Don Hahn

Peter Rosenberg
But it's game time fellas.
Bucked Up Advertiser
It's Tony.
Peter Rosenberg
Met snowed out. We got the weather report from Denver. It's snowing in.
Alan Hahn
It's 80 degrees in New York.
Peter Rosenberg
Everything is normal.
Alan Hahn
This is normal.
Peter Rosenberg
So that leaves just the Yankees as the only local team in action as they begin a series against the Texas Rangers.
Alan Hahn
Your American League leading Yankees, sir. First place New York Yankees machine.
Peter Rosenberg
So Dan Grasso will be on coming up at 7 o' clock here on 880. He'll take you up until 9. Tullamore due the original triple still, triple blended and triple cast matured Irish whiskey. Be sure to grab a Tullamore Dew and try the new Tullamore Dew. Honey, during today's action glasses up to enjoying Tullamore Dew responsibly. You know, while the Knicks continue to win. I remember last year it was like let's check in on what the baseball teams are doing when the Knicks season ended. But still you got to give the Yankees their due. They just win every day. They swept the four game series from Baltimore and Baltimore supposed to be good. They spent some money, they went and got Pete Alonso and no competition whatsoever. They're just a machine and I just hope that the Yankee fans can have fun with this. I know they haven't won in a while. Now I heard Michael talking about this today that they're a very well run organization. Okay. And I know they haven't won A championship since 2009. But coming from a Met fan that sees all the ups and downs and really every team in this market, what every other team has gone through in this market and the Yankees just continue to go about their business and here's the other thing, too, that kind of makes the Yankees special is that, of course, Aaron Judge homered last night. Of course, Aaron Judge allowing Michael K to do this.
Ebro Darden
And the pitch high drive right center field, going back to Varus. It is high, it is far, it is God. Aaron Judge, a judgy in blast. Here comes the Judge.
Peter Rosenberg
And was there any doubt? I didn't get a chance to talk to Michael. I saw him a little bit today. He was in the studio, but we were just kind of catching up and I didn't get a chance to ask him about it. He had to know driving to the stadium, of course Judge is going to hold and I'm going to honor John Sterling's passing. Like, of course, because it's the Yankees and the only thing they haven't done is won a championship in going on 17 years. But it just, it just works out and they're just winning again. And you got the Volpe dilemma. What do you do with Volpe leaving the minor leagues? Doesn't matter. Caballero's doing the job. And even if he wasn't, they're still winning games, they're still scoring runs. They've that right now. Take a look at the odds, the top two odds to win. The Cy Young, both Yankees. So even the thing that they kind of struggled with in recent vintage of being able to develop pitchers. Do you realize, like, we talk so much about prospects, right? And then it's the guys that come out of nowhere. Happened with the, with the, the Mets and deGrom, right? It's Harvey, it's Wheeler, and all of a sudden it's DeGrom who ends up being better than all of them. Right? Schlittler comes up. You're the, you're the Yankee fan, Alan, correct me if I'm wrong. Did I hear. You know, here comes Cam. Do we hear conversations about, you know, eventually they call up Cam Schiller. He's going to be amazing.
Canty
No.
Peter Rosenberg
And he comes up and he's going to. He's got a chance to win the site.
Alan Hahn
His ascension was fast. It just clicked.
Peter Rosenberg
And give the Yankees credit, because you know why? Because they kind of cracked the code on him, right? And they've worked with him, and now he's developed a tremendous fastball. How many times did he hit? 100 yesterday? So I know we're, we're talking about the Knicks and everything that's going on there. And the Yankees, you know, the Yankees winning, big deal. But it is a big deal when they're doing it at the Clip. They're doing it. And I understand the American League's weak, but that's not their fault. And there's. And they're taking care of business.
Alan Hahn
The part that frustrates me is that with all the success they have at 24 and 11, second highest run differential in the, in the entire league is that Tampa just keeps winning too. And they're right on their tails. But like they should have, they have an eight game lead over everybody else. But Tampa is just as Dom would say on a toot. And they are right on their heels at 22 and 12.
Peter Rosenberg
Now just a quick update.
Alan Hahn
Crazy American League. Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
There are, count them.
Alan Hahn
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
One, two, three teams above. 500 out of the 15 teams in the league. The Yankees at 24 and 11. Tampa at 22 and 12. So that's bad luck for the Yankees. They're in the same division. So despite being 24 and 11, still you're still above 5. You got a few teams, Tigers, Indians that are exactly at.500. But the athletics at 18 and 16. The only other teams that are above.500 the entire league. But again, that's not the Yankees fault. But the Yankees still. And I've been told this a million times, no matter sport, you want to look at how good a team is, take a look. Goal differential, run differential, point differential. The Rays are one back in the loss column with a plus 11 run differential. The Yankees are plus 76.
Alan Hahn
The only other team with a higher run differential is the Braves plus 80. Even the Dodgers are just plus 68. Just.
Ebro Darden
But isn't it crazy how many seasons baseball has like now it feels like the Yankees have been dominating like this the entire season and they've been really good. But it hasn't been the entire. Since Ope day one. This is where they are, right?
Peter Rosenberg
They had for the most part they
Alan Hahn
had a little bit of a slump. Like the, it was the, the. What was it? They played the A's.
Peter Rosenberg
They split the four game series against the Angels. They, they lost a series to the A's.
Alan Hahn
Right?
Peter Rosenberg
And I think they lost a series to the Tigers. I'm not mistaken, right, Anthony? Because those were the teams that they had a losing record against. They were all. They had a little bit of a slump above.500.
Alan Hahn
They couldn't score and then they couldn't score.
Ebro Darden
The judge wasn't great for a moment.
Jacob
It was the Raisin A's. They struggled and it was ironic that you mentioned them earlier in the week and now that Those are the teams. 500 are close to it it was
Peter Rosenberg
last week, last Tuesday. It was a week ago when we were over at Stout and I said that at the time there were just three teams. And now, you know, it's three teams now again that are above.500.
Jacob
The staff is nasty. This staff is unbelievable.
Alan Hahn
And Schlitler is like, he's the goods man.
Peter Rosenberg
And then Cole coming back. It is interesting. Like they can't get better when Cole and Rendon come back because the guys that they're going to replace are still winning games anyway. Like, because again, they're almost a.700 winning percentage.686. And what did Judge have? 14 home runs. You know, Rice got hurt, but he's
Alan Hahn
more home runs than some teams do. How about this? Schlitler, five and two, third, right? Seven hits, earn run. Four. Four strikeouts, three walks. He and Garrett Cole, the only Yankee pitchers since the er, earn run became official in 1913. 50 strikeouts, eight or fewer earned runs through the first eight games of a season. 50 strikeouts at eight earned runs and eight starts. Yeah, and it's only him and Cole since 1913. Him and Cole, to start a season this strong. And Cole hasn't even. Like you just said, he hasn't even jumped in this thing yet.
Peter Rosenberg
It's. And only four teams in the American League with a positive run differential. Coming in fourth, the Mariners at plus three, they're under.500. Coming in third. The Rays at plus 11. In second, the Tigers a plus.17. And at first, the Yankees a plus 76.
Alan Hahn
Which means the Oakland, Oakland, Vegas, whatever. A's who are the third of the three teams over.500, have a minus run differential.
Peter Rosenberg
Minus 10.
Alan Hahn
That's wild.
Peter Rosenberg
But it's been, it's been crazy. But I was just thinking that like, because I, I, when I was driving home, I was, you know, consuming all the Knicks pregame and everything and I was flipping around. I missed the Judge home run. When I caught up with it later on and I saw it and I was like, of course, of course it worked out. Judge hit the home run. K honors him in tremendous fashion. And there were a few honors around the league, including our very own Keith Rad.
Ebro Darden
That's right.
Peter Rosenberg
On 1050 last night when the Mets beat the Rockies.
Jacob
Devin Williams come set, first base side of the rubber. He'll try again. 02.
Ebro Darden
His pitch.
Peter Rosenberg
Swing and a miss. Ball game over Mets win the well done win.
Alan Hahn
Respect. That was for you, John Sterling.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, I think Wayne Randazzo had one in Anaheim. There was a couple of them around Major League Baseball. So Rick Riz had one as well. The point is is that you know, hall of Fame, it's interesting a guy passes away and like everybody around the league is honoring you because everybody knows who he is and how great he was. But good job by the Yankees. I know it's early, it's only May and I know they haven't won a championship yet and all that but you know what? You're having one hell of a season. Mets trying to turn it around. They did win back to back games and I will say this, the one like concern. There's many concerns. Devin Williams, four straight really good appearances. Retired the side in order against Colorado, the side in order in Anaheim, his last two saves. So it's turning the Titanic around. A cul de sac. I get it. But at least starting to gain a little track still nine games under.500. That's why I think they've buried themselves. But they're not the worst team in baseball but they've dug themselves a hole. It's going to take a lot to get out of but just trying to get something going on. So while you're watching the Knicks, that's what's happening on the baseball front. What you have to look forward to once the Knicks in the basketball season is over. One other note before we get Back to the calls. 1-800-919-3776 Anthony's going to be engaged tonight. You know why? He's got his Yankees playing but he's going to be keeping an eye on ESPN at 7 o'.
Ebro Darden
Clock.
Peter Rosenberg
What was that draft lottery in the NHL like you dream about? And the Rangers have what, the third best odds? Anthony? Third best odds to possibly.
Jacob
Yep.
Peter Rosenberg
Win the draft lottery for the first time since 2020 when they got Alexei Lafreniere.
Jacob
I was working the case show filling
Peter Rosenberg
in on that day because it was during the day. It was again. Covid. Everything happened.
Jacob
We were at war.
Peter Rosenberg
We couldn't do things when the sun
Alan Hahn
was down and now more contagious at
Ebro Darden
night apparently we basically were at war.
Jacob
They got the consensus. They got the consensus number one pick that year.
Alan Hahn
How'd that work out?
Jacob
Well, they proceeded to not develop him the way they should and now he's
Peter Rosenberg
not as now he's going to go on a toot.
Bucked Up Advertiser
That's all I had.
Jacob
That's it.
Alan Hahn
He's going to let it out. It's talk about it.
Ebro Darden
He's still there.
Peter Rosenberg
He's still there.
Alan Hahn
So he can still become.
Jacob
I like. I think, I think it's unfortunate that they waited so long to give him power play one minutes in top six, man.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, my God.
Alan Hahn
Yeah. It's all right. Gavin McKenna is going to be the savior. You'll see.
Peter Rosenberg
That seems to be the. The feeling. But I. I got to tell you this, that I. You know who I heard from? I didn't even bring this up on the show.
Ebro Darden
Oh, okay.
Peter Rosenberg
I heard from Gigi Clark. Whoa. She texted me the other day.
Ebro Darden
See, in relation to what?
Peter Rosenberg
Like, about a decade ago. She's like, I'm never gonna have kids. I'm like, you're gonna have a kid. I said. I said, by the time you're 36, you'll have a kid. If not, I'll give you. I'll give you 5,000. Well, she just turned 36, and she's looking to collect you.
Ebro Darden
Oh, I thought it was gonna be she's having a kid. No.
Alan Hahn
That's awesome. No, I'm not gonna love the fact that she remembers.
Peter Rosenberg
I'm not gonna give way details, actually. I was five. She remembers it as one, and I'm not gonna correct her, but. So I asked her because she's living out in Anaheim now. So I asked, you know, are you happy to see Kreider doing well with the Ducks? And she responded. I said, are you rooting for Crider? She says, with all my heart. Went to one Duck game this year and he scored in overtime. Like, she's rooting for Crider with all of her heart.
Jacob
Anthony, GG Is a good person. Nobody has ever mistaken me for a good person.
Ebro Darden
So that's great. Take.
Jacob
What do you. What do you want me to do?
Ebro Darden
He's not interested.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, at least he's acknowledging he's a bad guy.
Alan Hahn
He knows it.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, he knows the answer.
Jacob
I've never denied it, so deep down, it's on you. If you thought anything else.
Alan Hahn
What do you want from this lottery? Like, are you.
Jacob
I think anything in the top five is good.
Alan Hahn
So. Top five?
Jacob
I do. And I think Gavin McKenna is the consensus number one. He didn't have the Macklin Celebrini, Connor McDavid, Sidney Crosby, like year in Penn State, but when he was playing against kids in juniors, he was amazed and
Peter Rosenberg
he broke out that two piece.
Ebro Darden
We see that too.
Alan Hahn
Let's not forget that he does have a little tough.
Jacob
Tanner Glass is now the director of player development for the Rangers after Jed Orchard. Biscuit is what you said has gone on to pursue other opportunities.
Peter Rosenberg
So we'll see how that given that opportunity by the organization.
Jacob
By the organization and I believe the entirety of the Hartford coaching staff has been fired.
Alan Hahn
So there's a lot.
Jacob
There's a lot that needs to. When they do whoever it is that they draft, whether it be Airhoff or Melholtra, and that's a name that Alan and Don will be very familiar with.
Alan Hahn
That's his son.
Ebro Darden
Is it really a minute?
Jacob
Yes.
Peter Rosenberg
You know who his mom is?
Jacob
I do.
Peter Rosenberg
Is Steve Nash's sister.
Ebro Darden
Oh, wow.
Alan Hahn
Really?
Peter Rosenberg
Steve Nash's sister, Imani Malhotra had a child and the child is going to be in the NHL draft.
Alan Hahn
I think that's stunning. It's a good athlete.
Peter Rosenberg
Of course you want to win.
Jacob
You want to win again. But if you end up with either McKenna Malholtra or Airhoff, if you're the Rangers, I think you now the Devils
Peter Rosenberg
and Islanders are in this thing, but their chances are nil, you know, slim.
Jacob
What were the chances when it was Jack? I don't think they had the best.
Alan Hahn
No, they did not have good.
Jacob
So the teams in this area do a very good job when they don't have the best odds of winning the slot.
Peter Rosenberg
In recent. Since 19, right? I guess. Well, no, not 19. Since 17. So within the last 10 years, the Devils have had two first overall picks and the Rangers have had the first overall pick and the second overall pick because in 19, Devils drafted Jack first overall.
Alan Hahn
Right.
Peter Rosenberg
And then a Cocko went to the Rangers at 2.
Alan Hahn
Right.
Peter Rosenberg
And then the Islanders had the first overall pick last year. So in the last decade the locals have done very well in the draft lot.
Alan Hahn
Who was he then? He sure. Who was the other member? He sure was the first one. Right? Yeah. So it has been a good run. But has it worked out for all
Peter Rosenberg
of them still with their respective teams
Alan Hahn
except for Kako, but all the number ones.
Peter Rosenberg
But Will Borgen, you were able to get him and extended him.
Bucked Up Advertiser
I like Will.
Jacob
I like Will.
Alan Hahn
It's all coming together.
Peter Rosenberg
It's all coming together. So hey, this is what happens when all three locals don't make the playoffs. We got the draft lottery ESPN tonight at 7 o'. Clock. 1-800-919-3776. Let's get back to the busy phones and talk to Billy in the truck. You're on ESPN New York. What's up, Billy?
Alan Hahn
Hey, guys, how you doing?
Peter Rosenberg
What's up? Real quick, real quick on the Knicks, everybody's better than Jalen Brunson until it's
Alan Hahn
time to be better than Jalen. That's the line.
Peter Rosenberg
Don, you're. You got any plans to do a sterling list? Well, here's the rub. Calls or it makes sense for that. It makes sense. This is what I need to ask my fraternity of brothers here and the. And the listeners as well. It makes sense.
Ebro Darden
You could have a top 50.
Peter Rosenberg
You could have. You could have a list of lists for him. There's plenty. Listen, there's plenty of stuff to go around.
Alan Hahn
All right?
Peter Rosenberg
But here's my two dilemmas, Billy. And thank you for the phone call. The obvious one is his top five calls. I could do that easy. It's not going to hit the same if I can't play the cuts.
Ebro Darden
When we brought that up yesterday, I was troubling.
Peter Rosenberg
The other one is the top five Michael K stories. Four of them aren't going to be able to make the air.
Ebro Darden
That's right. Or you'd be lying.
Peter Rosenberg
And if we listen, they're not. They're not bad store. But we're Disney, okay? And we. And we also are rallying cries. You know, let's be good. So it makes it difficult to really give the top five stories and do them justice. So where do I go? How do I honor Sterling top five list?
Alan Hahn
And you make the call now you imitate it.
Peter Rosenberg
Our pinhead suit, John Winthrop is in the control room ignoring me. We can ask him if I credit the fan. Can I play the Sterling Cuts? If that's all it takes, I think it's worth it. Because if I'm going to play the top five John Sterling calls, it's not going to be. It's not going to sound great if I can't play the call.
Jacob
I got a lukewarm yes from John. So that's.
Ebro Darden
I don't like.
Peter Rosenberg
They're old.
Ebro Darden
It's not like you're taking a call from yesterday. We're talking about old historical documents crediting the place that did it and playing them.
Peter Rosenberg
But I just need the permission. And I can just see by the look on his face, it's a tentative yes.
Alan Hahn
We're gonna look into it.
Jacob
How about that? How's that sound?
Alan Hahn
Some others didn't get a lukewarm yes. At least you got that.
Peter Rosenberg
But John. John, actually Anthony told me that he got a lukewarm yes, but just the facial expression came off as lukewarm.
Ebro Darden
Who? John's. Yeah. Well, he's thinking it through.
Peter Rosenberg
No, and I appreciate that.
Ebro Darden
Cause it's.
Peter Rosenberg
It would. It would just make life easier for him to just say no and move on. But to truly honor John Sterling, which I should on a Wednesday, doing the top five, I could do it. And everybody knows the calls, but you gotta hear them. No. And I'm just asking from a legal standpoint, are we allowed to. If we just give credit, I think
Jacob
we're gonna effort asking. How's that sound?
Peter Rosenberg
You know what? Give me a phone number. I'll call.
Ebro Darden
Wow.
Peter Rosenberg
I'll call the powers of the pod.
Jacob
I'm pretty sure you know the number.
Peter Rosenberg
I've got the half of those guys weddings done.
Alan Hahn
Don's in control now.
Ebro Darden
Control.
Peter Rosenberg
But don't you.
Alan Hahn
Right, Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
I mean, I get.
Alan Hahn
That's when you call and you go, what are we doing here?
Peter Rosenberg
You want to hear the calls?
Alan Hahn
What are we doing here?
Ebro Darden
You can't do it and not do it right. You got to do it right.
Peter Rosenberg
If you're going to do it, you
Ebro Darden
got to do it. And what do I do it?
Alan Hahn
That's profound.
Peter Rosenberg
And outside of the stories, which are tremendous, what top five would do John Sterling justice other than those two things?
Alan Hahn
Yeah, it's got to be the calls.
Ebro Darden
I mean, based on Michael's stories, there'd be a lot of things that John's
Alan Hahn
interested in him describing. Getting hit by a foul ball, that's got to be in the top.
Peter Rosenberg
I don't know.
Ebro Darden
I don't know if that makes it.
Alan Hahn
Oh, come on.
Peter Rosenberg
What are you taking out? What have you heard these stories?
Alan Hahn
Him descript. No, no, they're not stories. They're calls.
Ebro Darden
He means they're calls.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, but no, no, no, no. I can't have one of his top five calls being hit by the foul ball. It was hysterical. The guy was calling home runs in a while.
Alan Hahn
He said, I'm okay.
Bucked Up Advertiser
It's great.
Ebro Darden
I mean, but. But at the same time, think about the.
Peter Rosenberg
The.
Ebro Darden
You're talking about such historic moments that he's called though, Right?
Alan Hahn
But isn't that part of the charm of him though, having a moment like that?
Ebro Darden
What's the most. Here's a good question for you.
Alan Hahn
It's memorable.
Ebro Darden
What's the most famous shared call? Michael and Sterling. And I don't mean together, I mean where they both have a memorable call. The radio call was big and the TV call was big of the same.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, you'd have to go and obviously Jeters game winning, the Orioles in his last at bat, both of them called that.
Ebro Darden
You mean together?
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, because Michael was on tv.
Ebro Darden
No, no, but I mean, judges. But I mean. But I mean separate calls. Meaning, for example, like Mr. November.
Peter Rosenberg
Right?
Ebro Darden
That was Michael's call.
Peter Rosenberg
Yes.
Ebro Darden
I don't know what Sterling's call was. Was it memorable?
Peter Rosenberg
But why would Sterling have a call if Michael was making It. That was on that. That was on radio.
Ebro Darden
They were still together on radio then.
Peter Rosenberg
They were still together on radio.
Ebro Darden
God.
Peter Rosenberg
That's what I'm saying. Jeter's last hit. Michael did it for. Yes. John did it for radio.
Ebro Darden
Okay, got it.
Peter Rosenberg
So then you'd have. That's what I'm saying. So that would be good.
Ebro Darden
What about.
Peter Rosenberg
Let's come up with. Let's give up with.
Alan Hahn
What do you say?
Peter Rosenberg
Top five calls after Michael left. And we'll just play Michael's version.
Ebro Darden
That's it. And here's what Michael and from what we learned. From what we learned, if Sterling didn't even make the call, he might go. You know, if you'd want me to make the call myself.
Alan Hahn
We do know that.
Ebro Darden
Record it and send it to you.
Alan Hahn
How great is that?
Peter Rosenberg
That is tremendous.
Alan Hahn
I still love that.
Ebro Darden
Yeah. That was a great story again. And Michael was telling me that he was, you know, as you pointed out, he was thinking about on his way to the stadium, how to honor John. And really, there weren't a lot of options where he could have used a player's name that John had a nickname for.
Peter Rosenberg
Just Stanton. Right. Stands out. Yeah. I'm just trying to think. Guys that were on. So anybody on the 24th World Series team? Right. So you look at this. I got to take.
Ebro Darden
No, I don't. I don't think there's any. And it was super unfortunate to think that he didn't get to call a Ben Rice thing because that would have been so easy for him. Oh, I mean, Ben Rice. It's a shame that John never had Ben Rice. But look at last night. Just look at the line, the starting lineup last night. And I don't think. You'll see. I don't think there's anyone besides.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, because Volpe's not there. That's a good point.
Ebro Darden
So. So Michael. The way he described it to me was.
Alan Hahn
Wells.
Ebro Darden
The way Michael described it to me was that it felt like John produced last night. Because it had to be. No.
Alan Hahn
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
It had to be a judgy and.
Alan Hahn
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Which, by the way, I looked that up. Confirm. Not a word. Not a word. No, I mean a judgy and blast. That's just straight Sterling ease. Sterlingian created a word because judgy. I mean, it's perfect. But what is it? We don't know.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, Wells had at bats in 23 and 24, so Sterling might have called Austin Wells. I don't know what his call was for Wells. Maybe Anthony remembers going back to the well Hell's Wells. Both great options. Really.
Ebro Darden
We know the man.
Peter Rosenberg
Both could be true.
Alan Hahn
When you grow up with somebody's voice.
Peter Rosenberg
Anthony right now is engaged in conversation. I cannot hear what they're saying to each other.
Jacob
Well, it's over time so I figured you should be in break anyway.
Peter Rosenberg
But it, that's not the point. The point is, is that you're fully engaged where we're actually talking about. I even said, Anthony, do you remember in Nothing I got nothing from.
Ebro Darden
No, because he's talking to the boss man now.
Peter Rosenberg
He can't do anything for you.
Jacob
I disagree.

Thanks for listening to the Don Hahn and Rosenberg podcast.
Ebro Darden

Ebro Darden
Ah, ah. Talk About It Tuesday, ladies and gentlemen, on this. What day is today?
Alan Hahn
Tuesday.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, it's a good one.
Peter Rosenberg
Tuesday.
Alan Hahn
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
4:30 Tuesday. Ah, Cinco de Mayo. The 5th of February.
Peter Rosenberg
That's right.
Alan Hahn
Yes.
Ebro Darden
Special day here. Happy Cinco de Mayo to Those who celebrate now, Taco Tuesday. I would. It's perfect for a Taco Tuesday. And I personally would love to celebrate today because I love celebrating anything Mexican, because I love, love, love Mexican food. I believe Mexican food to be. If I'm for. If I was forced at gunpoint, which is an unfortunate situation to picture.
Alan Hahn
You don't want to be in that.
Ebro Darden
My favorite food, my favorite kind of cuisine. It's very. There's a very good chance it's Mexican. It's right there.
Alan Hahn
It's all right, what's the runner up? What's the battle?
Ebro Darden
No, the battle. The front runners here are Mexican, Italian. Oh, yeah, Chinese.
Alan Hahn
Okay.
Ebro Darden
And when I say that, I mean, you know, our version of Chinese American.
Alan Hahn
Sure. Whatever that is.
Ebro Darden
And I don't know, being with my wife the last several years, there's a chance Middle Eastern food has crept into the conversation just because it's now become like a home food for me. But I think the winner is Mexican man. I think up and down everything on the menu. Granted, they're all. Most everything is sort of a version
Alan Hahn
of stuff, just packaged differently.
Ebro Darden
But they're all awesome.
Alan Hahn
Yes.
Ebro Darden
And then on top of that, now you want to go to the drink part. Well, guess what? I'm the Marg man. Okay? Give me the Marg. I am a margarita guy. Spicy margs all day long. Salt rim.
Alan Hahn
What?
Peter Rosenberg
Never had a margarita.
Alan Hahn
All right, now we know. Are you Don Beach Bash Don, I
Ebro Darden
put you on to old fashions. Changed your life.
Peter Rosenberg
It really did.
Ebro Darden
You said one of the most important things that's ever happened in your adjustment
Alan Hahn
in the summer with the boxer brief. Yes.
Ebro Darden
And those are the most important, life changing moments in Don's adulthood.
Alan Hahn
So now as we turn to summer, in warm weather, so. So we're gonna tasty, refreshing margarita.
Ebro Darden
Because the mark, here's the thing that the Marg has. What do you got that the Old Fashioned doesn't have? The Old Fashioned is like steakhouse, cold night, you and a friend just having a quiet drink at a bar. What the Marg has is outside, warm weather, good vibes, really upbeat, light beverage. Oh, it's the best. And spicy. You're mixing the spicy and you cut it with the salt.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, what is the main vodka in a margarita?
Ebro Darden
It's called not vodka. It's called tequila.
Peter Rosenberg
Tequila.
Ebro Darden
Now, have you ever been a tequila man?
Peter Rosenberg
No. See, that's the thing. The reason I got turned on to the Old Fashioned is that I did partake in bourbon here and there.
Ebro Darden
Now, have you ever taken part in any Sort of tequila, not a shot maybe.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, let's do tequila shots. All right.
Ebro Darden
No, but if you have. If I'm gonna tell you right now too. The other adult thing that I only figured out the last few years because I'm a colossalis heathen. You know, I think a few years ago for my birthday, Ebro bought me a bottle of 1942. Oh, you get yourself a proper tequila like that. The smoothness is so luxurious. And now listen, there are some people straight up allergic to tequila. Makes them wild animals. But for those people who aren't like that, it's smooth. It doesn't make you. It's just a great. Anyways, I say all of this to say I can't participate in Cinco de Mayo.
Peter Rosenberg
Why? Because it's Tuesday?
Ebro Darden
Because for the 19th time this winter.
Alan Hahn
Can you hear it?
Ebro Darden
I can't escape this thing. I gotta talk about it. Am I the. I'm asking this rhetorically. Cause I know the answer is no. Am I the only one out there who just keeps getting hit over and over and over? People are. Oh, maybe it's allergies. I really don't believe it is because my daughter's getting it too. I don't think we're. We both. I don't think I developed allergies. And she's. I don't think that. I think we're both getting sick.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, did you try a Claritin or something? Just to see if I took.
Ebro Darden
I took an Allegra today.
Alan Hahn
Okay.
Ebro Darden
So far, not much difference. I've tried overi did Sudafed the other day. Not much difference.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, I was going through the same thing and it was just that. I just think I got a sinus infection and just couldn't shake it. I don't think yours. I don't think it ever went away. I think you've just had the same sinus infection for a month.
Ebro Darden
But when you have an infection and this is gonna get a little bit colorful, isn't like they're like mucus. That's gross looking and greenish. I don't have that.
Peter Rosenberg
It's clear.
Ebro Darden
Clear. I'm just stuffed up and can't get it all out.
Peter Rosenberg
I think it's allergies. I just think you need to find the right allergen.
Jacob
Try Zyrtec.
Ebro Darden
Are you a Zyrtec guy?
Jacob
For years.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, I like Zyrtec too.
Ebro Darden
Really? How common is the Zyrtec?
Jacob
I used to get it when it was prescription. Now it's over the counter.
Ebro Darden
Now it's over the counter. So I can just walk.
Peter Rosenberg
You might be locked up at cvs.
Jacob
Yeah, you got to talk that, you
Ebro Darden
know, so is the dental floss.
Peter Rosenberg
But, I mean, it is crazy what
Jacob
they lock up and it doesn't make you drowsy anymore, so that's helpful. You could take it in the morning.
Ebro Darden
I just. I want to give a shout out to everyone out there who's been going through this too, because I do have another theory that, like, it's also just a post Covid thing, that different new illnesses have come along. Like, new strains of things have happened, probably. And everyone's like, I'm sure the year
Peter Rosenberg
and a half we spent inside was not good for our immune system.
Ebro Darden
Yeah, I would imagine you're right about
Peter Rosenberg
that because we didn't expose ourselves to anything for, you know, 18 months. And now.
Ebro Darden
And now I'm getting hammered in ways I don't ever. And. And Alan, before you ask, I'm taking the zinc, I'm taking the c. I'm
Alan Hahn
just too late now.
Ebro Darden
So you.
Peter Rosenberg
So if you were to have a marg, as you put it.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Alan Hahn
You wouldn't be able to enjoy it?
Peter Rosenberg
You wouldn't be able.
Ebro Darden
No, it's. It's. I don't. Just because I. I'm not a raging alcoholic. So as a result, when I get sick, I just try not to drink. I think for most people out there, I'm not trying to, like, tell you how to live your life. I think smoking weed and drinking when you feel sick is a bad idea. I just don't think it's getting better with smoking in particular.
Peter Rosenberg
One margarita on Cinco de Mayo.
Ebro Darden
No, no, you're 100% correct.
Alan Hahn
You can have one.
Ebro Darden
I could have one.
Alan Hahn
But you don't enjoy nearly as much because, again, the aromatic of it.
Ebro Darden
The aromatic.
Alan Hahn
There is something about.
Peter Rosenberg
Now you got me excited. Is there any way that we can do this before the show tomorrow at Stout? Do they make a margarita?
Ebro Darden
They probably do. Well, two things. One, not before the show because John won't like that. We've had.
Alan Hahn
We can get permission. I got a permission slip the other day.
Ebro Darden
What, for one year. It's for. Oh, for having one beverage.
Peter Rosenberg
It was. It was because we met earlier for lunch.
Alan Hahn
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
Which we should try to do tomorrow.
Ebro Darden
I will. I will keep this in mind now.
Peter Rosenberg
And we had a Stella like gentlemen, right?
Rich Eisen
Sure.
Alan Hahn
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
So could we do one a margarita, like 130.
Alan Hahn
I say we do it now.
Ebro Darden
Here's the question, though. I don't know how Stout is about the marg. I don't I? I have to admit, respectfully. And Stout does a hell of a job. And I'm sure they'll have a bartender that says, oh, yeah, I do a margarita. I really find, Alan, there's a difference between a margarita at any bar and a like a bar that, like, we do margaritas here. Like, this is kind of what we do.
Peter Rosenberg
And you want my first one to be. I want it to hit genuine as possible.
Alan Hahn
You want it like a tiki bar kind of place.
Ebro Darden
Now, Jake, Anthony makes a great point in my ear, and Stout always comps the check, which does make it an appealing margarita. So am I not supposed to say that?
Peter Rosenberg
No, I don't think so.
Ebro Darden
Well, that's what they.
Peter Rosenberg
We could save it.
Jacob
What I said was they do a fantastic job and always take care of it.
Ebro Darden
Well, the insult here isn't to Stout, it's to me for being cheap. He's saying, why would Peter Rosenberg go somewhere and pick up the tab when he might have a chance of going somewhere else where someone else picks up the tab?
Alan Hahn
But I'm not.
Peter Rosenberg
I'm not dying over here. We can wait till the beach bash because then that'll be perfect. Right?
Ebro Darden
Well, I just want you to make sure and I. You know what, it's worth me trying Stout's Margs to see how they do Jacob's pickles. They have a spicy brine margarita that is one of my favorites in the world. It's like a pickle based, but I will say it's an acquired like. Do you like the spicy?
Alan Hahn
No.
Ebro Darden
Oh, see, you like a straight mark Straight. What about like a one with a fruit flavor? You into a mango marg? Anything like that?
Peter Rosenberg
Or not.
Alan Hahn
That's Stephanie.
Ebro Darden
You want us. You want a straight up?
Peter Rosenberg
Well, you wouldn't have an apple martini.
Ebro Darden
No, an appletini?
Peter Rosenberg
I've never done in my life.
Ebro Darden
By the way. I think I'll add this to my talk about it. I have a word for people who like martinis as their drink of choice.
Peter Rosenberg
Okay.
Ebro Darden
The word, the nickname I have is raging alcoholic.
Alan Hahn
Okay.
Ebro Darden
It's literally like drinking gasoline straight vodka to the face. And oh, how do you make it better? I pour in olive juice. Sure. What are you, a maniac?
Peter Rosenberg
Well, no, you're drunk. Yeah. You're a full down drunk.
Ebro Darden
You're a. I know a lot of people love you.
Alan Hahn
You're Dean Martin now you're Don Draper, who does this? No, Don Draper is bourbon.
Ebro Darden
No, he was all.
Peter Rosenberg
He's both.
Alan Hahn
He.
Peter Rosenberg
He's both.
Ebro Darden
He does bourbon in his Office quite a bit.
Alan Hahn
Well, the martinis were at the. But the martini, that was a 50s dinner party thing. Oh, everybody did that.
Peter Rosenberg
Dude.
Ebro Darden
There was an episode I watched, but
Alan Hahn
Draper was straight, like right after work.
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, yeah.
Ebro Darden
Hitting straight to the bourbon. Yeah, I was watching an episode where. And Don, how have you still not watched Mad Men, for God's sake?
Alan Hahn
Never.
Ebro Darden
He's never seen it.
Alan Hahn
If I could go back in time, that's where I would go.
Ebro Darden
Oh, we know you do quite well. It would be your era.
Alan Hahn
My God.
Ebro Darden
So Draper and Roger go to this dinner one night and they are pounding, pounding martinis, extra dirty martinis while chain smoking cigarettes. And I'm just like, if this night was. I'm vomiting at 9:30. How are you guys doing this?
Alan Hahn
They are.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, first of all, they're different constitution.
Ebro Darden
Oh, no, it's different. They.
Alan Hahn
They built up to that from high school when they were just, you know, just a little bit of smoke and, and.
Ebro Darden
And one.
Alan Hahn
A couple of bar and some beer. Like they didn't really have.
Ebro Darden
No, they'd been building the whole way.
Alan Hahn
Then they got to college and then the real, you know, it started to kick in. You had to build yourself up to the point where you're 30 years old and you're committing suicide every single day.
Ebro Darden
Every single. By the way you're throwing. While during this, it's steaks, it's everything and just every night of the week.
Alan Hahn
That's what's amazing about animals and cigars.
Peter Rosenberg
We had a little bit meeting today.
Alan Hahn
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
And if that. If it was 1967, we had the sick. The same meeting. We'd be drunk, we'd be fall over drunk.
Ebro Darden
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
We'd be smoking and drinking during that meeting.
Alan Hahn
Do you ever think that too, when whether you're, you know, like you're just meeting someone for lunch or you're. It's even like somebody that you work with and it's like you got time to kill. Hey, let's get breakfast. And you sit down, you have breakfast. You ever think that like in the 50s, right now we'd be sitting there just ripping darts and just, you know, having like a mimosa. You know what I mean?
Ebro Darden
I know there are times when I think that.
Alan Hahn
Totally different now.
Ebro Darden
So different.
Peter Rosenberg
Do you have one today?
Alan Hahn
No.
Peter Rosenberg
No.
Alan Hahn
This was good.
Ebro Darden
Me just talking through how I'm not able to drink and I've got an inch breathe.
Peter Rosenberg
We always run out of time with me. But I want to squeeze this one in because I think this is an actual conversation of talking through it So I take the family to the Somerset Patriot game on Sunday.
Ebro Darden
Okay.
Peter Rosenberg
And I'm taking a look at the upcoming events. And on May 14, Somerset Patriots are having Jewish Heritage Day. Oh, and the special guest is former Matt Archansky.
Alan Hahn
Somerset Patriots are the minor league franchise
Peter Rosenberg
of the New York Yankees and they're playing the Rumble Ponies, who are the minor league affiliate of the Mets. And the special guest is Archamsky. Now, it makes sense because Archamkski was the manager of the Israeli baseball team. He's in the Jewish hall of Fame.
Alan Hahn
Sure.
Peter Rosenberg
That's not my point. My point is the Mets don't have a Jewish Heritage Night anymore. The Yankees do. The Somerset Patriots do. And they are bringing in a former Met. Are the Yankees trolling the Mets? I'm asking a genuine question. Are the Yankees trolling the Mets by having a Jewish Heritage Night and inviting Art Shamsky, a former Met. A former Met, to be there?
Alan Hahn
I'm going to go, yes.
Ebro Darden
I would say my thought, Allen, would be yes, if it was at Yankee Stadium. But this for the Somerset Patriots, they really.
Alan Hahn
But that makes it so passive aggressive because it's too obvious. If the Yankees did it, but if they do it in the minors, it's sort of like this passive aggressive way of like calling them out without.
Peter Rosenberg
If they do it at Yankee Stadium and it's our champs, that's too obvious. But this flies under the radar. But to the discerning eye, you're going to be like, that's a little sketch. I thought it. I thought they were trolling.
Ebro Darden
I'm going to ask you a question, though. How many Jewish Yankees have there been.
Alan Hahn
Ron Bloomberg.
Peter Rosenberg
Ron Bloomberg, the first ever DH in Yankee. In baseball history.
Ebro Darden
Can you please find the drop of Michael screaming Ron Bloomberg. It's a great. It's a great drop. How many Jewish Yankees have.
Peter Rosenberg
No, there's been plenty now, I think.
Ebro Darden
Let's ease off plenty for a second.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, but Art Shamsky. Rob Bloomberg makes sense because Ken Holtzman.
Alan Hahn
Oh, Ken Holtzman, Good one.
Ebro Darden
The great Elliot Maddox.
Alan Hahn
Sure.
Ebro Darden
Kevin Euclis.
Alan Hahn
Yuke. You always forget that he was a Yankee.
Ebro Darden
I forgot it as I'm reading it right now. I'm like, oh, they confused Red Sox. Harrison Bader.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, he's still playing.
Alan Hahn
I did not know that.
Ebro Darden
And Scott Efros.
Alan Hahn
Oh, that's recent. Well, he did.
Peter Rosenberg
He.
Ebro Darden
That's all I see.
Alan Hahn
Did he actually play for the Yankees or was he just constantly on the illness?
Peter Rosenberg
I can't remember now. Art Shamsky is the perfect guest on Jewish Heritage. Night. And even though it's not the Somerset Yankees, they are affiliated with the Yankees, but they don't have an interlocking NY on their uniform.
Alan Hahn
Is there any reference in the stadium to Yankees?
Peter Rosenberg
Oh, yeah.
Alan Hahn
All over the place. There you go. That's all I need to know.
Peter Rosenberg
So I was just asking the question.
Alan Hahn
This is low key trolling.
Peter Rosenberg
I think. I think. And I'm not mad at it.
Alan Hahn
No.
Peter Rosenberg
Because I don't know why the Mets got rid of it in the first place.
Ebro Darden
What's this last. The guy's last name is Chomsky.
Peter Rosenberg
Shamsky. Come on, man. That's almost. That's. That's.
Alan Hahn
This is almost stangle.
Peter Rosenberg
That's. That's Stengel level.
Ebro Darden
Almost Shamsky.
Peter Rosenberg
He was on a 69 Mets.
Ebro Darden
Shamsky was on the 69 Mets.
Peter Rosenberg
Sure. You ever watch Everybody Loves Raymond?
Ebro Darden
No.
Alan Hahn
You ever watch YouTube?
Peter Rosenberg
Robert's dog was named Shamsky. Really? Yes. Because they were Met fans.
Alan Hahn
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
And real quick, just, just, just to be clear here you. The spelling of his last name.
Peter Rosenberg
S. Oh, Art Shamsky.
Ebro Darden
Sh.
Alan Hahn
That's what I said.
Peter Rosenberg
Shh, shh, shh. Or Chamsky.
Ebro Darden
He is on the list of confirmed Jewish ballplayers.
Peter Rosenberg
Well, he's in the hall of Fame. In the Jewish hall of Fame.
Alan Hahn
Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
He's. He was the manager of the Israeli baseball team or involved in some way. I forget. Exactly.
Ebro Darden
That's the Smasher to you and me.
Peter Rosenberg
I want to see the exact title nickname.
Ebro Darden
Sham and Smasher.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah. He was the man back in. I think it was a while ago, but is those. There was an Israeli baseball league and he was a manager in the Israeli baseball league. So he is the perfect person to have say if the Mets were doing it.
Alan Hahn
Yeah, yeah, that would work.
Peter Rosenberg
He.
Ebro Darden
He was born in St. Louis. This will answer the question on whether or not he's Jewish. To William and Sadie Shamsky, I'm going to go ahead and say mom, confirm Jewish. Sadie Shamsky.
Alan Hahn
Sadie.
Ebro Darden
I'm going with Sadie Shamsky for the win. Yeah.
Peter Rosenberg
So I think it's great.
Alan Hahn
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
But you all think it's a troll.
Peter Rosenberg
But I'm asking you. I think I'm with Allen. I think it's a low key troll.
Alan Hahn
Low key.
Peter Rosenberg
It's. And you're.
Alan Hahn
You could.
Peter Rosenberg
You could deny somebody asked. No, no. Our Chamsky's a. He's a former Met. We've had Mets here before.
Canty
We brought him in.
Ebro Darden
It says he owned a New York restaurant. Legends. Yeah, he owned Legends. Legends.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah. Yeah.
Alan Hahn
That I didn't know why did you lead with that?
Ebro Darden
He did 69 Mets. What?
Peter Rosenberg
He did radio. I think he worked at the Fan for a while.
Ebro Darden
He worked at the Fan and he did play by playing color.
Peter Rosenberg
Love him. It's a great. It's a great choice. But it just so coincides with the Mets not having Jewish Heritage Day anymore.
Alan Hahn
So you said this is in June? July.
Peter Rosenberg
No, May 14th.
Ebro Darden
May.
Peter Rosenberg
We should all go.
Alan Hahn
We should have him on.
Peter Rosenberg
I'd love to have him on. He's got great stories.
Alan Hahn
Have him on.
Peter Rosenberg
Let's have him on.
Alan Hahn
Who wants to have him on? Who's good? Who's in?

Ben Stiller was involved in a bit of controversy last night.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah. Unfortunately, Allan had to leave, so he wasn't a part of it.
Alan Hahn
I saw though.
Peter Rosenberg
Wow. Jacob, was that on the air? Wasn't on the air. Jacob.
Alan Hahn
I told Anthony yesterday that, you know what I'm going to call it as it is, zipper key. Listen. Knicks game won a Met Gala. Listen, listen. Sometimes you may have, sometimes decisions are made for you. Last year, Chalamet, he had to make a decision, went to the Met. Had to. A year later, he's like, I don't have to know, man. Listen. You know what I mean? Like, like I, I. Something tells me that that was one of those non negotiables, if you know what I mean. My relationship, I don't disagree with you. And sometimes you just gotta go. All right, gonna have to do this one. Take one for the. That's game one. I'll be back for game two. But how many times in the Knicks in the playoffs every year the last what, four years? Yeah. That's a lot. Prior to that, how many times will he go into the Met Gala? He had plenty of opportunities.
Ebro Darden
But hold on, you say that, but you like don't actually know that. Like, like for example, last night when they said they showed Timothy Chalamet, said Timothy Chalamet deciding to come to the game, not the Met Gala. Oh, and there's Tracy Morgan. They didn't say Tracy Morgan deciding to come over the Met Gala. And Tracy Morgan, like Ben Stiller is a huge, beloved comedy figure. But not everybody, unless you're Timothee Chalamet, who is the top five hottest actors in Hollywood with one of the top five hottest richest women on the planet. You don't always have like, you're definitely going to the Met Gala. Ben and Christine, maybe this was a year where a designer was like, hey,
Alan Hahn
we really like you tomorrow pre planned. And they had to go.
Ebro Darden
And his wife was like, I really want to go.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, well, go ahead.
Alan Hahn
He served as co chair in 2021, 2016. He was a part of it. 20, 26 also, I mean, we could go down the line.
Ebro Darden
So you can't count that as a win for you, but I agree.
Alan Hahn
But no, no, he.
Ebro Darden
That's a good point.
Alan Hahn
This was clearly one. I will not stand for any Ben Stiller slander.
Ebro Darden
I will not.
Peter Rosenberg
It's not slander. It's just.
Ebro Darden
I will not devalue these men.
Alan Hahn
I will not. I mean, if he has put in the time, if this was Friday, game one, what would we consider him?
Ebro Darden
Nothing.
Alan Hahn
I know him. To the honorable judge. No. I would say no. I would. I would give him. I would give him amnesty. He would not need to appear in court.
Peter Rosenberg
Yeah, but it's a question.
Alan Hahn
No, it's not.
Peter Rosenberg
It could be, and the answer is no. But if somebody wanted to call up on Friday and present the case that he's a fraud, I would vote no. But it's still worth the question. He's a die hard Nick fan. Missing a Nick.
Ebro Darden
It's a fair question.
Peter Rosenberg
It's round two. See, this is what people gotta understand, all right? Some of these Knick fans have to get out of this whole rarefied air. Like Alan said, this is routine. Now, second round is routine. You don't want to miss it. But things are going to happen. I'm sorry. I would think the Met Gala for somebody like him with his wife wanting to go, would be similar to a friend getting married. So you're telling me you wouldn't go to their wedding?
Alan Hahn
You know what? This reminds me. When you call out, when you try to call out Ben for this, this is the thing that drives you crazy about Dave Rothenberg and proving I'm such a fan, right? And all the things, the extremes you'll go to, to prove that the team is more important than anything else in my life, right? And if you have one moment, like for instance, I could miss a game. If the Knicks advance for Gracie's graduation, I might not. I might not be able to be there at the game. Am I fraud?
Ebro Darden
Of course not.
Alan Hahn
See, but that's. But wait, no, no. Why couldn't I just say to Gracie, you know, graduation. I've seen three of them already.
Ebro Darden
It's a great point. You have a lot of kids, you
Alan Hahn
know, what do I need to go to this for? You know, they're in the playoffs, so they're one win away from the finals. And I'm going to go to your. I'm going to sit. Sit at this, this graduation. What am I getting out of this, right? Like. Like, who's to say, some Lunatic fan would say, you know, I'll tell you what, they're streaming the graduation, right? I'll watch the graduation on streaming.
Ebro Darden
I hear what you're saying.
Canty
You're right.
Alan Hahn
Prove how big of a fan you are versus. It's one game. I've been to every other. I'll be to all the others. But one night is for her because
Peter Rosenberg
you're a normal human being.
Alan Hahn
All right, but. But that's been.
Peter Rosenberg
Your thing about this point, is that you're trying to prove. We're going to get into a debate one day, whether it's at the Pearly Gates or down the road somewhere on earth where we're going to debate who's a bigger fan. And you're going to throw out. Well, I miss my daughter's graduation, so. Or, you know, I might. I missed the birth of my child. All right, guess. Well, you're a yo, yo.
Ebro Darden
You know what?
Peter Rosenberg
You win. All right, good.
Ebro Darden
You care more than I do.
Peter Rosenberg
Because if you're. If that's what you got to do to prove you're that big of a fan, you know what? Have it.
Ebro Darden
Have the.
Peter Rosenberg
Have the award.
Ebro Darden
I think McAfee went after Stiller today.
Alan Hahn
Of course, A lot of people did. A lot of people did. Because, by the way, first of all, it's easy target. It's fun. It's. It'll go viral, you know, all that stuff. And fans will want to do that because he has become a very visible fan. Not to the level of Spike Lee, but very close.
Ebro Darden
He's getting there.
Alan Hahn
And again, like, it's just a man drama. I hate. It's so silly.
Ebro Darden
And also, also, you're being. It's easy for people to say they would never go to the Met Gala when they would also never be invited
Canty
to the Met Gala.
Alan Hahn
Exactly.
Ebro Darden
I'm gonna be honest, guys. Game one. Of any team that I love. If it's game one.
Alan Hahn
Yeah.
Ebro Darden
Of any team that I love and let me name drop in a realistic way. I'm basically friends with, like, one person who I would go to, maybe a couple that would go to the Met Gala if Mark Ronson called me and said, my wife, who's a big time actress now a daughter of Meryl Streep, she can't go to the Met Gala. I have to. It would be fun. Come with me. I'm telling you right now, I'm skipping any game one to go celeb watch at the Met Gala, guaranteed. Sorry. You think I'm a nozzle all you want. I want to do it. So everyone pretending as if he literally was going like he was just like, ah. I felt like staying home and taking a bath. I didn't want to watch the game. It was game one, guys. He's been at every home game. He'll be back on Wednesday.
Alan Hahn
He's also been to road games.
Don Hahn
Thanks for listening to the Don Hahn and Rosenberg podcast.
Ebro Darden
I don't want to know how the
Alan Hahn
sausage is made, man. I just want to know. It's good.
