Ian Fitzsimmons here and I'm going to be brutally honest with you. I was skeptical about ordering plants online. Like this is actually going to show up alive at my house. But after my wife and I ordered from Fast growing trees, convinced they had this thing down to a science, they've built a whole system to protect your plants until they arrive. They even have a lab where they test against cold, heat, humidity, you name it, any condition, they've got it and they thrive. We couldn't believe how good our plants looked when they arrived at our doorstep and everything showed up up exactly how he expected. A perfectly healthy plant that was easy to unbox and ready to go. Every order is backed by their alive and thrive garon tea and you'll get ongoing support from real knowledgeable experts. They have unbelievable deals on spring planting essentials. And right now you can get an additional 20% off your first order with the code Sports at checkout. That's 20% off@fast growing trees.com with the code sports terms and conditions apply. Again, that's fast. Growingtrees.com code sports.

Caller Anthony
Hey, guys, how you doing? Happy Thursday.
Mike Rosenberg
Same to you, man.
Caller Anthony
So I just want to, I was first going to bring up, just quickly, my Yankees point. You know, it really would suck if Brady goes out for a while now with an elbow. Him and Cole are two of the best pitchers of this decade and they're supposed to be on this rotation together and they probably won't be together at all for the first two years. So that's pretty disheartening for a Yankees fan.
Mike Rosenberg
Well, we'll see.
Caller Anthony
I wanted to, you know. Yeah. So I also, I brought this up to Anthony on the phone. Don, I want to say, started off by saying I think you're genuinely one of the best guys Ever. I think you're very.
Mike Rosenberg
I don't like this guy. I want to say.
Alan Hahn
I don't like.
Caller or Guest
I don't like.
Alan Hahn
Yeah, this is setting up.
Caller Anthony
You're my guy, you know, You're a New Jersey guy. North Jersey guy. So you're my guy, Don. And I've never seen or heard anything that you may have done or said that made me think you are a bad guy.
Mike Rosenberg
Okay.
Caller Anthony
Except earlier this week. Earlier this week, you were talking about kind of the buzz in the city and how the Knicks, you know, getting news coverage when you go and you turn on the news and you see the hack newscasters, you were saying, who, like, are wearing a nick hat or talking about the Knicks. And you used to say how you hated that.
Mike Rosenberg
Yes.
Caller Anthony
And then you proceeded to go and mention you were thinking about a name, and then you remember and you said, penny Crone.
Mike Rosenberg
Yes.
Caller Anthony
And you continue to kill Penny Crone. You killed her. You killed her. Literally. You said, no.
Mike Rosenberg
I asked if she was still with us. Yeah.
Caller or Guest
That's unfortunate.
Caller Anthony
You played. They played dead or alive. Then when you found Jacob, came said, no, she. She's a wonderful woman. She's a real estate agent. You continued on to kill her and say, oh, she was. She was an old hag back then.
Mike Rosenberg
Well, I never say. I never put my eyes about. I never said old hag. I was surprised. I thought she was a lot older than she was. I just used her as an example of somebody that wasn't a fan and all of a sudden became a fan. Because I feel like if you're a Nick. But I think she's a wonderful.
Caller Anthony
I don't try to save it. Alan tried to save it. Alan said she's a wonderful woman.
Mike Rosenberg
And he doesn't know.
Caller Anthony
He has no idea why.
Mike Rosenberg
Because she's selling real estate. That makes her a wonderful woman. She might be, but Alan doesn't know.
Alan Hahn
I know her well. She's wonderful.
Caller or Guest
I'll tell you what Alan didn't do.
Mike Rosenberg
Alan didn't kill her. Dead. Yeah. I didn't say she was dead.
Alan Hahn
I didn't say she was an old hag either, Don.
Mike Rosenberg
I never said old.
Caller Anthony
Ha.
Mike Rosenberg
I. All I did was ask if she was still with us. Right.
Caller or Guest
Well, it's tough.
Caller Anthony
Penny Crone was actually. She was on the Howard Stern show in the early 2000s on the Stern Howard 100 news team. And she was really funny. They used to torture her, but she was a really nice
Mike Rosenberg
going by.
Caller Anthony
Killed her.
Mike Rosenberg
Let's get her on the show. Listen, I did. Did I kill Sidney Poitier. Absolutely. I. I did not kill Penny Crone. I just asked the question, is she still with us? And a woman that was 47 years old 30 years ago would then be, what, 77? It's worth it. It's worth the ask.
Alan Hahn
You think it's on the table?
Mike Rosenberg
I'm just asking.
Alan Hahn
All right, well, I'm saying let's get her on the show.
Mike Rosenberg
All I'm saying is, see how big
Alan Hahn
of a Knicks fan she is.
Mike Rosenberg
She was kind of the face of the news anchor that doesn't know anything about sports. All of a sudden, throwing on the cap and rallying around. She was the poster child of that in the late 90s. Am I wrong about that, Alan? Because they gave us.
Alan Hahn
She was very excited. So they'd go to the news after the game, and there she is, all fired up, like, that was great. She was into it. She loved it.
Ian Fitzsimmons
And she.
Commercial Voice
You know what?
Alan Hahn
She was. She was. It was very typical of anybody, you know, Right?
Commercial Voice
Because you're.
Alan Hahn
You're entrenched in sports. Like, you love sports, you follow sports, you're into it. But, you know, people in your life that aren't, but they like when things are fun and everybody's into something, so they get into it, too. So when the Yankees become a thing, then they're like, you know what? I love this.
Commercial Voice
This is great.
Alan Hahn
Isn't this fun? They put a hat on it. No, like, tell me about the Jeter guy. What's. What. What is it with him?
Mike Rosenberg
I say, none of your business.
Don Hahn
Where.
Mike Rosenberg
Where were you in August with the 10:31st pitch in Oakland?
Alan Hahn
Oh, you're the guy that closes. You're the guy that locks the gate when you have a party.
Mike Rosenberg

Mike Rosenberg
With who?
Caller or Guest
No, no, I. I sometimes am the guy who locks the game.
Alan Hahn
Yeah, it happens.
Mike Rosenberg
Just don't want everybody.
Alan Hahn
This party's roaring and you don't want anymore. No one else can enjoy it.
Caller or Guest
We've had enough.
Alan Hahn
You weren't here early. Unless it's a Don pool party.
Mike Rosenberg
No, but because. No. You know what it is? I have a party every week and you're above the party. You're not interested in the party, and all of a sudden the party gets hot, and all of a sudden people are buzzing about everybody wants and you want in. I would say, you know what? Where were you seven Sundays ago when I had the party? You didn't think it was cool, and all of a sudden some famous people showed up and now you want to be in. No. You're either in or you're out. How about that? Why can't we make a decision?
Caller or Guest
Don't be lukewarm.
Mike Rosenberg
I don't celebrate the lukewarm. You know what happens when my tub has lukewarm water? I get more hot water. I don't want it.
Ian Fitzsimmons
Or you pee it.
Alan Hahn
Sorry. So you're telling me that the Penny Crohn's of the world are not allowed to listen to our show? Because where were you when it started? Now all of a sudden, the Knicks are good. They're on a run. Now you want to listen to our show, so they can't listen.
Mike Rosenberg
Now if all of a sudden I
Alan Hahn
welcome everybody who wants to have fun.
Mike Rosenberg
Yeah. But if all of a sudden we became number one and she's running around with a Don, Han and Rosenberg hat, I'd have two Questions. Number one, where'd you get that hat? And number two, where were you when we first started and we were trying to move up the charts? No, no, you're bandwagon. Bandwagon. I got no time for bandwagon.
Alan Hahn
Still on the way.
Caller or Guest
I will tell you, when I was young, I think I've told you guys this before. When I was young, the 91 Redskins, one of the, you know, I think Don Legreca agrees. Top five Super bowl team of all time.
Mike Rosenberg
One of the greatest teams.
Caller or Guest
Oh, yeah, there was this big thing they started in the Washington Post called, you know, they started talking about the Redskins bandwagon and they made bumper stickers that they sent out in the newspaper. You talk about a different time.
Alan Hahn
Bumper stickers in the paper.
Caller or Guest
Yes, the bumper sticker went out in the, in the Sunday Post, I guess, you know, the special Sunday. Yeah, a Sunday. And the bumper sticker started going on everyone's cars. And at the time I was so annoyed because I'm like, Redskins bandwagon. You know, what is this? But the thing is, as I've gotten older, what I've realized is the bandwagon isn't really necessarily about big sports fans coming on board. The bandwagon is about other locals who just aren't that into sports. But because it's local and it's getting to this point, they just get more excited and they want to be a part of it.
Mike Rosenberg
And I don't care for it now,
Caller or Guest
and I hear you, they certainly don't deserve to be at the front of the line. But like in my old age, I don't mind it as much. I get it. At least you want to support something. They're not big sports fans, you know, they're not. Not all people have time for sports and now they're here. The thing is, I see it though, because when you walk around, everyone wants to talk about this Knicks basketball team. It's hard not to enjoy it a little bit. But again, I'm not a Knicks fan, so I'm as fraudulent as they get.
Alan Hahn
So it's good for business, boys.
Caller or Guest
It is good for business. The bandwagon's great for business, that's for sure. Good for our business, too.
Alan Hahn
Sure is.
Caller or Guest
I mean, imagine a world where we did even more business with msg. Wouldn't that be amazing? Think about how cool that would be. This Knicks thing just keeps getting bigger and bigger. They're going to take this could be a multi year window. We don't know what's going to happen.
Mike Rosenberg
You don't know.
Caller or Guest
What if they go to the finals this year? Suppose they even come up short. But they battle in the finals. Then they're back again next year. Then you're looking at a window of four years. Multiple conference finals, finals appearances changes everybody's bottom line, boys.
Mike Rosenberg
Well, it's good business. Let's see if we can get like a Warriors or Bulls run.
Caller or Guest
Well, calm down. Now you've gone too far.
Mike Rosenberg
Now I've gone too far avoiding your

Let's play this game Allen with your favorite teams. What happened 30 years ago today. Oh, my God, it's a Yankee.
Alan Hahn
It's a Yankee.
Mike Rosenberg
Yeah.
Alan Hahn
Doc.
Mike Rosenberg
There you go. Doc Gooden's no hitter.
Alan Hahn
No hitter. That final out wasn't easy. That thing floated a little bit. It'll pop up. Jeter.
Mike Rosenberg
God, that made me sick.
Alan Hahn
He had to circle under it. Yeah. How did that. How. How did that make.
Mike Rosenberg
I was at sportsphone.
Alan Hahn
Of course you were.
Mike Rosenberg
And I'll never hope you. Listen, I want to reconnect with this guy. I've talked about him before. Dominic Nastani. Big Islander fan, big Dolphin fan. Okay, okay.
Alan Hahn
Don't make sense.
Mike Rosenberg
And he was a big Met fan. He lived out on Long Island. He's a little bit older than me
Alan Hahn
and lived on Long island and was a Dolphins fan.
Mike Rosenberg
Yeah, he's a Dolphins fan for some reason, but big Islander fan, big hockey fan. And he loved the Mets, but he's rooting for Doc to get the no hitter. I'm like, what are you doing? He's like, it's good. He goes, you're just jealous. The Yankees are good. I'm like, yeah, but that's our guy. That's our guy. And now the Mets, who had not had a no hitter to that point. And Doc to get a no hitter, that bothered me. I'm sorry. I'm not going to lie. It bothered me. And you can understand that.
Alan Hahn
I totally agree with you. I do understand.
Mike Rosenberg
So that's quite the day for you. The Volek game winner in overtime. It's game seven.
Alan Hahn
Yeah. I'm trying to think in 93, where were they in the conference finals with the Bull. I hope this isn't the Charles Smith game date. That was probably gonna look that up. All right. Like, like, it feels like a lot was. Ha. That. I'll tell you what, that, that, that, that 93, though, that was. That was quite a spring. But May. May in the 90s, it always felt like something exciting was happening.
Mike Rosenberg
There's a lot of going on.
Alan Hahn
The Yankees were giving you a lot of even early in the season those days. And it was either the, you know, the Rangers, even though I wasn't rooting for that, that Rangers runs in 94 and 97 were pretty special.
Mike Rosenberg
Now that Bull series didn't start till the 23rd.
Alan Hahn
Okay, all right. So nothing special that year.
Mike Rosenberg
One of the first two games of this. Oh, my God. It's gonna make you sick.
Alan Hahn
Like this date, this, this date in the 90s in New York sports, you could probably find a lot of stuff happening.
Mike Rosenberg
So Knicks, Hornets, Hornets beat the Knicks that day, 110 to 106 to get back in the series. The Knicks one is best of five.
Alan Hahn
Yeah. There was two one there, right?
Mike Rosenberg
And it was two one. Knicks won the first two games at home.
Alan Hahn
Yeah.
Mike Rosenberg
And then they lost, 110 to 106. Patrick. Wow. We get this. I got to get the box score. This one. Alonzo went off at 34 points.
Alan Hahn
That was out in the old Charlotte Coliseum. 20,000 people. They call it the hive. And it was so loud, that game. The Knicks, like, they didn't have a chance. Like it was. They were so fired up for that game. You knew they weren't going to. You were going to give them that one. That was the gentleman's sweep thing. You give them that one, and then you just take them out in the last one.
Mike Rosenberg
Trying to see who led the knicks in points. Ewing, 26. Shocker, 26, 14 rebounds.
Alan Hahn
It was pretty good.
Mike Rosenberg
Starks and Oakley had 19 each.
Alan Hahn
Not enough.
Mike Rosenberg
Mason, 15.
Caller or Guest
Not enough.
Mike Rosenberg
Got a good game for Mace. He had a double double, 15 points, 11 rebounds.
Alan Hahn
Anthony Mason was a really good player.
Mike Rosenberg
No, I'm just saying that that was. It was a good game. And then they. They went ahead and, you know, took care of business in the next two. George was banned from baseball's executive council
Alan Hahn
on this day in 97. Wow. Headlines everywhere.
Mike Rosenberg
Sounds like your dog's in the house. Yeah, I hear a lot of sliding on the Lenoir.
Alan Hahn
Yeah. Kobe just came for a visit, but he's. He's too busy fighting with Barkley, so.
Mike Rosenberg
All right, let's try to squeeze in one more. Why not? Spike and save Pete. How are you, man? Spike.
Caller Spike
Hey, man, I'm sorry I've been fighting here. Thanks, boys, for getting me in. Alan, what did I tell you two weeks ago? I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch. But I thought that Kenny could come up with a plan to beat jb. And I tell you, it was an ugly game last night, but the Pistons have abandoned Cade Cunningham and they're leaving him all alone. I don't want to hear about the turnovers. I've said all year long, he's the best player in the conference. He's putin. It showed out. But Cleveland's got too much size. Back to Larry Hardesty and Eubie Brown. What do you think?
Alan Hahn
Duran's been invisible, and that can't happen. It can't happen. They're calling him out now.
Commercial Voice
He's.
Alan Hahn
You can see he's struggling with it mentally. Really psyched out. They.
Mike Rosenberg
They, they.
Alan Hahn
They should have had a foul called in the last second there. Didn't happen. But they blew 90 run on your home floor. You got to win that game. You know what they did? They 20, they 2025 nixed it. That's what they did. They were about to take control of the series and they were up and they let a team come back and tie it. You can't do that. It's very, very 2025 Knicks of them
Mike Rosenberg
and it's probably going to cost them because the Cavs have not lost a home game in these playoffs. Yeah, that was their first road win and I got to win two in a row. Can they do it?
Alan Hahn
Of course they can. They were down to Orlando.
Caller Anthony
Right.
Mike Rosenberg
But it's, it's spooky.
Alan Hahn
Something to keep in mind though real quick is something that has just come around that we've been our MSG group chat a stomach bug going around the cabs right now. Atkinson was telling the media there's an illness going around. Several players are dealing with it. What kind of impact does that have on the game tomorrow night?
Mike Rosenberg
Well, it could have a huge impact. We'll see. Usually those things don't last that long, but who knows if it's today, go through a team, certainly affect them moving forward.
Caller or Guest
All right, not what you want.
Mike Rosenberg
Timing was back again with you tomorrow at 3 o'.
Caller Anthony
Clock.
Mike Rosenberg
Stay tuned to see if we'll hear from Alan Hahn.
