Welcome to do this, not that, the podcast from marketers. We share quick tips, things you can do right now, and then we add a little bit of chaos at the end of every episode. We also keep it short like this intro. Let's check it out. We are back for what's up this week and there's a lot going on in the world of business and marketing and life. Let's jump into it. First off, props to D. Disney. So did you see this? That Disney is now partnering with Philips, the company that makes all of the MRI machines at all the different medical facilities. And for those of you who've never had an mri, that's amazing. That's wonderful that you haven't. But if you ever have had an mri, you know, you go into that tube like thing, it's a, an experience that is really kind of not the most enjoyable thing. What Disney is doing though, they're partnering with Philips and they're making this like ambient experience with all of their different Disney characters. So when kids go into an mri, unfortunately, when kids sometimes have to go into an MRI machine, they're all the Disney characters going to be all around them doing all this cool stuff. And I want that when I go get an mri because it is really like a little nerve wracking. So I think this is about the coolest collab partnership thing of all time. So props to Disney for making the MRI MRI experience for kids a little bit better. And I love that. So let's get into some nerdy AI stuff. So Corporate Inc. Came out this study that really was really very eye opening related to AI. So first of all, I'll give you some stats, but there's a tactic I want to share with you that you can do to kind of fix the problem. So in the study, it finds that 34% of marketers, only 34% of marketers have a defined AI visibility strategy about how to show up properly in AI. But the big number is that 88% of chief marketing officers and VP level marketers are being asked by leadership or their board about what they're doing to optimize for AI visibility. And only 34% of those markers that are surveyed said that they have a defined strategy about how to show up properly. Now here's the kicker and I'm going to tell you how we solve for it. 72% of marketers have seen AI describe their company category or their value proposal in a way that's inaccurate, outdated, or just completely wrong. Okay, I'm definitely one of those, right? You Go on there. You ask it about your category you're in or whatever and it gets it completely wrong. Doesn't matter what tool you use. So here's what we're going to do. Here's how you solve this. This is simple. And I'll give you the stat as to why. The simple thing that you want to do is you go to ChatGPT and Claude and Gemini and Perplexity, you go to all them and you ask each one the exact same question. You ask it what are the top 20 questions someone evaluating that you put in your category? So what are the top 20 questions someone evaluating? Blah, blah, blah, category asks before buying. And then you look at what it gives you back all of the information. Okay, now here's the secret sauce. Yes. That information about what those top 20 questions are that people ask. It's going to fuel now your blog post, your webinar topics, your comparison guide, your LinkedIn post. But here's the thing. What you really want to do, okay? What you really want to do. And this is according to my research group, so World Data Research analyzed over 2,000 AI generated question lists across all different B2B categories. Topics that appeared in four out of four of the major AI platforms, okay, generate a 300% more organic traffic and engagement to than topics that only appeared in one. What does that even remotely mean? What that means is this. If you go to the four major platforms, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and you say what are the top 20 questions in my category? Then you take the overlap, you take the questions that are across all four, they appear on all four, and then you make your blogs and your webinar content and all the content you put out there addressing those questions specifically, you will then see your traffic and organic traffic from the AI platforms go up exponentially. This is very easy to do, okay? It's a no brainer. So now let's move on to something else. Meta has confirmed something finally. It's official. They are rolling out their new add on subscriptions which are going to be on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. So what does this mean? It means on Meta you're going to be paying for certain things, okay? And that's fine, you pay a little bit extra. But the big one that you're going to pay for that I think is the most valuable. I mean WhatsApp, you're going to get some doodads. Facebook, you get some doodads. But now for $3.99 a month, there's going to be additional features on Instagram. Some of them are like these things called super, like animations or whatever. But the one that I care about the most is that you're going to be able to have your Instagram story last for more than 24 hours. Now, you may be like, well, who cares if my story lasts for more than 24 hours? I will tell you firsthand, my Instagram stories lead to more real opportunities, more real conversations than the posts and the reels that I put on Instagram. So when I can have my stories last for more than 24 hours, that's actually a game changer for your business. So that 3.99 per month, in my opinion, I. I don't work for Meta. I think it's worth it. I genuinely do. So as excited as somebody could be about their Instagram story lasting longer, that's how excited I am, Whatever that is. All right, let's get into some nonsense that's going on. So tonight, are you excited? Love Island USA starts tonight. I know you're like, oh, no, this is terrible. Nobody cares. I care. I hear the problem with Love Island USA is you guys. It's six episodes a week. Oh, an hour. An hour a day for six days out of the week. That is a lot of content. But I'll be watching because I have no life. The other show that's dominating right now is off campus. Off campus. Wait a minute. I don't remember what platform I'm watching it on. Am I watching it on Amazon? I don't remember. I think so. Anyway, that's that hockey drama that's based on those romance novels from. What's her name, Ellie Kennedy. Anyway, it's got 36 million global viewers in the first 12 days. The first episode was rough, but then after that gets a little bit better. I'll tell you what didn't get better. The second season of four Seasons on Apple. The first season had Steve Carell and a bunch of other people, and it was really good. So I watched the second season of four Seasons on Apple. Yeah, it's meh. It's a giant math. Hopefully what's not math is this. Thursday is a fantastic. This is my virtual event. It is the world's largest event about events. It is virtual. It is free eventtastic.com we are not gonna have On Demand. It's going to be bonkers. Do we have DJs? Yes. Do we have a Taylor Swift dance contest? Yes. We have a live cannonball dude. Yes. Will I be doing other strange things? Yes. We have almost 14,000 people registered. It's Thursday and Friday. Go to eventtastic.com if you don't register you are dork and you don't want to be a dork because dorkdom is a bad place to be. And I hope you have a great week and I hope I see you at a ventastic one Thursday later. Wait. I have two huge things to share with you. First, I have a book coming out. Stupider People have Done It. It's coming out the first week of June and all net author proceeds are going to the V Foundation for Cancer Research. This book might be terrible, but who cares?
