I want to say less, because that sounds like the better answer. But like I said, I don't know. Like, I like. Let's see, like, I like socialism. And is that bigger government in the sense because they're providing more, taking more? Kind of, yeah. But I don't, like, I also want to keep my guns. I want to smoke weed. I want to do my. And not have to worry about, like, the tax man coming after.
Podcast Host
Yeah. It just feels like right now they're involved with everything, like marriage, school, every aspect of your life.
Only JS
My body.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
I don't plan on getting an abortion, but, like, if I wanted to, they're involved in that.
Podcast Host
Why can't.
Only JS
That should be a doctor conversation?
Podcast Host
Certain states, you can't get it now. Right. Because of Roe v. Wade, probably. I think out here you could still get one.
Only JS
I think they're trying to make it illegal, though, to even, like, go to a different state to do it. And, like, they're trying to criminalize it, which is. It's just. That's too much. That's too much government. But, like, funding a school properly. I'll take that government.
Podcast Host
What do you think of Newsom? Not the biggest fan.
Only JS
I really, really hope we find somebody better as Democrat. I'm not a Democrat, but I hope the Democrats find somebody better.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
I feel like it's going to be him and J.D. vance, and I really don't want it to be.
Podcast Host
It's looking like it at the moment. So you're not a Democrat, you said? No. What do you label yourself as? Independent.
Only JS
Socialist.
Podcast Host
Socialist.
Only JS
But like you, we only have two parties. Social. So, yeah, leftist. I don't even know. The labels change and people get mad if you claim one thing and then you're not accurate to it. So I don't know. But I know I'm not a Democrat. I really don't. It's not that I don't like Gavin Newsome. I think he's, like, the perfect kind of crazy to do it. I just. I don't.
Podcast Host
I don't like his past.
Only JS
What about it? Well, he cheated on his wife. I know that.
Podcast Host
That for sure.
Only JS
But I think it was weird that, like, he's just. He's also platforming, like, conservatives in a weird way. And it's like, okay, you can do that, but also, like, what else are you doing?
Podcast Host
I do want to get your opinion on platforming. We might disagree on this. So when you say he's platforming conservatives, you're talking about his podcast.
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
You see that as a negative that he has on certain people.
Only JS
I don't know if it was his first guess, but the first time I even knew Gavin Newsom had a podcast was because of Charlie Kirk.
Podcast Host
Charlie went on. Yeah.
Only JS
And I was like, okay, why? Why? And my only thing is, I think conspiracy theory. I think Charlie Kirk was being set up to be the vice president.
Podcast Host
I've heard that.
Only JS
Do you think of it?
Podcast Host
Yeah. I heard it was supposed to be him and Trump Jr. Down the road. I've heard of that.
Only JS
I heard him and J.D. vance.
Podcast Host
Yeah. But now I'm hearing Erica, and it's
Only JS
like, okay, you have this platform. You're going to use podcast and you're on the left. Why are we doing this?
Podcast Host
Don't you think it's important to have dialogue with the other side, though?
Only JS
I do. I really, I do. But there's. I read this book recently called Post Truth and it talks about how having debate is good, but if you have two very opposite end spectrums and you have them communicate on the same platform, it gives people the impression that they have the same credibility when they don't. Like one might be way more credible, but they're talking so that it seems like it's the same.
Podcast Host
Interesting.
Only JS
Yeah. And I don't. I'm gonna. I just don't like Charlie Kirk. Respect. I don't think he should have died. I just, I don't. I didn't agree with anything that he said.
Podcast Host
Wow. Anything from college is a scam.
Only JS
I don't think college is a scam. I think college itself isn't a scam, but the payment system probably is from what I. What I've seen with him. Racism. I've seen sexism. I watched a 14 year old girl ask him like, hey, I want to go to college and be like a journalist or something. And he said, you should get a Mrs. Degree. And again, as a feminist, I just don't put up with that.
Podcast Host
Yeah, yeah. You and him.
Only JS
But I do wish, I really. I say this all the time. I really wish that he was still here so we could keep making fun of him.
Podcast Host
I mean, I think it's the company's way worse without him. Like, Erica's like a laughing stock at this point.
Only JS
I feel like. Wouldn't the. Well, yes. Oh God, the Drew Ski thing.
Podcast Host
Oh my God, that was so viral.
Only JS
I. But like, you would think Turning Point is probably doing better now, financially.
Podcast Host
Yes, but I think long term, without Charlie, they're going to be lost. Cuz you got to admit, even though you don't like him, he was the face of that company. He brought the eyeballs.
Only JS
I enjoyed watching, like him talk too. Like, same with Steven Crowder. And like, I like listening to what other people are thinking, even if I
Podcast Host
don't agree with him. Yeah, he was. You should do those college debates. Would you ever do that?
Only JS
Set up on campus in 2026. Too dangerous after that. I don't. I mean, I've already been like physically attacked in person. I wouldn't want to put myself in that situation. It would be fun, but I don't know if I. I'd be anxious the whole time.
Podcast Host
Yeah, I mean, I don't blame you if you got I didn't know you got attacked. Damn.
Only JS
It wasn't like I was at a festival and the Internet actually helped me. Found it. But like, this dude just started like punching me, pushing me to the floor. I get up, I'm all confused. Just starts punching me and punching me and punching me.
Podcast Host
Wow.
Only JS
I was like, you punch like a. And the crowd separates us. They get mad at me for some reason. I take his picture, I post it online. And the Internet found him. This man had not posted in like 8 years and they found him. Paid for my physical therapy.
Podcast Host
Wow. Internet detectives are crazy.
Only JS
It scared me a little bit.
Podcast Host
I remember that Netflix documentary, the Murder of the Cat or whatever.
Only JS
I haven't seen it.
Podcast Host
It was something about Internet detectives. There's whole Reddit communities that solve murders.
Only JS
They're fantastic.
Podcast Host
They're insane.
Only JS
They scare me. Talented people.
Podcast Host
Yeah, they scare. They should scare anyone if they're committing.
Only JS
They could find us right now if they wanted to. This was live 100%.
Podcast Host
Did you see Cash Patel's email got hacked yesterday?
Only JS
I did not. I have. Wasn't on my phone yesterday.
Podcast Host
Look that up.
Only JS
Oh, no.
Podcast Host
Yeah, that'll be a good content video for you.
Only JS
I'm interested.
Podcast Host
Yeah. His account got leaked, his telegram messages, a lot of stuff.
Only JS
At this point, we should start just like pigeon mailing, like handwritten letters because nothing on. On the phone is safe.
Podcast Host
Yeah. I can't believe that with the Epstein files, people were just emailing like that. That's crazy.
Only JS
You can go to. I think it's jmail. J. J mail. Yeah. And just read it.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
That was the craziest. Like, I can just read his emails right now.
Podcast Host
Like, crazy.
Only JS
Can you imagine that if. If you died, everybody's reading your emails.
Podcast Host
Nuts.
Only JS
Like, how do we prevent that? Like, what do we.
Podcast Host
They were using code names, but it was still obvious, you know what I mean? Did any of that stuff surprise you?
Only JS
Yeah. Like, yeah, what this that just been reading about. It's like, it's. It's just shocking content.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
Itself.
Podcast Host
People were talking about it for years, but they were getting censored and shadow banned.
Only JS
I remember people talking about Jeffrey Epstein in 2016.
Podcast Host
Wow.
Only JS
Katie Johnson came out when Donald Trump went like, ran first. And it's like I remember hearing about him raping a 13 year old and it's like, why are we supporting this guy? Because people aren't hearing about this stuff.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
But now they're hearing about it and they're still supporting him. So what is that about?
Podcast Host
Yeah. I don't know, man. I Think this second term really ruined his legacy, to be honest.
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
Because, I mean, the first term, I know you don't like him, but the economy was, like, all right.
Only JS
Like, I don't think he handled Covid good. And I was also in high school, college. Like, I don't remember too much about it. I just remember the, like, social stuff. Like, he's a bumbling buffoon. Like, that was just embarrassing.
Podcast Host
But he probably did good economically.
Only JS
He did decent.
Podcast Host
Yeah. Yeah. But now it's like, we'll see how it ends, but it's not looking good.
Only JS
Do you think it's an age thing or do you think.
Podcast Host
I think you could tell with his speeches lately, he is not the same. Yeah. That first term, he had some fire.
Only JS
His State of the Union. You could see tonsil stones flying out of his mouth.
Podcast Host
I saw that video.
Only JS
That was disgusting.
Podcast Host
Yeah, that's nasty. I mean, he's, what, 80 now? He drinks Coke every day in McDonald's. It's fast food.
Only JS
It's good.
Podcast Host
Father Tom's undefeated.
Only JS
Do you see how society has created him? How we not deserve Donald Trump, but, like, we deserve Donald Trump.
Podcast Host
I mean, we voted him in.
Only JS
I didn't. Speak for yourself, Sean.
Podcast Host
Kylie did not vote him in. You're right. You guys never vote, right? I vote, like, right. Like, you never vote for the right.
Only JS
What's interesting, actually, is the. The governor race might be two Republicans.
Podcast Host
I saw that. I've had one of them on the show.
Only JS
Really?
Podcast Host
Bianco.
Only JS
Which one?
Podcast Host
Okay, Sheriff.
Only JS
See, I haven't looked too much into it yet because I'm really. I try not to stress myself out with too much, but the fact that it could be two Republicans on the ballot and California could flip.
Podcast Host
You're going to flip this. This year for the governor race, what is going on according to the polls,
Only JS
that's crazy to think about.
Podcast Host
I mean, it just shows. I don't know what it shows, actually.
Only JS
I don't know what it shows either, but it is just like, what?
Podcast Host
Well, I know a lot of people here were pissed with the fires and how that was dealt with.
Only JS
Oh, my God. So I voted for Karen Bass.
Podcast Host
Oh, God.
Only JS
And I was actually really disappointed with her reaction towards it. I don't know how she handled it after, but that first interview when she got off the plane and she ran away, I was like, no, she was in Africa. Voted for you.
Podcast Host
Yeah. I don't know. I don't like her that much. Yeah, I'm big on, like, just reading people. And her body language seems like she doesn't give a shit.
Only JS
I think the other option at the time was a guy that just owns all the malls around here and I wasn't going to.
Podcast Host
Rick Caruso maybe. Yeah. He owns the Grove.
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
I wasn't going to do that.
Podcast Host
You don't like the billionaire class, do you? Not in politics.
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
But if they're self made billionaire. I know they get a lot of hate. They could cure world hunger, all this stuff. I think they earned it.
Only JS
I think they should use the money to do good things. But they don't necessarily need to be the ones in power making the decisions for people that they don't know what our lives are.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
At all.
Podcast Host
I can agree with that. But also when they try to donate to some charities, a lot of them are too.
Only JS
Oh yeah. They're their own charities.
Podcast Host
Yeah. So it's like a tax write off for them.
Only JS
So it's also. This is just crazy.
Podcast Host
Yeah. Bill Gates. That's a while.
Only JS
Doesn't that piss you off though? As somebody that likes. Pays a lot in taxes to know that these people that are making so much more are not paying.
Podcast Host
I pay more in tax than most billionaires.
Only JS
Isn't that insane?
Podcast Host
And you do too probably. Right.
Only JS
It pisses me off.
Podcast Host
It's crazy.
Only JS
Why doesn't it piss more people off?
Podcast Host
I know how to not pay tax legally. I just saying it on camera. No. Like there's ways to do it. Obviously. Trump.
Only JS
There's loopholes.
Podcast Host
Yeah. Trump does it. Bezos.
Only JS
Because the people with the billionaires are setting up the rules.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
They can make those.
Podcast Host
There's all sorts of nerdy stuff you could do.
Only JS
Get away with it too.
Podcast Host
It's just I'd rather not like worry about it though. And get audited. Yeah. And then it's like a gray area tactic. I'd rather just pay some stuff.
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
But I'm also not happy seeing all the money we pay. Like how it's being used. You and I can agree on that.
Only JS
How much? I think it's a billion dollars a day for the war right now.
Podcast Host
I saw that. Yeah. How much?
Only JS
But then it's like how much to just give us health care? Free health care for. Go to the doctor. You don't have to worry about it.
Podcast Host
Do you think free health care would be the most efficient model? Because if you look at Canada, some people are waiting a year.
Only JS
How is it in China?
Podcast Host
I don't know about China actually.
Only JS
I don't know if it's free in China. But I've been seeing like those tick tock videos of like white people going to China and going to the doctor and just seeing how efficient their system is and how cheap they paid for their medicine and the pharmacies right there and like how quick and easy they made it.
Podcast Host
I gotta look into that one.
Only JS
That sounds cool. I don't know anything about Canada, honestly, but I do know America has the best doctors in the world and they're gonna get paid no matter what. Just let people go see them.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
We shouldn't have to worry about medical debt.
Podcast Host
It's really bad right now.
Only JS
Like we can be doing really good, but we're one like accident or disease away from being financially.
Podcast Host
Yeah. Crushed, my friend. Right now is 500k in debt right now. Becoming a doctor, isn't that crazy?
Only JS
Becoming a doctor? Yeah, that is crazy. See, that feels like it's a scam. Does honestly keep you asleep?
Podcast Host
I know we need doctors, but just the route right now is crazy.
Only JS
Like if you want to be a doctor, you should be able to without putting yourself in the hole like that. And I'm. Socialism. I think that if you contribute to society, you shouldn't have to worry about like a lot of the things that we have to worry about financially. And I'm excluding myself from this because I don't contribute to society at all. I'm like, so social media. I'm not doing anything productive. I'm not like the garbage man. I'm not a teacher. I'm not paving roads.
Podcast Host
Blue collar.
Only JS
Yeah. Anything that's like actually helping society function is. Should have your taken care of really. And I'm separating myself out of that.
Podcast Host
Like, wow. Respect.
Only JS
Thank you.
Podcast Host
So blue collar workers you believe should pay less or no taxes.
Only JS
Yeah. I don't know how the tax system work. I'm just saying, like, they shouldn't have to worry about health care. They shouldn't have to worry about going to school if they want to. They shouldn't even have to worry about housing, I think.
Podcast Host
Wow.
Only JS
So you have enough houses in the world, in the country for everybody.
Podcast Host
Yeah. So you really like socialism?
Only JS
Democratic socialism. If that sounds better.
Podcast Host
Like the mayor in New York. What, what's his name? You like his kind of style?
Only JS
I liked his campaign. I haven't been paying too much attention to how he's doing in New York. Probably going to give it more time, but like his messaging was good.
Podcast Host
Okay. What, what makes you like that form so much? Was there a civilization in the past that you researched that, used it or.
Only JS
No, I think I just, I believe in people and I see the System, how we have it now isn't working for the majority of people. A lot of people might say they're fine, but they're really like they're struggling. They're living pay attention paycheck to paycheck.
Podcast Host
I think 80% of people some crazy like that.
Only JS
And I think like growing up as a kid, watching my parents struggle with the 2008 recession and then like again being in foster care and like seeing how it feels to have the government kind of take care of me. I want that for everybody. Like it was so easy for me to go to college, it was so easy for me to like get an apartment. But I know that not everybody else had that. I want that for everybody.
Podcast Host
So the foster system paid for all that.
Only JS
Foster system. I got free school and I. They didn't pay for my apartment but I got a thousand dollar stimulus check every month until I was 21.
Podcast Host
I didn't know they did that.
Only JS
Can you imagine if they did that for Everybody? You turn 21, the government's going to help you so you can start. It's like I wouldn't be here successful on the Internet if I didn't have that too.
Podcast Host
Yeah, that is. I'm fascinated because I've heard a lot of negative things about the foster system.
Only JS
But there is a lot of negative things about the foster, specifically the positive. The AB12 program where they don't just kick you out at 18, they keep you until you're 21. You still have to meet up with a social worker, make sure that you're doing good, your grades are good, you're still like you have a job. Like they keep all track of that. That was really good.
Podcast Host
Okay.
Only JS
I just, I think that'd be good and positive for everybody if we can invest into people. That's my view of socialism. I might be wrong but like if we just invested into people, the people would generate more than taking them like 500000 in debt to be a doctor is crazy nuts.
Podcast Host
And if we looked up the average right now, I bet it's six figures.
Only JS
That's insane. Yeah, that makes me feel better.
Podcast Host
And that's with interest. That's the crazy part because if it was just a couple hundred K for the rest of your life, that's one thing. But with interest you're never going to pay it off. Never.
Only JS
At that point, don't.
Podcast Host
Yeah, interest, interest is deadly, man. Do you use credit and debt and all that stuff or.
Only JS
I like credit cards because you get like. I do like the, the airline miles. So I Can just fly for. I don't fly very often, so I noticed.
Podcast Host
Didn't get you out to Vegas? I tried for years. It's such a short flight.
Only JS
Honestly, it's. It's my dogs. I just. It's hard to leave them.
Podcast Host
I love dogs.
Only JS
Do you have any?
Podcast Host
Yeah, two. I want 10.
Only JS
You want 10 dogs? Yeah, there's a. There's a tick tocker I can send you. He's got like 10, maybe 12. Massive.
Podcast Host
I've seen.
Only JS
I love.
Podcast Host
And is that the one where he calls the name run out to get them?
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
I love them so much.
Podcast Host
Impressive training.
Only JS
I don't know how they do it because I have two and I'm like, I can't handle anymore. I have two arms.
Podcast Host
Yeah.
Only JS
That's all I can do. What kind of dogs?
Podcast Host
Australian shepherd and golden retriever mix.
Only JS
I love that. I got Great Danes.
Podcast Host
Those are big boys.
Only JS
They're. They're a lot.
Podcast Host
You can handle both of them on one walk or you got to take them out one at a time?
Only JS
One at a time. I got dragged once, like fully like on my stomach across a neighbor's yard. Somebody witnessed it.
Podcast Host
Jeez.
Only JS
And that stopped the double walking squirrel or something. They heard another dog barking inside and just.
Podcast Host
Oh, God.
Only JS
Very strong. Another reason why I work out.
Podcast Host
I want a Dane one day though.
Only JS
Get one. I think they're the sweetest creatures. They. They're. They get like. What is it called? Like, anxiety. Like when you leave. Separation anxiety.
Podcast Host
Oh, they do?
Only JS
Yeah.
Podcast Host
Damn.
Only JS
But you can train it out of them when they're puppies, so just keep that in mind. They're very like anxious ones.
Podcast Host
I didn't know that. My Australian shepherd has the worst anxiety. Like so bad. Yeah.
Only JS
It's just cuz they love us so much. It's like, where'd you go?
Podcast Host
A lot of dogs take after their owner too. I notice their personality.
Only JS
I can kind of see that. Especially with. Because I have two. My boy is like very chill, kind of shy. But then the girl is like, crazy. So I got dichotomy there. But yeah, that's the main reason I don't travel too much.
Podcast Host
It's just because them makes sense. Well, what's next for you? What. What debate's next and don't even know.
Only JS
I'm. I. I got a computer science project due tomorrow. I got to finish that.
Podcast Host
You didn't even sleep tonight.
Only JS
I'll sleep today and then do. Get it done. Get it done tomorrow. I'm just focusing on school. Trying to juggle content at the same time.
Podcast Host
Cool. We'll link your stuff below next time you see her. Guys, she will be debating some red pill guy or something on my show. Hopefully. Maybe. Maybe. I'll ask Myron Gaines.
Only JS
Okay.
Podcast Host
Would you debate him? Fresh and fit?
Only JS
That'd be funny.
Podcast Host
That'd be a good one.
Only JS
I'll prepare for that one.
Podcast Host
Okay. We'll set it up either way. Thanks for coming.
Only JS
Anytime.
Podcast Host
Yeah, see you guys. Thanks for watching. All the way to the end, guys. Please hit like and subscribe. It helps us grow the show and helps us get bigger guests. Thank you so much.
Guest: OnlyJayus
Host: Sean Kelly
Date: May 16, 2026
Theme: How I Became the Most Hated TikTok Creator – An unfiltered look at viral fame, cancel culture, internet debates, LGBTQ+ spaces, and political polarization with OnlyJayus.
This episode features a candid, wide-ranging conversation between host Sean Kelly and OnlyJayus, a TikTok creator known for viral fun facts, social commentary, controversial takes, and a high-profile run-in with cancel culture. The discussion is equal parts humorous and hard-hitting, touching on Jayus’s rapid rise to online fame, experiences behind the scenes on debate shows, personal identity, internet hate, and shifting political beliefs. There’s also plenty of insight into creator culture, LGBTQ+ nightlife, and the messiness of growing up both online and in real life.
On surviving cancellation:
“I didn’t come out on top. I just survived it.” (21:24)
On conservative/anti-feminist women:
“You’re using your voice to tell us you don’t want one. If you don’t want the right to vote, then don’t vote.” (29:23)
On Trump:
“He’s not the cause of all the issues, but he’s like the effect of all the issues. We created Donald Trump.” (28:38)
On advice to young queers:
“People always ask how to come out. I’m like—don’t, unless you know it’s safe.” (13:22)
On creator monetization:
“Instagram will get like 30 million views a month and it’s like, oh, sick. I made 19 cents.” (09:36)
The tone is candid, raw, and humorous with a blend of self-deprecation, sarcasm, and hard-won wisdom. Both host and guest are unfiltered in their responses—Jayus cracks jokes about orgies and “fun fact queen” status, but is equally comfortable delving into trauma, politics, and the ups and downs of going viral. The episode features frank discussions on sexuality, identity, cultural divides, and the realities of modern creator life.
This episode of Digital Social Hour pulls back the curtain on internet fame, discussing the mechanics of virality, the emotional costs of public mistakes, and how political and social views evolve when lived publicly. OnlyJayus shares raw insight on being “the most hated TikTok creator,” the pain and aftermath of cancellation, and the balance between creator culture and personal life. Throughout, Jayus’s humor, authenticity, and resilience shine, offering listeners an engaging window into the complicated life of a modern influencer straddling the worlds of social media, activism, and everyday survival.
