I'm not going to that. I'm not going to that game. And I saw them when they got back. Let me tell you. The husband didn't want to talk about

it because he had to take his

life well, by the way. And it was a. It was a. It was a dud. Brazil was so bad. They were Brazil fans.

No, just. She really wanted to go see a World cup soccer game. They won the lottery. They paid the face value, and they could have gotten seven grand more per ticket and still went, you know, hit

him with the button.

That is teen grand. And you left that to. To go to the event. And you're telling me so. All right, so what would you take? Well, why not? Like, how about you? What is your favorite team? What is the event you'd want to see?

I mean, I'm a New England fan, admittedly. Don't hang up on me. No, you're good. Any. You know, if I could see the Red Sox and again, if I could go back to 04. I know, it's fantasyland. Go back to 04. See me, there's no. We can't do that.

[Peter Rosenberg]

Yeah.

[Caller Buddy]

Red Sox, Game 7. Sure. A Patriots super bowl, which I didn't. I never got a chance to go to one, but if that came up. Sure. But if somebody offered me 10, you know, a Masters, maybe a Sunday Masters round with speed from the lead, something of that nature. But I gotta tell you man, somebody offered me seven to ten grand more than I paid.

[Peter Rosenberg]

Yeah, you're out.

[Caller Buddy]

I'm watching a lot. I'm out. I'm going to Hawaii with that money.

[Peter Rosenberg]

Exactly. I'll watch on a really, really expensive TV and feel like I'm there.

I told my friend, I said why didn't you just send the Mrs. And get eight grand and then take her to Hawaii?

[Peter Rosenberg]

Because I don't think she'd go you to Hawaii if you left her on her own. Here, go with this guy.

I just sold this ticket to this guy. Go sit with him.

I definitely would want to go and see the Cowboys vs Jets Super Bowl. Huge Cowboys fan. Been been one since the early 90s. My dad was so just been passed down with that curse. But think of how electric that atmosphere will be with America's team going against New York in a drought. I think it would be absolutely electric. And obviously I got to take my little guy with me.

[Peter Rosenberg]

And how much would you pay?

[Caller Phil]

I'd pay 10 grand a ticket.

[Peter Rosenberg]

10 grand a ticket. And the thing is, Phil, you know why you'd feel good about it?

[Caller Phil]

Because the Cowboys are probably going to win.

[Peter Rosenberg]

Yeah, of course. Because they're playing the Jets.

[Rich Eisen]

Yeah.

[Alan]

It's a guaranteed.

[Caller Phil]

Even if they did lose, I would be devastated. But I would feel, you know, have a little bit of happiness for the people in my life that root for. For the Jets.

Wow, you're a nice guy.

I feel really good about that.

Since you brought up the super bowl, let me just continue that that thought.

So I think for me, I think the event I would probably pay the most for would be a Commander's championship game.

[Peter Rosenberg]

NFC championship.

[Alan]

Yeah, I think so.

And part of me thinks a way would be even better.

Like Lambeau or something like that. Going to a historic place to see my team in the championship game. I mean, although they're going to build a new build. I hate FedEx Field.

Well, that's.

So think of the way you think of MetLife.

[Peter Rosenberg]

But worse, I hate metlife.

[Alan]

So like. But when they open the new place the way it looks, maybe I'd feel different do anything. But I think for me right now, like, I don't think there's a concert out there. You know, I've seen most all the people I'm desperate to see who are living and you could see I've done all the wrestling things there are to do. You know, I've been ringside at, you know, incredible events before. We have CM Punk on the show tomorrow, 4 o'.

I'm looking forward to that.

When CM Punk won the title at Madison Square Garden, he fell into my lap. Like in the WWE yearbook, where they have all these photos of that moment. In every big photo, it's me wearing a Hot 97 T shirt and a matching Redskins hat with CM Punk in my lap.

[Peter Rosenberg]

Like, why is he in your lap?

[Alan]

Because he fell backwards into the crowd, and I was in the front row when he won the title at the Garden.

[Peter Rosenberg]

So there's your moment.

[Alan]

I've had a lot of great. Yeah, I've had a lot of great wrestling moments. So they would have to be probably Commanders, and I'm guessing it would be because Super Bowl. The thing is, would I like to go to the super bowl if I had a hookup? Like, someone from the Commanders was like, hey, we can get you in a suite. Sure, I'd go. But in terms of, like, spending a ton of money, you're traveling to someplace else that's not home. You have to go somewhere else. You have to get a hotel, you have to do all the things. The game is weird. Security is annoying. If they lose, you're stuck in the biggest event ever, trying to get back

[Peter Rosenberg]

to an airport to fly home, miserable, miserable, miserable. And now you're like, and now I'm 20 grand light.

[Alan]

And it's. And if the championship game would cost me.

[Caller Joe]

Oh.

[Alan]

Because what would the amount I'd pay. I guess the most I'd ever consider. I cannot picture a world in which I would spend more than, like, three to $5,000 for anything. I don't think I could.

[Peter Rosenberg]

I think anything over five year, you're losing your mind. Or it just needs to be like, you need to be somebody that just had never, never experienced again. We are a little spoiled. Like, we're. We're so privileged because of our, like, what we've been exposed to that we've seen behind the scenes in major events. We know what it looks like. You can't really remove off camera. Like, we get it. And so I do think there's something to that, that I think it's kind of taking the innocence away.

Yeah.

It's hard to ask us because of that, but that's where I'm.

[Peter Rosenberg]

That's where I'm at with it, I think. Championship game, Super Bowl. I'd probably rather watch the super bowl at home if I ever. If I ever get to see one again.

Just. Just going off of your conversation, which I watch every day. Back in the 70s, a lot of times you couldn't get concert tickets. It was hard, especially for big groups and any WWenny WFM used to. You send in the postcard, you get selected, you know you can get two tickets. Yeah, well, we got two tickets. We were lucky enough to get selected. We waited at the Capitol Theater in Passaic, out online for three hours to get to the box office.

[Peter Rosenberg]

Okay.

[Caller Joe]

Get to the box office. The seats are in the second row, dead center.

[Caller Rich]

Wow.

[Caller Joe]

The guy behind me sees where the tickets are. The guy in the box office offered to buy the tickets. Both of these guys. The guy in the box office, $500 a ticket.

[Caller Q]

Wow.

[Caller Joe]

And it was for the whole. And to see the who in the 3,000 seat theater.

[Peter Rosenberg]

Yeah.

[Caller Joe]

In the second row. Take your. And $500 in the 70s was a lot of money.

[Peter Rosenberg]

What'd you do?

[Caller Joe]

It was a huge. We took the tickets and went to the show.

[Peter Rosenberg]

You turn now. So you turned down $1,000.

Absolutely.

Because you wanted to see the show. That.

Yeah, because you.

Out here in Palm Springs last November, they were doing their tour and it was over. They had one show. It was a private show in LA for some charity. They scheduled another concert and I got to see them in the arena here where the Firehawks play the last show they ever played together. And I was lucky enough to see that.

And what'd you pay for that?

[Caller Joe]

About $250 a ticket.

[Peter Rosenberg]

And that's not too bad.

How much would it take for someone to give you some bread to stay home and sit back and watch it from home?
