Primary Season is upon us. While there are some races that are unopposed, there are others that are the focus of some hot button issues. Toll roads, NIPSCO rate hikes, data centers, and gas taxes are the focus of many residents in District 20. The incumbent is a major player in Indianapolis, having served several 10 years at this point, and is the Chair of the Roads and Highways Committee. He has authored a host of legislation and is up for reelection this year. Many residents blame the incumbent for issues affecting all of us on a daily basis. Are they his cross to bear? You decide as we hear from his opponent in the Republican Primary Election. District 20 encompasses parts of LaPorte and Starke County, not exactly wealthy areas, and many residents are hit particularly hard by what they see as unchecked greed from corporations like NIPSCO and government via taxes.
