Listen live weekday afternoon starting at 3 on 8:80, ESPN, the ESPN New York app, and your smart speakers. All right, 4:00 hour. Don Han Rosenberg. That's right. Peter's with us. Back with us a little, you know, again, having a baby, things change. Your life changes.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, man.
Alan
And Abby, what is the biggest change so far, Peter, that you have endured right now? Real quick?
Peter Rosenberg
Biggest change? I mean, it's just the amount of time that I have accounted for me already in each day, you know, living as a selfish man for the most part, for my 45 years on this earth, you know, like, don't get me wrong, I'm a pretty damn responsible dog owner. And I have to like, that's medicine. A couple times a day. It's four or five trips outside a day. It's all those things. But it's, you know, this three hour kind of clock that I'm on that requires at each of those things I'm doing something. I mean, we, we generally, if we're both here, we're sharing responsibility. Right now, Natalie just did everything obviously, because I'm working. So she fed the baby, she's burping the baby, she's put swaddling the baby and putting her back down. But just having all of those things built in, it's just, it's just different that of course, and not working and being like, do I want to go back to all my jobs? This is, I don't know, These mornings free have been quite nice.
Alan
I gotta tell you, you kind of need to feed the baby. That's the biggest thing.
Peter Rosenberg
You do have to feed the baby. You do have to feed the baby.
Alan
The first thing, the first thing that I realized was I can't just leave like a chance to just go somewhere. Like that was, you know, again, especially you're, you know, you've lived a lot of your life independently. Once you get out on your own. For me, it was such a comfortable thing to just grab the keys and go.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah.
Alan
And then all of a sudden there's A baby in the house. You're like, oh, wait, I can't do that.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, fortunately, pack up.
Alan
I got to bring all this stuff. Like I had to go somewhere. You got to put like, it just. That's. To me, that was the biggest shock to the system was knowing I just can't get up and go. I can't even. Just like, you know, living in a house in suburbia where you just. I got to go out to the mailbox. You're not just wandering out to the mail. Oh, I see the neighbor. I'm gonna chat with the neighbor for a while. You can't do that now. I got a baby in the house. I gotta get out, get back in real quick. Like, do you don't want to ever leave the kid by themselves for any amount of time. So that was my shock.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah. I mean, this. I'm at the point where it's so early that I haven't even attempted to go anywhere. I mean, I was. I was gone Saturday for work actually, though, for like 15 hours. So that was something. But in terms of like, oh, it's nighttime. I might go do something. No, I mean, when I am here, I am here. That. That is all there is right now.
Don Hahn
But you're in that wheelhouse now. It's not mobile. Once she becomes mobile, then what? Alice is crazy. You go, leave the room to get a drink, you come back and she's not there. And that panic. But she's just right. She's right there. Just not an eye shot. That's.
Peter Rosenberg
You know, I gotta tell you, I saw the great Joe Tessatore on Saturday at Saturday night's main event. And he said, listen, I'm not gonna give you tons of advice. He's like, but I. He gave me. He said one piece of advice on the kids, and he said, you're not gonna pitch a perfect game. Like, go into this knowing you are going to mess up. Don't try to be the parent who like just nails everything and everything's perfect because you will invariably fail. So at some point, you're going to do something stupid. You're gonna get something wrong. It's going to happen. Don't believe you can pitch a perfect game because you won't. Do you have.
Don Hahn
Do you like that most. Do you know what your most stupid moment was, Alan?
Alan
Oh, God. I mean, he has four kids.
Peter Rosenberg
That's a lot of stupid moms.
Alan
Are you kidding me? I've had. I've had stupid moments all over the place. Just. Just, you know, again, just dumb things. Nothing I'd ever want to admit on the air. But I'll say this. That. That the thing I learned the most. That when you. By the time you have your fourth kid, you. You finally figure it out. You laugh at the madness. I sit so many times as a young parent. You get so uptight, and then you feel like everybody's judging you. And then there's, like, that. That moment where this is screaming baby, and you're in a place where people are looking at you like, can you get that baby to shut up? And all that stuff. And you get so uptight and so concerned, or you get angry at people for looking at you. And all you got to do. I'm telling you, just laugh at the madness. Just laugh with it. There's gonna be crazy moments. You're gonna be in the house, and the kid's gonna do something. Like it's. There's insanity everywhere, and you just have to. Instead of getting uptight about it, you laugh. Because as John, you. You will learn the thing I learned the most. Every time I look at Emma, I just go, how are you 23, 24 years old?
Don Hahn
Goes by so quick.
Alan
Happening right now.
Don Hahn
It goes by so quick.
Alan
That's all I got there.
Don Hahn
My quick moment, Peter, because it's some piece of advice that you need to keep, is that, you know, after I would feed, because I'd be on Marco duty and Nancy would be on Jalen duty because bassinet was on either side of our bed. And so, you know, you burp, burp Marco. And then it's just so comfortable. He's laying right on my chest. And Nancy would say to me, put him back in the bassinet. You're gonna fall asleep. I'm like, no, no. And I conked out, and I woke up hearing, boom. Rolled right off me off the bed. And then for a split second, I was expecting to see, like, the baby in pieces at the bottom of the bed. So there was, like, that half second, like, oh, my God, I just killed Marco.
Peter Rosenberg
By the way, you've been. You've already. That story, which you've told me before has already been in my head in multiple situations. I had. I had two of the most amateur hour parent things happen today. Number one, at the doctor's office, I go to change her diaper, and, I mean, she literally just starts pooping as I'm holding her legs up with the nurse standing there, and I'm just sitting there watching her poop. And we had tried a different formula, so the poop looked different and kind of disgusting, which they told me was totally normal. It's like that mustard seed sort of poop, and I haven't seen that before. And it's just coming out non stop. And then soon as that gets done, I start to put the diaper on. Now she starts peeing into the air. And, like, you know, the nurse obviously isn't judging you. I mean, you're there with your infant, but it's still just like, oh, my God. So that. That happens. And then I get home earlier and I'm. I'm feeding Maya, and when I put the bottle down for a second, I'm about to burp her, she's getting, like, sort of milk drunk, you know, and she has this moment. I don't know if you guys recall this, but I haven't had this happen. Natalie told me she's seen it multiple times. I hadn't, so I panicked. She's getting all sort of tired, and then her eyes roll back like the undertaker.
Alan
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
And I. Guys, I. Momentarily, Natalie yelled at me because I kind of shook her. She said, you can't shake her. And I'm like, no, it was a light shake. I got her eyes rolled back up. She's like, her eyes roll back. It's okay. I was like, oh, my God. Oh, God.
Alan
And I've probably been told we need to get. We need to get Peter the. The way that he can wear that. That. Remember Ben Stiller saw in. In Meet the Fockers. All right. Meet the Parents.
Don Hahn
Yeah.
Alan
Where he had a way to feed the baby, so it was more like the mother. I don't know how to describe it without getting too graphic. Wearing the. Wearing the. The bottles. Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
You just want that image.
Alan
I think we need to. I just want you to have that, Peter, because I know you would use it.
Don Hahn
He had a name for it.
Alan
I got.
Don Hahn
I can't remember what it was.
Alan
That's why I was struggling with it.
Don Hahn
But anyway, just really quick. Just also with girls, and I learned this in the movie Jersey Girl. And then you're told it later on with the girl always front to back.
Alan
Oh, yes, that front.
Don Hahn
Very important, that.
Alan
And when you have boys, when you change in the diaper, you put the faith cloth. Face cloth right on you. His piece. So that you don't have a sprinkler.
Don Hahn
It's a gun.
Alan
Because the sprinkler's coming.
Peter Rosenberg
It's a water.
Alan
Yeah. You know, it's a water pistol. No doubt about that. 800-93776. To answer your question, from now with 10 minutes ago, Don, which was, which.
Don Hahn
Was my question was if, if Shane knew that by not resigning Saquon he was going to go directly to Philadelphia, would you change your plan and keep him just to avoid everything that's happening, happened?
Alan
My answer is no, and here's why. Because you don't compound a bad decision with a bad decision. So the whole thing is this, he wasn't in your plans. So if he's not in your plans, he's not in your plans. You stick to that business model, right? Okay, whatever it is, this was not the plan. But I'm not now going to change my plan out of a spite move. You don't do business with emotion. So that's what that would have been. Now, you would have upset the entire game plan and you would have told your head coach, well, now you got to figure out how to use him because we're going to pay him a ton of money and we're not going to pay him a ton of money just to have you use him as like this secondary piece in the offense. He now has to be a centerpiece. And that's not what we were planning on doing. And now the coaches, everything changes. You could ruin the whole thing. Now, I understand that we saw the season that, okay, now they have no talent. So at least they would add some talent in a guy like him. And he is a high, high level talent. But do you understand what I mean by that would be a spiteful decision. That is the worst way to do business.
Don Hahn
Now, obviously, if you knew that this season was going to be as bad as it was because those offensive linemen they signed didn't work out, at least not in the immediate. Might have been a little bit of a different situation. You got to stick to your guns. I mean, the one thing I admire about Cheney came in here with just, no, no heart. It's all mind. It's all, maybe it, maybe it doesn't work out at the end of the day, but the reason why fans would never make for good general managers. And listen, Cohen and Stearns are going through with the Mets right now. And Pete Alonso, your heart tells you bring Pete back, but your head tells you it's probably not the brightest thing to do and it's against the plan that they have. So you got to take emotion out of it. But certainly it did not age well. And I think the arrogance of what happened on Hard Knocks, where he just almost defiantly said Philadelphia's not interested, made him seem like he was had. So this thing is not aged well, it does not look well. So I think both could be true. Right Peter, that you could agree the Giants did the right thing letting Saquon go, but the way it was handled seen on Hard Knocks and seeing the year that Saquon's had in Philadelphia, it is certainly not look good. I think Maya needed it went exactly.
Peter Rosenberg
The way you would. It went exactly the way you would not want it to go if you're a Giants fan. But it's not also guys, it's not as simple as that one thing like of course you wish you never lost the guy, but there's so many other things that you could point to that would have been the things that would have made it made sense to keep Saquon. But because those other things didn't happen, what would having him have changed? Were the holes going to be look like they looked yesterday for the Eagles offensive line? They're not. They weren't going to. He wasn't going to be dashing free for 60 yards play after play on the Giants. He just wasn't. But as I pointed out when it happened, the thing that really stings for Shane is that it would have been so much easier to get it wrong by keeping Saquon because the owner wanted him. At least if you'd kept him and gotten it wrong, you go, sorry John, you got it wrong. But instead Shane decided to make his bed and it may end with the guy becoming super bowl mvp, and it.
Alan
Also may end with eventually them moving on from the hierarchy the Giants have right now. But they kept them around for one more year. We'll see where that goes.
Natalie

Meanwhile, in the other football team in New York, they have a new hierarchy that was hired last week and introduced today. The head coach, Aaron Glenn, the general manager, Darren Muji. And so now these guys are introduced. And look, I think everything we compared to almost goes back to now. Adam Gase. Well, he wasn't Adam Gase. Right. Because that was such a horrific introduction to the New York media. But Aaron Glenn, I will say, and we, we do get seduced by this stuff. Robert Saller was really good at a podium. We know Rex was good at a podium. There have been times where we felt like, yeah, this guy's good. I can get behind him. I want to play a little bit of what Aaron Glenn had to say today in his first comments as head coach of the New York Jets. And you guys let me know just if it sounds right. And that's the only thing I'm going to ask right now because it's all we've got to go on. So here's Aaron Glenn talking about that he wanted this job.
Aaron Glenn
Listen, I want this job. I interviewed for a number of them, but I wanted this job. When I was going to my second interview. I want to make sure this is going to be my. This is going to be the second interview. It's going to be the first of the second interviews because I didn't want to leave the building without shaking Woody's hand and make sure we had a contract. So I'm just telling you now, everything else was really out of it. It was all about the jets. And it's been that way from the beginning. The organization, we've already talked. I respect every little thing that you do because this is bigger than me. It's going to take us all. It's going to take us all to accumulate wins. And I look forward to working with you.
Alan
I mean, he makes it clear this was the job he wanted. Now, he also understands as a former player what he's gone through from as bad as Rich Cotai to as good as the Parcells era. So he talked about unfinished business.
Aaron Glenn
If I go back to my first two years, I think we were 2 and 14 and 1 in 15. The following year Bill Parcell comes in and he just totally brought a different mentality and different people and different people. And to me, that's what really changed the culture. And here's what I learned. I can stand in front of a group of men and I can give as many rah rah speeches as I can, but culture is about people and getting the right people in the building. And I saw that firsthand, what Bill Parcells did. And that's why the turnaround was so fast. Again. We went 9, 7. The next year we went to the playoffs and we lost. And I would say this. Let me, let me, let me go. Here's another thing. And you, you may would know this here, another reason why in 98 we played the Denver Broncos, we're out there and we are winning 10 to nothing in the first half. We come back in the second half, they kick the ball off. When you remember this, it was windy, the ball stops midair, fought and they recovered and they scored two touchdowns. I'll be damned if I'm not going to come back here and get that back. And that's one of the reasons why that sounds personal.
Alan
One more, boys. Before I let you guys go on this, Aaron Glenn and his message to the player.
Aaron Glenn
Put your seat belts on and get ready for the ride. Listen, there are going to be some challenges, but with challenges begins opportunity. But here's what I do know. We're the Freaking New York Jets. So we're built for this.
Alan
What do you think of that?
Don Hahn
Well, that last one was a little bit much.
Alan
Not.
Don Hahn
Not because he swore. It's like, what does it mean? Like, I agree with you. All the things he really wanted this job, great. He won the day. He won the press conference. That doesn't win you games. It makes you feel good. As a Jet fan, I'm sure you're all pumped up right now. You know, I was pumped up when Joe Judge had his introductory press conference. What did that do? Right? You know, listen, Gase is looking at Flying Tacos. That didn't work out, all right? Ben McAdoo's got a suit that doesn't fit him. That didn't work out like. So we all like to apply the fiery press conference to it. Working out. Like, Tom Coughlin had a fiery press conference back in, oh, four. That worked out. They won a couple of Super Bowls, but at the end of the day, it doesn't really mean a lot. It's good pr. It's a good first step forward. But I don't think it really changes whether he's going to be able to do the job or not. What, because he. Because he was on the field when they lost in the 98 championship game, he's going to want to win more and do a better job than Robert Sala did. Robert Sala also had a great opening press conference, if I'm not mistaken. You know, so. But that's where I kind of like, draw the line, Peter. Like, all right, so you're on the jets, unfinished business. But does that mean you want to do a better job than anybody else that's been hired? Everybody, especially if it's your first job, everybody wants to kill it. Everybody wants to do a great job. So so far, he's checked a lot of boxes, but we'll see it when it happens.
Peter Rosenberg
All you want to do in this introductory press conference is not lose the press conference. I don't really believe there's even such thing as winning. But just don't lose. Don't come away sounding like an idiot, looking like an idiot, doing anything that makes people think you're a joke. He did a good job not making those mistakes. Besides that, by the way, Don, another. Another, really? Another truly underrated Rosenberg take was how I crushed the Joe Judge press conference. Do you remember that?
Don Hahn
Was it.
Peter Rosenberg
Michael loved it. Was it the Judge, wasn't it?
Don Hahn
Or the Shermer?
Peter Rosenberg
No, it was Judge, because Judge was the one that was aggressive. And I thought he Sounded ridiculous.
Don Hahn
There were so many of them, so.
Peter Rosenberg
I know there was one you want. Literally, I spent five minutes trying to think of which one it was because there have been so many, but most of them are, you know, in this town, it seems.
Alan
I'm sure Anthony can find it.
Don Hahn
Michael loved it. Michael thought Michael was. Put him in the hall of Fame.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, I'm used to my team stinking, don. It's been 20 years. It's. Giants are not used to being the laughing stock of the NFL, so welcome to the gutter. I know what it's like to have a press conference and get emotional. Don't worry, I'll talk to you next year when you're looking for someone new.
Alan
Well, yeah, you were right on the money on that one. Now, can I. Can I say. Can I now, as the resident Jet fan, can I say something that. I know you guys will both roll your eyes at me when I say it, but I'm going to do it anyway because I'm going to be vulnerable.
Don Hahn
Okay.
Alan
He sounded like Mike Tomlin. That. That's the one thing that I loved. His messaging, how he spoke. That's a guy that will command a room. I felt that good about it. But it wasn't like just rah rah speech stuff. I know the last thing that was for the fans, right? He dropped that. He dropped the curse in there and stuff. That was for the. That was for the fans in the media. That was the sound bite. But the other stuff, him talking about his time with the jets, him talking about why this was the job I wanted. There was a lot of absolute in his speaking. It wasn't just kind of cliches and mottos and sayings. This is a guy that was speaking from the heart and it means something to him. And he also just. His mannerisms had a bit of Tomlin to him that I was like, you know what? I can get behind this. I want to see this do well. And so that's what I got at. Am I crazy to at least suggest that?
Don Hahn
No, because I think Peter nailed it. You can't win a press conference, but you can lose it.
Alan
Yes.
Don Hahn
Right. Like Gase lost the press conference. He just didn't look like. Because again, it's all about being prepared, right? So you can check the box of listen, you're prepared. He knew he was having a press conference and he nailed it. So that means that if you give him a task, he should be able to come through with it. And listen, it's going to get a lot harder. Press conferences are easy compared to game plans and motivational speeches and going out there and winning games for sure. But at least it seemed like he was prepared for this job, wanted the job, said all the right things. So I'm with Peter. You can lose a press conference. He certainly didn't do that. But it's hard to say, you win a press conference, you got to go out there and you got to win and then we'll look back and see and connect all the dots. But I think part of his reason for jumping off this way, Allen, was it didn't seem like it was an attractive job. And there were certain people that weren't interviewed because they weren't interested in the job. You've got Woody Johnson, he's got his fat hands. You don't know what the quarterback situation is. So it makes you feel good that what looked to be one of the bottom rung opportunities this guy's not looking at that way. This is a job he's wanted for a long time and that's got to make you feel good.
Alan
He's trying to breathe some air into it, right. To put some oxygen back into a job that right now does feel like it's low rung in the NFL. Well, speaking of the quarterback situation, he did address that, or sort of. So when asked about Aaron Rodgers, listen.
Aaron Glenn
I came on Wednesday. Well, I got the job on Wednesday. Mooch came and got the job on Saturday. We came here on Sunday and we started talking. Here's what I do know. Aaron Rodgers will be talked about. We've already texted that communication with Aaron Rodgers. And as we continue to look at the roster, we'll make decisions accordingly. And that's what a number of people right on the team.
Alan
Okay, there's that and then there's. Okay, so how soon will we come to a decision?
Aaron Glenn
Well, me and Mooj is going to sit and talk and just go over the whole roster. And I would tell you now, that's going to be the answer to a number question when it comes to the roster in general. So we're looking forward to that process. I can't tell you how long that process would be. But the thing is, we're going to make sure we get the right answer and we're not going to rush to this answer. We're going to get the right answer.
Don Hahn
That's good.
Alan
What do we think he likes?
Don Hahn
And also not treating the position like it's any other position. We're going to evaluate all positions. We're going to take a look at.
Alan
All the players they know how important this is.
Don Hahn
Come on. They. But there's a lot of, you know, general managers and head coaches that like to downplay the tough decisions are all tough decisions. And we're going to care about the third tight end as much as we're going to care about the court. No, no, no. You got a quarterback. You need a quarterback. You have. You might have one, you might not. You know, and even if you know you have Aaron Rodgers, what are you going to get in 2025 at a guy that's 41 years old? No, he. He's acknowledging. The elf in the room, believe it or not, is kind of a lost talent sometimes. Everybody wants to hide the elephant in the room, acknowledge it, embrace it, do something about it.
Alan
It's the way it has to be. I mean, it is the biggest thing now going forward, we're all going to wonder who the offensive coordinator is and all the other stuff, but it's still going to be who's the quarterback and then where they go from here. And like I said, I'm feeling less and less like they would want to bring him back. I think they want a fresh start and we'll see certainly where that goes. Let's take Mark in Boston real quick. Mark, reaction.
Don Hahn
What's up, Mark?
Mark
I just had one question. I myself am a Patriots fan, so I've watched for years the Patriots versus the jets twice a year. But listening to Aaron Glenn and everything he said, it seems like he's like hyping up the fan base and everything. But it would seem more he has to do for the morale of the team because season after season after season they don't make the playoffs and this and that. It seemed like he would have to build up the team more and hype.
Alan
Up the team itself to get to that. You'll have to get to that, Mark.
Don Hahn
But press conferences are for the fans. That's what they're for. He's addressing the fans today. He's addressing the media, which the media then addresses the fans that didn't watch the press conference. Like, he'll address the team in good time. They're all over the country right now, some of the guys that might impact the 25 season or are not even on the team right now. He'll get his moment when training camp opens. He'll get his moments before games. Today was about the fans. That's what he was saying.
Alan
And he gave you a little taste of how he will be in front of the group. I think when you hear the way he was talking like I think he was giving you a little taste of it. Like that. That's something that he was doing. Alex in Orlando. Alex.
Mark
Hey, what's up, fellas? Just first and foremost, before. Before I get to my jet point, I just wanted to say it's just such a pleasure to hear three gentlemen who personally, as a 27 year old, give me motivation to be a better man. Hearing Peter talk about it and having baby Maya and obviously I heard Don, you know, when he was having his kids. And it's just, you know, definitely an inspiration to me as a younger man and definitely love hearing you guys. You guys are kind of like a part of my life and I love hearing you guys grow up through life. First and foremost, to get to the jetpoint, I just wanted to say, you know, I definitely. I'm pumped up that. I mean, Han, you always say it. Alan, you say blood in the ground. I mean, one more. What more can you do, man? Like, I'm. I started this job, I started a new job recently and I was talking to a co worker and he was just saying, you know, like, you care. It's just because, like, I want to do a good job. And you just felt it in the press conference that he cares. This means something to him. And he said it, I mean, and you know, just like, just like in Godfather, you know, once I. Or not Godfather, Al Pacino says, you know, every time I think I'm out, I'm back in. I'm like the Homer Simpson.

Don Hahn
I mean, do what you want with your money, but I haven't even looked at the odds yet. But according to John Tortorella, half the half the Flyers did not show up to the morning skate and the half that did were all throwing up in the locker room.
Peter Rosenberg
So it's not what you want.
Don Hahn
That's not what you want.
Alan
Take. Take the Devils. You're saying.
Don Hahn
Well, just based on that information, do what you want sometimes.
Alan
Yeah, right.
Don Hahn
That's. That's not good.
Alan
Wow. How about this on the Miami Heat side of things in the NBA? So the Jimmy Butler saga continues. He's being now suspended without pay, effective immediately for the indefinite period to last no fewer than five games. No fewer than five games. Now we if you guys aren't aware, the trade deadline is February 6th, which is in, I think 10 days. Right.
Don Hahn
It's early.
Alan
They do that now because of the All Star. It used to be after All Star and it was always awkward to be at All Star and have players who were involved in trade rumors having to answer those questions. So they moved.
Don Hahn
It still makes it early.
Alan
It is, yeah. But I think I'd rather have a player for more time if I'm going to make a trade, you know, at the deadline. So that's why they did it. But the Heat said in a statement the suspension is due to a continued pattern of disregard of team rules, engaging in conduct detrimental to the team and intentionally withholding services. This includes walking out of practice earlier today. Like they're not even like, you know, like some teams just put out a statement and keep it very vague. No, the Miami Heat are letting you know chapter in verse, the problems that they have right now with Jimmy Riley.
Don Hahn
You don't mess with that.
Peter Rosenberg
No, exactly. And it sounds like his mind is made up on how this thing's going to go.
Alan
Well, he wants a trade because they're not going to pay. They don't. They're not going to give him the extension he's looking for. They. They are going to trade him, but they're going to trade him where they get the best deal. And the problem is there's not many teams in the league that want to deal with him. He's got an opt out, but he still has. It's like 48 million if he doesn't. $50 million. He's 35 years old and he's a pain in the ass. He is. Now you're. He's going to go somewhere and he's going to be the good student. I promise you, wherever he gets traded, you're going to get his best in the beginning. Then he'll also then start saying, okay, let's negotiate an extension. See how good I am for you. And who's going to be the sucker to give him a four year max deal? Because that's what he wants. And if he doesn't get it, guess what he's going to start doing again?
Don Hahn
Acting up.
Alan
Yeah. So I don't know who's the team that's going to make this move, but the Phoenix Suns seem to be the only team that's kicking the tires on it.
Don Hahn
You know, they gotta do something.
Alan
I, I just like he's one of these guys now where he's. I think his reputation now has become so big because of some playoff performances he's had that people really like There are fans that really believe you gotta get him no matter what, but he's somebody that can disrupt your locker room. He can be such a. He could be so tough to deal with. If Pat Riley's giving up like he's done with you, that would be a red flag for me. So.
Peter Rosenberg
And I stand by the fact that as great as Jimmy Butler is in the playoffs, which obviously matters a lot, he will trick you into thinking, oh, my God, we have one of the best players in the league. And then you will go through phases of an entire season where he just comes off as a role player. Like he just isn't that guy.
Alan
It's just. Isn't engaged.
Don Hahn
Or is that the problem?
Alan
Feel like playing tonight, that's the thing that drives you crazy. And he's so. He's out there, but he's not playing, if that makes sense. He's on the court, but it's not all.
Peter Rosenberg
You're not getting all of them right.
Alan
And it's just his moods. He's just, again, a different guy. But playoff time, he's. He's had his moment. So, again, that's something to watch before the February 6th trade deadline on the Knicks side of things, you know, I'm still waiting to hear if Mitchell Robinson's even going to play. They keep saying he should be cleared to practice in the month of January, but count the days, boys. Yeah, the end of the month is. Is Thursday, so, you know, he hasn't been cleared to practice yet, so that's something to watch. Will the Knicks do something to get a. To get some. Some size? They're going to have an issue tonight against this Grizzlies team. They're a big front line, a ton of size, team that plays fast, John Moran in town. This, tonight's going to be a very interesting game for a Knicks team that's won three in a row. So 800 now. 193776. We have lots of calls certainly, to talk to you when it comes to the football, the basketball, everything else that Ranger lost on. Yikes. That was a heartbreaker, that game with the comeback and. And to lose it the way they did. So we got the hockey end of it all. Lots to get to in the 5 o'clock hour, which also includes hearing from Saquon Barkley on his renaissance, his new life in Philadelphia. As a Giants fan. How do you feel about it? That's coming up. But, Donnie, I think you got some Mazda for me. Yes.
