Michelle
I absolutely read energy.
I can tell somebody's temperament before they even sit down. But the cards help explain into them. You see, I can have a conversation.
With you about your energy.
When I pull the cards, it gives a visual, and we're very visual people. TV, YouTube, everything we watch, we need.
To see it, to understand it, to believe it.
The card to help advocate that.
Right.
Interviewer
That makes a lot of sense.
Sponsor/Host
You also do some light work, right?
Michelle
Part of what I do in my hour long tarot reads in my studio.
At the Signs of Tarot, I read energy.
I help people cope.
We use the cards as a way.
For them to overcome obstacles that are happening in their life and to get them on the path.
Because at the end of the day.
What is all of our goal? Whether we live in this earth for 30 years or 100 years, we want to live our best life ever.
Right.
My tarot readings help guide through energy light work.
Interviewer
Okay, guys, we're at the one Drop event at Resorts World here with Michelle, who was set up right next to me. And I saw you were busy all day, so I wanted to interview you.
Michelle
Honestly, thank you so much. It's been an amazing day.
Interviewer
You had nonstop people coming in.
Michelle
So that's usually what happens when we read tarot at these events and word of mouth goes out throughout the party and then everybody comes to get their tarot read. But it's. It's always thrilling to be at an event like that and meet so many people at once.
Interviewer
Yeah. Why do you think people are so fascinated and enamored by it and they want to tell other people about it?
Michelle
Well, I think that there's a deeply spiritual part that each one of us has. When they see me, they usually don't see a tarot reader at an event like that. So when they see me and they see my cards and when they see the animation that I give when I read and they see tears from the people I'm reading for, they're very interested in coming over and getting their tarot read. I do believe, though, all of us know that we have spiritual sensibility within us. I think all of us, if we know, we follow our gut intuition, we feel things, all of us are psychic. It's just some of us learn to tap into that. And I give a very easy experience at event like this for people to come over to try it.
Interviewer
Yeah.
Michelle
I had probably read for 70 people today. Wow. And out of that, I want to say at least 30 of them has said, this is the first time I'm reading tarot. I'm nervous, but thank you for inviting me to come over to the table. And now I'm not nervous. So it really opens up that window.
Interviewer
Well, I actually have a theory because I have a lot of folklore friends. I feel like you do need a spiritual side to be good at poker because you have to kind of read people's energy.
Michelle
I couldn't agree with you more. I read people's energy every day. You're reading my energy right now. I'm reading your energy right now. At the end of the day, we are all energy, and it's an energy exchange. That's the opening thing I say when somebody sits down at my table during an event like that, we're having an energy exchange.
Interviewer
Right.
Michelle
And in order for me to separate your energy from all the people that you're mingling with, I have them pull over one specific card from my energy jack that lets me know where they are right now. I'm what we call an intuitive tarot reader. At the Signs of Tarot. I don't read manuals. I read what the cards speak for me to read. And after 35 years, some of my cards repeat themselves all the time. Tonight was very interesting. Out of the 70 plus people that I've read, there's about 30 or 40 people in this room that want to get pregnant that they're looking to bring a new. It really kind of blew me away because this is a little bit of an older crowd here. We have such a young, but so many people very interested in. In bringing a baby, adopting a baby. And I just thought it was really fascinating how like, energy always seems to find, like, energy. There's iri in the rose. My mind.
Sponsor/Host
Yeah.
Interviewer
I would have never guessed that in a poker crowd.
Michelle
Not at all.
Interviewer
Very interesting.
Michelle
Fascinating to me.
Interviewer
Yes. You've been doing this for 35 years. Your company's called Signs of Tarot right here.
Michelle
Located here in Las Vegas. The Signs of Tarot. I'm a full time tarot reader for special events. And my studio's open here in the paseos in Summerlin.
Interviewer
That's where I live.
Michelle
I read private readings all day long, all weekend long. And I know. It's my life.
Interviewer
I love it. So you got three decks of cards here. Is there any difference with these?
Michelle
My father, who was an executive at Caesar's palace for 31 years before he passed away, be actually invented 1, 800 astrology in the late 60s in California.
Interviewer
Wow.
Michelle
So I think I get a lot of my psychic abilities and my love.

Michelle
So this is a deck of cards from Caesar's palace that he gave me maybe when I was 8 or 9. So they're 40 something years old. So I'm an expert in cardmology. On top of reading tarot and being like cardmology, cardmology, which it's the art of study. Playing cards, which I thought that that would be appropriate to bring to a poker tournament.
Interviewer
I didn't know that was a study.
Michelle
It's a study. Well, if you look at the tarot deck, the tarot deck has four suits, wands, which are for passion and moving forward and plans of actions. Wands represent the diamonds and a regular current deck, you have the pentacles and tarot. Pentacles are representative of the clubs, money, stability, time, and you have the hearts In a regular deck of cards, there's cups in the world of tarot and then we have swords in tarot and that's the spade. So basically the same card deck 52 has turned into 78 cards in the world of tarot because we use royals, we have page, we have knights and we have kings and we have queens and we have some other cards. But interesting Coty is the study of playing cards. They say there are 52 cards in the deck because we have 52 weeks in the year. There are four different suits because we have four different seasons. There are 12 cards in each suit because we have 12 months in the year. You can go on and on and on. So it is based upon numerology So I use all kinds of decks today. I chose to use the original Rider Waite deck. Now, Tarot, you'll read different things about tarot, but from all of my studies, tarot has been long on the search for 10 million years. But it was really hieroglyphics on mountain regions. In 1908, they took those hieroglyphics, so symbols, and they created the very first tarot deck called the Rider Waite. That is the Godfather. That is the bible of all tarot decks. There's 30,000 tarot decks out there. Every boss or has a Tarot deck, Every designer has a Tarot deck. And they're all based upon the same septae cards of the Rider Waite with a different twist of what the artist wanted to incorporate in there. So I always use the Rider Waite, which is my big deck here.
Interviewer
That's very fascinating. And since you've been doing this so long, 35 years, have you felt like you've developed a sixth sense? Like, have you been able to kind of read people before they even take the cards?
Michelle
I've been reading people since I was 15 years old. So the cards help show a picture of what I wanted to come across with their energy. I absolutely read energy. I can tell somebody's temperament before they even sit down. But the cards help explain it to them. See, I can have a conversation with you about your energy. When I pull the cards, it gives a visual. And we're very visual people. TV, YouTube, everything we watch, we need to see it, to understand it, to believe it. The cards help educate them, right?
Interviewer
That makes a lot of sense. You also do some light work, right?
Michelle
I do a lot of light working. I do part of what I do in my hour long tarot reads in my studio at the Signs of Tarot. I read energy. I help people cope. We use the cards as a way for them to overcome obstacles that are happening in their life and to get them on the path. Because at the end of the day, what is all of our goal? Whether we live in this Earth for 30 years or a hundred years, we want to live our best life ever. My Tarot readings help guide through energy light work. I do sage homes and I do do blessings on people with their new babies, their weddings. And I go across the board.
Interviewer
That was one of the first things I did when I bought a house. Sage did it.
Michelle
How did you Sage it?
Interviewer
We did Sage. And what was the other one? Was it Paulo Santo? Palo Santo.
Michelle
Sage takes away the negative. Palo Santo welcomes in the positive. So for holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas or Hanukkah, whatever you celebrate, you want to burn Palo Santo because you want to be around with your family. You want to hold on to those memories. Sage takes things out. The only thing I want to share with you and your readers, when you sage a home, you need to sage all the doors of a home. Not just your front door, your front door, and your back door. But what's most important is energy. Kinetic energy, negative energy comes through through electricity. So when I sage a home, I do a shaft at every single outlet in a home. Because we want to clear everyone. The ones that are on the bottom, the ones that are on the top, every outlet. Because energy is energy and it comes through energy. That's why when you're driving home and you're thinking about something and one of the stoplights breaks out above you, that is an ancestor, a loved one, a spirit guide trying to give you a message about whatever you are thinking about. Everything is through energy. So you have to sage your outlets. I do believe it takes some time.
Interviewer
Yeah, no, that's great advice. Thank you for that. I'll start doing that. I do believe in messages too. I was driving yesterday and someone almost hit me from the side. And I've been dealing with this conflict in my life, so I need to get a resolve at it, you know?
Michelle
Well, you need to come to the science of tarot. Tarot table. Let me get through that. Let me see where it started in your life and let me see how we can finish it, please. So that you can live your best life ever. Please.
Interviewer
Yeah. I didn't know you could do an hour tarot session. That's pretty.
Michelle
Oh. Most people want me for two and three hours, to be honest with you.
Interviewer
I mean, because I've done little like two minute readings.
Michelle
My readings at these parties are five minutes. Just because there's 200 people here. Right. But we do hour long sessions. And the way I do it is very simple. I pull. I pull 15 cards and I don't ask a single thing of you. And I read what is coming through me that I just need to let you know.
Interviewer
Yeah.
Michelle
Whatever's coming through, typically it's something that my client wants me to talk about. So we'll stop, we'll do a mini reading on that particular topic.
Interviewer
Whoa.
Michelle
And then I allow for question and answers for the last 20 minutes. People come in for a tarot because they want to hear specific things.
Interviewer
That's incredible.
Michelle
I usually use about 14 different decks during my readings. I've collected symbols about 750 charms. Now, you don't like to use the word charms. I call them trinkets because there is no black or negative magic of what I do. It's all positive, forward thinker, designed for you to live your best life ever. But sometimes symbols are what come to us in our dreams. If people are truthful and they write down right when they're right when you wake up. Because if you even pull your legs out of the bed, you're not going to remember anchors and lights and a shoe and a bird. Symbols come through dreams. And my trinkets are symbols that I also incorporate into my tarot readings.
Interviewer
Yeah, dreams have a lot of symbolism, right?
Michelle
They do. When you remember them, a lot of them, they're either connecting you to a past life so you can learn something about this. Like everything that goes on in the world of spirituality is designed to teach us to live our very best life ever. And so the things that we've learned from our past lives, or the symbols, or when a feather comes down on our front forge, or we drive by an address that has 777 in it, or the synchronicities of listening to the DJ and his name is Mark and then going to Starbucks and the guy's name is Mark and then going to Smith's grocery store and the checker is marked. It's all symbolic. It's all designed to get us to redirect and pivot because, well, we are a species. Unlike many of the other species that came before us that lived on Earth. There are many more before us here. We're divided. Our faces and our phone. We're doing 10 things a work. We have 10 side hustles. We're trying to help this friend, help this family. We have kids, we have husbands, we have wives. We're so divided that we're never focused on our inner sanctum. But those symbols are critical because they're designed to make you stop in your tracks so that you can stop and say, hey, what does that mean? And how's that? How can I make that pivot me? So I'm living my best life.
Interviewer
Yeah. That's great. A lot of people aren't living in the present.
Michelle
Right.
Interviewer
They're so distracted.
Michelle
A lot of people are living in heartache of the past and they're living in fear of the future. And that's the worst places you can be because you miss out on life right now.
Interviewer
Absolutely. Michelle, thanks so much for your time. This was really informative and great. So I appreciate your time.
Michelle
Thank you. Very much anytime. Listen me. Visit me at www.theslantiltero.com But I love, I love your energy. Thank you.
