The 2008 recession hit us pretty hard. So like, my family got through it by cleaning foreclosed houses, which is crazy. So we just moved us from Vegas to California. We have more family out here too.

Is that when you got into social media?

I got into social media in college, actually, which was also very strange.

I went to a community college up like Central Valley.

How was it strange getting in then?

Just cuz, like, I didn't realize I was going to blow up. And then all of a sudden, like, my classmates are like watching my videos in class. I can hear my voice. Like, I remember having to ask a teacher to skip a math test because Netflix contacted me. And I was like, I have to do this. He's like, go for it. It was just like. It was a really weird time at that.

How many months in did you blow up, would you say?

I was one of the first creators to actually start getting paid. They, like, started with a small little group, and I was in that, which was really cool. They always changed the name of it. It's confusing. Yeah. When did it start going downhill? Was it quick or was it all overnight?

TikTok. I don't even think, like, it's more like punctuations. Yeah. Like, I'll have, like, really good months, and then I'll have, like, really bad months, and it kind of flows. I always. It's like a pendulum. It's gonna come back.

YouTube's doing okay. Tick Tock's not. Facebook's doing okay. Snapchat's doing, like, it. If one platform's doing good, another, you kind of get it.

And so looking back at that time is interesting because it's like, okay, I was doing really good physically. Not physically, like, like in the world, I guess, but like not. And so when I got canceled, it just got worse. Like not sleeping got worse. Yeah, but I think it worked out. I think it humbled me a bit. It made me better.

And I think like growing up as a kid, watching my parents struggle with the 2008 recession and then like again being in foster care and like seeing how it feels to have the government kind of take care of me. I want that for everybody. Like it was so easy for me to go to college, it was so easy for me to like get an apartment. But I know that not everybody else had that. I want that for everybody.

So the foster system paid for all that.

Foster system. I got free school and I. They didn't pay for my apartment but I got a thousand dollar stimulus check every month until I was 21.

I didn't know they did that.

Can you imagine if they did that for Everybody? You turn 21, the government's going to help you so you can start. It's like I wouldn't be here successful on the Internet if I didn't have that too.

Yeah, that is. I'm fascinated because I've heard a lot of negative things about the foster system.

[Only JS]

But there is a lot of negative things about the foster, specifically the positive. The AB12 program where they don't just kick you out at 18, they keep you until you're 21. You still have to meet up with a social worker, make sure that you're doing good, your grades are good, you're still like you have a job. Like they keep all track of that. That was really good.

I just, I think that'd be good and positive for everybody if we can invest into people. That's my view of socialism. I might be wrong but like if we just invested into people, the people would generate more than taking them like 500000 in debt to be a doctor is crazy nuts.

And if we looked up the average right now, I bet it's six figures.

That's insane. Yeah, that makes me feel better.

And that's with interest. That's the crazy part because if it was just a couple hundred K for the rest of your life, that's one thing. But with interest you're never going to pay it off. Never.

At that point, don't.

Yeah, interest, interest is deadly, man. Do you use credit and debt and all that stuff or.

I like credit cards because you get like. I do like the, the airline miles. So I Can just fly for. I don't fly very often, so I noticed.

Didn't get you out to Vegas? I tried for years. It's such a short flight.

Honestly, it's. It's my dogs. I just. It's hard to leave them.

I love dogs.

Australian shepherd and golden retriever mix.

You can handle both of them on one walk or you got to take them out one at a time?

One at a time. I got dragged once, like fully like on my stomach across a neighbor's yard. Somebody witnessed it.

And that stopped the double walking squirrel or something. They heard another dog barking inside and just.

Very strong. Another reason why I work out.

I want a Dane one day though.

Get one. I think they're the sweetest creatures. They. They're. They get like. What is it called? Like, anxiety. Like when you leave. Separation anxiety.

Oh, they do?

Yeah.

But you can train it out of them when they're puppies, so just keep that in mind. They're very like anxious ones.

I didn't know that. My Australian shepherd has the worst anxiety. Like so bad. Yeah.

It's just cuz they love us so much. It's like, where'd you go?

A lot of dogs take after their owner too. I notice their personality.

I can kind of see that. Especially with. Because I have two. My boy is like very chill, kind of shy. But then the girl is like, crazy. So I got dichotomy there. But yeah, that's the main reason I don't travel too much.

It's just because them makes sense. Well, what's next for you? What. What debate's next and don't even know.

I'm. I. I got a computer science project due tomorrow. I got to finish that.
