Foreign. Welcome back everybody to building build whip. This is number 56. It's a big one. New architecture Frank and announcements. This is the weekly attempt that I make to explain how the buildwit sausage is made, how we are building the dirt world's next generation. Those that will build into the future, lead into the future and the companies that will make it all happen, build the infrastructure, develop the natural resources society needs to live. There has never been a more important time to ensure that we have what we need as humans and we need humans to make that happen. So that's what we're doing here at BuildWit. We've got three ways of doing that. One, the bread and butter, our continuous improvement platform build would improve. It is training, it's onboarding, it's real time problem solving. It's for the civil construction companies that believe their people are number one and that their people are the differentiator. It's really exciting stuff. Number two, we've got the Ariat Dirt World Summit sold out best leadership event in the industry coming up in November in Phoenix. And finally we've got the brand side of the business. That is me and the brand team telling stories about the dirt world to build awareness for the industry and for the BuildWit brand to get into. This week, all BuildWit Improve users are now on the new product architecture. It's only taken months to replace what previously took us a year to develop. Unfortunately it was mostly rework, but now we are building the rest of the product on upon the right foundation. I remember the conversation that we had months ago where Randy was like, unfortunately we think we're going to have to rebuild everything and we had just gotten like the new version of we just rebuilt everything and spent a lot of money doing it and a lot of time doing it. So when you hear something like that it just, I don't know, it just sucks. Those are the days in business that are a little depressing. But now on the backside of it it's like thank goodness we did it when we did because now we're not hindered going forward. You have to build upon a strong foundation and that is what this project was dedicated to. Now that everybody is on the new architecture, what does that actually mean for our users today? Well, most importantly, performance is much better. There's less friction with the login process. Videos load so much faster. And the training feed which is the home screen of the product, it populates with content that each person wants to see. So if I right now I've self assigned Myself, Jocko leadership training. So every day I'll get one lesson on leadership from Jocko, which is really cool stuff. Like I said, I use the platform every day. I am currently now on a 257 day streak. Let's go. One of the highest in the business. You gotta lead by example. And I've noticed the platform moving faster than ever before. I actually sent a note to our product team the other day saying, man, this is, this is moving way better. And that's what it's all about. You can build all of these complicated features, you can build this complicated product, but if the simplest stuff doesn't work really well, if there's any little bit of friction, the people of the dirt world are busy, rightly so, and they'll just stop using it, which is what we've struggled with in the past. I don't blame them. So that's why we've spent so much time getting the basics right, getting basic performance right. We still have some bugs to work through, but again, over the past few weeks, now that we've been on the new architecture ourselves at Build Wit, the product is just moving so much faster and it is such an exciting time because it's like, okay, we're making some progress here, ladies and gentlemen. So that's big time now. You don't have to hear me talk about it anymore. Been talking about it for months. It's here and we can just get the show on the road with some new product improvements. Speaking of improvements, something I've been teasing quite a bit is Frank, our Dirt world agent. He is live officially for all Build with improve users at no additional cost. Think of Frank as the seasoned superintendent on site who has an answer and a story for everything. We've trained the model on our over 2000 training videos on civil construction specifications. On Build with content, we have the biggest library of industry content in the world at this point. It's awesome. Equipment, information, safety requirements, industry best practices, DOT standards. So users now can ask Frank within Buildwood improve any kind of question about civil construction. Like, for example, I need to find fill up the def on a D6 so I can ask Frank, hey, I'm struggling to find the DEF cap on a D6. And he'll say, well, it's this panel and it's the one with the blue cap, not the green cap. Don't, don't do that. And you'll need about 10 gallons of def to make sure it's full. And here are some things to consider while you're doing it. Make sure you wipe things down, keep it clean. Something as simple as that can avoid a 20, 30, $50,000 repair pretty quick. So that's an example from an equipment perspective. You can ask Frank to help estimate how many concrete, how many yards of concrete I'll need to order for a sidewalk pour. That's pretty damn cool. I did that the other day. Or you could get a step by step guide for installing water line gaskets, ductile water line, ductile iron water line gaskets, step by step guide. And then you can have Frank translate it to Spanish as well. If you've got a Spanish speaking crew. Really incredible. If I had Frank when I was 18 years old, 19 years old, 20 years old on a job site, I would have been so much more effective. And that's how this next generation coming up learns. If you have a question, you go to your phone. But the industry, you don't necessarily want people just going anywhere. I think that's where build it has an advantage. We're a trusted brand, a trusted source, so they can go to build with improvements, they can access a model that's built specifically for the industry and is getting better every day. So really exciting stuff. It's live for everybody. Everybody getting on build would improve has it. And I cannot wait to make this better and better and better and better and better because I know the value is undoubtedly there. Next up, we have announcements that are also live. We are hitting it out of the park right now. Shout out to the product team for all companies and users. This is a really simple but powerful feature that allows administrators to send a text or video message to all users out in the field. So think about communicating. Open enrollment, new project rewards, awards or recognizing crews. Anything, anything you want to communicate to specific jobs crews, the entire company. That is one of the biggest challenges in construction is how can I communicate with those making it happen out in the field. Here you go. Build and improve announcements. It's as easy as that. The coolest part is I send out a brief video message to our team every Monday. I've been doing it through Google Drive and and I will soon be using Build and Improve to do that. The coolest thing is it goes right to everybody's feed that home screen so they see it first thing Monday. And then I get to see who's actually watched it, which is extremely valuable. So really cool stuff there. A ton of new stuff for Buildwood improve and now even better, all of our development capacity is going towards new features. That's what we've been Doing while rebuilding the product. Now we can just get on to making it better and better. With that new architecture done and dusted this past week, we spent a lot of time and effort on the BDR process. We're refining things like call timing, what time of day people are calling, human connection, and the quality of the resulting meetings, booking meetings, it doesn't really matter if they're not quality meetings, if we're not meeting with the right people at the right companies. Our leadership team, myself, Jason, Dan, Randy, we leaned heavily and as a result, the BDR team achieved the best booked meetings week ever. It's a marathon, not a sprint, so we'll be watching this one closely. But, uh, we have to get better at conversations with the dirt world. You do that through reps, you do that through conversations with the right people. So that's our logic. The more conversations, the more booked meetings we have, the more phone calls we make, the more connections we make. The more we can tailor our messaging, the more effectively we can get. Bill would improve into the hands of those that need it. Civil contractors and their people building the world around us, the more we can build the dirt world's next generation. And on that note as well, to get sales back on track. I reported about missing in April. We're not missing in May. Our leadership team, including myself, we are very involved in a majority of new buildwood improve deals. Getting involved, it's not a long term strategy, but it's allowing us to refine messaging, learn the process, and then coach the sales team as we go. So the sales team is involved in each one of these meetings. We're showing them how we're doing things, how we're testing out messaging, asking questions, connecting with people. It's been really cool. It's been really exciting. Each one of us has a superpower, especially in this instance. Me, Dan, Randy, we're all completely different. We all have different roles to play. Me, I, I'm better at getting the right people in the room and then handing it off to them. They're better at connecting, driving home the value, making deals happen. And then over the coming months, that'll be our sales team making those things happen without our help. But right now, we're gonna be heavily involved to get everything back on track to fine tune that sales process. That's just a leadership lesson I've learned is when some things, when some things aren't where you need them to be, you do sometimes have to micromanage. You do have to get into the weeds to learn the process, to understand it for yourself to then figure out where we need to go. Then you build leaders to allow them to do it. Then you can start to come back out. So sometimes you need to be up and out. Sometimes you've gotta get way in the weeds. This is one of those instances where it's like, man, we've got to get our hands dirty. We've got to roll up our sleeves and understand everything about this process. I'm kind of kicking myself because it's like, I wish we were doing this two months ago, but there's no time like the present. Here we are making the sales process a whole lot better. So stay tuned because the results are going to be really exciting. Pair that with a great product. Now we're really cooking with peanut oil. That's everything happening at Buildwit. Appreciate you all listening as always. Reach out to me anytime with comments, questions, and we'll see you on the next one. Stay dirty.
