Peter Rosenberg
Don, sometimes fraud gives you movement. It sounded like it moved.
Alan Hahn
Han, you heard a squish. And Rosenberg shake gently to assure complete activation. Hello, this isn't North Dakota. This is New York. This is Don Hahn and Rosenberg. The best threesome I've ever heard on 880 ESPN. And the ESPN New York app Game.
Peter Rosenberg
Time is brought to you by Tullibardu. Irish Whiskey. Because when it's game time, I like when he holds it. Mets welcome in. The Braves with coverage immediately following us on 880 at 6 30. And the Yankees continue their series with the Twins at 7.
Alan Hahn
O5.
Peter Rosenberg
The Liberty Visit the Spark, the Sparks, excuse me. In LA at 10. Tunnel Mardu. The original triple distilled, triple blended and triple cast matured Irish Whiskey. Be sure to grab a Tullamore Dew or try the Tullamore Dew, honey. During today's action. Glasses up to enjoying Telemurdi responsibly. Thanks to everybody on Twitter. Apparently the Amish beard is the morning show's picks, not their fantasy football.
Alan Hahn
Oh, it's the pigs.
Peter Rosenberg
I was throwing up because they said Grasso was in it, but I guess Grasso fills in so much that he's going to be a part of that. And they were talking about finishing in last place. So I was thinking about fantasy football, but actually they're doing it for their picks. But I still know that they do fantasy football and we're not invited.
Alan Hahn
Listen, I'm not gonna tell you I feel great about it. I don't.
Peter Rosenberg
I don't know why.
Alan Hahn
I don't think they care for us.
Peter Rosenberg
But why wouldn't you send the invite out to everybody? You know, not everybody's gonna say yes. So we're talking about a maximum of what, like 15 people? That's a lot for a league. I get it. But not everybody is gonna say yes. And now you've alienated some people that might want to actually play. It doesn't sound very team friendly, does it?
Alan Hahn
But do they generally seem team friendly?
Peter Rosenberg
No.
Alan Hahn
I mean, honestly, let's be real for a second. I think that the afternoon program, both the Last. Both the last and this iteration of the program are the most inclusive of the other shows. What are your thoughts?
Peter Rosenberg
I don't disagree. Very little crossover. Very little.
Alan Hahn
But not on this show. We all were always bringing up the other shows. We're doing things, talking about things they say, repurposing their audio. You know, you know how we are. We're team players, Don.
Peter Rosenberg
But apparently that was just for their picks. They do three picks a week and we got to figure out our punishment too. And we can. Actually. I was very disappointed in how last year ended where we just tapped out, where we could have very easily continued it and didn't, but now we can start fresh.
Alan Hahn
But by the way, that, that we need to be clear about what happened there. That was Michael K. Yeah. Of course he pretended it wasn't, but we know it was him. We know it was him, of course.
Peter Rosenberg
Because I think everybody wanted to continue it, but he didn't want to.
Alan Hahn
And he pretended like it was sort of pushed on to him. But I think he, he just wanted to be done.
Peter Rosenberg
Yes, he was.
Alan Hahn
And move on with his life.
Peter Rosenberg
He was done.
Alan Hahn
And was he in first place? Was he in last place?
Peter Rosenberg
I think he was in last. That's why I think he was.
Alan Hahn
It was you than me than him.
Peter Rosenberg
It was still very close though. And there was still more than enough time that we could have figured it out. But they tapped out. But now we've got a chance this year to do it right.
Alan Hahn
And by the way, I think it's also time, respectfully, to take Drop Madness next year. I don't see why that dies. Drop Madness came into existence. Let's just be honest, because I came on the Michael Cage show. Yes, it was not going to exist before I got there. It was like Enn whether Michael claims credit for not it was a Rosenberg driven vehicle. Why not take it here?
Peter Rosenberg
Well, listen, not that I. The thing is, when it was just me and Michael, Michael saying he didn't want to do it, there wasn't enough votes to vote him out. You now become another person that was able to vote for it. You know what I'm saying? Like, I love the idea. Dropped out. Michael was very much against it. But then when you came on, I voted yes. You voted yes. And then Michaels voted out.
Alan Hahn
Oh, yeah. He was always kind of like, eh.
Peter Rosenberg
No, he never wanted to do it. And I thought it was amazing.
Alan Hahn
So since he never wanted it and we have it now and now we're here, why not just move on and do it now?
Peter Rosenberg
And I think we're gonna do it. There's plenty of drops. I tried to include the whole show, the whole station, if you remember going into this march, but it never gained any traction. So we'll take. We'll take that over and let's come up with some really cool punishments. And you know, Allen's into it because again, he's got a Met tattoo because of a bad. He lost with Rick. So you know, he'll be in now.
Alan Hahn
Anthony. Anthony makes the point and I do think it's a good one. The one. I believe it was me who suggested it, but I don't recall. Doesn't matter. Drop madness across the four show day parts where there's a region for each show.
Peter Rosenberg
I just said, yeah, that was my idea.
Alan Hahn
I think that's very appealing. Sorry.
Peter Rosenberg
But nothing happened.
Alan Hahn
Died on the vine, right?
Peter Rosenberg
Yes. Died on the vine. That's all right. A lot of things die on the vine.
Don Hahn
We could change our picks too. Could do over unders now. Possibilities are endless.
Peter Rosenberg
I am very much excited about the possibility of having we do our picks. What is it like three. And one of them can be an over under or something like something of that ilk instead of it just being what's the point?
Alan Hahn
It should be. It should be any picks. That's that everyone can go bet anytime touchdowns.
Peter Rosenberg
I don't want to get too in the. In the weeds because now it may not be as. As even. You know, I think over unders should be a part of certainly over unders. But we can. We can negotiate that. But I want a good punishment. Something good.
Alan Hahn
We know you like a good punish.
Peter Rosenberg
We can get John Winthrop. Our pinhead suit to decide what is within the tolerance of.
Alan Hahn
I would say, how about whoever loses the contest has to go with John Winthrop and his family to one of his many Disney trips.
Peter Rosenberg
Why should John lose out? What did he do?
Alan Hahn
No, no, John still gets to go.
Peter Rosenberg
I know, but he would still take it as a loss if he had to take one of. What do you mean?
Alan Hahn
No, you have to watch his kids. You have to wait on line with them. You know what I mean? Like he needs help.
Peter Rosenberg
I could see that.
Alan Hahn
By the way, speaking of punishment. Hey, guys, we're gonna spend some money, make a nice commercial to air on tv. Let's hear if this is something that could really bring new audience.
Peter Rosenberg
Hey, good news.
Alan Hahn
Happy hour starts early. That's right, at 3pm with me, Don and Peter on 98.7espn.
Peter Rosenberg
We're talking sports with the biggest names in the game.
Alan Hahn
And we want to hear from You. The Michael K show, weekdays at 3.
Peter Rosenberg
Bad.
Alan Hahn
It's horrible. It's God awful.
Peter Rosenberg
I don't.
Alan Hahn
It's God awful. What do you say? It's God.
Peter Rosenberg
No, it's not anything special?
Alan Hahn
Nothing. But it's not that. I know. It's like. I guess it's not embarrassing. By the way, speaking which, what is going on with Schefter's tie? What? Why are people wearing these gigantic ties?
Peter Rosenberg
I think that's the new thing.
Alan Hahn
Well, guess what? Sorry, I'm staying where I'm at.
Peter Rosenberg
Sneakers and suits and gigantic clown ties.
Alan Hahn
And by the way. Or showing your whole chest. Right? What is everyone doing? Look at that thing. It's his whole. The whole opening of the jacket is filled.
Peter Rosenberg
We might have to shut the TVs now that Peter's back because he's too easily distracted.
Alan Hahn
Well, you know, listen, when Ty's on, he goes, could someone turn off General Hospital? That was my tie impression.
Peter Rosenberg
Q tip.
Don Hahn
You have great ones.
Peter Rosenberg
That one a good one?
Alan Hahn
No, I just held my nose.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, that's not nice.
Alan Hahn
Well, he's like, Q tip. Who has a nasal voice? Someone turn off General Hospital. I don't know how to do Ty's voice.
Peter Rosenberg
Listen, I admire the fact that you workshop these things, but this does sound like something you're gonna really have to work on.
Alan Hahn
Well, if I was doing a Q tip voice, the abstract, poetic, you know, I don't know how to do it. I don't know how to get nasal like that. But he has to walk in and go, can someone turn off General Hospital? Turn that off this tv. Because he can't see what's happened. Because he has to watch General Hospital every day. This commercial, Don, you're telling. I want to convince you guys why. Guys, we do a great show. Really? Why should I watch? You know what? I'm glad you asked. Let me tell you.
The Michael K Show. That was the one line I got, by the way. Don problem. Probably went to management. Said I better get two lines before that fat idiot.
Peter Rosenberg
No, wait a minute, wait a minute.
Alan Hahn
I had to get one line at the end.
Peter Rosenberg
Did you? It like, literally is a 15 second hit.
Alan Hahn
It's so bad.
Peter Rosenberg
What do you expect to do in 15 seconds? We didn't even.
Alan Hahn
Sports, like sports games.
Peter Rosenberg
We didn't even pay for 30 seconds.
Alan Hahn
So it's a 17 second. What do you.
Peter Rosenberg
What do you want to put in? But between the tag at the end, I think literally there was like 10 seconds of content. Three guys talking. What do you expect? The biggest names in the game. Get it Name and game rhymes. Now we're on. I would listen to that show.
Alan Hahn
Yeah, that's a show.
Peter Rosenberg
What's going on there?
Alan Hahn
Do you like games? Do you like names? Do you like sports? Do you like jorts? We only rhyme these.
Peter Rosenberg
These were little like literally 10 to 15 seconds ads that they would play like during Ranger and nick games on MSG. And they actually aired. Some of them aired on ABC. Like Kofi sent us the video.
Alan Hahn
It's from ABC.
Peter Rosenberg
It's from ABC, Channel 7. But what do you expect to get done in 10 seconds?
Alan Hahn
Peter, you're right. I don't know. It's just not good.
Peter Rosenberg
And I also looked at the video because you showed me like a still. I don't think I was that repug. I was. I was definitely morphing away from repug by then.
Alan Hahn
I said that. You're the one who came in and said you're not morphed now.
Peter Rosenberg
You're a fraud video. That's in the thick of. That's in the thick of it. Go find that on social media. I think. I think we retweeted it on the Don Hanna Rosenberg account. That is in the thicker of you.
Alan Hahn
You were deep in it right there. Weeds.
Peter Rosenberg
And now I can almost understand where people are like, he's too far gone. There's no reason. There's no reason to even bring it.
Alan Hahn
Up at this point. Yeah, just let him be filthy.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, but all right. Mets, Braves tonight. And you know, the Yankees beat the Twins. But let's face they're supposed to beat the Twins. Okay, you're not going to solve. Peter said it yesterday. You're not going to solve the world's problems with one win. All right. It's going to take more than just winning a game to make you feel like either of these teams are turning it around. But I'm sorry, Yankees being the Twins is nothing. Just all you gotta do is show up. The Twins cannot beat the Yankees on a bet. So the fact that the Yankees beat them, so what? Sweep the series and then we'll have a conversation when they go to St. Louis. Take on the Cardinals. Cardinals are at least an above.500 team. We'll see what happens there. But the mets are home three game series with the Braves. Braves are 51 and 67. There are 16 games under 500. And yet you fear them because the Mets can't beat the Braves. Strider versus Holmes. How long is Holmes going to go? Like four and two thirds maybe he'll give you five innings at least. I don't mind going into the bullpen tonight, Peter, because you had the day off yesterday so it's not that awful but still. I don't know how much length you get out of homes but you got to be able to beat the Braves. But here's the question. I heard Michael talking about this today as we start play today because the Phillies beat the Reds last night. The Mets are six full games back at the Phillies for first place in the National League East. The Mets as we speak going into play tonight for the wild card have the third wild card. They're holding off the Reds by three games in the loss column, two overall in the standings. Mets have a three game lead in the loss column. The Reds are playing the Phillies. Peter, so I ask you, if you're a Met fan, are you rooting for the Phillies to win so that you can distance yourself away from the Reds who are the biggest threat to knock you out of the playoffs? Or you're rooting for the Reds to beat the Phillies so you have a chance to gain ground on the first place team? What are you doing?
Alan Hahn
This is why it's hard for me to like to care. Do you think about either or you just hope your team wins, starts winning games? Well, am I really worried? I really am. I scoreboard watching right now.
Peter Rosenberg
It's August 12th. I mean we're down to 44 games, whatever it is, so I don't think it's. I understand your point. Just get better. If you win games, you're going to make the playoffs and it's all going to sort itself out. But you do, you do take a look at the teams that you're in competition with and you want to see certain results. It's not the end of the world. There's still a lot of baseball left to be played. I still root for the Reds to beat the Phillies and here's why, even though the Mets are six back, I don't want to concede now. The way they're playing, they're not even going to make the playoffs. When you're, when you're 19 and 31 over your last 50 games, whatever it is, you got to be worried about making the playoffs, not winning the division. However, you're only six back. You've got games against the Phillies left on your schedule. I still want to win this division. I still see value winning the division, and I'm really not overly concerned about the Reds. The Mets are a better team than Cincinnati. If the Mets can't make the playoffs with the roster they have, they're in big time trouble. So even though the Reds are only three back in the loss column and the Cardinals are only four back, and that's a lot closer than the Mets are to first place, I still want to get first place. I still believe that this team is good enough. And with the games they have left with the Phillies can find a way to get back into winning this division. I don't want to concede the division because now you're back to where you were last year. Now, winning the division doesn't keep you out of the wild card, but at least it gives you home games. Right now, The Phillies have 69 wins. The brewers have 74. They're running away with the National League. The Dodgers, who have struggled recently, only five and five in their last 10. They've lost two in a row. They've got 68 wins. So if the Mets can win the east, they can actually avoid having to play the wild card altogether. Peter, I still think there's enough time. Even though it sounds like folly that they're playing so bad, I still want to try to win this division. So when I glance up at the Phillies Reds game, I'm going to be rooting for the Reds to win the game.
Alan Hahn
That's fair. You know what I'm rooting for if I'm a Mets? For the Mets to win a game. Well, no, it's important.
Peter Rosenberg
That's a given.
Alan Hahn
You think there's a chance that today's the day, the beginning, the beginning of.
Peter Rosenberg
Waterline, Turn it around at least.
Alan Hahn
At least. And stopping the bleeding, it would be.
Peter Rosenberg
Something because then you beat, beat the Braves, which is something they can't seem to do. So that would be at least a.
Alan Hahn
Hell, a little something.
Peter Rosenberg
But you got to get something going here. We talked about it yesterday. I just can't believe we're in the situation that we're in that we're talking about the Mets and the Yankees possibly not making the playoffs. Now. I think the likelihood is still slim. I think both these teams are going to go to the playoffs and certainly the Yankees, I think, have more of a chance to win their division than maybe the Mets do, as the Yankees sit, you know, six back as well. But they've got to climb over two teams, the Red Sox and the Blue Jays. Well, the Mets only have to just catch the Phillies. But the Red Sox very quietly have lost three in a row. Still a lot of baseball, but ultimately you're right, Peter. Worry about yourself and play better.
Alan Hahn
Worry about yourself. And also, again, like, how are we having conversations about what happens one day? You know, you just give me a few days at a time now. Yeah, Yankees got a win yesterday. A bunch of home runs, too.
Peter Rosenberg
That's nice to see Stanton not hurting them in the field. Rice with a home run. By the way, I do want to.
Alan Hahn
Say, and we'll see what happens. I know this could play out bad. Last week when the possibility of Stanton playing in the field came up, I said it's absolutely what you have to do if you want to win. Now, if you're punting on the year, then you shouldn't play him. But if the hope is that you still think you could do something here, then Don, I think you have to see if what Stanton can give you in the field, just, just see.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, you just don't want to lose the bat. But you saw a situation on Sunday where he pinched hit and they kept him in the game because at the time it was 4:1. So they're thinking might get another crack at it later in the game. Maybe we find a way to tie the. I don't want to take his bat out because not everybody's hitting. But that does come at the expense of good defense. But really, every decision the Yankees have made lately has been what produces more runs than what prevents more runs. Right. They seem to live with Volpe's errors because he's hit 17 home runs. They were able to live with Jazz playing third base because they don't want to take his bat out of the lineup. So same thing with Stan.
Alan Hahn
And by the way, you know, listen, I know analytics have changed this, sure. But you're telling me analytics have ruined put the fat kid in right field. That still exists, doesn't it?
Peter Rosenberg
Well, because most of the analytics are.
Alan Hahn
And by the way, I can say that I was that fat kid.
Peter Rosenberg
I understand. And he's the. Well, it's not that Stan's fat, but he's a mess.
Alan Hahn
But he's the equivalent fielding wise when it comes to this team. He's put the guy who can't move quickly. He's going to be a bit of a lia to build. He can't throw him in right field. Hope you can live with it. Of course you can. It's not ideal. But guess what? The whole situation's not ideal. And you need, and you need Judge and Stanton both playing, but every decision.
Peter Rosenberg
The Yankees make from an analytical standpoint comes from a offense. Well, we got to move Dominguez to left field because we don't want to lose his bat. You know, we got to move Judge to center or we've got to move Jazz to third or. Or whatever they decide to do on a daily basis is always about offense. So why should Stanton playing the outfield be any different? He seems at times to be their best offensive player, and he's at least a threat to hit a home run, which he did yesterday in the back to back home runs with. With him and Rice. But it's the Twins, and they always seem to beat the Twins, and the Braves always seem to beat the Mets. So the Yankees got it going on the next three days, or at least counting yesterday, three days in the Mets. What are they going to do against the Braves? Let's get it going here. Let's start winning some baseball games. You've lost 10 of 11. I mean, come on, you got the braves, who are 16 games under.500. You're playing at Citi Field. I'm interested to see what the reaction is going to be tonight. I mean, they're probably going to get booed as they take the field, and rightly so. Why would you get overly excited about what the Mets have been not hitting? They're not getting any length out of their starting pitchers. I mean, come on, man. This is embarrassing. Let's get to work here. All right. You lost to the Brewers. Brewers are the best team in baseball right now. So if you want to look at positive. We had a caller yesterday. Was it Reggie? Oh, you got to think positive. You got to find the silver lining. Okay. You lost to the best team in baseball. In which the Mets are not the best team in baseball right now. Well, now you're taking on one of the worst teams in baseball, albeit a team that has had your number. I get it. But let's start winning some baseball games here, man. And the other thing I wanted to get into quick, too, because I heard this was a narrative when I was away. Peter. I don't know if you guys got into it, that the Yankees struggles have obscured the Met struggles.
Alan Hahn
That was said a bit. Yeah, sure.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah. When a Yankee fan says that. Because you don't care about the Mets, believe me, the Mets are getting beat up by Met fans. Okay? Does it really matter what the rest of the media is saying? You all live in your own world, right? Mets Twitter follows Mets Twitter. So you really think the Mets are getting over because the Yankees are getting all the attention. Met Land is killing this team.
Alan Hahn
It's one of the great points he's ever made.
Peter Rosenberg
I was so aggravated because I didn't listen a ton when I was away, but when I was driving down the shore, when I was driving back from the shore and I tried to listen to when I could, just trying to get the vibe of stuff, and I heard that narrative, Boy, the Mets must be really lucky. The Yankees are struggling. Nobody's paying attention to the Met. I hate that narrative. Does anybody pay attention to the world right now? We all live in our own little bubble, though. You see what happens in politics. Republicans all live in the Republican bubble and believe that's the way it's supposed to be. And the Democrats are in the Democratic bubble. We don't play with each other. It's the same way in sports. Yankee fans are in Yankee land. Met fans are in Met land. WWE fans are in WWE land. They all live in their own little plastic bubble of what goes on, and nobody else is allowed in. We don't play with each other. We don't all end all in the crib together, bouncing and playing with the same ball. We're all in our own little crib in our own little world. And that's what social media is about. I follow Met people. I follow Met reporters. I follow other Met fans. I follow Met players. I. I live in Blue and Orange world and nothing else exists. And the same for Pinstripe World and Big Blue World and Gangrene World. So all of a sudden, the Mets should feel lucky. Not, they're going to get booed tonight. They're going to enter the field, they're going to be introduced at Citi Field, and the fans are going to boo them. Pete Alonzo going to jog the first base and go, boy, I'm glad the Yankees are struggling. Nobody's paying attention to us. There'll be 35,000 people booing the Mets tonight. So stop with the Yankee propaganda. We're so. We're so important. Nobody's paying attention to the Mets. The Mets are paying attention to the Mets.
Alan Hahn
It's a great take by them.
Peter Rosenberg
God, it's so annoying.
Alan Hahn
You're right. Why does it matter whether or not the Yankees get the back page of the paper or the Mets get the back page of the paper? The Mets fans are still just as dialed in on what's happening. Who cares? Who cares which one gets. The Yankees always get the bigger story. They're the Yankees. Right, but it changes.
Peter Rosenberg
But if you live in Yankee world, are you paying attention what's on the back page? You're paying attention to what you follow.
Alan Hahn
Why did Steve Brzezinski have to run to Twitter and say, yo, Damschefter, Rosenberg, radio wants you to tone it down with a ginormous tie.
Peter Rosenberg
You want me just at 4:22 on this random August Tuesday to get into the mind of Steve Brzezinski? I can if you want, but I'm not sure I'd make it out. And I love the guy, but listen, to try to understand his logic.
Alan Hahn
I mean, listen, I know I made a goof, and if he happens to hear it, okay, but that doesn't mean I need people going writing Adam Schefter, go, Peter Rosenberg, criticize your tie.
Don Hahn
I sent it to him.
Peter Rosenberg
What do you mean? You did say it.
Alan Hahn
I get it. But I understand that, and that's why, of course I'll own it. But there's who wants to be the person who goes, I heard someone say it, and now I'm sending it to you like you want to be. You want to go. What do you do? Well, from three to seven every day, I'm a tattletale.
Peter Rosenberg
I don't want to blow the whistle, blow up his spot. I don't think Steve likes you very much. From what I can gather, it seems that way. I don't think he hates you, but I'm not sure he's a big fan. And if this were to get to Schefter and get you in a little.
Alan Hahn
Trouble, he likes it.
Peter Rosenberg
I think that would make his day.
Alan Hahn
By the way, then I love seeing, like, me getting just ripped by Brian on Twitter. Hates me, says, can we get Alan back so Peter can go on more maternity leave?
Peter Rosenberg
Maternity leave?
Alan Hahn
Yeah, it's called paternity leave, but I think that was intentional. If I were to guess his bizarre.
Peter Rosenberg
Insult, you might be giving him a.
Alan Hahn
Little bit too much, by the way. You think it's less an insult, more moron. You're going strong, but it definitely is.
Peter Rosenberg
Not a smart that he. That you're. You're on maternity if you think your wife would have been on maternity.
Alan Hahn
Yeah. A man going on maternity leave, I think that qualifies as moron.
Peter Rosenberg
Right? Or he's really questioning your masculinity.
Alan Hahn
That right? Exactly.
Peter Rosenberg
Which would make him really smart and witty.
Alan Hahn
Well, that's what I'm saying. That's not right. I don't think it's that smart. Is it that smart, Don? You're giving a lot of you're handed out a lot of paternity leave. More like he sounds like Carlin.
Peter Rosenberg
I'm not comparing these people to Dennis Miller, okay? I'm just saying from a social media standpoint, that's pretty witty.
Alan Hahn
I mean, paternity? More like maternity because you're like a mother, Like a woman. Yeah, it's George Carlin in the flesh folks. This is an ad by BetterHelp. Thanks for listening to the Don Hahn and Rosenberg podcast. I didn't listen to anything you just said. Catch this show on demand whenever you want. Just subscribe to us wherever you get your podcasts. Sometimes you just can't take it anymore. This is let's Talk about It Tuesday with Don Hahn and Rosenberg, sponsored by BetterHelp.
Peter Rosenberg
That's right. Time now for let's Talk about It sponsored by Better Help. Mental health is health. So you want to get us started here? You seem hot to do it.
Alan Hahn
I got a couple things do it. A couple things on my mind. I got to talk about Don. Oh, I need this platform. Number one. I started the physical therapy today on the knee. All right. My limp is almost gone, although it actually just felt a little bit worse right now when I got up and started moving because I've been sitting for a long time. But I went to the physical therapy today. I didn't realize physical therapy is like, you're in a big room with tons of people and you're like, bumping into old people who are getting their knees and hips worked on. And like, I don't know what I pictured on. I didn't picture it being like it was. It was very. It did not feel luxurious. Okay, well, this was not a way to live this, like, crowded room of everyone seeing you. Like, everyone's watching me lay on a. Not that they care. No one's paying attention to what anyone's doing. You know what I mean? But it's still a little weird. You're like, laying on a table with a stranger touching your leg, and I just didn't know it was like this. Did you. Have you done it before?
Peter Rosenberg
No, it's like a crowded room.
Alan Hahn
At least the one I was doing. Maybe there's some luxurious way to do it, but not this way. It was just like a crowded room. That's very awkward. I was not into it. I'm not pleased with this. And, like, you know, the way this thing works. It seems like so many people are excited for you to be injured. There's so many people who can make a buck now. If we can now stretch this out. Right. Cause, like, who knows? Maybe I'll get the MRI and it'll look like I just need a few days of physical therapy. Two weeks. But, you know, they're gonna want to get me to do it for 10 weeks.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah. From an insurance perspective, they want to.
Alan Hahn
Get the insurance to pay for it. But I was not pleased by this. This was not what I expected at all.
Peter Rosenberg
But I don't think it was going to be anything luxurious. You gotta do it.
Alan Hahn
But you didn't know. I didn't know I'd be walking into a crowded room of strange. I didn't know that. I really didn't. I don't know what I expected. I didn't expect that.
Peter Rosenberg
But there's a lot of people getting physical therapy, and I guess there's so many places that you can go.
Alan Hahn
It looked like recess at the old age home. You know what I mean?
Peter Rosenberg
So would it be better if they were all young? You don't want to be in God's waiting room. You went down an elevator and you ended up in Florida.
Alan Hahn
That's what I'm saying. Let me put it this way, Don. Think about what you just said. Would it be better if they were all young? If everyone was in their, like, 20s, 30s, 40s, let's say, and people were there, like, in their workout clothes? Yeah. There could be some upside there.
Peter Rosenberg
I could see where you're okay.
Alan Hahn
So you know what I'm saying? Like, there was no. I'm saying everyone's in their 70s and 80s.
Peter Rosenberg
There was no eye candy today for poor people.
Alan Hahn
Eye candy. There was no eye snack.
Peter Rosenberg
It was just.
Alan Hahn
There wasn't a bag of Bugles. I mean, they're candy. There wasn't beef jerky.
Peter Rosenberg
Nothing.
Alan Hahn
Nothing.
Peter Rosenberg
I'm sorry for you. But you're feeling better. You're not limping.
Alan Hahn
It is. It is getting better. And I feel good about that now. One other thing I have. I'm facing a bit of dilemma next week when you're leaving me. Mm. I don't think Alan and I have said one word to each other since I left. Well, after he wrote me hurt by me leaving the group chat.
Peter Rosenberg
That was a little uncomfortable, which I.
Alan Hahn
Which I admitted last week when Anthony went back and read my text. I thought I sounded like a psychopath. But I did reach out to everybody immediately afterwards.
Peter Rosenberg
Right.
Alan Hahn
Which I think should clear the air.
Peter Rosenberg
No. Yeah. But it was awkward for a little while. I Kind of just sat there.
Alan Hahn
But like, literally five. I mean, how long? 15 minutes.
Peter Rosenberg
You want to be off the grid, but yet every five minutes you're posting something on social media. So how off the grid did you really want to be? It didn't sound like you wanted to be off the grid. You wanted to be off our grid. That's the way it came across originally.
Alan Hahn
But once I reached out and said, hey, I just want to explain. I just don't want to be a part of work conversations because it makes me feel like I'm not on vacation.
Peter Rosenberg
And then what happened? I guess the byproduct of what you did. I was taken off the group chat when I went away. I never asked for that. I was kind of longing to see what I was missing out on. Why did I get thrown in there?
Alan Hahn
No, we made a new group chat.
Don Hahn
Ty's not in it. You, Alan, Jacob and me. And John doesn't do anything for anybody.
Alan Hahn
Right.
Don Hahn
So it was Ty and Peter. Peter's not in it at all.
Peter Rosenberg
But I didn't. I just wanted to be included.
Don Hahn
I sent some things.
Peter Rosenberg
I'm just saying. I thought we have a group thread.
Alan Hahn
Yeah, but now. But you guys, now. I'm removed from that.
Peter Rosenberg
I know, but there shouldn't be any removing. They should only be adding. And then you remove. Like if ties.
Don Hahn
We can't add and remove because of you.
Alan Hahn
Because I left him.
Don Hahn
He's got an Android.
Alan Hahn
Oh, don't let them abuse you like that. It's not right because of you. And then he points in your face like that.
Peter Rosenberg
Right. I mean, it's.
Alan Hahn
It's really. It's. It's. I think as a country, I. I'd like to think we're in a better place.
Don Hahn
We're not.
Alan Hahn
It's a great boy.
Peter Rosenberg
No, but if Ty is filling in, or Dan or Jake, they get added and removed when they're no longer filling in. But they do. That core should always stay intact.
Alan Hahn
That was my mistake because I didn't know Anthony was planning on making a new group thread for when the show was gonna start that day.
Don Hahn
Don. He didn't wait an hour.
Alan Hahn
I didn't wait. I waited five minutes.
Don Hahn
Five minutes.
Peter Rosenberg
But the thing that. And Alan pointed it out. I don't think I'm telling tales out of school. Is. Is that. You know, as you're reading this, you're notifications are popping up of another. Another tweet from Peter about something. So it was just. You didn't want to be on our grid.
Alan Hahn
No.
Peter Rosenberg
No. You don't want to be off the grid. You want to be off our grid.
Alan Hahn
Well, and my other jobs. All right, I left my work.
Peter Rosenberg
A lot of jobs.
Alan Hahn
I left my work. Techs. I there. The I here's here was the problem to me, Don, if I'm on vacation, trying to feel like I'm just relaxing, I can still want to go on Twitter and see what's going on and say something. But I also don't want a back and forth about what's happening in the Yankee game because it's going to affect our conversation tomorrow for a show I'm not going to be on.
Peter Rosenberg
I understand that, but sometimes you gotta live with it, man. Good and the bad. Of the.
Alan Hahn
Of the why I have the option of leaving, but. But because of everyone's feelings.
Peter Rosenberg
No, but what. But then you leave.
Alan Hahn
There's gotta be a way for you to.
Peter Rosenberg
But not ask. Be taken off. No, I left the big irritation for me. And then this. This could be mine. I've got another one, but I'm gonna give you my talk about it Tuesday.
Alan Hahn
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
That. All right. You. Sometimes Anthony and Allen will get in a bit of a groove.
Alan Hahn
Oh, yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
Okay.
Alan Hahn
And you're. By the way, you say the least.
Peter Rosenberg
And so when I went to Ringo, I took the day off that day to go to Ringo star with the family.
Alan Hahn
Right?
Peter Rosenberg
And I'm heading to the city on the turnpike. It's inter. It's interrupting the music on the radio because I've got it on the Bluetooth and all I'm getting is Anthony P.
Don Hahn
Me and Alan separate now. We'll just talk on our own.
Peter Rosenberg
And in the first couple, you may be hit to listen it. Listen back to it. And it's Anthony saying something about the Yankees. And Alan can't let it go. And he's got a response.
Alan Hahn
Allen's like. Allen has like an ocd. He has to respond. A tweet, a text cannot hit the group without an Allen response.
Peter Rosenberg
And me, he's looking for a reason to respond. I'm the opposite. I'm looking for a reason not to.
Alan Hahn
Right, right. Unless it really requires you.
Peter Rosenberg
So the whole.
Don Hahn
He's learning now.
Peter Rosenberg
He's the whole ride to RA Radio City, he's easing his.
Alan Hahn
Which, by the way, Donna Force could at least do. Turn your alerts.
Peter Rosenberg
No, but that's what I did.
Alan Hahn
Okay, so eventually turn your alerts on.
Peter Rosenberg
So. No, what I. What I did was I. I put Nancy's phone on.
Alan Hahn
You connected Nancy to the Bluetooth.
Peter Rosenberg
All right, because. Yeah, it's not that. Because I don't know, maybe something important is happening. I was only gonna be off for that day, right? So I don't want to be completely disconnected, but you're interrupting the songs we're driving that nobody wants.
Alan Hahn
We gotta hear Ringo.
Don Hahn
Oh, this is a hard line to cut. Now I want to be in every group chat, but if you talk in it, that's when we're gonna have.
Peter Rosenberg
And this happens like early in the morning. Like I'll be driving the kids to school. Alan, Han and Alan's like, you know the New York Yankees last night, you know, they lost the game 3 to 2. It's just amazing to me that Stan can't play the out. And it goes on for like seven paragraphs. And I hit listen. So you're hearing the woman like on the Dawkin. And at one point, like Jalen or Marco be like, does he ever stop talking?
Don Hahn
That's why mine are three sentences now. You don't get what you get out of that. You're on your own.
Alan Hahn
So in some ways what you're saying is, while my tactic, while my style.
Peter Rosenberg
Was a bit abrasive, you're in the wrong.
Alan Hahn
No, no, hold on. Oh my God, I wasn't even talking to you.
Don Hahn
Oh, I'm sorry. He just tried to interrupt.
Alan Hahn
He just couldn't help himself.
Don Hahn
Wow, someone had to say it.
Alan Hahn
Well, no, no, hold on. I'm not in the wrong. What I was in the wrong for was the way I said it. Yeah, I just should have waited. I should have waited a couple hours and said, hey guys, enjoy your show today. Do me a favor, start a new group chat. I don't want to weigh in every day. I'm going on vacation. I've never done this in 20 friggin years. I'm out. I've got two shows and I have two people, Ebro and Alan, who if they're in a groove, will never shut the F up. I mean, the Ebro is like a Wikipedia page. Allen is like wiki sports. It just goes and goes and go. Did you hear what's happening with the Cincinnati backup quarterback situation? I don't know and I don't care, but I handled it like a lunatic because, because I react quickly and that's what I do. And I went, oh, I gotta, I gotta go. But Anthony read it back to me last week. I went, alright, I sound like a complete nutcase. But now. But in my defense, literally within a half hour, I texted every person individually and said, my bad, don't, please don't take it Personally, now Alan, who I'm learning because we're just learning, learning each other. I've Learned his top 5 most sensitive people in my life. I think there's a chance he is still stewing over this six weeks later.
Peter Rosenberg
I think it's very well you're going to find out. This will most likely come up next week.
Alan Hahn
Oh, he's going to completely. By the way, I don't even know if I'm ever going to be in the group chat again. I think he will have me permanently banned.
Peter Rosenberg
And you know what? Based on everything you said, I think you're good.
Alan Hahn
And by the way, the only thing I have to worry about now, Don, is that you're going to be jealous. You're going to go, why am I still here?
Peter Rosenberg
Why am I hearing it? But no, that was a good one. And that's why these. This is therapy.
Alan Hahn
But why, but why wasn't it enough? Hear me out on this. It wasn't enough. When I followed up and said, hey, sorry, I meant zero offense by it. That's not enough.
Peter Rosenberg
It should have been, but it wasn't. Not to everybody. Clearly not to Anthony.
Alan Hahn
No, Anthony told me he understood. I think Anthony's almost representing Allen's feelings because Anthony wrote me and said I was gonna make a new group chat. What's the point of being offended, though?
Don Hahn
What I said to you when we texted, literally what I said to you.
Alan Hahn
Was, here we go.
Don Hahn
I understand where you're coming from.
Alan Hahn
Yeah.
Don Hahn
At noon, when we all spoke, I probably would have been like, Peter's gonna be gone for a while. Probably a good idea to start a new group chat. I said, you just decided two hours earlier to do it on your own.
Alan Hahn
Right? That's it. But you understood where I was coming from.
Peter Rosenberg
But the sense of what I said.
Alan Hahn
The wrong approach, but the idea makes sense. Who wants to be in the south of France with their family and hearing about. And by the way, it aged so well. I mean, the Yankees and Mets, literally with the most boring, horrible month of all time. I needed to hear that. While I'm in nice with my 5 month old. Why would I want Don, I saw my baby in a pool for the first time.
Peter Rosenberg
You don't want that interrupted with, you know, a retweet from Nick Muse.
Alan Hahn
Tweet from at John Boy Media, Devin Williams blows game again. What do we do? I don't need that. And now I'm back to it. Look, and guess what? Nothing changed. I missed nothing.
Peter Rosenberg
That was good. We may.
Don Hahn
I got news for you. We may never have a group chat again. This is, this is.
Alan Hahn
I know this is going to be really, really upsetting because we're now going to never be able to do it. That is Talk about it. Let's talk about it Tuesday. Sponsored by BetterHelp. Visit betterhelp.com timeout today for 10% off your first month of therapy.

Alan Hahn
What's up, Pat?
Caller
Hey gentlemen. How are you?
Peter Rosenberg
Good, how are you?
Caller
I'm great. First off, love the show. Love all three of you guys. So this is, this is in jest or kidding on the square, if I may, but Michael used to joke that, Don, you were the 70% of the show. Since Alan has been on the show, he is the 70%. And if I, if I can, there was this great moment when you guys are interviewing the interns and I forget exactly what he had asked about. But somehow Alan stepped on this girl's response and talked over her the entire time. And the only experience I've had with your show is a July 4th, many years ago, when Bob was shoes and was hosting and Richard from Manhattan actually came on the phone and Bob was shoes and totally cut him off and just talked all over Richard. The only person who's ever actually stepped on Richard, so Alan Hahn, the new 70%.
Peter Rosenberg
Wow.
Alan Hahn
I mean, listen, he, I would say when Allen gets going on a toot, he's, he's, he's.
Caller
When the 70% there, when the. He doesn't give it 100, he gives 70%.
Alan Hahn
When the, when the train starts going, it's, it's, it's going to be tough to derail.
Peter Rosenberg
There's no question I'm going to defend out, because I've heard this before, but I don't think we mean in a negative way.
Caller
I love your show, Don. I can't, I can't stress enough. Also, you guys, I think, are great. I loved Alan before you guys, but it's just so funny that I'm going to defend it. It's just amazing.
Peter Rosenberg
And I'm going to, because I think that there's a reason behind it. All right? Because I don't, I don't necessarily notice it on television at all with Alan. But Allen's experience, I would say 100% of his experience at this radio station has been working with the former athletes. He did a show with Rick. Matter of fact, he's, he's one of the reasons why Rick is here. He brought in and he did shows with Rick and then he did shows with Bart Scott. So he's used to driving shows. He's used to kind of, I don't want to say carry shows because those guys do an excellent job, but they, they don't have the history of sports radio the way Allen does. So I think sometimes you have to take the reins. And so I think there's that perception that maybe he feels like he's got to fill a lot more than you do when you have a show with two other radio professionals, not former athletes. So you go from working with a former athlete that maybe you have a lot more radio experience than then jumping into a show where you're working now with an extra person. And the two people that you're working with. Both have a ton of radio experience.
Alan Hahn
Both. Yeah. But the most.
Peter Rosenberg
Right. So. So that. So I think that's why it comes across the way it comes across. But it's still all good. It's not. It's nothing. Because he's got great stuff to say. He's just not rattling on. It's good stuff.
Alan Hahn
Yeah. Listen. And by the way, also, shows take time to find their groove, you know, and then some yo yo. Once the groove starts getting picked up, some yo yo wants to go on vacation for a month.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, let's not forget also having your baby. And then Alan lost his sister early on.
Alan Hahn
A lot of stuff happened.
Peter Rosenberg
Even though we've been on since January 6, it got off to an even slower start because you disappeared. Then Alan disappeared. So there's like. And then we hit the summer, so it takes a little while. Hey, I did a show with Michael K for 22 years, so we had. We were in a groove that just, you know, can't be matched when you're working together so long. So I. I think it's gone long, swimmingly. Let's go to Juicy's on Route 17. You're on ESPN New York. What's up, Juicy?
Caller
Hey, Don. Listen. Really excited for the season. When I hang up. Talk about when you're talking. Think Luke's gonna get his contract? Peter, baby, you're getting all fired up, and I love it. And I want to go over a couple things. Group text fatigue is a real thing. And maybe you want to talk about it with your better help people. But here's the thing.
Alan Hahn
Thank you.
Caller
I. I probably have like seven or eight group chats, two of which pertain to work. But here's the thing. There's a couple group chats I'm in that I want to be a part of. I want the people to know that I'm there. But you know what I do? I go into the text message thing. I swipe the combo to left, and I turn the notifications. I like to do is I like to go back later in the day, just like Don said. He wants to know what's going on. Peter, here's the thing. You're a professional, many facets, and we love you for all of them. But you can't go around being so brash because it just doesn't come off the right way. When I go on vacation, I'm not like, yo, leave me out of the group chat. No, I silence them, then I review them when I'm laying around lounging. But all you got to do but hold that.
Alan Hahn
Hold on, hold on. Let me. Let me slow you down for a second. Slow. I have. My group chat lives on mute. It's all right. My group chats are already muted. It doesn't do anything. It still pops up when I go to my text messages as there's a chat that needs to be read.
Caller
So when you go and look at the bottom of your phone and you see 97, the little red number, 97. Does that bother you?
Alan Hahn
Yeah, I don't. I don't. I don't keep a number like that that fills up by my. My texts are all red.
Caller
But what if I told you that you could keep that little red number like that and not hurt feelings? Would that be something you'd be interested in?
Alan Hahn
It's not about that.
Peter Rosenberg
That.
Alan Hahn
It's that I read all my other text messages. So if I know that there's 27 unread text messages, I. Not only are they there, Juicy, they're popping up at the top of my chat. You can't make them not sit up there. They're going up.
Caller
You don't get the alert, per se, but it moves a text chat to the top of the Correct.
Alan Hahn
And I read other text messages. So every time I go to open my phone to talk to my mother or my in laws or my brother or whatever it is, I see that the chat is happening at the top of my phone.
Caller
I'm not ready to sit here right now, Peter, and say, you're a bad guy. I won't do it.
Alan Hahn
Thank you.
Caller
I would say going forward, maybe.
Alan Hahn
Hold on real quick, but, Juicy, these are people. This isn't some group chat at work with people I don't know very well. And I want to make sure I don't offend anyone. These are people. This. This is. I've been working with Don for 10 years.
Caller
He was a beautiful man.
Alan Hahn
He was. But he's at my. He was at my wedding. He knows what he means to me. Why does he care if I'm not in on the conversation about the Yankees from the night before? This was the first time I've ever taken. I have been working multiple jobs a day for a one month to try to fully be like, I'm not working. What does this feel like to not be working? Why. Why would I want to recap at the end of my day in France, I'M not even hearing English. I want to lay down and read. Why do I want to?
Peter Rosenberg
But why not? But why not just ignore it?
Alan Hahn
Well, that's my own thing. I'm not. I don't like seeing it pop up throughout the day, that it's sitting there at the top of my chair.
Peter Rosenberg
But if, you know, because my. My fear is, boy, Don's really disconnected on the show today. He hasn't responded to any of the messages. I hope you never think that. It's just sometimes I'm in the car and I just. I'm good. We're gonna have our meeting. We're gonna talk about all this stuff. Some of it I find value in. It's an article that Anthony will send or some kind of comment. It's not like I'm ignoring them, but I don't feel like I gotta respond every two seconds. You're on vacation. Nobody's gonna expect you to respond.
Alan Hahn
But to me. And again, I pointed this out. I said in my original crazy text message, I said, normal people could ignore this. I can't. I can't seeing it pop up throughout the day. Nobody here like Jacob, any. Any relating to this at all. Like, seeing it pop up throughout your day. Like, I look at it, keep in mind, France is six hours ahead, right? So starting at, like 5pm it starts picking up. The messages start picking up. And then again later at night, it's picking. Like, it just keeps jumping at the top of my phone. It's hard for me to ignore that.
Peter Rosenberg
It's. I don't think me seeing the messages would be annoying. It would be my phone vibrating. Like, I have my headphones in and it's reading the message to me even though I have it muted. That will probably be the more annoying thing. And I'd be like, you know what? All right, I think it's time for me to leave. So I kind of get you on that one. Visually, it doesn't bother me, though.
Alan Hahn
Yeah. So my thing is I don't. I don't ever have my phone on vibrate for anything. But, like, I will. Just seeing it bothers me. Listen, I just. Here's the main point. Why do I have to feel bad with people who I know and love and explain to them on the side individually? Love you guys. Please don't feel bad. I want to enjoy this. Well, I don't get it. Now I have Andrew on hold, wants to knock Peter down a peg. This is worth knocking me down a peg.
Peter Rosenberg
What, do you want to go to him?
Alan Hahn
I don't care.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, just to hear him vent a little bit. Andrew in New Jersey, what do you got?
Caller
I have many of the same points that Juicy had. I got to say, Peter, longtime fan, you do sound a bit of an entitled boomer. And. And I'm trying to figure out which is more offensive, the level of entitlement or the boomer ish ness. If this is what fatherhood has done to you. Five months in.
Peter Rosenberg
Boy.
Alan Hahn
What's the. What's the. What's the entitlement. What's the entitlement part, though? I don't get the entitlement that you.
Caller
You now have everybody in your group chat catering to your psychosis, as it were, in this particular case.
Alan Hahn
But how are they.
Caller
But how are they, Andrew?
Alan Hahn
How are they catering? What catering? I exited the chat. What's the catering? No, they didn't do anything different.
Caller
You know what? I did miss that part of it. I thought you had asked them to remove. To remove.
Alan Hahn
You know, I exited. They kept.
Peter Rosenberg
You did ask to be removed?
Alan Hahn
No, I said, hey, I'm going to be leaving now.
Peter Rosenberg
Yes.
Alan Hahn
And by the way, I did say it a little bit weird. I own that. I said it a little bit bluntly. But for the record, I didn't ask them to create anything new. I just exited and they continued on.
Caller
I missed that detail. My apologies. Nevertheless, since Juicy took all of my previous points I was gonna make. Who knew? Following juicy from Route 17. I just want to say the. The Mets funeral officially starts tonight. I am a fan, but there's just no way they're turning it around on the Braves of all teams. Like, it's over, folks. Let's just.
Alan Hahn
I respect it. Andrew. I respect you at least calling it. Just saying. You know what? Enough is enough. I'm not going to go up and down and play this game. I'm moving on. I respect it. Thanks for listening to my Don Hahn and Rosenberg podcast. I don't want to know how the sausage is made, but I just want to know.
Peter Rosenberg

The discussion is rich with candid insights, humor, and listener interactions, providing a comprehensive look into the hosts' perspectives on sports and personal life.
The conversation kicks off with a deep dive into the complexities of organizing a fantasy football league. Alan Hahn expresses frustration over limited invitations to join the league, highlighting a lack of inclusivity that alienates potential participants.
Alan Hahn [02:05]: "But not everybody's gonna say yes. And now you've alienated some people that might want to actually play. It doesn't sound very team friendly, does it?"
Peter Rosenberg adds to the discussion by reflecting on last year's league dynamics, where a member named Michael K opted out, forcing the group to reconsider their approach.
Peter Rosenberg [03:25]: "I was very disappointed in how last year ended where we just tapped out, where we could have very easily continued it and didn't, but now we can start fresh."
Building on the fantasy football theme, the hosts brainstorm the revival of "Drop Madness," a concept previously hindered by lack of participation. They discuss integrating new elements like punishments for league losers to enhance engagement.
Alan Hahn [04:02]: "But by the way, I think it's also time, respectfully, to take Drop Madness next year. Why not take it here?"
Peter Rosenberg [05:02]: "We'll take that over and let's come up with some really cool punishments."
The idea gains momentum as they consider expanding the concept across different show segments to maintain excitement and participation.
Listener interactions become a focal point as callers critique the hosts' styles, particularly Alan Hahn's dominant presence on the show. The hosts address concerns about interrupting conversations and the balance between assertiveness and inclusivity.
Caller [42:21]: "I think it just does not come off the right way... when you're on vacation, nobody's gonna expect you to respond."
Alan Hahn acknowledges his approach, discussing the challenges of managing group chats while trying to maintain personal boundaries.
Alan Hahn [49:01]: "Nothing changed. I missed nothing."
Peter Rosenberg defends the show's dynamic, emphasizing the need for each host to find their groove and the historical context of their broadcasting experiences.
Peter Rosenberg [44:47]: "I think that there's a reason behind it... when you have a show with two other radio professionals, it just comes across differently."
The hosts share personal stories, particularly Alan Hahn's experience with physical therapy and the ensuing awkwardness of being in group chat settings while on vacation. This segment humanizes the hosts, providing listeners with relatable content beyond sports discussions.
Alan Hahn [28:18]: "I started the physical therapy today on the knee... It was very. It did not feel luxurious."
Peter Rosenberg [31:08]: "It was just... You don't want to be in God's waiting room."
The discussion extends to managing notifications and the psychological impact of being constantly connected, highlighting the importance of mental health and boundary-setting.
Shifting back to sports, the hosts analyze the current standings and performance of teams like the Yankees and Mets. They debate strategies, player performances, and the implications for playoff races, offering expert insights grounded in their extensive sports knowledge.
Alan Hahn [16:27]: "Worry about yourself and play better."
Peter Rosenberg [17:40]: "The Mets are a better team than Cincinnati. If the Mets can't make the playoffs with the roster they have, they're in big time trouble."
